The pride of a nation, an icon! A plane that served her country well and helped the world recover from this pandemic, destroyed in her country's darkest hours!!

Though compared to all else, it is nothing and just a plane, losing the Antonov 225 Mriya is a tragedy given the symbolic and national icon for Ukraine that it was! It wasn't an ancient ruin or building, but it had the same value for her country and its loss is to that extent.

Russia may have destroyed the AN-225 Mriya, but they will NEVER destroy Ukraine's Mriya!

The dream doesn't die today or ever!!

The world is watching and is on the side of Ukraine! History will remember Putin for the monster he is!!

Capping off this year's acquisition of @antonov_company releases by @yrdmodel is the Antonov An-225 in current livery. In 2009, the world's sole An-225 was painted in the yellow and blue colours of @antonovairlines. The mould is as equally impressive as the version with the Buran space shuttle. In comparison to the smaller An-124, the fuselage cross section remains the same although the slightly longer nose of the An-225 is also noticeable. This is the last thing to upload before I’m caught up on Tumblr. ^^

Continuing my schedule of uploading previous work to catch up here.

...Although this is pretty recent anyway. XD

But anyhow, this was a part of #InkSpell created by @themandii (on Twitter) and this is day 9 of the prompts “Rare,” Rare it is; actually one of a kind. This behemoth is the An-225 made by Antonov during the late 80′s in the Soviet Union to transport the Buran Space Shuttle but now is owned by Antonov Airlies to transport outsize cargo that no other aircraft can lift nor no other transport be as fast as it. It holds the record for lifting 253 tonnes.

Anyway yeah, cool aircraft and I drew it; drew it rather well methinks. XD
