Can we talk about how normal and incredibly human Luffy was in this scene?

His earth shattering grief didnt awaken any supernatural haki or abilities within him, instead it overwhelmed him, it was destroying him. The bleeding from his throat while his eyes lose focus and his body goes into shock - grief is ugly, loud, destructive and it tears you apart and leaves you vulnerable out in the open- thats what happening to him.

This was Luffy's, a 17 year old kid's moment of overwhelming realization that humans are powerless and weak on the face of death as his brother bled out in his arms while he (and world's most powerful pirate whitebeard) watched it helplessly. This was the biggest loss of his life as he understood that sometimes no matter how hard you try, things don't work out for you. This was when Luffy witnessed the consequence of the path he (and ace) had chosen, that a pirate life was actually much harder than just adventure and freedom and that there was a heavy price to pay, that death could take anyone anytime.

This wasnt just sadness, this was the end of the world for Luffy and he wasn't the same person after this moment.

Birthday gift for Ragatha's VA, Amanda Hufford! They absolutely did a wonderful job helping give life to this lovey ragdoll (and my favorite character of the show) through their voice talent and seeing all the other voices they've done so far, I'm looking forward to whatever comes next and wish them well in their acting career in the industry, especially in future episodes in TADC!

THE ACE ATTORNEY ANIME IS SOOOOO UNSERIOUS they include a whole extra flashback episode when Miles Phoenix and Larry are kids (it's so cute) and it ends and Nick is like "haha yep! What a great time we had! And now we finally solved the mystery of Miles's dad so nothing stands in the way of our friendship!" and then you get a jumpcut to Edgeworth saying "It seems like this is goodbye once again" and leaving behind his "miles edgeworth chooses death" letter as he walks out into the night LIKE BRO???!!!!

Arata's VA leaving is quite sad, i feel like they could've done so much more with his character, but i suppose that's why his story was tied up a little too quickly...

Kouhei Yanagi was the perfect fit for Arata, i think he did the emotional parts of the story involving him very well, especially the moments in LUtF, as well as the OYF flashbacks </3

Did you know that Athena Cykes and Hime Shirayuki/Cure Princess share the same Japanese VA, Megumi Han? I love finding voice actor connections like this and it’s cool to see that two franchises I love, Ace Attorney and Precure share a voice actress in common.

Ace Attorney fans, my (almost) Christmas gift to you all is a video listing the voice actor credits for the English localizations of Investigations 2, both the unofficial and official versions!

For the official version, released in the collection earlier this year, there were a few voice roles already confirmed by the actors on Twitter, and I managed to get a few more by asking the actors themselves through email, leaving only about four that we don't have confirmation on, that I tried to speculate based on past work.
