They say it's the end of an era. And I would have to agree. But I think this was about more than a social media platform.

The TikTok ban went into effect last night in the U.S. after a little over a year of debate about whether the government would use its power to shut down an app that it said posed a national security threat. There are many theories about why TikTok was targeted. Maybe Meta lobbied to take it down because it was losing profit margins.…
