I will never ever stop thinking about how, at the end of the day, Enji forever and always put his hero career above Touya.
To the very end, that did not change.
#air's antics#I honestly had a lot of faith that Enji would change but#he never did#realistically#he was encouraged not to confront Touya until Touya was literally there#like the Touya fight could have actually ended differently#If Shoto had NOT been the one to confront him#Also#The absolute bullshit that it was to be like âoh Touya is the entire Todoroki family's responsibilityâ#As if Natsuo/Shoto/Fuyumi were ACTUALLY partially to blame for how Touya turned out#No no#That was 200% on Rei and Enji#They are the parents.#The fact that Rei was even willing to put some of the blame on her kids' shoulders is disgusting#Touya was YOUR and Enji's responsibility#Not Natsuo's#Not Fuyumi's#And certainly not Shoto's#And I hate that the heroes also put it on Shoto's shoulders#âOh not confronting Touya is Enji's punishmentâ ?????? what#Sorry I'm in my feelings today LMAO

todoroki shoto x fem!reader.
genre: just tooth rotting fluff!
warnings: bad english/grammar :p
words: 2,3k
_
shoto was new to all of this.
pain and sadness was all he knew while growing up, he absolutely despised his father, he even hated calling him that. his mother also hated him, well thatâs what shoto believed, seeing his two siblings was the only good part of going home for the young boy.
shoto didnât have any friends while growing up, his father thought it was a waste of time and strong heroes didnât need friends. he put that thought into his youngestâs head, making him believe that he was unworthy of love and friendship. so when shoto joined ua, and met everyone, met you. his view on life took a drastic turn.
his first awakening was during the sportsâ championship, you had cornered him after his fight with midoriya, resulting in the green haired boy to loose and spend the next few hours at recovery girl. he was surprised to see you, he didnât expect you to come find him. he had to admit that you surprised him during the championship, he never deemed you weak but he wasnât expecting you to go that far, respectfully though. you sadly lost to bakugo and his bad temper, but you earned everyoneâs respect during that hectic fight.
"youâre holding back." you stated, bandaged arms crossed on your chest, you also had a bandage wrapped around your head and shoto wondered if you didnât leave the infirmary too early. your statement took him aback, he frowned and glared at you. "mind your business." he started to walk away from you, slightly bumping your shoulder with his. you grabbed his bicep, making him look at you with widened eyes. "itâs your quirk, todoroki, not his. bakugo wonât be happy if he sees you holding back." you quickly let go of his arm, almost running away from him, you couldnât believe you spoke like that to endeavorâs son.
but your words kept ringing into shotoâs mind. all his life, he addressed his fire quirk as his fatherâs quirk and his ice quirk as his mother quirk. he never addressed it as his, he never even thought about it belonging to him. his father had engraved into his mind that shoto and his abilities belonged to him. but you were right, this quirk might be a curse to shoto, but at least it belonged to him and only him. after that day, shoto kept looking at you in class, watching you from afar when you were having lunch with your friends and wondering why your words were still haunting him. why did he listen to you of all people? why you?
"hey todoroki! wanna go to the mall with us, after school?" you offered to the young boy. he looked up from his book, slightly surprised that you thought of him. "ugh? hell no! i donât want icy hot to come with us!" bakugo screamed from his seat, his hands glowing with small sparkles. you rolled your eyes and used your air controlling quirk to make bakugo spin in the air, a funny sight, really. "well, i want him to come, so deal with it bakago!" shoto didnât know why he felt something strange tug in his stomach when you said that. he looked at you for a minute before nodding, if you wanted him to come then heâll come.
hanging out with his classmates wasnât too bad actually, aside from bakugoâs getting them kicked out of a shop and kaminari attempts at flirting with some girls, shoto had a great time. at first, he stayed behind, silently walking and observing his surroundings, but his eyes kept coming back to you. you were talking with mina and jiro, throwing your head back as you laughed loudly, making the weird sensation in shotoâs stomach reappear. when you noticed that shoto was walking alone, you felt bad, you wanted him to feel included and you hated the fact that some classmates didnât like shoto because of his closed off behaviour. you left your friends to hang out with shoto, hands behind your back.
you did most of the talking and shoto listening to every single word that left your mouth with attention. you made sure to avoid anything to do with his father or even the championship. you learned a lot about shoto, and he learned a lot about himself too. he liked soba, cats, going to the library, watching tv and late night walks. when everyone had to go their own separate ways, shoto grabbed your hand, making you blush, when he saw the red tinting your cheeks he frowned. "are you okay? why is your face so red? are you sick?" he put his hand on your forehead but your temperature was normal. "o-oh, uh⌠iâm just hot! itâs getting hot here, eheâŚ" you stuttered, mentally slapping you but also grateful that everyone had left and no one could see you embarrass yourself in front of shoto. "oh." he simply said, before holding a hand next to your face and activating his ice quirk, making the air cooler for you. "are you feeling better?" you could only nod, still shocked at his sudden action. "i wanted to thank you for inviting me today, it was⌠fun." he looked down, slightly embarrassed. but you could only think about how gorgeous he looked, with the sunset glowing behind him.
after that, you and shoto kept being paired up together, for a school project, during practice, even during the internship you crossed path with him. you got scouted by gang orca and you were going home when you saw mirodiya, iida and shoto being attacked by the infamous slain. of course, you immediately went to help them, flying in the air while you sneaked an attack towards the villain, slamming him against the wall, full force. "y/n-kun!" midoriya yelled, happy to see you but also very worried that another of his friend could get hurt. you landed next to the group. shoto didnât say anything but his mind was going crazy, you shouldnât be there, you should be at home or with gang orca. you should be safe. shoto couldnât risk anything happening to you, he wouldnât allow it. his eyes were focused on slain, but he couldnât help the small glances he threw your direction, just to make sure you were fine. everyone ended up being okay, except a few scratches you got on your face. shoto wasnât even paying attention to what his father was saying, he simply walked away, towards you. "are you okay?" he gently asked, eyes full of concern. you smiled at him and nodded, you were getting your face wounds treated. "of course! stop worrying for me." you slightly pushed his shoulder. but he couldnât get rid of that damn feeling in his stomach, what if something had happened to you?
since getting close to you, shoto had felt a ton of new emotions that he couldnât name. when you were next to him he felt hot but cold at the same time, he couldnât think straight, his hands were sweating, he was stuttering when you were looking at him with your big doe eyes. shoto was lost to say the least. "fuyumi, i think iâm dying." he blurted out to his sister, while she was making dinner. the poor woman almost cut her own finger at her brotherâs statement. "w-what?" the todoroki siblings sat down, fuyumi eager to know what was going on. she was also surprised to see shoto open to talk to her about himself, that never happened before he joined ua. "there is this girl in my class, her name is y/n." the blush of his cheeks when he said her name made fuyumi chuckle slightly. "i donât know whatâs wrong with me but whenever we talk or sheâs around i feel something weird in my stomach, and to the contrary when sheâs not around or talking to someone else i feel almost⌠sad? or angry when sheâs talking with another boy." he said, his face and voice empty of any emotion. fuyumi was stunned to say the least, out of everyone in this house, shoto wasnât the one she expected to fall in love. "shoto, she grabbed his face with her two hands, making the boy frown. you are in love."
in love. you are in love. these words kept ringing in his ears, haunting him when he closed his eyes to sleep. he heard them when he looked at you, in class. he couldnât shake them away, he kept thinking about what his sister had said. shoto didnât know anything about love in general, the only type of love he ever received were from his siblings and maybe his mother when he was still a baby. shoto never loved anyone because he didnât know what it felt to be loved by someone. fuyumi made him watch a ton of romcom that night, so he could understand better. she felt bad for her little brother, she wanted him to be happy and understand that loving someone wasnât a curse, it wasnât something bad, it was something beautiful and pure.
"shoto! truth or dare?" mina asked, a huge smirk on her lips. the whole class stayed late at night at the dorms to play some fun games and spend more time together. they had gone through some pretty fucked up things since the attack at the training camp and bakugoâs kidnapping. "truth." he crossed his arms on his chest, drinking his cup of water. "do you have a crush on anyone here?" the poor boy almost died from choking on his water. "w-what?" he asked, looking at mina with pleading eyes, anything but this question. but mina saw right through his act and repeated the question. "um⌠shoto looked up at you, you looked like you were dreading this question and you were, what if your feelings were one sided? what if mina was wrong and shoto didnât like you back? "i do." he mumbled but mina heard him, she jumped from her seat and winked at you. "i knew it! who is it?" shoto shoved her away from him and lowered his head. "one question at the time, ashido."
shoto made a ton of research on love and confessing, he looked it up on the internet, read blogs, listened to some podcasts and even watched a few romcoms, fuyumi had requested him. and it all came to one conclusion: he had to confess to you. but he didnât know how! he still didnât understand why he was feeling like that and saying it out loud was still hard so confessing to you? impossible. but shoto had to do with, he wanted you to know and he wanted to know if it was one sided or not. he wouldnât be mad at you if it was, after all, he had nothing for himself except childhood trauma and issues. "ashido, where is y/n?" he asked the pink girl, she blinked at him and immediately jumped out of her seat. "oh my god! i knew you liked her!" she jumped at his neck and hugged him tightly, making shoto panic slightly as he wasnât used to pda. "sorry~ mina had noticed shoto tensing at her touch, and backed away. "anyways! sheâs outside with jiro and momo, who knew you were that much of a romantic!" she beamed and shoto couldnât be more lost. "what do you mean?" mina couldnât believe this guy. "today is white day! boys are the one to confess to their crushes with flowers, chocolates, anything! what did you get for y/n?" shotoâs eyes couldnât be more wide at minaâs words. he didnât know today was white day.
you were having lunch with jiro and momo on the schoolâs little park. it wasnât too crowded with students which you enjoyed. "seriously yaomomo, how many confessions have you received?" jiro rolled her eyes at her friendâs huge pack of letters, chocolates and flowers. "tons. i donât even know how i am supposed to get these home." she blushed, which made you laugh. "donât laugh, y/n! you got a lot too!" she added, pointing at your bag full of letters. you sighed while looking at them, you may have received a lot of letters, none of them were from the boy you loved. "oh, todoroki?" jiro looked behind y/n, making you turn to see. and there he was, shoto was sweating and panting as he was holding something behind his back. you stood up, concerned for him. "shoto? are you-âŚ" he cut you off, handing you a bunch of flowers, who seemed to have been picked out from the schoolâs garden. "for you." his cheeks were flushed and he couldnât look at you. "i like you, y/n. a lot, but i forgot today was white day so if you consider that i am not worthy of your love, i understand. you deserve someone who wonât forget such an important date." he finally looked at your eyes and you swore your heart would stop beating. you grabbed his flowers, tears starting to burn your eyes as you smiled. "idiot." you mumbled, before jumping in his arms while jiro and momo clapped and cheered for the love birds.
shoto was grateful for a lot of things in his life, he was grateful for his professors, who helped him improve and learn more about his quirk. he was grateful for his friends who made him understand that friendship wasnât useless and was one of the most beautiful thing to experience. he was grateful for his siblings who always stood by his side. and he was grateful to you, for saving him.
he wanted the world to know that there was a woman named y/n l/n, who saved him by making him realise that he was worthy of love.

Horikoshi is a terrible writer
God, I wish I was kidding, these last couple of days I've been analyzing the whole damn manga and I finally understood where this guy is going with it and how it fails.
I'm going to make the post with spoilers and talk in random order about different things that he fail at, because honestly it's unthinkable to make an order in this manga chaos.
The League Without Goals:
I really can't understand how people look at this group and say "they have a plan" or "they're good antagonists" when neither of those things are true.
The league was founded by Tomura wanting to show the world that they live in a false peace, at first he wants to kill All Might for being the symbol that brought this false era of peace...
The claim is fair, I'm not going to lie to you, but after the Stain arc, instead of reflecting on how he can show the danger to society, he goes a step further and decides to destroy all the heroes, and the league "adopts" Stain's mentality with its new members.
You think it could improve, I mean, here they should tell us the reasons of the new members of the league about their mentality towards the heroes, but no, nothing, absolutely nothing.
Dabi introduces himself stating that he's there for Stain, Toga too, Spinner obviously too, but they don't reveal why they agree with Stain.
As time goes by we see glimpses of everyone's personality and past, and the first thing that comes to mind when I think back to the entire history of the villains, is that they don't have a group spirit here, in fact, not even a hint of personalities, Dabi and Toga are serial killers, Spinner is a mutant and Compress is a thief. Twice is a disturbed guy who lost his place in society by no longer being able to control his quirk, but he also has no qualms about kidnapping and killing children and god, Magne, Mudstard, Muscular and Moonfish are forgettable
The league's goal changes from "Show society the false peace" to "Let's do whatever we want" after the liberation army arc, here there is no direct reason, but Tenko says that he wants to destroy everything that breathes.
They show us their pasts but there is not really a more appropriate answer to "these people are crazy"
Spinner, who is the one with his head on his shoulders, should question why but he doesn't, He don't tell us what he wants to do other than "follow Shigaraki", and then in the final war they put him almost into a Nomu and leading an army of mutants without any plan of what to do when the world is his, there are no community plans, nothing, just find Kurogiri and destroy Japan.
Toga was deprived her entire life of living the way she wanted and she wants to do that, but when Twice dies she wonders if the heroes don't see her as a person when she can't even wonder why the heroes would see her that way, she kills people and animals without any shame and is plotting to destroy the world.
Dabi wants dad's attention, that's why he's going to destroy everything dad built including his mother and siblings, but he could go one by one, first Natsuo, then Fuyumi, then Rei, then the "Masterpiece" Shoto, or better yet, broadcast the video of Endeavor after the battle against High-End Hood, but instead he waits for the damn climax of the story to try to detonate himself. Not only could he have saved Twice and didn't, but he also has reasons to follow Stain but still sticks to "let's kill whoever gets in our way"... and that's it.
Tomura already came to this story in an extremist way and has reasons to hate society, at the beginning of the story I thought his motivation was going to be to reveal the imperfections of civilians and heroes, but his motivations grow to commit acts of terrorism to ACADEMY STUDENTS. And they are not even varied, it is the same academy and the same damn class
And when I thought that Horikoshi could not make it any emptier, AFO reveals that he always planned to take his body and orchestrated everything that happened to Tenko. AND THE WORST THING IS THAT HE DOESN'T EVEN REFLECT AFTER THAT, IF IT WERE UP TO HIM HE WOULD DESTROY EVERYTHING ANYWAY.
How do Hori expect me to feel bad about their defeats and deaths? They literally grew up in the opposite way to how they should have, and that's when I realized: Hori didn't want to give this group of clowns any redemption at any point.
Before you ask me "then why did Horikoshi make Midoriya, Uraraka and Shoto want to save them?"
No, here Horikoshi is writing 2 things, but he writes them so badly that the fandom interprets something totally different:
1-A hero is a human being, and villains born in their mistakes: The members of the league, if we look at their origins first, arise from the fault of people (not just heroes
Toga must be one of many who has their biology affected by their quirk, at no time do we have reference to the fact that there are specialized centers to help this type of people, because if that were the case, her parents would have accompanied their daughter in that way instead of repressing her.
Spinner is a mutant, so he hasn't grown up in a conventional way (as we're told, he was always alone). But that's the incomplete picture, being a mutant and following Stain's ideology, you add 2+2 and notice that Spinner suffered mistreatment even from heroes, but it's something he doesn't mention, and Horikoshi didn't delve into either his history or the mutant plot.
Dabi is the son of an arranged marriage (know how to differentiate it from a forced marriage) and that's already a lot to say, but his origin resonates with Stain's words about heroes only seeking fame and power. If the top heroes didn't exist or worked differently, things in the Todoroki family would have been different.
Tomura is the mark of an imperfect society, as his problems are not only his own, they come from generations ago. His grandmother left his father for adoption after his grandfather's death, and there is already a big red flag about the safety between heroes.
Then, his father grows up hating heroes because he never knew about the danger that his mother and he were in. And he hits his son every time he says the word "hero" just because he never knew how to properly deal with his father's death or his mother's abandonment.
And after what happened to his family, people look the other way hoping that a hero might appear, when that is not the job of a hero, it is something that everyone can do. Tomura marks the total and combined result of a society that has made heroes into nothing more than a service instead of people, while people simply go on with their lives.
Society in general after the dawn of power remains the same: discrimination, power and ignorance continue to be the daily life of people.
The biggest problem? is that Horikoshi shows us the league at first wanting to point out these injustices, but little by little they get to "let's destroy everything because Tomura is upset."
2- The origin of true heroes
The arcs that resonate the most with the soul of the manga are Uraraka and Hawks' arcs, two of which in my opinion are the best in the work
Uraraka enters the academy with the wrong intentions, but her heart is in the right place, she wants to help people and little by little she realizes something that many people ignore, that heroes and villains are also people.
Hawks is trained directly in the commission as a human weapon, but he does not fight against this because his desire is to be a hero, as he grows up between so much training and work, he realizes that despite being a hero, he is not allowed to be a person, and this is reflected in all the other heroes thanks to his phrase "I just want a world where heroes have free time"
Uraraka is the one who initiates the change to society by asking the civilians to let Midoriya rest in the academy, the civilians are scared but notice for the first time that the heroes are not in good shape either.
And they are not even heroes yet, they are children who still have the spirit to stand in front of the bullets when they should be crying for what happened, they lost teachers and classmates, in addition to being mutilated by people older than them.
In these epilogue chapters, civilians and heroes began to work shoulder to shoulder after this event and the battle in which Midoriya gave his all to prevent everything known from disappearing, and he succeeded by very little.
In chapter 429 we see a child who escaped from hell, and for the first time a civilian helps someone without having to request support from a hero, and it is the same woman who did not help Tenko years ago who still carries the guilt.
But what is the problem with this point?
Two small details, one being that Horikoshi isn't giving dialogue to those who started this change, and if he did, he did it incorrectly.
Uraraka feels bad for not being able to save someone who didn't want to be saved, when she doesn't reflect on how Toga got to that point of no return, or what made the heroes get to where they are now
Midoriya calms her down by telling her that she's his heroine (which isn't bad at all) but it's a very short dialogue for two characters who saw through all the flaws of this system and fight to change that same system for the better.
and Hawks is in a position to restructure the hero system for the better based on the things he knows, taking a correct step in creating a Top that is defined by the actions in the place of power... BUT YOU DIDN'T ELIMINATE THE OLD TOP? ARE YOU SERIOUS?
And now I know why he doesn't do it, because of someone who has taken up more than enough pages in this work, the damn Katsuki Bakugo, another damn symbol of the old society that glorifies power over heroic actions.
Horikoshi himself didn't know what to do with the character beyond the first tests arc and HE SHOWS IT, because it is so contradictory with this character and everything that surrounds him in a disgusting way and the fandom doesn't want to accept it.
He literally doesn't get any attention when he does wrong, when he attacked Kurogiri with Kirishima, when he acts arrogant at the sports festival, when he hits Midoriya at the final exams and verbally abuses him in front of everyone, when at the camp he ignores Mandalay's instructions.
There is only one consequence for him in the manga, ONE, AND THAT IS THAT HE FAILS AN EXAM AND THAT'S IT.
Then he has a nervous breakdown saying "it's my fault that All Might retired" when he doesn't reflect on the danger he put his teammates in or the way he acts.
Here everyone is useless when it comes to Bakugo; Aizawa lets him go with a pat on the arm when he tries to attack Midoriya, 13 should have reported Bakugo and Kirishima to the principal after Kurogiri, Aizawa justifies Bakugo's behavior to heroes who are obviously outraged by his attitude during the festival, All Might ignores that his disciple bled from a punch from Bakugo and also that Bakugo almost killed him in the team tests.
When he is kidnapped, no one points out that he disobeyed a direct instruction in an emergency like the camp, instead Aizawa grabs a microphone and says "He's a great hero."
And in the provisional license exams, the Commission should have intervened and called him to attention, or at least Aizawa, but NOTHING.
Horikoshi makes him absent for a couple of arcs and then Bakugo reappears at the cultural festival where he doesn't change a cent, he just plays the drums, then he passes the provisional exams making the minimum effort possible while Todoroki, Utsushimi and Yoarashi do all the work with the children, and he tells the leader of the children "don't be an idiot" and that's it.
Then the Endeavor arc, he sneaks into Midoriya and Todoroki's internships and disrespects half the world, again without consequences and his appearance in this arc is to justify the disaster of power increase in the next arcs, wasn't it that he had already mastered his quirk? wasn't he a prodigal?
Then there's the war and he only serves as a human shield, receiving a lethal wound and SURVIVING to then wake up in the hospital and ignore that everyone is injured or in mourning and start screaming.
Then in the Dark Deku arc he mocks Izuku who is at his lowest point and makes the emptiest apologies I've read in a manga, with an apology comes a change and HE doesn't change.
His death and resurrection is totally useless to the plot other than to nerf (not kill) Edgeshot, who turns from a paper man into a surgery man to repair his heart and vital organs that are shown to have EXPLODED BY SHIGARAKI'S PUNCH.
He gets up and fights All For One at his weakest point and eliminates him, which has no real value because AFO then possesses Shigaraki anyway. And to make this more regrettable Bakugo KILLS KUROGIRI WHO WAS ON HIS SIDE.
What makes me the most angry is that Izuku is losing OFA and HE IS THE ONE CRYING
At this last point Midoriya has already completely lost the spotlight because Horikoshi never tires of inflating the Gary Stu that is Bakugo. And God forbid Midoriya to do even a little of what Bakugo did.
Midoriya at the end of each arc has no recognition, in fact, the recognition that Horikoshi gives him is reduced as the arcs go by
The story started with Midoriya saying that this would be like him "he became the greatest hero" and in the last arc he changes it to "we all became the greatest heroes" and it doesn't feel like a true victory once they achieve it, because Midoriya is not even the shadow of what he was.
With Horikoshi's decision to preserve the previous Top of Heroes it is obvious that he will give it to Bakugo, it is a worthless title because it is not defined by heroism, but by statistics that come from power and solved cases.
and this last one ruins Endeavor's ending even more
Speaking of Endeavor, he doesn't have his family anymore, he already lost his position, he's disabled and his money won't be his anymore, since he's going to put it at the disposal of his children. I was wondering if Horikoshi would make him face something legally but with everything that's happened I think it would have been the same result, with him paying monthly damages to his family.
and his family, god, what a family.
Rei needed more introspection and perspective on the situation, especially with Shoto and Touya if she was going to be included in the final battle. And yes, she stays with Endeavor, good for some and bad for others, but I want to know what led her to that, Horikoshi didn't justify it.
Fuyumi was fired not because of Endeavor's abuse, but because of the things Touya did. Again, this information is useless without a proper explanation. What information do you want to leave me with, that she got a new job? Will she work at the UA library or what?
Natsuo will be a Kotaro 2.0 because of his attitude, and honestly I never really liked him, especially because he didn't put any energy into getting to know Shoto or trying to reconcile with Touya after the final battle.
Shoto... poor Shoto, it feels like he was orphaned after the last family talk. In fact it feels disconnected from the story since the Dark Deku arc.
Well, I only have to talk about Eraser, because I already pointed out everything, empty villains, Midoriya's lack of introspection, Bakugo Katsuki's superfluous character... and there's this incapable who must be Horikoshi's self-insert.
Shouta Aizawa, aka Eraserhead, underground hero and the worst teacher in the known universe.
This guy never knew what he did, and just like Horikoshi, he tipped the scales towards Bakugo in every situation he could. He forced his students to give their all, but he didn't help at any time in the evolution of their powers... WHILE HE WAS TRAINING SHINSO.
He's not a teacher, he's just a security measure in case a quirk gets out of control, nothing more, and he even does wrong, he ties up students with his capture weapon and attacks them with his quirk threatening expulsion in any situation that bothers him
Present Mic points this out and many other things but is continually silenced by Aizawa and the fandom, even worse
The Fandom ships them.
and since we're mentioning the fandom, this is one of the worst fandoms in the universe.
90% of them seem to have gotten the story wrong and don't have a cent of criticism towards Bakugo or the league, and don't value the moments of the manga in the proper way.
There can't be a second without them believing that this is Shoujo, because they focus on Bakugo and Deku in the same panel and take it completely out of context (a bad habit that Rukasu created by translating the leaks absolutely wrong on purpose).
Now everyone is angry with Horikoshi not because he wrote a story in the most absurd way possible, but because the league of assassins did not have a happy ending and they just discovered that this was never a shojo.
Horikoshi was right to fear that the manga would be cancelled, because he clearly excels at drawing, not writing. Now we're getting a fan-made Attack of Titan Requiem 2.0 of Bakugo and the league making this twenty times worse than it already was.
I've also noticed that there are some creative people who are writing arc by arc either on tumblr or ao3, which gives me some faith that this nightmare is bearable.
Well, I read opinions, but not from fans of Bakugo, BKDK or the League of Villains.

The days still grew cold as winter was slowly turning into spring, the wind would howl in his ears and his cheeks would turn numb from exposure while he protrolled with Endeavor, Shoto, and Deku. Bakugou shivered as ducked his face into the high collar of his hero costume, attempting to block the direct hit from the bitter chill as he propelled himself through the air with his explosions.
Endeavor suddenly landed onto a high building roof while he surveyed the area around him, the three interns quickly caught up and each landed onto the roof with heavy feet. Silence filled the air as their eyes darted rapidly trying to find the next emergency they would rush off to before Endeavor could.
"You three still can't beat me to the scene. Heh." He scoffed as he glanced over his shoulder at them.
Katsuki's anger bubbled over, ears red and numb from the wind blowing around them. His crimson eyes flared with the frustration that was running through his veins.
" I HATE THE WINTER! IF IT WASN'T FOR THIS GODDAMN COLD I WOULD BE OUT TIMING YOU IN SPEED OLD MAN!"
Shoto and Deku watched as Bakugou continued to let out the built up frustration he had been compressing the last few days. Endeavor sighed at the sight, his demeanor grew more intimidating as he waited for the ashy blonde to finish his unsightly temper tantrum.
Were these boys really Shoto's friends?
Bakugou heaved, angrily breathing in air while he calmed down, his clenched jaw relaxing as silence surrounded them. Endeavor clicked his tongue in annoyance, turning his back on him once more to look at the people below.
"Are you done with that childish rant? I've already told you don't make cold weather an excuse for you falling short. Figure out a way to get stronger."
Bakugou scoffed but stayed silent as he listened to the number one hero. The three boys watched him with intent analyzing his actions and the city that surrounded them, before Endeavor's stern voice cut through the air once more.
"You have been tasked with defeating a villain faster than I can, of course I'm not going to make it easy for you otherwise you wouldn't learn anything."
Determination rose in the boys at the words, the fire under their drive to beat him being furiously relit. Endeavor jumped off the side of the building propelling himself towards the next crisis, the interns eagerly running and throwing themselves into the air after him. Bakugou was right behind his mentor, nearly at his heels as the corner of his mouth quirked up a wide smirk forming. His palms crackled loudly, bursting more explosions from his hands in order to close the gap between him and the number one hero ahead of him. He felt the heat rise throughout his body as his hands simmered under the gloves, finally warming him up in the cold as he raced towards the target.
I'm almost there, just have to push a little bit more.
A dim light fading out in a passing alleyway caught the corner of his eyes, He squinted while he glanced at Endeavor who was still heading fast towards the original crime scene. Bakugou's thoughts gnawed on him as he tried to ignore the light he had seen, but something was telling him he needed to turn around and investigate. He tried to fight the urge, he was so close to victory and finally fulfilling the task he had been given at the start of their internship.
He glowered at himself as he slowed his pace and turned back towards the alleyway, Shoto and Deku exchanged a wide eyed expression as they called out to him briefly, stopping in confusion at his actions.
"Bakugou! Where are you going?!"
Bakugou didn't stop to answer their calls, nor did he spare them another glance as he made his way towards the now faded light. Shoto and Deku worried on who to follow before ultimately deciding to trust him with what he was doing while they continued to follow Endeavor.
His expression dulled as the alleyway came back into view, he surveyed the area as his feet landed loudly on the concrete. He kept his guard up as he took in his surroundings, the alleyway seemed deserted but he wasn't going to take a chance at being unprepared for an attack. His pupils flared and eyebrows furrowed as he heard movement from further down, a scowl returned to his features as voice rang out echoing off the walls loudly.
"HEY BASTARD! GET THE HELL OUT HERE BEFORE I DRAG YOU OUT, YOU GODDAMN COWARD!" Bakugou demanded.
He heard feet shuffling from the side of the dumpster a few feet away from him, His hands crackled in anticipation as he readied himself for a fight.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" He cursed, his lips drew back in snarl as he took in the figure in front of him.
A six year old boy stood there in shorts and a short sleeve shirt, his thoughts raced through protocols on missing children as he leered down at the kid.
"Damn! What's your name kid?" He asked, his tone going softer as the rush of adrenaline dwindled down.
The boy kept his face lowered towards the ground, ashy blonde hair covering his eyes as his body visibly shivered from the cold. Annoyance rose within him as he waited for the kid to answer, clicking his tongue when it was obvious he wasn't going to receive one.
"Hey, you don't know how to talk or something?! If you want help, answer otherwise stop wasting my time and leave." A vein popped out of his neck as he spat harshly.
Another breeze blew through the alleyway causing the boy to shudder and wrap his arms around his torso. His face looked up suddenly, eyes still closed with the faintest sign of tear streaks running down his cheeks, his eyebrows furrowed tensely as he shouted out.
"KATSURO BAKUGOU! YOU ASSHOLE!"
Katsuki's body tensed, the color drained out of his face as the name echoed into his ears. His hands clenched, nails digging into his palms hard enough to rip through his gloves. His mind reeled at the information, crimson eyes darted quickly over the boy's physical features and appearance.
Could it be a coincidence? Was Bakugou a common last name and what about how he looks... he's practically...?
"Why are you silent after yelling so much you jerk?! Are you even a real hero?! My daddy said 'extras' like you should all go to hell!" The boy ranted angrily, finally opening his eyes to meet the hero standing in front of him.
Recognition dawned on the tiny face as bright e/c eyes started deeply into his crimson ones. His mouth hung wide open before he quickly slammed it shut and his awe was turned to anger, his tiny fist clenched at his sides as he snarled up at Katsuki.
"Daddy! Why are you playing such a dirty prank?! Wandering off this time wasn't even my fault, so stop being a jerk. "
"HUH?"
Katsuki's mind froze the moment the boy addressed him as daddy, his whole body went cold as he tried to process the information.
"This isn't funny anymore! Let's go home!"
"Kid, I don't know what's going but I'm for sure not-" Katsuki paused upon seeing the look of fear in the child's eyes as he willed himself to push back the unshed tears.
God damnit! I can't just leave him here on the street.
He kneeled down and quickly grabbed the boy and easily threw him over his shoulder. The boy let out a shocked gasp and Katsuki started walking down the alleyway towards the street.
"What are you doing?" Katsuro asked while he looked around his surroundings.
"Taking you somewhere warm."
"Took you long enough."
"Shut Up Runt!"
"You shut up Old Man!"
"HEH!" Katsuki scoffed, growing annoyed at the boy over his shoulder.
An idea swept through his mind briefly before moved his grip towards the boy's ankles and dragged him off his shoulder to instead leave him dangling in the air. The child gasped in shock from the sudden movement as his head was now dangling above the concrete.
"I dare you to say it again." Katsuki sneered, taking pleasure in the brief look of fear that flickered over the boy's features.
The boy twisted around to where he was facing Bakugou before lifting his palms in frustration. Bright explosions crackled and popped in the six years old hands as he swung towards the man holding him, one small explosion managing to actually hit him. However, due to the low impact power, it didn't do anything to him other than cause him to pause at the realization that the boy had the same quirk, no had his quirk.
The civilians that walked around them gawked and gossiped in shock at the abrasive way he was handling the child, he huffed out in annoyance before readjusting his grip on the kid and holding him properly in his arms.
"I don't need you to carry me! I can walk on my own!" He huffed, puffing out his cheeks in frustration at being carried like a child.
"You'll slow me down."
"Heh! You're the one who is slow, asswipe."
Bakugou's steps paused for a moment as his eye twitched in anger, before he compressed the feeling down.
I've never wanted to beat up a child more than I do right now.
Katsuro continuously glanced at Bakugou throughout the walk, taking in the features that were so similar and yet so different from his father at the same time. His mind buzzed while it searched for an explanation in the hero's features.
"What?!" Bakugou sneered, noticing the boy looking at him carefully with furrowed brows.
"Did you get hit by a quirk? Why do you look like your high school yearbook picture?"
Bakugou remained silent to the child's question, his eyebrows furrowed as he pieced together information. This kid was to similar too him, looked too much like him to not be related by blood. The quirk alone convinced him of that fact as if the spiked ashy blonde hair and facial features wasn't enough. This was his child from the future, and for an unknown reason he had shown up in the past. He had gotten lucky to briefly notice the light in the alleyway and find the child, it had his thoughts going on haywire.
If someone had known I was going to be there, it would make sense why I was able to find him rather than someone else.
The thoughts did nothing to settle his restless state of mind, it only caused him to become more anxious and in need of answers.
The silence that remained between the two seemed to answer Katsuro's question even though Bakugou hadn't verbally replied. He turned his head away, sadness clouded his features as he pieced together the information he had and the moments leading up to appearing in the alleyway.
"I'm in the past, aren't I?"
"Yeah." He mumbled back.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Bakugou saw Endeavor and the others in the distance, he used his quirk to propel him into the air, closing the gap quickly between them all while the boy excitedly laughed as the wind blew through his hair. The number one hero eyed the boy with a suspicious gaze before placing a stern pointed glare at his intern.
"You disappeared." He noted flatly.
"Keh! I saw something you missed, an abandoned kid in an alleyway. So much for being able to notice everything even before it happens huh?" The explosive blonde mocked.
"And you didn't feel the need to report your whereabouts to anyone?"
"Would have taken too long. What's the problem? I'm here now aren't I?"
Endeavor sighed deeply while closing his eyes in frustration, already growing tired of the conversation. When his eyes reopened he focused them on the ashy blonde boy who had climbed out of Bakugou's arms and jumped onto the concrete beside him. The resemblance between the two was shocking, if it weren't for the e/c eyes the boy would have been a miniature clone of Bakugou and the thought alone was unsettling for the number one hero.
"Who is the kid?"
Bakugou tensed slightly before quickly regaining composure, however the slight slip didn't go unnoticed by Endeavour. He let out a harsh breath and rubbed the back of his neck anxiously, preparing himself as well as the rest of the group for his next words.
"This is my son-"
"YOU HAVE A CHILD!? IN HIGH SCHOOL!? HOW IRRESPONSIBLE! SHOTO I DON'T CONDONE YOU BEING FRIENDS WITH THIS DELINQUENT!" Endeavor raged, interrupting Bakugou.
"SHUT UP!" Bakugou continued.
"This is my son from the future."
Crimson eyes meet turquoise as Bakugou and Endeavor glared at each other in a silent battle, sharp gasps filled the air at the reveal as Shoto and Deku processed the information.
"Convenient."
"Whatever Old Man, like I need to explain anything to you."
Katsuro had observed the interaction's in amusement, a bright smirk formed on his lips as he laughed happily. Deku had managed to regain his composure from the sudden shock of his childhood friend suddenly appearing with a future child and had made his way over to Katsuro, a gentle smile on his lips as he kneeled down to the boy's height and waved in greeting.
"Hello! I'm Izuku Midoryia, but you can call me Deku. What's your name?"
"Katsuro Bakugou! Are you really Deku?" He questioned.
"Yes, is there something wrong?" Deku anxiously replied.
"The Deku in the future is way cooler."
"Wha-" Deku stuttered before being interrupted.
"Heh?" Bakugou scoffed, instantly irritated at the boy's words.
"Deku? Cool?"
"Deku is the greatest! Unlike you Mr. Number Two! No matter how much trouble he's in, he's always the winner and that's why he's my favorite hero. I'm going to be just like him when I grow up and become the number one hero myself!" Katsuro said confidently.
Bakugou's eyebrow twitched, crimson eyes flashed with anger as he glared at the green haired boy still kneeled on the ground. Miniature explosion's crackled in his palms as he clenched his hands, nails digging into his palms once more while his breath quickened.
Wide green eyes glanced up to see the fuming blonde at his side, he nervously backed away from him while he tried to form words but all that came out of his mouth were anxious stammers and incomplete sentences. The blonde lunged at him suddenly, explosion's bursting from his palms that he aimed for Deku's face while he narrowly dodged the attack, the hit grazed his face causing his mask to rip. Endeavor reacted quickly, restraining the explosive blonde and barking out orders that the team is returning back to headquarters for the day.
Katsuro walked beside Endeavor towards the car that was awaiting them, his arms animated as he punched the air while talking about old fight's he had seen of the current number one hero. Bakugou grumbled as he walked beside Shoto and Deku, he lowered his gaze towards the ground in annoyance as his feet continued to harshly stomp the concrete beneath him.
"You know his e/c eyes remind me of someone."
Shoto's sudden voice broke him out of his thoughts, he glanced over at the boy with a glare as he took in the thoughtful expression on his face and furrowed eyebrows.
"Like I care Icy-hot. Deku! Don't think you're better than me just because of what he said, that's still years away and I can change it. I won't lose to you!"
"Okay Kacchan, I won't lose to you either!" Deku Agreed with a smile before continuing "You know, Katsuro is so much like you."
"No shit, he's my kid. We are practically identical."
"I'm not just talking about his looks. What he said about me, well no what he said about the number one hero and why he's the best. It's almost exactly what you said when we were kids, I see a lot of your drive and confidence in him." He said, awe taking over his features as he spoke.
Bakugou remained quiet for a moment as they walked in silence, his spiky hair covering his expression as he continued to look away from the two boys. His neck burned slightly from the rising heat coursing through his body while the tips of his ears turned a slight shade of pink.
"Shut up and die." He barked out with annoyance.
"Hopefully he doesn't take after Bakugou when it comes to his attitude." Shoto added with a playful smirk formed on his lips.
Laughter filled the air around them as the boys went back and forth with remarks and lightheartedly mocking each other. The tension from earlier had finally dissipated from the group as they descended into the car.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
The agency was a safe haven compared to the bitter winter that still raged on outside. The heat instantly warmed up the group as they stepped inside, Katsuro's shivers halted as he began to relax in the cozy heat of the building.
"I can't believe you let your son stay out in the cold for so long without a jacket." Shoto chastised.
"I'm not the one who dressed him dumbass!"
"Still, you couldn't give him your own?"
"Stop telling me what to do!"
Bakugou's eyes found the ashy blonde hair of his son who was happily running around the lounge area. A few sidekicks would share a glance as their eyes darted between the similarities of him and Katsuro, which he would return with heated glare at the noisy employees.
The other sidekicks happily welcomed the child with no questions asked, greeting him with waves and doting on the boy as he introduced himself as the next number one hero confidently. Every so often when he wanted more attention drawn to him, he would show off his quirk and crackle the mini explosions in his palms for the viewer's around him.
"Woah! What a great quirk!"
"You're right! You will definitely be the next number one hero with a quirk like that."
"How flashy!"
Bakugou raked his fingers through his hair as he watched his son be praised for his quirk and the smile that was plastered happily on his face. His thoughts flew back to when he had manifested his quirk and had received just as many compliments that raised his ego growing up.
My mom always said when I had kids they would dish out to me twice as much as I did to her....
....I just wasn't expecting to suffer the consequences so soon.
"Katsuro, why are you wearing summer clothes in the winter?" Deku questioned.
"It was summer before I came here."
Endeavor glanced at the boy, thoughts raced through his mind as his eyes darted towards Bakugou taking in the furrowed eyebrows and his clenched fists from across the room. He shook tiredly before his voice echoed throughout the room as he spoke, the conversations around him stopping instantly.
"I think it's time we understand exactly what's going on here."
Silence filled the air as the tension rose in the room, Endeavor stiffly sat on the couch as he motioned for Katsuro to sit on the couch across from him. Bakugou saw the hesitation that flickered in the boy's eyes and quickly scoped him into his arms before playing him on the couch and taking the empty seat next to him.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
He stroked his beard in thought as the boy continued sharing his memory of the morning before arriving in the alleyway, listening to every detail and examining it.
Bakugou raked his fingers through his hair as he processed the information eagerly being told by his future son. His eyes glanced tentatively toward Katsuro who had risen from his seat in excitement as he talked about his family members' quirks as well as his own.
"Aunt Chihiro was babysitting me since both my parents had to go out to face villains!" He said animatedly "My cousin Suzume and I were playing near the house, there is a big tree that is like a bridge over a small river. Her foot slipped, I went to reach for her but when I did a bright light shot out at me."
"How old is your cousin?" Endeavor asked deep in thought.
"She just turned five a few months ago."
"Hmm."
Shoto stepped closer as he let out a harsh breath, his eyes briefly made contact with Bakugou before glancing over towards Endeavor.
"It sounds like her quirk activated out of fear, but still a time travel quirk and it was her first time using it...There's not a lot of information to go on regarding when he will go back."
Bakugou rubbed his forehead in frustration at Shoto's words, he had already pieced together that information and to have him repeat it out loud irked him. His crimson eyes glanced down towards the boy now sitting beside him again, he didn't look worried or scared about the possibility of staying here for an unknown amount of time which eased the weight Bakugou felt on his chest.
"Time travel quirks are extremely rare though, only a handful have been reported over generations." Deku rambled.
"It's not unheard of though, Katsuro, does your other parent have a time manipulation quirk?" Endeavor questioned.
"No, but my aunt's quirk allows her to stop or speed up time around her."
"So the kid's quirk mutated to a time travel quirk." Bakugou stated, his voice rumbling.
Since the quirk was a mutation and didn't work exactly how the mother's quirk worked, he knew that it would be harder for them to figure out how exactly the quirk worked or if the kid needed to use the quirk again to bring him back it would be unknown when he would go back home. His mind raced at the thought of having his future son with him for days, months even. Anxiety prickled up the back of his neck as he thought about being a decent father.
"It's rather lucky he ended up here and not somewhere random." Endeavor mentioned briefly while glancing at the clock on the wall.
"You're right! It must have to do with the quirk, maybe there's a limit to how far back a person can be sent? Or it will bring the person close to someone blood related to them?" Deku started to ramble.
"Well-" Katsuro started before all eyes darted towards him causing him to stop.
"Keep going kid." Bakugou encouraged while lightly ruffling his hair with his palm.
"Suzume was talking about old year books she saw of my parents before she slipped, so I think since she was thinking of that time is why I got sent here."
"Bakugou your kid is smart." Shoto said with a monotone voice.
"Of course he is, asshole, he's my son."
"I would have figured he got that aspect from your partner."
Bakugou grumbled angrily as Endeavor raised his hand, stopping the bickering from continuing. Turquoise eyes sternly trained on him as he waited in silence to fill the room again before speaking.
"I believe until he goes back home, the safest place for him to be is with you."
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
The U.A. Class 1-A dormitory stood tall before them, the winter chill starting to bite at Bakugou's bare arms. His mind wandered from the upcoming events of seeing his noisy classmates to his son and his eyes peered over at Katsuro, who was taking in the sight of the campus. The large blazer drenched over his small body in a feeble effort to fight off the cold.
Endeavor had called the school and made the principal as well as Aizawa aware of the situation, giving him as much information as they had gathered from the young boy. When the work study students had reached the front gate, they were met by the tired eyes of the eraser hero.
Shoto and Deku had followed their homeroom teacher into the dormitory willingly while Bakugou slowed his footsteps to a sudden stop. He knew that the reaction he would receive walking in with his son, and was hit with a sudden sense of dread at having to deal with his annoying classmates.
Aizawa's head peaked out from the door of the building, his eyes surveyed the area until they landed on Bakugou and Katsuro's figure. He sighed tiredly before calling out to the two still standing out in the cold.
"Come in, I already explained to your classmates briefly about Katsuro's appearance and stay in the dorms."
Bakugou caught his son's attention as he started to walk towards the building, his feet crunching along the cold grass as he did. Katsuro raced after his father, syncing his footsteps into pace with him as he got closer.
The warmth of the dormitory instantly kicked the chill that had rested over this skin, his crimson eyes quickly surveyed the lounge area as he observed his classmates' facial expressions to see his mini double.
"I heard you have a kid! Where is the cutie?!" Mina mused excitedly as she jumped to her feet.
He jerked his thumb toward the small boy standing behind him, his eyes narrowed as he watched Mina bounce on her toes as she peered behind his figure.
"OMG!" She exclaimed.
"WHAT?!" Kirishima asked, surprised at her sudden outburst upon seeing the kid.
Mina launched herself towards the boy engulfing his small body in a hug as Bakugou sighed and moved out of the way, his feet led him to a resting point and he leaned against the wall.
"HE'S SO CUTE!" Mina sang.
The class gasped at the sight of the six year old boy wrapped Mina's arms, their eyes darted quickly from Bakugou to Katsuro as they took in the obvious similarities the two of them shared in appearance. The ashy blonde hair that seemed to spike in different directions, even though his son's was slightly less spiky compared to his. His lips set in a frown and sharp furrowed eyebrows matched the same expression he was wearing, and the shape of his eyes and nose were a perfect replica of his own.
Katsuro's forehead creased heavily as the arms continued to stay wrapped around him, his e/c eyes burned with frustration and annoyance at the girl beside him.
"Hey, Hag! Will you let go of me now?!" He barked, out causing the room to still in silence.
Mina's body tensed at the insult thrown at her direction, an evident line appeared between her brows as she clenched her jaw.
Bakugou couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips at his son's words. His mouth twisted upward into a smile as he quickly placed a hand over his mouth to hide his obvious amusement from the girl's chilly glare.
The student's had jerked their heads in the direction of Bakugou's laugh that broke the tense atmosphere from moments before. Mina let go of the boy and whirled towards Ochaco with a wilted expression seeking comfort.
"I can't believe he just called me a hag!" She wailed.
Krishima's red eyes wandered to Bakugou's as he sent him a questioning look at the events that just took place. The blonde lifted his shoulders in a half shrug, lowering his hand to show the blatant amused smile playing on his lips.
"Hey kid, I'm Kirishima. What's your name?" Kirishima greeted with a wave and a bright smile.
"My name is Katsuro. I already know who you are! Uncle shitty hair!" He beamed.
Another laugh escaped Bakugou as Kirishima's expression faltered slightly. The red haired boy released a harsh breath while massaging the back of his neck with his hand.
"Glad to know your nicknames live on even in the future." He remarked as he grinned towards his friend.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Katsuro sat merrily on Kirishima's firm shoulders as he led him around the lounge to meet all the students. Bakugou watched from his spot, still leaned against the wall with crossed arms as he took in the slight dimples the boy expressed when he smiled.
His mind wandered as he thought about the few characteristics he didn't share with his son. Even though Katsuro was practically a mini clone of himself, the bright e/c eyes were a stark difference in the two. He watched the boy happily from afar as he ordered Kirishima around the room as curiosity washed over him.
"Woah! Our Bakugou is now a teenage dad, how unexpected!" Kaminari teased as he drew closer to him.
"Woah! You haven't melted your brain today, sparkplug." Bakugou mocked back.
"Ugh! Come on, you have to admit it's funny. Out of everyone here I would rank you lower on the list for the chances of being a teen parent."
Bakugou raised an eyebrow at him as Sero and Mineta wandered over to join the group.
"How so?" Bakugou questioned as he jammed his hands in his front pockets.
"Well, your attitude is so bad that it would be hard to find someone who can put up with it."
"Yeah, outside of this class you don't have any friends." Mineta added in agreement.
"Whoever it is, they must be a saint!"
Sero's eyebrows furrowed in thought for a moment. "I don't think that's true, at least not anymore. Bakugou's competitive for sure and has an attitude, but he always treats his friends good!"
Bakugou's eyes widened slightly at his words before quickly hiding his shocked expression. The others seemed to nod in agreement to Sero's words, thinking back to all the times Bakugou has shown his good side.
"This is making me more curious about who the other parent could be. Do you think they go to U.A.?" Kaminari pondered.
"They obviously aren't in this class, he hasn't acknowledged anyone else as his parent besides Bakugou." Mineta chimed in.
"Ah! I Know!" Kaminari exclaimed, eyes darting towards Kirishima.
Kirishima stood beside Mina, Ochaco, Jiro and Ida as they observed Katsuro demonstrate his quirk in front of them. His palms cracked loudly like firecrackers as sparks popped brightly in the air, a rather big explosion from the six year old's hands made Ida jump back slightly.
"Your quirk is so strong for your age!" Ochaco praised.
"Don't inflate his ego more than it already is, this punk gets praised too much as it is." Bakugou called out from his place across the room, slowly making his way towards his son.
Katsuro blew out his cheeks in annoyance at his father's sudden instructions. He clenched his hands into fists at his sides as he glared up at Bakugou, flaring his e/c eyes.
"You jealous?! EXTRA!" Katsuro fumed.
The sudden silence that followed his remark was broken by the laughter that filled the room as the students beamed happily around them.
"Like father, like son." Sero laughed.
"HE'S JUST LIKE HIM!" Jiro voiced, another fit of laughter escaping her lips.
"It's really a mini Bakugou! He acts exactly like you!" Momo Remarked.
"How does it feel to face off against a younger version of you?" Ayoama teased.
"DIE!" Bakugou roared at his classmates, his nostrils flaring as he sent heated glares around the room.
"Bakugou! That isn't appropriate to say in front of a child!" Ida scolded.
Katsuro whirled around to face the engine hero, still heated from his father's remark from earlier.
"Shut it four eyes!"
"Uh! H-How rude!"
Bakugou annoyance simmered down at the sight of his son insulting the class rep. He let out a sharp breath as he relaxed his shoulders, his mouth twitched ever so slightly into a smirk.
The conversation moved forward as the riotous class settled down, Kaminari approached Kirishima mumbling to him as he gestured towards Bakugou and Katsuro. The red head's face lit up as he raced off to his dorm room, returning a few moments later with a book in his hand.
Kirishima placed the book on the table, opening it to the first page filled with pictures. He gestured for Katsuro to come over and when the little boy padded his feet over to him , he generously picked him up and placed him in the chair.
"What are you up to?" Bakugou questioned catching the attention of his other classmates as they pieced together the situation.
"Amajiki gave me an early edition of this year's yearbook, maybe Katsuro will recognize his other parent in here."
Katsuro flips through the pages, his eyes darted over the portraits of the current student of U.A before his eyebrows become furrowed as he gets to the end of the book.
"I don't see them here..." He mumbled
Bakugou absentmindedly placed his hand on Katsuro's bowed head, waiting a moment for the boy's e/c eyes to turn up towards him before lightly ruffling his hair with his fingers. Katsuro gazed up at him in awe before shaking his head in a feeble attempt at fixing his messed up hair. The soft gaze that greeted him when he glanced back at his father shocked him, it reminded him of how his father would look at him back home in the future and that thought comforted him.
"I'm hungry!" Katsuro stated, changing the subject, a rumble emitting from his stomach as he did.
"Who's in charge of making dinner tonight?" Bakugou questioned Kirishima.
"Pretty sure it's you and Momo."
"Huh? Me? Again?" He gritted his teeth, annoyed.
"What can I say, everyone loves your cooking!"
Bakugou sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, his eyes glanced back at his son who was watching him from his seat at the table.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Mapo Tofu!" The boy exclaimed happily, jumping down from his seat.
The corner's of his mouth turned up into a smile, a sudden jolt of happiness rushed through his body as he took in the bright smile on his son's face.
Of course, he and his son would have the same favorite food.
"Come on, you're helping." Bakugou said as he extended a hand toward his son.
Tiny fingers firmly wrapped around his hand, the two walked towards the kitchen hand in hand. The smiles on each of their faces was seen by their classmates, no one dared to ruin the bonding moment with their mocking.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
(The next few scenes are small occurrences that took place over the week.)
The next few days went by in a blur, Bakugou had quickly gotten used to being a father which had shocked his classmates. Their shock continued when they noticed how good of a father he was at that, the explosive blonde made it seem almost effortless when the two weren't taunting each other.
After seeing the two wholesomely cook dinner together, the class had decided they wanted to keep witnessing the cute bonding moments between the two. Due to that, anyone who was scheduled to prepare dinner the following days would purposely make mistakes so that Bakugou would get annoyed and take over the cooking himself.
"Is everyone here stupid?! Why can't any of you cook?! I should let you all starve!" Bakugou grumbled as he tossed the charred food from the pan into the trash.
He let out a harsh breath as he rolled up his sleeves.
"Move it, ears!" He gestured for Jiro to leave the kitchen, missing the smile that formed when she turned away from him.
"Katsuro! Come help me cook, you are more talented than anyone else here."
The small boy bolted jumped from his seat beside Deku, the movie he was watching being paused quickly before he bolted towards his father's voice. His feet pattered against the wood floors as he excitedly made his way to the kitchen.
The classmate's watched in awe at the soft gaze that overtook Bakugou's face when Katsuro entered the room. Happily observing as the two prepared dinner together, Bakugou assigned his son to wash the vegetables he placed in a bowl before handing them to him.
"We defiently need to keep doing this! Not only do we get to see him being nice, but we get good food." Kaminari whispered towards Jiro.
She nodded her head in agreement as they carefully stole glances at the father son duo in the kitchen.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Bakugou watched Katsuro's face light up with excitement as he watched All Might appear on the screen of his computer. Bright e/c eyes observed in wonder as the retired number one hero saved the day once again in the old clip.
"You know, Deku and I had to fight him in order to pass our final exam."
"What?! No way?! Did you lose?"
"HAH! As if your father would lose!"
Katsuro's laughter rang in his ears as he looked down at the kid sitting in his lap, a lopsided grin formed on his lips at the sight. His eyes wandered to the boy's shoulder where a piece of lint had caught his gaze.
"Well, he almost killed us. I'm pretty sure he broke some bones in Deku's spine during that fight." He picked the piece of lint from his shoulder as he continued.
"Even with quirk restrictors on, he had managed to destroy a whole city street with one punch." He absentmindedly rattled on as he remembered that day.
"That sounds..." Katsuro trailed off.
"Intense?, Cool?"
"Scary..."
"Yeah, it was. Good thing he was the symbol of peace right?"
"Right!"
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Bakugou watched with tired eyes as Katsuro played another round of Uno with Tsukuyomi in the lounge. The sky had turned dark and Bakugou had already gotten himself and his son ready for bed, all that was left was getting his hyperactive kid into his dorm. He yawned as he rubbed his eyes, his body starting to feel heavy and in desperate need of sleep.
"I win." Tsukuyomi stated calmly.
Katsuro grumbled with frustration as he stacked the cards for another round to begin, Bakugou quickly called out to his son to stop him from starting another match.
"It's time for bed, let's go!"
"But it's only 9 pm!"
"What's your point?" He raised an eyebrow at the kid's frustrated expression.
"Can't you let me stay up to play some more?!"
"Revelry in the dark." Tsukuyomi chimed in suddenly.
"Revelry in the dark!" Katsuro cheered happily repeating his words.
Bakougou swooped the boy into his arms, his eyebrows furrowed angrily as he glared at his bird-like classmate.
"Don't teach him that shit!" He barked.
He angrily stomped to his room with Katsuro thrown over his shoulder.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Kirishima and Deku tried to control their whispered voices as they glanced back at the couch in the lounge. They both had been the first ones to wake up that morning and when they came down stairs from their dorm's they were surprised at the sight that greeted them.
Bakugou was sleeping soundly on his back, Katsuro just as peacefully sleeping with his head on his father's chest. A remote lightly gripped in one of Bakugou's hands while the once was placed protectively over the small figure laying on top of him.
Kirishima and Deku shared a glance as they each pulled out their phones, eagerly taking a photo of the two sleeping peacefully on the couch together.
Deku's camera had let out a loud shutter noise as he took the photo, instantly grimacing at the fact he forgot to mute his phone's noise effects.
The noise had made Bakugou's eyebrows furrow as he blinked his eyes open, trying to adjust to the bright light in the room. His eyes surveyed the lounge, settling on Kirishima and Deku with their phones still pulled up and pointed in his direction making his eyes widen slightly.
"RUN!" Kirishima blurted before running down the hallway.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
The day's had passed quickly and it was time for the work study students to return to their agencies. The winter chill had stalled as the weather was warmer and not as frigid as the previous weeks. Bakugou was excited to go patrolling, confident that with the warmer weather that he would beat Endeavor to the crime scenes.
However, when they arrived at the agency he had stated they would be using the training room while he went out on his own, causing Bakugou to grumble in frustration.
"He's doing this on purpose! He knows I'll beat him today, that bastard!"
Shoto stopped training suddenly from across the room to stare at him blankly.
"I believe the more likely reason is that you have a six year old with you who can't go on patrol."
Bakugou grunted angrily under his breath as he made his way from the training machines to the weights where Katsuro sat watching Deku train eagerly.
"Deku! Do something cool!" Katsuro cheered.
"HEH! What's so good about him?" Bakugou mocked, while he cocked head up.
"What? are you jealous number 2?" He taunted slyly, his e/c eyes twinkling with mischief.
Bakugou's eyebrow twitched at the mocking attitude thrown his way, his nostrils flared as his hands tightened into fists at his sides. He jerked his head in the direction of the dark green haired boy who was lifting weights.
"Deku - get over here - before I kill you." Bakugou gritted out between clenched teeth.
The hand weights were placed on the ground gently, careful not to drop them under Bakugou's rage-filled glare. He swiftly made his way over to the father/son duo, a nervous smile formed on his lips as he drew in closer to the two.
"Was there something you needed kacchan?" He questioned, swallowing the lump in his throat.
Bakugou's mouth twitched as he cackled at his nervous behavior.
"Katsuro here was just telling me how great you were and said he wanted you to show him something cool." He jeered.
"O-Oh, well thank you Katsuro. I don't think I have anything amazing to show you though." He placed his hand on his chin while he hummed in thought. "Hm, I have been working on black whip. Would you like to see?"
"YES!" He beamed with excitement.
The corners of Bakugou's mouth quirked up in amusement as he watched Deku prepare himself, knowing full well what was about to happen would disappoint his son. He leaned against the wall as he waited for the show to begin, crossing his arms over his chest comfortably.
A black mist formed slightly on Deku's palms, it slowly shaped itself into a line inched its way outward making it about an inch further than the day he performed it in front of Mt. Lady before it drizzled out. Deku excitedly bounced on the balls of his feet as he rambled about how it was slowly getting longer, while Katsuro's excitement fell from his face causing Bakugou's heart to ache just a bit at the sight of how disappointed he was.
"Disappointed in your favorite hero?" He mocked lightly.
"No!"
"Keh, sure you ain't."
"Whatever! Deku might be a loser now, but he's cool in the future."
"Hm, that's a bit-" Deku sadly began before being interrupted.
"How is he better than me?!" Bakugou criticized.
Katsuro pumped a tiny fist in the air as he confidently stared at the two heroes in training. His e/c eyes twinkled with newfound excitement, as a bright smile was plastered on his face.
"Uncle Deku told me he's going to give me the secret of One for-" Bakugou slapped a hand over his mouth instantly, as his eyes quickly darted around the training room.
A sharp breath released from the One for All quirk holder beside him, he ran a hand through his hair as he tried to steady his anxious heart rate from moments before. Crimson eyes looked at him with a disapproving glare as he timidly darted between confused e/c pupils and his own.
The hand dropped from Katsuro's mouth as he struggled against him with annoyance. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked up at Bakugou with a questioning glare and burning eyes at the fact he had been restricted.
"Idiot! Look around before announcing something private. If it's a secret, keep it a secret." Bakugou scolded lightly while jerking his head away from his son's glaring eyes.
Katsuro tensed as his ears dusted pink from embarrassment at his father's words. He ducked his head, his gaze resting on the floor as he felt the heat rush to his face. The thought of him mindlessly revealing a secret in order to boast repeated endlessly in his head, causing him to remain silent as he reflected. A firm, warm hand brushed the plaguing thoughts away as it rested on his head, gently ruffling his hair in a comforting gesture.
His e/c eyes peeked up towards the figure that stood in front of him, crimson eyes peering down at him with a softened gaze. His hand firmly ruffled his hair once more before being satisfied and pulling his arm back down to his side.
Bakugou exhaled slightly. "It's okay... Do you want to see Deku and I spar?"
"YEAH!" He exclaimed, his happy features returning to his face.
"Go wait over there, and you better cheer for me when I kick his ass." He motioned towards an open area while lightly chuckling.
Katsuro dashed away with excitement, happily preparing himself to watch the two boys spar.
"Geez! that was a close one, thank you Bakugou-" Deku began.
"Looks like even the you in the future can't keep a secret. I can't believe you told a six year old about One For All! What were you thinking, dumbass?!" Bakugou scolded with annoyance.
Deku timidly scratched his chin as he thought about his future self's actions. His eyes closed briefly as his eyebrows knitted before he anxiously smiled back at Bakugou, waiting for the scolding to finish.
"What?!" Bakugou snarled, noticing the smile directed at him.
"I was just thinking how great it is that your son is going to be the successor."
Bakugou tensed briefly before quickly recovering his composure before his childhood friend could catch the slip in emotions.
"Whatever."
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
The sky turned dark as Bakugou chased the hyperactive child running around his dorm at the agency. Katsuro jumped onto the bed laughing happily as Bakugou grabbed him and lifted him up. He dramatically laid him down on the bed as the boy's laughter slowly started to die down.
"Okay, you had dinner and we got ready for bed. It's time to sleep, we have an early morning."
"We can't play a bit longer?"
"Nope! I already extended it five minutes longer the last time you asked, It's time for bed."
"Okay dad." Katsuro mumbled sleepily.
Bakugou tensed at the word he was addressed by, he still wasn't used to being called so affectionately and it shocked him every time he heard his son call out to him. His eyes softened as he looked down at Katsuro's already sleeping figure in his arms, a smile grew on his lips as he thought about the last few days he had with him.
He never expected to feel so connected to someone else before, and once he met his son he doubted he would be able to be a good father so suddenly. However, being around him felt so natural and taking care of him came effortlessly day by day. Some say it's because of how alike they are, but even though he saw all the similarities between them, he also could recognize the differences.
Deep down he wants to believe that even though his son hasn't been born just yet in this timeline and he hasn't met his future partner, that he still has an unbreakable bond that's tethered between him and his son. That there was a connection that led him to turning back the first day and finding him in the alleyway. A connection that grows stronger each day they spend together and depends on the bond between the two.
His eyelids grew heavy as he rested his head down on the pillow next to Katsuro.
"I love you." he mumbled, voice thick with sleep.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
His hands absentmindedly reached across the bed, filling the empty mattress instead of Katsuro's figure beside him. He patted the empty spot beside him a few more times as anxiety started to break through his sleep filled mind.
Bakugou's eyes blinked open, adjusting to the darkness in the room, he looked towards the bathroom to see no light on underneath the door. His eyes darted across the room looking for a sign of the boy when the corner of his eyes caught it briefly.
A faint dim light barely even visible, fading away. The same light he saw in the alleyway days ago when the boy had appeared. His mind raced as he processed the turn of events in the silence of the empty room.
He's back home.
Relieve flooded his body as the weight lifted off his shoulders and he fell back onto the mattress below. His crimson eyes closed as he tried to force his mind to go back to sleep, but an aching feeling started to creep its way into his thoughts.
The silence of the empty room he now resided in became to still, his heart ached at the fact that in the morning he wouldn't get to wake up his son and see the annoyed half asleep face he makes before finally smiling brightly at seeing him and questioning what is for breakfast like he had the last week.
His mind reeled at the sudden feelings of loss as he replayed the memories he had with his son in his head.
Maybe I should have let him stay up for five more minutes so we could play a bit longer.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
The next morning the frigid weather felt as though it came back in full force. The wind blew past Bakugou's exposed ears, numbing them from the chilly cold. He groaned lowly under his breath, thick clouds of air were made visible as they wandered from his lips and out of the high collar of his hero uniform. He noticed dark green eyes would glance over at him every so often from the other side of Shoto's figure, his forehead creased in irritation at the worried glances pointed his way.
"Deku! stop fucking looking at me before you walk into a pole, dumbass." He barked.
His childhood friend's eyebrows rose in shock as his cheeks turned a light shade of pink from being caught.
"Haha, sorry kacchan! Um- just- Are you okay? You know with Katsuro being gone?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Oh, well-"
The conversation stalled suddenly when Endeavor launched himself over the guardrail along the sidewalk, Bakugou and the others quickly moved after him as the faint sound of car siren's met their ears.
The team anxiously prepared themselves for the upcoming threat, propelling through the air while the quick scenery of the city passes by them. The sight of a car crash and a villain floating in the air appeared up ahead as they furiously raced to the scene.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Unbeknownst to them, two figures had been watching from a rooftop building. Crimson red feathers moved slightly from the noisy disturbance down below, sharp golden eyes looking away from the book in his hand to the chaos on the streets.
"Oh, dear... such bad timing." His honey voice said playfully.
He motioned to the figure behind him as he spread his wings and prepared to descend from the roof.
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
The glass villain rushed down a narrow alleyway at the sight of Endeavor, desperately fleeing to get away. Melted glass rained down to the street from the powerful maneuver the number one hero used. The team raced after the villain as they quickly rushed into the alleyway, a few villain's that had teamed up with the glass villain were waiting by the exit ready to attempt a surprise attack.
Endeavor narrowly dodged the attack as he lunged towards the villain, grasping him by the shoulders and roughly pulling him towards the concrete.
Crimson red feathers grabbed the fellow villains by the collars of their shirts and lifted them into the air. Barely a moment later a flash of ice, Deku and Bakugou had rushed past the winged hero as he caught their targets.
"Huh?" Deku mumbled in confusion when the person he was about to kick was no longer in his field of vision.
"Oh, work study students?" The winged blonde mused.
"HAWKS!?" He hesitated.
Bakugou grumbled angrily as his feet landed heavily on the ground, he pivoted with knitted eyebrows towards the number two hero who was smiling happily.
"Sorry, I was just a little faster!" The hero teased.
Bakugou glanced at Shoto and Deku as they landed, the excitement that was boiling in his veins just moments ago was quickly dying out.
"What is Hawks doing here?" Shoto questioned out loud.
"I thought Endeavor was in trouble!" Hawks chirped.
"Did it look like I was in trouble?" He scoffed.
Hawks landed swiftly in front of Shoto, a teasing smile formed on his lips as his playful eyes glanced at him.
"It did, didn't it, Shoto?"
"Sure..."
"I thought I told you to let me know when you were coming." Endeavor exhaled slightly annoyed at his sudden appearance.
Hawks golden eyes narrowed slightly before returning to their normal carefree gaze.
"Well I just happened to be in the area."
Sirens blared through the air as cop cars raced down the empty street, tires screeching as they came to a sudden stop near the scene. Endeavor and Hawks quickly brought the villains to the policemen and started to debrief them on what had occurred moments ago.
As the police moved the villains into the vehicles, Bakugou watched as Endeavor made his way towards him and the others. The winged hero walked beside him, his mouth turned in a lopsided grin as he talked.
Deku approached the two pro hero's excitedly, his body tensing as he greeted hawks.
"N-Nice to meet you! I'm in U.A Hero Course, Class 1-A. My name is Izuku Midoryia!"
"Ah! You're the kid who destroyed his fingers right? I've heard about you from Tsukuyomi."
"Oh! By the way, where is he?"
"I have him following my sidekicks today, while -" Hawks gestured towards where a work study student stood a few steps away. "Y/N is shadowing me one on one."
Bakugou's eyes widened in shock at the familiar features that greeted him, the bright e/c eyes that twinkled with happiness and the corners of your mouth being turned upwards burned into his memory over the last few days. The voices around him became background noise as his eyes trailed your every move, taking in every playful smirk and hand movement as you talked.
His chest rose and fell with rapid breaths as he realized all the subtle similar features you shared with his future son, the heat rose up his neck to his face and turned the skin it touched scarlet. He quickly ducked his face beneath the high collar of his costume in an attempt to hide the growing blush as he flustered helplessly at your sudden arrival.
"Hey y/n! It's been awhile." Shoto greeted, casually.
"Hey Todoroki! Yeah it has."
Bakugou's eyes darted towards Shoto as the greeting between them had brought him out of his thoughts. He sent a pointed glare towards the icy hot classmate as his crimson red eyes met the mismatched pair of turquoise and gray.
"Bakugou, I told you I knew who the eyes reminded me of. It's y/n, we are neighbors."
"Someone had the same eyes as me?" You questioned curiously.
"Well, to be exact it was-"
"SHUT UP!" Bakugou Growled
"But-"
"I said shut your mouth, icy hot!"
Dark messy green hair shielded your view of the two bickering, a beaming smile greeted you as turned your attention towards the person now standing in front of you.
"Don't pay attention to them y/n. It's nice to meet you, I'm Izuku Midoryia or you can call me Deku."
"Nice to meet you. Um, do they do that all the time?" You questioned while stealing a glance at the two.
"Haha, sometimes... Wait, you go to Shiketsu right? I'm pretty sure I saw you at the provisional license exam."
"Yeah! I'm a first year, but I was able to take the test early with the second years."
The bickering grew louder as crackles popped and simmered in the explosive blonde's hand. Bakugou suddenly turned his head towards you and Deku and angrily barked.
"Deku! What are you saying over there huh?!"
"N-Nothing I swear!"
You tilted your head as confusion took over your features at the interaction around you.
"Bakugou greet them, you're being rude." Shoto scolded.
"Don't tell me what to do."
Golden and Turquoise eyes watched the group from a few steps away, a smile twisted its way onto Hawks face as he let out a fit of laughter. Endeavor let out a harsh breath as he sighed, he shook his head downward at the sight.
"Hm, what's all that about?" Hawks quipped.
He rolled his tense shoulders. "Don't ask."
"It looks like one of your work study students fell for one of mine." He said in a sing-song voice. "Maybe we should drop by more often if it's this entertaining to watch them interact."
"I would prefer if you didn't"
Bakugou's voice suddenly broke their conversation, their attention being drawn back to the crimsoned eyed blonde.
"Earlier, I was faster than you!" He yelled as he glared towards Hawks.

â§ Ë Âˇ . Bonus Scene:
That day turned into night as the long patrol ended for the Endeavor agency students. The team stood outside a restaurant waiting for the arrival of Hawks and his students. After the chaos that happened that morning, it was eagerly decided upon by most of the members that a joint dinner would be a good bonding moment for everyone.
Crimson feathers came into sight as Hawks landed swiftly in front of the group, Tsukuyomi and you landing close by shortly after. You greeted the group with a wave as your feet wandered closer to the three boys.
Shoto and Deku eagerly greeted Tsukuyomi, while Bakugou awkwardly stood next to you. His hands stuffed into his pant pockets and face turned away from you as he watched his classmates.
"Don't tell Hawks I'm saying this, but you're right. You were just as fast as him earlier and just barely missed him." You say breaking the silence.
"Heh. I Know."
"What's it like working beside Endeavor?"
"He's a jerk, but he's the number one hero so I want to learn how he handles things."
You let out a lighthearted laugh, the corners of your eyes crinkled as you smiled brightly at him. He stared at you, his eyes softening slightly before he glanced away composing himself. His eyes wandered back to you, a faint touch of pink dusted his ears as he continued the conversation.
You two talked back and forth over a variety of topics, training, school, family before the group was alerted that the table was ready. His pace was steady beside you as the two of you walked behind the rest of the group into the restaurant.
"Do you have a sister named Chihiro?" Bakugou asked, catching you off guard.
"Yes, how did you know?"
"When you have kids in the future, don't let them babysit."
"W-What?!" You stammered, your step faltering.
Bakugou continued to walk ahead of you, his eyes trained on the group ahead of him and refusing to look back. The back of his neck burned as the pink that dusted his ears grew rapidly.
"You can't just walk away without explaining that?!" You exclaimed while walking faster to catch up to him, desperately trying to sync your footsteps once more.
"I'm pretty sure what I said is easy enough to understand."
His head jerked towards you, his chin lifted upwards slightly as a smirk played on his lips.
"Maybe for you, but I would like some more context."
His eyes over your head for a moment before crimson returned to meet e/c once more. His eyebrows furrowed in thought as he pondered his next words, his mouth opened slightly as he took in a quick breath.
"Friday, 5 pm at Ootoya."
You tensed in response, the quickening of your heart beat drumming in your ears as you process the words he said. He grumbled slightly under his breath at the lack of response and the shocked look that had overcome your features.
"Huh?" You managed to mumble out.
"If you want to know more you can meet me there."
"Like, a date?"
"What else would it be?" He said as he started to walk towards the group who had been seated at the table already.
"You know most people would just ask clearly." You tease as you walk beside him.
His steps faltered as he stopped suddenly, turning towards you. He looked into your eyes confidently, his lips held in a stern line as his eyes slowly started to soften the moment they met yours.
"Will you go on a date with me?"
âââŚâââââŚâââââŚââ
Bakugou's eyes opened suddenly, he sat up in his bed as the thought that had forced him awake repeated in his mind.
Tsukuyomi knew you and had met Katsuro, there was no way he didn't realize you were his other parent....
Fuck you Tsukuyomi!

The Last Straw -Shoto x Reader Angst to Fluff
Sorry I haven't posted in a while.. I started working on a request, and then some ideas for a few others and that took all my time, and now I'm in a block and it's really really annoying >.<
This was written a while ago, but I wasn't that confident in it so I decided not to post, but I guess I'll just post it now, so sorry if it sucks </3 | also I had 0 idea what to put for the title :')
Angst to fluff | Fluff(??) ending | 1,497 words
Warnings!: arguing, yelling, cruel words, Shoto being a jerk, self hate, guilt, a teeny bit of self harm (Shoto scratching his face), self doubt, Shoto hating himself :(, kinda open ending but not necessarily
You and Shoto have known each other since middle school. You dated for four years, and have been married for three. You both love one another dearly, and have memorized each other's patterns, habits, preferences, pet peeves, and everything in-between. And besides the rare arguments your life was a dream. Filled with laughter and happiness. Your husband did his very best to provide the best life for you, and he sure did deliver. You were happy, very happy. Key word 'were'.
As crime rates grew higher (ik ik I'm sorry this is probably old >.< <3) the pro heroes gained more hours. And Shoto being the top 3 in Japan led him to take a large portion of the work load. Leaving him with only a few hours to care for his basic needs, let alone a relationship. It was draining really, but you persevered, knowing that it wasn't personal, and that it might would go back to normal soon.
Except, it didn't. It went on for months, and you were crumbling. You would wake up at six to get ready for work to see Shoto dead asleep, arm splayed across your form, face buried into your shoulder. You would smile sadly, kissing his hand softly. After a few minutes of admiring your charming prince, you'd move him to his body pillow that totally did NOT have a cute pic of you giving him an in-love smile on one side and a seductive look on the other, which he grasped onto, burying his face into the pillow which smelt like you.
After work you'd get home to make dinner for two, putting Shoto's portion into a bento for tomorrow. After that you do the chores, relax, and then go to bed, alone. It was tiring, really. Even on his one day off he just slept and you had work so you couldn't even cuddle with him. It was really starting to wear you down. And after the total crap day, you lost it. Instead of going to bed on time like you usually do, you decided to rage clean the house, knocking down all of your 'to do's.
Clean out the fridge?
Check.
Reorganize the pantry?
Check.
Sort through all the piled up mail and emails?
Check.
Deep clean all the furniture and carpets?
Check.
After all of this, you finally admired your work before glancing at the clock; 3:53. Cursing, you quickly move to get to bed, only stopping as you hear the front door creak open. Freezing, your eyes grew wide -and hopeful- as Shoto walked in, a few bruises scattering his body.
His hair was a disheveled mess, and his suit was soaked with grime from the day. His eyes were exhausted as he took in your frozen form, not quite recognizing how late you stayed up. As you studied your husband, you noticed how dark his eye bags were, and how his exhausted eyes raked across you, sinking in the sight. You blushed as you realized you were only wearing your undergarments and one of Shoto's shirts.
"Sho-"
"What are you doing awake?" Shoto asked, moving inside and closing the door.
"I had a crap day and-" you paused as you heard Shoto scoff as he moved to disregard his hero costume, setting the gear onto the newly cleaned floor.
"Why.. why did you scoff at me?" You ask, confusion and hurt consuming your thoughts.
"It's nothing y/n."
"It's not nothing Sho."
"Just drop it y/n."
"Fine! I will."
"Finally." Shoto murmured, causing you to swerve your head toward him.
"Finally?! What is that supposed to mean?"
"Gosh y/n! Just leave me alone!"
"Leave you alone?! Shoto- we've hardly talked to one another in months!"
"Are you implying that that's my fault?! I have to work y/n! We can't survive on your wage now can we?" Shoto spat, heterochromatic eyes filled with anger.
"I'm just saying that it's unreasonable for you to get mad at me talking to you, when the last time we talked in person was when I dropped off your forgotten bento two weeks ago. Which made me late, and caused my crappy boss to scream at me. But I didn't complain, because I got to talk to you."
"I'm exhausted y/n. I just want to sleep. I'm sorry you got yelled at, but it's your fault for annoying me at work. Punctuality is important. Maybe your lack of it is the reason why you didn't get accepted as a hero."
At Shoto's words you just stood there, mouth agape. Your failure at becoming a hero was a huge insecurity of yours, and you trusted Shoto to comfort you, to be supportive of your heart crushing failure and help you get over it. But, instead he's just rubbing it in your face.
"T-that's not fair and you know it."
"Oh yeah? I think it's more than fair. In fact, I have a lot more to say to you if you're going to be like that."
"Excuse me?! What the heck is wrong with you!?"
"You're what's wrong with me. Moron!"
Your voice caught in your throat as tears threatened to spill. Unaware of your distressed state, Shoto went on, spitting insults with such venom that he didn't sound like himself.
"You're completely useless y/n. All you ever do is spend money and nag me."
"Your 'job' isn't worth anything compared to mine. If you were useful enough to become a hero you'd at least make something. But no~ instead you played around, got bad grades, and snuck into a boy's dorm. Distracting him from success."
"You do nothing in this house that I payed for."
While Shoto went on and on the tears fell down your face. As Shoto's words grew harsher and more venomous he took a step forward, backing you into a wall, step by step. As your back hit the wall you called out to Shoto who didn't even seem to hear you.
"I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I MARRIED SOMEONE LIKE YOU!"
"SHOTO STOP IT! YOU'RE SCARING ME!" As you screamed at him you broke down in sobs, body sinking to the floor. Shoto froze as he heard your sobs, finally being pulled to the moment he looked down in horror to see your shaking, sobbing form. As he stood there stunned, all of his words knocked him to his knees, leaving him hyperventilating as he clutched at his aching heart.
Did he.. really say all.. of those horrid things.. to you? As he remembered every word that he said and your face as he said them he completely broke.
His screams echoed through the night, drowning out your retched sobs.
Your sobs slowed as you looked up, concerned for your love. Yes, he hurt you. A lot. But you still cared for him, and you knew that if he was left to his own thoughts he'd imagine something bigger. Something terribly horrifying.
So, moving to your knees, you moved your body to his, his face buried to the floor as he screamed. "Sho baby.." you whisper, tears falling down your face at his broken state. When he didn't respond, you gently placed a hand onto his shoulder.
As soon as he recognized your touch he jerked away, rolling away from you pitifully.
"NO! GO AWAY! I-I-I'LL HURT YOU AGAIN-" At his own words he broke down in sobs, nails clawing at his face savagely.
"Shoto stop that!" You exclaim, lunging to grab his hands. Shoto just weakly resisted, attempting to pull his hands out of yours and toward his face, whispering the words "no" and "leave" repeatedly.
After a while his sobs ceased, and he just let you hold his hands, which you did so gently, caressing them lovingly as you gazed into the broken eyes of your beloved. His eyes were blank, as if the burden of hurting you caused him to pass away silently.
But you could tell by his small breaths and the warmth of his hands that he's only attempting to cope. After a while you were drifting to sleep when your attention was grasped by Shoto's hoarse voice.
"Y/n.. I'm really sorry. I don't know what came over me.. I'll understand if you want to leave."
"Sho Baby.. I'm not going to leave you. And thank you for your apology. But.. you hurt me, a lot. And no, no you are not like your father and no you are not a terrible person nor husband. You just made a mistake. Everyone does. And I know that I've messed up in the past. And did you leave me? No. You stayed, and we worked things through together. Shoto, we will go back to normal. And you will learn from your mistakes, okay? So please, please don't hate yourself. If you beat up on my baby then you'll hurt me further."
Shoto just nodded, eyes tearing up again as he wrapped his larger form around you, nuzzling his face into your neck desperately.
Yeah I don't know, I felt like I rushed the ending?? Hope you enjoyed!

Endeavor sucks so here's a rant cause i've seen too many people say he isn't that bad lately
(CW / TW for abuse, ptsd mention) going in best order of episode events, but also including manga spoilers (sections are indented so you can skip the manga parts)-
this is pulling from source material but also very opinioned based. I get people saying he's an interesting character (kinda) but i hate seeing people excuse what he did because "aww he feels bad now." like him if you want but hating on other's for not liking him is just stupid.
it will also be long, but I have a lot of thoughts, hope at least some people agree with me lmao
i started typing this around when ch 390 came out so i know this has all been said before but with the new season coming out and like i said more people defending him i wanted to finally post this
"The Boy Born With Everything."
"That kid of mine will beat you some day, I'll make sure of it. That's why I created him."
Endeavor admitting he only had kids to be heroes, ones better than All Might, shows he does not truly care about his children. He only wanted them because he couldn't handle his failures. He sees them as a tool, not as his own kids, not as people. That's obvious in almost everything he says to and about Shoto.
And while I hate him, he isnât a failure hero wise. Heâs literally the # 2 hero out of however many hundreds there are. Heâs simply mad he canât beat AM? What is he a child who thinks he deserves everything he wants because heâs never been told no?
When Shouto finally used his fire Endeavor yelled about him finally realizing his âpurpose.â More proof he sees his children, Shouto specifically, as tools. They aren't humans to him, they don't have their own feelings or goals, they are a means to an end. A means to his end. Shouto overcoming his own guilt (guilt caused by Endeavor) doesnât matter to him. What matters is he now feels Shouto is worth something.
Class 1A vs 1B (i dont remember the exact episode names)
the flashback we get after Tokoyami talks to Shouto we hear Endeavor say, âTouya was close⌠Come on Shouto youâre the only one who can master this move.â Endeavor was putting the weight of his dead son's âfailureâ on the shoulder of his 5 (?) yr old kid. Making the kid who just lost his older sibling feel like he has to be better, or he could die too.
âQuit pretending to be weak.â Bro that is your very young kid. He is weak. Train him early, sure, whatever, but this is just abuse. You arenât training him. Pushing your kid to the point of throwing up isnât just training. It isnât him being weak. Itâs abuse.
I know this show is very flashback heavy in the first place but I really do interpret all the flashbacks Shouto gets of his dad as PTSD. Often times when fighting and in battle, after getting hit, he has memories of his dad. Sure, this could just be his motivation but I think itâs more than that.
"The Unforgiven."
"I thought if I saved you, that you might never say a word to me ever again." Aka Endeavor saying, "I should save my son, so he maybe likes me again." Natsuo my beloved. I love when he is an ass to his dad. His own son is saying he could never forgive him because why does he "need to be the one to make an active effort to change?" and that even though Endeavor wants to make up what does he think he can do now? Natsuo will always see his dad as the one who killed his older brother, and I don't blame him. Because that is who Endeavor is.
"He literally says in the episode he doesn't want forgiveness." And? He doesn't deserve it. He doesn't need to make Natsuo feel better for hating him when he has every right to after what his dad did to him and his entire family.
Sure, this episode is us seeing a "change" in Endeavor because he wants to be better, however, this is my post so I will say why I have a problem with this lmao. When did we see Endeavor start to change? After he became the number one hero. After he realized people were going to be looking at him even more.
The only good thing he does is realize that in order for his family to be happy he cannot be in the picture.
"Dabi's Dance"
Not including all the scenes I want to bc if I did, I'd just insert the entire ep lmao
"Oh, but he is changing. He regrets his actions." Why didn't he have regrets years ago when, to everyone's knowledge, his 13 yr old son had died? Endeavor didn't start feeling "guilty" until he became the number 1 hero. (as stated before)
And yes, we see and hear how upset Endeavor was over Touyaâs death, but did he change? Did he stop being abusive and neglectful? Did he apologize and see his faults? Nope. So how bad did he really feel.
Dabi himself called him out on this during "Dabiâs Dance" when he said, âIs that why you finally decided to try to bond with your children? Keep looking toward the future and you can be a better man?"
On top of it all, Endeavor didnât even step in to fight. Yes, he was shocked seeing his dead son in front of him again, but do you not think Shouto was shocked seeing his dead brother? He still fought.
Chapter 350
Many people say Dabi was born in the fire. However, that isn't true. Touya didn't die in that fire. He died and Dabi was born 3 years later when he went back home and had seemingly been forgotten about. He woke up in a strange place, covered in burns and sounding completely different. He wanted to go home. He wanted to apologize for all the awful things he said. He was told that he has been severely injured and once again that he was a failure. He was scared and alone. So, he goes home thinking he will be accepted with open arms, that maybe everything would be better, and everyone will celebrate yet he gets there, and his dad is still the same. Abusing his siblings and his mom is gone. Not only that but to Touya's POV, he has been replaced by his younger brother.
Plus does that not show you who Endeavor is as a person? That even after pushing his son to death he didnât change.
"The Wrong Way to Put Out a Fire"
i won't include any clips or panels from this bc it is very intense and while this post will talk about it i still don't want to include those pictures
Going ahead and getting this out of the way because people love bringing it up for some reason, while what Rei did to Shouto was awful, obviously, it is not even close to being on the same level as the things Endeavor did to the entire Todofam. Rei was scared to look her own kids in the eyes because when she did, she saw Endeavor. She saw Endeavor's rage and feared for her safety, and in a moment of a clear panic attack and mental break defended herself, because look at Rei and tell me that woman doesn't have PTSD.
If the entirety of this ep didn't make you hate Endeavor and see he is incapable of change then idk what to tell you. Him convincing his very young child that his sole purpose is to be the next number 1 hero. He then finds out his kid physically won't be able to do that he tells him that he simply isn't good instead of sitting down and talking to him.
Buying Rei because he wanted to create his perfect child, then forcing her to be some baby machine. (Random fact that always haunts me is that Touya and Fuyumi were born in the same year.) Abusing Rei repeatedly. As well as, hitting her in front of the kids with a very young Shouto between them while the other two hide in a corner. Blaming Rei for Toya continuing to train when it is his own fault. Then on top of that, not going to Sekoto peak. He could have shown up for 2 seconds but no.
We also see another instance of Rei seeing Endeavor in her own kids when she tried to stop Toya from going and training like when Shouto came to check on her when he was little.
When Touya had a breakdown and tried to kill Shouto, instead of seeing the pain Toya was feeling and realizing his own mistakes, Endeavor just isolated Shouto from his siblings. Didnât let him play with them, by what Natsuo said at dinner he monitored what he ate and when.
Also, I donât wanna her âDabi was insane from the startâ after trying to kill Shouto. That was an abused child, turned neglected child, asking to be seen. Begging to be looked at. He, like Rei later on, snapped. He realized that if he wanted to be seen then the only one his dad cared about needed to be gone
Chapter 390.
Shouto finally shows up and brings Dabi down. Somehow Dabi is still alive and this is where he states that everyone, including him, should die. Endeavor then apologizes. Sure, he apologized, better late then never, whatever. However, it just really feels like he is speaking over Dabi. Dabi could be dying, could be saying his last words, and Endeavor starts talking. I will say I like how he acknowledges exactly what he did in some way. That he "pushed Rei past her breaking point", "put everything on Fuyumi's shoulders", and "abandoned Natsuo." It just all feels so empty and really doesn't mean anything with his entire family burned and scarred and Dabi lying on the ground, as well as Shouto passing out.
Endeavorâs âIâm sorryâ only goes so far when his son is lying almost burned to death yelling for them all to die, Shouto over working himself to stop Dabi when even his dad couldnât, and his non hero family standing on the battlefield as well.
In conclusion, Endeavor is an abuser. He pushed his 13 yr old son to death, pushed his wife past her breaking point then sent her away, neglected his other two children because they weren't what he wanted, and only felt bad after he achieved his dream. After he got everything he wanted despite it being built on a broken home and the victims he created along the way.
Like I said if you want to like him that's fine, but don't get mad at others when they don't like him. The Todoroki subplot hits home for a lot of people. It is a very serious and real situation. Take away the hero aspect and Endeavor is just another abuser in the world, something many people have been through.
Anyways if anyone read all of this hope you enjoyed. Hope some people agree. If you didn't leave an ask or comment lmao let's debate.

Okay random but I hate the way NO ONE headcanons Shouto right when it comes to having a chubby girlfriend. Itâs always âhe doesnât care about size/ doesnât see size/ he so sweet, heâll give you forehead kisses if youâre feeling down about your bodyâ like NO! Shouto DOES know that his girlfriendâs chunky and he fucking loves it. He gets a whiff of insecurity from you and heâs fucking you raw on the patio deck and doesnât give a flying fuck about the neighbors (whoâs gonna call the cops on the number 3 hero anyway???) He LIVES between your thighs and gets hard every time you put your full weight on him. He possessive as fuck and has his hand up your skirt and on your ass constantly and donât you even think about pulling away, this man is so clingy he will literally embarrass you in front of everybody, and itâs not that he doesnât know, he just doesnât care. At an event for too long? He will start whining and begging you âjust let me taste itâ in front of ANYBODY, the media, his fans, his pastor, he DOESNT GIVE AF. Got separated from you for 20 mins and immediately got on the microphone at his own brotherâs wedding to tell you to drop whatever you were doing and meet him in the supply closet because heâs hornyđĽş. Shouto whoâs so jealous when it comes to your attention that you two actually have arguments about it (the arguments in question being you getting mad at him for threatening some innocent random guy and him rolling your nipples between his fingers muttering âwhatever you say, beautifulâ) One time you even broke up with him over him almost fighting Shinsou for âflirtingâ with you (even though Shinsou was egging him on). Not only did he not accept it, but continuously showered you with gifts and acted exactly like nothing was wrong. Donât want him to walk you home? Heâll interpret it as you donât want TO walk home, heâll just call his chauffeur. Leaving his place in a huff? Heâs throwing you over his shoulder and bringing you back, smacks your ass for good measure. Heâs also a total perv who canât get enough of you. He canât even masturbate without having you perched on his thigh, soft chubby arms wrapped around his neck while he pumps himself to the sight of you. Sweet talk him and heâs instantly blowing his load all over the both of you. Speaking of sitting on him, he loves to have you sitting on his lap while heâs kissing and nipping at the soft, warm flesh of your neck, but he almost always ends up getting carried away and putting his hands places they shouldnât (like up your shirt in the middle of a restaurant). Also loves to rub your belly after a big meal, it really activates his breeding kink and makes him want to stuff you full of something else. Anyway, I just feel like no one really captures how utterly bold, possessive and perverted he can be as if he didnât grow up a spoiled rich kid from a family with a genetically high libido
me rolling around and crying and cumming
you sit on his lap n kiss at his neck while the sound of wet skin flaps in the back of your head :( shotoâs little moans, the raspiness in his voice when he begs you to kiss him on the mouth a little ohhh <\3
âhis fav thing to do is fuck you against walls bc of how tightly you cling n clench on him <333

Makes me sad how post canon a lot of fans put less significance in Shotoâs relationship with Natsuo. My ideal is equal love in different shades between all 3 brothers.
I think it was a pity how Hori didn't give any attention to Shoto's relationship with Natsu (or Rei or Fuyumi and even Endeavor for that matter) in the epilogue.
It's really hard to know where they are after Natsu leaves the family. I guess the fact that he offered a ride to Shoto implies that Natsu intends to keep in touch with him, but I think in the timeskip, Shoto should have gotten a scene with his siblings to confirm that indeed they are still in touch.
I also fully understand Natsu leaving the family and disowning his dad, but it makes me sad that his exit de facto dumps the "eldest son" job on Shoto. Given that the whole family crisis kind of revolves around the fact that Endeavor disregards the birth order and treats Shoto as his successor over the elder boys, I kind of hate that he gets what he wants in the end once/if Toya dies and Natsu having left.
I really don't want Shoto having to shoulder that responsibility alone, especially for the parents who did nothing but hurt him - but also given that he's the "hero" and they've been better, I know that he won't just ditch them.
So in reality this will for sure cause some strain to his relationship with Natsu - but I think Shoto will push it away and will try to be happy for Natsu's new family. I don't know how Natsu would include Shoto though, because if he wants to protect his new family from the Endeavor scandal, and since Shoto is out in the public eye, well-known to everyone as Endeavor's son, will he even let Shoto meet his wife and future children? Or will he keep in touch just in secret?
It's not very clear to me, but I do think it's going to be a complicated relationship.

I'm curious why you like shinso/Baku?
I mean I ship it too. I just want another perspective on why you like that specific uncommon ship?
I like Bakugo and I like Shinso! I think that they have compatible personalities. Shinso was told he had a powerful quirk, but it was dangerous, people were scared of him, and he spent his whole life trying to erase himself from a room until he could figure out how to overcome that. Bakugo was hyped up all of his life until he ended up having a huge ego, but he still constantly put in the hard work to be able to show he earned every drop of his self-importance. Shinso, by the time he is training with Aizawa, is not taking anyone's shit anymore. He's going to be a hero, and he knows the people whose opinions of him matter won't discriminate against him because of his quirk. He has sass and an attitude(albeit a deadpan one), and he would give as good as he got if he and Bakugo got into a fight, and he might even be able to cow Bakugo because he's good at reading people. Bakugo would hate that, but it might be something he needs. He has too much baggage wrapped up in Izuku, he and Shoto took a long time to become friends and even then it might be a while before Shoto is ready to think beyond friendship given he's barely figured that out so far, and the 'bakusquad' also has unrealistic expectations about him. Dating someone outside of his immediate circle who can keep up with him with his wit and his words could be good for him.
And because I'm me: I also have to say that Shinso's quirk would 100% be used in the bedroom by them. Bakugo would definitely say he doesn't like it, that's some freak shit, but he would absolutely melt like a puppy dog to have someone else take control of him so completely for a little while. He puts so much weight on his own shoulders that being "forced" to give it up to someone else would be a massive relief for him. And on the other side of the dynamic, Shinso has never gotten to use his quirk outside of training or in the field because his quirk is 'evil'. Even as he becomes a hero, it's with the thought that people will always be expecting him to go too far and turn villain. But he does like his quirk, he does want to be able to use it without hurting people. Having Bakugo trust him to do that and even showing him how much he enjoys it, would be incredibly gratifying for Shinso

Ichijiku (Tigress)
âWhat color do you think we should paint the nursery?â I hum, looking through the different color swatches in the store. Three colors draw my eyes to their soft, comforting tones: mint green, dusty blue, and a lilac purple.
âYou seem to be eying the purple. Do you want that one?â Shoto brushes his hand against my back. âIt looks nice.â
âIâm leaning towards the lilac, but what do you think?â
He picks up the three shades and spends a minute looking between them. I canât help the smile tickling my cheeks at his focused expression.
âLetâs take these three paint swatches home so we can get an idea of what itâll look like on the walls.â
âGood idea.â
. . . . .
We make it home and sleep calls my name. One long shopping trip has always been enough to tucker me out anyway, but with a full child growing inside me? My bottom finds the couch instantly and I puff out a heavy sigh as I flop into the cushions.
âDo you need me to get you anything, love?â Shoto takes a seat beside me.
âIâm just tired, Frosted Flames.â I coo, stretching one hand to squeeze his as my eyelids flutter dangerously. âBut I could use a peppermint tea if you donât mind.â
âI donât mind. Iâll get it started while I put away the groceries.â He gets up again and kisses my forehead. âDonât try to get up and do anything. Let me take care of you.â
Of course, when I hear the bags shuffling even my desire to sleep canât fight against my stubborn streak. Just the thought of Shoto having to put away everything and still have to make my tea makes me grunt and struggle to my feet.Â
I reach down for a bag, thinking heâs got all the heavy items, and wince when I wobble at the unexpected heaviness of the bag.
âStop, youâre going to hurt yourself!â Shoto exclaims, catching me before I topple over into the table. After a breath, he cups my face. âI didnât mean to get loud. You scared me.â
âSorry. I hate seeing you have to do all the work.â I frown.
âI know, Tiger, but you have to be careful. If you overextend yourself, you donât just hurt yourself now. You have others to look after.â He kisses my cheek and squeezes my hands. âNow, go rest and Iâll make your tea. Homura and Himari should be coming back from Mom and Dadâs within the hour.â
âAre you sure I canât help a little?â I pout, letting my kitten eyes glow up at him.
âIf youâre insistent upon helping, you can do the dishes. Thereâs only a few in the sink. Will that satiate you, troublemaker?â He chuckles, pinching my cheek.
âI think so.â I giggle, and head to the sink.
As I finish up the final few dishes, a flurry of white flashes outside the window showing the outside. I lift my head up and gasp, drying my hands and tapping Shotoâs side.
âShoto-kun, look!â
He comes up behind me and his head thunks on my shoulder as he looks with me, his hands coming up around my waist and resting on the sides of my belly. At first, I think heâs missed it, but then I hear his breathing stop.
âIs that a rabbit family in our backyard?â
âThereâs been one that Iâve seen off and on in the garden, but I didnât realize she had a whole family!â I coo happily as the furry critters scamper under the rosebush.
âLooks like weâre not the only growing family here.â Shoto smiles and nudges me. âNow, come on. Iâve got your tea ready. You go rest while I finish the groceries and take a nap if you want to.â
Iâm halfway through my mug of tea before Iâm passed out on the couch.
. . . . .
âDaddy! Daddy! Look whatââ
âShh, Mommyâs asleep, Homura.â
âOops.â
âHow has Ichijiku been doing with the pregnancy, Shoto? No complications?â Mom's voice pulls me towards consciousness, though I keep my eyes closed and my breathing steady.
âNo complications, just restless like she was last time.â Shoto explains.
âDaddy, we played Rescue with Grandpa and Grandma let us help her make dinner, like Mommy.â Himariâs voice chirps softly. âCan we visit them tomorrow, too?â
âWell, weâll see.â Shoto chuckles.
âYou know weâre more than willing to watch over them as often as you need.â Dadâs voice, always deep and stern, is surprisingly soft. I have a feeling he appreciates us giving him time with his grandkids. Natsuoâs been pretty adamant about distancing himself. âEspecially since sheâs in the 32nd week.â
âI know. We appreciate it, Father.â Shoto assures him. âThough the girls like helping Ichan around with things she still has trouble with. Donât you, girls?â
âYes, sir!â They chime in unison.
A smile forces itself on my face, so I open my eyes and yawn. I stroke my belly absently as two little girls with their fatherâs blue eyes barrel in my direction.
âMommy! Youâre awake!â Homura is quick to crawl into the little hole on the couch behind my back, and Himari squeezes herself in there too. Both of them rest their head on my arm and look at me. âGrandma let us help her cook like you do!â
âIs that so?â I grin, reaching up to boop each of their noses. âWhat did you make, little loves?â
They turn to Mom, who laughs.
âVegetable tempura.â
âShe helped me cut the kabocha!â Himari beams.
âAnd I got to mix the sauce!â Homura puffs out her chest. âAnd then before that, Grandpa let us play Rescue!â
âReally? Who did you rescue?â
âGrandpa!â
âHe needed help being saved from a fire!âÂ
âYeah.â Himari tries to whisper, but thereâs no doubt the whole house hears her. âIt was make-believe, Mommy. Grandpa donât get hurt by fire.â
âOh, okay.â I whisper in much the same manner. âI gotcha. You were very brave for helping him, anyway.â
âYou really think so?âÂ
âI donât think, I know!â
A little more conversation and I do my typical workout of heaving myself off the couch. Of course, Himari and Homura help push and pull to make the effort easier. Then I waddle over to give the in-laws a hug before stealing a kiss from Shoto.
âWe appreciate everything you both do to help.â I reiterate, yawning once more for good measure as I head into the kitchen. Although Iâm aching to feed my sweet tooth with M&Ms or chocolate-covered pretzels, my body craves fruit in this third trimester.Â
I pull out a few bananas and start slicing them as Shoto waves Mom and Dad out the door.
âYou make your fruit, Iâll get the girlsâ ready for bed.â Shoto suggests, nodding towards the girls. âCâmon, girls. Letâs go brush our teeth and put on our pjâs.â
âAww!â Himari huffs.
âCanât we stay up a little longer?â Homura begs.
âNot tonight. You have school tomorrow.â He picks them both up and hugs them against his chest. âBut Iâll tell you what. If you do well with your bedtime for the rest of the week, maybe Iâll talk with Grandma and Grandpa about spending the night this weekend.â
âOkay!âÂ
When he sets them down this time, two sets of footsteps tear down the hall towards the bathroom. I pop a few slices of banana in my mouth as I shake my head with amusement. I love them so much.
The girls head towards me for bedtime hugs and kisses when I feel it. I wince after I pull back and hold my stomach as Shoto leads them to bed. Shotoâs voice carries down the hall as he reads to the girls while I finish my snack. About ten minutes later, Iâm walking down the hall to join him when another sharp, cramping pain crackles through my back and abdomen.
âIchan?â Shotoâs at my side in a moment. âAre you okay?â
âI should be fine for a bit longer.â I assure him, breathing deep and steady. âBut you might want to call the parents to come back and watch the girls for tonight. I have a feelingâŚâ
âIs it already that time?â Shotoâs eyes widen.
âI think so.â
Car lights signal Mom and Dadâs return when my water breaks. Talk about timing. I grip the kitchen counter and swallow thickly. Time flickers by in a blur as my sole focus suddenly becomes the steady ebb and flow of pain as three little boys plan to make their debut.
âItâs gonna be okay, Ichan. Weâre almost there.â Shoto reassures me as he helps me through the hospital doors.
One moment Iâm in a wheelchair and the next Iâm squeezing Shotoâs hand so hard I swear I feel his bones creaking. Itâs 7 hours of remembering to breathe and Shotoâs whispered encouragement and doctors and nurses and pushing until a cry cuts through the room.
For all that work through 7 hours, his brother comes three minutes later, and their youngest brother makes his debut in another four. The symphony of three wailing babies graces my ears and prompts me to relax. My eyes lock in on three little bodies with limbs flailing before I search for Shoto.
âTheyâre here, theyâre here.â Shoto whispers, wiping the hair out of my face and caressing my cheek before kissing me. âYou did wonderful, love. Theyâre going to clean them off so we can hold them.â He promises.
Three bundled blankets with three heads of red peach fuzz return to us and tears glitter in my eyes as Shoto and I go to each boy in turn, giving them their fair share of love.
âWeâve got our work cut out for us.â Shoto smiles at me.
âFor sure. But the first task is to pick names.â
âI know you had a few in mind.â
âI do.â I agree, thinking over the list Iâve been filing through in my mind. I look at the three little faces looking back up at me and it suddenly seems so clear. âEiji, Enji, and Emiko.âÂ
It doesnât surprise me that Shoto snaps his head to me.
âEnji?â
âI know youâre still working on your relationship with him, but theyâre my three little boys. My three little protectors. It seems only fitting.â I explain, eyes fluttering as my body winds down from the effort and adrenaline. âEiji is a name meant for protection through peace and prosperity. Enji, of course, your father has shown heâs capable of protecting the masses. And Emiko is meant for protection through smiles and joy.âÂ
âYouâve put a lot of thought into this, havenât you?â
âI learned from Himari and Homura that so long as I have a collection of names to pick fromâŚtheir names will usually come to me after theyâre born.â
Shoto looks at our three boys for a moment, then looks back at me, much softer.

The roommate
<----Previous
Part XIV
They have a nice dinner and Izuku decides not to mention anything so Shoto and he can enjoy their night, although part of him is still thinking about it.
Katsuki arrives early in the morning and the noise coming from the entrance wakes Izuku up, he moves carefully so Shoto can sleep a little bit longer and puts something on to greet his other boyfriend in the living room.
"How was yourâ" Izuku gets cut off by strong arms around him, lifting him from the ground suddenly.
Katsuki pulls him close to his chest and kisses him all over the face like he was away for a month instead just a couple of hours.
That's getting weird.
"I'm glad you're okay."
"Of course I'm okay," Izuku mumbles, narrowing his eyes at him. "Why wouldn't I be? I'm not the one who risks his life every day, you and Shoto are."
"It's not the same."
"Kacchan..." Izuku says as a warning, pulling away and prompting Katsuki to pout. This is getting a little bit irritating, especially because he knows there's a reason for this kind of behavior and no one wants to tell him. "What's going on?"
That's when he feels a kiss on the top of his head and realizes Shoto is already up. Even better because he needs an explanation.
"Let's make breakfast first."
"Shoto..." Izuku narrows his eyes, putting both hands over his hips.
It's actually Katsuki the one who takes a deep breath, exchanges a look with the other pro hero before putting both hands on top of Izuku's shoulders.
For a moment Izuku can see all the concern in those red eyes and he starts worrying too.
"What's happening?"
"Do you know about the disappearances?" Shoto asks carefully, hugging Izuku from behind.
"A little bit," he admits. "My coworkers started talking about it at work."
"We haven't caught the fucker yet," Katsuki growls, looking like he hates the villain already, well... Izuku can't blame him for that, he's kidnapping innocent people.
"But what does have to do withâ"
Shoto cuts him off with a kiss on the back of his head, burying his face in his wild, green curls for a moment.
"At first we thought they didn't have a pattern, that they just picked random people on the streets; they're all adults, but they could male, female, different ages, different jobs... And that didn't help with the investigation at all."
"But then ponytail..."
"Kacchan!" Izuku scolds him lightly, stroking his cheek, Katsuki takes the opportunity to hold his hand and kiss his knuckles. They have talked about the nicknames he uses for the people he knows, that one isn't particularly rude, but he uses a couple that are not kind at all.
"Sorry," he rolls his eyes. "Yaoyorozu realized that none of them were single."
"Okay... I get it, you're worried because I'm not single either."
Katsuki shakes his head and Shoto leans to kiss Izuku's cheek.
"We also found out they all are in some sort of relationship with a pro hero."
"And you're dating two," Katsuki finishes before pulling Izuku to give him a possessive kiss on the lips. He's obviously worried, they both are.
"That doesn't mean they're coming after me, Kacchan." Izuku whispers, feeling a little out of breath, his cheeks are probably pink.
"But you're certainly at risk," Shoto argues, before turning him around to give Izuku a kiss too.
"That doesn't mean you should change your work schedules for me!"
"It's already done," Katsuki informs him with the stubborn determination that Izuku recognizes perfectly well. He knows nothing will make him change his mind. "You knew us well before starting dating us. Overprotection comes with the package."
He's right, of course he is.
Izuku sighs.
"Alright... Just don't... over do it."
He notices that none of them say anything to that, but he supposes he can deal with that later.
"Let's have breakfast together."
Izuku really hopes they catch the villain soon.
***
The next days are a little bit difficult for Izuku; it's not like he doesn't appreciate his boyfriends' concern, it's just that he's used to take care of himself.
They have changed their shifts so Izuku doesn't spend a single minute alone; it's fine for the most part because he loves them and likes when they keep him company, but knowing the main reason behind it makes it a little less... cute.
It's okay. Izuku knows they're under a lot of stress at the moment, considering they haven't caught the person responsible and now they also have to keep an eye on him.
They have become a little bit clingy in the past days too; Izuku usually finds himself with Katsuki's arms around him and resting his cheek against his chest; Shoto sits him on his lap or sometimes he sits on the floor, right below Izuku so he can place both of his freckled legs over his shoulders.
"Listen... My day off is tomorrow and I know how busy you two are so I've decided I'm going to spend it inside the apartment andâ"
Shoto and Katsuki look at each other before the blond pro hero nods.
"I'll take a day off tomorrow, Izuku."
The green haired man sighs.
"You're not listening, I'm going to stay inside... So you don't have to worry."
"The villain could break into the apartment," Shoto argues.
"Well, yes... But you told me all the other people have been taken from the streets," Izuku protests. "So it wouldn't make too much sense to suddenly change their MO for me."
"You could be right, but that doesn't mean it'd make us feel better; I know we'll both be distracted during work thinking something could happen to you while we're busy doing something else," Katsuki says, voice shaking, red eyes filled with so much worry and fear, Izuku feels immediately sorry. "Don't ask me or Shoto to go through that..."
"I won't."
It's fine... they're definitely many benefits of having one of his boyfriends home. Although Izuku ends up covered in bite marks the next day; he needs to use a turtle neck to go back to work the next day.
"I bet I can leave more on him," Shoto says that night, when he finally sees them.
"Oh, it's on!" Katsuki smirks, prompting Izuku to blush to the tip of his ears; he shouldn't feel so flustered at this point, it's not the first time something like that happens after all.
Izuku has to use turtle necks and long trousers for the next days and it doesn't help that his co-workers are constantly glancing at him with smirks on their faces.
"We're happy for you, Midoriya!"
"Please, stop talking!"
Izuku is embarrassed, but at least it takes his mind away from all the kidnappings for a while.

snippet of 'time' on wattpad
Shoto and Y/n have been coerced into marrying each other but seem to be unable to actually have a proper conversation. After Shoto saves her from a villain he realises it might be just him shes not close to.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" Why did you leave the house?" Shoto mumbled to you as you walked side by side to his apartment. You couldn't help but absorb the sights that were offered to you by Shibuya.
" Are you going to help him?" You asked, looking at another druggie who had fallen on their face and was struggling to stand up.
Shoto had a thought that he was very ashamed of, one that reminded him of before he had made friends with Midoriya at UA, it also reminded him of the phone call they were meant to have in two hours.
" Yeh, I'll help." He mumbled going towards the man and helping him sit up against the wall, he was going to be done with it until you went up to the man and started asking where he lived.
" Excuse me." You shook him, your voice quite gentle as if you were speaking to a child. " Do you know where you are?" You asked, getting a few murmurs in response.
" Sir?" You put your hand out and Shoto almost slapped it, however, he didn't want to seem like a performative hero who only worked for fights so stood by your side as the man placed his hand in yours and stood up.
" Let me take you to the police station and they can take you home okay?"
Shoto almost groaned, feeling like this was a waste of time, there were hundreds of drunks around, they were just smart enough to stay in alleys and not come into his viewpoint.
" Shoto where is the station?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He ought to have slapped you for bringing him on such a mundane task. He had originally wanted to dump the man and go, yet here you were getting chummy with the police.
" I saw that as well, the little cosplay shop, the girls were so pretty!" You exclaimed sitting on the shared desk of two officers.
" It's so nice hearing about it from someone not from around here." The female one smiled pinching your cheeks as if you were a child.
" Do you really not have it where you're from, oh yeah, you guys are proper workaholics you don't leave work cause you're scared people will judge." The male one teased.
" That's actually true, everyone there is around you guys' age and they always want to stay in the office, that's why we don't have as much fun as you lot here." You pointed at the man you brought in. " I bet he had a really fun night, almost jealous."
" It's nice of you to bring him in, but remember, you don't need to, there are hundreds on one street, they're usually still alive in the morning alright." The male one ordered though he found it refreshing that you brought him in.
The female one nudged your shoulder, " So how'd you get Shoto to come with you? Wanna know if there's a site for this stuff wouldn't mind meeting up with Eraserhead."
" Eraserhead?" You tilted your head.
" Oh, he's underground she's really obsessed with him, forget that, how'd you meet the hottest hero of the year." He pointed at a magazine page that had been ripped out and pasted on the wall, with Shoto looking deeply at the camera with a soldering look lasering your heart immensely.
" He's my roommate."
There it was again, you calling him your roommate as if the nuptials weren't binding. He felt that you hated him and that you were very good at hiding your feelings as proven with your crying last night and your avoiding speaking with him.
" Roommate huh?" She raised her brows at you trying to allude to something more.
" It's not like that, I'm waiting till -" You stopped yourself from saying marriage realising you were married. You almost laughed at the irony.
" I'm waiting, plus I prefer Dynamight." You whispered to the two hoping Shoto wouldn't hear.
" You kids these days always go for looks and never personality, that man is so rude, he's only good for catching villains and a camera nothing else." The male one shook his head in disappointment.
" You're right," you admitted, " it's his looks his personality scares me a bit." And turns you on you would've mentioned if it was one of your close friends.
" I understand, I find Eraserhead very attractive but he seems very scary and sorta boring."
"Wait search him up I wanna see what he looks like." You mentioned shuffling yourself so you were sat at the other side of the computer.
" We could talk about pro heroes that we find attractive."
" We can look at Mirko edits after this." You exclaimed.
Shoto stood up abruptly sensing your drift into another conversation topic. If only you spoke this easily with him.
All three of you turned to him with a quirked brow.
" What's wrong?" You spoke up first thinking he might be sick or claustrophobic or anything, you were very bad at reading people that's how you always seemed to overshare.
" I think it's time we go home." He told you, his voice stern as if he was your carer.
" Yeh, course sorry for keeping you up." He turned to the two others in your company, " he's been very busy since early morning nonstop working, heroes need breaks too. It's hard thinking about how much they sacrifice to keep us safe."
" You're completely right, I remember when I saw Mirko work for 2 days straight because the villainy just wouldn't stop."
" Same with Dynamight I heard that he-"
" Y/n."Â He called feeling you about to get dragged into another conversation.
" Yes coming." You called. " Nice meeting you guys."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" So why'd you leave the house?" Todoroki asked again, checking if you were just avoiding conversation with him.
" I was hungry." You shrugged.
" Oh, do you want me to buy you something?"
" You don't need to I've got money." You replied bashfully, not wanting this stranger to pay for your food and you'd have to owe him money.
" No it's fine it wouldn't affect me much." He urged feeling like he owed you for what he put you through.
" Please let me buy it myself." You begged, wondering why it was such a big deal since you'd always find a way to make your friends pay for this type of thing.
" Ok." Shoto complied realising that you wouldn't drop the fencing you put up that separated him from being your friend and kept him on the border of stranger.
" Thank you."
Late Night
Todoroki x reader
Summery: endeavor being a hoe and Shoto needs comfort
Masterlist
You had just got in from work, ready to get ready for bed. You took your hero suit off, laying it by your closest. You get in your sleep clothes and set up Netflix on your tv, ready to jump right in bed once you get food. You plug in your phone, leaving it on your bed, and go into your kitchen, making a snack to eat while you watch tv. You glance at the clock, and it is just around midnight. You make soba and get a glass of water and head back to your room. You settle in for the night, turning on your show and relaxing.
After a while, you start getting sleepy. You look at your phone, and it's 2:30 am. You turn off your tv and lay down, slipping into sleep. Right as you felt yourself start to fall asleep, you hear a light knocking at your bedroom door...? You weren't sure who it could be. You clench your fist, ready to fight. But then again, if it was an intruder, why would they be knocking? You slowly sit up and turn over, on high alert, ready to jump up. You see a dark figure standing in the doorway, squinting your eyes, starting to adjust to the darkness, and recognize the figure. "Shoto...?" You reach over, turning on your light to see him clearer. "Sorry. I figured you were asleep. I used my key to get in." He said, motioning to the door and walking a few steps further into your room. You look at him curiously. It wasn't like him to walk in without calling you or knocking.
Even though you had given him a key to your place, he always called or texted before he came, or would at least knock, never entering without you knowing he was there or on his way. Something was wrong. "Sorry. I should've knocked. I'll leave." He says, stepping back about to turn and leave. "No, no. What's wrong?" You say, jumping up and reaching to grab his arm, which feels hotter than usual. Being closer, you can see how upset he looks. "What happened?" You ask again. He shakes his head, "I couldn't stay home. My dad has been driving me crazy about work and the agency. I just needed somewhere to go. Away from the yelling." Shoto had grabbed your hand, not looking at you ask he talked, just playing with your hand in his.
You knew how much he hated still living at home. His dad had refused to let him move out, thinking he would find ways to be distracted from hero work and the agency. Endeavor also hated that his son was dating you since you worked for Hawks' agency, thinking it was a "conflict of interest." You lift your hand, placing it on his cheek, making him look at you. "It's late. Come lay down." You say, walking with him to your bed. "I made soba. There's still a little leftover if you want it." You say, climbing to sit on your bed. "Yes. Thank you." He says, smiling a little. You hand him the bowl. "Do you wanna talk about it?" You ask. He shakes his head no, continuing to eat. "Here's some water too." You say, handing him the glass. "Thanks." He says, grabbing it. He takes it from your hand you see the liquid in it freeze over. "Sorry. I'm just still a little upset." He says, switching it to his other hand to melt it. When he does, not only melting the water but the glass melting onto your bedsheets as well. "S-sorry." He says again. "No, no. It's ok." You say, trying to comfort him. "Um. I should go. Sorry for waking you." He says, trying to get up and leave again. "No. Shoto, it's ok. Just relax, don't worry." You say, holding on to his shoulder.
He sits back on your bed, putting the bowl to the side and laying down, pulling you down with him. He lays with his head tucked into your neck. You lift your hand, gently stroking it through his hair. "Are you going to the agency tomorrow?" You ask. "No." He says, his eyes closed, and you feel his body become less tense. "Ok. Neither do I. We can spend the day together." You say sweetly. You can tell he's asleep when his body becomes less cold/warm. After that, you finally can relax and fall asleep, holding him tight and close.
In the morning, you woke up from the sound of banging on your door. You opened your eyes, blinking a few times to come to reality. You sat up, slowly sliding from Shoto's arms to go and answer your door, wondering who it was this early in the morning. Rubbing your eyes, you walk up to the front door, opening it. You open it and see a very anger Endeavor on the other side. "Why is Shoto not at the agency?" His anger voice says. "Good morning to you too, Endeavor." You say. "I know he's here. He stormed out last night and hasn't come back. This is the only place he has to go." Endeavor says. "I'm flattered. Have a good day." You say sarcastically while moving to close the door. His big hand reaches to stop the door before you can close it. "Get Shoto and tell him to come immediately." He orders. "Why? It's like 7 in the morning. Is it an emergency?" You ask, obviously annoyed. "That is in no concern to you." He says.
You see Endeavor look past you. You turn around and see Shoto walking from your room. You hadn't noticed that Shoto changed from the clothes he came in. You always kept some clothes at your place for him to wear, and he changed into some sweatpants, with no shirt. You turn back around, looking at Endeavor, who looks furious, as usual. "Why are you here?" You hear Shoto ask. You feel him put his hand on your waist in a protective way, pulling you back against him. He never liked when you had to deal with his dad. He knew how he could be and didn't want you around him too much. "You need to be at the agency today, Shoto." Endeavor says. "I told you. I'm not coming in," Shoto says sternly. "This is not the time, Shoto. You need to come in." Endeavor says. "I said, no," Shoto says, his hand tightening around your waist.
You feel him start to pull you, making you go more inside, standing behind him as he walks up further to the door. "Shoto. Now is not the time for these childish games." Endeavor says. "Leave, Endeavor. I'm not coming in," Shoto says, his voice getting deeper and more serious. "You'll never be the number 1 hero if you stay this immature." Endeavor says before turning and leaving. Shoto closes the door, letting out a slow breath. "You ok?" You ask, walking up closer to look at him. He doesn't respond. He turns to you, bending down and throwing you over his shoulder, walking back toward the bedroom.
He lays you down on the bed, climbing over you. He sits against the headboard, pulling you to lay on him. "Tv?" He asks. "Yeah. Sure." You say, reaching for the remote. You turn on a show, relaxing on him. You lightly rub your hand up and down his stomach and abs, trying to help him calm down. Shoto leans down, kissing your forehead. You spend the day watching movies and cuddling, having a good day, not thinking about the outside world.
â ď¸MHA CH. 362 SPOILERSâ ď¸
Okay, just fully caught up on the MHA manga and Iâd like to share my thoughts. I read from 258 to the latest chapter after re-watching seasons 1-5 of the anime.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
⢠Had previously read the 1st war arc, not much to say on that except the scene with Mina freezing up while fighting Gigantomachia still makes my blood boil. Iâm gonna make a separate post talking about this but Mina is literally my favorite woman in the series besides Mirko. Itâs established early on that sheâs both exceptionally strong as well as courageous. Her fumbling in this moment doesnât fit her previous characterization at all and seems like another classic example of the girls just being used to make their male classmates look better. Donât get me wrong, I ADORE Kiri, but that moment should have been Minaâs! Sheâs such a vibrant character and deserves time in the spotlight and the one time weâre it seems like sheâs about to get it, it gets stolen from her. Makes me so sad. :(
⢠THE VIGILANTE ARC WRECKED ME EMOTIONALLY!!!! Izuku has been my biggest comfort character for the past like 4 years and I both loved and hated seeing him acting alone. He was like a total badass and I love seeing his growth and this arc was great for his development, but MAN. Like Ocha says in her speech, HE IS LITERALLY A HIGH SCHOOLER! Seeing this poor kid try and shoulder responsibility for the future of his entire nation if not the world is heartbreaking. Izuku is genuinely such a good person and deserves to be loved and supported, seeing him try to tackle this huge problem alone was so sad. I wanna hug him so bad.
⢠Loved seeing more of Toga! Another one of my favorite characters, sheâs just so interesting. I honestly really hoped she was gonna get a redemption arc, but it doesnât seem like thatâs the direction her character is going in. I just really feel for her, sheâs just a kid too and has been a victim because of her quirk. I thought it would be really cool for her to get a second chance and maybe decide to help the heroes because of her love for Izuku and Ocha. Regardless, the scene where she confesses to Izuku was hilarious. Seeing him blush after getting asked out by a serial killer had me wheezing. 10/10 would recommend.
⢠The UA traitor reveal was sooooo cool! Iâve always liked Toru and firmly believed she wasnât the traitor bc it was just too obvious to be true. Glad to see that hunch was correct, but I am surprised it ended up being Aoyama. Always thought he was just kinda a gag-character. So great plot twist, and Toru was so cool during the confrontation! PUT SOME RESPECT ON MY GIRLS NAME!!!
⢠Shotoâs development throughout the series is second only to Izuku imo. Heâs come so far and itâs wonderful to see, he deserves to heal. He handled Dabiâs reveal in such an emotionally moving way, and he looked so cool during their fight! Sometimes I genuinely forget how much I like him; heâs just so well written!
⢠The stakes have progressively ramped up throughout the series and Horikoshiâs done a great job conveying this, but I gotta say seeing Mirko and Aizawa get so hurt was really hard. Theyâre def my two favorite pros. Also Crust sacrificing himself for Aizawa?! Oh. My. God. Obviously Crust hasnât really been a super relevant character so I wasnât attached to him, but seeing the look on both his and Aizawaâs face? Gut wrenching; made me cry. I think Mirko is still so cool with her prosthetic tho, I hope Aizawa is able to get his eye fixed and return to the fight directly as well. I know he hates watching from the sidelines, unable to protect his students.
⢠SHINSO MY LOVE!!! His hero costume is so cool!!! And Iâm so glad heâs confirmed to be joining the hero course next year. :)
⢠OH MY GOD TENYA CAME THRU! Iâm a huge Iida fan and hate seeing him get overlooked. I feel like heâs been pretty absent since the Hero Killer arc despite being one of the protagonistâs closest friends, but he had a couple of cool moments during the vigilante and 2nd war arcs. I JUST WANT MORE SCREEN TIME FOR THE CLASS REP
⢠Okay now for the big one, Katsuki Bakugou. I have a lot of conflicting feelings about him as a character as well as his death. Kats is another exceptional well written character, especially after his motivations and feelings about Izuku and All Might are revealed. I like Kats as a character because heâs complex and interesting to watch, but that doesnât mean I think heâs necessarily a great person. Katsuki may not be a villain, but I donât really think heâs a hero either. I find most of his actions and motivations to be entirely self serving, a stark contrast to Izuku, who is everything that a hero should be. For a majority of the series, he operates without regard for anyone elseâs feelings and is generally unkind and even cruel. He only wants to be a hero because he wants praise and recognition, to prove heâs better than everyone else. I donât think that you can really be a hero if thatâs your motivation for doing so. A real hero needs to be compassionate above all else. While Katsuki receives good character development throughout the series and eventually recognizes Izuku as a legitimate rival instead of an obstacle to crush, he never becomes kinder. And itâs honestly heartbreaking to watch Izuku continue to seek validation from someone whoâs mostly just been mean to him their entire lives. At the end of the day, despite his strength and accomplishments, Katsuki Bakugou is still a total jerk. He doesnât even apologize to Izuku until the vigilante arc, and afterwards doesnât bother to adjust his attitude. Yes he may be more open to working together by that point, but is it because he really cares about anyone elseâs feelings, or does he just know that itâs the only way to win? I donât know. Either way, if someone has to die here, Iâd much rather it be him than most of the other prominent supporting characters. His death also makes sense from a plot standpoint. Despite how toxic their relationship is, Izuku still cares for Katsuki deeply, and his death would have the most impact on the story. But then again, theyâve pulled the âoh no thereâs no way they could have survived⌠SIKEâ thing with several other characters at this point so I wouldnât be surprised if he doesnât actually die. At this point, I could take it or leave it. I will say tho, he looked awesome with that new gear during the fight with Shiggy.
I Hear A Symphony - Shouto Todoroki x Reader
â Back to Navigation â
DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of these characters, they belong to Kohei Horikoshi
Event Masterlist - MHA Masterlist - Main Masterlist
WARNINGS: None!
Requested by: @vdoesthingsâÂ
(Hii! Can I request a Shoto Todoroki fic with "I can hear a symphony" by Cody Fry? Also love your writing so muchh)
A/N: Thank you so much for your request as part of the Sing To Me event! I had a TON of fun writing this one as I kinda delved into something I hadnât written a ton about before *cough* support course *cough*Â and Iâm pretty happy with it! I hope you enjoy, and again, thank you for participating in the event!
Word Count: 1.6K
Shoutoâs life was so simple, everything planned to a âtâ. He would be forced to wake up at ungodly times by the person he hated most in the world and immediately put to work. An hour on the treadmill, an hour lifting, and an hour training his quirk. Then, he would be given a breakfast that was chock full of proteins and supplements - he was told it was good for him, but there was never any flavor to it. Then he would be off to school at UA. He guessed that his time spent there did add some variance in his life, but it was not enough to rock the boat he was currently sailing. He would have chats with Midoriya from time to time, but that was basically it. What he wanted in his life was something more than what it was. He couldnât lead this tasteless life forever, because if he did, he was sure he might just go crazy.Â
âAlright class, listen up. Today we are playing host to the support class. It is part of their curriculum to not only help patch up your hero costumes and support items, but to make suggestions and experiment on their own. Each of you has been given a student to partner up with - if I hear of one of you trying to switch your partner with someone else, Iâm not afraid to assign an extra packet of homework,â a single groan from the class was heard, âto all of you.â The entire class contributed to the cacophony after that comment. âAnd please, do not give them much trouble. They are students, just like you, learning the ropes. Okay then, now that weâre done with that, please welcome the students of Class H-1.â The door of the classroom slid open to reveal 20 students, all dressed in the U.A. uniform with boxes and duffel bags hanging off their shoulders and arms. At the front of the group was Mei Hatsume.
âAlright! Time to get to work! Whoâs this⌠uh Iida? Whoâs Iida?â She shouts, causing Class 1Aâs president to stand with a start.
âI am Tenya Iida! The guy who you used as a walking advertisement in the Sports Festival!â Mei looked to the side with a cheshire grin.
âNever heard of ya!â Then, a sweet voice graced the room.
âMei, youâre holding up the rest of the group - mind if we come in the room too?â
âOh! Sorry, Y/N/N, didnât mean to hold you guys back!â Then, the floodgates opened and the students of class H-1 descended upon the room. Shouto looked around to see everyone pairing up, so he decided to just wait at his desk - it was probably easier that way anyway.
âTodoroki?â The same sweet voice he had heard before, the one that asked Mei to move out of the way earlier, called his name. Turning around, Shouto saw you. A heavy looking duffle bag was thrown over your right shoulder while a tape measure and several fabric swatches were draped over your left. In your hands were two boxes - one that looked like a tool box and the other that looked like a briefcase. Immediately, Shoutoâs hands were grabbing onto the duffle bag as it began to slip from your shoulders. âOh! Thank you, the stuff in there is pretty heavy though, so be careful,â your warning came a bit too late as the bag slid into his hands and then ended up on the floor, pulling his arms along with it. Shoutoâs eyes widened a bit, wondering how on earth you couldâve carried it slung around your shoulder when it weighed that much.
âMy apologies,â he said, somewhat sheepishly. He looked up to your face, expecting an expression of distraught, but instead there was a wide smile.
âNo worries at all - Iâve done that way too many times. Iâm just glad that the stuff in there is strong enough to not scratch easily!â You say cheerily, letting the duffle bag stay where it was and placing your boxes on Shoutoâs desk. You let the fabric and the tape measure settle on top and then reach out your hand to Shoutoâs. âIâm Y/N L/N, your new support item consultant and designer.â You say proudly. The red-and-white haired boy accepts your handshake and nods.
âMy hero costume isnât really that interesting and doesnât call for many support items, so it might be a bit boring. Iâm sorry for that.â Shouto admits, a little embarrassed to see you pulling out his hero costume. It was true, though. When the forms were sent out asking what kind of hero costume he wanted, all he put were the necessities. Something where the fabric was flexible enough to do hero work in and one that was comfortable. He left the colors, style, and little accoutrements up to the designers.
âI wouldnât say itâs boring at all,â you say, scanning over Shoutoâs costume. His eyes watch yours as they dutifully take in every detail - you looked like a professional at work. âI think it has incredible potential though. Youâve got all of the necessary stuff here - a good base, flexible but not easily breakable fabric, and sturdy looking combat boots. It just needs to be personalized.â Shouto cocks his head at your last word.
âPersonalized?â He repeats, earning a nod from you.
âYeah! Like, letâs see⌠whatâs your favorite color?â Your question made him pause and think.Â
âI,â he begins, his eyes now just on the hero costume in your hands, âI donât think I have one.â He can see the little frown sprout on your face which makes him immediately want to retract his previous sentence. For some reason, he just didnât like seeing that frown on your face - it didnât look like it belonged there.
âThatâs okay, letâs just start off with something else then. I was watching a lot of footage of you competing at the festival and just training, and I noticed that whenever you use your fire side, that sleeve burns off.â This earns a nod from Shouto. âWell,â you say as you take the fabric that was the same color of the blue of his hero costume, âIâve been experimenting a lot with different kinds of synthetic fabrics and developed this.â You hold it out in front of Shouto for him to touch. âThis fabric has the same feel and flexibility as the one youâre currently using, but I modified it so that it can withstand the temperatures both your left and right side produce.â Shouto looked at the fabric warily and then back to you. This caused you to giggle a bit at his reaction. âGo ahead, try it out.â You say as Shoutoâs left hand reached up to it. A small but concentrated flame burned at the fabric, but it left no scorch marks at all.
âThatâs quite impressive,â he says, stunned at the fabricâs durability.
âThanks!â You beam, meeting Shoutoâs eyes. âIt took me forever to get the formula right, but now that Iâve got it itâs become my new speciality!â You put the fabric back and then begin talking to him about the other points of his costume. The two of you talked about his boots and the possibility of adding ice picks to the bottom, the implementation of a thermal regulator, and even a device that lets Shouto know the exact temperature of his own body and what he was outputting. The conversation, really, was just you telling him about everything, but he quite liked it that way. Seeing you so excited, so marveled at your own creations and life just brought him joy. If he was just dull background music, you were a symphony. You were violins and cellos, french horns and flutes. You were brimming with an energy that Shouto has forever longed to have and experience. The more the conversation between the two of you continued, the more he felt himself leaving the out-of-tune bass he had once occupied and becoming drawn into your loveliness. And, as Aizawa called out to the class that there would only be five more minutes to this meeting, he realized he never wanted to leave it.Â
âWell, I guess I should pack up and take off,â you say, your voice a little sad. âItâs been really fun to finally meet you and talk to you about your costume! Hopefully weâll have another class like this to catch up soon!â You chime, slinging that heavy duffle bag over your shoulder with ease and gathering the fabrics and boxes into your arms. Shouto stood there with nothing coming from his mouth until you had almost walked out the classroom door.
âAh, wait!â He said, drawing the attention of everyone, including you. âWhat if we could, maybe, talk about it more this weekend?â He asks you, earning gasps from a few of his classmates. Was Shouto Todoroki actually asking someone out?! The smile that is spread across your cheeks makes him forget all about the audience the two of you had attracted.
âDefinitely! The card I left you?â You asked, causing Shouto to dig into his pocket to find it. âIt has my number on it, in the hopes that you would ask me.â The red-and-white haired boy shook his head and smiled. âMaybe then you could tell me your favorite color? I have a feeling itâs white, but I like to be surprised. So let me know then, âkay?â With a nod and a wave from Shouto, you shoot him one last grin before you follow your classmates out of the door. He didnât tune in any of the questions from his classmates he was being berated with, instead thinking about his favorite color. White, he decided, was quite a good color. If itâs what you suggested, he thought, then itâs perfect for him. That beautiful little melody that you wove through in around his heart had captured him completely. And he loved you for it.
notes : thank you love :( iâll do denki and kiri in a part 2!!
! : also here you are all mights niece, you live with him and he raised you.
[ bakugou ]
> he wanted to keep it secret because the bakusquad are annoying as hell and you probably wouldnât get a minutes peace
> he isnât interested in you because youâre all mights neice
> truthfully he couldnât care less, you were just some extra like everyone else at first
> but he noticed you staring at him and sneaking glances at him so he got curious
> he loves watching you fight you never fail to mesmerise him when fighting especially when using combat as well not just your quirk
> when you started dating it was easy to keep it a secret because youâre both in the bakusquad
> your relationship would include sneaking out of eachothers dorms at 5am
> sneaking kisses became easier after months of practise and routine
> itâs exciting especially watching bakugou frantically grasping at straws trying to make up an excuse for you being alone together
> âOF COURSE IM NOT ALONE WITH THEM DUMBASS THE OTHERS WERE MEANT TO BE HEREâ
> the way they find out is because of bakugous jealousy
> your friends are slowly catching on, they notice how heâs a little softer with you especially when you game together
> âY/N CREEPER BEHIND YOUâ *insert bakugou laughing at you screaming*
> you emit couple energy even if you donât mean toÂ
> which lead to the bakusquad trying to find out for themselves
-> scenario
> its movie night with the bakusquad and youâre sat inbetween bakugou and denki as usual
> denki always puts his head on your shoulder or someones lap usually heâs sprawled over you bakugou and kiri on the sofa
> he yawned a little placing his head in your lapÂ
> bakugou eyeing him before rolling his eyes jealous blasty boi
> after a couple minutes he was starting to get comfy and placed your hand on his head hinting at you to play with his hair
> you rolled your eyes at his puppy eyes and just played with his hair
> mina saw you and squealed âYOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE TOGETHERâ
> okay to say bakugou didnt get that mad is a horrible lie
> man was trying so hard not to yell, you could practically see the fumes coming from his nose
> you decided to ignore her because if you were to look over at bakugou itâd be a dead giveaway
> so denki is shifting around the rest of his body is in kiriâs lap and heâs just shamelessly flirting with you
> but usually he wouldnât be so forward
> ây/nn since weâre both single do you wanna go out togetherâ
> man was winking and getting closer to your face so you thought he was joking
> âyouâre so fucking dumb denkiâ and youâre about to throw him into kiris lap but bakugou finally snaps
> âyouâre not going fucking anywhere with them sparky!â
> *everyone watching him like ?;ÂŁ2*
> âwhyâs that bakugou?â you basically face palmed internally as soon as that question was asked
> âbecause theyâre My fucking s/o extrasâ
> yeah the bakusquad has suspicions of you and knew that if youâre dating then bakugou wouldnât let anyone flirt with you
> jealous bakugou supremacy <3
[ todoroki ]
> honestly you probably manage to keep it a secret for like 11 months to a year
> like todoroki doesnât talk to people outside of his friendship group unless heâs being talked to
> the only reason he wanted it to be a secret is because of his father, he didnât know how heâd react to his âprized quirk experimentâ dating his rivals neice
> frankly he didnât want to find out
> he wanted to be able to hold your hand at least and he hated not being able to go out to eat
> being the niece and son of two of the top pro-heroâs meant you were basically never left alone in public so being together is public was a fat no
> midoriya and iida often come around to shotoâs so he invited you over multiple times before you started dating and when you started dating it was a lot more frequent
> fuyumi and natsuo knew only because of the way he looks at you and itâs kinda the only time you get completely alone away from your class so heâs a lot more affectionate at home and his siblings knowing wasnât an issue to him
> he was a little worried since endeavor knows what you look like so he tried to dance around his schedule to avoid the inevitable interaction between you and his father
> endeavor noticed todoroki being a lot more calm and focused during the interning and he had no clue why uNTIL he came home to you and todoroki laughing until your stomach hurts at a terrible cheesy movie while sho is trying to feed you soba
> he didnât say anything he was just grateful that after all the pain he put todoroki through he has someone to let him forget about that even if itâs for a second
> next time todoroki went to endeavors agency he asked about you
> âshoto are you dating y/n l/nâ
> he didnât see the point in lying so he just said yes
> to his surprise his father didnât pry any further he just nodded and everything went on normally
> since his fear of his dad finding out was now gone he didnât see a point in hiding your relationship anymore
> so youâre just joining the others for movie night and he sits next to and plays with your hand before getting a little sleepy and laying his head on your shoulder
> cue everyone yelling at you both
> âyou guys are a little late itâs been almost a yearâ youre laughing at them while theyâre just like :0?:ÂŁ:
