RE: PONY SERVITOR 2076 SCORECARD is a spreadsheet entitled 2076 CRYOPRESERVATION RECORDS. There's not much at all to dig through- it's just a list of thousands of names. Names, addresses, miscellaneous personal information, and some fields with weird labels like KEN (TIN FOX), AN COASTAL STURGEON, INVEST-IN-CORVETTE SLANG, and LOOP TO DECANT COIL.

Not all of these fields are filled out. Many records have blanks in various columns, or notes in an indecipherable shorthand explaining special cases. It's hard to make heads or tails of.

ENCODED::: WRANGLED MOUSEWATER TAFFY is an email chain titled "FW: FW: RE: DANGEROUS ANOMALY DETECTED". It appears to be addressed to a representative of the Solem Deep Hotel, from Governor Thinrar. Apparently, government scientists have discovered that some sort of dangerous data radiation was detected emanating from below the city, near where their hotel was established. Thinrar offers to send a work crew to have it removed- but the hotel refuses this service and denies him permission to break earth on their property.

The chain is eventually forwarded to DEADLOCK DETECTION, who devises a plan to force a sale of the property by constructing a mall nearby, and volunteers to head up the project. Several followup emails from Thinrar over the years asking for status reports... receive a cavalcade of improbable logistical obstacles blocking this effort, and assurances that the project will be complete any day now. These continue from 2077 until 2092, where they cut off.

LETTERED CORRECTNESS FOUNDATION ENDECOTT FUNERAL DIRECTOR'S NOTES are dated 2092. They describe a private ceremony held at the Solem Deep Hotel, where DEADLOCK DETECTION was put to rest. The junior DEADLOCK DETECTION, along with her young son PAUL BLART MALL COP, were in attendance, and expressed a commitment to carrying on her life's mission. However, the funeral director worries about the sincerity of that commitment, noting a slip-up where she almost said she promised to complete that work, which is of course contrary to the entire idea.

You're about to dig into a few more files, when Walter notices something unusual.

One of the stalagmites you're hiding behind has a row of sharp teeth. Actually, most of them do. Also so do the stalactites on the ceiling above you. You're all but surrounded- and your avenues of escape are limited and dangerous. It would be a terrible time to be distracted by-

One of Walter's teeth- hey, don't you both have beaks? What are you doing with teeth?- suddenly becoming evil. It couldn't be a worse time for a TOOTH-HEEL TURN.

The tooth tells Adea that Walter's the real villain- a lecherous pervert, even! HE GROPED NINE AVIANs, the creep! She should dump him and join Team Tooth!

Adea questions this story- she'd never heard about Walter getting accused of sexual harassment by anyone. The tooth says OH, I LOCKED A BEHIND, so he couldn't grab it. It foiled his evil plan!

DAMN, FATHER OFFENDED! Walter says none of that is true, and that his tooth probably isn't even real! He's only ever groped the one avian, and consensually at that!

A bellhop from the FAMED PYRITE HOTEL, the Solem Deep's nearby competitor, interrupts to say they've got rooms for rent if you're in need of shelter. Five stars! Eminently real!

Reminded again, as I periodically am, that there's a fair number of people in the fandom that think of Nott the Brave and Veth Brenatto as two different characters, and not fundamentally the same woman. In the absolute literal sense, this is false: Nott the Brave, returned to the body of her choice and using her real name once again, is absolutely precisely the same person she was before Caleb cast Transmogrification on her. This is, incidentally, one of her main sources of angst towards the end of the campaign! A part of Nott must have both feared (and, in some ways, hoped) that when she was changed back into a halfling, she would also be a different person. That the person she became traveling with the Nein would be an easy identity to shed, which she may have hoped for because it would be easier to fit herself back into her home life with Yeza and Luc--and because it would be easier to say goodbye to the Nein if that were the case. And she feared it because she liked this person she became, no matter how transgressive society would label her for it. And she loved the Nein and didn't want those feelings to be altered.

But she didn't change. Veth Brenatto is Nott the Brave and Nott the Brave is Veth Brenatto. This was always the point. That's why it's an anagram. It's just that when she's Veth Brenatto again, she is much more focused on the why of what she's doing. Why am I still with the Nein? Why am I still adventuring? Why do I have this reticence to return home to my family? Why don't I long for that quiet, domestic life the way I once did? Her emotional journey becomes intensely personal, sometimes subtly/quietly told, and wholly about what kind of future she wants for herself and how her choice could affect those around her. Her two families become anchor points pulling her in different directions and she has to deal with that. Which is a different story than what she was telling when she was still Nott the Brave. Nott's story was much simpler--I am a goblin and I hate it and I would like to be a halfling again. I would like to be able to be with my family again. It's straightforward and it's achieved! But that's not where it ends, because she still needs to figure out a real, functional future for herself once her goal has been achieved.

All this to say, I think when people say they prefer Nott over Veth, it's important to remember that you are reacting to a certain story arc for the character, not an entirely different character. It may also pay to ask yourselves why you think they're so different. Was "Nott" funnier than "Veth" to you? Does her ability to serve as comic relief fundamentally change whether you like her or not? Did you appreciate "Nott's" themes more than "Veth's"? Or did you even notice the themes being explored in Veth's later game at all?

hello, what is the 'games untold'??

Hi, so JLB dropped a clue regarding the last card which is the surprise for Wednesday. She said some people kind of guessed it and that if we looked online, we might find another clue. People found a book called Duel Amongst with an anagram version of JLB’s name. It was labelled TIG 5. There was also another number code that translated to “Love is power”. Then, I found people putting the summary of the book in the Insta comments which was more than the initial stuff most people found. I saw people looking at Penguin Books UK and so when I went on the website, I found the summary and a little later after that, the new cover. It seems that it will be a collection of short stories with our fave couples and the brothers as well. There are several. Hope that explains it well enough.

THEORY.

I think, in some weird way, that the merchandise and audio give extreme foreshadowing to what's going to happen to certain characters as the story dives, mainly through the art and choice of words.

1. The constant mentioning of Barnaby losing his head is greatly worrying. This is something almost a lot of people know of.

2. Julie is connected to her theater character Sally assigned her with, specifically with the quote of "a harrowing journey of self-discovery and vengeance." This is connected with an old photo that Clown drew of the disturbing woman behind Julie in one of the non-canon art.

3. Remderem being an anagram for Remember, with the d swapping b. This might connect to the hidden 'd' section on an advertisement, alongside the slinky toy being the only toy in the recent update labeled "d" who coincidentally has a "b" in his name.

4. The recipe book cover on Halloween update. This one I'll explain entirely alone.

The picture with Wally being in front symbolizes how he's going to play an important role in the story. Behind him, on a stool, is Sally, Barnaby, and Eddie. Sally was the person who mentioned a monster hidden near the neighborhood, and Eddie who witnessed a weird trip later on in the Christmas update, (not to mention, his face is mainly focused on during Wally eating an apple)

Julie and Howdy are not with anyone and go their separate ways, facing a more individual role for their part. This connects with my Julie theory, and Howdy could be an exception since he knows the stuff he sells isn't really edible.

Poppy and Frank are not in there at all, presumably either no space or they're hiding. Perhaps this is intentional.

Barnaby is in the top center, right above Wally. We don't know much of him knowing or witnessing anything, but I feel there's going to be an importance to him. This could connect with another person's theory about the word "smooth" from the commercials (and in the crispy sweets pancakes recipe) being important in some way or, in my opinion, could foreshadow him, perhaps dying or being the catalyst of whatever insanity to start. He hovers like an angel, with only his head there.

Polycystic Ovaries 

The “-cystic” in polycystic ovarian syndrome is characterized by what appears to be “string of pearls” on the ovaries. These pearls are raised follicles that occur during all women’s proliferative phase of the menstrual cycle. During this phase, oocytes begin to mature in preparation for ovulation. Because those w PCOS experience endocrine-metabolic dysfunction, the oocyte maturation process of the proliferative phase struggles to take place; lessening both the regularity and strength of ovulation. As a result, a trail of immature ovarian follicles is left on the ovary, likening themselves to small cysts- or string of pearls. This is important to understand being that “polycyst” is a misnomer. The ovaries of a person w/ PCOS is not that of someone experiencing true cysts- which are masses of tissue that form in the ovary. These “polycysts” are simply immature ovarian follicles.

The Lore::Role::Lure::Rule of Pearl

The Lore:

Pearl formation has been a mystery for scientists for some time now- specifically the origins of the material that creates pearls. Nacre::Mthr of Pearl. Nacre not only occurs in pearl body, but also in the inner shells of a certain mollusk families. Both freshwater and oceanic mollusks produce pearls- but water pollution and habitat loss has contributed to the reduction of natural pearls. To curb this loss, cultured pearl farming accounts for the majority of pearls in the market today. [[Side note: I correlate freshwater and oceanic mollusk population reduction with the rise of strange medical issues like PCOS.]]

Nacre gives pearls an otherworldly strength for its size, and a rainbow sheen. Material scientists work tirelessly to synthetically recreate the nano-structure of nacre. The process of nacre is key to understanding just how ancient it is. [Read 1st link in this paragraph::find and highlight ‘coacervates’ in said article::delve into coacervates:: it will lead you to proto cell life of Early Earth]. Is it possible that the mystery behind the origins of nacre is that it’s processes are too advanced/ancient to recreate? I’d say so. That’s the Power of Pearl; it is a solid form of an Older-than-Old plasmatic aqueous phase; the same liquids that created first cell life, hardened by the dance of Calcium Carbonate, Aragonite and proteins. A morsel from before, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The reason why pearls sometimes shape themselves as tears 💧💧💧💧.

It is said that pearls are formed via the nacreous envelopment of an irritant. If something as minuscule as a grain of sand enters the mollusk and irritates the softness of its flesh, the mollusk will layer by layer overwhelm it with nacre. I see this similar to a spider weaving it’s prey, leaving behind a little pearled prey mummy to eat for later. Pearls/mollusk shells resemble the movement of silk fabric suspended in time, and comparatively spiders quite literally weave with incredibly tough silk. The difference between the mollusk and spider: the spider primarily weaves as an offense. To consume. The mollusk encapsulates as defense. To make peace of its pain.

Furthermore, throughout history there has been a fascination w finding the perfect pearl- for this reason, completely spherical pearls were favored most amongst the aristocracy of various lands. Freshwater mollusks are more likely to produce uniquely shaped pearls rather than spherical. The odd shapes are my personal favorite. As I see every person w PCOS a pearl unto her own unique iridescence, luster, origin, and shape. She simply has to realize it.

Pearls have also been associated with chastity, purity, royalty, wealth, and wisdom. It was a surprise to me, according to this article, that pearls have historical planetary associations with both the Moon *and* Venus. In my Artemisia write up, I noted how Artemisia is not only a lunar plant, but also a venusian one as well- as it is one of the main physical and psycho-spiritual menders of PCOS. 

The Lore of pearls gives us the sayings, “pearls of wisdom,” “the world is your oyster,” and the warning not to “cast your pearls among swine.”

The Role:

I am of the volition that all aspects of an “illness” exist to tell the person experiencing it a story. To tell those touched by someone experiencing an “illness” a story also. To give clues as to how to heal themselves and/or others. To mend the relationship between body, environment, mind, spirit, soul. It is vexing- the signature of a string of pearls. Pearls, being a symbol of beauty- juxtaposed with a condition that leaves people feeling less than beautiful in most cases. The strange hair growth, the unwanted weight gain, the hair loss, the fatigue, and subsequent fertility loss (SN: fertility has more to do with vitality than just producing a baby). 

What are pearls aiming to tell us? Their role? Surely more than skin deep...

We impose boundaries onto ourselves; defense mechanisms are inherent/instinctual. When one reliquishes its defense mechanism because of shame, fear of being a bad person, religious morality, being told as a child that it is wrong to defend yourself- your defense will in turn, turn on you. Give it room to protect you, instead of hating it]

- fully restores its original build and mechanical strength during decompression

[ ^ relaxation, self-expression, however that looks, is rejuvenating; it restores functioning metabolic-endocrine-nervous system/synthesis. It fortifies you for those unpredictable pressures]

- light reflects from its interior surface, interferes with the light reflecting from its outer surface

In this way, those w polycystic ovaries can begin to nourish these nacre qualities within themselves as a physical, mental, and spiritual practice::praxis. I want to highlight that it only takes something as small as a grain of sand to alert::alter::altar the mollusk to begin pearling. The PCOS person carries this same sensor-tivity::sensitivity.

eating mussels and oysters in season, raw, grilled or smoked. Favor fruits that “cluster” like polycystic ovaries (ex. blackberries, raspberries, etc.). Allow this signature to guide you in your own way to healing yourself.

Quick look at the documents in the front room of the House of Grief before we go deeper.

The "Security Guidelines" sitting on the front desk confirm what we already knew: that this is an incredibly hostile workplace environment.

Also unsurprisingly, the House of Grief is not actually the Sharran facility per se, but sits on top of it and acts as a facade to prevent curious interlopers.

Someone pointed out that DANIEL could be an anagram for DENIAL, as EYK is an anagram for KEY. This would indeed go well with the surname “Solace” too - something comforting in distressing situations.

Anna Freud referred to denial - a refusal to see reality - in mature minds as often being associated with traumatic events (rape- Tove, death- Ada, Nina, likely Elliot, being dying- Lucien and Elliot).

Shuri doesn't have a system like that with her possessions, but she tends to remember faces before the names come back to her. Once she's met a person enough, the names are stuck in her head.

Hatsuko takes little notes. Literally teeny scraps of paper. She has scraps of cheat sheets. This is for remembering every little thing.

Jani, being a sort of underground kingpin in Kugane, has meticulous codes for things she has to remember. Given her occupation, some information is too dangerous to let loose.

Linari likes to label things. She had Cid make her a literal label maker. Her house has tiny labels where her various items go.

Cu is the one who tends to have things be sung/hummed to commit to memory and order. Many of her fellow voidsent think she's been too "mortal" doing that.

NOW TO THE BG3 GORLS:

Rieta is the one to put things to remember into anagrams. She does it with her companions and items in her current vicinity. Anything she shipped to camp is another story.

Vasilisa is also a note-taker. She tries to hide it, though. She always carries a little notebook to remember things.

Ava is a photographic memory type of person to remember things. She tends to shock everyone with it and she is always so unbothered.

Nelia, being, a bard uses music to remember. She plays a note on her flute for each thing she has to remember, a short song for long series of letters or numbers.
