🐾 for #doggust2024 i'm browsing Petfinder and drawing real adoptable dogs from all across the US. do you have room for a furry guest? fostering not only helps free up space within the shelter, it also provides a much lower-stress environment for animals while they wait to be adopted, which can allow for a more accurate assessment of their personality and needs.

Attribution: Sir Alfred Munnings (United Kingdom, 1878-1959). First image is A Pit Bull named Weller, c. 1913, oil on canvas. Second image is Pekingese, 1909, oil on wood, 12 7/8 x 16 in, collection of Philadelphia Museum of Art @philamuseum .

Weller was a white bull-terrier owned by Munnings' friend, the artist Geoffrey Garnier. y Munnings to Garnier as a mark of their friendship. The Pekingese belonged to Lady Munnings and was seated in one of Munning's armchairs. I appreciate Munnings' affectionate portrayal of dogs.

Skoro padło pytanie o Freyę, to proszę uprzejmie. Blue amstaff, niecałe 5 miesięcy, najsłodszy odkurzacz świata. Dzisiejszy jadłospis urozmaiciły:

-kupa (własna)

- obwoluta "Kuchni polskiej"

- rolka po papierze toaletowym

- pół gąbeczki do mycia naczyń.

Jest w trakcie wymiany zębów, nie niszczy mebli, myszkując po krzakach CHRUMKA i robi wszystko, żebyśmy uznali ją za warchlaka. Niestety trufli nadal nie umie znaleźć.

My dogs 🐶🐕

Last Sunday, my father and brother got a Amstaff puppy from a family friend, my brother named her Freya (after the Goddess of the same name from Viking mythology). In the second photo there is Gioia, my half Chihuahua half Pinscher dog that I have had since 2015. Now I have two little sisters <3.

The American Staffordshire Terrier or AmStaff as it's nicknamed, is a medium-sized well muscled dog that's known for being loyal and confident. They are different from American Pit Bull Terriers based on height (they are shorter) and build, except in the UKC where they are the same breed and the British Staffordshire Terrier is a different breed. All kinds of Staffie are great guard dogs and companion pets.
