The night had draped its shadowy cloak over Musutafu, casting an eerie stillness over the bustling city. The only sounds were the distant hum of traffic and the soft rustle of leaves as a faint breeze blew through the trees. The city skyline glowed faintly, a haze of light pollution against the pitch-black sky.
Todoroki Shoto stood on the balcony of his high-rise apartment, the chill night air biting through his casual clothes. His dual-colored hair, a stark contrast to the darkness, swayed gently in the breeze as he gazed out over the city he had sworn to protect.
Shoto had just finished his shift and was savoring a quiet evening with his beloved girlfriend. Todoroki brought a steaming cup of tea to his lips and took a sip. He reflected on his life, recognizing it as fulfilling and stable.
It had been years since he graduated from U.A. Now a pro hero, Shoto was known for his unwavering dedication and unparalleled control over his quirk, a perfect balance of ice and fire. He had faced countless villains, saved innumerable lives, yet nothing had prepared him for the battle that was about to unfold very, very soon.
Celeste sat in the living room near the balcony, a gentle breeze wafting in through the open door. She was engrossed in a book, her amber eyes skimming the pages. The rustling of leaves and distant sounds of the city provided a soothing background.
Feeling the weight of her boyfriend's gaze, she raised her head, her eyes meeting Shoto's. A soft smile spread across her face, filled with warmth and affection. "Hey there," she said, her voice as gentle as her smile, and second later, she returned to reading her book.
Shoto and Celeste had met shortly after Todoroki graduated from U.A. High School. Shoto had already begun his career as a pro hero, and Celeste, with her healing quirk, often assisted heroes in need of medical care. Their paths crossed frequently in the field, and it wasn't long before Celeste noticed the deep, unspoken pain behind Shoto's stoic exterior.
Intrigued by the quiet hero who always seemed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, Celeste made an effort to get to know him. She saw the shadows in his eyes, the haunted look that spoke of past traumas and inner turmoil.
As they spent more time together, Shoto gradually opened up about his troubled childhood, his complicated relationship with his father, and the emotional scars that still lingered.
The more Celeste learned about Shoto's past, the closer they grew. Her empathy and kindness slowly chipped away at his defenses, and he found solace in her unwavering understanding.
Their bond deepened, built on a foundation of mutual respect and shared vulnerability, and before long, their friendship blossomed into a deep and loving relationship.
Celeste had been a constant source of warmth and solace in his life from the moment the two met. Her quirk, a powerful healing ability, had earned her respect and admiration in the hero community. But it was her unyielding spirit and genuine kindness that had captured Shoto's heart. She had a way of seeing through the facades people wore, helping them find their true smiles. She was a constant source of cheerfulness, radiating light and positivity wherever she went. Her laughter was contagious, and Todoroki found himself cherishing it immensely.
Yet, in recent weeks, Shoto had sensed something was off, a gnawing worry that he couldn’t quite put his finger on. He had noticed cracks in her facade. Moments where her smile seemed way too forced, laughter that didn’t quite reach her beautiful eyes. He had attributed it to stress, the pressures of her own hero work weighing heavily on her shoulders.
Tumblr media
This evening was different. This evening, the shadows seemed deeper, the silence heavier.
Inside, the apartment was dimly lit, the soft glow of a single lamp casting long shadows across the room.
Shoto felt a knot tighten in his chest as he called out her name upon returning from his hero shift, his voice echoing through the seemingly empty apartment. "Celeste? I'm home."
No answer.
Panic started to creep in, an unfamiliar and unwelcome sensation. The silence that greeted him was unusual. Normally, Celeste would be bustling around the kitchen or reading a book on the couch, always ready with a warm smile. Concern tugged at him as he moved quickly through the rooms, his heart pounding louder with each step.
The bathroom door was slightly ajar, a sliver of light spilling out into the hallway. Shoto approached cautiously, his breath catching in his throat as he pushed the door open.
Celeste sat on the tiled floor, her back against the cold porcelain of the bathtub. Her usually vibrant brown hair, with its distinctive patch of bright red, was disheveled, cascading over her face like a curtain. She wore a long-sleeved sweater, even in the warmth of the apartment, but it was pushed up to her elbows, revealing the fresh, angry cuts marring her skin.
The bright red streaks on her forearms stood out starkly against her pale, delicate skin, deep and raw. Blood trickled from the wounds, mingling with older scars, and pooled on the pristine white tiles, creating a macabre contrast. Each breath she took was shallow and shaky, her chest heaving with the effort.
The razor blade was still clutched in her trembling hand, its edge stained crimson. More blood dripped from the blade, joining the spreading puddle beneath her. Her amber eyes, usually so full of life, were distant and hollow, tears streaming down her cheeks, mixing with the blood on her arms.
The sight was harrowing: streaks of blood had smeared across her skin where she had wiped at her tears with her hands, creating a grotesque pattern of red on her face. Blood smeared her wrists and fingers, and small droplets had splattered against the walls as well, painting the room in a chilling tableau of her anguish.
The room was silent, save for the occasional ragged breaths Celeste was taking. The sharp metallic scent of blood hung heavy in the air.
Shoto’s world narrowed to that moment, the sight of your pain cutting deeper than any villain’s attack ever could.
"Celeste..." Shoto's voice was a broken whisper, his heart shattering at the sight. He rushed to her side, dropping to his knees, gently taking the blade from her hand and tossing it aside. “What have you done?!”
She looked up at him, a flicker of recognition breaking through the haze of her despair. "Shoto... I'm sorry," she murmured, her voice barely audible. "I didn't want you to see this." Tears streamed down her cheeks, her mask of cheerful indifference shattering. “I’m sorry, Shoto. I tried… I tried to be strong for too long… I’m just too tired.”
He pulled her into his arms, the warmth of his inner fire contrasting with the coldness of her skin. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t you let me help you?”
Her sobs were heart-wrenching, each one a dagger to Shoto’s heart. “I didn’t want to burden you. You’re always so strong, so perfect, so busy. I didn’t want you to see how broken I truly am.”
Shoto’s grip tightened, his voice fierce and filled with emotion. “You are not a burden. You are the light in my life, Celeste. I’m here for you, no matter what. We’ll get through this together.”
He reached for his phone with one hand, the other still holding the girl close. With a calmness that belied the storm inside him, he called for an ambulance. As he spoke to the operator, he kept his eyes on Celeste, his thumb gently stroking her cool cheek.
The minutes stretched into an eternity as they waited, Shoto whispering words of comfort and love, his heart breaking anew with each tear that fell from her eyes.
When the paramedics arrived, he stayed by her side, refusing to let go even as they bandaged her wounds and prepared to take her to the hospital.
Tumblr media
The hospital corridors were a blur as Shoto Todoroki sprinted through them, his heart hammering in his chest. He could barely breathe, his mind consumed with the fear and urgency of reaching Celeste.
When he reached the ER doors, a group of doctors and nurses blocked his path, their expressions a mix of concern and determination.
“I need to see her,” Shoto demanded, his voice trembling with barely contained rage.
“I’m sorry, sir, but you can’t go in there right now,” one of the doctors said, raising a hand to stop him. “She’s in a very serious condition, and we need to stabilize her. She lost a lot of blood.”
Shoto’s eyes flared with a dangerous mix of anger and resolve, his control slipping for the first time in years. “You don’t understand. I need to see her. Now.”
“Please, we’re doing everything we can —”
“Do you have any idea who I am?” Shoto’s voice was a low, menacing growl. “I’m Todoroki Shoto, one of the top pro heroes. And if you don’t let me in, I swear I will tear this place apart to get to my girlfriend.”
The sheer intensity of his anger and desperation caused the staff to falter. They exchanged uneasy glances, clearly aware of the volatile nature of his quirk and his reputation.
“Let him through,” came a calm but authoritative voice from behind. An older doctor stepped forward, his gaze steady. “He needs to be with her.”
One of the younger doctors shook his head, concern etched on his face. “But sir, she’s lost a lot of blood and is very weak. She needs rest.”
The older doctor walked closer, his eyes narrowing with a scolding gaze. “I know exactly what happened,” he said firmly. “I’ve just come from her room. What she needs now, more than anything, is the support and love of her close ones. This is a challenging time for her, and having her close ones by her side will aid in her recovery more than solitude ever could.”
The blockade parted, and Shoto pushed through without a second glance. He burst into the room, his eyes immediately locking onto Celeste’s fragile form lying on the hospital bed. The sight nearly brought him to his knees. Tubes and wires were attached to her, machines beeping steadily as they monitored her vitals. Her complexion was sallow, and her wrists were heavily bandaged.
He couldn’t shake the image of her on the bathroom floor from his mind, the raw pain in her darkened eyes haunting him. How had he missed it? How had he not seen the depth of her despair? He had faced monsters and menaces, but this — this was something entirely different.
He approached her slowly, his heart shattering with each step. He reached out, gently taking her hand in his. “Celeste,” he whispered, his voice breaking.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked at him through a haze of pain and sedation. Tears welled up in her eyes, spilling over as she struggled to speak. “I’m sorry, Shoto. I’m so sorry.”
He sank into the chair beside her bed, holding her hand tightly, as if afraid she might slip away. “Why didn’t you tell me how much you were hurting? I could have helped you. I would have done anything.”
Celeste’s voice was a fragile whisper. “I didn’t want to be a burden. I thought… I thought if I kept smiling, it would be enough. But the pain… It was too much. I couldn’t see a way out.”
Shoto’s tears fell freely now, his chest aching with profound sorrow. “You’re my everything. Seeing you like this… it’s tearing me apart. I need you with me. I need you to fight through this.”
She squeezed his hand weakly, her eyes filled with regret and longing. “I didn’t want to hurt you, Shoto. I love you so much. I just didn’t know how to cope.”
He leaned forward, pressing his forehead to her hand. “We’ll find a way, together. I promise you, Celeste, you’re not alone. We’ll get through this, no matter how hard it is. Just… don’t leave me. Please.”
Her tears continued to flow, her fingers trembling in his grasp. “I’ll try, Shoto. I’ll try for you.”
He lifted his head, his gaze fierce and determined. “Not just for me. For us. For our future. We’ll face this together, and I’ll be by your side every step of the way.”
As the night wore on, Shoto remained by her side, refusing to let go of her hand. The hospital room was filled with a heavy silence, broken only by the soft beeping of the machines and the quiet sobs they shared. It was a moment of profound vulnerability, a testament to their love and the battles they would face together.
In that sterile, white room, amidst the beeping machines and the scent of antiseptic, Shoto vowed to himself and to Celeste that he would never let her face her demons alone again.
After ensuring Celeste was asleep, Shoto quietly left her bedside. The rhythmic beeping of the machines and the soft murmur of hospital activity were the only sounds as he made his way to the nurse’s station.
“Excuse me,” Shoto said, his voice low but firm. “Can you tell me where I can find the older doctor who allowed me to see my girlfriend?”
The nurse looked up from her paperwork, a sympathetic smile crossing her face. “That would be Dr. Hayashi, the head of the emergency ward. His office is down the hall, third door on the left.”
Shoto thanked her and followed the directions. Reaching the office, he took a deep breath before knocking. A calm, authoritative voice called from within, “Come in.”
Todoroki entered the office, finding Dr. Hayashi seated behind a cluttered desk, reviewing some files. The older man looked up, his eyes filled with a gentle wisdom.
“Dr. Hayashi,” Shoto began, bowing slightly. “I wanted to thank you for letting me see my girlfriend. And I also want to apologize for my outburst. I know I should have contained my emotions better.”
Dr. Hayashi waved off the apology, a hint of sadness in his eyes. “No need to apologize, Mr. Todoroki. I understand your reaction all too well.”
Shoto hesitated, sensing a deeper story. “You do?”
Dr. Hayashi nodded, his gaze distant. “Some time ago, I lost my daughter under very similar circumstances. She was suffering in ways I hadn’t fully grasped until it was too late. Even as a doctor, I was not allowed to see her when she was brought in. I couldn’t hold her in my arms when she was dying.”
Shoto felt a pang of empathy, the weight of the doctor’s words settling heavily on his heart. “I’m so sorry for your loss,” he said softly.
Dr. Hayashi offered a sad smile. “Thank you. That’s why I insisted you be with her. I know how crucial it is to have loved ones close during such a challenging time. It can make all the difference in their will to fight and recover.”
“Thank you for allowing me to be there for her.”
Dr. Hayashi leaned back in his chair, his expression one of quiet resolve. “Take care of her, Mr. Todoroki. And take care of yourself as well. You’ll both need each other’s strength.”
With a final bow, Shoto left the office, his heart heavy. He returned to Celeste’s side, more determined than ever to help her heal and to never let her feel alone again.

The days following Celeste's hospital admission were a blur of consultations, therapy sessions, and quiet, somber moments. The hospital had kept her under close watch, her condition monitored by a team of specialists.
Shoto visited every day, his presence a constant reassurance, his hand always ready to hold hers.
Finally, the day came when she was discharged. A psychiatrist had outlined a comprehensive treatment plan, emphasizing the importance of ongoing therapy and support.
Shoto had listened intently, absorbing every detail, his stoic demeanor masking the turmoil within.
Celeste was waiting in the discharge area, her small bag by her side. She looked up as he approached, offering a tentative smile.
"Ready to go home?" he asked, his voice steady but soft.
She nodded, feeling a mixture of relief and trepidation. "Yes."
He took her bag, carrying it effortlessly as they walked to the car.
The drive home was quiet, the hum of the engine filling the silence.
Shoto's eyes remained fixed on the road, his hands gripping the steering wheel with controlled tension.
Celeste glanced at him occasionally, taking comfort in his presence despite the lack of conversation.
The silence was not awkward; rather, it was a shared space of reflection and understanding. Words felt unnecessary, and the quiet was a balm to Celeste's frayed nerves. She watched the city pass by outside the window, her thoughts a tangled web of emotions and memories.
As they pulled up to their apartment building, Shoto parked the car and turned off the engine. For a moment, neither of them moved, the weight of the past days pressing down on them.
Shoto finally broke the silence. “Let’s go inside.” He got out, walking around to open her door.
She stepped out, taking a deep breath of the familiar air. It felt strange to be back, as if the world outside had continued while she had been suspended in a separate reality.
Shoto unlocked the door to their shared apartment, holding it open for Celeste, who stepped inside and took a deep breath, absorbing the scent and warmth of home.
Inside the apartment, everything was as they had left it. The familiar surroundings felt both comforting and strange, as if everything had changed while remaining the same.
Once they were inside, Shoto set down the bag of her belongings from the hospital and turned to face her. His eyes, usually so guarded, were filled with a mixture of concern and pure sadness. “Celeste,” he began, his voice steady but soft, “we need to talk.”
She nodded, her eyes meeting his. “I know.”
Shoto let out a sigh, "But first, you need to eat something. You've lost weight, and with the strong meds you're on, you need to stay strong. Come on, I'll make you some soba with peanut sauce."
Celeste sat on the high stool at the counter, her eyes following Shoto’s movements as he prepared the meal. He moved with practiced ease, boiling the soba noodles and mixing the peanut sauce with care. The kitchen was filled with the comforting aroma, a blend of savory and nutty scents.
As he worked, Shoto glanced over his shoulder at her. “My mother and Fuyumi want to visit this weekend. Do you mind?”
Celeste’s face lit up with genuine happiness. “I’d love that, Shoto. I’ve missed them.”
He smiled softly, returning his focus to the meal. “Good, I’m glad to hear that. They’ve missed you too.”
Within minutes, he set a steaming bowl of soba with peanut sauce in front of her. “Eat up,” he said gently. “You need your strength.”
Celeste picked up her chopsticks. “Thank you, Shoto.”
Tumblr media
As evening approached, Shoto suggested they sit on the balcony.
The city was bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, the sky painted with hues of orange and pink.
They sat side by side, the silence stretching comfortably between them.
Finally, Shoto spoke, his voice a low murmur. “Celeste.” Shoto took her hands in his, his thumb gently brushing over her knuckles. “I’ve been thinking a lot about what happened,” he said slowly, choosing his words with care. “I know you were trying to protect me by hiding your pain, but it’s not something you should have to bear alone.”
She sighed, her gaze fixed on the horizon. Celeste’s eyes filled with tears, and then she looked down at their joined hands. “I didn’t want to hurt you, Shoto. I thought if I kept it to myself, it would be easier for everyone.”
He lifted her chin, making her look at him. “Celeste. Your pain is my pain, and I want to help you carry it. We’ll face this together, but you have to let me in. Promise me you won’t hide from me anymore.”
A tear slipped down her cheek, and she nodded, her voice trembling. “I promise, Shoto. I’ll try to be more open. I don’t want to go through this alone either.”
He pulled her into a gentle embrace, his heart aching with a mixture of love and sorrow. “We’ll get through this, one step at a time. You’re not alone, and you never will be.”
She sobbed against his chest, the dam of her emotions breaking. “I’ve been so scared, Shoto. So scared of disappointing everyone, of showing weakness. I thought… If I kept smiling, it would be okay. But it’s not.”
He listened intently, his heart aching at her words. "I’m sorry I didn’t see how much you were struggling. I thought… I thought you were happy. And when I started noticing… It was too late.”
She clung to him, the warmth of his body a stark contrast to the cold despair she had felt just days before. In his arms, she found a glimmer of hope, a promise of better days to come.
He held her through her tears, his own eyes stinging with unshed tears. “We’ll face this together. Please, let me help you.”
For a long time, they sat in silence, Shoto’s arms wrapped protectively around her. The gravity of her pain settled heavily in his heart. He knew this was only the beginning, that their journey would be fraught with challenges. But he was determined to be her anchor, to show her that she wasn’t alone.
They sat there, holding each other as the sun dipped below the horizon. The future was uncertain, and the road ahead would be challenging, but they faced it together, bound by love and a shared determination to find their way through the darkness. In each other, they found strength and hope, a beacon to guide them through the storm.
Tumblr media
The days that followed were filled with small, tentative steps towards healing.
Shoto made sure she attended her therapy sessions and took her medication. He was always there, a silent pillar of strength, offering his unwavering support. Todoroki watched her closely, always attuned to her moods. He learned to recognize the signs of deterioration of her mood, the moments when her smiles didn’t quite reach her eyes. In those times, he held her close, whispering words of comfort and love.
One day, after Celeste felt well enough, Shoto’s mother, Rei Todoroki, and his older sister, Fuyumi, came to visit. They brought handmade mochi and other sweets, their faces lighting up with joy when they saw Celeste looking better.
Rei was the first to embrace her, pulling Celeste into a gentle, warm hug. “It’s so good to see you, dear,” she whispered, her voice full of genuine relief. “We’ve missed you.”
Fuyumi followed, hugging Celeste tightly. “We’ve been thinking about you every day,” she said softly. “I’m so glad you’re feeling better,” the woman added, stroking Celeste’s brown hair gently.
Dark-haired girl smiled, a little overwhelmed by their warmth. “Thank you both. It means a lot to me.”
They all settled in the living room, the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee and tea mingling with the afternoon air.
Shoto sat beside Celeste, his hand resting reassuringly on her knee.
Rei sipped her tea before speaking, her tone soft like a summer breeze. “We won’t ask you about what happened,” she said gently. “We know it’s hard, and we don’t want to bring you back to that dark place.”
Fuyumi nodded, her eyes filled with understanding. “Just know that we’re always here for you, whenever you need us. You’re part of our family, Celeste.”
Celeste’s eyes shimmered with tears, but they were tears of gratitude. “Thank you. I can’t tell you how much that means to me.”
Rei smiled warmly. “Now, let’s enjoy these sweets together.”
As they shared the mochi and other treats, the room filled with laughter and light conversation. The support and love from Rei and Fuyumi were like a balm to Celeste’s soul, reminding her that she wasn’t alone and that she had a family who cared deeply for her.
Celeste began to open up more, sharing her fears and insecurities, and slowly, she started to find her way back to herself. The scars on her body, though a grim reminder of her struggle, began to fade slowly.
Their home became a sanctuary, a place where they could face the darkness together. Each day was a battle, but it was one they fought side by side, their love and determination lighting the way forward. And in the quiet moments, when they held each other close, they found solace in the unspoken promise that they would never give up on each other.
For Shoto, the love he held for Celeste was a beacon of hope, guiding him through the challenging times.
And for Celeste, Shoto’s unwavering support was a reminder that she was never truly alone, that even in her darkest moments, there was light to be found.

Gift Giving
Summary: After the summer away, Todoroki does what he does best and presents a dear friend with a gift. Taika does the same. (Please do not copy/steal this idea.)
Sometimes Todoroki Shoto forgot that the Retesuwa beauty didn't grow up in Japan. Sometimes he even forgot that his native tongue wasn't hers. Maybe it was because she seemed to always be so tuned into him, Todoroki somehow assumed Taika knew what he knew.
Which was why he couldn't help but chuckle ever so slightly when it was clear she was confused.  The mattress dipped under Todoroki's weight as he sat on the edge of Taika's bed. Taika sat cross legged on the floor. The items in her suitcase still waited to be placed and hung in her dorm after the summer away.
"Chopsticks?" Taika titled her head at the ornate, decorative sticks with floral charms attached to the top. She smiled stiffly at her friend; unsure what she was meant to do with such pretty utensils...and that was all she could think of.
"These are very pretty, Todoroki. Thank you." Maybe they were supposed to be decorative chopsticks, Taika thought as she wondered what to do with the gift. Would it be bad taste to display them in her pen holder? Was she supposed to eat a meal with them?
Todoroki cleared his throat and gestured at the gift.  "Kanzashi." He picked one pair up and held it up for Taika to examine.
Taika's eyebrows furrowed as her postured straightened as she looked up at the handsome hero in training. Todoroki leaned his face closer to hers, his eyes glued on Taika's lips as she repeated the word.
"Kanzashi?"
Todoroki felt her eyes intently focus on him as he gently tucked back a few loose strands of hair out of Taika's face; his fingers lingered against her brown skin for a split second longer than necessary. Sunlight caught in her cocoa-colored eyes and for a moment, he saw flecks of gold hidden within her eyes. He swallowed down a warm, jittery feeling as he tenderly looped the hair accessory gingerly into locks of curly hair.
If he tried to kiss her..., would she let it happen? Or would that make things awkward right now? Things were a little awkward the last time they almost kissed, and to Todoroki things felt comfortable again. Did he want to risk that right now? Right at the start of their junior year of university?
"Oh, it's a hairpin. Duh! " Taika let out a small, nervous laugh as she pulled away slowly from his touch. Her heart raced like a primed horse about to debut. For a split second, Taika thought maybe the kanzashi meant more, if him being so close meant more. She stopped. No. That couldn't be it.
Being without Todoroki's presence after the summer made her forget how blunt he'd been. So, all he was doing was being blunt, Taika rationalized. It was no different than when he helped her understand other words or customs she didn't know.
She missed that about him; admired him for that even. The teleporter was also thankful that Todoroki never once made her feel small or stupid for not knowing his culture or language.
The kanzashi was beautiful, like him. It was sweet of him to surprise her with such a gift. Like him, however, she had a surprise too.
"I got you something as well." Taika reached into one of the suitcase's many compartments. She breathed out any emotions and thoughts that made her too flustered from Todoroki's gesture. She should be happy enough to simply be back in the presence of one of her favorite people.
Todoroki arched an eyebrow at the teleporter as she handed him a little burlap sack; small amounts of sand fell to the floor, and it faintly smelt like the ocean sea and coconut oil.
"Oh." Surprise was evident in his mismatched eyes as he pulled out a medium sized, white conch shell with red spots and a sand dollar from the little bag. Once, just once, Todoroki mentioned wanting to visit the beaches of Retesuwa and she found a way to bring the beach to him.
Taika studied Todoroki’s face, unsure of the blank yet peaceful expression on his face. “Do you like it?”  She spent the last two weeks of her summer back in Retesuwa near Devil’s Dive, one of the best spots known to locals for its fishing spots and its unforgiving, wild, and angry waves.  Thankfully, Taika Miri was lucky enough to not venture too far deep into the water for Todoroki’s gifts.
Todoroki quietly nodded first before he spoke. “I do. Do they symbolize anything in your culture?” His heterochromatic eyes darted to the conch shell displayed on her desk before he turned his attention back onto her.
"The conch shell is to keep evil spirits away and the sand dollar to keep good fortune in your pocket." Taika explained as if she told Todoroki the weather.
Todoroki looked at the kanzashi in Taika's hair, his heart skipped a few beats as he felt Taika's attention fully on him in return.  "Good fortune only? Do I not need luck?"
The pensive, teasing grin that cracked across Taika's features caused a calming warmth to spread down his shoulders. He missed this.
No, he was lying to himself again. He missed her and the way he felt safe and welcomed in her presence.  He really could have scolded the teleporter for leaving Japan for the summer. He had to deal with the old bastard more as  a result. Everything about that was unlucky if anyone asked Todoroki Shoto.
Taika rolled her brown eyes at him as she stood up and sat right next to the fire and ice user.
"You already have good fortune-leave some luck for the rest of us."
"Well, was it luck or fortune that helped you get a yukata for the festival tonight?" Todoroki inspected the conch shell as if it held a secret only for him.
Taika laughed. "It was Fuyumi and her refusal to let you or me go to the festival in casual clothes."
For a little bit, the world felt full between the two of them as one took the other's hand and gave it a tender and affectionate squeeze.
🍡🍡🍡🍡(Bonus)🍡🍡🍡🍡
"Trust me," Todoroki urged as he offered the festive treat up to Taika. "You'll like this."
Taika reached to take the hanami dango from her friend, only for Todoroki to hold the treat over her head.
"No, I'll hold it for you." Todoroki lowered the treat back down for the purple haired beauty.  His tone of voice was gentle, warm, and welcoming, but mainly teasing.
Taika rolled her eyes at him. "I won't stain the yukata if I feed myself. You know that right? I'm not Denki."
Todoroki smirked at her. "I know."
Still, she leaned in to take a bite of the dango only for Todoroki to pull it away from her lips again. "Taika, you have to say it. " There was a playful glint in his eyes.
The Retesuwa native let out an exaggerated sigh as she obliged Todoroki’s request all the same.  Her frustration completely fake despite the all too familiar way she rolled her eyes at him.
"Itadakimasu," Taika took a bite of the dango and her eyes widened with delight at the simple yet satisfying taste of the treat. "Oh shit, that is good."
Todoroki let out a laugh at Taika's crude stamp of approval.

Yume catches Bakugo in Kansatoki’s room.

Kansatoki rustled in bed trying to get sleepy. Katsuki had snuck into her dorm demanding she go to bed at a reasonable time tonight. The last few days she hadn’t gotten any sleep at all, and it was showing on her face and performances in classes.
Katsuki who had a religious sleep schedule was already dozing off beside her but would likely wake up if Kansatoki tried to grab at her phone again. He insisted he was only sleeping in her dorm to make sure she didn’t endlessly scroll another night away on her phone.
A knock on Kansatoki’s door disturbed Katsuki out of his beginning stages of sleep.
“What?!” He called back angrily in response to the knock.
“Katsuki!” Kansatoki said, quickly covering his mouth. “We’re in my dorm remember?” She whispered. Katsuki's eyes widened as he woke up fully and realized his mistake.
“Kansa what was that?” Yume said from outside the door.
“Go hide,” Kansatoki said while frantically pushing Katsuki out of the bed.
“Ugh! Is this why you don’t get any sleep!” Katsuki complained as he walked out to the open balcony choosing to hide behind the door as Kansatoki answered her friend.
“What do you want?” Kansatoki asked opening the door, Yume barging right in after.
“What was that I heard?! Sounded like a boy!” Yume said suspiciously looking around the room.
“I was watching a video on my phone,” Kansatoki said rolling her eyes and crossing her arms.
Yume, not believing her friend checked in her restroom then under her bed.
“You’re so nosy you know that!” Kansatoki said annoyed sitting back on her bed.
“I wouldn’t have to be if you didn’t keep secrets from your best friend!” Yume teased.
Kansatoki’s phone lit up with a message. Kansatoki grabbed it and unlocked her phone the message was from Katsuki and read:
Make her leave.
Yume tried to sneakily look at her friend's phone only seeing the message was from Katsuki before she quickly locked her phone.
“Hey cut it out!” Kansatoki spoke, hiding her phone.
“That was from Bakugo wasn’t it! Come on why are you hiding all the good details from me!” Yume pestered and sat on the bed beside her. “I know you two are closer than you tell me! I bet you’ve even kissed him before haven’t you!”
“What!?” Kansatoki exclaimed, feeling herself sweat knowing Katsuki was right outside and could hear everything.
“Come on you can tell me! I bet he tastes like a firework, doesn’t he?” Yume laughed.
“What the hell?!” Katsuki exclaimed outside, being unable to contain himself from being quite any longer.
Yume’s eyes widened as she looked from her friend to the balcony. Yume got up quickly to check behind the door.
“Yume don’t!” Kansatoki warned but her friend was already pulling the door back to check. As she did Katsuki let out an explosion scaring Yume into a jump and losing her footing almost falling off the balcony.
Katsuki roughly grabbed her arm and pulled her back laughing “You should have seen your damn face Wide Eyes!” He howled.
“I KNEW YOU WERE IN HERE!” She yelled and looked back at Kansatoki. “What the hell Kansa!”
Kansatoki just shrugged, “You’re the one that barged in here don’t be mad at me.”
“Ugh,” Yume exclaimed in an annoyed huff, as she went back and sat next to her friend.
“What the fuck? Get out,” Katsuki said roughly to Yume.
“Me?! You’re the one not supposed to be here you get out!” She yelled back pointing at him.
“Hello no, I’m here actually helping. Haven’t you noticed your best friends been exhausted lately?!” Katsuki said using air quotes around best friend. “I’m trying to make sure she fucking sleeps for once, and what are you doing? Coming here to bug her with some lame story about icy hot," Katsuki barked back at Yume.
Yume shrunk a little at his words feeling guilty for keeping her friend up, before it struck her, “Kansa! You told him I like Todoroki!” She yelled looking at Kansa and feeling betrayed.
“Tch- shut the hell up. Kansa didn’t tell me crap. It’s just so obvious with the way you look at him. It’s god damn pathetic. Did you have to stand in line to suck his dick with the rest of the girls?” Katsuki said with a booming laugh after.
“Hey, don’t be so mean to my friend she can’t take it like I can.” Kansatoki said moving next to Katsuki and playfully hitting his arm. Kansatoki looked at her friend who had a horrified expression at Katsuki’s vulgarness and the thought of Shoto being with other girls.
Kansatoki rolled her eyes, “Besides it’s not like Todoroki even notices all that attention anyway. He’s never had someone else in his room or anything either.” Kansatoki said indifferently but eyed her friend hoping that calmed her down a bit.
“How the fuck would you know?” Katsuki asked defensively.
“My quirk obviously. I’ve been around you all enough now to know what your different emotions are like. I can pretty much tell where everyone is in the dorms at all times,” Kansatoki said shrugging.
Katusuki and Yume looked at her curiously.
“So, spill what’s all the tea then!” Yume said. “Who goes where and when?!?” She asked finally perking up again.
“Oh no! That’s super invasive I try not to use my quirk that way,” Kansatoki said. “I only let this one slip because I know how much you like Todoroki…”
“Whatever-, so what the fuck did you come in here to tell Kansa anyway?” Katsuki asked as both him and Kansatoki eyed Yume intimidatingly.
“I uh,” she squirmed under their intense stares. “I was just going to talk to Kansa about my spar with Todoroki today...” Yume squeaked out squeezing her hands together nervously.
“Pathetic,” Katsuki grumbled.
“Oh stop,” Kansatoki said nudging him again.
“Man, you would have fucking melted at our last provisional licensing test,” Katsuki laughed.
“Hu?” Both girl's eyed him curiously.
“That one fucking air head was there, turns out her quirk is illusions,” Katsuki began to explain.
“Her name is Cami, and she is so totally cool I don’t know what you’re even tripping about,” Kansatoki said mimicking Cami’s preppy voice.
“Yeah, whatever that bitch. She made this illusion of Todoroki to fluster all the little girls while trying to get on their good side. Shit was priceless. You should have seen it,” he said laughing at the memory.
“What was it?!” Yume asked.
“Yeah, show us!” Kansatoki encouraged him.
“Fine fine-“ Katsuki imitated Cami’s illusion complete with starry eyes and flirtatious statement “Wow, you've got such a beautiful face dear,” Katsuki almost kneeled over laughing after his impersonation. Both girls just watched him with wide eyes.
“Wow- Todoroki really did that?” Yume said, slightly blushing.
“It was fucking hilarious I almost died!” Katsuki said, finishing laughing and noticing the flustered look both the girls were giving him. “What the hell?! Don’t tell me that actually worked on you both?!?” He said shocked.
“I don’t know do it again and I’ll tell you,” Kansatoki said with a sly smile.
“Fuck no, you got to earn it.” Katsuki said in a low voice moving closer to Kansatoki.
Kansatoki rolled her eyes, “Hey Yume, I can feel Todoroki is still downstairs. Maybe you could ask him about it and see if he will reenact it for you. Tell him his bestie Bakugo told you about it.” She said, giving her friend a wink.
“I’m not friends with that bastard!” Katsuki barked.
“You think he will?!” Yume said, excitedly jumping off the bed. “I’m gonna try!” She exclaimed and excited the room.
“Damn she’s fucking desperate for half and half, hu?” Katsuki mused.
“Oh, leave her alone, she’s had a crush on him for a while.”
“Whatever you need to get back to bed.” Katsuki said stubbornly.
“Do that cute face one more time and I’ll think about it,” Kansatoki said playfully to Katsuki.
"Hell no, not now that I know you like it so much.” Katsuki said, grabbing her wrist and dragging her back into bed.

Tumblr media
Ichijiku (Tigress)
“What color do you think we should paint the nursery?” I hum, looking through the different color swatches in the store. Three colors draw my eyes to their soft, comforting tones: mint green, dusty blue, and a lilac purple.
“You seem to be eying the purple. Do you want that one?” Shoto brushes his hand against my back. “It looks nice.”
“I’m leaning towards the lilac, but what do you think?”
He picks up the three shades and spends a minute looking between them. I can’t help the smile tickling my cheeks at his focused expression.
“Let’s take these three paint swatches home so we can get an idea of what it’ll look like on the walls.”
“Good idea.”
. . . . .
We make it home and sleep calls my name. One long shopping trip has always been enough to tucker me out anyway, but with a full child growing inside me? My bottom finds the couch instantly and I puff out a heavy sigh as I flop into the cushions.
“Do you need me to get you anything, love?” Shoto takes a seat beside me.
“I’m just tired, Frosted Flames.” I coo, stretching one hand to squeeze his as my eyelids flutter dangerously. “But I could use a peppermint tea if you don’t mind.”
“I don’t mind. I’ll get it started while I put away the groceries.” He gets up again and kisses my forehead. “Don’t try to get up and do anything. Let me take care of you.”
Of course, when I hear the bags shuffling even my desire to sleep can’t fight against my stubborn streak. Just the thought of Shoto having to put away everything and still have to make my tea makes me grunt and struggle to my feet.
I reach down for a bag, thinking he’s got all the heavy items, and wince when I wobble at the unexpected heaviness of the bag.
“Stop, you’re going to hurt yourself!” Shoto exclaims, catching me before I topple over into the table. After a breath, he cups my face. “I didn’t mean to get loud. You scared me.”
“Sorry. I hate seeing you have to do all the work.” I frown.
“I know, Tiger, but you have to be careful. If you overextend yourself, you don’t just hurt yourself now. You have others to look after.” He kisses my cheek and squeezes my hands. “Now, go rest and I’ll make your tea. Homura and Himari should be coming back from Mom and Dad’s within the hour.”
“Are you sure I can’t help a little?” I pout, letting my kitten eyes glow up at him.
“If you’re insistent upon helping, you can do the dishes. There’s only a few in the sink. Will that satiate you, troublemaker?” He chuckles, pinching my cheek.
“I think so.” I giggle, and head to the sink.
As I finish up the final few dishes, a flurry of white flashes outside the window showing the outside. I lift my head up and gasp, drying my hands and tapping Shoto’s side.
“Shoto-kun, look!”
He comes up behind me and his head thunks on my shoulder as he looks with me, his hands coming up around my waist and resting on the sides of my belly. At first, I think he’s missed it, but then I hear his breathing stop.
“Is that a rabbit family in our backyard?”
“There’s been one that I’ve seen off and on in the garden, but I didn’t realize she had a whole family!” I coo happily as the furry critters scamper under the rosebush.
“Looks like we’re not the only growing family here.” Shoto smiles and nudges me. “Now, come on. I’ve got your tea ready. You go rest while I finish the groceries and take a nap if you want to.”
I’m halfway through my mug of tea before I’m passed out on the couch.
. . . . .
“Daddy! Daddy! Look what–”
“Shh, Mommy’s asleep, Homura.”
“Oops.”
“How has Ichijiku been doing with the pregnancy, Shoto? No complications?” Mom's voice pulls me towards consciousness, though I keep my eyes closed and my breathing steady.
“No complications, just restless like she was last time.” Shoto explains.
“Daddy, we played Rescue with Grandpa and Grandma let us help her make dinner, like Mommy.” Himari’s voice chirps softly. “Can we visit them tomorrow, too?”
“Well, we’ll see.” Shoto chuckles.
“You know we’re more than willing to watch over them as often as you need.” Dad’s voice, always deep and stern, is surprisingly soft. I have a feeling he appreciates us giving him time with his grandkids. Natsuo’s been pretty adamant about distancing himself. “Especially since she’s in the 32nd week.”
“I know. We appreciate it, Father.” Shoto assures him. “Though the girls like helping Ichan around with things she still has trouble with. Don’t you, girls?”
“Yes, sir!” They chime in unison.
A smile forces itself on my face, so I open my eyes and yawn. I stroke my belly absently as two little girls with their father’s blue eyes barrel in my direction.
“Mommy! You’re awake!” Homura is quick to crawl into the little hole on the couch behind my back, and Himari squeezes herself in there too. Both of them rest their head on my arm and look at me. “Grandma let us help her cook like you do!”
“Is that so?” I grin, reaching up to boop each of their noses. “What did you make, little loves?”
They turn to Mom, who laughs.
“Vegetable tempura.”
“She helped me cut the kabocha!” Himari beams.
“And I got to mix the sauce!” Homura puffs out her chest. “And then before that, Grandpa let us play Rescue!”
“Really? Who did you rescue?”
“Grandpa!”
“He needed help being saved from a fire!”
“Yeah.” Himari tries to whisper, but there’s no doubt the whole house hears her. “It was make-believe, Mommy. Grandpa don’t get hurt by fire.”
“Oh, okay.” I whisper in much the same manner. “I gotcha. You were very brave for helping him, anyway.”
“You really think so?”
“I don’t think, I know!”
A little more conversation and I do my typical workout of heaving myself off the couch. Of course, Himari and Homura help push and pull to make the effort easier. Then I waddle over to give the in-laws a hug before stealing a kiss from Shoto.
“We appreciate everything you both do to help.” I reiterate, yawning once more for good measure as I head into the kitchen. Although I’m aching to feed my sweet tooth with M&Ms or chocolate-covered pretzels, my body craves fruit in this third trimester.
I pull out a few bananas and start slicing them as Shoto waves Mom and Dad out the door.
“You make your fruit, I’ll get the girls’ ready for bed.” Shoto suggests, nodding towards the girls. “C’mon, girls. Let’s go brush our teeth and put on our pj’s.”
“Aww!” Himari huffs.
“Can’t we stay up a little longer?” Homura begs.
“Not tonight. You have school tomorrow.” He picks them both up and hugs them against his chest. “But I’ll tell you what. If you do well with your bedtime for the rest of the week, maybe I’ll talk with Grandma and Grandpa about spending the night this weekend.”
“Okay!”
When he sets them down this time, two sets of footsteps tear down the hall towards the bathroom. I pop a few slices of banana in my mouth as I shake my head with amusement. I love them so much.
The girls head towards me for bedtime hugs and kisses when I feel it. I wince after I pull back and hold my stomach as Shoto leads them to bed. Shoto’s voice carries down the hall as he reads to the girls while I finish my snack. About ten minutes later, I’m walking down the hall to join him when another sharp, cramping pain crackles through my back and abdomen.
“Ichan?” Shoto’s at my side in a moment. “Are you okay?”
“I should be fine for a bit longer.” I assure him, breathing deep and steady. “But you might want to call the parents to come back and watch the girls for tonight. I have a feeling…”
“Is it already that time?” Shoto’s eyes widen.
“I think so.”
Car lights signal Mom and Dad’s return when my water breaks. Talk about timing. I grip the kitchen counter and swallow thickly. Time flickers by in a blur as my sole focus suddenly becomes the steady ebb and flow of pain as three little boys plan to make their debut.
“It’s gonna be okay, Ichan. We’re almost there.” Shoto reassures me as he helps me through the hospital doors.
One moment I’m in a wheelchair and the next I’m squeezing Shoto’s hand so hard I swear I feel his bones creaking. It’s 7 hours of remembering to breathe and Shoto’s whispered encouragement and doctors and nurses and pushing until a cry cuts through the room.
For all that work through 7 hours, his brother comes three minutes later, and their youngest brother makes his debut in another four. The symphony of three wailing babies graces my ears and prompts me to relax. My eyes lock in on three little bodies with limbs flailing before I search for Shoto.
“They’re here, they’re here.” Shoto whispers, wiping the hair out of my face and caressing my cheek before kissing me. “You did wonderful, love. They’re going to clean them off so we can hold them.” He promises.
Three bundled blankets with three heads of red peach fuzz return to us and tears glitter in my eyes as Shoto and I go to each boy in turn, giving them their fair share of love.
“We’ve got our work cut out for us.” Shoto smiles at me.
“For sure. But the first task is to pick names.”
“I know you had a few in mind.”
“I do.” I agree, thinking over the list I’ve been filing through in my mind. I look at the three little faces looking back up at me and it suddenly seems so clear. “Eiji, Enji, and Emiko.”
It doesn’t surprise me that Shoto snaps his head to me.
“Enji?”
“I know you’re still working on your relationship with him, but they’re my three little boys. My three little protectors. It seems only fitting.” I explain, eyes fluttering as my body winds down from the effort and adrenaline. “Eiji is a name meant for protection through peace and prosperity. Enji, of course, your father has shown he’s capable of protecting the masses. And Emiko is meant for protection through smiles and joy.”
“You’ve put a lot of thought into this, haven’t you?”
“I learned from Himari and Homura that so long as I have a collection of names to pick from…their names will usually come to me after they’re born.”
Shoto looks at our three boys for a moment, then looks back at me, much softer.
“Our three little protectors…I like that.”

'Just A Kiss' - Todoroki x Fem OC - Part 1
Tumblr media
Wren's father is the notorious Endeavor's sidekick. Envious, jealous and greedy, Wren is thrust into hero training at an early age because of her father's failed career.
Her end goal? Its not to become the greatest hero.
It's to beat Shoto Todoroki.
She's always running, running, running to catch up to Endeavor's son, Shoto Todoroki. But instead of running ahead of him, a series of incidents causes her to end up running into his arms instead..
Au: Classic enemies to lovers. This is the prologue btw.
My father has always had an inferiority complex. You can’t blame the guy - being the sidekick of a pro hero is hard to be happy about. Especially for a man as prideful as Hita Oizawa.
As a young girl, I should’ve been happy that my father never spoke of his job, or his employer, inside of the stone walls of our house. It sickened father and he wouldn’t allow anyone to utter the number two hero’s name at home, even out of his own mouth.
He channeled that resentment elsewhere.
His anger towards his failure at a pro hero career resulted in determination to make me the next number one hero, even when I was a little girl.
“Again.” His gruff voice ordered.
I heaved out ragged breaths, my chest struggling to rise and fall. “We’ve been at this for hours.” My small limbs ached and my head pounded as if a sledgehammer was hitting it repeatedly. I wouldn’t have put it pass my father to do so.
“You’re not doing it well enough Wren. Again.”
Obeying his command - obliging was better than rebelling - I once again heaved up the heavy rock from our backyard and slammed it onto the unearthed soil. The ground shook beneath us and my knees buckled from the impact. From behind me, standing with his arms crossed in the shade of the veranda, I could sense his disappointment rolling off of him in waves. “Can we finish now?” My voice came out high pitched - hopeful. Day in, day out, I was forced to train in that very backyard. Picking up and tossing the earth. Mending it over again. Growing and summoning. Dying and languishing.
“You picked up less than last time.”
“But Father I-“
“His son recently mastered both of his quirks Wren. You can’t even master one.”
His words were laced with venom, and they cut to my core.
It was no secret that my father had wanted a son. He got a daughter.
It was blatantly obvious that he expected great things from me. I always underpreformed.
He never hid the fact that he wanted me to be the best. And I was always second to Shoto Todoroki.
Standing in the glaring sun with every muscle in my body screaming in overexertion and tears burning in my eyes, it became clear that my father and I had at least one thing in common.
We were desperately running behind a Todoroki, grasping at air to catch up. And we absolutely despised them and ourselves for it.
Across the street, Endeavor’s hearty laugh from inside his house rang out over the roaring in my ears.

Love will always exists
Villain!Todoroki x oc
Fandom: my hero academia
Warnings: gaslighting, kissing scene
—————
Perhaps it was just fate. Perhaps it was just meant to be. No one really knew. They did know: if that day only didn’t happen, things would have turned out very differently.
When was it the last time she heard of him anyway? 5 years? Or was it 7? She doesn’t remember. And she doesn’t want to either. She remembered everything. How the two of them would find comfort in each other, how they wouldn’t judge each other. How he confessed his love for her and vice versa.
It wasn’t until his brother died. Not talking about Natsuo, but about Touya. Well, he would ho by the name ‘Dabi’ now. Instead of trying to kill him, Dabi went to see Shoto himself and reveal his true identity. No one really knows what he said to his brother, but it was good enough to set him on the path of the villain.
“T-Todoroki…”, the telekinesis hero, Sapphire Witch said. She never expected for him to ever show up ever again. Why did she stop in her tracks right then and there? She couldn’t believe what she saw.
The boy in front of her could only smile. It wasn’t an evil one, far from it even. He was just so happy he could see his love again, even if they were now complete opposites of one other.
“I'm happy to see you again, my love”, he said softly as he walked up to her. Tammin couldn’t even process what was going on right now. She was so busy with what happened these last few years and the hero work, she totally forgot about the changed man in front of her.
She hasn’t seen him ever since the war ended. Both have changed a lot, and not only by appearance.
“Why are you here… How did you get in here?”, she mumbled. She had this urge to hug him, even after all the evil that he has done.
“I wanted to see you. Wanting to know how you’re doing”, he said as he walked closer to the woman in front of him. She still looks so beautiful as he remembers.
“How I am? What about you? What went through your head when you decided to kill your father? What went through your head when you killed all those innocent people? What went through your head when you left all of us…”, the woman mumbled, being close to tears.
“You won’t understand it, my love. My father was an awful man. My siblings and I are the living proof of that. Thanks to Touya, I finally had the courage to end Endeavor myself. Know that he abused every single one of us, and he would’ve done it again too had his goal not been achieved”, Shoto said.
“I can understand that he was an asshole and deserved worse, I’m not denying that. But what about the bystanders? Why were they killed? They were just innocent people!”, Tammin said as her voice raised.
He sighed. “The thrill of killing, it’s… Addicting if that’s the right word. Knowing that you finally can control what you are doing in your life and what you want to do with it, it’s an amazing feeling”, he whispered as he pulled the girl closer to him, grabbing her hand.
‘Come on, why don’t you turn him in yet? He is one of the most wanted villains, and yet you are here doing nothing!’, Tammin thought. She just couldn’t attack the man she once fell in love with.
“You don’t think I’m a monster, right? You can understand why I did those things now, do you? Don’t turn me in. I’m still Shoto Todoroki, your highschool sweetheart, right?”, he said as he caressed her cheek.
‘What am I doing?…’, she thought. Moments like this are the reason why she can’t do anything. Love is always going to be her weakness.
“I…”, she started, but a pair of lips softly kissed hers. She didn't know what to do, so she softly kissed him back as well. The kiss still feels like the first time she kissed him. Full of love and sweetness. It was clear he had no evil intent for her.
He separated the kiss and smiled again, but it looked more like a smirk. “See? It’s still me”, he whispered, only for a phone to start ringing.
“If it is your work, don’t tell them that I was here okay? I have to go now. I will see you again soon, my love”, Shoto said before he left.
Tammin wiped the tears away as he saw him leave and picked up the phone.
“Yo dumbass! The agency likes to know if you have seen or heard something from icy-hot! They got some new news of where he would be!”, her best friend’s voice came from the phone.
“Wish I did Kitty”, Tammin said, making the man behind the phone frown and pissed at the nickname.
“Either it’s Dynamight, or Katsuki! Don’t ‘Kitty’ me!”, Katsuki Bakugou, also known as Pro Hero Dynamight said.
After a few seconds, they hung up. Tammin felt ashamed of herself, she is betraying every hero in existence. And she knows she will continue to do so.
Cause she knows, she will always love Shoto Todoroki.

Tumblr media
♡・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・♡
Katsuki Bakugou
❥ By no means whatsoever does he offer his dorm out of the kindness of his heart. He just got pissed off of seeing you sleeping on the couch in the commons area every morning, and accidentally stepping on your blanket or pillows. After stepping on your blanket once more he grabs your shit and puts it in his dorm and acts like he's bothered by this but really he doesn't mind at all.
❥ Makes you sleep on the floor for the first two nights until you convince him to share the bed. He's reluctant at first but then allows it as long as you stay on your side of the bed. Do you really though?
❥ Expect to sleep earlier and get your sleep schedule in check because his dorm, his rules, lights are off at ten pm sharp with no exceptions.
❥ Also expect your grades to go up. While he's your roommate he's going to make you don't slack off on your studies.
❥ When he wakes up in the morning and notices your head resting on his chest he gets somewhat annoyed but secretly likes it. he's willing to get behind on his strict schedule and let you rest on him a little longer. but just a little.
❥ Demands you now be his training partner but is careful to not get carried away. You're strong, but he still doesn't want to run the risk of hurting you. therefore, he always keeps Aid kits in the bathroom just in case you do get any scratches, even if they're minor.
❥ Constantly threatening to kick you out over every little thing but actually has no intention of doing so. He won't admit it but he enjoys your company. "I swear if I see one more sock lying around I'm grabbing your shit and throwing it out."

Shoto Todoroki
❥ "Why don't you sleep with me." he said boldly unaware of how his sentence had more than one connotation to it. I mean you need help and as your friend he's more than willing to help you out. plus he has the biggest dorm compared to everyone else, if anything he's the most suitable to offer his help he thought.
❥ Asks you what temperature you prefer to sleep in so he can use his quirk to either make the room colder or warmer depending on your preference. and ALWAYS makes sure to make both sides of your pillows cold.
❥ When he's out visiting his mother you make sure the place is clean (though it usually is since he tends to be on the neater side) and prepare some soba for him as a token of your appreciation. After a couple of times he starts to look forward for it and got saddened the one day you forgot.
❥ In return he made sure not turn on the lights when getting ready in the morning as to not wake you up. Part of it was for a selfish reason though, he thought it was cute how you slept soundly on his bed.
❥ Speaking about sleep; During the night he would find himself cozying up next to you, not on purpose though. He just felt comfort in your presence and he realized you felt the same way when you also moved closer to him during the night.
❥ Leaves out coffee for you in the mornings since you tend to stay up late on nights and wake up always running late to your classes.

Izuku Midoriya
❥ Overheard you talking to Tsuyu and Uraraka about how you need a place to sleep in and walked over to offer his help without a second thought. You already spend most of your time in his dorm room during the day to share notes anyways. The only difference would just be you spending the night.
❥ Offers for you to sleep in his bed while he sleeps on the floor. After you refuse to let him sleep on the floor he shyly agrees to share the bed with you constantly asking you if you're okay with it.
❥ Midoriya stays up late at night writing in his notebook and murmuring thoughts to himself. You persuade him to go to bed and leave his worries for the following day. he deeply apologizes for the burden kind of embarrassed. "I-I'm sorry! was I keeping you up? I'll go to bed in a few minutes don't worry."
❥ Always invites you to go out with him whenever he leaves the dorm, even if it's something as simple as going to the gas station to get some snacks.
❥ he loves to talk your ear off geeking out about the knowledge he knows about the top heroes and their quirks. When he notices he got carried away he gets all types of flustered but even then he doesn't get the sense of being judged.
❥ Since he's constantly getting injured and going to see Recovery girl he always comes back exhausted. regardless, his stubborn ass still tries to go out on missions and push himself to the limits. he get's frustrated when you don't let him do so and force him to rest and leave his chores to you. But he loves you for it.

Sugar
Summary: Class 2-A celebrates their beloved teleporter's accomplishments with a night out; but Todoroki didn't anticipate Taika's drunk ramblings of sugar baby ambitions.
A/N: suggestive themes/language. All characters are aged up. MDNI! 18+
🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸
Growing up on an island like Retesuwa, specifically growing up on the south side of Kama Mountain, there was nothing anyone could tell Taika Miri about her appearance or about her ability to take care of her family.
She busted her ass to provide for her Auntie and Uncle. Be it cleaning the Cultural Center for Old Lady Kala'Kameka for a few bucks; or working (off record) as a bartender at Rusty's Beach Bar.  Also, even if she wasn't proud of it, running errands for Tanno also helped Taika put food on the table, kept the lights on and the water running.
She typically took pride in it...Now, with two AMF cocktails, two shots of gin, and one Yaeger Bomb, Taika had a hard change of heart. She tuned out the details of the previous conversation but judging off Momo's red face and Tsu and Mina's teasing grins, a change of topic would be appreciated.
"I want to be a sugar baby." Taika admitted seriously. Her words were clear and steady for someone who swore up and down she was drunker than a skunk.
Never mind the fact they were literally out celebrating the teleporter because she won three scholarship awards and secured her spot in the hero course for their next year of university. Taika could only focus on how all her hard work and hustling left her feeling sore and exhausted.
Todoroki nearly spat his drink out. "No, you don't."
Taika pouted at him; she folded her arms across her chest and straightened her posture. "Yes, I do. The universe needs to send a man to take care of me."
Todoroki narrowed his eyes at her, "Miri..."
"Fine," Taika uncrossed her arms and dropped the unhappy pout. "I'll settle for a Splenda daddy or a trust fund baby."
Trust fund babies like the ones that would soon crowd the beautiful beaches of Retesuwa during the summer. The same kind of trust fund babies who would also leave the waste along the sandy shores for people like Taika to pick up once their party was over.  As much as she missed Auntie and Uncle, she wasn't eager to return to Retesuwa in the summer for minimum wage.
"Midoriya," Mina joked as she clasped a hand on the muscular young man's shoulder. "Aren't you a trust fund baby?"
Todoroki noticed how Taika's body shifted away from his side to Midoriya's.
Taika arched a perfectly sculpted eyebrow at the green hair man. "Midoriya, would you like a girlfriend?" She could feel Todoroki glaring at her but she stayed focused on Midoriya and his rapidly blushing face.
"Well, I, uh," Midoriya's glossy eyes and stuttered words expressed how drunk he was.
Taika and Mina merely laughed as Midoriya stumbled through their teasing.
"I mean, it's not that I-," Midoriya struggled.
"It's okay, Midoriya." Taika brought a blue cocktail to her lips and took an appreciative sip as her eyes met his. "I know I'm not your type."
Little did Taika know about the way they spoke about her in the privacy of the men's locker room. With some exceptions, the consensus was Taika didn't have to be their type to get it.
Right now, Todoroki contemplated asking Midoriya if he still had sketches of Taika in her new hero suit, but tonight was supposed to be a good night out with friends.
"In order to get sugar from a "daddy" you have to put out." Todoroki muttered clearly enough for only Taika's ears.
"I can put out," Taika replied as she contemplated continuing this conversation with him. The one remaining sober brain cell in her whole system screamed at Taika to shut up.
Sure thing, you prude, Todoroki thought as he snuck a longing glance at the way the silky lavender dress perfectly hugged the curves of Taika's body.
"Well..." Drunk Taika completely ignored her sober brain cell warnings. "My mouth is more willing to put out than my-."
Todoroki choked on a small bit of ice that suddenly formed in the back of his throat; Bakugo roared with laughter at the display first, the rest of their drunk friends joined in soon after.
"Let's get you some water," Taika pivoted to help save face; the alcohol forcing her to forget the reason why the poor boy started choking to begin with; she urged him up to his feet.
"Taika!" He scolded once he managed to melt the ice from inside his mouth.
"Sorry." Taika led him by his arm to the bar. "I didn't think you'd react that way to my joke."
"Who said I took that as a joke, Miri?"
Taika's eyes went wide with surprise and Todoroki noticed how pretty her eyes were even under the flashing lights of the club.
"What?" Taika blinked back at him; her mind suddenly unable to understand the Japanese language.
Todoroki blinked back at her; drunken impatience pumped through his veins. "What?"
Even as a bartender silently handed both tall glasses of water; Taika glanced at Todoroki as if he sprouted a third eye.
Taika sipped her water as a small wrinkle of concern and bewilderment furrowed her brows. She opened her mouth to try and speak; only to be shocked all over again.
Todoroki watched her openly with an air of amusement, he didn't need to be sly and coy with as drunk as they both were in the situation.
"I'm sorry." Taika bristled as she pushed her water away. "What did you mean earlier?"
"What do you mean? I already told you what I meant." He retorted as he rested his chin in the palm of his hand and leaned against the bar.
Taika took two steps closer toward him; her mind tried to find the words she wanted in Japanese to communicate with Todoroki, but it jumbled up with her native language instead.
Oh wow, she realized as she tried to recall the words she wanted in the language she wanted. I'm drunk-drunk.
He pushed her glass back toward her.
"If you meant it, say it again then." Taika said under her breath after a few minutes, unsure of if she wanted Todoroki to hear her response.
Todoroki titled his head at her words, "What?"
"Nothing." Taika replied as she now sensed two sober brain cells that floated in her alcohol addled mind; her eyes carefully analyzed Todoroki.
She gazed upon him many times while they were both drunk but not like this; not so closely and so ardently. She wondered if he knew how handsome he was. If he knew how soft and welcoming his lips looked? Her eyes trailed downward, and they fixated on the Gucci logo right on his belt.
Oh right. A lightbulb slowly went off as Taika remembered the most basic thing about her dear friend. He's filthy rich....but he's not a litter bug, so that's not too bad.
"Have you ever had a sugar baby?" Taika asked as she mimicked his posture.
The literal gasped that befell his lips was downright offended; it was as if in that moment Taika was in the presence of an angel rather than Todoroki.
"No, I've never had a sugar baby." He sneered at her with annoyance evident in how he lightly pointed at her chin. The motion was gentle despite his stern monotone.
Taika scoffed, "No. You haven't had a sugar baby yet."
"You're never going to bag yourself a sugar daddy," Todoroki immediately shot back at her jab. "You talk back too much, Miri."
Drunk or sober, Todoroki truly meant that statement.
Taika shrugged and teased the young man even more. Sometimes, he made it so easy to pick on him she couldn't resist. "Maybe I'm not the right type of sugar for you, Shoto."
Todoroki rolled his eyes at her; he leaned close enough to her face, barely half an inch in between their lips.
"Miri," Todoroki started out carefully with a lick of his lips. "If you are serious about being a sugar baby, you need to think and act like one."
"And put out, right?" Taika remarked as she met the intense look that darkened Todoroki's features. She felt like she was going to melt under that gaze.
"More like be submissive." He watched as a look of disgust registered on Taika's face; he smirked. "Extremely submissive."
"I..." Taika's eyes shifted with uncertainty before she focused back on Todoroki. "I can be submissive."
The laugh that emitted from the half and half quirk user was hardy and warm and full of affection. Taika narrowed her eyes at that response despite how lovely Todoroki's laugh sounded.
Oh, very funny, you think I'm stubborn. Taika fought the urge to roll her eyes only because she was sure Todoroki would comment on that too.
He motioned for the bartender; his eyes parted from hers for a moment; and he caught his breath after such hearty laughter. "I'm still thirsty. You want anything, Miri?"
The Retesuwa native shrugged. She could feel sobriety attempt to break through the alcohol induced fog that clouded her mind.
"One peach maitai for her and I'll take Moscow Mule, please." Todoroki slid a fifty over the bar and looked back over at Taika. "You like those right?"
She nodded quietly; genuinely surprised that he remembered her typical go to drink order.
🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸
There were topics that Todoroki and Taika never touched on when they were of sober mind and thought. It was a mutual unspoken rule between the two friends.
They never spoke about romantic interests to the other; and they never knowledge the stray glances of affection and tender gestures that slipped into their supposed platonic relationship. Yet, two additional drinks later (they promised the other this was their final round) that unspoken rule finally broke.
Todoroki had never seen Taika blush before (he doubted she was capable of it at this point); but he could finally tell when he had her flustered.  Which, if he was correct, Taika's tell was the subtle way she bit the inside of her bottom lip.
"What?" He nudged his shoulder against hers to test his theory. "You're not going answer the question?" He blew cool air in her direction, "Rule breaker."
Taika gently bit the inside of her bottom lip; unsure if his question really needed an answer. "No getting mad, okay?" She pointed delicately at him; a slight accent in her tone as she tried to focus mainly on speaking Japanese.
Todoroki silently crossed an 'x' over his heart.
Taika swallowed down the last of her peach maitai. "At a beach, it was junior prom."
Todoroki finished the rest of his Moscow Mule. "In public?" He sounded impressed.
"No! Not in public." Taika scoffed as she rested the weight of her head on his shoulder. "Locals know the good hiding spots on beaches, so I found a secluded area."
Todoroki rested his chin atop her head and snaked a hand around her waist.
"Would you take me there too? If I visited Retesuwa?"
"No. I'd probably take you anywhere else." Taika answered as she felt the tender way he squeezed her hip. Retesuwa was nowhere near nice enough for Todoroki Shoto; south of Kama Mountain or otherwise. "Besides, I don't want to take you to where I lost my virginity. Would you want to take me to the dojo where you lost yours?"
"It's our family dojo," Todoroki stated all too drunk to understand what Taika meant. "From one of our homes along the countryside, so I could take you if you wanted."
"Well, now I just don't want to visit your home out in the countryside." Taika sighed softly as she breathed in the scent of his cologne.
"Sugar babies meet where their sugar daddies tell them to." Todoroki whispered slowly.
Taika shrugged only to feel Todoroki's hand travel away from her waist up to the small of her back, "Well, if they want my sugar, they should meet me when and where I tell them too."
Todoroki made a face, but he didn't have the words needed to counter her comment. He wondered if alcohol somehow made Taika's mouth smarter. Although, briefly.
"Maybe I need a sugar daddy that's easy to bully like Midoriya." Taika commented after she realized how demanding being a sugar baby sounded. Her two sober brain cells disappeared well over an hour ago, but had they been with her, they would have NEVER allowed her to coherently say those words in front of the dear Prince of UA University.
"Hey." Now, for some reason Todoroki's forehead pressed against Taika's and he is fixated on those brown eyes of hers.
Her heart and breath both froze in captivation and embarrassment once she realized her statement. His eyes darkened with drunk bravery and vexation as he stared his friend down.
"I only meant Midoriya is, like, easy to push around," Taika's drunken panic rooted so deeply into her soul; her mind wasn't sure what to say next.
"Besides, Midoriya is more husband material than sugar daddy material anyways. - " Pools of cocoa brown eyes instantly closed out of pure instinct at the blunder. She bit her lips down into a straight line.  Why did you say that? Taika cringed at her words.
Suddenly, Todoroki had the right words for the purple haired beauty. His expression looked rather smug the moment he realized how nervous Taika was.
"I'm fit for both roles." Todoroki teased with playful tug of Taika's long, flowy curls. A boyish grin on his handsome face as enjoyed this moment between her and him.
Taika felt the heat from her panic die down once she heard that flirty tone in his voice; Todoroki felt his heart skip several beats once her eyes opened and unabashedly met his gaze.
Their lips gravitated toward each other; Todoroki felt Taika's fingers hook onto his belt loops of his trousers and the little tug she gave him signaled a warm invitation.  Todoroki wondered what her lips felt like, and now he'd have an answer.
"OH, MY GOODNESS, TAIKA! I AM TRIPPING BALLS RIGHT NOW. I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND YOU."
It was almost comical how quickly both Todoroki and Taika immediately jumped away from the other at the sound of Sero's voice. Taika quickly smoothed her hair out whilst Todoroki adjusted his cuffs.
Sero's face flushed with relief when he then noticed red and white hair and mismatched eyes. "'Roki, thank goodness you're here too."
Taika held back the urge to scream; Todoroki tried his best to look unbothered.
"Why are you tripping?" Taika asked over the loud club music. She was sure Sero had basic weed edibles before.
Sero looked down bashfully at his feet; the nervous grin on his face reminded Todoroki of a child who just got caught red handed with something they shouldn’t have.
"I accepted a chocolate bar from some girl while waiting in line for the bathroom."
Taika immediately sobered up and her eyes narrowed in irritation and concern for the tape-based quirk user.
"Damn it, Hanta!" Taika grabbed both Sero's and Todoroki's wrists as she marched to find Iida or Momo. Her anger was evident in how her pretty face morphed into a scowl. She was too drunk to properly deal with this situation, but sober enough to know how to pass the buck to someone else.
"This is the second time! Stop accepting food from strangers!"
Sero scoffed and whispered to Todoroki. "Shinso and Denki also did it too though."
Todoroki shared Taika's irritation more than concern. Their moment of affection, gone. Who knew if they'd ever have a chance to be like that again.
If Sero wanted to ruin their night, fine. Todoroki would ruin Sero's weekend.
"He said Shinso and Denki did it too, Miri." Todoroki reported to Taika once they located Iida.
The fire that ignited inside her eyes made Todoroki's heart flutter. She shook her head in disappointment and placed her hands on hips in a dangerous manner.
"And Shinso and Denki did it too, so they're probably tripping somewhere in this club! Shinso is not in the right mindset to be high off shrooms right now!"
Iida placed his glass of water down and sighed. At this point, he was going to put their whole class on lockdown for disorderly conduct.
