heya doc! i was wondering, does your lab partner having any funny little quirks to him? maybe things he doesn't notice he's doing

i think so! im not sure how much of it he actually notices or not or if these even count, but i like when he gestures to things when hes talking, or when hes reviewing his work he always steps back and strokes his chin thoughtfully, and he likes to stand with his hands on his hips a lot! i like how when hes really focused on something he is always scowling even if hes not upset he will look so visibly determined.. or maybe just a little angry if you arent used to it. if hes nervous about something he tends to adjust his hardhat a lot. and i love it when sometimes he whistles while he works and how he always talks to his machines so gently and when he smiles its a little crooked and when hes excited you can really tell because he will get so much louder and you hear his smile in his voice!

2. What was the first smut fic you ever read?

Gosh, I really don't remember at all. It might have been Supernatural fic way way back in the day. In Silm, it was probably daphnerunning's turleg epic Outlast the Forests (which I'm going to list here even though it's got a lot going on besides the smut parts!). Getting into this ship and rediscovering my past love of Children of Húrin was a gateway drug for me in terms of then getting into the Silmarillion itself!

If you want your memory or executive function to improve, stare out a window at the skyline or sidewalk or trees or birds on the electrical wires for like 20+ minutes per day. (With no other stimulation like a podcast or TV if you can manage but hey baby steps innit). If you're fortunate enough to have safe outside with any bits of nature, go stare closely at a 1 meter square of grass and trip out on the bugs and shapes of grasses and stuff.

Literally this will make you smarter. Our brains HAVE TO HAVE this zone out time to do important stuff behind the scenes. This does not happen during sleep, it's something else.

That weird pressurized feeling you get sometimes might be your brain on no defrag.

Give your brain a Daily Dose Of De-Frag.

wait do people read first person stories and think they're the ones in the story???

Saw people talking about not liking first person, which is fair, but their reasoning was like "I would not do that" and I don't understand that mindset.

First person stories are still about a character. A character making their own decisions. First person isn't about you???? At least I thought it wasn't. What am I missing? I've always seen first person as just a more in-depth look into a character's mind and stricter POV. Not as a reader stand-in.

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.
