bisexual as shit. the only person more bisexual than him is probably sinbad

has adhd (this is more self projecting than anything--which i actually have basis for)

knows more about trade and economics than sinbad and is much better at it than him (i also have basis for this. sinbad only spent time learning from rashid for what 3 months? alibaba was in the palace with not only rashid but also other economic and trade geniuses for several years)

literal fucking sunshine. bitch is sunshine incarnate

can do makeup really well

(trigger warning abt topics like the effects of living on the streets below. i like angst so i kinda make it darker than necessary)

he hates eating in front of people because he eats his food as fast as he possibly can and without swallowing out of habit. he just basically inhales it as fast as possible

he also habitually eats as much as he possibly can until he thinks he'll puke

both of these reasons are because he grew up without much food if any. he's used to having to eat his food as fast as possible and to eating as much as he can possibly get. if he didnt eat his food fast enough someone else would rip it from his mouth

he's had to fight wild animals over food before

on another lighter note, because he is used to just shoving food down his throat and not swallowing or tasting, he doesnt have a gag reflex. now back to angst;

hes actually very fast and extremely good at outmaneuvering people due to having to steal to survive

hes unmatched at thievery

when he joined the fog troupe he was just a figurehead but that wasnt for nothing. alibaba knew how to steal. he knew everything there was to know about thievery. the only person who could match him was cassim

there's a saying in the slums of balbadd. "the only person who can catch a street rat is another street rat." alibaba and cassim live up to that

alibaba does everything he can to make sure his friends (mainly morgiana, aladdin, kougyoku, and hakuryuu) never find out about this side of him. he shouldnt have to be but hes extremely ashamed of it

super fucking good at acting and manipulating. he had to to survive when he was younger. but he hates doing it

extreme anxiety due to the trauma of always feeling like he has to be on guard when he lived in the slums

habitually super protective of his food. will stab people instinctively if they try to take his food

sees giving food as super loving because he didnt have food growing up. so if he like gave you a random loaf of bread it means he cares deeply about you

is much better at surviving in terrible situations and adapting bc of how he grew up
