DS Desert Hills' Location

So in Mario Kart DS there is a track known as DS Desert Hills which even has an Angry Sun in the background. This is not the first time we have seen a Desert Hills, we have seen one under the name Desert Land or Desert Hill from Super Mario Bros. 3. This makes this part of the Desert that is to the East of the Grasslands.
