It was semi-hyped so how do you think Lucy vs Dimaria could have happened?

This could‘ve been quite the interesting fight in the sense that there were theories about the Celestial Spirits being ancient Gods, so it would’ve come down to Gods vs Gods, which is super awesome.

I imagine such a fight to have served as an insight into the lore of FT. For example, more info on Gods, where they are now, how many of them exist in the current era, and definitely a hint at Ankhserum’s powers. Also, more info on how Celestial Spirit Magic works, the Spirit Realm, and maybe even their archive.

For the fight itself, I think Lucy would’ve taken advantage of the fact that time flows differently in the Spirit Realm and would’ve used it against Dimaria somehow. ^^

As for when it could have happened, I think right when Brandish and Lucy fought for the second time. Instead of Brandish, Lucy is greeted by bloodthirsty and very angry Dimaria.

Star Dress headcanons

Star dresses have been around since the 12 Zodiac Keys were created. Very few people have been able to use them, though. Their use requires a huge amount of magic power and a strong bond between the Celestial Spirit and their current key owner.

As I mentioned in my Celestial Spirits headcanon post, Celestial Spirits are the ones who design the dresses. They take into account the user’s gender, proportions and fighting style. This is why, for example, the Cancer dress Lucy uses now, might not be the same one someone else before her used.

The first star dress Lucy equipped was the Aquarius one. She didn’t know that until Virgo told her all about star dresses after the Tartaros conflict. Naturally, the second star dress Lucy equipped was the Virgo one.

Usually, Virgo takes care of designing the star dresses or creating new ones, but there are times when a Celestial Spirit requests to design the dress for their current key owner.

The male version of a star dress is called a star suit.

The Celestial Spirit King dress/suit exists, but has only ever been used two times during the thousands of years the spirits have existed (one of those times was to win a very important battle against the dragons). As she is now, Lucy is almost at the level she needs to be to be able to summon this legendary star dress.

Had Mashima continued the story and had he explored the topic of Gods and God Slayers more (Ankhserum being the final big boss in the series), Lucy would have definitely used the Celestial Spirit King star dress to fight against Ankhserum and the other Gods.

There have never been Silver Key Spirits star dresses, since they came to existence years after the Zodiac Spirits, have less magic power and can’t keep the star dresses materialized into the human world.

Lucy, Virgo and Leo have discussed that and are planning to create a spell that would allow the summoner to use their own power to keep the dress materialized in the human world. With that, Silver Key Spirits will have their own star dresses.

Yukino needs to train and improve a bit more to be able to use star dresses. She’s slowly but surely getting there, though!

Libra and Pisces are really proud of her and know that the day she’s gonna be able to use their star dresses is near.

Both the Libra and the Pisces star dresses will have Yukino’s signature cloak with feathery protrusions. In both star dress forms Yukino would be covering long range combat.

Whilst in Libra star dress form, Yukino would have her hair in two buns, one at each side of her head (similar to how Lucy’s hair is in Taurus form). Two scale-like accessories would hang from each bun - one would be white, the other - black. She’d be wearing a short white tunic tightened around her waist with a black belt (it’s in the ancient greek style). The outfit’s completed by a pair of white sandals.

While in Pisces star dress form, Yukino would have her hair in two low ponytails symbolizing the two separate spirits Pisces is made up of. She’d be wearing thigh-high light blue boots and a sleeveless dark blue dress that is similar to what Lucy wore at the end of the GMG arc. She’d also have two upper arm bracelets, one at each arm and each representing the animal form of the Pisces spirits, to complete the outfit.

If the Fairy Tail story had continued when would you hope to see in a God Arc and conclusion?

Ohhh, interesting question!

I’ve always imagined that Gods would appear in the final arc. I was almost certain that with all the hints we were getting, Ankhserum would play a huge role in the story. He was the one who cursed Zeref and Mavis, so I imagined a redemption arc for the Black Mage in which Fiore confronts the so-called Gods and frees Zeref and Mavis from their curses. I think there were even some really interesting theories about Mavis and Zeref being cursed by different Gods.

It made even more sense after we learned about Dimaria’s magic. There wasn’t just Ankhserum, there was also Chronos, so there had to be more to Gods than Mashima let on. There were even theories and discussions about the Celestial Spirit King being a God himself. We even have a couple of active God Slayers, although they are minor characters. The potential was there.

I also imagined that Gods were the rulers of the world before dragons came around. After being defeated by them, the few survivors spent thousands of years gathering strength and finding human vessels (Dimaria’s case) through which they could take over the world again. So the final arc would have been Fiore trying to put an end to the Gods’ plans. ^^

Was it ever explained why Zeref thought only END could kill him? It was something the black mage kept repeating in the last few arcs, but I don’t remember it being addressed in this one. Is it just because END is his strongest creation?

Also, did anyone else notice Zeref addressing a third entity while talking to Natsu? Ahhh, maybe the Ankhserum theory isn’t dead yet!

And who else is excited to see Lucy’s writing skills in action? After spending so many years writing her own novel and working hard to become a good writer, she’s now gonna write her masterpiece. Her writing is gonna save a life. The life of her best friend.
