So there's this story about a person who was born and raised to despise each and every human being ever born into the world. The entire reason for his existence—the reasons for all of his ancestors' existences throughout history—is to enact vengeance on humanity for their crimes.

Then that vengeful being, despite his best attempts not to, befriends a human man. He finds himself caring for one human and that human's younger brother, finds himself becoming part of their family, even though it goes against everything he is and is supposed to be. He finds himself loving these two people so deeply that it rewrites his whole worldview—changes him from a vengeful monster into something that hopes dearly for humanity's redemption and begs his father not to let them be destroyed.

It's a story about the power of understanding and connection, a story about learning to believe in the human potential to be good. And that story starts with one remarkable man who unknowingly manages to win the love of the personification of nature's vengeance in human skin.

The kicker is—that one man that befriends the monster? Who rewrites the vengeful being's whole worldview just by being beside him? He kinda fucking sucks, actually.

Horror films will start off saying "this family seems really off, aggressive and secretive... they must have bad intentions towards their child!" and you're like "please show me horror developing in the silence that grows in rooms of abuse" and as you're still saying this, the horror films will say "Hah!!! i think there's horse sexism in the kentucky derby . field of twenty horses, right? plus a couple more runners-up that can swap in if somebody has to drop out . not a single filly in the lineup. which obviously doesn't mean i think that like ... the HORSES are sexist . but i imagine that in a field where most of the top trainers are men themselves, there's more of a focus on training the colts that come across their paths, and perhaps even more colts being selected to be trained towards these big races in the first place . a horse is a horse is a horse, they all go fast, but there's probably an unconscious bias from breeders, trainers, owners, etc that prevents the field from being more diversified

#most jockeys are very small men also . as opposed to average-small women #you'd think there'd be more women jockeys . simply because of the odds of being short or slim enough to ride a horse fast #but it's mostly guys #okay scratch that . most of the small-time people i know who are horse people are women. the local tracks are probably full of em #but the guys whose names you see every year? are guys . glass ceiling like any field but it's extra stupid in this one #because not only does it cover the human people involved in the sport. it extends to literal farm animals #starting to think the thoroughbred series lied to little old sixth grade me you guys ........#lkajsldkfj . i read those books and i was like . okay so the american horse racing culture is flooded with plucky young women . babe no #q

Production of American Psycho where all the instrumental tracks are just played from yt or spotify and Bateman goes on semi-scripted tangents about each product, and a few nonsensical ads for poisons industrial weapons etc are sprinkled in with increasing frequency as it goes on. Also all the songs are different because I fucking hate what they did with that show.

He tries cooking human sausage and fails at it and cries about it #He pulls a dumb prank on his fiance right before breakup. He does dogshit doodles and fills out a crossword with MEAT BLOOD BONE. Unserious #They give Jean a song about how nice it could be to settle down with him. Bitch that's the Hamptons era with Evelyn and guess how that goes #Having his spree when he gets back be countless bodies just writhing beneath him while he sings a power song...disgusting.
