people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does. for every hated female politician, for every hated female historical figure, for the women you know in real life and on and on.

What do you think about Amber’s (Pike Mage’s) official design in the second series of Inscryption cards? I adored it honestly haha.
i really like it! i'm in the camp that it may not be exactly her, per se, since a) canonically she's still in training and b) the mage knight on the card has a sword and not a pike (though it's def implied in-game that she trains with different weapons), but it's super cool to at the very least have it confirmed that she's specifically training to be one of mag's mage knights
it's almost like an aspirational fully-realized version of amber, i can totally see her daydreaming about finally passing her exam and getting inscrybed as this badass lady knight
Tumblr media
(had to throw in some retyrement thoughts too, this design is now officially how retyrement pike dresses for her LARP group lmao)

The JD vs Amber Heard stuff was actually insane. I didn't keep up with it because I disagreed with the sheer principle of publicizing something like *that* but the misogyny was MASK OFF...
NO LIKE FRL IT WAS SO INSANE
#ask tag#Tbh like#The thing is i’d already known and been misinformed about the case for a long time prior so I started off thinking depp was innocent#And then I remember when I realized he was very much not partially Bc of the hate I was seeing towards Amber Heard#Like the exposed texts of him saying extremely sexist violent stuff about her and everyone just dismissing that#It became clear that I was wrong from the get-go like that he actually was horrible and I assumed everyone else would realize that too#but then the more ppl dismissed or mocked the real indisputable evidence she brought up#The more I saw that ppl didn’t actually care#They were just excited to be evil and dismissive towards a woman#Lmao sometime after that I stopped giving a fuck about “male mental health” bc clearly they’re not being as shunned as they pretend they r#Sorry is that controversial#I’m just saying if u reversed the genders that trial would’ve played out way differently#The concept of male victims and men with poor mental needing extra attention and care bc theyre sooo marginalized bc they’re men#And they dont get respect and support like those selfish abused women#Should’ve died after this case#Bc whenever there are male victims they get all the support and attention from everyone#Female victims get This#Like dont get me wrong there’s stigma#But the stigma for male victims is “lol you’re like a woman now that’s funny” “lol so r u gay”#The stigma for female victims is “you evil bitch how could you ruin his life you deserved worse you bitch”

see too many ppl still defending jdepp or running with the "mutual abuse" angle so here's a video presenting basically all the (publicly available btw! for anyone to be able to look up!) information on this case. Let it be known if you still support jdepp i am assuming you have never done a grain of research into this in your life and just ran with public opinion and misinformation
#amber heard#r.txt#debating on whether or not i should send my siblings this video bc they're a) pro-jdepp b) saying it was mutual abuse or c) don't know#whose side to be on anymore after previously being pro-jdepp. but like i'm convinced they haven't actually ever done any research to base#their opinions on bc once you know all of this it's pretty obvious that amber was the victim in the situation but i don't want to offend an#of them by implying they haven't done their research. which would also be rlly disappointing bc why are u saying shit abt this topic if you#haven't properly informed urself LIKE. just say u don't know in that case instead of just going with popular opinion no. 1 aka pro-jdepp or#popular opinion no.2 aka it was mutual abuse blah blah they were both toxic af blah blah. anyway it would be rlly random to just send them#the vid and they probably wouldn't even watch it bc it's 2 and a half or so hours long and i just KNOW they're gonna be like i am not gonna#waste my time on smth i don't care that much abt or whatever. maybe the eldest will watch if i send bc he's already someone who watches#videos even if they're long asf i think he doesn't have a problem with the runtime but it's likely they don't think it's worth investing#time into or that they don't care abt rich famous people that much that they'd watch 150 minutes of info abt said people but at the same#time he's most likely to be open to other opinions. the second eldest is SO not gonna watch the vid bc it's too long but even so there is#still a chance she might at least watch a little of the video bc she is the one that was pro-depp before but said she doesn't know anymore#now. the third eldest is probably least likely to watch bc again it's a long vid and i don't think he'd watch + idk if he's that open to#hearing abt a different side. like this isn't specifically a pro-heard video it's at its core a video documenting depp&heard's relationship#and giving you all the relevant information in an orderly put togethet easily overseeable way but bc the evidence so clearly speaks to ambe#being the victim it is essentially also pro-heard but that's bc IT'S SO EASY TO SEE THAT SHE WAS THE VICTIM IF U ACTUALLY PUT THE EFFORT IN#TO READ UP AND CONNECT THE DOTS IN THE PUBLICLY AVAILABLE DOCUMENTS ARGHHHGGHH#anyway. maybe will send the video maybe not idk it does piss me off that they seem to have not put in research of their own before coming t#a conclusion abt this case and i want them to have the information and i also just want them to know where i'm coming from when i say i'm o#the sure opinion that amber was the victim in this case and that i HAVE done my research into this when the case was around and i'm not jus#talking out of my ass and being extremely feminist to a fault or wtvr ppl are saying#depp v heard#video#there is a pt 2 and 3 to this btw they're also good but pt 1 is the most information abt the case itself during the time they were together#while pt2 is more history of the hatred towards amber heard that was arouns since the beginning and jdepp's violence in life and love +#substance abuse issues and pt3 is more abt the most recent 2022 trial and why that was an unbalanced trial to begin with (jdepp literally#has an estimate of 150 million dollars at his disposal to use and amber heard has an estimate lf 500k. one of many unbalanced things in this#trial) & also discussing why so many ppl jumped on the hating amber heard bandwagon so readily. still both good vids that i'd recommend

For all the times rad fems accused people who believe Johnny Depp of only caring about the case/"siding" with him because of his fame, they sure don't fall over themselves to justify, blatantly lie for or ignore contrary evidence for Sarah Boone killing Jorge Torres like they did for Amber Heard abusing past partners and Depp.

*head in my hands* Kelvin said to his face that the rocking chair was stupid just to hurt him (because he was hurt) when Keefe probably spent hours on it and did it all for him and even put his NAME on it even though in the precedent scene at the carpentry Kelvin told him all about how Taryn perfectly replaced him and was so looooved by everyone and no one missed Keefe (BITCH YOU MISS KEEFE AND EVERYBODY KNOWS IT EXCEPT KEEFE WHICH IS THE PROBLEM) and this basically just confirmed to Keefe that he isn't needed but he still loves Kelvin so much and he was just desperate to show him what he could still do for him as a carpenter (because he failed him as an assistant youth pastor) and made him a fucking rocking chair and Kelvin said it was STUPID

Men can be and often are victims...
That doesn't change the fact that Amber was abused by him . It could be mutual or more accurately it could be true that he was retaliating after her abuse but it could also be her relatiliation after HIS abuse . She won in the UK court for a reason.
So why are ao many people so proudly on the witch hunt ? Does calling her evil make people feel better about themselves
y’all are still on this? there’s no such thing as mutual abuse. someone started it and the other defended themselves. the UK case is bullshit because it was literally (1) person deciding, whereas here we have a full jury and each party gets to fairly represent their sides with as impartial people as possible. the UK’s system is really fucking stupid imo.
“men can be and often are victims” and “it could be true that he’s retaliating” explain it all already. you don’t even need to ask this. everyone here has already been through this conversation a million fucking times. if you disagree, fine, but it’s not my job to convince you who the abuser was. it’s the court’s job and that already happened.

it actually makes me so sad when i think about the trial last year, it genuinely makes me so fucking sad and nauseous and afraid for victims because yall do not care at all about justice, yall do not care about protecting vulnerable women. yall just want to get on your high horse and fucking preach and hold other people who have "fucked up" accountable. it genuinely makes me sick seeing everyone turn on ashton kutcher and mila kunis because yall ruined amber heard's life and reputation for nothing. if danny masterson wasn't convicted, yall would be right there with mila supporting that piece of shit and it makes me fucking horrified for victims.

Is Johnny Depp a womanizing creep? Is Amber Heard innocent?
You know, I was very invested in their libel trial on Twitter but I don't know if I ever mentioned it here so good job, anon, you asked me an inflammatory question I actually have an answer for.
What I have to say in this is bound to upset somebody, because this is a very charged situation and I know many people have strong opinions on these two, but if you want my honesty here, what I think happened to Johnny and Amber is the same thing that happened to my partner, Sawyer, with their ex.
They went balls to the walls too quickly and it got ugly.
I don't think Johnny is sainted, given his history of anger issues and outbursts, but when every woman he's ever been romantic with previous to Amber came to his defense, I think that indicates at least a boundary he tended to keep in check with regards to his anger. I don't think Amber is the innocent victim, either, given what those around her have commented on her behavior and attitude.
What I think they did was mistake boundless passion and sexual chemistry for love and threw themselves into a relationship without giving any time to build a foundation. I think they brought out the absolute worst in each other. They maybe had wild sex and decided that was enough until it couldn't cover up the cracks anymore.
I have no idea who shot first here. I wasn't there, I don't know them, they're just celebrities to me. But I followed that trial closely and Johnny, to me, appeared perfectly willing to air out the bad things he had done, willing to admit the things he had done to Amber with ample evidence to explain as well what had been done back to him. Amber, at the trial, refused to drop the facade of blameless angel subjected to a terrorizing monster, even when she was caught in a lie more than once. That is, to me, at the very least, suspect. If she was telling the truth, she was not doing it very well.
At the end of the day, the only think I think with any certainty about them is that I think they turned each other into the worst versions of themselves without a lifeline. And it's a shame that it happened the way it did instead of them realizing they needed to walk away before it got worse.
