ACOTAR Rant
Have y'all missed these? I have. The rambling juice machine is running again apparently.
Okay, so I just saw a post @an6elic-d3vil made about the scene in Frozen where Elsa freezes Anna's heart reminding them of Tamlin's outburst in the study in ACOMAF, and it triggered a very very long rant about this. You can find the original post here, I didn't want to hijack it with my senseless rambling.
Also, side note, I think I've gone into some detail about what I'm going on about here before. I don't think I've ever made a full explanation of my line of thinking. But just to preface, if I get a singular comment or reblog calling me an abuse apologist, a victim blamer or a misogynist, you will not be acknowledged and you will be blocked.
Anyway, onto the rant.
Honestly, this is the best example of what happened between Tamlin and Feyre. No one blames Elsa for harming Anna, despite her finally accessing full power, no one would expect her to have full control over them, she had lived in fear of them her entire life. She saw herself as a monster who could hurt or potentially kill Anna, and when eventually pushed to her absolute breaking point, she exploded. Anna wasn't at fault either, but later on, it's clear she recognized that Elsa wasn't in full control, and that what she had done was not an example of her true character but a reaction she had no control over.
It's the same situation with Feyre, minus how Anna handled the situation, Tamlin had just gotten back the full extent of his powers, whilst still under immense stress. He canonically did not want the High lord's magic, and viewed himself as a monster who could hurt or potentially kill those around him. He lived in fear of himself, and when eventually pushed to his absolute breaking point, he exploded. It was a natural reaction that he had no control over whatsoever. Feyre was not at fault for it either, but unlike Anna, Feyre actively went out of her way to attribute this outburst to Tamlin's true character, when it was obviously a reaction that he actively regretted.
Tamlin then tried to reign in his magic, despite still being under immense stress, and having to deal with power that was out of control. He tried to be better, but unlike Anna with Elsa, who tried to help Elsa, Feyre sabotaged his attempts and purposefully pushed him to the point that he would lose control of his magic, and then put herself in harms way so that she could ruin his reputation.
When you look at it how it is and not through the eyes of Feyre's biased POV, what Feyre did to Tamlin when she returned to the Spring Court, is far more sinister.
Was Feyre being harmed by Tamlin's outburst of magic the first time her fault? No, of course not.
Was Feyre being harmed by Tamlin's outburst of magic the second time, when she manipulated him into having an attack, and then went out of her way to ensure he harmed her so that she could ruin his reputation and therefore destabilize the Court, her fault? HMMMMM....
Not to mention that throughout that scene, at least from my shitty memory, Tamlin was aware that he was slowly reaching his breaking point, and telling, practically pleading with Feyre, to stop, so that he didn't hurt her by accident.
Hmm, an orchestrated pattern of behavior, in this case preying on your partner's fear and high-functioning anxiety that is driven by their intense trauma, that centers around forcing a reaction out of them so that you can maintain power and control over how other people perceive them for your own personal gain? Sounds a lot like...
On a side note, I'm also kind of done with the continued rhetoric that Feyre should have 'just gone after Tamlin' and left the rest of the Spring Court alone. Because, honest to God, explain to me why she is justified in abusing Tamlin.
"He locked her up." She was attempting to follow him onto dangerous territory, despite being untrained, in a new body, and having a history of running into dangerous situations and winding up needing to saved. Even when it came to Amarantha, Feyre DIED. She has never succeeded once in protecting herself on her own when in a highly dangerous situation, she always ended up needing someone beside her or to rescue her.
"He was controlling her." He had a few sentries ensure that she would not be in harm's way. They had Amarantha's big boss coming at them and Feyre just killed one of his biggest assets, you don't think that Tamlin wouldn't be smart enough to know that Hybern would have his eyes set on Feyre?
Should Tamlin have helped Feyre in training her new powers? Yes. Did his fear of losing Feyre again blind him to what she actually needed? Also yes. But I implore you to refer to the Elsa and Anna example above. Now, that's a little bit different, Elsa was the one locking herself away, but the principle remains. Elsa controlled Anna in not allowing her to marry Hans, hiding information that caused the entire plot of the movie, and wound up harming Anna significantly because of this. But the important thing to note is that, Elsa didn't know any better. How could she have known that Anna would be able to handle this information when it literally almost killed them as kids? Plus, no one would ever say Elsa wasn't entirely correct in telling Anna she could not marry Hans, she did know better in that regard. Why would Tamlin want to involve Feyre in more magic, when she literally died a few months ago after getting too involved with Fae? And why would Tamlin not know better than Feyre when it came to her following him on a dangerous mission, he has been in these situations before, and knows more about them.
Feyre was traumatized and needed a space that Tamlin could not give her, but Tamlin needed a space that Feyre couldn't give him either. They didn't help each other, they weren't physically able to, and neither were in a mental state in which they could successfully care for the other. And that is neither of their fault. But I again ask you, why is that a reason that Feyre should be allowed to abuse Tamlin as 'punishment'?
I have absolutely strayed from the original point I wanted to make, but I'm sort of glad I did. I've never considered Elsa and Anna as a possible example of Feyre and Tamlin's relationship and yet, it's almost a perfect reflection. Trauma will change the way people think, and when panicked people lose their rationale. Tamlin should have done things differently, and later on, when he saw how his actions led to Feyre ending up in the Night Court, he actively tried to be better.
If any of you have anything to add, please do. I think there is also something to be said about the power imbalance between Feyre and Tamlin, but I think it's also similar to that of Elsa and Anna, where Elsa is Queen and Anna is the Princess.
Also, obviously, Feyre's fucked up perception of Tamlin is driven by SJM trying to break up Feylin to make Feysand happen, so a lot of things that Tamlin does are just... very random? They happen not because, Tamlin as a character would do that, but because SJM is trying to make Tamlin a horrible person. Which she is failing to do, because all of these things happen off screen, e.i killing the sentries who were on duty when Morrigan kidnapped Feyre, giving Lucien a black eyes and a split lip, etc. We don't see the very random acts of cruelty on screen, and if we do see acts of cruelty, they tend to be for a good reason. For example, the wraiths that had nothing to give for the Tithe, and Tamlin being like "Well you give something, or you're gonna be hunted down." This happens because, one- everyone has to do it, no exceptions are ever made, and two- what each person has is calculated and their taxes are all equal to the amount they have, which is extremely fair tbh.
So, yeah, this is my very long post of why Feyre is actually a really shitty character and what she did to Tamlin and the Spring Court was not a #girlyboss move, but actually a "You abused your ex for funzies" move.

Although I think the age gap is big, it would be cute if megumi and Anna became friends!. I like to think Yata had megumi and Anna meet and saw her beautiful dresses and acessories and wanted to wear all that stuff too, so Anna has a buddy to share her taste in clothes with, and gives her a lot of her old dresses she doesn't fit into anymore. They like to take walks and talk while all dressed up, and Yata is their scary dog privilege.
Yata as scary dog privilege made me laugh XD Imagine this post-ROK and Yata’s trying to spend more time with his siblings, he didn’t come home much after moving out and he feels kinda bad for not keeping up with his siblings as much (like the one short story where he finds out Fushimi told Minoru to stop using jungle, Yata starts thinking well why wasn’t I the one to warn my own little brother). His parents are taking Minoru overnight for a school thing so they ask Yata if he can watch Megumi for the day, Yata agrees but then realizes he’s overlooked the crucial fact that he has no idea what to do with a girl. Like yes this is his sister but what do little girls even like, Yata’s not really good at dealing with girls at any age. He decides to just take her to the bar, not so much thinking that Anna and Megumi can be friends but figuring at least having another girl around might make Megumi feel more comfortable.
Imagine Anna taking something of a ‘big sister’ friend role when she meets Megumi, Megumi is all awed by this gorgeous girl her brother knows who dresses in frilly clothing and looks like a beautiful doll. Imagine Anna letting Megumi try on some of her clothes while Kusanagi makes them both pancakes, Megumi is so excited about all the cute dresses and accessories. Maybe Megumi is actually something of a girly girl but it’s been difficult for her to express that, since Yata’s obviously such an outgoing sporty person and say Minoru’s pretty scrappy too, their mom is also on the sporty side and Megumi felt like she kinda ‘had’ to be a tomboy to fit in with the family. But secretly she’s always loved frilly things and never asked for them, thinking it would be a bother for her family, and having this other girl who’s so clearly confident in her own tastes makes Megumi feel more confident too.
At some point Megumi decides she wants to dress this way too, Yata’s mom is glad that Megumi is feeling more sure of herself but also doesn’t quite know what kind of places would have what Megumi wants. Megumi is always gushing about Yata’s friend Anna though so she asks Yata if he can have Anna help his sister pick out clothes. Say this is the first time Megumi’s gone out in frills too, Anna dresses her up and says they can go shopping together. Megumi is a little worried that they’ll get harassed, even though she knows Anna is somehow ‘strong’ in a way that she doesn’t really understand. Anna smiles and says it will be okay, Misaki will come with us, and Yata who was playing on his PDA in the corner is like ‘eh?’. And that’s how Yata gets dragged on a shopping spree for cute girly things, being the best guard dog because you know he would be ready to kill anyone who looks at either his sister or his King in the wrong way.
#k project#Talking K#can you imagine if anyone harasses them#Yata will bite#Anna could handle herself of course if she wanted to#but she's letting Yata look good for his sister

On Wednesday morning, Anna woke up in some sort of warm cocoon. She didn't feel the drafty air on her face like she usually did when she slept on her mattress on the floor. She felt like she was being absorbed by some sort of soft, fancy bedding, and her pillow was moving slightly beneath her.
"Anna. We have to get ready for work."
She knew that voice intimately. It was sweet and sincere but laced with a bit of sleepiness she'd never witnessed before. She felt goosebumps on the back of her neck as she realized she must still be asleep and dreaming of Bob.
"Not yet," she mumbled. "I'm having a good dream."
Her pillow moved a little more as she tried her hardest to cling to the last threads of sleep. She didn't want to have to get up and leave this warmth behind. Especially not to go to work where Kevin could easily find her and make her life hell again.
"We have to get up."
Anna groaned and opened her eyes, and she instantly realized she wasn't in her bed, nor was she alone. She jolted, fingers grasping along what she thought was her pillow when in fact it was Bob's chest. With her hands braced on his shoulders, she tried to push herself off of him, and that's when she noticed he was smiling softly.
"What were you dreaming about?"
How was she supposed to answer that question? She was curled up on his chest, warmer and more comfortable than she ever remembered being in her life, and of course she'd been dreaming about him. It wasn't until that moment that she remembered why she was here, and then the smile that was forming on her own lips slipped away.
"We should get ready for work," she whispered, scrambling out of his bed. When she grabbed some clean clothes and headed for the bathroom, she glanced back at him with his hands propped behind his head, his eyes following her every move.
Was she insane? She should have insisted on sleeping in the other room. The problem was that she wanted Bob so badly, and even though he knew everything now, she didn't want to hurt him. She could deal with hurting herself, but not him again. But all she was going to be able to think about for the rest of the day was snuggling with him, and then she was going to have to come back here again tonight. He would probably insist on that.
She got ready as quickly as she could, changing into her work outfit while she was in the bathroom and then braiding her hair. When she opened the door, Bob was standing there in his flight suit with the sleeves tied at the waist, making her heart skip around in her chest. His unshaven face and messy hair had her practically panting, dying to reach out for him. And then his eyes trailed down to the bruises on her arm, reminding her that she would need to wear her cardigan again all day.
"I'll make breakfast," he promised. "Just give me a couple minutes to shave."
"Okay."
She took some time to separate out her dirty laundry, knowing she would need to take care of that later, and then she went downstairs. She started poking around in the refrigerator, trying to see if there was something she could start making so he didn't have to do it. Then Bob was there again, right behind her. When she looked at him, his soft hair was perfect, and his face was smooth.
"Do you like scrambled eggs?" he asked, looking past her into the refrigerator.
"I like everything," she told him, wishing she could just kiss him like she wanted to.
"I can make them fancy with some cheese," he said with a cute little grin. "Maybe tomorrow if we get up earlier, I can do omelettes."
Anna wasn't going to make it. How was she supposed to just be here with Bob and not touch him? He knew about Kevin, and he was still being so lovely, she wanted to scream. "That sounds great," she whispered. "But you have to let me do the dishes later."
He agreed, and soon Anna was eating a hot breakfast, something she hadn't had in a very long time. And that wasn't all, because after she took the dishes to the sink, Bob insisted on packing her a lunch. In his own khaki green lunchbox that said TOP GUN BOB on it and had a velcro enclosure at the top. When he went to hand it to her, she threw her arms around his neck.
"Thank you," she breathed, inhaling his scent and remembering how warm he kept her all night.
He chuckled and said, "It's nothing special. Jess should be here soon to pick you up. Will you... text me if Kevin shows up?"
Anna wanted to ask him what he would do about it if Kevin did in fact show up, but she simply promised him that she would let him know. Then Jess pulled up, and Bob handed her his spare house key which was on a twenty sided die keychain. She smiled down at her palm before looking up at him. "Have a good day, Bob."
"I'll pick you up later if Jess doesn't bring you back here first."
She nodded, took one last look at him in his flight suit, and then ran out to Jessica's car at the curb with her work bag and lunch. "Good morning," Anna sang in a cheery voice, making her friend laugh.
"Girl. Do I even want to know why you're staying with Bob?"
Anna sighed as she looked out the window at the neighboring houses as Jessica started to drive. "Kevin's in town, and he bruised my arm, and he tracked me down at work, and then he also knows where I live. But Bob pushed him against the wall, and I thought he was going to punch him, and then he insisted I come stay with him where it's more secure, and now I'm going to figure out how to get my manuscript."
Jessica swerved slightly. "What?!"
Anna laughed softly. "It's all good." And she honestly believed it was. For now.
--------------------------
"Tally! Coyote at five o'clock low!"
Nat responded seamlessly to Bob's commands, immediately dipping down below the horizon to get Javy on missile lock. Bob loved these kinds of drills, because he was always the fastest WSO to catch on to the training schemes. And Nat always followed his instructions, making her the fastest pilot to respond.
Honestly, he felt like he was on cloud nine right now. Waking up to Anna's body draped across his and her cheek resting over his heart was almost too good to be true. He didn't move for twenty minutes while she continued to doze, rather he used the time to count her freckles in the soft, early morning light. He could have gladly stayed there all day, and he thought she would have as well. However, she did seem a little startled when she woke up fully, but when he handed her the lunch he packed, she was back in his arms one last time.
It didn't really matter though. He wouldn't touch her without permission. As Nat soared past Javy, Bob made a face. Clearly he wasn't opposed to accepting Anna's touches though. He just wished this whole scenario made more sense to him. Clearly Anna and Kevin were over. She told him as much before, but now Bob had seen it with his own eyes. He was absolutely disgusted by the way Kevin yelled at her, but it just made him want her more. And the fact that Anna wanted to keep fighting made him feel like he needed her.
"Bob! High or low?" Nat shouted, and he had to scramble to locate Javy again.
"High! Eight o'clock high, Phoenix!"
With one swift maneuver, she took him out, and when they landed, she wrapped him up in a hug. "You're unbeatable today. Nobody else stood a chance." She narrowed her eyes and added, "You have a look about you. Oh my god! You got laid again! Don't tell me it was Anna."
She looked both delighted and terrified, and Bob just rolled his eyes. "Can't I look happy without getting laid?"
"Hmm, I know I can't," she said with a smirk. "Go ahead and keep your secrets," she murmured before running off to harass Bradley.
As Bob started walking back to the lounge, he dug his phone out of his helmet bag and almost tripped when he saw that Anna sent him a selfie of her eating lunch an hour ago. She was all smiles with the sandwich he made in her hand, and his heart thudded in his chest as he read the text accompanying it.
Anna Webber: Thanks for making me the perfect lunch. And you know that particularly good dream I had last night? It was about you.
"Fuck," he whispered, feeling even more exhilarated by his text thread than he did from being in the air. He dropped his bag at his feet on the tarmac and quickly typed back to her.
I can try to make you another perfect lunch tomorrow. And if you decide you want to share my bed again and have another particularly good dream tonight, you should tell me about it as soon as you wake up. Before you get out of bed.
He hit send. He had nothing to lose. Kevin could eat shit for all he cared. He would have pounded him into the wall if Anna didn't stop him. Not that he wanted to resort to violence himself. He just couldn't stand it when Anna was in tears getting screamed at.
"You coming, man?" Mickey asked, waving his hand in front of Bob's face. "I have something so cool I want to show you for our campaign. Jess will probably hate it, but I think it's great."
Bob followed him to the lounge, but he kept his phone in his hand just in case Anna wrote back, and when she did, he stood up and completely ignored Mickey's rambling.
Jess said she can drive me back to your house since we're both done at 4:30 today. And if you're going to keep insisting I sleep in your bed, then I'm going to keep insisting we share it. Besides, I always feel better when you're around.
"Man, what is with you?," Mickey asked as Bob wandered all the way to the other end of the lounge, running his fingers through his hair. "Almost nothing can distract you from D&D."
"It's Anna," he said quietly, his heart doing cartwheels in his chest.
"Yep, that'll do it then," Mickey muttered. "As soon as she gets divorced, you better propose."
Bob knew his friend was teasing him, but the thought alone left him staring out the window, imagining all of her books in his house and sharing a bed forever.
-----------------------------
Anna felt so good, it was incredible. She had a delicious sandwich for lunch, complete with ham, swiss cheese and some sort of fancy multi-grain bread with spicy mustard. And that wasn't even it, because Bob also made her a little container of fruit salad. He packed peanuts and ginger ale too. She wasn't starving for dinner at 5:00 like she usually was, but the closer Jessica got to Bob's house, the more excited Anna got.
"Do you know what time he usually gets home? Does Jake get home at the same time every day?"
"Hmm, well the weather's good, so I'm sure they didn't get out early," Jessica replied. "Bob usually stops in the locker room to shower and change out of his flight suit on days when they are in the air, so I would guess he would be home just before six?"
"Okay," Anna said, trying to calm her excitement. While her students took their quiz earlier, she had some time to ponder and also daydream. According to the conference for the National Neurological Physicians Association, Kevin would probably be in town through Tuesday. She knew well enough now to know that whatever she planned on doing next, she would have to share it with Bob. The very subject of her daydreams. The cozy man she snuggled up with all night. She wanted to cook him dinner, but she needed to get to his house early enough to surprise him.
When Jessica stopped to drop her off, Anna hugged her quickly before picking up her bag and heading up the walkway with the spare key in her hand. "Make good choices when it comes to Bob!" Jessica shouted as she rolled down the window. "And when it comes to Kevin, too! You know what? Just make good choices in general!"
Anna waved as she unlocked the front door and ducked inside, locking it behind her immediately just as Bob had instructed. She had less than an hour to get something started for dinner, so she tossed her bag aside and ran for the refrigerator. He had everything. More groceries than she'd seen in months. Fresh vegetables and fruit and different kinds of cheese. Everything.
She found a pack of ground beef, a jar of tomato sauce and some spaghetti. It wasn't going to be the fanciest thing in the world, but she had time to make it. While the water boiled, she ran upstairs to get her laundry and brought it down. The small laundry room was near the kitchen, so she was able to start browning the meat and check on it while she loaded the washing machine.
Anna was running back and forth when she saw Bob's truck pull up through the front window. "Shit," she groaned. He was a little earlier than she thought he would be. She stuffed the rest of her clothes inside and then turned to lean back against the washing machine while Bob walked inside.
"Anna?" he called out, and her heart skipped a beat. What if this kind of thing could be normal for her? She could save up enough money to buy her own car again, and she could come back to Bob's house after work and wait for him to get home. They could eat dinner together.
"I'm doing laundry!" she called out, and a few seconds later, he was in front of her, leaning into the room while he held both sides of the doorframe. He was wearing snug, black gym shorts, sneakers and a white undershirt, and he smelled clean like soap. His biceps flexed as he held on and smiled at her.
"Are you cooking dinner?" he asked, cheeks a little pink as he let go of the doorway and stepped inside. When she nodded, he said, "You didn't have to do that."
Before she could stop herself, her hand found the front of his shirt, and his eyes went wide. "I wanted to," she whispered, bunching the cotton fabric against her palm and tugging slightly. Bob closed the distance between them, bracing his hands on the washing machine on either side of her. He was big and warm, and she knew she needed to be the one to make the next move to get his body touching hers.
Anna let her hand trail up his abs to his chest and around the back of his neck, his cheeks deepening in color with each inch, but he didn't move away. Then she pushed up onto her toes and kissed him, her lips barely brushing his. The front of his body met hers, pressing her butt back against the washing machine. He felt strong and solid, and the slippery fabric of his shorts met her other hand as both of his went to her hips. This is what she wanted, and she would make herself better and better until Bob deemed her good enough for him. If that's what it took, she would figure out a way to do it.
When she pulled away slightly after a few seconds, Bob's lips followed hers until she was treated to a kiss that was a little needier. A little bit rough around the edges. She gasped his name as she inhaled the smell of his clean skin, and then she said, "Oh, shit. Dinner."
As soon as she ducked out of his grasp, Bob let her run from the room toward the kitchen. She grabbed the spatula and checked to make sure the ground beef hadn't burned, and he was right behind her.
"I'm trying to make you spaghetti," she told him, reaching for the jar of sauce which she struggled to open. "But I guess I could use your help." She wanted his lips back on hers, but she didn't want to rush anything, so she simply handed the jar over to him when he held out his hand. With one quick twist of his wrist, the lid popped. "Show off," she muttered, earning a laugh as she dumped the sauce into a pan. "There should be enough for Suzanne, too. If you want to invite her over."
Bob just looked at her with a smile. "That's sweet. I'll take a plate over to her. I think I'd rather it just be the two of us here tonight."
"Okay," she told him. Being alone with Bob right now was definitely something she could get used to.
---------------------------------
It had been so long since anyone else cooked for Bob, so this was a welcome surprise. Anna was just moving her clothing to the dryer when the timer went off for the pasta. "I'll take care of it," he said, just as she hung up a particularly intriguing looking black bra in his laundry room to let it dry. It was made out of sheer lace, and he immediately wondered if he'd be able to see her freckles through the fabric.
One kiss. It was just one kiss, and he was already dizzy over her again. But it was more than just the kiss. It was also her hand pulling him closer and the way she whispered his name. Bob dragged himself from his thoughts and plated the food she had cooked. He set everything on the table along with ginger ales, and when he went to get her from the laundry room, he saw that the bra had some matching panties with it now.
"Food's ready," he said, voice coming out even deeper than usual.
Anna followed him to the table and took the seat across from him. "You know, I'm sure it's fine if you want me out of your space. I highly doubt Kevin is going to come looking for me again, especially after you scared him off yesterday."
Bob gripped his fork a little tighter. "I can't make you stay here. But I want you to. I want to know you're safe."
Her brown eyes were soft as she picked up her own fork. "Okay," she said softly.
"Okay," he replied, already feeling better again.
Dinner was pretty quiet, just a simple exchange of what happened to both of them that day at work. When he asked if she'd heard from Kevin at all, she assured him she had not. Then he asked if she knew how long she thought he would be in California.
"Yeah," she told him as she collected the dirty dishes from the table. She unlocked her phone and set it down in front of him. "He's giving a closing speech on Tuesday morning, so he's probably heading back to New Jersey later that day." Bob looked at the tab she had opened and saw Kevin's name listed under a few events for each day, including a three hour dinner reception on Sunday evening. He was a busy man. It seemed like he'd done well for himself with all of Anna's money, and Bob just fucking hated him.
He set her phone aside. "I'll feel better when there's some more distance between you and him."
A cute little smile found her lips as she took the dishes away. Bob let her clean up, but he couldn't stop walking past the laundry room and looking inside. Even after she sat down to correct quizzes while he took some food over to Suzanne, the lacy set was still hanging in there. Even after Anna folded her laundry and started organizing it in neat piles on top of Bob's bedroom dresser, he knew those two pieces weren't with the rest.
He would have kept thinking about it, but then Anna yawned and turned to look at him. "I'm going to take a shower, and then I'm either sleeping in here with you again, or I'm sleeping in the other bedroom."
Bob studied her pretty face and her messy braid. "Should I get in bed and wait for you?" She nodded and bit her lip before scampering out of his room toward the bathroom. Then he had to change for bed while she showered, and he started getting hard as soon as he touched the elastic band of his boxer briefs. Anna and all of her things were all over his house, and she'd only been here for a little more than a day.
When he looked down at his flat abs and saw his cock bobbing to attention, he didn't think he was going to have time to jerk off. "No, no, no," he whispered. He tossed his gym shorts into his hamper and tried to walk it off, but it was no use. He felt like a teenager as he dove into bed as soon as he heard her turn the shower off. With his eyes squeezed closed, he lay there on his back under the covers, trying to think about something unsexy. Doing push ups, going to the dentist, buying bulk cat food at Costco for Suzanne.
He was working up a mental image of Mickey throwing up in the Hard Deck parking lot when Anna breezed back into his bedroom with damp hair and a white tank top that left nothing to the imagination. Not that he couldn't vividly recall her naked body beneath his. And the sounds she made when he fucked her. Bob tossed his glasses onto his nightstand with a groan, hoping that if he couldn't see how cute she looked in those ugly flannel pants, maybe he would get soft again.
But that didn't happen, and a few seconds later, Anna was slipping into bed with him just like last night. And then she linked her fingers with his again. When he turned off the lamp, she curled up next to him, and his fingers brushed against her bare skin. Her knee nudged along the top of his thigh; a few more inches and she was going to be able to feel him.
"Good night," she whispered into the darkness, and he could tell her face was near his.
When he turned his head toward her and whispered, "Good night," she surprised him with a kiss. One that lingered. Her body was halfway on top of his, fingers combing lazily through his hair, and there was no way she couldn't feel how his cock was pressing shamelessly against her leg. When she didn't stop kissing him, he brought his hand up to rest on her back. She treated him to kiss after kiss, but she didn't take it any further. That was okay with him; this was more than enough.
Her lips brushed his one last time before she settled in with her cheek resting on his chest, and soon she was asleep while Bob held her, wondering if there was some way he could help her get her manuscript so she could finally leave Kevin behind.
----------------------------
As the week wore on, Anna spent her free moments thinking about Bob and also trying to figure out if there was a way to defeat Kevin. She wanted access to her writing, because she wanted to move on with her life. However, she was starting to come around to the idea of just letting Kevin have it so she could have Bob. She was still bleeding money to her lawyers, and even though she was staying at Bob's place, she still had to pay the astronomically high rent to her landlord, too.
If she had to still be married to Kevin, then there had to be some sort of benefit to it. On Friday at lunchtime, she was thinking about it while she sat between her friends and ate the beautiful sandwich that Bob packed for her. She could tell both of them wanted more information than she'd been sharing about her week at Bob's house. Jessica was practically vibrating every day on the drive to campus, but Anna knew she didn't want to pry.
But it was her other friend who said, "That's another nice looking sandwich you have today. It looks like Bob has been spoiling you."
"He sure has," Anna said with a dreamy sigh.
"Does that mean you're sleeping together?!" Jessica asked, her voice getting an octave higher at the end of the sentence.
Anna hummed and licked some mustard from her lip. "Define sleeping together."
"Fucking!" Jessica hissed. "Are you fucking?"
"No. But we are sleeping together," she replied with a smile.
"What does that mean?!"
"I think it means they are literally sleeping together," Advanced Calculus said as she dipped a carrot stick into the spicy hummus Bradley made. "Beer Boy said Bob looks like he won the lottery every morning, so I would assume that's why. And I would also assume that they are making out. Maybe a little under the clothing action going on?"
Anna was blushing furiously as her friend casually bit into the carrot stick, and Jessica nearly fell off the bench. "That's um.... well maybe just a tiny bit of the under the clothing part, but the rest is pretty accurate."
"Okay," Jessica said while slapping her own thigh. "You could have told me this when I drove you in every day this week! And I hope you know Bob loves you."
Anna smiled. She felt more confident than she had in years. She finally felt like she could let go of the one thing she thought she needed, because she found other things and other people that made a difference in her life. "That's convenient, because I'm in love with him, too. And I think... once I know Kevin is back in New Jersey and won't try to corner me again... I think I'm going to just finalize the divorce as is."
"Your manuscript!" both women gasped in unison.
Anna nodded. "I know, but I think I need to let go of it and just move on."
Neither of her friends mentioned it again after that, for which she was grateful. After she gave her afternoon lectures and started to pack up for the weekend, she got a text from Bob.
Bob Floyd: I'm on my way to pick you up. Pizza for dinner?
She wrote back and told him that was fine as long as he let her pay for it, and thirty minutes later, there was a soft knock on her office door. "It's Bob," he told her, and she threw the door open and pulled him inside by his khaki collar.
He didn't hesitate or try to stop her as she kissed him with both hands in his hair before she whispered, "Hi, Bob."
He was all smiles after that, and his hand was at her lower back as she locked the door behind them and headed toward the elevator. He pulled her a little closer as she told him about her day and thanked him for making her lunch.
"So I'll pay for the pizza. Did you order it already?"
"Yep," he replied as they held hands in the elevator. "It'll be ready in ten minutes."
But when they got there, she realized Bob had already put it on his credit card. "You're impossible," she told him as she shoved five bucks into the tip jar.
"I'm not going to apologize for buying us a pizza," he said casually, and it turned out to be one of the best pizzas Anna had ever had in her life.
They sat side by side on the couch with paper plates and napkins while they watched Pride & Prejudice. "New Jersey is supposed to have good pizza," she whispered in awe.
Bob just shrugged and said, "I think southern California might be superior."
"In every way," Anna whispered before she finished her crust. She loved it here. She loved her friends and her job. She loved Bob. She knew what she had to do now, and she knew it would be okay. "You know what else southern California has?"
"Enlighten me," he said as he wiped his hands with his napkin.
"A surplus of men in uniforms," she said, running her finger down his sleeve and along his name tag. "I didn't know how much I'd like these things." Bob was blushing as she kissed his cheek. "But I liked you way before I knew you were in the Navy."
She was thinking of him as Sky Writing as he turned and kissed her, and once again, they ended the evening in his bed. And this time, there was a lot more touching under their clothing.
-------------------------------
Bob looked at Anna as she moaned in delight while she ate the soup he made for dinner on Saturday. It was pouring rain, and he didn't feel like going out to play Dungeons & Dragons. He wanted to stay inside where it was warm. Where Anna would end up in his arms after they cleaned up the kitchen.
"What time do you have to leave?" she asked him, and he thought he saw a little flash of sadness on her face.
"In about a half an hour." He took the chance and added, "I don't have to go. I could stay here."
"No! Mickey and Jess will be devastated! She told me so much about her Barbarian on the drive to work yesterday, she'll never get over it if you skip tonight. Besides, I have something I can do to keep myself busy."
"Alright," Bob agreed. "But I probably won't be home before eleven, so you don't have to wait up."
He helped wash the dishes and went to search for the umbrella he hardly ever had to take out with him. He packed up his dice and character sheet and put his shoes on. When he found Anna again, she was curled up on the couch with one of his books.
"You love poetry," he told her as he ran his thumb along the back of her hand.
"I love some poetry," she whispered. "I love your poetry."
He wanted her to say she loved him. He thought she did. Everything was moving along now, but Kevin was still in California, and Bob wasn't sure exactly how to go about all of the details with Anna. So he simply said, "I'll be back in a little bit. Keep all the doors locked? Call me if you need me?"
"I will."
He took one last look at her freckles and her big, brown eyes, and then he ventured out into the wet night. He offered to pick Jessica up since she'd been driving Anna around all week, but she said she'd drive herself there. He was surprised she didn't want to pump him for all of the information related to him and Anna, but perhaps Anna had already told her? The idea of that made him a little warm. He wondered what she might have said. Obviously they had already had sex last month, but this time it felt exactly right when they touched and kissed each other.
God, Bob really hated Kevin. The bruises on Anna's arm were finally fading to yellow. And she didn't seem as worried now. It was obvious that she was comfortable in his house, and he wanted her there. He didn't know how he was going to make it through several hours of this campaign tonight when she was all snuggled up on his couch.
When he arrived and got ready to play, he thought maybe she had moved to his bed by now. He could picture her in those ugly pants, her nipples peaked against her cotton tank top. Her red hair impossibly dark.
"I said you need to roll for initiative."
Bob looked up and quickly picked up his twenty sided die. He was distracted and rolling like shit tonight, and he kept relying on everyone else to bail him out of each round of fighting. He could barely even pay attention to the story, and that was usually his favorite part. Jessica had to keep poking him in the side when he was supposed to take his turn.
"Are you okay?" she whispered.
He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. "I'm thinking about Anna. I can't stop thinking about her," he muttered. "She's... probably already in bed, and being there with her as we fall asleep together is kind of my new favorite thing."
Jessica cleared her throat and loudly announced. "My stomach hurts. So bad. Can we stop a little early tonight?"
She was literally the worst liar in existence. She was even worse than Bob. He was trying not to laugh as everyone nodded sympathetically at her as they started to pack up. "Thanks," he murmured, and she just winked at him as she adjusted her glasses.
"No problem. Go home and snuggle."
He drove carefully back home in the rain until he was passing through the deserted streets of his neighborhood. He parked right in front of Suzanne's car like he always did, and he killed the engine. Maybe he should just tell Anna how he felt, although he was sure she already knew. He didn't exactly need to hear the words back, but he wanted them to be out there. He didn't even need a title on whatever their relationship was, but he didn't want it to be nothing either.
Quickly, he dashed through the rain, shooed Sylvester inside his neighbor's front door before closing it, and then he unlocked his own door. The living room was dark unlike earlier, and at first he didn't hear anything.
"Anna?" he called out softly as the hairs at the back of his neck stood on end. He froze when he realized he heard a voice coming from upstairs. Halfway up the steps, he realized it was her, and she sounded distraught. "Anna," he gasped, taking the steps two at a time until he was standing on the top landing.
She was definitely in his bedroom, and he almost tripped as he lunged for the door, pushing it open just in time to hear her moan his name.
Bob's jaw dropped open at the sight before him. Anna was spread out on the middle of his bed, red hair all over the place, and she was wearing nothing but that black bra and panty set he hadn't been able to stop thinking about. Her eyes were squeezed shut tight, hand tucked in the front of her underwear as she stroked her clit and turned her face until it was buried in his pillow. He watched her inhale deeply as his hand rested on his hard cock which was pressing against the fly of his jeans.
"Fuck," she grunted after thrashing around a little bit in his bed. She still hadn't seen him yet, but his gaze was fixed firmly on her body. "Fuck me, Bob," she moaned, and he stumbled forward. "Oh, god. I want you!"
Her back arched slightly off the bed as he took another step closer, unzipping his pants. He no longer had to wonder if he'd be able to see her freckles through the sheer fabric. He definitely could, which made the little black set even sexier, but he also wanted her naked. He wanted to be inside her. He watched as she came on her own fingers.
"Anna," he groaned as his hand met his length, and her eyes snapped open as she yanked her hand back out of her panties.
"Oh my god!" she practically shrieked, face flushing pink. "Bob! You're back early!"
He nodded and watched her wide eyes as she realized he was stroking himself. "I wanted to come back home as soon as I left. I wanted to be with you. And now I want to fuck you."
"Oh," she sighed, getting up so she was kneeling in the middle of his bed, licking her lips like his most depraved fantasy. Her hair was a mess, and her nipples were hard peaks as she nodded and came crawling toward him. Her breath ghosted along the tip of his cock as it hung out of his jeans. She looked up at his face, licked at his precum and said, "That's exactly what I want you to do."

there’s tends to be a trio in the show right? examples include: pony, dally, and johnny / trip, chet, and bob (and paul but he’s a hag and doesn’t count rn) / marcia, cherry, and bev / pony, darry, and soda ofc
i’m thinking that anna!bev, paul and darry were a trio when they were all school. like paul and darry are in the same grade but bev’s maybe a grade below. paul and darry were always attached but they met bev when bob first started dating cherry and in those beginning stages she was always around her girls.
darry’s still kind of finding his footing with all these socs but he’s gotten pretty good at hiding his feelings like the rest of them. but when he first meets bev the soc he can’t help but feel protective. because way back when he a kid, before ponyboy was even a thought, he could remember his mom babysitting a tiny little girl with brown hair. he wasn’t sure at first but when she introduces herself as beverly bush there’s a look in her eyes. a look that reminds darry of himself when he first started hanging out with the socs, a look that begged darry not to say anything about how she use to being a greaser. darry’s simply shakes her hand and says how nice it is too meet her and he wants to say more, wants to pull her aside and ask tons of questions, but the way her previously put upon smile lights up darry decides it doesn’t really matter. not right now
they mean sm to me your honor
i got distracted but! thinking about paul who’s been tasked by his parents to watch out for the younger socs one night bc there’s some big party or something (idk bare with me) so he’s driving around the west side neighborhoods and darry came along for the shits and giggles. and while driving through one street they see bev smoking outside a houseparty. the first thing they notice is she looks pissed and as the elder brothers they are they can’t help but immediately swarm her asking what’s the matter and what they can do to help (nvm that they’ve only known her for like a week. cherry likes her and bob likes cherry so by default they like bev too).
anyways they’re so busy trying to be knights in shining armor they don’t realize bev alrdy had it whatever was bothering her handled until some drunk rando from their jv basketball comes out and she decks the absolute shit out of them. and i think this is when paul decides he likes beverly and wants to keep her (what can i say this is a man who likes projects) and darry remembers that oh yeah, she does come from a grease background, of course she can take care of herself.
and i think they invite her to hang out with them all the time. darry and bev are closer ofc; once bev realizes that he really isn’t about to go snitching she lets loose and he becomes her personal diary. it’s the same thing for darry too. for him it’s relieving to see that his hopes of lifting himself out of “greaser status” isn’t just a stupid dream, even if bev did get out a little different than he would.
i think if i squint hard enough i could even compare their relationship to claudia and louis from interview with the vampire with paul as lestat.

seal my heart and break my pride
Fandom: The Legend of Vox Machina Characters: Percy De Rolo, Cassandra De Rolo, Keeper Yennen (Mention), Anna Ripley (Mention), Shaun Gilmore (Mention), Raishan (Mention) Word Count: 697 Note: SPOILERS FOR TLOVM S3E6 [Also found on AO3.]
The dawn, Percival decides, is both a blessing and a curse.
It’s a blessing because it signals the beginning of a new day. Another day to live, another day to fight. The Sun Tree, however charred, still stands. Whitestone still stands even if she and her people are limping in order to do so.
But it all still feels like a curse because the weak sunlight lays bare all of his mistakes and regrets. He swore to honor his family’s memory by taking up the responsibility that he was never actually meant to inherit, and he’s failed so spectacularly at it. He hates that he wasn’t here, because he should have been. His people are decimated and his city is in ruins and there’s still so much smoke lingering in the air.
(Why must he always choke on smoke, suffocate under its weight?)
He turns away from the main square, away from the piles of dead being gathered, and looks for his sister. When he does find Cassandra, his stomach twists even further as he watches her direct scattered members of the Pale Guard, never mind how much pain she must be in, how many bandages she’s wrapped in. She’s doing so much— has done so much—for Whitestone while he’s been away.
(He wasn’t here. Not when it mattered.)
He tries to swallow down the guilt and approaches her just as she falls back onto the nearest piece of debris that seems sturdy enough to bear her weight and isn’t actively smoldering.
“Cass—” he begins, voice cracking in a way he so desperately hoped it wouldn’t, but she fixes him with a startlingly sharp look.
“I know that tone and I don’t need pity right now, brother.”
“It’s not… I wasn’t…” he flounders, certainly not expecting that to have been her response. “No, I wanted to apologize.”
“Why?”
He blinks, taken even more aback by that, because there’s an entire list he can pick from.
(And he’s so tired of lists.)
“I should have been here,” he settles on, because that is what currently sits at the forefront of his mind.
Cassandra falls silent as she studies him, her expression unreadable as she does so, before she eventually sighs and shakes her head. “You got here when you could. I think the consequences would have been far more dire if you arrived any later than you did.”
Percy frowns—she should be more upset with him, should hate him when this isn’t even the first time he’s abandoned her when she needed him most—but sighs and nods in acknowledgement. Rather than continue arguing, he asks, “Is there anything you need help with at the moment?”
“Keeper Yennen and I have it handled, I think.”
“Of course,” he replies. He pauses and hesitantly adds, “You’re doing a good job, Cassandra. I hope you know that.”
“I’m certainly trying,” she says wryly.
“I suppose that’s all any of us can do at the moment.”
Cassandra nods her agreement and lets out a small sigh, turning her head a little to look up at the castle in the distance. “...I’m tired of losing our home,” she admits in a small voice.
Percy follows her gaze, feels the guilt rise up acidic in his throat, twist like a knife in his gut, as he watches plumes of smoke curl up the towers. “As am I.”
He let Ripley go. He should have been here, protected Cassandra, protected the people of Whitestone. He saw his city rebuild and even begin to flourish again and he was so sure everything would be all right. He thought Gilmore’s wards would be enough. He led Raishan to Whitestone. He let Ripley go again —
“Percival?”
He blinks and looks at Cassandra, notices the way her brow is furrowed with concern.
“It’s been a long night,” he says weakly and leaves it at that so he doesn’t have to try to articulate his spiraling thoughts.
She lets out a single, sharp laugh. “It truly has.” She sighs and pushes herself to her feet, wobbling a little when she’s upright, but managing to maintain her composure. “And I’m afraid it will be an even longer day.”

So in an AU where Sasha doesn’t hold back and defeats Anne in their duel on Newtopia and the Toad rebellion Succeeds, how would this Change Season 3 as a whole.
(Also with the elements of Sashanne of course cause gotta have that toxic yuri lol.)
It changes EVERYTHING. The whole story changes!
Marcy doesn't die and doesn't get possesed. Anne doesn't go back to Earth. The Core is still plotting in the shadows. Andrias is imprisoned. The only thing that remains mostly the same is the intense military activity in Amphibia, but it takes an entirely different form because it's so much more political: all Toad Towers, and most toads with any sense of affiliation to those institutions, support the coup. A lot of tension between castes arise - Newts in position of power persecute all toads regardless of political stance, many toads in institucional positions abuse their power against frogs, or see their legitimacy in front of the local community crumble as frogs refuse to listen to a toad without any legitimate institutional backing from Newtopia. Local frog militias are formed, the number of terrorist toad groups rises, and all remnants of the old royal State and military - consisting mostly of newts - scramble together to preserve what's left of the Newtopian State in exile. They chose a regent until Andrias is released - possibly Olivia, due to her position in court, or Yunan, due to her military experience. In any case, Marcy is immediately named second in command, and is often sent on solo missions to undermine the rebellion.
Back to Anne, she's not great at leading large groups of people, but she can keep a community together. If the newtopian resistance has its seat in Wartwood, she'd be really helpful solving small disputes keeping people safe, but she really starts to shine when the regent starts sending her on diplomatic missions to reunite different resistance groups under the Newtopian banner, so most of the season would consist of her traveling through Amphibia with various companions (sometimes she's joined by Yunan, sometimes by Marcy, sometimes by unexpected side characters from Wartwood, but always with Sprig) and really seeing the scope of the situation - let's just say she learns a lot about politics. She ends up playing a crucial role in the organization of the resistance.
Internally, she's going through a lot. She took Sasha's betrayal horribly, and with Marcy's whole avoidance of conflict thing, she feels very alone. Sprig is there for her, though. They can handle anything together.
Meanwhile, Sasha is growing sick of her search parties coming up blank, so she leaves to find Anne herself - she knew her better than anyone else. If anyone could find her, it's her. She grows obsessed with the idea of finding Anne, and meets a lot of people, finds herself in lots of situations in her travels that really make her rethink some things. She feels very conflicted - she feels safe being fully in control and having so much power in the new toad regime, and she's so sure she could protect Anne and Marcy better than ever if they join her, but the look of betrayal in Anne's face... it makes something in her heart twist and ache. She never wanted Anne to look at her that way. She never wanted to lose her.
She may have an encounter with Marcy at some point, which would be a great opportunity to explore their relationship, because Marcy still thinks their friendship can be saved if Sasha and Anna make up, but she was also given orders by her superior to capture any toad leader she finds, and, well, Sasha counts as one. Sasha, meanwhile, is desperately trying to convince Marcy to come with her, to leade her to Anne, to join her so she can protect them both. Quite a bit of threatening and manipulation ensue when Marcy doesn't immediatelly obey. It's a situation that really forces Marcy to take a stand, to choose for herself, and she ultimately stands up to Sasha by choosing Newtopia and her duty over pleasing her. That's not the end of Marcy's arc - she still needs to learn to priorize her emotional wellbeing and mental health above pleasing other people - but it's a good first start - to realize she has a limit and can't bend over backwards for her friends forever. Sasha just feels angry at first, but as she sees tears in Marcy's eyes, she just feels ashamed. She'd never seen Marcy cry because of her before, certainly never saw her go against her word. Did she do this?
Anyway, what she does manage to wrench from Marcy is that Anne is traveling all over the continent, possibly on bird back, so Sasha does the single most metal thing she could have done and tames not one but TWO herons (for the symbolism) and begins her cat and mouse chase a la Zuko and Aang on bird back, with epic sky battles and everything. Idk if you watched HOTD but if you have... the whole chase scene between Aemond and Lucerys? The sheer difference in size between Vaghar and Arrax? It looks a lot like that!
For those who haven't seen it (spoilers ofc)
youtube
So you have like... this scary toxic ex chasing her girl all over the continent, knowing her girl may just actually try to kill her if she finds her.
Then more stuff happens - with Andrias the the Core's plot, Marcy's participation is most likely revealed, plus Andrias' evil plan, Anne realizes they're all fucked - trapped between two equally bad factions of a civil war with no way out, unable to trusts her friends, with her toxic ex on her heels and the resistance doubting her allegiance based on her strange relationship with Sasha... yeah, it's not easy.
She may be the one to come to Sasha in the end, willing to hear her out. She can't confide in anyone in the resistance save for the Plantars, lest they label her a traitor, and she can't even think about approaching any of the Tower Captains. She doesn't trust Marcy anymore - even though Marcy, at this point, is working herself to death to fix her mistake - and while she doesn't trust Sasha either, at this point, she seems like her only shot at fixing things.

"excuse me my friend over here thinks you look good..." With nina or anna.
(omg I wanted to go ham with anna on this one, but it's time for miss nina to shine.)
(tw: yandere undertones, she/her pronouns for reader)
The guy standing in front of you and Nina looks as generic as every other university boy tonight. Face flushed, fidgeting with his clothing or hair, soft chuckles escaping in an effort to hide his nerves.
Nervous. That's what they are, that's what they all are, and who wouldn't be when approaching the two of you? You're not sure who he means by "looking good," but you doubt it's you anyway.
Not that you mind, of course. Your friend is a beautiful girl after all.
She remains courteous when receiving attention. But you notice not only the ease at which she dismisses most men, but the speed at which she quickly shoots them down as well. Barely making it to their third sentence before she gives that sweet smile of hers and softly puts a stop to their spiel. She's flattered, but she's not looking for anything right now.
A part of you can't help but feel kinda… bad? For all the guys that approach her. They shoot their shot, but it never quite makes it.
Nina makes sure they don't make it.
But you feel more bad for Nina though. You always step in, hoping to soften the rejection for them and handle it for her as well, as you can sense when she starts getting tired of these things.
"Ah... she's not interested." You give him a soft smile, your eyes silently conveying 'sorry' to him.
Nina shoots a polite smile at the guy, then looks at you, giving a small nod, an affectionate look painting her features. Her eyes silently speak to you as well: 'thank you.'
He awkwardly puts a hand in front of him, slightly desperate to clear the air.
"Ah! N-no, my apologies. I didn't mean her... we meant you, actually."
"...Me?" You quirk an eyebrow.
"Y-yeah. You just... you just seem really... charming, you know?" He starts blushing even more, beginning to ramble. "We were over there thinking about—"
"She's not interested."
Nina quickly interjects, that same polite expression gracing her features, but you can tell there's something a bit… off about it.
The corners of her mouth not quite reaching her eyes. To any other person, she looks as nice as usual, but you can tell she feels something less than cordial right now.
"O-oh? Are you-" the poor college student timidly looking to you to see if you can hand him a lifeline or something.
Nina continues in cheerily staring the man down. Smile still unwavering. She gently grabs your arm, guiding you behind her back. Her demeanor warm and inviting, yet her body language says something otherwise. Something akin to a watchful dog, guarding its territory, snarling and ready to bite at any moment.
The only difference being in how a dog and Nina bare their teeth.
A slight chill runs through your arm when you notice just how tight her grin is right now. Plastic-like. Forced.
"Isn't that right... (name)?" honeyed voice calling out in friendly concern.
She turns her head towards you, holding your gaze while looking for your confirmation. Confirmation for... the guy? Or for... herself? That you are, in fact, not interested. Nor will you ever be interested in any other relationship, aside from the one with her.
You continue to stare at her too. Frozen. The deep blue color in her irises usually comfort you, instead it feels like it's trying to slowly worm its way into the deepest most intimate parts of your mind right now, poking and prodding at your brain, and planting seeds without your permission.
You blink, trying to break your gaze, wanting to look at anything but her. Not wanting to give her that access. You feel as if you could give a wrong answer at any moment.
Her eyes gently remind you that you do know the answer...
that you should know the answer.
"R- Right... right." You look at the man in front of you again, he's even more hesitant now. You swallow and try to clear your voice.
"... I'm not interested."

Michael comes to visit Eliana for special days just whenever she wants to see him because Terra and Vanessa decided that it'd be good for her to have connection to her father, despite calling him "Uncle Mike." Eliana was diagnosed with autism at 7 years old after she had a meltdown about having to sleep on silk sheets in a hotel that the 3 women were staying at for a trip.
She's lived in Forks her entire life and doesn't mind the quietness or rain because at night, when the rain clears, she see the stars and often draws pictures out whatever shape(s) she sees in them.
START NOTE: IM AUTISTIC AND CAN RECLAIM THE R SLUR. I WILL AVOID USING IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO IT MAY ONLY POP UP 1 OR 2 TIMES. If people are uncomfortable, I'll remove the slur from the story entirely <3
First Meeting
"Do I not look Italian-?" Eli asked, laughing as Mike was in shock learning the autistic member of the group was Italian.
"No, you look white-!! Like, white white." Mike protested as Eliana walked with Bella to her truck.
"Bye bye, Mikey~!" She called as Bella shook her head and ruffled Eliana's dual colored hair.
"So, I'm guessing you and Mikey are close?" Bella questioned as Eliana moved closer to her to avoid bumping into the Cullens.
"Eehhhh, if you wanna call teasing each other like siblings close because you're both only children then yes...? Besides, we grew up neighbors, so we see each other every day and let me tell you- being surrounded by loud neurotypicals hurts like hell."
"Really?" Bella looked up at Eliana as the smaller female sat on the hood of the car. "I thought they were ok- a bit better than the people back in Arizona."
"Ehhh, depends on the person. Since I'm autistic, and I don't speak for every autistic person, I have sensory issues meaning I can't handle super loud crowds or friend groups. But they were my only friends, so I sucked it up as best as I could and dealt with it. You, however, aren't autistic and don't really mix with the loud crowd and tend to avoid them as much as possible," Eliana explained pulling a marker out of her patch-filled messenger bag and started to draw stars along her left arm.
"Oh.. that makes sense, yeah," Bella replied after a moment, watching Eliana draw on herself. Throughout the day, Bella noted that Eli would do this whenever a certain blonde was around. According to Jessica, Eliana has had a thing for one of the mysterious Cullens- Jasper. Yet, he was seemingly taken by Alice. It hurt Eliana, so she took to drawing on herself to avoiding staring at him and causing drama.
Yet, every so often, Jasper would catch himself staring at her and he looked away, attempting, and failing, to not be caught.
The reason why the pair did this was because Jasper saved her life exactly 3 years ago today.
"Are you serious dude? The Freak?" A student inquired, laughing his ass off as Eli walked passed, clutching her books and not noticing the 5 squares of toilet paper stuck to the bottom of her shirt.
"Yeah! I mean, besides, it's not like anyone's going to stand up for the retard and won't it be awesome to humiliate it in front of the whole school?" The student's friend spoke up, grinning and seeing Eliana walk to class faster to avoid being seen crying out of distress.
Later that day, Eli had forgotten all about the worry of being humiliated. She felt safe and at peace. Besides, she had gotten to talk to one of her more mysterious classmates, Rosalie, today and she promised to help Eli get a good hair-do that would make her feel happy.
Life felt perfect and completely worry-free... until one of her bullies kicked her in the back and caused her to trip down the stairs of the building and fall into the wet pavement.
She groaned, rolling onto her side and hugging her ribs as blood ran down her face from her nose and her head spun in dizziness. She was in so much pain that she didn't process a car come barreling down to her until she heard a large crash and a familiar voice yell.
Two sets of hands pulled her up, eliciting a cry of pain from the younger as pressure was put onto her right foot. One of the 'strangers' whom had helped her up, scooped her up bridal style as she began to fall in and out of consciousness.
After a few hours had gone by, Eliana woke up, groaning.
"Ah, I see you're awake, Eliana. You gave us a scare there," a gentle and friendly voice said earning a tiny smile from the teen.
"Hi, Dr. Carlisle..." She groaned out, putting a hand to her head and flinching in the process.
"Hi, dear," he greeted, sympathetically and gently running his hand through her long bright blonde hair. The doctor cared deeply for her and she loved him like he was her dad. "Can you tell me what happened this time?"
"I- uhmmm... I don't think I remember a lot of it..." She told him, honestly and shrugging a tad. Carlisle merely smiled reassuringly.
"It's alright, you don't have to try and remember all of it now, but would you be able to give me a gist of what happened?" He questioned, sitting in one of the rolly stools while checking her heartbeat.
"Uhmm... I think I tripped down the stairs... and then hit my head really hard, but I don't remember anything after that," She told him, trying to focus on the light he was using to check her eyes.
"You tripped? Eli... these injuries don't typically come from tripping down the stairs- accident prone or not," Carlisle started, looking at her and she moved her gaze to her hands. "Are you sure someone didn't kick you down the stairs or anything?"
Eliana tensed and stayed quiet. She didn't want the senior to get in trouble, but her silence did confirm that someone did kick her down the stairs.
"Eli..? Come on, you can't stay quiet for this, honey. Jasper and Rosalie already told Chief Swan everything that they know and he's waiting to talk to you downstairs, as he's wanting to know if your mothers will press charges against whomever hurt you and, apparently, tried to run you over."
"He's gonna kill me if I say anything though..." Eli buried her face into her knee that she could move and groaned audibly.
"But he also could be behind bars. Freedom from him, Eliana, wouldn't that be nice?" Ana paused for a moment and nodded a bit, earning a kind smile from Carlisle.
However, before Carlisle could continue, one of the Cullens entered the room with Eliana's stuff. This one must've been Jasper, due to the fancy shirt he wore and his wavy/curly blonde locks were pushed out of his face that as Rosalie had described.
"Ah, Jasper, here with Eliana's things. Thank you, son," He said as Jasper sat her bag by her shoes and nodded, then went to leave, not making eye contact with either.
"Hey, Jasper-?.. uhm... Thanks.. to you and the other person who helped," Eliana called. Jasper had froze at the door when she called his name. He'd never heard it said so... kindly and softly before. There was no sound of reassurance or manipulation behind it- just pure gratitude and the blonde could sense that from her, even without his power.
Partially turning to face her, he smiled at her kindly.
"You're welcome, ma'am. I'm just glad to see you're not bleedin too bad," He said to her, with his Southern accent coming out before leaving the room. This left Carlisle chuckling softly at his son for sneaking in a thank-you to her for not causing him to go feral and Eliana completely in love with him.

23. How well would your OC manage in a long-distance relationship? And for how long?
Anna: Poorly. If she can't keep a very close eye on Seifer, she's going to assume Inappropriate Things are happening and lose her temper. Also without her almost-daily shibari sessions, she's even more of a bitch than she is now. She can handle separation for a week or ten days, but then Seifer's got a lot of rope handling to do.
C'allie: Easily. Her boyfriend Rylen lives in Ala Mhigo and she resides in Shirogane. One of her husbands, Thrav, has numerous mates in the Kyho tribe and so he splits his time between Gyr Abania and Shirogane. C'allie's not of the "out of sight, out of mind" type; she'll love someone for years without needing to be in their presence. When they can meet up, it's electric fun, and when they can't, she sends letters and tomestone messages and gifts.
Summer: Poorly. She spent so many years waiting for her One True Love that she doesn't want to have Kona out of her sight for very long, if at all. (And it's not just because he might attempt to escape.) Summer too thoroughly enjoys being able to walk behind him and drop a kiss on his shoulder while he's waxing a bow. Having him out of reach is just...unthinkable.
Esti: Decently. She could manage the contact necessary to keep a long-distance relationship up. Letters and messages and linkpearl calls and gifts wouldn't be difficult for her to maintain. The actual problem would be convincing herself that she was worth the effort on her partner's part. And trusting that her partner wasn't stringing her along while enjoying relationships in their region. If she could keep that under control, she'd be able to keep a long-distance relationship for a while, but eventually... Either someone is moving or the relationship ends.
{It's her, she's the one moving, of course she's not going to ask someone else to change their life for her, they're already managing to like someone inherently unlovable, of course she's going to uproot her entire life (again) for them.}

so. victoria drawtectivesoc. speak on that.
OH GOSH where do I start…?
So Vic, she can be a bit shy at first but if you get to know her, she’s super passionate about the things she cares about. She’s sweet and she’s kind but she can be impulsive and exhibits a tendency to beat around the bush and not just say what she means. She feels all her feelings very strongly, she just has a hard time expressing that.
As I said earlier, Anna Log is her sister (though I haven’t decided whether younger or older), and between the two of them Anna was kind of always the overachiever. Victoria has a tendency to be a bit self deprecating in an attempt to endear herself to others because of this, that or she’ll just make herself scarce. She’s admittedly a bit jealous of her sister, but they’re still close enough to live together. Vic also doesn’t have a surname yet in case Anna is brought back on another season, and we learn her real name.
When Vic was a bit younger she’d wanted to be a vet, went to college for it and everything, only to realize entirely too late that her heart couldn’t handle seeing hurt animals every single day. She’s moved in with her sister now and works at a cat café while she takes her college courses online. She’s considering going into graphic design!
Victoria and Eugene met at the cat cafe where she works, before Felix died. Victoria was instantly smitten, but confessing never really occurred to her, relegating him as being far too out of her league. They’d developed a friendship regardless, both trying to help each other wherever they could.
When Felix finally passed away (I imagine maybe a year or two after they met and Eugene started working on the Celestial Spear, Eugene hired Anna through Victoria, and in turn Victoria made excuses to see Eugene through Anna.
Victoria isn’t particularly subtle. Anna knows damn well what Victoria feels and finds this mostly embarrassing if anything. Even Eugene is subconsciously aware of how she looks at him throughout all this, but he doesn’t quite know how to feel about that. He’s very busy and isn’t fully convinced he’d be a particularly great romantic partner, and he finds this sort of thing confusing anyway. It’s just difficult for him.
Regardless, Eugene wants to show he cares about her some way. So he gets her those star shaped earrings! It’s a romantic gesture of sorts, even if he doesn’t fully admit to or realize it at the time.
After Eugene has gotten the Celestial Spear up and running, and he was about to go, Victoria freaked out, just a little bit, and confessed her love to him. (I picture him literally in the middle of a doorway as she’s saying this.)
Eugene is completely blindsided and flustered- he’s about to go, he has like two minutes, what on Earth is he supposed to say to her? He hesitantly, but very politely explains that, yes, he does love Victoria dearly, but he’d prefer to see where things would go between them after he’d finished working on Gareville and arrived home.
Victoria is ecstatic, she really hadn’t expected things to go this well at all. She just has to wait for him and her sister to get home, and she can talk about things with him more, and everything will be great!
And then no one comes home for months.
Victoria ends up having to report two missing people.
When they’re finally home, Anna remembers who Victoria is immediately; but Eugene doesn’t.
Victoria elects not to remind him of how close they were at one point, or what she’d said to him. He’s going through a lot and he doesn’t need another thing to be guilty about. So she just gets to quietly suffer, hip-hip-hurray!
#drawtectives#drawtectives oc#oc victoria#eugene finch#oc x canon#anna log#I probably couldve said more but i just. elected to lay out her story#IK aro Eugene is almost universally accepted but. I’m love him. So he gets to be demi. as a little treat.

The Heart Don't Lie Chapter 70
AO3
She is terrified. Each day that passes makes her more so. She would go to Rose but she is so happy finally. No, she won’t disturb that. Not for something that may be nothing.
Mama Claire. She is the one who can handle this perfectly. With a nod to herself and a quick breath for courage, she walks into the kitchen where she seats. The twins and her are playing with modeling clay.
“Will, Will! Play?” her baby sister holds up the sticky clay.
She smiles at her. “Sure Em.” She knows their naptime is soon.
As she joins them, Mama Claire gives her a quizzical look. She is able to hide her concern from Em and Tom but not from her. Her smile says they will talk later.
After a half hour of rolling and pounding the clay with Thomas and rolling and shaping it with Emily, they are rubbing their eyes.
“I shall place them down and we shall talk, eh?”
“Aye please.”
Claire leads the eighteen months off for a much needed nap and Willa gathers up the clay, placing it back in the containers.
“They went down easy. Now, what is wrong?”
She rejoins her at the table.
No reason to mince words. “I think I may be pregnant.”
Whatever Claire was expecting to hear, it wasn’t that. Her mouth hangs partially apart as her mind struggles on how to respond.
“Pregnant? But you haven’t a lad,” she shakes her head, “sorry, of course you must, just… help me out here.”
“He is in my classes. One day, a month ago, I was feeling really bad about Anna and everything. We went out for a brew. It turned into several. His place and ah…”
“Indeed. Okay, how late are you? Any nausea, other changes?”
“Ten days, aye just recently, and my bra’s are getting tighter.”
Her stepmom closes her eyes, her lips move. Willa wonders if she is praying. She herself has been. The first time, a barely recalled experience, could completely change her life.
“I shall let Jenny know the twins are napping. She can keep an eye on them while we go find out.”
They head to hospital. “Wouldn’t one of those where I pee on a stick work?”
“Yes but this is more accurate.”
One of Claire’s favorite nurses is working in the A&E.
“Dr. Fraser, are you finally rejoining us?” She greets her.
“Not until the twins are school age, I am afraid. We have a delicate matter,” she explains what is needed.
A blood draw and the two head to the cafeteria to wait on the results.
“I am terrified,” Willa plays with the straw on her drink, “I am not ready to be a mam! What will I do?”
“First things first. We find out. Then, well…”
“I could give it away. There are couples out there who would love to adopt, right?”
“There are. It is a beautiful unselfish choice.”
“After nine months and giving birth though, I don’t know that I will be able too hand it over to a stranger.”
“Willa, you know we will support you in whatever decision you make.”
“Daddy is going to want to kill me.” She bemoans, her head down.
“No,” She reaches across the table and lifts her head, “no. He will be disappointed and angry, more at the lad then you, I imagine. He adores you and will help and support you any way he can.”
Claire ‘s phone chimes. “Is that?”
“Yes. The results are back. Come, let’s find out.”
She takes the paper from the nurse. Her arm tightens around her step daughter.
“Mama Claire?”
“You are pregnant.”

Labs and Liquor
Part 2/?
here is part 1
"Alright you want to play games, bitch- let's fucking play," E.P snarled
Tyler lined the cups up on the table, "E.P, do you want to start?" He handed the fuming man a small plastic ball.
E.P rolled the small ball in between his finger as he stared at you, "I'll start," He mumbled before bouncing the ball off of the table and into the one of your cups. "Drink up."
You pull the ball out and toss it into the water cup, quickly downing the liquid inside of the cup. "Fucking hell- what type of cheap shit did you put in here?" You ask as you wipe your mouth with the back of your hand.
"What? S'not good enough for you, princess? Or can you just not handle your liquor?" E.P asks with a look of annoyance. This man was going to piss you off, he was attractive sure- but annoying as hell.
"Girl just play the game," Anna Kate mutters as she takes her place at the table. She lines herself up for the shot and sinks the ball into the cup, "Ooh drink up, Tyler," She says with a wink and a coy smile.
Tyler smirks back and downs the beer, "Oh she's right dude, this stuff taste like ass," he tips the cup so that E.P could see.
"Well you are the one that let the pledges-" E.P was quickly cut off by you, "Ladies, are we going to sit and argue about every little thing tonight? Hm?" You ask with a sharp edge to your tone, "Well is someone going to answer me?"
"You know you would be a whole lot prettier if you would just shut the hell up sometimes, y'know that?" E.P retorts, "Nobody likes bratty little bitches."
You stared back at him with a narrowed gaze and a wrinkled nose, "Your point being? I don't want you- conceited ass." You mumble under your breath before tossing the ball.
"Yeah and why is that?" E.P asks as he watches your ball bounce off the rim of the cup and onto the floor.
You roll your eyes and scoff, "Just drop it alright?"
E.P shakes his head and chuckles, "I don't think I will."
The game goes on for another ten minutes at this point Anna Kate is holding onto the edge of the table to keep herself steady and you have your arms wrapped around E.P. Tyler is laying flat on the table top staring at the makeshift beer carton chandelier.
"Y/N, we gotta go homeee, 'member- you said that-" she hiccupped, "you said that we weren't even 'pposed to be out 'night." Anna Kate said as she stared back at you with hazy eyes, she was swaying slowly.
Tyler who was the soberest one out of all of you took her hand, "Honey I think it is best if you stay here tonight, m'kay?"
"But what about Y/N?" She asked softly as she stared back at you.
"I am not ready to go yet- I am gonna stay with this idiot," You replied as you smacked E.P's chest with a giggle.
Tyler checked with E.P to make sure he was okay and then made his way to the bathroom with Anna Kate, "So your name is Y/N, huh?" E.P asked as he took a sip of his beer.
"Ooh secrets out!" You say as you fiddle with the collar of his shirt, "Y'know you're actually kind of hot- like really fucking hot."
"Oh like really fucking hot?" E.P asks as his hand slowly make their way to your waist.
"Yep. Hot enough that I would let you fuck me." You say popping the 'p' and drawing out the last 'e' in a sing songy voice.
"You don't even know my real name, crazy girl."
"Well you should probably tell me then."
"And why is that?"
"E.P just- it just doesn't sound right."
"Whadya mean?" He asks as he sets his can down, his eyebrows furrowed.
"It just isn't the type of name you want to scream out when you are being fucked, y'know?" You say as you detach yourself from him and begin to walk to the counter.
He grabbed your arm and pulled you back to him, "Elvis. How does that sound?"
"Well-"
"Let's try it out." He says as he eyes you up and down, the smell of alcohol lingering on both of your breaths.
Perhaps it was the liquor coursing through your veins that made this whole scenario seem to play out in slow motion or maybe it was the sound of your own heart beat blaring in your ears. "Please." You say softly, almost like a prayer, a plea from you to him.
"Let's go"

Saruhiko’s daughter playing dress up with him.
Imagine Fushimi just standing there with dead fish eyes as his daughter uses him as a living fashion mannequin XD He can’t say no to her obviously, because he’s always hyper-aware of Ways I Could Possibly Screw Up My Kid, so if she wants him to dress up and have a tea party then that is what they are doing. Fushimi doesn’t care much for the frilly dress but he’ll wear it if that’s what his daughter wants (though imagine even when he’s playing dress up he’s still got all these knives on under his clothes, and where most kids would have stuffed animals as the party guests Fushimi’s kid has a few of his knives that she’s named and propped up in small chairs). Imagine he even ends up hesitantly asking Kusanagi if Anna has any dresses she’s grown out of, because his kid is always staring at Anna like she just saw a princess but Fushimi doesn’t really know where people go to buy those kinds of clothes. Kusanagi is pretty amused when Fushimi asks though and Anna herself probably gifts him a whole pile of cute dresses, some a bit too big for his daughter but just Fushimi’s size, all with this knowing smile.
Of course it has to happen that one day an emergency comes up while Fushimi’s on a day off with his daughter and he has to come help. Imagine he has his own apartment near S4 that he lives in with his daughter because the dorms are too cramped (and Munakata keeps showing up unannounced to bond) so no one has ever actually seen Fushimi dressed up. There’s a Strain taking hostages right by the apartment though and Munakata and Awashima are both away on some kind of important political summit. Akiyama assures Fushimi that they can handle it on their own if he’s busy but Fushimi doesn’t like this Strain being so close to where his daughter lives so he tells her he’ll be right back. The squad meanwhile are trying to hostage negotiate with the Strain when the Strain suddenly pitches forward, collapsing with knives pinning them to the ground. The squad are all relieved like it’s Fushimi-san, which is when Fushimi appears in a frilly dress, sun hat and heels, grumbling about how his tea party got interrupted and what a pain.
#Fushimi Saruhiko#Talking K#good dad Fushimi#imagine him taking down Strains in a pretty dress and bonnet#no one has the guts to say a word#he's crabby bc they interrupted the tea party#good thing he had knives already strapped to his thighs

Spider Quinn 08: The Three Misfits - Part 3
Then there was an interruption
“Quinn!” It was Ted Dewit-Clinton, who had just entered the store.
“Ted?” both sisters asked at once.
“Hey Daria. Quinn. Ms. Li wanted me to talk to you about your project.”
“It’s called a project now?” Daria asked.
“Yes! Quite interesting,” Ted said.
“For the Lowdown?” Quinn asked, referring to the school paper.
“Yes. And for the yearbook. But for the Lowdown at first,” Ted answered.
“Oh,” Daria said.
“About, the project,” Quinn said. “It hasn’t had a good a start as I would have liked.”
“What do you mean?” Ted asked as he sat down.
Quinn then repeated what she had told Daria about Gerald running off.
“I see,” Ted said when Quinn had finished.
“But I still have Anna and Ben.”
“That’s true,” Ted said.
“So, you want to do an interview?” Daria asked.
“Not right now,” Ted said. “Tomorrow.”
“That would be best. Would after school be good?” Quinn asked.
“That would be good.”
“In any case. I want to be going. I need to think about things,” Quinn said.
“Sure,” Ted said.
“Are you sure?” Daria asked.
“I’ll see you at home,” Quinn said.
“OK.”
Quinn then got up and left.
“And how are you, Daria?” Ted asked. “I realise I haven’t talked to you since your father passed away.”
“I’m coping,” Daria answered with her usual slight smile. “But it’s my mother and Quinn I’m more worried about. Mom has thrown herself into work more than before. And as for Quinn, I’m sure you’ve heard about what happened with the Fashion Club.”
“Of course. But isn’t that a good thing for her, being away from Sandi?”
“In a way,” Daria responded. “But she’s also spending a lot of time by herself.” But what she didn’t want to mention to Ted was that she had seen Quinn sneaking out at night sometimes.
“I see,” Ted said. “Also, Jane isn’t here.”
“No, she isn’t,” Daria said. “She’s doing her own thing.”
“But you’re still friends, right?” Ted asked.
“Of course we are. She has stuck by me after what happened, happened.”
SpiderGirl swung away from the Pizza place, towards Dega Street. She had heard the beginning of Daria and Ted’s conversation. ‘I know you’re concerned, Daria,’ she thought. But there wasn’t much she could do about that. She thought about the situation with Gerald again. Daria did have some good ideas. ‘I’ll see if Ms. Li agrees.’ But whether it would be the Planetarium or something else. ‘I’ll find out tomorrow.’
She then saw Anna, or rather, Felicia on the street.
“SpiderGirl!” she called.
“Really?” SpiderGirl asked as she landed.
“Yes,” Feli said.
“What’s up?” SpiderGirl asked.
“Um, something unexpected. The principal has my friend and I in a peer support program,” Feli said.
‘Little does she know…’ SpiderGirl groused to herself. “Go on.”
“Like, completely unexpected!”
“But you think it’s a good idea?”
“Yes. But there’s another person, who flaked,” Feli added.
‘I see that she’s annoyed about Gerald too,’ SpiderGirl thought. “So, you think it won’t work?”
“It depends,” Feli paused. “On how the one running the program handles it.
“Well, I suppose that Li wouldn’t choose someone incapable.”
“But I don’t completely trust Quinn!”
“What do you mean?” SpiderGirl asked.
“I mean, she admits she was looking for an extracurricular. I would have trusted Daria more.”
“But would this other girl have done it?”
“I’m not sure,” Feli answered.
“There’s not much more I can say,” SpiderGirl said, feeling uncomfortable.
“Oh,” Feli said. “I guess I will just have to see how things go.”
“Yes. I’ll be off.”
“Wait!”
“What? Another lift?” SpiderGirl asked incredulously.
“Yes. I liked it yesterday.”
“Fine! But where?”
“Cranberry Commons,” Feli answered, referring to one of Lawndale’s Malls.
“Sure,” SpiderGirl said.
Said Mall lay to the southwest of the downtown. It didn’t take the superheroine long to take the weird blonde there. She landed on the edge of the grounds, there being a dearth of trees around it. ‘I’ll have to figure out how to swing into it at some point,’ she thought. “This is as far as I can swing,” she said.
“What about around another way?” Feli asked.
“I tried that. If it was the Lawndale Mall, I can reach it from behind.”
“Oh, you’ve explored all the routes through Lawndale?”
“Not all,” SpiderGirl admitted. “But most. Seven Corners is another difficult spot. But I can get across the Creek and into the Business Park. But getting out of Lawndale is the difficult part.”
“Oakwood?”
“Yes. There’s a lot of farmland in that direction. The Interstate and the State Route don’t have many telegraph poles.”
“I see,” Feli said. “I’ll see you later.”
“Bye,” SpiderGirl said. She looked around before swinging away in the direction she had come from.
She headed back to the downtown. And just in time, as she saw a mugging in progress near a closed storefront on Third Street. “Oh great! Haven’t you got the message!” she quipped as she swung down.
“SpiderGirl!”
“That’s me. Protector of the innocents in Lawndale!” she said as she webbed him up. She turned to the would be victim.
“Thanks, SpiderGirl,” the girl said, a fellow student at Lawndale High, in Daria’s year. “A bit hard to believe this kind of thing is happening in Lawndale more. I thought it was safe!” she said vehemently.
“Unfortunately. It’s happening,” SpiderGirl responded.
“Do I know you?” the girl asked.
“You know who I am,” SpiderGirl responded.
“I do?”
“I’m your friendly neighborhood SpiderGirl!” she said just before swinging away.
Tananda Watts watched as the vigilante swung away. She wasn’t sure what to make of that exchange. She sighed. She would be more careful. She didn’t want to be in such a position again.
SpiderGirl thought more in the situation with Gerald as she patrolled. “I’ll ask him about the field trip idea,” she decided.
Lawndale Sun-Herald
Thursday, December 17, 1999
Is SpiderGirl a teenager?
Quinn got to school early after an uneventful early morning patrol as SpiderGirl.
She decided to talk to Ms. Li right away.
“Ms. Morgendorffer?” Li asked as they both came to the office at the same time.
“I started the mentoring, yesterday,” Quinn started.
“Something happened?” Li asked.
“Yes,” Quinn answered with a nod. “One of them ran off in the middle of the session.”
“Which one?” Li asked, as if she wasn’t surprised.
“Um, Gerald. The nerdy one.”
“Not surprising Ms. Morgendorffer. I will talk to him later in the day. But first, what about the other two?”
“They stayed, duh! I think it’s going well with them.”
“Good.”
“But I have an idea,” Quinn said.
“What is this idea?”
“A field trip. It will allow us to spend time together.”
“Really? Ms. Morgendorffer. Do you have any idea how much that would cost for just four students?”
Quinn sighed. “I suppose the Planetarium would be out of the question.”
“Yes. But why that idea.”
“Because one of the trio had picked a book on Astronomy.”
The Principal paused. “Let’s start from the beginning. You met in the library and then?”
“We introduced ourselves to each other and then I asked them to grab a book that showed what they were interested in.”
“I see. And what were they interested in?”
“Irish folklore, forensic medicine and Astronomy. And I chose a book on drawing and design,” Quinn answered.
“I can see who chose what. But why this field trip idea.”
“Because Gerald ran off when I was sharing and we started talking about recent events. You know…”
Li knew what she meant. “I see. I doubt a field trip would make him any more amenable to hearing about that.”
“I know. But it would allow the four of us to connect more.”
The Principal sighed. “Maybe not the Planetarium. But some other science related field trip will be acceptable.”
“Thanks Ms. Li!”
“I know you’re trying your best. I will call him in early in the day. I’ll let you know how that goes. Good Day, Ms. Morgendorffer.”
Angela watched the eager student go. She had meant it when she said that Quinn was trying her best. ‘It seems her grief has allowed her to turn a new leaf, as it were.’ She switched on her computer. As she waited for it to boot up she wrote down some notes on what she and Quinn had talked about.
Quinn sighed in relief after she left the Principal’s office. She hoped that some kind of field trip would be allowed.
“Gerald Brown, report to the Principal’s Office Immediately!”
“What now?” Gerald asked himself. ‘And straight after leaving Homeroom again!’
This time he powerwalked towards the office as fast as the crowds of fellow teens allowed.
“Come in, Mr. Brown,” the Principal said.
“What is this about?”
“It’s about you leaving the peer mentoring program early yesterday.”
“What did Quinn say?” Gerald asked.
“How do you know that it was she that said anything?”
“I don’t think the other two would have complained to you about it.”
“Yes, it was, Ms. Morgendorffer!” the Principal said. “She said you left the ‘icebreaking’ activity while she was talking about herself.”
“It was uncomfortable, her talking of her father passing away,” he breathed deeply. “It reminded me of one of my grandparents passing away a few years ago. It wasn’t as sudden, but it was still a shock.”
Li nodded. “I see. In any case, Ms. Morgendorffer has suggested a science related field trip. I cannot sanction one to the Planetarium, but something else can be arranged.”
‘Of course the Planetarium is out of the question given how stingy she is!’ Gerald groused to himself. “I see,” he said.
“You will catch up with Ms. Morgendorffer and the others later today.”
“Of course!”
Gerald left the Principal’s office annoyed. It was like both the Principal and Quinn were conspiring against him! ‘A field trip, but not the planetarium. Why can’t I just be alone at school? Is that too much to ask?’
Quinn found Anna and Ben at Lunch. “There you are!” she said.
“What’s up?” Ben asked.
Quinn noted that he was nibbling his plain sandwich very carefully, while leaving most of it wrapped in the tin foil. “Just letting you know that I talked to Ms. Li about what happened yesterday.”
“Oh,” Anna responded.
“So, what did she say?” Ben asked.
“If we are going on a field trip, it wouldn’t be to the planetarium,” Quinn answered. “And that she would be talking to Gerald sometime today.”
“Right,” Anna said.
“But that means it would be outdoors!” Ben groused.
“I’ll figure something out,” Quinn said.
“I hope so!” Ben said.
“So, what’s next?” Anna asked.
“We’ll see if Gerald comes to the library this afternoon,” Quinn said.
“OK.”
The rest of the school day went as usual. The Principal let Quinn know that she did talk to Gerald. Thus she entered the library at the end of the day hoping that reclusive boy would be there.
She saw Anna and Ben, but not Gerald. Anna had another book of Irish folklore and Ben had another text on forensic medicine. “I looked for one on Welsh folklore, but the school doesn’t have one,” Anna said.
“I guess that happens,” Quinn said. She knew that Daria would have an opinion on that.
“He’s coming,” Ben said.
Quinn turned and saw that Gerald was coming in.
“I apologise for what happened,” he said quietly.
Quinn wasn’t sure that apology was genuine, but she would take it. “Apology accepted.”
“Ms. Li said something about a field trip?” Gerald said.
“Yes. Any field trip, just not to the Planetarium,” Quinn said.
“I can see why,” Anna said.
It was then that Ted entered the library. “I haven’t come at a bad time have I?” he asked.
“Not at all,” Quinn said.
“Wait,” Gerald said.
“What?” Quinn asked.
“This is for the Lowdown?” Gerald asked.
“Yes,” Ted answered.
“No!” Gerald said.
“Oh great!” Quinn groused.
“I’m not getting interviewed,” Gerald said.
“I see that is a bad time,” Ted said.
“Not at all,” Quinn said. “I’m sure Ms. Li just intended for you to interview me about it.”
Ted looked to be in thought for a moment. “That’s true.”
“Right,” Gerald said. It didn’t look like he relaxed, but it didn’t look like he was about to run off either.
“But first we’re talking about field trip ideas,” Quinn said.
“Oh,” Ted said.
“So, grab a map of Lawndale and it’s surrounding areas from somewhere?” Anna asked.
“Good idea, Anna,” Quinn said.

What's your take on Anna and Kristoff? Am I the only one thinking he would be miserable as Anna's husband? He doesn't like palace life or dressing up or being confined. How is he going to manage as Prince Consort ?
Hi again anoymous,
Good question because I think you're on to something here. Kristoff wouldn't like these things of course given the nature he's grown up in and lived, being a mountain man. He wouldn't find it easy at least.
Kristoff didn't change himself when he was Anna's boyfriend, and when he lived in the castle. He kept rolling his way with his love for reindeers, sledges which is good. Besides, Anna loved Kristoff for his personality, for his big heart. Anna never expected him to change and I don't she wil going into marriage. At the end of Frozen 2, after Anna was announced Queen to some citizens, Kristoff along with Sven and Olaf, got dressed in formal for the occasion. It was clearly seen that Kristoff is struggling with dressing the role but is doing it for Anna's happiness. But to his suprise when Anna came over she undid his set hair and tells him she likes him the other way. Anna knows Kristoff's big heart well, so she truly appreciated him and the boys dressing up formal for her but knows they would find it hard to keep up with the act, because they shouldn't have to change themselves for love. So what we take from that scene is that Anna would want Kristoff to continue being himself in his own comfortable looks rather than spend all day feeling restless. I watch a lot of romantic movies and series and I'm a series, someone explains what love is and she says from what I can remember, love is making yourself uncomfortable so that the other person who loves you can feel comfortable. And what Kristoff did, was a perfect example of this. He made himself uncomfortable with the intention that Anna would be happy and comfortable. But like I said Anna doesn't want him to hold the struggle and find himself pressured and like you suggested, become miserable.
So as for your question, how will he handle Prince Consort?, I think he'll do just fine. He'll wear clothes that are formal but comfortable and as for the duties Anna will help him balance it out. As for the "palace life", I don't think he dislikes it. I think from time to time he has been living in a room in the castle because now that he's with Anna, he's going to become a family, he won't continue living scruffy.
But if he still feels the pressure of all this high royal stuff, and if Anna herself is struggling with Queen than I think Elsa will help them find a solution either in the podcast or the movie. But I don't think that will be the case. We'll just have to listen to the podcast first to see what could be possible for the movie.
But to summarise this, I don't think they will have a miserable marriage. Anna wants Kristoff feeling comfortable with this change, and he will do his best either way to make her feel loved especially when the Queenly pressures rise. I really hope we see their wedding in the movie though.

to all my future roleplay partners who muse anna : elsa was wrong .
please note , below the cut is a negative analysis of elsa . i do not think she is a bad character or person by any means , but i think that she was grossly mischaracterized in frozen 2 . this is merely my interpretation of the movie , and it is only an OPINION . this is not meant to upset or offend anyone .
i think a lot of people ( with obvious exceptions ) think i muse elsa because i like her as a character but to be honest i muse her primarily because she ticks me off . her first characterization in frozen was pretty neat , and i genuinely enjoyed her — but in frozen two , it’s like they took all of her flaws and then attempted to romanticize them / justify them because “ oH sHeS tOo DiFfErEnT “ .
elsa neglected anna’s feelings that entire movie . i understand that anna was reduced to “ “ crazy girlfriend “ “ trope or whatever , but either way — elsa ALWAYS ( in the second movie ) prioritized her own emotions over anna’s — whether she intended to or not . even if she was just trying to " protect " anna , she doesn't really seem to stop and think , " does anna understand WHY i'm being so reluctant to this ? " . of course communication goes both ways , but even still . i know that isn't necessarily realistic for elsa's character — but it's just weird that the movie seems to treat how elsa is treating anna as okay and acceptable and never address it again .
in ‘ olafs frozen adventure ‘ , we actually see elsa had the capacity to feel self aware and apologetic , because she literally apologizes to anna for storming out on her . but in frozen two , anna has to literally BEG elsa to come with — after elsa quite literally says “ no , you’re too weak , you might die “ ( didn’t you just think your powers were a burden ? ) .
and it’s not like elsa brings this up once and leaves it at that . she shows it SEVERAL times through her actions by “ saving “ everyone else , and then scolding anna for trying to help her . not to mention , elsa doesn’t seem like the type of person to not analyze a situation before running into it . i’m not saying she wouldn’t use her powers to help ( like she did in the enchanted forest with bruni — pointless plot point , by the way ) , but anna has shown time and time again that she is JUST — if not MORE — capable than elsa to handle herself . and elsa just keeps putting her down .
and it doesn’t come off as “ i want to protect you “ , which i think disney intended it as . it comes off as “ i am better than you , and want to be alone “ — which is a BOLD stance for disney to take , since the message of the first movie was “ you need to let your loved ones love you so you can love yourself “ . and now the message is . . . “ fuck your family , go find yourself you don’t need them ? ? “ i understand that elsa is an inherently independent character who clearly prefers to process her emotions alone , but — while this is valid — this is a REALLY bold take for a . . literate children’s movie to take . and to not address any of the emotional downsides that can come with this .
in the scene with elsa and anna at the shipwreck— elsa essentially makes anna witness an insanely traumatic event ( for what reason ? to ‘ know what happened ‘ ? could she not tell anna what she was planning to do and warn her to leave if she wasn’t mentally prepared to see that , at the very least ? ) , and then when anna is GRIPPING onto elsa for support , elsa . . runs away ?
i know that’s in elsa’s character , to cope with her emotions alone — but the fact that this is NEVER addressed again is insane to me . elsa goes “ they drowned because of ME . “ okay , sure , whatever . they did die trying to find the source of elsa’s powers . but to me , this comes across as incredibly “ this is MY trauma , anna . feel bad for ME . this is about ME . “ is this her intention ? of course not ! ! but it comes off that way to me . anna isn’t allowed to process her own emotions about seeing her parents in their last moments alive ( without her consent ) , she IMMEDIATELY has to put it aside to comfort elsa .
( i can understand the view of ‘ elsa feels more guilt surrounding this since she has trauma regarding her powers and feels like she , in a way , kind of killed her parents . ‘ that’s valid and totally makes sense . but that doesn’t negate anna’s relationship with her parents . she has just as much of a right to grieve and feel things as elsa does . while family should absolutely support each other through a loss like this , this carelessness and lack of regard for how this might be affecting anna and seeing her parents last moment against her will isn’t okay . )
and elsa thanks her , not by explaining to her “ i’m scared i’m going to lose you too , but this journey is really important to me . can we please find a compromise . “ — but instead sending her away on a boat . again , the message of “ i want to protect you “ is totally lost .
anna even addresses that she has every right to be mad — because , she does ! she has been pushed around and brushed off by elsa this entire journey , and all of her efforts are met with elsa belittling her . but the thing that makes me mad is : elsa NEVER sees ANY consequence for this . anna just , forgives her . and all is well .
obviously , i think elsa being the only one who got to see iduna is ridiculous , and the fact that they cut out the scene of agnarr and iduna gushing about how much they love anna is even more stupid , but i digress .
the ending of the movie is what really pissed me off , though . elsa DECIDES that anna “ gets “ to be queen . we never see the discussion , we just assume that elsa says , “ i’m gonna stay here , sooooo . . good luck ! “ sure , anna might have said yes , but what a shitty position to put your sister in ? “ hey , i’m gonna step down from the throne , technically sure you can refuse to take my place but good luck finding an heir BYE ! “ that’s not something you decide on a whim because you want to play horse girl in the woods forever .
and all of this would have been fine with me ! IF IT WAS ADDRESSED . but it’s not ! at the end of the movie , anna forgives elsa and all is well now . because elsa can’t have any flaws , because she’s elsa .
long story short , i roleplay elsa because the second movie REALLY grinds my gears . so , to any future partners i have that roleplay anna , please know : i don’t think elsa treated anna fairly at all . elsa living in the enchanted forest isn’t something that’s canon to my portrayal ( with a few exceptions ) , but i am more than willing to explore queen anna portrayals and how elsa and her navigate their relationship going forward . ( please note that i want their to be a solid relationship between muns before we explore this as angst threads are relatively emotionally exhausting for me ! )
