Ok so i think paralive can be divided into 3 parts to be better understood, aka the past, first live and second battle live. The information is pretty left around and you can gather stuff from their tweets and songs, but SPECIALLY the audio dramas which i can send you the link to if you want

Past is where the phantometals were created and the characters traumas stem from and how they got to where they currently are. We don't know a LOT about it but there is a fair share of information for us to pierce stuff together. Apparently a group of scientists found out the properties of this metal called phantometals and they can create illusions based on their emotions and singing, shit happens and the previously major group (buraikan) disappears without a trace until a competition (paradox live.) Begins which gives the winner group money *and* a chance to challenge buraikan

So. A quick rundown of each character and their traumas.

B∆e — Allen had his music style repressed by his parents and records burnt once, it's why the phoenix is his image (being reborn from the ashes). Anne had their entire self repressed as they are amab but she enjoys presenting herself femininely and was also forced to be their moms ideal prince. Hajun was sort of closed off from his family after shit went down and i think it's important to recognize his dad is a piece of shit + there's a lot on him + dongha tbh.

TCW — found family part 1. Neoakira and Yoheis trauma are somewhat pretty close since they're both connected to the same woman (Tsubaki, the dead third member in their past trio, the wife of one of them and also the mirrors of their old unit to bae, which is why yohei was so worried about the three performing together initially) with one losing her and the other being the one who turned off her life support. Shiki has a LOT of shit going on but tldr wow trauma. Ryu is a laboratory experiment (number 0) and it's better explained on the tcw x 1nm8 voice drama, but basically Ryu doesn't remember *anything* about his past at all

Cozmez aka the twins — Both had an extremely shitty live with no parents and the 'older' one (kanata) then having to take care of both of them. Because of that they submit themselves to a lot of stuff like phantometals experiments which caused one of the two to almost be corrupted. Kanata also works under ioris hand from time to time for money and they live on the slums, yeah

AKYR — found family 2. Also shared trauma but theirs is like. Between all 5 sort of. Iori is their leader and also the leader of the suiseki group and their trauma is exactly connected to the death of a shitton of members from the group, but also more. Zen used to work as a police officer before he left to work with iori after some stuff went down on the office and he got too scared to continue, but he agreed with ioris views. Satsuki is silly but also he is a young delinquent and because of that he saw pretty much everyone he loves/trusts go to jail while trying to protect him until he ended in the suiseki group. Reos parents are divorced and he grew up in an ambient of fights and shouts to the point he does call akyr his one real family. Hokusai was constantly shunned from society due to having a criminal dad even if he himself wasn't that and is why he found comfort in animals, since they don't judge him for that

The newest 4 are a bit more complicated since we have less information on

Visty — past visty, aka when kei was still in the group. Since he left (will talk more on the 1nm8 part) shogo was heavily affected due to suddenly lost attention and stopped believing he could be an idol until he was cheered up by the others. Toma is cheery and happy but this also affects him as he's afraid of only being seen as the happy positive one because sometimes he wants to show his other emotions too. Aoi admires Anne because while aoi is afab, he dreams of being a princely guy and because of that he idolizes Anne, wishing he could be as confident as her. Kantaro is an egosurfer and dwells on attention and praise, always updating social medias etc

Amprule — amprule is a complicated one and ill admit i don't know much about them. The tldr i can give you is some drama with the yeon family and dongha ending all alone too

1nm8 — shared trauma part 3. All of them were grown in a facility and subjected to experiments which changed them and gave them abilities (rokutas superforce etc). Kei used to be part of visty before he left to be able to help the other two out of the facility and they all started working together, while also trying to help the 0 (Ryu) as he seems to have lost all their memories

Gokuluck — also a complicated one as we didn't get much info on one of them for now. Yuto has did and goes from a good cop to the one that helps the inmates (hancho). Ryoga is connected to satsukis somewhat and it's heavily implied he's in jail after helping satsuki somehow. Kenta is a hacker and had a virus that could destroy governments all over the world which is why he was sent to jail for security measures. Shion is a bit more complicated but it is *implied* (not confirmed) he was sent to jail on accident/after manipulation from someone else. After that he became a hedonist and basically only seeks pleasure in life and has it as the one thing he cares for

Shiki: First, we have this piece of work. The theme for this piece is “Beginnings”.

Ran: It’s a plate…?

Shiki: That’s right. I tried to make it as flat and round to the best of my abilities. Compare it to something akin to being unable to see the horizon; that’s the image I was going for.

Shiki: It’s made from clay made from Okinawa soil. It makes for a unique colour when done well, don’t you think?

Shiki: Oh, this one’s also Raku-ware

Ran: Raku-ware?

Shiki: It means that it was fired with a low temperature. It also uses a specific type of clay and special glazing--...

Shiki: Ahh, I’m rambling, aren’t I? Sorry, little kitten. You’re not all that knowledgeable in pottery either…

Shiki: I’ll try to make things simple and just explain what kind of image I was going for instead. It’ll take quite a bit of time if I were to go into details for the other works anyway.

Ran: Not at all. You don’t have to hold back on my account.

Ran: It’s quite a rare opportunity to have you explain things to me in front of the actual product itself!

Ran: Rather, I’d really appreciate it if you do!
