Joe! Cercati un posto per morire! (Find a Place to Die, 1968)
"Two bastards aren't enough, Gomez. We'll need at least four."
"You can have as many bastards as you want, I know them all."

Jeff 'Pike' Hunter is a decent lead (in one of his final completed films before his untimely death) but the misfits and#rotters he gathers are more interesting characters‚ particularly Lastretti's faux preacher with a penchant for torture#director Carnimeo would go on to make the iconic Sartana series‚ but this hasn't the visual audacity or weird style of those films#it's a decent enough time tho‚ and a modest runtime means it doesn't really have time to get too sluggish

Well, another day, another way the National Hockey League has found to disappoint me. At this rate I'm no longer even surprised. Just sad. Very very sad.
ANYWAYS, for those interested, and looking for some bright spots today, here is a by no means comphrensive list of NHL players who have been actively vocal and demonstrative in their support of the LGBTQA+ community, who have attended Pride parades, or in other ways have proven to at least try to be allies. Some might surpise you. They did me as I looked into this (Brad Marchand? Mark Schiefle? yes!) (I'd rather focus the energy on these guys than those who don't deserve my time, fandom, or money for their apparel):
Quinn Hughes
Oliver Ekman-Larsson
Jon Merrill
JT Miller
Jacob Markstrom
MacKenzie Weegar
Jonathan Huberdeau
Rasmus Andersson
Alexander Wennberg
Roman Josi
Jack Hughes
Timo Meier
Matthew Tkachuck
Aaron Ekblad
Charlie MacAvoy
Morgan Rielly
John Klingberg (literally had a video on learning how to be an ally in the dressing room, if you didnt know)
Josh Morrissey
Mark Schiefle
Dylan Demelo
Mat Barzal
Tyler Seguin
Mitch Marner
Erik Johnson
Nathan MacKinnon
Connor McDavid
Anthony Duclair
Gabriel Landeskog

❝ me? no i don’t think i’m—i mean. yeah sometimes i think about what it’d be like to kiss guys but i’d never…come on, everyone thinks about it a little bit right? ❞ from @televisionrotsyourbrain
“Mmm, ah’m gonna go wit’ a hard no on that one.” Angel couldn’t help the smirk that crossed his features, head tilted a little. He would maybe have agreed with the guy, maybe, if that hadn’t been the exact same argument that he had with himself when he was alive. When he had first started realizing that he liked men, and would much rather kiss Bobby that sat three seats down from him in Catholic school then think about the fact that Patricia had started ‘blossoming into a woman’ or whatever the fuck his dad tried to tell him and his brother once they were teenagers.
He would have thought that everyone had been just a little gay, if not for the vile homophobia he had endured from his family. And hey, maybe they were covering it up. Maybe they did think about kissing boys, and that was why they got so up in arms. But maybe they hadn’t. Because Anthony Giordano, not once, had thought about kissing girls. There was no way everyone was a little bit gay if everyone was also not a little bit straight. Them’s were the rules.
He's leaning in towards the other, hands on his hips as he bent just slightly at the waist, raising an eyebrow. “How often yeh’ thinkin’ about kissin’ boys, exactly?” He dares to be bold, as he often has no boundaries, taking a finger and bringing it under the other’s chin to raise it slightly, only a few inches separating their faces at this point. “Maybe yeh’ should go ahead and test it out. See if yeh’ disgusted by kissin’ a guy like me, or if it makes yeh’ feel a little weak in th’ knees.”

Summer Reading Challange
Hello, Tumblr followers, casual watchers, first-timers, and anonymous visitors. I created this blog to share my passions with other academics. As a workaholic master's student, Tumblr is my little oasis of peace.
Since summer vacation just started and I, due to school and work, haven't been able to read as much as I would have liked, I decided to start a summer reading challenge, from July 1 to September 30. The goal is to read as many books as I can. I will occasionally post reviews of the books I will read.
If you want, you can leave recommendations, leave your own opinions or share your own summer challenge and progress. The first version of my list includes 30 titles, I will add more later if something seems interesting to me.
Summer Reading Challenge List:
The Goldfinch // Donna Tartt
The Master and Margarita // Mikhail Bulgakov
Dead Souls // Nikolai Gogol
The Red Room // August Strindberg
The Gothic Rooms // August Strindberg
War and Peace // Lev Tolstoi

Anthony Sr. & Theresa Giordano, owners of Giordano’s Italian Kitchen, famous for their award winning ziti recipe that’s been passed down generations. Theresa is considered the mom of the Spice District, Anthony Sr. sits on their stoop with a cigarette and espresso daily and talks shit to all of the neighborhood kids (he says it builds character but he really just thinks it’s funny)

THE DESCRIPTION OF SAINT MAGDALENE OF NAGASAKI Feast Day: September 28 (G. Roman Calendar), October 20 (Augustinian Calendar)
Magdalene of Nagasaki was a Japanese Christian who served as a translator and catechist for the Augustine Recollect missionaries. She became a tertiary of the Order of Augustinian Recollects.
Born in Nagasaki in the year 1611 during the Tokugawa Shogunate under Ieyasu's son, Hidetada, Magdalene was the daughter of a Christian couple martyred about 1620. With the arrival of the Augustinian Order in 1623, Magdalene served as an interpreter for the friars Francis of Jesus Terrero and Vincent of Saint Anthony Simoens. She became a tertiary of the Order of Augustinian Recollects in 1625 during the reign of Hidetada's eldest son, Iemitsu.
Magdalene taught catechism to the young, sought alms for the poor, and encouraged the people in times of persecution. In 1632, the two Augustinian friars, who had been her spiritual counselors, were burned alive. After the martyrdom of her counselors, she apprenticed herself to two other Augustinians, Melchior of Saint Augustine and Martin of Saint Nicholas. When these two friars were also put to death, she turned to Giordano Ansaloni de San Esteban, a Dominican.
She sought refuge with other Christians in the hills of Nagasaki, where she baptized the young and visited the sick in 1629.
Seeing so many apostatize, some time later, attired in her Augustinian habit, Magdalene turned herself into the authorities and declared herself a follower of Jesus Christ. She died on October 15, 1634 at the age of 23, after thirteen days of torture, suffocated to death and suspended upside down in a pit of offal on a gibbet (called 穴吊るし - ana-tsurushi). The pit was filled with water and she drowned in the end.
After death, her body was cremated and her ashes scattered in Nagasaki Bay. Magdalene of Nagasaki was beatified by Pope John Paul II on February 18, 1981, in Manila, and canonized on October 18, 1987, at the Vatican among the 16 Martyrs of Japan.
