I'm 17 years old, a minor, please remember that while reading this. I've been sexually assaulted 3 times in my life. Once at 10 years old, once at 13 and once at 14. I am afraid to leave my house, I never walk alone and I never walk at night. Every male in my life is constantly objectifying or complaining about women, these men include my family members, naighbours and my closest friend. I went for dinner at my 80 year old neighbour's house the other year knowing that he had hit on me Continuously for 3 years while I had been in school uniform, at said dinner he flirted with both me and my mum in front of his wife (I was 14) and threatened to shoot my cat. I have 1 friend who hasn't been sexually assaulted in his life, he's male just as a reference. Every female I have ever met is triggered by sexual assault because IT HAS HAPPENED TO THEM. While walking in a group (3 of us) a man approached us staring at my friend's breasts, got up in her face and gave her a lecture on how she shouldn't wear such revealing clothing (it was a vest top) because it's distracting for men and "what would you do if your little friends weren't around and I decided to grab you?" there were 10 witnesses to this conversation who chose to ignore what was happening, one even said "this generation" in an annoyed tone and rolled their eyes at us. When talking to a friend about clubbing, she told me she had go into a queer place wearing a short skirt knowing lesbians could control themselves usually and a straight man came over and started grinding on her from behind under her skirt without her consent. I have reported all 3 of the assaults which have happened to me and each time have been yelled at for talking to much (twice) or told "there's nothing we can do". When going to a pub with a group of 7 other people, I accidentally stopped walking as quickly as them and while trying to catch up was act called by 2 men, while trying to buy food from a shop I was catcalled by 3 guys around my age then when I told them to piss off was chased and yelled at. So many people I know have experienced SA in some form or another that when you talk about they say "honestly I expected you to say that" or "there's nothing we can do about it". My mum and I have been chased through a car park one time because we dared walking at night without a man. A girl I was flirting with had to thank me for talking to her because 2 men were harassing her before I got there. I have had to flag down a friend because a guy who had been stalking me and persistently asking me out was sat with his face an inch away from mine squinting at me and giving me uncomfortable compliments. I have been pinned against a tree and made out with against my will in the middle of a forest by a confirmed murderer. I have almost been hit by a car while trying to get away from a man (caught on voice recording). My 1 male friend and I have a code that he will pretend to be my boyfriend if necessary, this has been needed many times to stop guys from harassing me. A 13 year old girl I went to high school with recently messaged me begging me for help because her boyfriend had been raping her in front of their friends to make them laugh and the school was doing nothing about it despite her telling them about him. Every woman I know has received a dick pic at some point or another my friend received one 2 weeks ago while playing Minecraft from their boyfriend who had been sexualizing them so much that it caused them to relapse. My ex boyfriend and I broke up because he said (and I quote) "I would love to rape an autistic child because they wouldn't know what's happening".

My male friend said to me recently "wow you've just been dating the wrong people" "you've just had a lot of bad experiences, that sounds like a you problem to me" but if it's just me why are all young girls taught these things:

Get as much dna is possible if you get attacked

Fingers in eyes or hit the Adams apple

Shout "fire" instead of help, people respond faster

Target one person and ask for help in a crowded area, it makes it personal

Walk with your keys between your fingers

Boys will be boys

Dress conservatively so you don't distract men

If a man is harassing you go find a woman with children and pretend she is your mum

Always tell a friend where youre going

Share your location with multiple people online particularly if you're going on a date

Never walk alone, especially not at night

Ask any female presenting person for a list and you will see something along the lines of this. This is only HALF of the bad experiences that I have had with men discluding being mugged, an attempted rape and being pushed in roads and down flights of stairs.

Yes some femme people can handle themselves but the rest of us would prefer it if men just kept their hands to themselves.

Oh and it's not just women who can get SA'd! Don't take this post as a "all men suck and no man has ever been secually assaulted" post. Of course they can but have you seen the responses in comments sections of videos where men are talking about having been SA'd? You know, those ones where most of (not all of!) the women are commenting things like "I'm so sorry this has happened to you" and most of (not all of!) the men are putting "you're so lucky" "be grateful" "I'd let a woman rape me" "bro shut up" stuff like that.

Sorry for the really long very ranty post but this post above honestly angered me just a tad. I agree not all men but THE VAST MAJORITY.

We shouldn't be victimising women but we should still be acknowledge that men get away with Far. Too. Much.

Keep in mind before responding that I'm not mad at OP, I honestly find people's opinions very fascinating and I'm aware that their post was no entirely serious (said so in the tags), OP if you're reading this I do agree with a fair amount of what you've said but there are some points that I just don't entirely appreciate.this post isn't intended to embarrass you or make you reconsider posting what you did, I wish you all the best I just want to spread some awareness.

I know it doesn’t fit the kill all men narrative but instead of hurting the bad guy we should also care about actually solving the problem, and villainizing men and victimizing women does not help stop the cycle it only keeps making excuses for it, I’m sorry.
