Like Attracts Like

Everyone likes to throw around the phrase that opposites attract.  That’s never been an idiom that Sam Wilson could get behind.  When Sam had met people who had felt the complete opposite of him, he found them pretty loathsome.  They were weak and immoral, and if they did stand for anything at all, it was for the worst of what humanity had to offer. 

No.  Sam didn’t like that particular idiom.  He preferred the opposite one.  Like attracting like.

Nothing quite attracted Sam as someone who could reflect back all the things that were most important to him.  Sam fought tooth and claw for what he thought was right, and he knew his person would be just the same.

It was no surprise that he was smitten with Steve Rogers as soon as he laid eyes on him.  Steve Rogers was a mirror of Sam.  Same morals.  Same drive.  When one had a thought, there was a high chance the other had it at the same time.  Steve was kind, snarky, serious when he needed to be, and good.  He was so good.  They aligned perfectly.  His attraction was inevitable.  The fact Steve was so damn good-looking didn’t hurt either.

Like attracts like, and Sam Wilson was attracted to Steve Rogers.  Like the pull of a magnet, drawing him in so he could bask in the flow of electrons between them.  It was electric, and it turned out that it wasn’t just their morals that made them compatible.

Sex with Steve Rogers was next level.  They were puzzle pieces that fit together in ways that Sam had never fathomed before.  And while Steve had taken a little while to figure himself out, he was a quick learner and a pleasure.  It hadn’t taken them long to fall into synch and figure out a rhythm that left them breathless and sated every time.

Were things perfect?  Of course not.  When you were dating Captain America, dates could be few and far between thanks to the nature of his work, his taste in music was a little outdated, and worst of all, he cast a large shadow, and Sam didn’t love being caught in it.

But the thing about being eclipsed by the sun is that it only happened when it was shining directly at you.  Steve’s bright light was always turned directly on to Sam.   Sam knew his worth, and Steve knew it too.  Maybe it wasn’t enough, but it was the most important thing.

Like attracts like, and Steve Rogers was like Sam Wilson in all the most important ways.  Sam didn’t just like him, though.  He loved him.  He wanted to spend the rest of his life with Steve Rogers by his side.  In sync.  As they always had been.

And the best part of like attracting like?  Steve wanted that too.

U.S. airlines are suing to block the Biden administration from requiring greater transparency over fees that the carriers charge their passengers, saying that a new rule would confuse consumers by giving them too much information during the ticket-buying process. The U.S. Transportation Department said Monday it will vigorously defend the rule against what it called “hidden junk fees.” American, Delta, United and three other carriers, along with their industry trade group, sued the Transportation Department in a federal appeals court on Friday, asking the court to overturn the rule.

Anyone knows what this asshole is trying to do? He’s straight up trying to destroy the US from the inside out and trying to get access into the US treasury’s payment system. Pressuring the previous FAA director to resign after the FAA found that spacex was not prioritising safety enough, then now with all the guardrails removed or fired suddenly a Blackhawk slams into a plane and kills everyone on board? And now he’s saying he wants to work with Boeing to produce the new air force one, what can go wrong? Two companies famous for their products malfunctioning in fatal ways. And he’s getting his smelly hands into every government trying to influence them or their alt right population like the AFD. Anyone someone should look into him but they won’t, he’ll personally make sure of that.

Six passengers of a medical jet and one person on the ground were killed after the plane crashed in a Philadelphia neighborhood on Friday evening, officials said.

Hospitals in the city report at least 20 victims have been treated for injuries from the crash, which caused an explosion and set several homes ablaze near the Roosevelt Mall in the area of Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman Avenue.
