With US support, UAE proxy militias in Yemen are planning a ground offensive to take the port city of Hodeidah from the Ansarallah-led Yemeni government and armed forces, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on 15 April, in a move that would reignite the country’s devastating civil war.
“Private American security contractors provided advice to the Yemeni factions on a potential ground operation, people involved in the planning said. The United Arab Emirates, which supports these factions, raised the plan with American officials in recent weeks,” the WSJ wrote.
The ground offensive seeks to take advantage of the recent US bombing campaign targeting the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF).

Ansarallah spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
We salute with great reverence and admiration the legendary and historic steadfastness of Gaza in the face of the fiercest and most brutal "israeli" aggression targeting the oppressed Palestinian people.
We, along with all the free people of the world, value the immense sacrifices of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, including the martyrdom of several of its prominent leaders, such as the martyr commander Ismail Haniyeh, the martyr commander Yahya Sinwar, and others. Despite these losses, the resistance remained steadfast, continuing with strength and courage to confront the enemy until it forced them to accept a ceasefire.
We also extend our salutes to the supporting fronts, foremost among them the Islamic Resistance front in Lebanon, which demonstrated exceptional valor and sacrifice, offering its most precious and valuable in defense of Gaza, Palestine, and Al-Quds, crowned by the great martyr of Islam and humanity, the revered leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah—may Allah’s blessings be upon him.
We also commend the Islamic Resistance in Iraq for its significant and active role in the support battle.
We in Yemen praise Allah for granting our dear people and armed forces the ability to shoulder this responsibility by supporting Gaza with weekly million-strong demonstrations and effective, impactful military operations from the beginning of the Flood until the announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza.
Despite the ongoing siege on our country and the suffering of our people from the wounds of years of prior aggression and the harsh economic conditions, this has not weakened our resolve. Rather, it has been a source of motivation to fulfill the responsibility of supporting Gaza—a religious and humanitarian duty that rests on the entire nation.
Yemen’s participation in the battle to support Gaza did not stem from a excess of strength or as a show of power but from a difficult reality. The "israeli" assault on Gaza left no option for our dear people, who are imbued with a spirit of faith, but to participate and support, fulfilling their responsibility toward an oppressed people facing genocide before the eyes of the entire world.
With this battle now reaching its conclusion through the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, the Palestinian cause remains and will continue to be the foremost cause, demanding that the nation rise to its responsibility. The zionist enemy entity remains a danger to everyone, and its ongoing occupation of Palestine poses a threat to the security and stability of the region. There can be no true peace for the region unless this illegitimate entity, imposed by Western and American powers and sustained at the expense of the Palestinian people and the region's nations, is removed.

🇾🇪 Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi, Head of the Revolutionary Committee in Yemen:
—
Yemen does not intentionally target civilians. We have evidence of this in our deliberate avoidance of targeting civilians throughout the years of the American, British, Saudi, and Emirati aggression on Yemen.
However, if the American narrative regarding the accidental killing of two individuals on the MV True Confidence, which refused to heed the warnings, is correct, we believe that America should compensate these victims for an (intentional) act.
We are also ready to offer compensation to them for an (unintentional) act, equivalent to what will be estimated for compensation to the civilians in Gaza by America and "israel," since what the Yemeni Armed Forces are doing is a response to the reckless American strikes and America's militarization of the sea to protect "israeli" ships.
As stated in the military spokesperson's statement, we reaffirm, as he said:
"This targeting operation came after the ship's crew ignored the Yemeni naval forces' warning messages.
Accordingly, the Yemeni Armed Forces renew their warning to all ships to respond to the calls of the Yemeni naval forces, and all crews of the targeted ships must quickly depart after the first strike."

US and British warplanes launched a new round of airstrikes on a residential neighborhood in the Shuaab district of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, late on 15 March, killing at least nine civilians and injuring several more.
"The explosions were violent and shook the neighborhood like an earthquake. They terrified our women and children," a resident of the area told Reuters.
The midnight attack marks the first western airstrikes to hit Yemen since the Gaza ceasefire deal took effect in January. It also comes days after Trump added Ansarallah back to the list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO).
Earlier this week, the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced the reinstatement of a ban on all Israeli vessels passing through designated operational areas in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and Gulf of Aden, following the expiration of the deadline set by Ansarallah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi for Israel to permit aid into Gaza.

We will never abandon Gaza" — Listen to Osama Al-Farran, a Yemeni journalist denouncing the US-UK aggression and reaffirming Yemen's support for Gaza.
After imposing an ultimatum on israel for blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza, Ansarallah reintroduced the naval blockade on Israeli ships in the Red Sea. In response, on March 15, Trump announced the beginning of attacks on Yemen in defense of American interests, freedom of navigation, and to deter enemies. In response the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted Washington’s aircraft carrier the USS Harry Truman twice in 24 hours.
The US-UK attack on Yemen is taking place through the support of Arab states, among them Qatar, which is allowing aircraft to use Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US base in the Middle East. According to the Yemeni Minister of Health, the number of victims has risen to 151 martyrs and wounded, including women and children.

the saudi-controlled "yemeni" government of the south is putting sanctions on north yemen/ansarallah/houthis due to their opposition to the genocide israel is committing and because of their maritime blockade against the settler colony and its allies.
south yemen is effectively occupied by saudi arabia and the united arab emirates, and has been for years. this "government" is comprised of traitorous scum who sold out the yemeni people for the chance to hide in their saudi mansions while 20 million yemenis live in food insecurity. ansarallah is the only government in the region that has opposed western capitalism, genocide, and american hegemony and now its people are expected to pay the price. the saudi-controlled government of aden has stated that if yemeni banks in north yemen do not move their operations to south yemen, they will be charged with counter-terrorism financing and money laundering claims. mind you, 70-80 percent of yemen's population lives in north yemen, aka the ansarallah/houthi government territories.
these sanctions and charges will kill millions of yemenis, all because saudi's dick riding america. they are accomplices in this genocide against the palestinians. glory to the palestinian resistance and glory to ansarallah. boycott the uae, boycott saudi arabia, boycott israel, its the least you can fucking do while our people pay the price of militarily opposing genocide.
and, as a reminder, saudi arabia is one of the biggest purchasers of arms from the united arab emirates, their ally in the occupation and destabilization of yemen. the same united arab emirates committing massacres in sudan, the same country which is making it so that soon 10,000 sudanese people will be dying daily, the same country profiting off of this by stealing sudanese metals, such as gold. this is the united arab emirates that is destroying socotra island (yemen) and exploiting the people for tourism. stop taking trips to fucking dubai.

At least 16 people were killed and 30 injured on 30 May following intense air raids by US and UK warplanes across several Yemeni provinces that destroyed civilian infrastructure.
According to the Yemeni Health Ministry, the death toll is expected to rise as many of those injured remain in critical condition.
Local media reports say the western jets conducted 13 air raids in total, with six of those hitting the capital Sanaa, including near the country's main airport and in several residential neighborhoods.
The attacks also hit telecommunication infrastructure in Hodeidah and Taiz provinces and the Port of Saif.
Health officials in Sanaa condemned the airstrikes, saying in a statement that "the deliberate and unlawful killings carried out by the American-British-Israeli [alliance] against civilians constitute war crimes [and] a grave violation of the rules of international humanitarian law."
Officials in Sanaa also stressed that the western aggression "confirms the great impact of the heroic operations carried out by the Yemeni armed forces against American, British, and Israeli targets" in the Red Sea and beyond.
US and UK jets launched an illegal war on Yemen in January in a failed attempt to deter the country's military operations in support of Palestine.
The latest round of attacks came after the Yemeni armed forces announced they downed a sixth US MQ9 Reaper drone worth $30 million since November. It also follows near-daily attacks on Israeli-linked vessels and western warships in nearby sea routes.

ISRAELI OCCUPATION FORCES ATTACK YEMEN'S PORT CITY OF HEDEIDAH
📹 Fires burn in the port city of Hodeidah in western Yemen after the Israeli occupation army launched a series of airstrikes on the city, resulting in a raging conflagration and a number of casualties.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched an airstrike on Saturday, targeting Yemen's western port city of Hodeidah on the Red Sea, triggering a large conflagration in an oil refinery and resulting in an unknown number of casualties.
The strikes were a response to a drone strike on Friday launched by the Yemeni Armed Forces that collided with an apartment building in Tel Aviv, killing one Israeli citizen and wounding at least 10 others.
Reporting and video from the strikes show the port of Hodeidah burning in a massive conflagration after the reported strike, which Hebrew media Channel-12 cited Al-Mayadeen News as stating the strike had been conducted by an Israeli F-35 fighter jet, while an American official confirmed the claim in an interview with the Israeli media outlet "Walla".
Yemeni media reporting on the attack confirmed the Israeli occupation's raids targeted an oil refinery in the port of Hodeidah, resulting in a large fire.
