Okay here's a question
Killer can't feel anything right? Unless he's in stage 1 it just kinda drips out without him feeling it, so can Nightmare sense it? Like, does he feel it even if Killer doesn't or is it just like dial tone around him until he goes down to stage 1?

If I remember right one of them was "accidentally kidnapping a mafia boss" instead of getting kidnapped by the mafia and i think that has some kind of hilarious potential with Sinostra...

I think the key word here is "accidentally" too like no plan no intent it just happened somehow and now you gotta deal with not only him but also Romeo losing his shit (or alternatively hindering you from returning him because now he can get work done without having to babysit) and Ritsu trying to convict you for a heinous crime just because their freak boss broke into your car and fell asleep in the back seat or something and you were in too much of a hurry to notice

The worst part about having OCs that you really like and find really interesting is that you have to provide all the stuff for them. I'm sitting here and I'm like "I want to know more about his story" but I'm the only one who can write the fucking story. I want to read more about these little guys on their adventures but I have to come up with and write the adventures. The stories cannot simply spring fully formed onto the page and it is so annoying.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I don't remember hearing this episode of "Nightmare"! I'm trying to collect them all, and fix their audio quality if necessary. This one is in pretty good shape after the first few minutes. It has everything I love: mad science gone wrong, a hungry carnivorous plant, and Peter Lorre narrating the gruesome tale (I wish he had played the role of the botanist, but that actor did a superb job approaching Peter's usual brand of soft-spoken creepiness).
I loved this one! I always sympathize with any mad scientist in stories like this, coming from a science background myself. In the wet lab, I did lovingly care for and talk to my little "pets," which included some not very cuddly things like eels, snails, and large polychaete worms. These toothy creatures terrified the new students every time I proudly displayed them. I can't imagine why. They didn't eat anyone... that I know of. :3

#oh hey i just caught myself harboring Unnecessary Nightmare Scenarios#that last post made me think about how the only thing stopping me from getting another dog is money#like i could afford having a friend for savu. it would be no problem#BUT in a situation where i lost my partner and had to provide for the dogs by myself and they'd both get sick i'd be in deep trouble#which has sounded like a completely rational thing to be aware of. a completely valid reason for not getting another dog#except that is quite a few things that need to go wrong before the deep trouble would actually hit#and is that really the way i want to live my life? waiting for this relationship to end? accepting that eventually i will be left alone?#that my current life is nothing but a brief respite from a continuous struggle with both finances and illness? a glitch that will soon pass#it actually doesn't sound valid at all when i write it out like this#i have a partner who brings another stable paycheck into this household. i have no reason to believe this would change anytime soon#i have a wonderful dog that would probably benefit from having a friend#shelties are not super prone to any major lifelong diseases or such so it's unlikely the new dog would need constant expensive treatments#i think this thought pattern got a hold of me when savu got sick last spring#it was scary and unpleasant and i still feel raw around the edges after experiencing all of it#(the dog is fine by the way! definitely better these days and i'm super happy we got the surgery. we have many good years ahead of us still#but like. i'd like if my brain accepted 'this summer was scary and i'm not sure if i'm ready to possibly experience it with another dog'#instead of feeding me lies about a future where i'm all alone and desperately poor#but hey i've never caught this one before! now i know this thought pattern exists and can do something about it#sussitalk

In addition to cormorants, seals, and a horse and trap regularly clopping down the high street, this morning I was delighted to discover that my neighbours have employed a goat in their garden
#Earth & Stone#I've always been worried that they would tidy up and ruin that garden#Granted everything needs managed but it's always been a bit of a nightmare that one day#I feared they might pave over the whole things whereas right now it's a wonderful haven of flowers and wildlife#But a goat? That's by far the best possible outcome; it's even an improvement#Honestly this town is just a nice balance of humanity#Could I do without the drunks screaming at 3AM? Yes but in a new housing estate you never see goats#We're all just existing here and it's lovely#Even if the other neighbours over the street do feed the seagulls which is insane#It's like a spare bit of Fife that the developers and the curtain-twitchers and SUV brigade forgot#But at the same time it's not as Quaint TM and pretty and expensive as the East Neuk#It's the dandelion of towns

Well, that's finished.
Thanksgiving decorations are up, and the turkey stuffing is in the oven. I'll cook the rest later tonight, but right now, I'm going to sit down, eat my leftover cheesecake, and work on replies. Thank the Lord I'm only going to host three family members for Thanksgiving...
