Q: Elvis 'Why have you waited so long to perform Live again?' 'Did you return to Live Performing because of the Phenomenal successes of Wales Singer Tom Jones and British Crooner Engelbert Humperdinck?'

Elvis: 'I like it!'
Q: 'Are you and Priscilla planning on adding to your Family?'
Elvis: 'You'll be the first to know'.
Q: 'What things do you do when you are at home at Graceland?'
Elvis: 'I ride horse back, swim and talk with the tourists hanging out at the gates'.
Q:'How does your wife feel about you being a Sex Symbol again?'
Elvis: 'I don't know... you would have to ask her'.
Q: 'Do your Wife and Daughter, Lisa Marie accompany you?'
Elvis: 'Priscilla is here,... but my Daughter is in L.A. with her Nanny'.... 'She could not make it'.
Q: 'How do you Manage to stay so Young?'.
Elvis: 'I don't know'. 'One of these days I'll probably fall apart'. 'I feel, I've just been lucky'.
Q: 'Are you tired of your present type of movie, have you grown tired of the movie plots?'
Elvis: 'Yes, I want to Change the type of Script I've been doing'.
Q: 'What kind of Scripts do you like?'
Elvis: 'Something with Meaning'.... 'I'm going after More Serious Material'. 'I couldn't dig always playing the Guy who'd get into a fight, Beat the Guy up,.., and in the Next Shot Sing to Him'.
Q: 'Do you think it was a mistake to do so many Movie Sound-Track Albums?'
Elvis: 'I think so'..... 'When you do Ten songs in a movie, they can't all be good songs'. 'Anyway',.. 'I got tired of Singing to Turtles'.
Q: 'When you met the Beatles', 'No press was allowed, why was that?'
Elvis: 'I think because we could relax more that way and we could talk Candidly'.
Q: 'Do you like to wear leather-jackets, like the one you wore in your TV-Special?'
Elvis: 'No'.... 'I hate wearing them, because they are too hot when your working'.
Q: 'Where did you get the design for your stage out-fits?'
Elvis: 'I got the idea by a Karate-gi,.. I once had'.
Q: 'What do you think of the Hollywood scene?'
Elvis: 'I just don't go for it....', 'I have nothing against it, but I just don't enjoy it'.
Q: 'How long did you rehearse for these shows?'
Elvis: 'I practised for nearly 3 months', 'Today I went through Three Complete Dress Rehersals'. 'This was the fourth time I did that show today', ... 'I'm really Beat'.
Q: 'How did you choose the songs for the show?'
Elvis: 'I just sang My Favorite Songs'.
Q: 'Do you want to do more Live Shows?'
Elvis: 'I want to ... I would like to play all over the World' ... 'I chose Las Vegas to Play First, Because it is a place People come to from All Over'.
Q: 'Are you trying to change your image with songs like 'In the Ghetto'?
Elvis: 'No, 'Ghetto' was such a great song, I just couldn't pass it up after I heard it'. 'There are a lot of New Records out now that have the same sound I started, ... But they're Better', ... 'I mean, you can't compare a song like 'Yesterday' with 'Hound Dog', ... Can You?'
Q: 'Why have you led such a secluded life all these years?'
Elvis: 'It's not secluded Honey' ... 'I'm just Sneaky'.
Q: 'Is it true you dye your hair?'
Elvis: 'Sure, I have always done it for the movies'.
Q: 'Did you enjoy performing Live again?'
Elvis: 'Yes ! ... 'This has been one of the Most Exciting Nights of my Life'.
Q: 'Did you feel nervous during the show?'
Elvis: 'For the First Three songs or so, I didn't feel relaxed until after Love me Tender before I loosened up' ... 'Then I Thought, What The Heck ... Get With It Man!, or you might be out of a Job Tomorrow'.
Q: 'Do you have a share in the International Hotel?'
Elvis: 'No, I have not'.
Q: 'Why did you choose a Negro backup group?:
Elvis: 'They help get a feeling and get to my soul'.
Q: 'Have you ever seen England's top singer, Cliff Richard?'
Elvis: 'Yes, I met him in Germany a long time ago'.
[Elvis was mistaken, he did not meet Cliff, but Cliff did try to meet Elvis, he visited one of Elvis' residences in Germany but unluckily for Cliff, Elvis was not home. Possibly Elvis was told the story and these years later miss-remembered the story. Memory does play tricks on people.]
Q: 'Mr. Presley',.. 'I've been sent here by 'Lord Sutch Enterprises' "To offer you One Million Pounds Sterling to make Two Apperances at the Wembley Empire Stadium in England',.... 'This Price will include a Documentary that will be Filmed during and after the Shows'. 'It will Only Take 24 Hours'.
Elvis: (Elvis points to Col.Parker) 'You'll have to ask him about that'.
Colonel Parker: 'Just put down the desposit'.
Elvis: 'Elvis, how much do you get paid for these performances?'
Colonel Parker: 'We are pleased with the deal. I am glad He is Here'.
Q: 'Is it true you get paid in International-stocks?'
Colonel Parker: (Parker Speaks up again) 'Certainly not'.... 'The only thing we get for Free are the Crickets in the Rooms'.
Q: 'Do you still own about 10 cars?'
Elvis: 'I have never owned that many'.... 'Only 4 or 5 at most'.
Q: 'Elvis is there any Other Individual You would Rather Be?'
Elvis: 'Are you Kidding?
Q: What’s it like to be the Grandfather of rock and roll?
(laughs). I didn’t know that I was.
Q: Are you doing shows because of the recent success of Tom Jones in cabaret?
No, that’s not the reason. Although I admire Tom Jones very much, and think he’s a great talent. I guess I felt it was time to do live shows because I missed doing them.
Q: I noticed in your repertoire you did some Beatles songs. What do you think of the Beatles and their material?
I admire the Beatles and think they are very good. The lyrics of pop songs are getting better all the time, they have more meaning.
Q: When you met the Beatles, why was there no press allowed?
I guess it was because we could relax and talk friendly to each other.
Q: Did anyone influence you in your career?
Yes, people like him. (Elvis introduces Fats Domino). This is one of my influences from way back, Fats Domino. Just look at those rings and that diamond watch, aren't they fabulous?
All color candid photo's here taken at Elvis Presley's 1969 vegas press conference.

a while ago i made a post about Mello and Near potentially having hooked up during the canon timeline, and @optimisticgardenhologram pointed out some very interesting details in canon that potentially suggest that they met up (i strongly encourage you to go look at the original post!! i'm just here to verify the observations, not take credit for them). so i looked into them and i can confirm, there is absolutely enough evidence to suggest that they saw each other outside of the chapter 77 reunion.
Observation #1
this one was from chapter 97. Near states that the Death Note is "an ordinary notebook, just like Mello said":
but Mello never says this at all. i went out of my way to note down the exact phrasing of every piece of information Mello gives Near in canon:
"The murder notebook. It's a Shinigami's notebook, and people who touch it are able to see the Shinigami." (chapter 77)
"The notebook I had belonged to a Shinigami named Sidoh, who dropped it in the human world. He had to come down to get it back. But another Shinigami had it before." (chapter 77)
"There is a fake rule hidden amongst the rules written in the notebook." (chapter 77)
"I actually had a bunch of guys test the notebook a number of ways, but nobody who wrote the names down died after thirteen days." (chapter 79)
nothing there states that the Death Note is an ordinary notebook, nor is it even remotely implied. there are three possible explanations i can think of for this. one, Mello and Near met up sometime between November 19th and January 7th. two, Mello mentioned it on the phone during the three days they spent interrogating Mogi. three, Mello told Halle and she relayed this information to Near. Gevanni does not seem to question it when Near mentions it, which suggests either it's one of the latter two options or the SPK is aware of the meeting(s) Near had with Mello. all very plausible.
Observation #2
Near tells Light after Takada is kidnapped that he has a way of getting in touch with Mello. this one i do remember so i didn't go looking for it, but it does potentially imply that they've been contacting each other. he does say "i can try to contact Mello", in which the use of "i" would suggest that he personally would be the one to reach out (as opposed to him using Lidner to contact Mello), but he IS talking to Light, so he could just be intentionally keeping things vague.
Observation #3
this one imo is the most damning. Near's puppet of Mello has a quilted vest:
but the vest he wears when he visits Near is different:
here is the quilted vest, for comparison:
technically Mello's jacket is covering most of the vest in his scenes with Near, so you could assume it actually was the quilted vest and wasn't textured for the sake of simplicity - but Near wouldn't have had a clear view of it then either, and presumably if this was the only outfit he ever saw of Mello's, then he would draw the jacket onto the puppet too.
i think it would be too much of a coincidence for him to guess that Mello owns this exact vest. it would also seem odd to me if Mello and Near somehow ended up discussing Mello's clothes during the Mogi interrogation, and Mello mentioned that he owns a quilted vest. the same is true of Near speaking to Lidner; she COULD theoretically have told Near about the vest, but it seems like a bizarre detail to mention, and a particularly bizarre thing for Near to add to the puppet if he's never personally seen it. so i definitely think it implies that they saw each other again.
the first time i can find the Mello puppet in the manga is in chapter 94, which takes place on December 25, but the rest of the puppets appear as early as chapter 85, which takes place on December 1st. so if the Mello puppet was made around the same time as the others, they would have had to meet up during the Mogi interrogation to make it work; otherwise it could have happened while they were in Japan.
as a bonus side note, i looked through the entire manga and i actually couldn't find the quilted vest at all outside of the official art - granted i only had a quick skim-through so i could've easily missed an appearance, but i went back and checked this iconic post and it does not appear there either. so perhaps this is a special occasion vest for him (the two special occasions being posing for the official art and meeting up with Near; the most important things a man could ever do in his life).
in conclusion, there is a strong case to be made for Mello and Near having met up at least once in canon, which allows for plenty of speculation regarding the events that transpired during that meeting. thank you so much @optimisticgardenhologram for bringing these up!! this was very insightful :-)

This is probably me clowning but I cant help but go 👀👀👀👀 for those rainbow details on both of dad's outfits on this auspicious 1st day of pride.
I'm sure his stylist chose them but I can't help but wonder how much he gets a say in what he wears to these events. Especially since I don't see many others with so many rainbow colors there (unless I missed them of course)
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
I, too, thought it was an interesting choice. They aren't Chanel pants, so they would have been chosen specifically for the outfit, likely by him and his stylist. For various reasons I explained here, I believe DD is likely pretty engaged with his fashion, maybe moreso than some other stars.
GG and DD aren't at leisure to show Pride in the ways you and I are, so I don't think we can entirely ignore 'coincidences' like this. At the same time, it might not mean anything at all.
One thing I can say for sure: I fucking love those pants. They look absolutely fantastic on him, and the overall design is amazing. I love love love them.
EDIT: Yeah, and the Chanel jacket, too.

First Day
Pre story,
It was the beginning of the new school year in Paris. It was a sunny day, perfect for the situation."So this is our new school huh? "said Marinette, staring at her school with an unreasonable expression with an even tone. She wore a blue chinese inspired shirt with a knee length brown skirt and shoes. She was still unsure about everything that happened.
"Come on sis it's not that bad. It could be fun!!" Judai pointed out, wearing a big grin on his face.He was wearing a brown jacket,a grey shirt and black pants. He was more excited about it. After all,he thought of it as an adventure. He also had a thermos full of hot chocolate.
"I hope you're right Judai."said Marinette with unease." Have I ever been wrong about something like this?"he asked confidently. She gave him a deadpan look"Do you really want me to answer that?".
Judai nervously chuckled"Fair point sis"he admitted.
They entered the building. Compared to their old school it was more new looking. It was also pretty large which made it easier to get lost. Finally they reached their new class room. There were a few students already there .
"Hey guys"Said a girl in a pink dress who waved to him. "Rose!!!"Judai grinned, happy to see the blonde girl. "How are you doing Lavillent?"Marinette asked, also happy to their friend.
"It's amazing!!!"she replied. "Everyone here is super nice except well... "She stops with her expression dulling a bit
She noticed it and asked"Should we be worried about something?" Rose kept quiet"It's nothing"
The twins go to their seats. They went to the 1st row to sit down.
" So you're the new kids, huh?"a boy beside them asked. He had a red baseball hat and wore glasses. He was in a black shirt with green pants.
"Yep!!! Name's Judai Yuki and the grumpy butt is my sister Marinette Cheng!" Judai answered with a smile. Marinette in contrast simply said "Hello" to the boy
The boy responded "Nice to meet you dudes! I'm Nino Lahiffe. "He said with a grin."Also fair warning about that seat. You dudes should think about moving"he warned.
"Why's that?"Marinette asked."Because you are in my seat, losers!!!" a blonde girl with sunglasses on her head said with a rude tone. She was in a white dress with a black belt and high heels. She looked annoyed with the duo.
"Sorry man, didn't know that seat was already taken."Judai said, genuinely apologetic about what happened. He rose to get up with Marinette doing the same.
The girl smiled at them smugly"Good you know your place. Now scram losers!! I swear this school has no standards"
They went to another seat. Marinette stared at her"Well she seems like something.."
"Yeah, that was Chole . She's the mayor's daughter and kind of a pain"Nino explained. "Best to avoid her"
"Thanks for the advice Lahiffe" Marinette said instantly wary of the blonde.
"It doesn't sound too hard"Judai added"We just stay out of her way. Plus this place seems easy to handle". Little did he know how wrong his words were
. Throughout the day Chole made it her mission to mess with them. The worst prank was the bubble gum in the locker key hole and the inside of a locker. That one was as annoying as it was in a way impressive.
Even not counting Chole, the day was still not a good one. They kept getting late to their classes and were pretty unprepared for the day. The only saving grace was lunch .
By the end of the day,the twins were tired.
"Pretty easy to handle, huh Judai?"Marinette said her voice, dripping in sarcasm. "I said I was wrong Mar"Judai said defeated by the day. "Buy hey"He countered"It wasn't all bad .After Rose is here and Nino seems pretty cool."
Marinette nodded in agreement "Touche ,but right now I just want to go home and get some designs done"
"Amen to that"
As they walked to the exit, someone bumped into Judai, making him spill some of his drink. Thankfully it was cold but unfortunately it landed on Chole.
"YOU!!!" She exclaimed to anger, looking at him. You'll pay for this Yuki!!" Judai sighed thinking "This is going to suck". Marinette meanwhile glares at her.
Later
Sabine Cheng smiled."Welcome home, how was your day you two?" she smiled hoping it was good.
"Well it was something plus I kinda have someone who hates my guts, so yeah"Judai shrugged.

Tell the class about Katherine's many outfits👀 /nf ofc
Okay take notes class, this is Part 2 of me talking about Katherine's outfits
Part 1
Part 3
Part 2 - Broadway, National Tour and Proshoot
1st Outfit: Carrying the Banner to I Never Planned On You
This outfit is gorgeous. A third purple outfit, a little more experimental than her original walking dress. The cropped jacket is a very cute touch, and whilst they're subtle you can see the leg o'mutton sleeves that were commonplace at the time. Her jacket and skirt are patterned now, with a mostly pink trim, and she no longer wears a hat. Her tie-pin is smaller and her brooch is gone, but I feel with this more decorative jacket a brooch would be a bit much. The belt appears glittery/sequinned, however, which wouldn't have been likely back then.
2nd Outfit: The Deli to Seize The Day
This outfit is near identical to the Paper Mill version. The waistcoat is single-breasted now and short cut, sitting at her waist instead of her hips. Her shirt is pastel-striped with an upturned collar, and she no longer wears her tricorne. This is very much a business outfit.
3rd Outfit: King Of New York to Pulitzer's Office
Katherine has a habit of combining patterns, and this outfit shows it best; she's good at making it work, however. Her skirt has a very subtle plaid pattern, and her shirt is striped peach, light brown and pale grey with a wide collar. Her belt (which is buckled, unlike her others) and bow are a matching shade of teal, and break up the warmer colours of the rest of her outfit. This is one of her most experimental outfits, indicating Katherine has quite a unique sense of fashion for the time.
4th Outfit: Something To Believe In to The Finale
By now I'm sure you've noticed that Katherine is a fan of bright colours. Her skirt is pink with purple trim, and her shirt is off-white with a floral pattern and a lacy sailor collar. The leg o'mutton sleeves are a little more prominent here than in earlier outfits, and she's back to wearing a fabric belt- which whilst blue like her bow, is not the same shade. This is Katherine Pulitzer, no longer hiding her identity. Although a bit loud this is an elegant outfit a woman of her status would wear, more likely at home than out and about like her walking dress from the start of the show.

Spring brings us together Ch.1
It's JinHwoa (Top!Jin Kazama and Bottom!Hwoarang)
It's like school AU? I'm not sure lol.
this is translated from Thai. sorry if some words is wrong.
---------------------------------------------------
Today is the first day of the 1st semester.
Jin just entered his first year of high school. He was going to attend the orientation ceremony. But he got lost instead.
The young man wore an oversized black gakuran and a hat. Maybe his mother was worried about the extra size. Jin thought and laughed to himself.
He kept walking. and stopped under a big cherry blossom tree
".....?"
He noticed someone. Wear a cute, fluffy maid outfit. The reddish-brown hair caught his eye, making him want to know who this person was.
But when the maid turned around, he was surprised.
'...a man..?'
A young man about the same age as Jin. He didn't look like someone who should wear such a cute outfit, frowning. Walking forward, grumpily, towards Jin.
"Hey you.... You study at Mishima Academy, right?"
He looked at the badge on Jin's hat.
"Oh..eh? That's right....why?"
The red-brown haired boy frowned even harder.
"....Don't you dare telling someone at the school that I wear this outfit!”
He poked Jin's forehead with his finger once. and walked back Head to the maid cafe not far from there.
Jin blinked and looked after him.
"........What?"
---------------------------------------------------
Jin finally found his way to the school. Even it's almost too late. It's good that he reserved a lot of time. So he came in time.
while attend orientation ceremony , Jin secretly frowned when he saw the school director who had come to speak was.
Who else? It was his grandfather.
The boy yawned slightly. He wanted to sleep but couldn't. So he could only sit and listen to his grandfather's instead.
---------------------------------------------------
Upon coming out of the conference room Jin was surprised because he met his childhood friend.
“Xiaoyu?”
The girl looked happy and waved at Jin.
"Jin~! What a pity. It's like we're not in the same room."
She looks sad
"...Ah...I'm in class 1-A...What about you?" Jin asked.
Xiaoyu smiled.
"I'm in class 1-B..."
Jin nodded lightly in response.
Before the two of them heard a slight commotion.
“I told you, Hwoa-rang! Spell like this...Steve!"
This voice Jin had heard before.
"Haha, sorry, sorry, my friend."
Another voice replied, apologizing and laughing.
Jin and Xiaoyu turned to look.
A blond-haired young man who appeared to be an exchange student was arguing with a red-brown-haired young man.
"..That's...the person I met this morning..."
Jin muttered to himself.
The red-brown haired boy was no longer wearing a maid uniform. He wore Gakuran like Jin. But don't just button up his jacket.
Xiaoyu looked surprised.
"That must be the exchange student from room 1-C.."
As far as she knows Foreign exchange students will be in class C.
Jin seemed especially interested in the red-brown haired young man. Thinking about the morning's incident and how he was told to keep the secret of the other person wearing a maid's uniform again.
But then there was an announcement for all the students to disperse and go meet the homeroom teacher. Jin and Xiaoyu then separated.
---------------------------------------------------
Until the end of the day Jin intended to travel back home.
He came to a path with a large cherry blossom tree again. and looked towards the spot where he had seen the brown-haired young man dizzy that morning.
"......"
But then I had to be startled.
"Hey...What are you doing here?"
He was poked
Turning around , he met the young man he was thinking of.
"You....? The maid that I met this morning..."
A young man with red-brown hair twitched his eyebrows.
"Can you just forget it...?"
His cheeks were slightly red. Look away to cover up his embarrassment.
Jin noticed that the other person was wearing the same school uniform as him.
"You also study at Mishima..."
Jin muttered, but the other man heard him.
"Yes...and I have to go do some part time job... See you later."
A young man with reddish brown hair walked past Jin and waved his hand without looking back.
"Wait!...What's your name?"
Jin shouted and called out to the other man.
The young man turned around and gave him a small smile.
"...Hwoarang...what about you?"
He doesn't know why, but when he saw that smile, Jin felt strangely glad...
"Kazama Jin...."
Hwoarang nodded and walked away, heading towards the maid cafe that Jin had seen this morning.

Neutralised (1994): S01 E01 [1/5]
(Meant to be read like a TV show, or the description of a TV show)
Warnings: Shitty writing (I'm rusty on television writing), death & dead bodies, 90s fashion decisions (can you tell I don't know what to mention), misunderstandings & perceived abuse, cheesy nicknames, violence & Swearing.
2000 ish words. Please tell me if you want to be tagged.
~~💀💀~~
The scene opens on a graveyard at dawn, a figure holds a shovel and attempts to dig, but the ground is too cold and hard. Next to him is a completely black golf-cart type vehicle.
A small subtitle appears at the bottom of the screen, it reads 'January 1st 1994, Chicago, Illinois'.
As the camera gets closer to the figure we can see them in more detail, blonde hair and glasses wearing a denim shirt and jeans under a dark brown winter coat, along with black boots, the faint hint of stubble colours his jawline in a tint of gold. This is Caleb 'Cal' willow, head grave-digger, 32 years old, British-American, six-foot tall and good-looking even though he doesn't wish to be anyone's eye-candy.
The figure (Cal) stops, leaving the shovel standing straight up in the frozen ground as he leans on it and looks towards something off-camera.
The camera shifts to behind the man in denim and we see truck, a beat-up, old, purple, 1989 Ford F-150.
The shot gets closer and the couple in the car are suddenly clearer.
The man in the driver's seat is hefty and has a smug smirk on his face, his leather jacket covers a stained off-white tank-top, a baseball cap covers most of his curly brown hair, except for the week-old beard and puts his blue eyes in shadow. This is Lance Carter, an electrician, 30 years old, originally from Mississippi, six-foot-two and a former college athlete.
"You gotta stop trippin' over yer feet, Mona." He grumbles as he leans over to kiss the woman.
The woman, 'Mona' is paler than her lover, light blonde hair, styled into bangs and a ponytail, and bright blue eyes contrast with her black painted lips and dark crimson eyeshadow, her red V-neck sweater vest and black long-sleeve shirt show a hint of cleavage and a black heart necklace. Her bangs barely hide a poorly covered bruise from that earlier morning. This is Monday 'Mona' Duke, the youngest grave-digger, 26 years old, born and raised in Eloia, five-foot-one and deceptively lean.
"I'll try not to, my Lancelot. I'ma go hand Cal his coffee, I love you and I'll see you later." Mona whispers, kissing his cheek and pulling away to get out of the truck.
Mona takes a set of three paper cups and a black satchel bag with her, the camera shifts to show her walking, with a slight but noticeable limp on her right side, towards Cal, his figure standing in the graveyard, and we see she's wearing black cargo pants and black heavy boots with inch-thick platforms on the bottom.
"Bram not here yet?" She calls as she walks over.
"Not yet, Mona, waiting for the call to say he's got religious reasons." Cal breathes out a cloud as he sighs, happily taking a cup from his female co-worker.
"We should have taken today off, but then again, you don't care about New Year's Day, and I don't want to be in the same apartment as my dumbass boyfriend."
"Go send Prince Charming away then, Princess." Cal chuckles softly.
Mona jogs back to the car, which isn't easy with her limp being made worse by the freezing weather.
"Lance, I'm at work now, you can leave."
Lance leans out of the window to kiss Mona, when they pull away a man can be seen between them, about six feet from the car.
The man is tall, broad shoulders with a black trench-coat draped over them, his pale blue jumper clashes slightly with the dark green colour of his trousers, and the maroon brown shade of his boots. His curly black hair comes to rest just above his dark brown eyes and aquiline nose, his scowling lips are framed by a neatly trimmed goatee. This is Abraham 'Bram' Machado, the tallest grave-digger, 30 years old, born and raised in Idaho, six-foot-three and easily angered.
He glares at Lance as the man drives away, his rage vanishes as he looks at Mona.
"Morning, Mona, sorry I'm late Cal… car troubles." The tallest member of the trio nervously explains, gesturing to his car parked neatly in its place, the only hint of damage is a cracked passenger window.
"Lateness I expect from Mona, not from you, Bram." Cal huffs as he once again tries to dig the frozen dirt.
Mona limps a couple paces before sitting in the black golf-cart.
"Are you doing okay, Mona?" Bram raises an eyebrow in concern, taking a swig from the final cup of coffee to hide the scowl on his lips.
She nods, taking a sip from her coffee before she turns to scan across the graveyard, her eyes widen when she spots something.
Cal gestures for Bram to put his drink down and focus on the work. Bram nods but stares at Mona as he continues working.
"Excuse me, sir," Mona starts walking towards a slumped figure, "you can't sleep out here, you'll catch your demise, mister?" She pokes the figure with her foot, dropping down to check their pulse.
Cal and Bram stop and silently watch as Mona slowly stands and starts carefully walking backwards towards them.
"Monday, are you alright?" Cal's voice waivers slightly as he starts to realise what the lady grave-digger has seen.
"Monday, come here, you shouldn't look at that. Mona, Mona come here." Bram pulls Mona towards him, making her squeak as her smaller frame collides with his chest, he shields her body with his.
Cal grabs his phone from his back pocket and dials a number, the scene starts to fade out as Cal says, "Hey, Boss…"
The next scene fades in, an office, cramped and claustrophobic.
An older gentleman, his black hair balding, short of both stature and temper, wearing an all black suit more at home in the 70s, along with black leather gloves on his hands. He sits at an old wooden desk and shakes his head as he grabs a small pile of paperwork.
"These are your witness reports," He looks at the trio, annoyed at them, "I'm not letting you three get off of work just because you found a body. Miss Duke, shift's over, I'll see you later. Out." The older man, Mr Mortimer according to the name plaque on his desk, grumbles in an Italian accent, waving the three grave-diggers out of his tiny office.
They step out into a larger room, past a young black man sitting with his feet on his desk reading 'Funeral Monthly', and through another door into what almost looks like a gothic hotel lobby. At the desk sits a larger, blond gentleman, downing an energy drink with an obvious 'I don't want to be here' attitude.
Cal strikes up a conversation with him with a casual, "Hey, King." Then the conversation fades into background noise.
"Hey, Monday… Are, are you sure you're okay, Mona?" Bram whispers as he sits down with her on one of the benches in the lobby.
"Yeah I'm fine, Bram, it's nothing I haven't seen before," She shrugs, "Lance should be here soon to take me to the café anyway." Mona's voice is a mile a minute, it's clear that this is just how she talks, fast-paced with little time to relax, as is her lifestyle.
But at the mention of Lance, Bram's soft, caring smile drops, replaced with a scowl full of hate as he hunkers down, placing his forearms against his thighs, he glares at the entrance and his jaw clenches tight, hands already balled into fists.
He's shaken from the mist of blind anger by Mona gently patting his shoulder as a gesture of thanks.
Mona heads outside, lighting up a cigarette as Bram stands, stopping himself from following her, he waits for Cal to leave first.
Bram glares at Lance as Mona kisses her boyfriend and leaves with him, Bram continues glaring until he can't see the truck anymore.
"Drop the glare, we have work to do. You can fight him when Mona isn't around him," Cal nudges Bram's arm, "c'mon Romeo."
The two men climb into the golf-cart and head back to the grave they were digging.
Meanwhile, Mona and Lance share an awkward moment of silence before Lance huffs a hefty sigh.
"Are we gonna talk about it?" He grumbles.
"What? The dead frozen guy?" Mona raises an eyebrow at the gruff tone of her boyfriend's voice.
"No, Mona. Are we gonna talk about him, the tall guy you work with?"
"Bram? What about him?" She shrugs, not understanding the question.
"He glares at me, every time I drop you off or pick you up. Hell, Mona, he glares at me when I visit you at work."
"He's just protective, it's not every day that someone shows up with bruises and a limp."
Mona checks her hairline in a compact mirror, showing the bruises, which can't be older than a week or less, she attempts to cover them with makeup and fixes her bangs to hide them again.
"I know that, but it's every time, not just today." Lance slams hard on the horn and silently mouths a couple curse words at another driver.
Mona jumps at the noise of the horn, Lance notices and takes her hand to press a reassuring kiss to the back of her palm.
"I didn't realise that, Lancelot, but pay him no attention. I'm your girl, not his." Mona whispers as Lance parks the truck.
As soon as Mona steps out of the truck, the back door of the café swings open and a young man, in white clothes and an apron, with jet black hair comes rushing out, stopping when he sees Mona and rushing over to hug her.
"Fry, down baby brother, down." Mona chuckles softly.
Fry puts his hands up and takes a step back, "Estelle's here. She's mad at Angelo."
"Why's she mad at Angelo for?"
As Mona steps through the door the camera follows her and when it swings back the screen goes black.
The scene fades back and the camera raises diagonally out of the grave Cal and Bram have been digging. Cal and Bram have both ditched their jackets by this point, Cal's denim shirt has sweat stains in the armpits. Bram is in the process of taking his jumper off, revealing a long-sleeved beige undershirt and suspenders.
"So, what's the deal with you and Mona?" Cal asks, watching as Bram's shoulders drop as he sighs.
"The deal with me and Monday," Bram murmurs as he places his jumper in the cart, "From the day she got hired, I thought me and her would be friends, or maybe more, but she doesn't see me in that way. If she truly wants Lance, then the lord better fix him fast." Bram grumbles as he avoids looking Cal in the eyes.
Cal goes to speak, falling silent as both men look towards the sound of tires screeching to a halt.
Lance's truck pulls up beside the row of headstones, the driver's side door swings open and he steps out, scowling as he looks at Cal and Bram.
The passenger door swings open and a young, golden haired man in a dark blue security uniform steps out and rushes over to Lance's side. The name tag on his chest reads 'Kane Carter'. This is Kane 'K.C' Carter, the day-shift security guard, 27 years old, the younger brother of Lance, five-foot-nine and a man who is usually late due to being a heavy sleeper.
"Piss off, Kane." Lance growls, taking off his jacket and throwing it onto the seat before slamming the car door.
"Lance, don't. Think about what Monday would want." K.C tries to push his brother towards the car as Lance storms towards the grave-diggers.
"Don't you dare." Cal whispers as he pries Bram's hand off the shovel, chucking both potential weapons in the back of the cart.
Bram stands his ground, glaring daggers at Lance as the, slightly shorter, tall man advances.

Rating SEVENTEEN's "MAESTRO" Stage Outfits (mainly Junhui & Jeonghan)
This is something completely random that I had saved as a draft for a while, but finally decided to post since "MAESTRO" promotions have officially ended. Originally, I only wrote my "review" for Junhui (my bias since PRE-debut), but then my YouTube feed got flooded with people posting about Jeonghan, so I added him in too (because for sure he'll go "inactive" by the end of the year—everybody please be nice). I keep all the stage performances in chronological order because it's easier than sorting from most to least favorite. I cannot rate all 13 members individually due to time/energy constraints @_@ (I also made the voluntary decision to take a lot of screenshots.)
DISCLAIMER: This post is very long, hence the need to put "Keep Reading". Everything is my opinion! If you prefer not to read, then at least enjoy this snippet from the encore stage from Music Bank 2024-05-10!
Or you could also watch the BTS video for "Cheers to Youth"! (I was surprised that it was released a few days early...)

M! Countdown 2024-05-02: This outfit set is the same one from the 1st part of the MV (futuristic/sci-fi theme with mostly grayscale colors). I skipped the intro part & went straight to the start of the performance. Overall, everyone looked great for the first comeback stage. This is Joshua's only time wearing full uniform bangs (with a slight perm?) that made him look completely different compared to the other stage styles.
Junhui: Nothing really stood out to me, but I do wonder if that piece of (leather?) clothing that covers his arms + shoulders is comfortable or flexible.
Jeonghan: This may sound irrelevant, but I was SO GLAD to see that his black jacket had a hood on it (even though there's no need to wear it). Since he's not really in the 1st part of the MV, this outfit probably had (at most) only 10 seconds of screen time combined. Also—during Jeonghan's final line where he turns to the side, I thought he looked like Leeteuk for a second @_@ (don't ask).
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
Music Bank 2024-05-03: This outsit set is the same one from the 2nd part of the MV (classic/elegant theme with mostly black & burgundy colors). This is one of the better sets! The only weird thing was that Wonwoo's ELECTRIC BLUE hand mic matched the stage lights, while the other hand mics were black (matches the outfits & black hair) or gold (matches blond hair).
Junhui: I'm so happy that he didn't wear the hat (from the MV) onstage because now you get to see his amazing hair & bangs! He totally looks like a (music) student at a prestigious European school during lunch break (because coats/jackets are optional when class isn't in session—don't ask how I know this).
Jeonghan: During the MV BTS video, he said that wearing this outfit + holding the conductor wand for his solo shots made him feel like he was in Harry Potter... which made me think of Professor Snape for no reason (probably because of his hair). Overall, that blended two-tone blazer & black rose brooch look amazing!
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
2024-05-04 Music Core: Not only did Josh & Vernon (aka American Line) wear shorts, but Seungkwan & Dino (aka maknae line minus Vernon & his shorts) wore baseball caps O_O (pretty hilarious though). This new all-white stage outfit set was a hit-or-miss depending on the individual, especially since some guys had short blazers. Honestly, I like DK's outfit the most because he's the only one wearing a knee-length long blazer. Wonwoo's outfit was my least favorite because his shirt had so many layers of loose fabric that were confusing to look at. I did get a good laugh out of seeing Vernon perform his 2 knee kicks (while wearing SHORTS) during his final line in the 2nd post-chorus.
Junhui: I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at, but his outfit overall is less distracting/confusing than Wonwoo's. I feel like something's missing, like maybe a blazer or vest. There are some pieces of long fabric extending from his waist, but I'm not sure if they're part of his shirt or pants (Music Core doesn't provide individual fancams).
Jeonghan: Same issue—I have no idea which garment is which. Some of the flying belts reminded me of a karate/taekwondo uniform @_@. He definitely deserved a longer blazer than what I could see. The good thing is that Music Core captured SC & Jeonghan's side performances during Seungkwan's lines during both stages.
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
2024-05-05 Inkigayo: This outsit set is the same one from the 3rd part of the MV (classic/distinguished theme again but now with mostly black & white colors). Watching this video made me realize how many more guys are wearing SHORTS &/or baseball caps for this stage. DK looks like a well-educated pirate here (yeah that made no sense). This is Joshua's BEST stage outfit with that fancy business professional attire.
Junhui: It looks like his hair is slightly permed & now a bit denser (i.e. almost no forehead visible). This outfit makes him look like a newspaper boy aspiring to become a (classical) musician. His hairstyle isn't too bad, but I would definitely make that hanging piece of fabric from his shirt shorter or tucked in better (kind of distracting when it sways during his dance parts).
Jeonghan: I have no idea what the stylists did to his hair (another perm?), but it was distracting. His outfit looks great up front, but I wish that the black garment stretched across & covered his entire back (it currently has a halter neck design). Anyway, I'll move on. ._.
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
M! Countdown 2024-05-09: This week's SHINE STAGE is a replay of last week's episode from 2024-05-02 (which is why I didn't bother including the URL), but now you have Jeonghan as the YouTube thumbnail instead of Hoshi! XD
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
Music Bank 2024-05-10: THIS IS MY FAVORITE STAGE WITH THE BEST OUTFITS EVER! Since I made fun of DK looking like a fancy pirate earlier, his outfit here makes him look like a merchant from overseas (same concept). Wonwoo also looks great with TWO (or more) sleeveless garments, & since everyone is wearing black + white without any red, his ELECTRIC BLUE hand mic doesn't out of feel place.
Junhui: Now that he's wearing a (sparkly) black jacket/blazer with a white shirt, white tie, & black pants (I call it "standard attire"), he definitely looks like the head prefect at prestigious European (music) school & about to head for his next class. Even though this outfit isn't as fancy/flashy as some previous ones, he looks especially elegant here. His hair is also back to normal! You can part of his forehead again where his bangs split!
Jeonghan: I'll never get tired of complimenting his hime-cut & ponytail that was short-lived (because he removed the hair tie during the encore). For me, it's a throwback to "Super" promotions when Jeonghan's hair was also long enough to tie up with complementary hair pins (I could go on about traditional East Asian aesthetics, but I won't). This asymmetrical black-white outfit had black ruffles near the collar that combined with the black line + leaf down his shirt leaf to form a flower. I would've made the left leather glove less bulky near the elbow (he also removed that during the encore) & extended the black fabric part on the back side (the diagonal split was a bit weird). Overall, Jeonghan looks like he could be a music teacher in Black Butler's Public School Arc (if you've watched Episode 6 where Sebastian was conducting the music students, then it'll make more sense).
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
2024-05-11 Music Core: I have mostly complaints about this one, starting with the (sky) blue denim jeans that I thought were out of place. It would've been better if the pants were made of cotton or wool instead of denim (the same color is fine). Just look at Josh! Business blazer/shirt with denim jeans? UNACCEPTABLE! >:V However, the skinny denim jeans work well for Junhui, Wonwoo, & Minghao because they're wearing long-sleeve shirts/sweaters with knee-high boots. Some of the guys wore see-through shirts (I didn't know until I read the comments), which are not my cup of tea & overall made the outfits even weirder.
Junhui: His outfit is a lot better than some of the others' outfits, but you can't really see his arm movements because he's wearing a black sweater without any white or lighter colors to contrast against (the background is also dark). Not bad, though.
Jeonghan: He's one of the few guys who wore a see-through shirt, which means I don't want to say any more than I need to about his overall OOTD. I like the white blazer & little black silk scarf, though.
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
2024-05-12 Inkigayo: This stage's outfit set is like a combined remake of some previous stage outfits, & I feel like this was a hit-or-miss again depending on the individual. I don't know & don't want to know why the stylists gave Woozi a cropped blazer. Mingyu looks cool in black-gray camouflage, though! DK looks like he has to attend basketball practice later O_O. Yeah... enough said.
Junhui: The gray pants were OK, but the shirt was something else. It looks like the sleeves are see-through while the torso is not(?). I don't really have anything more to say.
Jeonghan: No complaints! Black blazer + black shirt + black pants = perfect!
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
2024-05-16 M Countdown: Back to classy black/gray & white outfits for their goodbye stage! ("Goodbye" wasn't official, but the guys were back on tour the next weekend, & they haven't been on any of the live shows since.) This is another hit-or-miss because some of the guys had short blazers (again T^T). I have no idea what's happening with Wonwoo's sleeves, & Hoshi's blazer has a random piece of gray fabric diagonal across his chest. Yeah... I have a headache.
Junhui: Looking back, I think this is his first & only stage where he wore a blazer with lapels (the jacket from 2024-05-10 isn't considered a blazer). It looks like there are pieces of long fabric extending from his waist again. This is definitely one of his fancier stage outfits.
Jeonghan: Blazer & shirt look great, but I felt my eyes burning when I saw his asymmetrical gray-black pants (somebody get me out of here). I'll just leave it at that @_@.
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
MTV Fresh Out Live: This outfit set is fancy & also one of the better ones overall! Lots of black, white, & glitter! Everyone is literally sparkling! I wish the guys wore this set on at least one of the South Korean music show stages.
Junhui: I think only his shirt is sparkling, which is fine because most of his centered dance scenes have more arm movements than leg movements (so the sparkles move with his arms/torso).
Jeonghan = No complaints again! Black blazer + off-white shirt + off-shite silk scarf + black pants = perfect again! (the only thing glossy is his right leather glove)
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
"it's Live" Band LIVE Concert: This venue is super casual, so everyone's just wearing regular clothes. If anything, the guys could probably wear their current outfits to perform "Left & Right". Junhui's blazer has some logo on the left side that made me think of a prestigious school's uniform (clearly a recurring theme now), & seeing Jeonghan wear navy blue pinstripe is rather refreshing.
-~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e -~-~-~-~;{e |&| a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~- a};~-~-~-~-
Thanks for reading my research report! I'm not entirely sure what to expect from Jeonghan & Wonwoo's new duet CD, but just keep your fingers crossed! (there's a good amount of keyboard ASMR in the montage video, though)

SKZFLIX HM.
Here’s my skzflix theory as a relic stay, I don’t know the damn name of what type of stay. Im the bitch who listened to 42 from 3racha from back in the day and decided to stick with them.
1st. Lino died.
That’s a fact. This is from the B Me (non-existent) mv. Lino? Yeah, that dude is dead. Fight with Hyunjin after On Track. In that universe, he is dead. This I believe is the beginning of Felix's turmoil. This is the start of all the universe jumping.
2nd. Resolving conflict.
Felix wishes for nothing more than for them to get back together. This we see in OH. Perhaps OH is the in-between universe. This is where they fought but nobody died, but no one is together.
Felix begins to wish for nothing more than for them to be together.
Going back to B Me and see what the conflict was. He was examining the tape.
He fixes another universe but this time he doesn’t exist and the fight between Hyunjin and Lino doesn’t happen. I.N.makes sure Hyunjin’s place is in production but Felix replaces Lino in life (skz album for B me). At the end we see Felix where Lino started but also linking I.N. from B Me.
3rd the constants.
The constants are Han, Chan, Seungmin and Changbin.
This is intentional. Roles might be slightly different but they are there from the start of the production and more or less have the same amount of importance as before. We see Chan holding the boom stick.
We see Seungmin writing.
We see Changbin with effects.
We see Han with papers, directing
and most importantly, running. We see Han constantly chasing Lino in a sense.
Why? I don’t know. Cant be bothered at this point? Nuanced romance? Hah, I don’t trust JYPe but I wouldn’t put it past SKZ for giving the fans what they want. Am I aware of minsung? Of course I am. Been here since the tempo pacing hand holding 1st elimination survival show bullshit. Am I going to touch the subject? Yeah. They have their own private life and if they wrote that script like that, good writing on them. None of my fucking business or anyone else's. “I’ll find you in every lifetime.” my ass.
Seriously though, the heck? I'm not homophobic. I'm just chronically single. I'm just felix here.
We also have bus.
Back on topic. The other constant is Felix making sure Lino is in the production. In a way, this is his send off. “Leave” the title of the short film and I think it will be the final installment of this universe, hence the "leave" MV. Im betting on it being the short film they made.
He walks Lino down the path were Han would spot him.
Even then, the focus is on Lino and a blurry Felix.
By the end of the shoot, Felix is almost out of shot.
Lino was in the story Felix lived. “I have to go back.” Jeongin says and Felix does.
The cake.
The cake is the most simple thing. Call it catalyst or call it a cake. It the constant that links the universe and created the bridge in the first place. It’s a simple wish that both I.N. and Felix make. I.N. doesn’t want to be left out, Astronaut, and Felix was them all together. I.N. was left alone at the end of Astronaut.
Their wishes happen to coincide. This may be a stretch but in Scars, I.N. watches a star shoot across the sky.
Their wishes are parallel.
4th maintenance
I.N. is wearing Lino’s leather jacket. He is the cool guy in this one. They end it in a theater instead of a drive in cinema. They bring cake together instead of Felix alone. The setting. B Me had a lot of concrete but SKZflix has a lot of greens.
5th basketball.
The heck do I know about basketball. All I know is that there are two hoops and SKZ are not the tallest. Is this heightist? For sure but warmth I guess. Basketball was in On Track, B Me, OH and now SKZFlix.
6th. My final point in my skzuniverse theory.
The universe affected is in this order,
Grow Up - On track - B me – Oh – SKZFlix - Leave
How it is affected?
Well remember in district 9, it almost felt like SKZ were in a lab. Especially in their “I am not” era. This was only solidified in their “Yellow wood” with side effects and voices. Perhaps, I.N. and Felix are the result of this experiment. They can alter and travel universes. So HOW the universes change are via these MVs;
Levanter (step out of cle).
Astronaut (owners of cle).
Maniac.
Scars.
Cheese.
DLC.
Why did I add Cheese? Remember I.N. tied up?
Yeah he might have gone a little bit loco and needed Felix to reel him back in again. DLC is where Felix brings I.N. back to sanity and safety. In paris? Meh.
There were also hints in Venom where Lino was seen as two different people. One in the broken mirror and another walking away. Felix and I.N. are also playing chess.
Another one would be in Lonely St. were Lino is the only one that wakes up and where Felix aims the gun at his shadow.
What about "the view"? Ah that is both Felix's and I.N. dream. It is their ultimate goal but it is also a dream. There were a lot of similarities and parallel scene between blueprint and the view. This is because Felix and I.N. have their blueprint, the members, in order to build the(ir perfect) "view".
In conclusion. FINALLY B ME MV! HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN ASKING? TOO FUCKING LONG. YOU ARE LOOKING AT A STAY WHO HAS BEEN HERE SINCE THE BENINGING. IS THIS A TYPO OR REFERENCE TO A VINE, YOU DECIDE. I AM UNHINGED AND HIGH THANK YOU VERY MUCH NOW WHERE IS MY TEA.
if jype realizes this is the entire skz universe in a nutshell i might get all my social media revoked. hah, thanks tumblr isnt a real social medai. ahahahahahah.
CHEERS TO CHAOS.
Any additions or rebuttals are welcome but not always entertained. too tired to look at reblogs. Goodnight.

Against my better judgement, I played the new Pokémon game! ~ My Initial Thoughts
I wasn't feeling Pokémon Scarlet & Violet before release. The games just looked off to me. The art style, the gameplay, the characters, the world design, all of it really. Now that I some hands on time with it well... ehhh, I kinda feel the same way haha. I'm typically a pretty easy going dude that can have fun in about any game I play, but I dunno, this game just doesn't do much for me. It doesn't feel like a true Pokémon game. I've been playing since Gen 1 and yeah sure Sword & Shield wasn't perfect, but I still had an enjoyable time with them. Here's the key points I noticed in my time with the game.
Character Customization:
Character customization is a HUGE driving factor for me in video games. Pokémon SwSh had amazing trainer customization aside from the gym battle uniforms. Now imagine being forced to wear the gym uniform through the entire game! That's Scarlet and Violet. In SwSh I could dress my character up in so many cool outfits and that was probably my favorite aspect of that game. In Scarlet & Violet, you can only change accessories and shoes, no changing your outfit... you're stuck with that ugly school uniform the ENTIRE game! All you get is 4 seasonal styles of the same school crap. I just want my leather biker jacket and ripped jeans, darn it!
Character Designs & Art Style:
Pokémon games always had hit or miss characters for me. Typically there's more characters that I like than dislike in a game, but not really the case for Scarlet & Violet's characters. Nemona's pretty cool though, I do like her, but lotta of them feel boring and fall kinda flat for me. And to be completely honest some of them give me nightmares...
Then there's the actual art style. I don't really think Pokémon needed alpha transparency hairstyles. The solid meshed style fits better in my opinion. Feels like they tried adding some realism to the graphics with alpha hairs and more detailed skins & eye textures, but its still kinda toony looking, so its like this off putting in between style.
The World:
From what I saw, the world didn't really feel very believable or all too well designed. Just tons of huge mountains and steep cliffs. Not necessarily the prettiest scenery in a 2022 video game. None of the towns or anything really stuck out to me neither. Again, the whole thing feels kinda bland.
The Pokémon:
Not much to say on the Pokémon as every generation has had some weird designs after all. Heck even 1st Gen had some weird Pokémon that I still question today. For the most part, I did like majority of the new ones. Wish the cat starter didn't stand on TWO LEGS though! Lets please try to keep them animalistic and less humanoid GameFreak. Oh, also I played Scarlet. I wanted to play Violet with the Tron bike Pokémon, but instead I had the Flintstones one... still don't understand why does it have wheels if it just runs with it's legs instead?
Terastallization?/ The Gimmick:
Every Pokémon game since 6th gen has to have a gimmick these days. 6th Gen had Mega Evolutions, 7th Gen had Z-Moves, 8th Gen had Dynamax/ Gigantamax, and now 9th Gen's got Terastallizing? Basically your Pokémon goes into a crystalized form... boring! My personal favorite is still Mega Evolution. Having your Pokémon transform into a powerful 4th evolution temporarily was awesome. It was basically Pokémon's version of Super Saiyan 4 and I loved it.
Rushed development?!
The game was rushed and the internet's been tearing it to shreds because of that. Bugs, glitches, a complete mess. Not much I can add to that. I don't put all the blame GameFreak for that, since I'm sure there's factors out of their control for pushing the game out within the given deadlines, but seriously I feel like Pokémon games are coming out too frequently. As Miyamoto once said, "A delayed game is eventually a good game, but a bad game is bad forever."
The Good/ Open World & Multiplayer:
Lotta negatives, but hey, some positive things too! The open world, I loved it. I love being able to immediately pick where I want to go right after I start my journey. Which Gym do I challenge first or if I even want to do Gym battles or pursue a different goal entirely like hunt down the Titans or wipe out Team Star. Now that I like! Also the Multiplayer! While I didn't get to check it out myself, I know how it works. Being able to form a group with friends and explore the world together. That's a huge step in the right direction and how I wished it was in Sword & Shield.
Final Thoughts
All-in-all, I wanted to give the game a chance and I'm glad I did, but it just doesn't hook me personally. I'm not trying to sound negative with the game, but I do feel like Pokémon is losing itself as a series. A trend I've been noticing more and more with each passing year. Not just Pokémon in specific, but tons of series that go on too long begin to weaken and water down with time. Ideas run stale, monotonous, and begin to lose their luster. Too many IPs are being milked these days until there's nothing left. That's why there's been so many remasters, remakes, and even reboots happening now. They need more spacing/ time between releases.
TL;DR Game's a bit of a mess, but knowing that it's still worth trying for yourself. Maybe you will enjoy it. I have friends who are and I'm glad they're having fun. For me though, I'll be passing on this one.

Chapter One: 321
March 1999
Galadriel
The first time I ever stepped foot on a red carpet was at the nineteen ninety-nine Oscars. I was ten.
In my opinion, it was strange stepping onto the red carpet amongst those who were clamoring to get pictures of those who had already established themselves as powerhouses on the stage. Then there was me, gripping tightly to my brother's suit jacket as he stood and dazzled by simply smiling. There was nothing he could do to make the cameras stop flashing, or the people to stop screaming his name. I don't think he would if he could.
I remember the feeling of panic, my heart beating a mile a minute inside my chest as I did my best to remember what Mother had taught us. Smile at the camera, stand straight, and pose properly. I wanted to grasp at my chest and clutch the sequined fabric of the strappy black dress Mother had permitted me to wear. But instead, I forced a smile on my lips and let the cameraman snap picture after picture. I had asked to be here. In fact, I had demanded to join Finrod at the premier, if only to know why my big brother was permitted out on a school night. Never mind that he was nearly thirty, or that his filmography had begun the same year that I was born. I didn't care about the contractual obligations or the fact that it was some boring ceremony.
I wanted my brother.
So I swallowed the bile in my throat. I breathed just like Dr. Celebrimbor had taught me to, inhaling and exhaling through my nose, the smile plastered on my face. I moved when Finrod subtly tapped my shoulder with his index finger. I said nothing. I was the picture-perfect adornment to my brother's accomplishments.
"— there's no one I'd want more at my side than my sister, especially for my first Oscar win," Finrod says with a surety that draws me out of my focused haze. I look up at him, maintaining my soft smile as I try to play catch up. Someone, a reporter, was asking him questions about me. He was moving the conversation away. To this day, I don't know whether or not he was doing it for my sake or his. But the way he spoke, it was both Finrod and not Finrod. His voice, naturally soft and sweet around me, had taken a deeper tone. His words were drug out of his mouth as if over coals, the sweet man I knew giving way to someone pretending. At the time, I was struck by his ability to meld so effortlessly into this character for this stage that wasn't a stage. Now I know what it really is. It wasn't a character, but just another part of me that he hadn't allowed me to see.
Finrod won the Oscar that night. Best Actor for his role in A Beautiful Life. I never watched the film, so you may imagine my surprise when the clip of my brother, dressed like a soldier, crying over what I can only assume was a corpse. It was gut-wrenching. My brother didn't even glance at me, instead standing as the cameramen came by, filming his trek to the stage.
I know some will fault me for it, but I don't remember his speech. I'm sure he thanked me, Mother, perhaps his director and the crew of the film. And all the while I stared at a man so different from the one I'd known.
The rest of the ceremony was quick. I even smiled at the screenings of The Egyptian Prince. I held my brother's hand, and it almost felt like we were at home again, watching recaps of Finrod's competition win awards he wanted. Except, this time Finrod was holding his trophy in a death grip, refusing to let the stage managers hold it for a second longer than necessary. He wasn't nominated for any more awards. Still, we sat through the whole thing. I gripped my brother like a vice, desperate for him to look at me. He gripped his trophy like it was the last thing he'd ever do.
The afterparty is the best and worst thing that ever happened to me.
I know it's selfish to frame it that way, in the context of how I felt rather than the tragedy that happened. But, that is how I can stomach to think of it. Finrod was supposed to take me straight home after the ceremony. He was supposed to tuck me into bed before absconding to whatever afterparty it was that he was invited to. But he'd taken one look at me in the car and changed the whole plan.
"You didn't have fun, did you?" He wasn't asking, not really. Stating a fact in the form of a question to shove the blame, the responsibility, off onto someone else. I shook my head. There was little fun to be had, I'd thought. He huffed a laugh, little more than an exhale of his breath as he cracked a smile. It was as if he'd read my mind. "Then I'll take you somewhere fun. Don't tell mom and dad."
Somewhere fun was the home of Círdan Nowë. The most I'd heard of him at this point was how much of a powerhouse he was. An experimental director of contemporary romance. A man deeply attached to his craft, whose only breaks came in the form of lavish parties after boring awards were bestowed upon him. He'd won three awards that night, for best picture, best director, and best screenplay adaptation in his retelling of Shakespeare's Lover. We'd watched it in my English class the year before. I questioned his decision to write it in iambic pentameter, and my teacher told me that writing in the language of the subject was an intimate way to know the subject.
I hated it.
The home we visit is more impressive than Father's. Círdan lives atop one of the tallest hills in Beverly Hills. The home is Spanish-colonial inspired, but I can't help but stare at the widescreen TV, even as the living room fills with strangers trampling over imported terracotta brick. I get lost as soft music plays over speakers I don't see, Finrod sets a movie on that I'd loved, and he disappears.
Sometimes I think about whether or not watching that film made me a bad sister. I debate it heavily, day in and out. Would the outcome have changed if I'd followed Finrod to the den upstairs? Would anything have changed if I simply asked him to take me home? Would I still have an innocent view of these Hollywood circles if my brother had lived through the night?
These are questions we'll never know the answer to.
Some pop song is playing on the speakers, and I sit close enough to Círdan Nowë's television that my mother would've scolded me. She would've said I was going blind, that the TV would rot my brain and Finrod should never have sat me in front of it. But, like the child I was, I was enamored with the animated screen. King of Lions II shows the love story I wanted but could never fully imagine at my young age. The party fell away from my consciousness, mesmerized as I was.
The film ended sometime near one in the morning. I find myself thinking back to the gaudy clock above Círdan's refrigerator. It was loud, and it was the first thing I could see as I walked through the home to find Finrod. The party was in full swing, packed to the brim as celebrities I didn't recognize and wouldn't remember danced and drank. There were plenty of bodies around me, moving in sync to a beat that I couldn't name, nor would I want to. The bodies melded into one, just a constant swarm around me. I wondered then if this was what it was like to be drunk. If the loss of balance I felt could be attributed to the men, and women, who surrounded me with their glasses full of drinks I couldn't begin to know about. None of the other guests seemed that interested in me, or the fact that I was there at all.
Eventually, I make my way into the den. I wish I hadn't.
In fact, walking into the den felt like walking while the world was tilted on its axis. Six people were surrounding my brother's body. Six people who were panicked. Six people who couldn't save him. They were on the floor. Or, at least, Finrod was. The rest were around him. One man was fanning him, and another was attempting CPR. I stood, frozen, staring at them. The man giving CPR was jerking so hard with each movement, that I thought he would break Finrod's ribs. The one fanning him was sweating so much, I knew he was sweating into my brother's mouth. The ceiling fan did nothing to help.
The only one to notice me was the man pacing. Or I thought he was a man. He was tall, towering over me as went back and forth some feet in front of me. His hair was long, flopping around his skull in the way that the girls in my class seemed to squeal over. Except his hair was damp with sweat as he paced, clinging to his head in a way that forced his ears to stick out unnaturally. When he looked at me, hazel eyes bore into my soul, and I was lost.
I don't remember much of what else happened after that. What I do remember haunts me. I remember when my body finally felt like moving, my legs stumbling over each other as I began to move towards him. I remember a strong arm around my waist, tugging me back from him. I remember beginning to scream.
The paramedics pronounced Finrod Noldor dead at three fifty-nine in the morning. My parents arrived at the mansion at four fifteen. Frantic doesn't begin to describe them. They were hysterical, screaming and crying at the paramedics. As if being louder than God will bring my brother back.
Then they saw me, holding on to a pillow some stranger had given me in lieu of holding my brother. I haven't seen my mother do this since, but an eerie calm came over her as she came to me. She knelt in front of me, hand reaching out to brush the tears away from my eyes. I know many of the headlines in the following months would claim my mother spoke to me. That she had said some words of profound wisdom that somehow made the events of that evening alright. I regret to inform you that nothing of the sort happened. Mother cried. I cried. All that happened that night was a family, broken by accident, clinging onto the shards of each other in our grief.
My brother was dead at twenty-nine years old, just eight days before his thirtieth birthday. We were supposed to go on a vacation to Italy. Instead, we buried him. Looking back there were nearly two thousand people at the funeral. I only recognized eight of them. The faces of the two living brothers, my parents, and four of the six faces who surrounded my brother as he died. My hazel-eyed man was nowhere to be found.
I only claim March twenty-first as one of the best nights of my life because I was able to see the bigger picture of my brother. I saw the man, flawed and all, and at the end of the night, I still loved him. At the end of it all, he was my brother. For his flaws, there were also blessings. And for one, glorious night, I lived with both.
I took up the guitar that same year. My parents were so concerned, at first. They worried I would be sucked down into the same future as my brother. That I was trying to emulate him with the talents that I did have. I was never much of an actress, but music filled my soul. It was the balm that a loving embrace and all the condolences in the world couldn't mimic. The only thing that stopped the nightmares. I'd fall asleep listening to Stevie Wonder. I'd brush my teeth to Nirvana. Those lyrics let me fall into my grief and love without forcing me to say the words outright. Of course, at ten and eleven, I didn't know how to express that part of me. I just knew I wanted to feel without feeling, and the guitar helped me do it.
On the one-year anniversary of my brother's death, I wrote my first song. It wasn't any good. It had a terrible rhyme scheme, and the flow of the words did not match the tune I was going for. Some phrases were downright non-sensical, only placed to fill a void. It wouldn't be for several more months before I wrote something halfway decent. Years before I wrote something that actually properly conveyed the grief I felt.
On the four-year anniversary of Finrod's death, I released the song on Napster.
321. It was technically a country song, a fake southern twang dropped into my words as cursed the devil and hollered at the injustices of the world. I curse his name and I wonder if he'll take me. I hug the grave of the love stolen from me. And I wonder if the devil knows I'm coming for his neck. It was juvenile. The words were still clumsy of a girl who didn't know what she was doing or why, but the passion came with it.
It was reported on by the same people who covered Finrod's death. TMZ called our house a minimum of ten times over the two months after the song was released. Mother never answered.
Three months after the song, I received a letter. Though, I guess you could say that's not really true. Mother had thrown away all mail addressed to me that didn't involve school or early-college brochures. I normally ignored it, simply relying on her to know what's best. But something that night had told me to look, and on top of the pile in the trash, was a letter from Sauron. There was no last name. His handwriting was jagged, looped, and off-kilter in the worst of ways. It had taken me three full days to decipher it. When I did, I cried for a week straight.
Dear Galadriel, I know this letter may seem strange. In honesty, I have been trying to write this for over four years now. But every attempt rings hollow in its execution. I know you have no idea who I am, and for reasons you will learn, my true name will not be attached to this letter, for I am a coward. One who can't confess to you fully what I have done, lest you hate me for the rest of eternity for my mistake. I was there, in 1999, March 21. I was in Círdan's den, where we had gathered to partake in the joys of party revelry. I was the one who brought the cocaine. It's a mistake I will regret for the rest of my life. I was nineteen, stupid, and naive. It should've been me carted away. I didn't write this to make you upset, though I know you probably don't believe me. I only wrote this to let you know that I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry for the pain I've caused you, and your family. I'm sorry I was ever there at all. Sauron

<<how long?>>
"Most likely a couple of hours at most."
<<Scrap...>>
(Wyrdo's eye turned into a layer of red upon hearing this news then sighs as it blinks back to its usual blue hue)
<< I guess I have to wait here then in order to talk to gym leader here...>>>
"Oh you mean Anastasia? I am taking a guess she can help you with your Predicament?"
(The nurse looks at the robot's damaged parts before looking back to the functioning head)
<<correct i was told by a fisherman that she can fix me up somehow despite my strange components.>>
Well I cannot help you find her or get to her since I do need to still care for the other Pokémon here.
<<I am aware sadly...Arc how can this get any worse?>>
Meanwhile outside...
"Well crud baskets as if the swarms of yanmega while clearing out the junk weren't bad enough, we got almost washed by a trainer while y'all were in bad shape."
(A female human with dark teal hair that resembles Rs, wearing a black newsboy cap that shadows a part of her face, with a torn yellow scarf that covers her neck, a dark grey turtleneck and skirt with silver gloves with the index being left opened, with a teal bomber jacket and silver boots.)
"At least we can now rest up for the day and get our pay's worth for the quick job right ya 2?"
(The 2 Pokémon both cheered in agreement)
"Well this day can't get any worse than whatever happened today now can it? Anyways let's get inside."
(They all entered inside and immediately the woman see something on the counter of the center healing machine area and then looks at a robot head, at the same time the robot's head hopped their head around and sees a female human in their POV. Both look in shock and confusion as they say the names of each other in sync)

have finally unearthed the web!martin au content, my god........this is the page of not-memes, some of them are very old and some are new lmao - i do have a semi-serious au in my head -- details of au under the cut after ID (it's a little long lol)
[Start ID: Multiple comics of Jon and Martin from the Magnus Archives where Martin is an avatar of the Web. Jon is a thin Persian man with dark curly hair and a beard. Martin is a fat mixed Polish/Korean man with glasses and a beauty mark under his lip, he has shoulder length dark hair with a streak of white in his bangs.
1st comic: Martin is looking down at a pack of cigarettes in his hand and has a cigarette hanging in his mouth. He is wearing a cardigan with a simple shirt underneath. Jon looks at him with a captured expression, a light blush on his cheeks, and holds his spider web detailed lighter out. He asks, "E-er, do you n-need a light?" Jon's hair is slicked back and he is wearing a business shirt. Martin has the now smoking cigarette pointed down to Jon's lighter and is looking up with a coy expression, saying "Hehe, do you like spiders or something?"
2nd comic: Martin is looking to the side with a blush across his face, saying "U-um". A spiderweb behind him is shaped in a heart and there are multiple hearts floating around him. He is wearing a simple sweater with a jacket that has pockets in the front. Next, it shows a spiderweb with "Jon" spelt out in it with a huge heart below the name. Next, Martin is blushing intensely with wide eyes, eight of them on his face, and his mouth is hanging open with two fangs. He is holding his hands stretched out, each end pointed into a claw. Blink is written next to him. Next, a simplified Martin is swatting at the spiderweb, screaming "Aaaargh!". A couple spiders are flying off.
3rd comic: Jon is crawling on the floor through a doorway, a rug with a spiderweb pattern outside the doorway. He is shouting, "I'm going to the Institute even if I have to crawl my way there, Martin!!". His hair is short and he's does not have a beard, he is wearing a business shirt and green tie. Next, a pair of claws grip Jon's waist and he grabs onto the rug for leverage. A simplified angry web!Martin shouts back, "Oh no, you are not going back to that hellscape prison calling itself an academic institute!". Jon grits his teeth and yells, "No, no! You can't stop me-". Next, several spider legs hover over Jon in the doorway. Martin says, "Oh? Is that what you think?". Jon gulps. Next, Jon is being pulled back by the spider legs and screams, taking the rug with him.
4th comic: Jon and Martin are kissing, there are multiple hearts around their heads. Martin says, "Have a nice day, love" and Jon responds, "You as well". Next, Jon and Martin part with surprised expressions and there is a black widow spider hanging on a thread between their lips. Martin says, "Oh!". Next, Jon is trembling with a wobbly grimace, his eye is stylized black with tear shines in it, and a stream of tears is coming from his eye. He is gripping Martin's sweater ferociously. Martin has eight eyes now and looks at him flustered, his mouth has fangs. He yells, "AH!! J-Jon I'm so sorry!!". The spider hanging between them begins to spin down a web thread.
End ID.]
basically, the Web wants to bind all 14 Fears to the tapes in order to place them under its control, without anyone's knowledge such a thing is occurring. they could pit the Fears against each other when necessary, control their actions from the shadows, etc. However, the Web understands that a successful ritual would mean the demise of all the Fears through the End. Jonah Magnus understands that a successful ritual would mean the same, but does not care about the ramifications. this, the Web cannot allow to happen. So once all the Fears are bound, the Magnus Institute will burn in order to ensure no one else can gain control of the Fears. Except for the Archive itself -- the Archivist.
like in canon, jon is marked when he's young so that it will keep his interest in the paranormal enough to get a job at the Magnus Institute. he becomes the Web's 'person on the inside' but jon of course has no idea that's what's happening. the Web wants an avatar to become marked by the Beholding enough to be useful but not so much that they become corrupted or Jonah Magnus can use them as a tool for his own plan. the end goal is for him to become the walking, marked Archive that will abide by the Web's will.
but as jon continues at the Institute, the Web finds that he's becoming embroiled and marked faster than they would like and not in the way that would preserve their 29 year old 'secret weapon', both in his mortality and his corruption.
in comes martin. he became a web avatar after his mother died, the Web having taken interest in the way he could subtly manipulate and lie to others in order to make ends meet. he's genuinely nice and is good at manipulation, but does so as a means to help others do what he thinks is best for them rather than to hurt them. it's important to me that a web!martin does not enjoy hurting others. his most powerful weapons are gentle hands and a patient, nurturing voice. things that guide others into doing what he wants them to, under the impression that it was their own idea in the first place. (but also it's martin. he could body someone if need be. most of the time though, he's passive like in canon. the Web loves a sneaky bitch)
he's perfect for jon. in his paranoid state, what jon needs is someone unassuming, someone who'll slow him down, gives him a sweet smile, a friendly face to rely on -- and later, someone who, unfortunately, can relate very well to the 'i didn't want to become an avatar, i hate being a monster' situation
so martin comes to jon to give a statement. he gives the same statement to jon about jane prentiss as he did in canon, except this time he's lying. jon, having already suffered the jane prentiss attack, feels intense sympathy for him (played like how he acted with Helen after the Distortion statement). they get to talking and slowly become friends. the plan is for martin to crawl his way into jon's heart, get him to care about him, value his opinion, place his utmost trust in him -- until he'll do anything martin says.
and by anything he says, it means: don't fucking die by shoving tape recorders in powerful avatars faces. and also maybe pretty please burn down the Magnus Institute.
martin masquerades the Web's plan as genuine care for jon's wellbeing. "you work too hard, why don't you take a break? christ, the Magnus Institute really creeps me out, why don't we go to a nice cafe instead? if youre feeling bad, call in sick to work and lets go have a nice day out!"
martin starts to find his 'fake' feelings for jon aren't so fake anymore. was it necessary to the plan that him and jon eventually start dating? no. but he didn't exactly deter it from happening because oh my god surprise! jon is super cute and charming and harbors a mutual endearment for him, and its making him forget himself at times (and a certain annabelle cane is noticing). he finds himself falling for him, and the act he was putting on is soon becoming the real, instinctive way he wants to care and to love jon.
then jon finds out he's a web avatar. and all hell breaks loose.
martin feels like an idiot, thinking he could forever be a sense of normalcy for jon -- but the fact remains that he is the monster of jon's nightmares, and jon is already on his path to becoming a monster as well. he still has a mission though: protect jon from harm, make sure he doesn't get corrupted. the only problem now is that jon wants to kill him dead with a shoe and spray him with Raid if he so much as gets within a mile radius of him.
complicated hilarity ensues.
martin tries to sort of distance his lingering feelings by acting coy and aloof. he begins only speaking to jon by calling him on the phone and referring to him as "the archivist". but the act is.....well, jon tells him point blank it's not very convincing. martin will slip up and call him jon whenever he does something cute. they both still have each other's numbers. they both know these little personal facts about each other. jon remembers to tell martin happy birthday over the phone one day and martin nearly cries right then and there. martin can't help but remember the times he felt so safe in jon's arms, and jon the same. they both are too stubborn to say they miss each other, but god do they.
as jon learns more and more about the Fears and his descent into the Beholding becomes impossible to undo, he finds the only person he trusts to turn to is martin. martin who, despite initially lying to him, has protected him from certain death, always lent his shoulder to either lean or cry on, and has been the one person he feels truly understands him. jon finds that, as much as he hates to admit it, the feelings he held for martin may not be as fabricated as the man himself. and the martin who's a web avatar isn't very different from the martin he fell for. in that, he also feels a sense of pity, realizing that martin is just as human and helpless to the Fears as he is, stuck in the web right next to him (think Oliver Banks level solidarity). martin didn't choose to be a part of the Web, the Web robbed him of choice entirely.
eventually they bond over their shared tragedy, reconcile their differences and work in tandem, steadily repairing the repertoire they had prior. it's an unlikely pair for sure. the Web, who deals in secrets and subtlety, and the Eye, hungry to see and know all. martin does not want to be known, but when jon looks into his eyes, a smaller part of him wants to bare his soul for him and only him to see. jon does not like secrets, but loves a mystery, and finds unraveling the threads of martin blackwood to be quite compelling.
the au ends bittersweetly. my idea of a big ending scene is when martin and jon go to burn down the Institute, jonah magnus makes a last ditch attempt to perform the ritual, compelling jon to begin the incantation. martin and jon manage to kill Magnus before the ritual is completed, and they stand outside on the dark night street, hand in hand, watching the Institute burn.
jon is still the Archive, though he and the tapes are under the control of the Web now. he's free from the Magnus Institute, but certainly not the Beholding. Monsters will still come, him and Martin will still need to feed their gods, they will never have their original lives back. eventually the Web will grow bored of gorging itself on the bound Entities, and will consider other threads, woven long before this current one. it may not be for a while, there is still a chance the Fears may leave this plane. jon and martin will take any time they can get, so long as they're together.
anyway, blah blah, i probably didn't write this very well but i wanted to at least summarize. i just want to manifest a web!martin au where he's helping to protect jon from the Fears by being the most caring boyfriend ever and then realizes too late that falling in love was not part of the plan (even though it totally was)

The scenes with the stars in Stranger Things and their importance (p. 1)
I wanted to post everything in one take, but I didn't expect I need so many screenshots, oops. So, there will be 2 posts: this one includes scenes from 1x04 to 6x04 + a mention of the s3 rain fight, and the second one covers episodes 7, 8 and 9x04. Well, not the whole episodes, but just the scene where we can see stars. Also, sometimes I'm gonna write a little about the scenes which follow or precede the one with the star because almost always there's a connection between them. And I'm sorry in advance for my miserable vocabulary. It's really very hard to choose the right words for such an analysis when English is not your native language and I hope it wouldn't be too painful to read.
So, as @madwheelerz there's a possibility that the stars bookmark important moments/scenes we should pay close attention to. So far I've noticed these moments with stars in the show:
2 stars on Erica's earnings during the DnD game in 1x04 (it foreshadows Mike & Will defeating Vecna - the theory about it is here) and stars on the dress she wears in episodes 6, 7, 8 and 9;
2 stars on Lucas's sneakers during his basketball game where they win and he's the one to make the final shot (THIS parallels Erica who rolls 20 and defeats Vecna in the game);
stars on Will's costume he's wearing during the DnD game before the rain fight in s3;
6 stars on Angela's earnings in the Rink-o-Mania scene (and during THIS scene Mike & Will argue again which parallels their s3 rain fight);
Also, stars are associated with Dustin. In s3 he talks about star-crossed lovers and sings “Neverending Story” where the lyrics are : “reach the stars, fly a fantasy.” + “Ziggy Stardust” in Will’s playlist.
And @skvtebored mentions two more characters having stars in their clothes. Jason and Patrick have stars on their jackets, that's why we'll start with them.
3x04
We see the boys wearing them for the first time in 3x04 while they’re going to look for Eddie and have a small talk with Lucas near the abandoned Benny's Burger restaurant (and this place is associated with El because of s1). But I want to start with the previous scene. We see El in her room after dinner and the "She didn't look fine" moment, thinking about the roller rink accident and the massacre at the lab. "What did you do?" "What have you done?" These phrases are said by Mike and Brenner. We are shown flashbacks from that horrible day in the lab. (I made a collage with some shots, but haven't included the ones with the bodies of kids, it's already too gross to watch).
On the screenshots (1st & 2nd row): Brenner walking through the door, El in front of the broken mirror, a labyrinth with two silver balls, a ball with 8 on it, a chess desk, two dice with 2, 6, 4 and 5, some blocks with one green and one blue figures. To be honest, I don't know if these objects are there for a purpose, but I better leave the screenshots here and maybe someone with a bigger brain will connect the dots.
+ I'm adding the gifs from the moment with El in her room because of that spinning effect, like in the scene with her and Max in the final episode where she restarts her heart.
After El's flashbacks we see the Upside Down (3rd row): the library, some abandoned building that I thought could be Brimborn Steel Works but it's probably not, Creel's house with a spaceship slide next to it and Vecna.
The next shots we see (4rth row): the sun is rising, a yellow lamp in Benny's Burger restaurant, a "SPEED LIMIT 25 69" sign, a shot of the room with Lucas in a blue t-shirt (similar to El's shirt in the previous scene) and him near the doors of the restaurant with "WINNERS ONLY" written in green on it.
The dialogue between Lucas and Jason starts with: "What are you guys doing?" What did you do? What have you done? What are you doing? Past, present and...future is missing. Where will? Hmmm. And Jason's answer parallels Henry telling El the same thing the day he killed those kids in the lab. Like almost word by word. They're going to look for Eddie and Lucas is coming with them. Actually, during this scene they're putting some stuff in the truck.
The next scene when we see Jason and Patrick, they're on their way to one of Eddie’s friends. But right before seeing them in the car we are shown Eddie's trailer from the outside and the locked door with yellow ribbons, the room with the gate, hats, yellow light and electricity flickery, red lightning bolt and Vecna spying on the people with traumas.
At that time Vecna's looking for his next victim and he chooses who? Patrick. His nose starts bleeding. One of his friends calls it “gross.” They beat up the members of Eddie’s band and are going to Dustin's house. Before that fight Jason talks with them a little while Lucas pretends he isn't part of their club, although he's in Hellfire. That's when one of the boys says: "Lucas, what the hell?"
And then another boy tells Jason this: "Well, you have eyes, don't you? He's not here." That's when he starts beating him, stepping on his hand and saying: "It's gonna be hard to play drums with a broken hand." And who has no eyes and broken limbs? Vecna's victims. Interesting. In the following scene El’s in jail questioned about the roller rink accident and we see her having flashbacks of hitting Angela and the massacre at the lab again. The car is in the first shot of that scene.
As Jason and others come to Dustin, Patrick says: “No one’s home” and here I already wrote about this scene. Jason answers they should keep looking and then he sees the car door open and Lucas is not there. He says: "Where the hell is Sinclair?" while Lucas reaches Dustin and says: "Where the hell have you been?" After Jason notices Lucas in Dustin's house he says: "What the hell were you doing?"
Lucas answers: "I was looking for clues" and Patrick calls Lucas Sherlock Holmes. Hmmmm. Does it remind you of anything???? Not only do we have a Sherlock Holmes reference but also in both scenes they're talking about clues. Steve asks Dustin: "What sort of clues we're supposed to be looking for here?" By the way, keep in mind "by any chance."
After this Lucas says: "I found one" and leads them to Hopper's cabin. I wonder if it's foreshadowing of him finding Vecna in s5.
In the following scene again (for the third time) - El’s thinking about the roller rink accident and that day in the lab while riding in the car before being rescued by Owens and his people. What did you do? What have you done? And we see a rainbow.
The next scene with the basketball team is them in the woods on their way to Hopper's cabin.
Lucas said THAT is the place where Eddie's hiding. It reminded me of Will hiding in the shed in s1. Is it a parallel? The first shot we see is Jason opening the truck. Again, it reminded me of s1 and Jonathan checking Lonnie's truck. And Eddie was hiding in a boathouse which is a shed at the edge of a river or lake used for housing boats. He was hiding in the shed like Will. Interesting. And here we see after references. (Watergate my beloved) So, they’re in the cabin and the scene is shown together with the one where Owens tells El about Vecna and how he's killing right now in Hawkins. We are shown Lucas running out of the Hopper's cabin and Hopper with his cuffs off as Owens speaks of "good people and brave friends." In the following scene - Max's in trance for the first time.
4x04
The next day Jason comes to Sinclairs and talks with Erica (She refers to Lucas as Jason’s boyfriend in the most careless way possible, says he might be with Dustin and mentions Nintendo). I wrote about this scene in my Nintendo theory, so I'm leaving the link here (that's a must-read). I just want to add this screenshot from that scene where Erica's colouring the DnD character who looks like Eddie but we know that Mike is trying to look like him, even grows his hair, so I really believe it's Mike from s5, because 1) we see a dragon 2) we see a sward 3) we see a shield and 4) we see Mike with a sword and a shield facing the dragon and leading their party (Eddie is also the leader of Hellfire) in Will's painting.
Again, we hear: "Where the hell's Sinclair?" And in the following scene Steve, Lucas and Dustin talk about Victor Creel and Vecna, how he was killing then and how he's killing now.
6x04
In the previous episode Jason was wearing a black suit, so I didn't check these scenes, but in 6x04 he is in his bomber again. The police officers are talking with the citizens about Eddie and the curfew they should follow while they're looking for him. People are mad. "It's been days. Days!" The police officer answers: "I understand you all are upset, but I promise you, we will find him." And that's when Jason comes in. His first word is "No. You won't." (El's first word to Mike is "no") .
"Son, how about we talk about this in private?" That's what the chief asks Jason. (He is not ready to reveal the truth yet. The same with the Duffers.) Does it remind you of any other scene? Season 2. Mike is mad because Hopper (who’s also the chief of police) was hiding El in his cabin and Hopper asks him to talk about it in private. He calls him a liar and cries in his arms. But what if I told you he's not only mad at Hopper for hiding El but also at himself because now he has to hide from himself. From his true feelings. His feelings for Will. And Jason's speech just proves it.
"So you can keep me quiet? So you can keep the truth from coming out?"
Very and very interesting phrasing. That’s definitely the parallel to Will’s speech in the desert. "Sometimes, I think it's just scary to open up like that. To say how you really feel. Especially, to people you care about the most. Because what if they don't like the truth?" We saw Mike resonated with these words very much. He nodded and even wanted to answer something, but Argyle distracted him. What is Will's truth? He loves Mike. What is Mike's? Same. The only option for them is to come out in s5.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't bear to listen to any more excuses and lies. In fact, I think we've all had enough. That's enough."
Well, well, well. We have plenty of liars during the show but it seems to me that Mike lies the most, right? He lies not only to others but to himself. And here Jason just speaks on behalf of the GA, especially those who are homophobic, because the truth is "awful" for them.
"Last night, I saw things, things I can't explain. Things the police don't wanna believe. And things that I don't wanna believe myself. And I've come to accept an awful truth."
Jason is talking about Patrick's death, but we should always look for a double meaning in that show. He is talking about an awful truth. And we associate the truth with Mike and Will's feelings towards each other. What things he can't explain and believe is he talking about? Mike having gay panic at the airport maybe? Or Mike being pissed off because Will was showing little attention to him at Rink-o-Mania? Or Mike flirting with Will in Jonathan's and then his room? Or maybe Mike's triple take in the desert? Here Jason represents the GA, who were oblivious to the boys' feelings but now start noticing them.
By "satanic cults" he refers to Hellfire. The DnD club. And DnD represents Mike and Will's relationships, IT'S THE FACT. Jason compares it to disease. @howtobecomeadragon cracked it right open: D&D - sodomy - Satanic Cults - disease - AIDS.
ritualistic sacrifices = the consequences of forced conformity;
cults = lgbt community/Bylers;
deaease = AIDS crisis;
DnD = Byler relationship;
"And Eddie Manson is the leader of one of these cults."
Who's also called a leader of the party? Mike. Who wants to look like Eddie? Mike. Jason's speech is not only about Eddie, but it's about Mike and his feelings that he's hiding deep inside for a long time. Feelings toward Will.
Jason believes their town is cursed because of Hellfire and some ritualistic shit. In 1x04 Eddie says:
"Society had to blame something. We're an easy target. We're freaks because we like to play a fantasy game. It's forced conforming. That's what's killing the kids!"
And in 9x04 we see this scene. 5 targets with shot heads (= Vecna attacking people's minds). As far as we know Vecna was targeting 4 people in s5: Crissy, Fred, Max and Patrick. Or was there one more person? Mike is Vecna's 5th target. And also the smoke in these scenes looks like the fog we see in Vecna’s visions.
Let's return to Jason's speech. On this note, Erica's lost her nerve. By the way, she also has stars and hearts on her dress during this scene, so the next moments with her are also important.
"A club. A harmless club. That's what they want you to think. But it's a lie. A lie designed to conceal the truth. And now this cult is protecting its leader, Eddie. Hiding him. (Here we see Mike's parents, so these lines definitely refer to Mike) Allowing him to...continue his rampage."
Here Jason represents the homophobes, some of the GA and Milkvans who hate Mike and don't understand his personality, whereas we are protecting him for all costs. And what is a lie designed to conceal the truth? Mike's romantic feelings toward El. Once again, I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't bear to listen to any more excuses and lies. In fact, I think we've all had enough. That's enough.
Again, here he's religious = homophobic. And the Duffers created the paradox in which good=evil and evil=good. Just look. "Evil" is "live" backwards and "Will" is "lliv." Liv means "life" in Scandinavian languages. Will is the one who Mike wants to live his life with. While "good" is "doog" backwards and Mike says to El he's not a dog in Surfer Boy Pizza. That's such a reach but this post is full of crazy shit, we're crazy, so what???????
Okay, okay, okay. I'm gonna be even more delusional. Hellfire. Hell + fire. He'll. Fire. He will. Fire. He. Will. Fire. it's all about Will and fire. And we know about fireballs. Ohhhh, stop me, stop me now.
"We will be implementing a curfew. If you are not in your house after sunset with the doors locked, you'll be written up."
That reminded me of Mike and El in s3 lying about a curfew to the party in order to be kissing in Hopper's cabin (El's house). I'm not sure if there's some connection, but the whole kissing thing was Mike trying to be a normal teenager. Having a girlfriend. Enjoying time with her. While being in the closet (= locked doors). And for some reason we see "will" in italic, why??? And "written up" with all the writing-letters-to-El-and not-to-Will thing. Maybe, Mike is "written up" by El (=from, El) after focusing all his attention on Rink-o-Mania at Will while he was supposed to spend romantic time with his girlfriend.
And this is the following scene. Mike himself confirms Jason's truth. His words just parallel what Jason already said.
Jason: "Last night, I saw things, things I can't explain. Things the police don't wanna believe. And things that I don't wanna believe myself. And I've come to accept an awful truth...Some people say our town is cursed. They just don't know why. Now we know. Now we do." Things = love. Remember that.
Mike: "I know, it's hard to believe. But it's true. All true."
In this scene, the boys are lying to Suzie about Nina Project calling it Nintendo. Wait, wait, wait…Americantendo. Nintendo goes together with DnD in Will's love confession, so it represents Byler's relationship. (I hope you've read it, but leaving the link once more!!!) And really, during their search for Nina Mike and Will open up about their feelings to each other. Mike says they need Americantendo for Dustin's birthday. Can we suppose that we'll see Mike and Will as a couple on Dustin's birthday?
The following scene (wow, three scenes in a row) is with Dustin's, Lucas's and Mike's parents + Holly and Erica coming to Wheeler's looking for the kids. They lied about going to the movie ("What time was the movie?" "Four hours ago.") and Erica exposes their lie while Holly sings "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" Hellfire.
When Dustin's mom questions their involvement with Eddie, Ted says: "I think at this point, anything is possible" and Mr Clarke in s3 says to Joyce: "Once you open that curiosity door anything's possible." Karen answers that their kids aren't murderers and Ted tells this: "Don't put words into my mouth. See, she does that, twists my words." Hmmmmm. Is it a reference to Mike's monologue where he uses the words of others and not his own??? That's smart, that's smart.
+ When Karen is calling the police we see 7 made from the magnets on the fridge.
The following scene is the Hawkins group near Skull Rock aka make-out spot and Dustin realises the compass doesn't work correctly because of the electromagnetic field. The electricity. (I wonder if somebody already spoke about the magnets and compasses because I feel like there's some double meaning there too!!!!)
So, we have scenes with El suffering from her traumatic memories (she blames herself for what she thought she'd done) and Tigers looking for Eddie (who is also blamed for something everyone thinks he's done) going together. And we know that El hasn't killed these kids, the same with Eddie. Both aren't guilty. Vecna is responsible for all those deaths.
And other scenes with Jason go together with the ones with Mike and Will/refer to Mike. The ones with lies and the truth. And there'll be even more in the second post.
On this note I leave you alone with your thoughts, but to see the full picture wait for p.2, which I hope I'll have finished by Monday.
