people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does. for every hated female politician, for every hated female historical figure, for the women you know in real life and on and on.

Amber Heard beats Johnny Deep to become Google's most-searched celebrity of 2022
Amber Heard beats Johnny Deep to become Google’s most-searched celebrity of 2022
Actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case has been one of the most talked-about celebrity cases in recent times. They have been making headlines since their trial earlier this year. Now, presumably due to their high-profile legal battle, as per a recent report, which analysed data from Google search trends in 2022, Amber has been declared the most-searched celebrity on Google this…

What do you think about Amber’s (Pike Mage’s) official design in the second series of Inscryption cards? I adored it honestly haha.
i really like it! i'm in the camp that it may not be exactly her, per se, since a) canonically she's still in training and b) the mage knight on the card has a sword and not a pike (though it's def implied in-game that she trains with different weapons), but it's super cool to at the very least have it confirmed that she's specifically training to be one of mag's mage knights
it's almost like an aspirational fully-realized version of amber, i can totally see her daydreaming about finally passing her exam and getting inscrybed as this badass lady knight
(had to throw in some retyrement thoughts too, this design is now officially how retyrement pike dresses for her LARP group lmao)

Another user posted about this article in another post and i thought it deserved its own post. Johnny Depp is an abusive asshole who’s got a history of doing this and ironically, he’s doing to Amber Heard what people are accusing Megan Thee Stallion of doing to her abuser. He decided to capitalize on the success she was having at the time to claw his way back to a career that was previously on its death bed.
Depp’s been caught abusing people over and over and held legally liable, and the blatant misogyny aimed at Amber Heard is hurting women everywhere. And no, it’s not “women are being hurt because she lied,” because she didn’t. It’s “women are being hurt because people didn’t believe her and want to excuse their favorite white boy’s behavior.”
ETA: that user was @saccharineinsanity but I was holding off to mention them til I got their permission

Men can be and often are victims...
That doesn't change the fact that Amber was abused by him . It could be mutual or more accurately it could be true that he was retaliating after her abuse but it could also be her relatiliation after HIS abuse . She won in the UK court for a reason.
So why are ao many people so proudly on the witch hunt ? Does calling her evil make people feel better about themselves
y’all are still on this? there’s no such thing as mutual abuse. someone started it and the other defended themselves. the UK case is bullshit because it was literally (1) person deciding, whereas here we have a full jury and each party gets to fairly represent their sides with as impartial people as possible. the UK’s system is really fucking stupid imo.
“men can be and often are victims” and “it could be true that he’s retaliating” explain it all already. you don’t even need to ask this. everyone here has already been through this conversation a million fucking times. if you disagree, fine, but it’s not my job to convince you who the abuser was. it’s the court’s job and that already happened.

Vasai Murder
Let's apply the knowledge of abuse I learnt from Amber Heard's supporters:
[The perpetrator excuses]
"I have a sad, SAD childhood!"
"SHE proposed to ME first!"
"I got her a JOB!"
"BUT, on job, she cheated on me!"
"I tried to end my life! Pity me!" Should have ended it.
The victim was 14 when the relationship started, a young age. There is an age gap of around 9 years.
The victim was killed after two weeks of break up. Trying to leave the abuser is when a lot of women gets killed.
The victim approached the police, they didn't pay attention to her allegation, next she's dead.
Don't bother listening to this criminal's bullshit. His conduct so far fits the pattern of abuse.
There is a VIDEO of how this criminal killed her. What do you mean 'alleged'?
For the Manipur video, I read a tweet of a swine, who shared a blurry video of a man being beaten, and was lamenting how male victims don't receive attention and things like 'Is it his fault that he wasn't born a woman to receive sympathy' or something like that---
THIS Vasai murder video DIDN'T generate national outrage.
Every few days, videos depicting violence surface on the internet. Muslim man being attacked by a mob, women being kidnapped, molested, dragged on street, dead woman lying on ground.
Most of these videos DO NOT send the nation into a frenzy. The Manipur video was AN EXCEPTION that sent a nation of 1 billion into fury.
If you think being born a woman is sooooooooo nice, you're more than welcome to be one.

it actually makes me so sad when i think about the trial last year, it genuinely makes me so fucking sad and nauseous and afraid for victims because yall do not care at all about justice, yall do not care about protecting vulnerable women. yall just want to get on your high horse and fucking preach and hold other people who have "fucked up" accountable. it genuinely makes me sick seeing everyone turn on ashton kutcher and mila kunis because yall ruined amber heard's life and reputation for nothing. if danny masterson wasn't convicted, yall would be right there with mila supporting that piece of shit and it makes me fucking horrified for victims.

You clearly can be manipulated if LOSING three trials about the same case but buying into the only publiticised one makes you believe he wasnt an abuser
So…you’re defending a woman who admitted to hitting her husband on tape, the metadata of her EDITED photos was exposed, who called TMZ to the courthouse to catch a picture of her “bruise” and I’m the one who was manipulated? 😂😂

i’m confused. isn’t it bad that amber settled?
i don’t think so!
it offers her a chance to finally be rid of her abuser, once and for all. she will no longer have to suffer through his legal abuse and she will not be forced to relive her trauma again for the public or for anyone. she will be able to move on with her life, her activism, her acting, and raising her beautiful daughter!! hopefully this can begin to officially be behind her and she can move forward in peace 💕

once again encouraging everyone to read this essay and think long and hard about why it's so easy to support men because the tiktok algorithm tells you to while completely disregarding and dehumanizing women who speak up against abuse.
