[2024] TOP 20 PODCASTS ON AO3 FOUND IN FANDOMS > OTHER MEDIA

To make this ranking, all series titles in Other Media were copy-pasted to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and then manually filtered since not all podcasts were marked as such.

The numbers under each rank indicate how much they rose/fell in the rankings based on last year's (Nov. 24, 2023) rankings, which can be found here. NEW means it's their first time entering in the top 20. The gray numbers in parenthesis indicate how much fanworks it gained since last year.

The data for this year and last year's rankings were taken while logged in, so lcoked fanworks are included in the count.

A few web series like Critical Role and Dimensions 20 released audio-only versions of their works too, but I left them out since they were listed was a web series on ao3 and more known as one too.

All nonfiction podcasts have also been excluded (Not that there were many), because with RPFs, it’s hard to tell if the fic in question is just based on the podcast or because of the things the person has done outside of it.

Stella Firma ranks 21st in the rankings this year, dropping 5 places from last year. (Figured they deserve a special mention since The Magnus Protocol is technically under The Magnus Archives).

Still keeping A. Walker, et. al. as is for the f@tt fans.😂❤

I try not to think about the cancellation too much and just enjoy being in the fandom and enjoying the show me the books that we have

But we were ROBBED of a second season

I’m still so genuinely upset

I cannot believe that they cancelled it, everyone who worked on it and everyone in the fandom deserved a second season

SUPREMELY frustrating that we found something actually really cool and intriguing and plot relevant in tonight's session but I'm still so constantly preoccupied with whether the DM is going to 100% kill us with sheer poor game design that I barely have enough brainspace left over to even enjoy it

#the first half of the session was a random-off-a-rolltable encounter that had nothing to do with anything and gave us literally nothing #and used up all our resources and took a REALLY long time because it was-- you guessed it! another deadly encounter for some reason!!#that's 100% of the encounters we've had so far!#and EXPLICITLY not related to what we were trying to investigate AND creatures that drop neither loot NOR BODIES #(two wil o the wisps and a water wierd)#we did a lot better in this encounter but it WAS deadly going off CR #and the point is now we've done just a short rest and THEN found the Plot Thing-- which our bard used up a bunch of resources to access #SO NOW IT'S LIKE. OKAY LOOK. I WANNA PLAY IN THIS SPACE BUT YOU KEEP TRYING TO KILL US WITH THINGS THAT AREN'T EVEN IMPORTANT #ARE YOU ABOUT TO WHOOPSIE-DOODLE US INTO A TPK ON ACCIDENT HERE???#like... it FEELS dangerous and A Bad Idea to engage with in a way that paradoxically SHOULD mean it's safer in a game like this #like-- okay if this was ACTUALLY as dangerous as it feels we wouldn't BE here on session six. does that make sense?#like when justin had us encounter a lich at level two in session three and I was immediately like OH okay he must have a plan here.#clearly some Scripted Plot is going to happen because there's no other reason he would put us up against a lich three sessions in. you know?#we started dying immediately and I was not afraid at all as a player because I trust justin wouldn't do that for no reason #or be so stupid to have that happen accidentally #THIS CAMPAIGN HOWEVER.... So we resurrected Leo Dilisnya, who was living as a bag o’ bones before my PC stole him out of Wachterhaus by some miracle of god. She resurrected him in the middle of a field using her blood, and it turned out that he was just a 400 year old starved vampire who really needed a drinky and hates Strahd more than anything.

So now he’s just hanging out with us and nothing will go wrong ever again because he is DEFINITELY not evil.

So I've just not been drawing a lot recently (except for when I'm working on the comic I'm creating) but I decided I'd put this really quick doodle I did for a character I'm playing in a new campaign.

This is Nana Noa, a Druid Gnome who is part of a Travelling Bakers Guild. She uses ingredients that she finds out in the wild to make her delicious tasty treats, her favorites are any kind of fungi. She's a bit cookie but she makes the best fungi cocoa squares (��🍃brownies🍃✨) around.

i don’t even know if we caught walrusman adventurezone’s name but i absolutely adore this concept for a villain and henchperson duo. walruses eat shrimp and im imagining like. that’s literally what was happening and then they both got transformed

Unstoppable force (I wanna make a ttrpg campaign I wanna make it so bad it would be so cool) vs immovable object (any time I see a rulebook or a form of literally any kind it makes me hiss and spit and have a furious panic attack and never touch it ever again)
