Ninjago has a big cast of characters, and in it I’ve realised theres not that many characters with widely unique hair colours.

The colours white and silver don’t count, since those are still common and natural hair colours all things considered. Neither does red obviously.

Theres Sora, Gandalaria, Sally, Geo, Morro (green streak), Tox, Chamille, Seliel, Antonia, aaaand i think thats it.

This is including all side characters, villains, allies, main characters and so on btw. And for some reason three have pink hair.

Honestly, with Ninjago having such a big cast i was expecting way more character with unnaturally coloured hair. Though there’s definitely one or two characters I’ve missed.

I have noticed that a lot of Ninjago characters have very distinct eyebrows.

Though, a lot also look very similar with slight differences. Surprising enough quite a few have pointy eyebrows like Morro’s, even Cole’s mum, despite it commonly being shown as a feature villains have in the early seasons.

The designs of characters must be important in developing Ninjago, and probably any other lego show because they can’t show differences in characters through face shapes, body shapes, height, or any other feature like that often. So every small detail is important in differentiating characters as well as showing their personalities through those aspects more then they would in other non lego related shows.

Hey! I just wanted to say that Antonia and Jake are both based on real people, and that's really cool! Plus I think more people in the fandom should become aware of this, I didn't know till just earlier to day.

PaperStar = Sally x Antonia

Named such because Antonia is a papergirl who delivers newspapers, and Sally wants to be a famous pop-star. Thus, you get “paper star”.

Any space marked with [X] is because I couldn't find any other Ninjago characters suitable. (Everybody in this show is way older than I thought, and I can't include too many EM's.) These are just placeholders, and the 'characters' will probably just be killed off at the start.

I gave them surnames. How is it that like, only Jay and Antonie have canonical surnames. Why. (The surnames I chose for them are Japanese with handpicked meanings btw lol) except benthomaar?? Idk ignore him

Arisu is not in the show, she is an oc of mine that is planned to be revealed in the second arc of my other fic (The Dead Have No Favourites) and I thought it would be fun to shove her into the Hunger Games. Why not, she wouldn't fare too badly.

Pretty small Ninjago s14 e11 spoiler. And a rant about what a scene from that episode was good.

Probably a weird thing to point out, and note, but I really liked how the scene where Kai gets CPR was handled. Maybe just my experience, but a lot of shows I watched back when I was younger turned cpr into something either gross, sexual, or romantic, simply because of mouth on mouth contact, regardless of the fact that someone's life is being saved.

And Ninjago, a kids show, that's aesthetically similar to shows that would do that, didn't actually do that! It held the scene with good maturity, with Antonia giving Kai CPR, and that was it.

It wasn't turned into a gross taboo, it was just her saving his life by doing a medical procedure. I'm actually so proud of this scene, especially coming from a show that made a few debatably misogynistic jokes back in its reeeaaally early seasons. (Obviously it's evolved since then)

I watched that scene and was like "Wow, it... It didn't mention anything weird. It just showed a normal, on the spot, CPR procedure."

I'm not sure how accurate it was, or how accurate it could be, given it's literally animated with 3d models of Lego mini figures, but still.

Hmm, this ones difficult bc most of my headcannons are physical trait ones rather than other stuff lol,, tho ig that counts... y'know what, why the heck not.

Personally, I think Echo (if he's still alive lmao) eventually got really tired of looking so much like Zane and had one of those late night identity crises in the bathroom where you drastically change your hair.

I don't think I've really picked a favorite, but I think I'm gonna go with Antonia, I got really invested in the whole paperboys subplot with her and Nelson lol. I just think she's neat.

I wonder what she's up to in Dragons Rising, if she's okay,, I miss the paperboys, they were such a cute group :(
