More Giants of Kentucky
The Bible says, There were giants . . . in those days, and clearly, it was right. The archaeological record for ancient giant humanoids in North America (and especially Kentucky) is considerable.
In 1519, explorer Alonzo Alvarez de Pineda reported encountering giants on the Mississippi River. Pandilo de Narvaez and Cabeza de Vaca made a similar discovery in Tampa Bay in 1528. And in 1539, the explorer Hernando do Soto found giants in Florida, including the Native American cacique Tuscaloosa and his son.
Were these mere ancient anomalies? Maybe not. Martin Van Buren Bates of Whitesburg was over six feet tall at the age of sixteen and didn't stop growing until he was twenty-eight, at which time he had reached seven feet eight inches. He left a successful military career to join the circus, where he met and ultimately married Anna Haining Swan, who was even taller. They entered the record books as the tallest married couple ever. She died in 1888, he in 1919.
The highly controversial "UFO preacher," Sherry Shriner, claims that the gigantism that affected Bates, as well as Louisville's own Jim Porter, is caused by deliberate genetic interference by extraterrestrials. Some proof of that comes from Holly Creek, where in 1965, Kenneth White unearthed a humanoid skeleton that was almost nine feet tall. Interestingly, the eyes on the massive thirty-inch-circumference skull were slits, not round sockets, fitting the popular description of a typical extraterrestrial alien. The nasal passages on the skull were similarly slitlike, rather than normal open sockets. The late Kentucky folklorist Michael Paul Henson actually traveled to Wolfe County to examine the remains personally before White insisted on giving the body a decent reburial.

In June 1871, 8’1 Anna Haining Swan and 7’9 Martin van Buren Bates became the tallest married couple ever. The two fell in love when they met each other as employees of a circus. After moving in to a custom made house, the two were unfortunately unable to have a healthy baby as their first child died in a few hours and their second child that weighed 23 pounds survived for 11 hours. Their second child has the record for being the heaviest baby. When Anna died in 1888, Martin ordered a statute of her from Europe.

Note
on less idiotic (But still weird fact) The tallest married couple ever recorded was Anna Haining Swan (7'11") and Martin Van Buren Bates (7'9"). Swan also gave birth to a 22-pound baby. think on that.
This isn’t an ask.

An illustration of Anna Haining Swan and her husband Martin Van Buren Bates. Canadian Anna met Martin, the "Kentucky Giant", in the 1870s when their separate circus tours overlapped in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Their promoters put them together as a single act, and they eventually married and settled down together in Seville, Ohio. According to records held by the village of Seville, Martin stood at 7'8" and weighed 470 lbs. at his maximum. Anna peaked at 413 lbs. with a height of 7'11", one inch shy of eight feet. . #history #viralnetics #usa http://fat.ly/1qtih [ Instagram ]
