I saw the intreviw. Every time Barry wanted to grab the cup he had to practically get up. At some point there's a mix up when Barry goes to put his drink down and Jacob notices and grabs it back for him thinking he couldn't reach, Emerald asks what's happening and Barry says "is so far down, I wish I was Jacob Elordi". And the clip doesn't show the best part, Barry looking down from his chair and then remembering that Jacob is right there.

i saw an abba cover band tonight and honestly most of the performance was spent imagining what im sure is some absolutely insane interpersonal drama

#the performance was. fine the band carried it though #I JUST WORK IN ARTS AND CULTURE AND NOW IM A SNOB. I WORK IN A THEATER AND IN A LIVE MUSIC VENUE SO I HAVE OPINIONS.#their mixing was. strange right at the top one of the singers was clearly not getting enough of her own vocals in her monitor #FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY? HAZE NOTICE?? NOTHING????#so her voice sounded really strained. which is something they should have fixed in soundcheck.#she slayed at the winner takes it all though ill give her that #this has just turned into me complaining but whatever #one guy on acoustic guitar who was doing The Least #the keys guy was pretty good #the other singer was. fine #the musicians though they really killed it theyre clearly insanely talented #and i just. why abba covers? i mean power to you chase your bliss and all that but they were clearly professionals and Really Fuckin Good #NO PRESHOW ANNOUNCEMENT EITHER. HOW LONG IS THE SHOW? IS THERE AN INTERMISSION? i think what made me realize i dont have to make a career out of something i love is when i stopped studying to become an interior designer even though i still love going through architectural magazines and looking at showrooms and going to home and furniture stores and still play minecraft but only in creative mode and spend most of the time in the sims on build mode

this is just a vent post you can interact with it or not i don't mind just i gotta put it somewhere

#but why is all the professional advice around singing terrifying as fuck #like i've had singing lessons where i can get them free/cheap but a lot of my study has had to be done on my own bc money #and i've been trying to follow best practice in regards to safety and keeping my vocal cords healthy #but like. lately i've been getting an issue of G4 specifically is scratchy as hell. no other note #and all advice online is either 'dw you'll be fine it's nothing' or 'go see a doctor yesterday' with no in between #and last time i tried to see a throat specialist it was basically like sorry im dealing with fucking covid #and you want me to worry about your voice?? fuck off #so im kinda scared to try that again #but also the possibility of damaging my voice permanently or that i might have already done so is ALSO terrifying #and i haven't slept much which isn't helping but like. bleh #scary #:((((#i would like to not damage my voice forever #i would also like to not give up on singing and continue to train it where i can #bc im already a pretty good singer but not quite broadway level yet and i know i can get there #i dunno maybe it's just a chest infection i can't clear and it'll go away soon! maybe not #i just wish i had a better guideline for what the fuck to do here
