guess who? it's me with hcs!
..Evelyn hcs? Hah, nope!
TWITCH HCS JUMPSCARE- /J
Ok ok, so first off I like to imagine since Twitch was never born with a real voice, she replicates everyone else's! Like Peppino, Gus, Stick, Gerome, etc.
She also has nicknamed many of the folks! Here's most of them:
Peppino = Mr. Pizza
Gustavo = Gnome boi
Mr. Stick = Oncelers cousin
Brick = Remy
Gerome = Short cousin!
John = Tall cousin!!
Pepperman = Apple
Vigilante = the cow guy.
Noise = Noid
Noisette = Cheesecake
Fake Pep/Bruno = The Thing (like the movie)
Pizzaface = food...
Pizzahead = that guy (..or malewife /j)
Evelyn = Mama!
Aaaand itself!/Twitch = ruoy tsrow eramthgin
It also has a pretty strong bond with the noise due to both of them wanting to cause CHAOS-
Also, whenever it manages to take control of Evelyn's body for a long period of time, other people would clearly be able to see its mannerisms, like biting at its own fingers, scratching its arms, often twitching in random parts of it's body, it's walk seeming more janky and jittery than usual, foot tapping and fidgeting with its hands or objects around itself.
Oke that it 4 now byebye-
Twitch is such a chaotic little shit-
I love this character and I absolutely love the names it gives the others 😂 NO SERIOUSLY ONCELERS COUSIN MADE ME CACKLE WHEN I FIRST READ IT- 💀💀
Also replicating others voices are cool but also CREEPY. Like what if it tricks you?…and not in a fun way….UGH SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT-

i have a few things to say and first of all i’d like to say how dare you? genuinely, how dare you? you are absolutely insane
the way i went through an entire rollercoaster of emotions that went from pure despise to shedding actual real salty tears is sickening, i want to yell at you fr
to repeat myself: how dare you? how dare you write such a fic that left me in shambles, on my knees, crying in a walmart parking lot, going through as many divorces as txt did for lovesong, bawling my eyes out, throwing myself against a wall and did i mention i cried?
jesus christ dear god goodness gracious holy mother mary i am NOT okay, it is 5am and i need to work tomorrow (more like getting up in 1 hour to leave for work) and i just could NOT stop reading your cheol work, i HAD to know how it ends, i could physically not handle not knowing how it plays out
first of all id like to say that the way you write is pure poetry, the words and descriptions you use are so rich in detail (like the paintings hehe) and gave your fic so so so soooo much life and depth, your writing style is just so mwah mwah 5 star michelin level, i can not stress enough how incredibly good your writing is
and the plot???? i saw 41k words and was legit like 👁️👄👁️->🫥->🤨-> 🥶 because i have the brain capacity of a fly that just flew against a window at full speed but OH GOD reading it was SO worth it and let me tell you, the plot was so good ???? like never did i ever even think about skipping a paragraph ahead
also, the way you wrote the characters is so good i don’t know if i want to throw something at you or smooch your brain, you really said enemies to lovers and not:
person a: “i don’t like you.”
person b: “fine i hate you too”
person a : “shall we still kiss?”
person b: “okay”
you legit said you’re whipping out a steven spielberg quentin tarantino oscar worthy plot i’d pay for to see in a movie because DAMN the characters (especially cheol lmao) were so well written and had SO much depth to them
next up, the scenes, THE SCENES
i hope you know you took my heart, shredded it, let birds pick it apart, threw it into the smoothie mixer and blended it, cut it with a chainsaw and then made it combust with that scene with cheol and his uncle talking about how he is in love and risking his career
also, the way you gave the nickname so much depth???? how did you even come up with that like??? your brain is built different, i swear if you were to take an x ray it’d be heart shaped because WHAT i SOBBED and i CRIED like actual water in my eyes down my cheeks, that was so cute, so precious and so tooth rotting sweet i want to run into a streetlight i could not handle that part of the plot i am still in shambles i want to sob every time i think back like ?????? (not spoiling anything specific here BUT AH THIS WAS SO KSKSKSKS)
in conclusion, i’d like to throw something at you for attacking the entire fandom like that BUT i would also like to wholeheartedly thank you for putting so much time and effort and thinking and love and brain capacity (yes your heart shaped brain, prove me wrong!) into that fic which is so so long but so full of plot and plot twists and lovely details and in total so lovingly written, your writing style is so nice like ???? the whole fic is a giant piece of art for real, thank you so much for blessing us with this, i wish you all the best and someone like the cheol you wrote to be your special someone, you deserve someone kind and caring and loving and only wanting the best for you because that is what you deserve
also i wrote this in a rush of emotions it is 5am my brain is dead and there might be typos grammar mistakes anything of the sort but i’d like to say i don’t know you but i love you sm for putting this out i hope i gets the appreciation it deserves and mwah i hope you’re having a great day
oh my fucking god this ASK THIS FUCKING ASSKKKK 😭💖💖🩷🩷💖💖😞😞😞💖😭🩷🩷💖 CURRENTLY SCREAMING CRYING INTO MY PILLOW SHITTING MY PANTS GIGGLING EXPERIENCING RESURGENCE OF GIRLHOOD

5 star Michelin level 😞😞😞💖💖😞💖💖😞💖💖😞💖 PLEASEEE im so glad u enjoyed the paintings description!! the art whore in me is very very happy 😞😭
A STEVEN SPIELBERG QUENTIN TARANTINO STAWPPPPPP ITTTT STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY I WILL KISS YOU 😞😞😭😭🥹🥹🩷 i was so nervous about pacing their hatred/love because I didn’t want them to just fall in love w each other quickly cause it wouldn’t be realistic at all !! thank u for appreciating that 🥹💖
SCR E WAMINGGGG UR WAY W WORDS ARE MILES BETTER THAN MINE ?;£:!3£33 UR TOO FUNYN LFMAOA I’m glad I had this much of an effect 😍🙏🏼 i will take being thrown shit at for my work LMDAO
HEART SHAPED BRAIN 😞💖💖😞💖 I’m so so happy u enjoyed the nickname bit cause idk nicknames are such an important aspect of ur identity and cheol is such a cute fucking nickname i feel like shitting screaming crying over it whenever I see him so i needed to express that 🙏🏼🙏🏼
OH GOD UR LITERALLY SO INSANELY SWEET??? I could only hope i find a man as insanely kind, beautiful, endearing as cheol (me and him would eat each other alive)
thank YOU for the kindest words, your ESSAYYTT of a review 😞😞😞💖💖💖💖 i honestly wasn’t expecting anything like this when I released cheol fic, but it’s people like you that make posting worth it 🩷🩷💖

"College Boy" Nickname Analysis
All monsters that work at Monsters Inc. have made their way in somehow. Some of them graduated, some did not. And for sure, many monsters attended College before they got there. So why does Duncan call specifically Tylor a 'college boy'..? Here's what I think of it:
Tumblr media
He Has Been There Before with Another 'College Boy/Girl' When Duncan first met Tylor in the first episode "Welcome to Monsters, Incorporated", he immediately called him to talk in private for a 'couple of things he wanted to mention'. A they talk, Duncan seems to already know what Tylor is doing, completing his sentences like: Tylor: I don't.. Both: ..belong here Duncan: "Yeah.. as if he has listened to all those 'lies' before. Then, he almost immediately cut to the chase and revealed his position and goals, as well as the fact that he (thinks he) knows what Tylor is planning: Duncan: You can forget your little "college boy" plan... Tylor: Wait, what? Duncan: ...of waltzing in here and taking what's rightfully mine, you understand? Tylor: There's no... Duncan: I'm onto your scheme. So, either someone tired to make a fool out of him before and now he's suspicious of everyone OR he just thinks that if the MIFT Supervisor job is so perfect to him, it's what others are after, too. As we see in "Little Monsters" he even suspects a little kid for planning to steal his dream job from him: Duncan: You don't have any interest in Fritz's job, do you? Oscar (kid): No. Duncan: Then you wouldn't mind signing a simple contract to legalize your response.
Tumblr media
He Didn't Go to/Didn't Graduate College Based on his insecure and defensive behavior, you can tell that Duncan has worked hard to reach the position he's holding now, and he's just one step before succeeding his dreams, and of course, he wouldn't let anyone ruin that for him. Tylor: Why is this supervisor thing so important to you anyway? Duncan: If you think that bein' supervisor someday is all I've ever wanted, and that messin' this up is somehow gonna crush my hopes and dreams, then that's, uh, you know... ( Sighs ) Tylor: Oh, Duncan, I, uh... I didn't mean to... Duncan: It's none of your business. Now, get to work. --("The Cover-Up") He sure has been there for years trying to get a higher rank and be worthy enough to be a Supervisor. Maybe one of the reasons he wants that job so bad is because it's what would prove his mother he can succeed. Besides, it's pretty obvious in the show that Duncan is very very fond of his mom as he seem to always call her on the phone, writing to her, referring to her as his "dearest mother" and letting her know what he's being through and how close to his dream he is. Additionally, his mother seems to be a very strict mom. If that's the case, then Duncan would do anything to finally impress her and make her proud! Maybe he failed in College and now he sees that job as the only chance for him to succeed in his life, become important and gain respect. It has become his life goal and he wouldn't let any "college boy" come and ruin everything he has built all those years, just because he's educated and congenial, 'fooling' his team with his college skills and his kind personality. He doesn't deserve the job of a supervisor just because of that!
Tumblr media
He Finds Tylor Very Attractive If in business world the first impression is important, so it is in our everyday life! And what if Duncan is afraid of Tylor invading his space because he likes him, but he tries to stay maintained to his goas and keep four eyes on the handsome boy instead of trusting him, because he's afraid that if he let himself fall for him, he'd also fall into his trap of getting blind of love and not seeing what Tylor's actually planning. Maybe he is just trying to hold his feelings back and bury them deep inside. Maybe he calls him "college boy" because Tylor is that kind of good ol' top-student, kind, muscular, tall and handsome guy in College that every girl would fall in love with. But Duncan doesn't want to be tricked by his beautiful eyes and lose the game. Besides, he has made it clear in "Meet MIFT" that he finds him beautiful anyway: Duncan: All right, pretty boy. Here's a type A-188 series B canister. The screen valve's about to experience a catastrophic failure in 23 seconds. Here's the manual. Go.
All the above was some theories of mine based on the characters' quotes and behavior. Please don't take this too seriously as it's just made for fun~ :)

Goodness, MR. HENRY BREWSTER has arrived in London. HE is 31, of the BERKSHIRE BREWSTERS. Though they are NEW to the Season, we can only describe them as HARDWORKING and COURAGEOUS, dear reader. Accompanied by NO ONE, they have settled in and are accepting social calls. But be warned: they are known for their COMPETITIVENESS.
Tumblr media
BASIC INFORMATION
NAME: Henry Oscar Brewster
NICKNAMES: Harry or Hank
BIRTHPLACE: Berkshire, England
BIRTHDAY: November 12, 1769
AGE: Thirty-One
GENDER: Male
PRONOUNS: He/Him
STATUS: Single
BACKGROUND
Timeline
Full bio
CONDENSED BIOGRAPHY
The second youngest of six. Henry was born in Berkshire, the son of two farmers.
He came out of the womb being an ambitious little shit much to the disdain of his simple father who just wanted a normal child.
His mother, on the other side, was glad she had finally given birth to a child with some initiative. In this family, parents clearly had their favorites and they were not shy to let everyone know.
An academic? Lol not Henry. He loathed school and pretty much stayed until he learned how to do basic math and then was like bye.
Worked on his father’s farm for a few years but at some point, his dad was working for this twelve year old asshole.
At fifteen, Henry had enough of belle’s vc: this poor provincial town and with a loan of his mom he moved to London as one does.
First thing he did? He bet all his money on a horse race because only a self-confident son of a gun would do that and of course with all the luck in the world, he won more than he had bet.
He went through some shitty jobs eventually deciding that the sailor life was his true calling and he became a waterman on the Thames.
Henry was eighteen around this time and he took the sailor life too seriously meaning that he partied, drank and whored around. You know, regency boys are not too different from us.
At twenty-four war broke and the first to be enlisted were watermen but Henry was not one for patriotism, especially when he could be making money. So, he took a ship to New York and pretty much deserted the army. No one said he was brave, okay
He befriended a young London man on the ship and during whatever time it took to get to NYC they decided to become business partners. His friend had the education he lacked and Henry had the business mind.
Worked on the ferry industry for a few months before he and his friend began a fur trade business and they made a lot of money.
But Henry needed more and he started getting into the smuggling opium business while also investing in real estate so no one would find it sus.
Lived in there for about seven years but a new lucrative deal brought him back home. He has now a pretty mansion and well, he is looking for the Mrs.
His family hates his guts and yeah that’s all.
PERSONALITY
**summary: deep down a super nice and kind person but business and money bring out the worst in him.
Henry is an introvert whose achievements have forced him to get out of his comfort zone and appear more sociable than he really is.
A man of great gifts, he's always been genuinely humble. He believes in hard work, family, luck and the greater good.
He cherishes private, isolated life and attempts at shirking social responsibilities.
When it comes to business, he can be extremely ruthless. It is almost as if he lived two lives: the private one who was good as gold and the merchant one who is cunning, cold-blooded and extremely ambitious. He’s grappled with the incongruity of that for a long time.
Clearly he wasn’t educated in the high society and it shows even if he has tried his best to appear the perfect gentleman worthy of marrying a lady from a proper family. In the past couple of years, he’s been preparing himself in etiquette, literature and arts but it’s not something that comes naturally to him.
Henry can be headstrong, stubborn, manipulative and willing to risk almost anything to make money. However, young Henry was secretive in his heart which guarded a noble and thoughtful side, perhaps inherited by his father; therefore, causing him to dislike it to a certain degree. Business is business and he took this phrase seriously. If money or sealing a deal was on the line, you bet that Henry would do anything to close it.
Nonetheless, he was smart, cagey and suspicious of fortune too easily won. He was scrupulous in distinguishing the things that came to him through luck from those he felt he'd earned. Luck was the gift of being an innate negotiator but saving that money and making more was something he’d earned. After all, talents were only worth it if they were put to good use.

BTS at Golden Disc Awards 2021
by Admin 1
On the 9th and 10th of January 2021 BTS attended the Golden Disc Awards, and performed on the second day as well. Being there they won the Digital Bonsang for Dynamite on the 9th and the Bonsang, as well as the Album Daesang for Map of the Soul : 7, on the 10th. Amazing achievements which I sincerely congratulate them on.
When it comes to the performance, it was, most certainly, another amazing collection of stages bringing something new once more, even if they presented songs we’ve already seen at previous award shows this season. The opening came in form of Black Swan, though they didn’t sing any of it. It was more an intro showcasing the entrance of the members and highlighted Yoongi’s return to the stage, at least partially.
Tumblr media
The stage featured big metal winds, low lighting, and the members clad in black and white clothing including leather elbow length gloves for Namjoon and Yoongi, and pretty chockers for Taehyung and Jimin. The highlight though was Jungkook’s hair which isn’t dark anymore, but instead has been bleached and dyed a pretty blond. Personally I think it suits him pretty well.
Tumblr media
More below the cut since this is shaping up to be pretty long:
Next up was ON, which was powerful and fierce, though still missing Yoongi, which is all too understandable. Even though he can stand on stage again and hold his mic in his left hand (his surgery was on the left shoulder), it will still be a while until he’ll be able to dance with the members. ON has certainly grown a lot on me and I enjoy their performances of it immensely, and it was much the case this time as well.
The transition from ON to Life Goes On came in form of the stage being made to look like their individual rooms from BE which appeared on the digital walls around them. Their clothes were mostly comfy, though Jimin’s resembled their outfits from all the way back during I NEED U/RUN era. The transition/VCR like moment ended with the instrumental to We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal and the stage looking much the way the MV did with the whale swimming around them in an ocean of shades of purple, blue and pink.
Tumblr media
For Life Goes On they had miniature versions of some of their most iconic MV sets on pedestals. It was a really cute idea and I enjoyed the execution a lot. The members seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves, Jimin and Taehyung even having their little moment of looking at each other twice, these moments certainly having become something I always kind of look forward to when it comes to LGO stages.
Tumblr media
Another tiny Jimin and Taehyung detail was Jimin sending a brief, barely noticeable (by the viewer) finger heart which I hadn’t even noticed until my fourth rewatch. It definitely fits with all these other small gestures we’ve seen from these two in recent months, like the finger hearts and kissy faces during their Lotte Family Concert performance of Boy with Luv or hugging each other on day 1 and doing a fun handshake and dance on day 2 during Dionysus at the MOTS ON:E concert visible only on one of the side cameras, not the main one.
Tumblr media
The grand finale was the Slow Jam remix of Dynamite which worked perfectly with the chill out lounge/bar atmosphere created on stage fitting with the Great Gatsby theme. The members wore mostly suits in white, blue in Namjoon’s case, and a bright yellow when it comes to Taehyung, as well as Hoseok who had a white button down which Tae did not. While a normal person would look ridiculous in it, Taehyung looked absolutely stunning and made it more than work. After so many energetic performances of Dynamite since its release, seeing such a calm version was really nice and refreshing, showing how versatile BTS and their music are, how they can captivate an audience with fast songs made for big choreographies and stage productions, but also these slow, more chill types of tracks. A marvelous idea, truly.
Tumblr media
There was also an encore stage where they sang ON again but this time along with Yoongi on stage which had some hilarious moments, especially Namjoon and Seokjin being silly waving their arms around while kneeling opposite each other on stage during Jungkook’s bridge. Cute.
Afterward the members were at something like a red carpet after interview where they took pictures with their awards (Jungkook and Taehyung even making their Bonsang and Daesang awards kiss much the way film director Bong Joon Ho made his two Oscars kiss last year) and were asked to do a relay of saying something to each other.
Tumblr media
All translations of their words are taken from Vernal_Bom on twitter.
J-hope to Jimin
“I didn’t feel lonely in 2020 thanks to Jimin. Thank you for making me laugh. Give me happiness and laugh in 2021 as well.”  Jimin (turning to Namjoon): “It seems he can never live without me”
Honestly the bond between Jimin and Hoseok is so cute and wonderful and you can see, and hear in their words, how important they are to each other, and how grateful Hobi is. We know the members were having a really hard time in 2020 so it doesn’t surprise me that Hobi would highlight the other members, or in this case Jimin, as one of the main reasons why he made it through it. After all we also know that those two made a song together which unfortunately didn’t make it onto BE. Hopefully we might get it one day at least as SoundCloud release, or perhaps on the next album instead.
Jimin to RM
It was you who made us pull ourselves together to go through 2020. I am always grateful, and it’d be nice if you share you height a little with me in 2021, be healthy and happy. RM: Okay thank you
I love how Jimin used this (public) opportunity to tell/remind Namjoon of how important he was for them especially in 2020, as leader and surely also as friend, yet still also made a little joke to still keep the atmosphere light. After he was done speaking Jimin also hugged Namjoon, which showed once more how tiny he is in comparison.
RM to JK
It’s finally today, Jungkook-si, in 10 years! You are Golden Maknae! The day that you will prove your nickname! You are proving it right now with your hair color, but in 2021, I hope the year will be filled with gold, like your nickname. Stay healthy. Let’s ‘Jje-kkit-up’ together this year too! (check it up.. the usual Namjoon saying lol)
It’s quite something to think about and realize, isn’t it, this year 10 years pass since Jungkook became a BigHit trainee and moved into their first dorm with Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin. I’m curious if Bangtan, as well as BigHit, have some kind of plan for JK specifically for this year that Namjoon chose to highlight his Golden Maknae nickname in such a way, or if it was more of a reminder to JK, that he’s so worthy despite how he doubts himself, and despite how he himself said he’s been going through tough times in 2020.
JK to V
V hyung, when we were trainees we were getting along so well, (V: We are not now???) No!!! i didn’t mean it. You are becoming so much of an stand-up (reliable, I assume in this context) guy. Thank you for doing all the schedules with us.  jhope: who’s hyung here?
The bond these two share might just be one of the biggest mysteries and causes for conflicts and fights within the fandom, or particular parts of it. After their conversation In The SOOP, I’d like to believe they’ve figured out whatever issue might've arisen between them in the past, found a way to solve and move past it slowly, and rekindled their friendship once more. Seeing at how well they’ve been getting along (on camera) these past few months, I think it might've been so. It’s curious to me though that JK chose to say this instead of something more akin to what Jimin said to Namjoon, or Hoseok to Jimin.
V to Jin
V: (turns to Jin)  Jin: This is too close V: I listened to Abyss and that makes my heart ache too... Jin: Thank you V: hyung, your song is so good. Make more songs in 2021, let Army and us listen to your song more. Jin: Okayokay  V: and I play game with you to relieve stress.... sorry for talking in ban-mal (informal form). —(also speaking in informal way) Jin: No no it was so fun V: I love you Jin: I love you too
I absolutely adore the bond these two share and I love that Tae chose to say what he did. We know Seokjin has been going through a hard time in 2020, that he dealt with something I’d call imposter syndrome, so I’m glad we got to know even more about how Tae was there for him, something we otherwise would’ve never known. Certain people try to portray Tae as the one member that is almost estranged from his other members, who barely has anything to do with the group outside of schedules, and yet it’s moments like this--as well as Seokjin telling us in his birthday vlive that Tae organized for everyone including his non-BTS friends to send Seokjin birthday wishes in video form to show him how loved and appreciated he is--are the proof that those people are wrong. Tae is very close with his members, and he’s the ambassador of OT7 or nothing, the members his closest friends and brothers, his found and chosen family.
Jin to Suga
Jin: Yoongi ya, do it well. Suga: Okay.... Jin: Do well on your rehab, and...uh... let’s do well going forward. Suga: Okay.. I will...
These two are so close yet due to their introverted nature their interactions such as this one are just so hilarious and adorable at the same time. Their dynamic is wonderful and this just seems like peak Yoongi-Jin behavior.
Suga to j-hope
SG: (unable to look into hobi’s eyes) Our hobi JH: Suga! SG: You did work hard in 2020 (evading eye contact) JH: hahhahahah and? SG: Let’s not fall sick in 2021, and hwaiting...  JH: “Hwaiting hyung, and take good care of your health!”
The saga of Yoongi being unable to look Hoseok in the eye continues and it’s just as precious as ever. They stood so close, and while Yoongi wasn’t able to look into Hoseok’s eyes, it’s funny how he was the one who initiated the whole “them standing so close together” thing. I love the difference between how Seokjin didn’t even try to make eye-contact while Hoseok playfully challenged Yoongi and tried to coax him into it anyway knowing it’ll make Yoongi laugh and smile. It’s such a Yoongi-Hoseok thing, I love it.
Tumblr media
And with that, the award was over and now also my post. I hope you enjoyed reading it! :3

“We both went to the London premiere but not together. We weren’t engaged and there was no reason to sort of show off to the world." USA Today November 18, 2014.
I'd like the Nannies to express their opinion about this please. With the full understanding that no person or persons on this side of the computer can control, sway or change Ben's mind or heart. That's not the point. The point is to understand what you believe is the psychological reasoning behind the decision to use that phrasing with his pregnant, soon to be fiancé and soon to be wife and soon to be mother of his child. According to People magazine and the Daily Mail, and those, including nannies, who said they have seen a Birth Certificate, Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch was born on June 1st.  Dislike it all you want, having a birthday makes it possible, and given human nature, likely that people will speculate on the date of conception, especially considering the facts, including the timing with regards to the Oscars and the shotgun* nature of the wedding. If it was a full term no problem pregnancy, 40 weeks, not under or over due, she was 2 and a half months pregnant when the above statement was made.
This story you nannies have built up, that Ben and Sophie have a true perfect love forever, that they never fight, how do you reconcile that with the whole unvarnished truth? Unless Sophie was totally gormless, she must have known she was pregnant. If Ben was dating her and truly in love, he would have known she was pregnant. They married three months later. He was in true love with the women he married, the woman he proposed to, whom he didn't mention by her name in interviews, and didn't want to walk down the red carpet to his movie premiere with the woman making his dreams come true, his dreams of being a father.
Now you are going to yell about things like privacy. That what he said was meant to protect Sophie and hide the pregnancy. I think anyone who is at all skeptical could answer that one. No one eager for privacy about their personal life talks to reporters, USA Today, or People magazine at all, let alone does a wedding dress spread in Vogue. I'm surprised it was in the print edition, and not the digital only. After all, maternity bridal gowns aren't really "en vogue". The long and short of it is that photo spread was well positioned and they managed to photograph her to look like she wasn't 5 1/2 months pregnant, perhaps to make that style of gown more in demand. Shotgun weddings tend to favor empire waists and lots of flounce to disguise the bump.
Now, I know the next question from the peanut gallery will be, why bring this up? They have stayed together, have two more kids together and it has been x and whatever years.
Here are several responses. Pick one or more in any combination.
1. Our feelings don't have to be right to be valid.
2. You have the option to object to our perfectly valid emotional reaction.
3. We have a right to block you from our page. You also have this right.
4. If you object to our opinions, you do not have to read our blogs or interact with us in anyway. If you are constantly feeling harassed because you see content from skeptics, BLOCK THEM, don't blame them! If the worker at Sea World handed you a poncho to protect yourself and you didn't use it, you can't blame the Shamu if you get splashed.(Sorry for the outdated and insensitive analogy but I wanted something easy to understand. I disagree whole hearted with the captivity of intelligent creatures be they aquatic or terrestrial mammals.)
5. We are valid in our own right as people. If you attack us on a personal level, we will defend ourselves and we have the right to do so.
6. As long as we do not interact with anyone,(i.e. Ben, Sophie, Karon, his management, etc) we can say whatever we want on our own blogs. The majority of us have never met him and don't want to. As far as we are concerned, Ben is an imaginary person that we are writing as a character for a long running D&D campaign.
7. However, the same does not apply to you. Many of you have gone out of your way to meet him. You believe that by sending hate to skeptics or doxxing them you will earn validation from him. I worry that some of you are on the brink and if he doesn't acknowledge you one time, or does something that you can't justify with your world view, one of you will snap. You think this about us, I know. But the nannies on the whole have much more emotional investment in Ben's personal life. (As a for instance, The skeptics call him Ben because at least one nanny has said that, "we don't know that he prefers that nickname so we should use his full name" another said "nicknames are for close friends and family and we aren't those, so we should call him by his full name or Mr. Cumberbatch." If Ben even has two thoughts about any skeptic or nanny(especially how they address him in blog posts) for the entire year I'd be surprised. Unless, of course, it when he has to think about you lot bothering him, stalking him, and generally making a nuisance of yourselves.
******
I also know you complain that the skeptics don't "love" Ben in every thing he does and don't always watch all his work. The gatekeeping within the fandom, not include how you discount and loathe the skeptics, is extreme. Fans must be all or nothing.
1. Not everyone has the money to participate fully, whether that is buying movies, theater tickets, merchandise or going to conventions to hear him speak. Disregarding fans based on their ability to participate, especially due to financial inability, is gatekeeping and it is the worst kind of gatekeeping. You are saying the only good fans are rich ones.
2. Generally the nannies viewpoint is Eurocentric as well. Some people have jobs, have children to raise, have other things that take priority over "being a fan". Being a fan requires time that poorer countries, less developed countries generally lack. Some countries censor the movies that are shown. Doctor Strange was not shown in the East the way it was in the west and unless you can afford to travel to another location,(Say the London Premiere that didn't quite happen and the nannies were upset because he didn't preform like a good little monkey in a suit for them?) you are made to feel left out by the uber fans.
3. Some people have emotional triggers. Ben's roles tend more towards the dramatic then comedic. Drama can deeply affect those who have experienced similar situations. He has been in movies dealing with Cancer, Childhood Abuse, Incest, Slavery, War, Pedophilia, have I missed any major triggers?
4. He is also in the MCU and the Hobbit movies which have flashing lights which makes them inaccessible to those who have seizures and migraines. Another oft used gatekeeping tactic in fandoms is the restriction of accessibility. In the US, there are compliancy laws for disabilities(although they aren't always obeyed) but smaller, poorer countries may not have accessible movie theaters. Fans with disabilities can not travel as easily as more abled fans. Smaller independent films Benedict made at the beginning of his career may not have captions or audio description or may be unafforable for those that have medical costs to consider.
5. There is also gender bias in the Cumberbatch fandom. One need only look at their chosen name, Cumberbitches. I can think of 15 more gender neutral terms off the top of my head but men and those who identify as male were inherently excluded from the fandom. I can think of ONE male fan. Maybe one that writes under his wife's account as to not get ridiculed. Because they would be ridiculed by the nannies, that is who they are, the "gatekeepers of the fandom", deciding who is worthy to be a Ben fan.
They have made fun of fans before. Not just skeptics. People they don't like or don't want in their little clique. So the majority of Ben's fans are middle aged rich white women. Not because that's who he's trying to reach as an audience but because that is who his uber fans allow to worship him.
If you are in need of examples of how out of control the uber fans are take the following for an example.
Someone did a nice tweet about other actors. It had nothing to do with Ben, although it did feature Tom Hiddleston and other Marvel actors. The ubers starting by saying Ben wasn't listed, then jumped into, well, a screenshot is worth a thousand words.

As they say, that escalated quickly...

*Shotgun Wedding is an American term for a marriage precipitated by the pregnancy. It comes from an American colloquialism, termed as such based on a stereotypical scenario in which the father of the pregnant bride-to-be threatens the reluctant groom with a shotgun in order to ensure that he follows through with the wedding.

Fifty Years Ago, Satchel Paige Brought the Negro Leagues to Baseball's Hall of Fame
Tumblr media
Eyewitnesses said that Satchel Paige, one of the best pitchers baseball will ever see, would tell his teammates to sit on the field, so confident that he’d strike out the batter on his own.
The right-handed ace’s showmanship was backed up by the remarkable athletic ability on display with his deadly accurate fastball. Over an estimated 2,600 innings pitched, Paige registered more than 200 wins and, impressively, more than 2,100 strikeouts. And those numbers are incomplete—many of his games, having been played in the Negro Leagues, going unrecorded.
“Satchel was pitching in a way if, just based on his performance as a pitcher, he would’ve ranked as one of the all-time greats, if not the greatest,” says Larry Tye, author of the 2009 biography Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend.
For 20 years after he more-or-less hung up his cleats, however, the National Baseball Hall of Fame, where baseball greats from Babe Ruth to Walter Johnson were enshrined, didn’t have room for Paige or any other Negro Leaguers. Because it was a different league, segregated from the majors solely by race, the Hall hadn’t even considered its players eligible for induction. But in 1971, the Cooperstown, New York, institution finally began to recognize the accomplishments of players whose case for greatness rested on their performance in the Negro Leagues, starting with Paige.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Leroy Paige was born in 1906 and grew up with 11 siblings. Given the nickname “Satchel” for a contraption he made for carrying passengers’ bags at a local train station, he found his talent for baseball at a correctional school.
At 18, he joined the Mobile Tigers, a black semi-professional team. No stranger to barnstorming—the practice of teams traveling across the country to play exhibition matches—Paige debuted in the Negro Leagues in 1926 for the Chattanooga Black Lookouts. Among the teams he played for were the Birmingham Black Barons, the Baltimore Black Sox, the Pittsburgh Crawfords (surrounded by other legends, including Josh Gibson and Cool Papa Bell), and the Kansas City Monarchs. Paige won four Negro American League pennants with the Monarchs from 1940 to 1946.
Paige was far from the only phenom in the Negro Leagues. Gibson was a monumental power hitter; Oscar Charleston played a gritty, all-around game; and Bell was known for his beyond-human speed, just to name a few. But when it came to star quality, Paige possibly surpasses them all.

“He’s probably the biggest drawing card in the history of the Negro Leagues,” says Erik Strohl, vice president of exhibitions and collections at the Hall of Fame.
Legend surrounds Paige with stories of his remarkable feats, and some of it was even self-produced: He kept track of his own statistics and the numbers he would provide to others were astounding, if not sometimes inconsistent. While a lack of written accounts at many of his pitching performances has created issues of veracity, the confirmed information available still suggests that his accomplishments are befitting of his prestige.
“When you say that he is a legend and one of the greatest players of all time, it may seem like an exaggeration,” says Strohl, “and it’s hard to quantify and qualify, but I think probably, undoubtedly that was true in terms of the length and swath of his career.”
“He had great speed, but tremendous control,” says historian Donald Spivey, author of the 2013 book If You Were Only White: The Life of Leroy “Satchel” Paige. “That was the key to his success,” he adds, which paired with Paige’s ability to identify batters’ weaknesses from their pitching stances.
Spivey says that Paige’s prestige was a boon even for his opponents, as crowds would flock to the games where he was pitching. “The man was a tremendous drawing card,” he notes. He earned a reputation for jumping from one team to the next, depending on who offered the most money.
“He got away with it because he was so reliable,” says Tye. “He gave you the ability to draw in fans.
Not unlike other talented Negro Leaguers of the era, Paige wanted an opportunity with the MLB. Midway through the 1948 season, he got his chance when he signed with the Cleveland Indians. He was certainly an atypical “rookie”, entering the league when he was 42 after more than 20 years of Negro League competition (Jackie Robinson, for comparison, joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947 when he was 28.) Paige managed to make his time count: he won six games amid a tense battle for the American League pennant, and Cleveland went on to take both the pennant and the World Series victory.
Though his debut MLB season was successful, he spent just one more year with the Indians in 1949 before joining the St. Louis Browns in 1951. Following a three-year stint with St. Louis, Paige’s career in the MLB appeared over. However, he continued playing baseball in other leagues, and still found a way to make a brief one-game, three-inning appearance with the Kansas City Athletics in 1965 at the age of 59, not giving up a single run.
Paige’s time in Major League Baseball was impressive for a player entering the league in their 40s, asserts Phil S. Dixon, author of multiple books about the Negro Leagues.
“He also helped those teams because people wanted to see Satchel Paige,” Dixon says. “Not only was he a decent pitcher, he was an amazing draw.”
The Negro Leagues were both the stage at which Paige dazzled audiences for years on end, and the mark of a barrier separating him and other black players from baseball’s biggest stage for years. That barrier would, for a time, be perpetuated by the Hall of Fame.

Despite the impact that the Negro Leagues had on baseball and American culture, by the 1960s, just two players associated with them had been recognized as Hall of Famers. Robinson was the first black player inducted, in 1962, and seven years later his former teammate Roy Campanella joined him. The two had achieved entry off the merits of their MLB careers, however, whereas icons like Paige and Gibson had either few or no seasons outside the Negro Leagues.
To those who played the game, their worthiness was not a matter of debate. On occasions when black squads faced off against their white contemporaries, they won at least as often as not, if not more. In 1934 Paige and star MLB pitcher Dizzy Dean had their barnstorming teams—one black, one white—face off against each other six times in exhibition play. Paige’s crew won four of those six meetings, including a tense 1-0 victory at Chicago’s Wrigley Field after 13 innings.
“Their role in the black community was one that said, ‘We can play as good as anybody,’” says Dixon. “‘And there’s no reason for us not being in the major leagues, because not only can we play all of those guys, we can beat those guys.”
In the prime of Paige’s Negro League career, New York Yankees’ outfielder Joe DiMaggio once described Paige as the “best and fastest” pitcher he’d ever played against. Former Boston Red Sox star Ted Wiliams used part of his Hall of Fame speech in 1966 to mention the exclusion of Paige and other black players
“I hope that someday the names of Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson in some way can be added as a symbol of the great Negro players that are not here only because they were not given the chance,” Williams said to the crowd, a speech that Strohl notes occurred amid the civil rights movement.

Meanwhile, sportswriters supportive of the cause used their platforms to argue for Negro Leaguers’ presence in the Hall. Members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America, the body responsible for selecting Hall members, also created a committee in 1969 to advocate for Negro League inductions.
MLB commissioner Bowie Kuhn, elected in 1969, publicly welcomed to the idea of putting Negro League players in the Hall of Fame. In his 1987 autobiography Hardball: The Education of a Baseball Commissioner, Kuhn stated that he didn’t buy into the reasons against inducting Negro League players.
“I found unpersuasive and unimpressive the argument that the Hall of Fame would be ‘watered down’ if men who had not played in the majors were admitted,” Kuhn wrote, looking back at the time.
“Through no fault of their own,” he added, “the black players had been barred from the majors until 1947. Had they not been barred, there would have been great major-league players, and certainly Hall of Famers, among them.”
With Kuhn’s help, the Hall formed their Negro leagues committee in 1971, comprised of several men including Campanella and black sportswriters Sam Lacy and Wendell Smith. They were tasked with considering the merits of past players and executives for inclusion, and they announced Paige was their inaugural nominee in February.
Nevertheless, the Hall ran into controversy in how they planned to honor the Negro Leaguers: with a separate section, apart from the Major League inductees. Among the reasons cited were that some of the proposed inductees would not meet the minimum of ten MLB seasons competed in like other honorees. Instead of appearing like a tribute, the move was viewed by many as another form of segregation.
“Technically, you’d have to say he’s not in the Hall of Fame,” said Kuhn at the time, according to the New York Times. “But I’ve often said the Hall of Fame isn’t a building but a state of mind. The important thing is how the public views Satchel Paige, and I know how I view him.”
Backlash to the idea, from sportswriters and fans alike, was plentiful. Wells Trombly, writing for the Sporting News, declared, “Jim Crow still lives. … So they will be set aside in a separate wing. Just as they were when they played. It is an outright farce.”
New York Post sports columnist Milton Gross rejected Kuhn’s rosy interpretation, writing, “The Hall of Fame is not a state of mind. It is something semi-officially connected with organized baseball that is run by outdated rules which, as Jackie Robinson said the other day, ‘can be changed like laws are changed if they are unjust.’”
With the backdrop of backlash and an upcoming election, the Hall changed their mind in July of that year.
The pitcher himself stated that he was not worried where his tribute would be stored. “As far as I am concerned, I’m in the Hall of Fame,” he said. “I don’t know nothing about no Negro section. I’m proud to be in it. Wherever they put me is alright with me.”
Tye argues that it was still a painful experience for Paige. “Satchel had dealt with so much affront that I think he took it with quite a bit of class when they offered to let him into the segregated Hall,” he says. “But it clearly was devastating to him.”
A player whose name drew crowds and whose performances dazzled them, Paige was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in August 1971. A statue of Paige now adorns the Hall of Fame’s courtyard. It was installed in 2006, which is also the most recent year any Negro Leaguer has been inducted into the Hall.
He is portrayed with his left leg up in the air. His right hand nestles the baseball. Eyes closed, Satchel is preparing a pitch for eternity.
“I am the proudest man on the earth today, and my wife and sister and sister-in-law and my son all feel the same,” said Paige at the end of his Hall of Fame acceptance speech, reported the New York Times. “It’s a wonderful day and one man who appreciates it is Leroy Satchel Paige.”

Irene Dunne DHS (born Irene Marie Dunn; December 20, 1898 – September 4, 1990) was an American actress and singer who appeared in films during the Golden Age of Hollywood. She is best known for her comedic roles, despite being in films of varied genres.
After her father died when she was fourteen, Dunne's family relocated from Kentucky to Indiana and she became determined to become an opera singer, but when she was rejected by The Met, she performed in musicals on Broadway until she was scouted by RKO and made her Hollywood film debut in the 1930 musical Leathernecking. She starred in 42 movies and made guest appearances on radio and in popular anthology television until 1962; she was nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Actress – for her performances in Cimarron (1931), Theodora Goes Wild (1936), The Awful Truth (1937), Love Affair (1939), and I Remember Mama (1948) – and was one of the top 25 highest-paid actors of her time.
In the present, Dunne is considered one of the greatest actresses who never won an Academy Award. Some critics theorize that her performances have been underappreciated and largely forgotten, overshadowed by movie remakes and her better-known co-stars. Dunne once fled across the Atlantic Ocean to avoid starring in a comedy, but she has been praised by many during her career, and after her death, as one of the best comedic actresses in the screwball genre. She was nicknamed "The First Lady of Hollywood" for her regal manner despite being proud of her Irish-American, country girl roots.
Dunne devoted her retirement to philanthropy and was chosen by President Dwight D. Eisenhower as a delegate for the United States to the United Nations, in which she advocated for world peace and highlighted refugee-relief programs. She also used the time to be with her family – her husband, dentist Dr. Francis Griffin, and their daughter Mary Frances, whom they adopted in 1938. She received numerous awards for her philanthropy, including honorary doctorates, a Laetare Medal and a Sepulchre damehood, and was given a Kennedy Center Honor for her services to the arts.
Irene Marie Dunn was born on December 20, 1898, at 507 East Gray Street in Louisville, Kentucky,
Following her father's death, Dunne's family moved to her mother's hometown of Madison, Indiana, living at 916 W. Second St., in the same neighborhood as Dunne's grandparents' home. Dunne's mother taught her to play the piano as a very small girl — according to Dunne, "Music was as natural as breathing in our house," — but unfortunately for her, music lessons frequently prevented her from playing with the neighborhood kids. Her first school production of A Midsummer Night's Dream began her interest in drama, so she took singing lessons as well, and sang in local churches and high school plays before her graduation in 1916. Her first ambition was to become a music teacher and studied at the Indianapolis Conservatory of Music and Webster College, earning a diploma in 1918, but saw an audition advertizement for the Chicago Musical College when she visited friends during a journey to Gary, and won the College scholarship, officially graduating in 1926. She hoped to become a soprano opera singer, relocating to New York after finishing her second year in 1920, but did not pass the audition with the Metropolitan Opera Company due to her inexperience and her "slight" voice.
Dunne took more singing lessons and then dancing lessons to prepare for a possible career in musical theater. On a New York vacation to visit family friends, she was recommended to audition for a stage musical, eventually starring as the leading role in the popular play Irene, which toured major cities as a roadshow throughout 1921. "Back in New York," Dunne reflected, "I thought that with my experience on the road and musical education it would be easy to win a role. It wasn't." Her Broadway debut was December 25, the following year as Tessie in Zelda Sears's The Clinging Vine, and she took leading role when the original actress took a leave of absence in 1924. Supporting roles in musical theater productions followed in the shows The City Chap (1925), Yours Truly (1927) and She's My Baby (1928). Her first top-billing, leading role Luckee Girl (1928) was not as successful as her previous projects. She would later call her career beginnings "not great furor." At this time, Dunne added the extra "e" to her surname, which had ironically been misspelled as "Dunne" at times throughout her life until this point; until her death, "Dunne" would then occasionally be misspelled as "Dunn." Starring as Magnolia Hawks in a road company adaptation of Show Boat was the result of a chance meeting with its director Florenz Ziegfeld Jr. in an elevator the day she returned from her honeymoon, when he mistook her for his next potential client, eventually sending his secretary to chase after her. A talent scout for RKO Pictures attended a performance, and Dunne signed the studio's contract, appearing in her first movie, Leathernecking (1930), a film version of the musical Present Arms. Already in her 30s when she made her first film, she would be in competition with younger actresses for roles, and found it advantageous to evade questions that would reveal her age, so publicists encouraged the belief that she was born in 1901 or 1904; the former is the date engraved on her tombstone.
The "Hollywood musical" era had fizzled out so Dunne moved to dramatic roles during the Pre-Code era, leading a successful campaign for the role of Sabra in Cimarron (1931) with her soon-to-be co-star Richard Dix, receiving her first Best Actress nomination. Her role as the determined but ladylike mother figure of Sabra reflected her later persona and the films she starred in afterwards, such as the melodramas Back Street (1932) and Magnificent Obsession (1935). The latter had the best critical acclaim and the melodrama she reportedly did the most preparation for, studying Braille and working on posture with blind consultant Ruby Fruth. This was after she and Dix reunited for Stingaree (1934), where overall consensus was that Dunne had usurped Dix's star power. The 1934 Sweet Adeline remake and Roberta (1935) were Dunne's first two musicals since Leathernecking; Roberta also starred dancing partners Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and she sang the musical's breakaway pop hit "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes." In 1936, she starred as Magnolia Hawks in Show Boat (1936), directed by James Whale. Dunne had concerns about Whale's directing decisions, but she later admitted that her favorite scene to film was "Make Believe" with Allan Jones because it reminded her of Romeo and Juliet. It was during this year that Dunne's RKO contract had expired and she had decided to become a freelance actor, with the power to choose studios and directors. Dunne was apprehensive about attempting her first comedy role as the title character in Theodora Goes Wild (1936), but discovered that she enjoyed it, and received her second Best Actress Oscar nomination for the performance.
Later years of Dunne's film career became diverse. She starred in three films each with Charles Boyer and Cary Grant in screwball comedies (The Awful Truth (1937), My Favorite Wife (1940)), romantic dramas (Love Affair (1939), When Tomorrow Comes (1939)), drama (Penny Serenade (1941)) and comedy (Together Again (1944)). She starred in fictionalized dramas Anna and the King of Siam (1946) and later The Mudlark (1950) as Anna Leonowens and Queen Victoria, respectively, was in the comedies Unfinished Business (1941), Lady in a Jam (1942) and Over 21 (1945), and the war movies A Guy Named Joe (1943) and The White Cliffs of Dover (1944). She also starred as mothers Lavinia Day in Life with Father (1947), and Marta Hanson in I Remember Mama (1948). Marta required her to wear aging makeup and body padding, and she wore prosthetics to portray Queen Victoria.
Dunne's last three films were box-office failures. The Mudlark was a success in the UK, despite initial critical concern over the only foreigner in a British film starring as a well-known British monarch, but her American fans disapproved of the prosthetic decisions. The comedy It Grows on Trees (1952) became Dunne's last movie performance, although she remained on the lookout for suitable film scripts for years afterwards. On the radio, she and Fred MacMurray respectively played a feuding editor and reporter of a struggling newspaper in the 52-episode comedy-drama Bright Star, which aired in syndication between 1952 and 1953 by the Ziv Company. She also starred in and hosted episodes of television anthologies, such as Ford Theatre, General Electric Theater, and the Schlitz Playhouse of Stars. Faye Emerson wrote in 1954 that "I hope we see much more of Miss Dunne on TV," and Nick Adams called Dunne's performance in Saints and Sinners worthy of an Emmy nomination. Dunne's last acting credit was in 1962, but she was once rumored to star in a movie named Heaven Train, and rejected an offer to cameo in Airport '77.
Dunne appeared at 1953's March of Dimes showcase in New York City to introduce two little girls nicknamed the Poster Children, who performed a dramatization about polio research. She was later present at Disneyland's "Dedication Day" in 1955 to christen the Mark Twain Riverboat with a bottle containing water from several major rivers across the United States. Years before, Dunne had also christened the SS Carole Lombard.
In her retirement, she devoted herself primarily to humanitarianism. Some of the organizations she worked with include the American Cancer Society, the Los Angeles Orphanage, and the American Red Cross. She was also president of St. John's Hospital Clinic and became a board member of Technicolor in 1965, the first woman ever elected to the board of directors. She established an African American school for Los Angeles, negotiated donations to St. John's through box office results, and served as chairwoman in 1949 for the American Heart Association's women's committee, and Hebrew University Rebuilding Fun's sponsors committee. She appeared in 1955's celebrity-rostered television special Benefit Show for Retarded Children with Jack Benny as host. Dunne also donated to refurbishments in Madison, Indiana, funding the manufacture of Camp Louis Ernst Boy Scout's gate in 1939 and the Broadway Fountain's 1976 restoration.
Dunne reflected: "If I began living in Hollywood today I would certainly one thing that I did when I arrived, and that is to be active in charity. If one is going to take something out of a community — any community — one must put something in, too." She also hoped that charity would encourage submissive women to find independence: "I wish women would be more direct. ...I was amazed when some quiet little mouse of a woman was given a job which seemed to be out of all proportion to her capabilities. Then I saw the drive with which she undertook that job and put it through to a great finish. It was both inspiring and surprising. I want women to be individuals. They should not lean on their husbands' opinions and be merely echoes of the men of the family.
In 1957, President Eisenhower appointed Dunne one of five alternative U.S. delegates to the United Nations in recognition of her interest in international affairs and Roman Catholic and Republican causes. Dunne admired the U.N.'s dedication to creating world peace, and was inspired by colleagues' beliefs that Hollywood influenced the world. She held delegacy for two years and addressed the General Assembly twice. She gave her delegacy its own anthem: "Getting to Know You" because "it's so simple, and yet so fundamental in international relations today." Dunne later described her Assembly request for $21 million to help Palestinian refugees as her "biggest thrill," and called her delegacy career the "highlight of my life." She also concluded, "I came away greatly impressed with the work the U.N. does in its limited field — and it does have certain limits. I think we averted a serious situation in Syria, which might have been much more worse without a forum to hear it... And I'm much impressed with the work the U.N. agencies do. I'm especially interested in UNICEF's work with children[,] and the health organization[.]"
Dunne was a lifelong Republican and participated in 1948's Republican convention. She accepted the U.N. delegacy offer because she viewed the U.N. as apolitical. She later explained: "I'm a Nixon Republican, not a Goldwater one. I don't like extremism in any case. The extreme rights do as much harm as the extreme lefts." Her large input in politics created an assumption that she was a member of the "Hollywood right-wing fringe," which Dunne denied, calling herself "foolish" for being involved years before other celebrities did.
Dunne's father frequently told Dunne about his memories of traveling on bayous and lazy rivers. Dunne's favorite family vacations were riverboat rides and parades, later recalling a voyage from St. Louis to New Orleans, and watching boats on the Ohio River from the hillside. She admitted, "No triumph of either my stage or screen career has ever rivaled the excitement of trips down the Mississippi on the riverboats with my father."
Dunne was an avid golf player and had played since high school graduation; she and her husband often played against each other and she made a hole in one in two different games. She was good friends with Loretta Young, Jimmy Stewart, Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan, Carole Lombard, and George Stevens Jr., and became godmother to Young's son, Peter. Dunne also bonded with Leo McCarey over numerous similar interests, such as their Irish ancestry, music, religious backgrounds, and humor. School friends nicknamed her "Dunnie" and she was referred to as this in Madison High School's 1916 yearbook, along with the description "divinely tall and most divinely fair."
One of Dunne's later public appearances was in April 1985, when she attended the dedication of a bronze bust in her honor at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California, for which her foundation, The Irene Dunne Guild, had raised more than $20 million. The Irene Dunne Guild remains "instrumental in raising funds to support programs and services at St. John's" hospital in Santa Monica. The artwork, commissioned by the hospital from artist Artis Lane, has a plaque reading "IRENE DUNNE First Lady Of Saint John's Hospital and Health Center Foundation."
Between 1919 and 1922, Dunne was close to Fritz Ernst, a businessman based in Chicago who was 20 years older than her and a member of one of the richest families in Madison, Indiana. They frequently corresponded over letters while Dunne was training for musical theater but when Fritz proposed, Dunne rejected, due to pressure from her mother and wanting to focus on acting. They remained friends and continued writing letters until Ernst died in 1959.
At a New York, Biltmore Hotel supper party in 1924, Dunne met Northampton-born dentist Francis Griffin. According to Dunne, he preferred being a bachelor, yet tried everything he could to meet her. To her frustration, he did not telephone her until over a month later, but the relationship had strengthened and they married in Manhattan on July 13, 1927. They had constantly argued about the state of their careers if they ever got married, with Dunne agreeing to consider theater retirement sometime in the future and Griffin agreeing to support Dunne's acting. Griffin later explained: "I didn't like the moral tone of show business. [...] Then Ziegfeld signed her for 'Show Boat' and it looked like she was due for big things. Next came Hollywood and [she] was catapulted to the top. Then I didn't feel I could ask her to drop her career. [I] really didn't think marriage and the stage were compatible but we loved each other and we were both determined to make our marriage work."
When Dunne decided to star in Leathernecking, it was meant to be her only Hollywood project, but when it was a box-office bomb, she took an interest in Cimarron. Soon after, she and her mother moved to Hollywood and maintained a long-distance relationship with her husband and brother in New York until they joined her in California in 1936. They remained married until Griffin's death on October 14, 1965, and lived in the Holmby Hills in a "kind of French Chateau" they designed. They had one daughter, Mary Frances (née Anna Mary Bush; born 1932), who was adopted by the couple in 1936 (finalized in 1938) from the New York Foundling Hospital, run by the Sisters of Charity of New York. Due to Dunne's privacy, Hollywood columnists struggled to find scandals to write about her — an eventual interview with Photoplay included the disclaimer, "I can guarantee no juicy bits of intimate gossip. Unless, perhaps she lies awake nights heartsick about the kitchen sink in her new home. She's afraid it's too near to the door. Or would you call that juicy? No? No, I thought not." When the magazines alleged that Dunne and Griffin would divorce, Griffin released a statement denying any marital issues. When Griffin was asked about how the marriage had lasted, he replied, "When she had to go on location for a film I arranged my schedule so I could go with her. When I had to go out of town she arranged her schedule so she could be with me. We co-operate in everything. [...] I think a man married to a career woman in show business has to be convinced that his wife's talent is too strong to be dimmed or put out. Then, he can be just as proud of her success as she is and, inside he can take a bow himself for whatever help he's been."
After retiring from dentistry, Griffin became Dunne's business manager, and helped negotiate her first contract. The couple became interested in real estate, later investing in the Beverly Wilshire and partnering with Griffin's family's businesses (Griffin Equipment Company and The Griffin Wellpoint Company.) Griffin sat as a board member of numerous banks, but his offices were relocated from Century City to their home after his death, when Dunne took over as president.
Dunne was a devout Roman Catholic, who became a daily communicant. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Catholic Motion Picture Guild in Beverly Hills, California. Both Dunne and her husband were members of the Knights of Malta.
Dunne died at the age of 91 in her Holmby Hills home on September 4, 1990, and is entombed in the Calvary Cemetery, East Los Angeles. She had been unwell for a year and became bedridden about a month before. Her personal papers are housed at the University of Southern California. She was survived by her daughter, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dunne is considered one of the best actresses of The Golden Age of Hollywood never to win an Academy Award. Roger Fristoe pointed out that "a generation of filmgoers is mostly unfamiliar with her work" because some of her movies had been remade, including Love Affair (remade as An Affair to Remember), Show Boat (remade in 1951), My Favourite Wife (remade as Move Over, Darling), and Cimarron (remade in 1960). Dunne once noted that she had lacked the "terrifying ambition" of some other actresses, explaining in 1977, "I drifted into acting and drifted out. Acting is not everything. Living is." The Awful Truth was voted the 68th best comedy of American cinema.
Although known for her comedic roles, Dunne admitted that she never saw comedy as a worthy genre, even leaving the country to the London premiere of Show Boat with her husband and James Whale to get away from being confronted with a script for Theodora Goes Wild. "I never admired a comedienne," she said retrospectively, "yet it was very easy for me, very natural. It was no effort for me to do comedy at all. Maybe that's why I wasn't so appreciative of it." She ascribed her sense of humor to her late father, as well as her "Irish stubbornness." Her screwball comedy characters have been praised for their subversions to the traditional characterisation of female leads in the genre, particularly Susan (Katharine Hepburn) in Bringing Up Baby and Irene (Carole Lombard) in My Man Godfrey. "Unlike the genre's stereotypical leading lady, who exhibits bonkers behaviour continuously," writes Wes D. Gehring, "Dunne's screwball heroine [in Theodora Goes Wild] chooses when she goes wild." Biographers and critics argue that Dunne's groundedness made her screwball characters more attractive than her contemporaries; Maria DiBattista points out that Dunne is the "only comic actress working under the strictures of the Production Code" who ends both of her screwball movies alongside Cary Grant with a heavy implication of sharing a bed with him, "under the guise of keeping him at bay." Meanwhile, outside of comedy, Andrew Sarris theorized that Dunne's sex appeal is due to the common narrative in her movies about a good girl "going bad."
Dunne was popular with co-workers off-camera, earning a reputation as warm, approachable and having a "poised, gracious manner" like royalty, which spilled into her persona in movies. She earned the nickname "The First Lady of Hollywood" because "she was the first real lady Hollywood has ever seen," said Leo McCarey, with Gregory La Cava adding, "If Irene Dunne isn't the first lady of Hollywood, then she's the last one." Ironically, this title had been bestowed on her when she was a little girl when an aunt cooed "What a little lady!"[159] This ladylike attitude furthered Sarris' sex appeal claims, admitting that the scene when she shares a carriage with Preston Foster on the train in Unfinished Business was practically his "rite of passage" to a sex scene in a film, theorizing that the sex appeal of Dunne came from "a good girl deciding thoughtfully to be bad." On the blatant eroticism of the same train scene, Megan McGurk wrote, "The only thing that allowed this film to pass the censors was that good-girl Irene Dunne can have a one-night stand with a random because she loves him, rather than just a once-off fling. For most other women of her star magnitude, you could not imagine a heroine without a moral compass trained on true north. Irene Dunne elevates a tawdry encounter to something justifiably pure or blameless. She's just not the casual sex type, so she gets away with it." When approached about the nickname in 1936, Dunne admitted that it had grown tiresome but approved if it was meant as "the feminine counterpart of 'gentleman'"; a later interview she did have with the Los Angeles Times would ironically be titled "Irene Dunne, Gentlewoman." She would also be made a Dame (or Lady) of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. The Los Angeles Times referred to Dunne's publicity in their obituary as trailblazing, noting her as one of the first actors to become a freelancer in Hollywood during its rigid studio system through her "non-exclusive contract that gave her the right to make films at other studios and to decide who should direct them," and her involvement with the United Nations as a decision that allowed entertainers from movies and television to branch out into philanthropy and politics, such as Ronald Reagan and George Murphy.
Dunne later said, "Cary Grant always said that I had the best timing of anybody he ever worked with." Lucille Ball admitted at an American Film Institute seminar that she based her comedic skills on Dunne's performance in Joy of Living. When asked about life after retiring from baseball, Lou Gehrig stated that he would want Dunne as a screen partner if he ever became a movie actor. Charles Boyer described her as "a gracious house," adding, "the best room would be the music room [...] Great music, and the best of good swing, and things by Gershwin would sound there always. The acoustics would be perfect. Guests in this house would be relaxed and happy but they would have to mind their manners." A two-sided marker was erected in Dunne's childhood hometown of Madison in 2006.
Dunne received five Best Actress nominations during her career: for Cimarron (1931), Theodora Goes Wild (1936), The Awful Truth (1937), Love Affair (1939) and I Remember Mama (1948); she was the first actor to lose against the same actor in the same category twice, losing to Best Actress winner Luise Rainer in 1936 and 1937. When asked if she ever resented never winning, Dunne pointed out that the nominees she was up against had strong support, believing that she would never have had a chance, especially when Love Affair was against Gone with the Wind.
However, Dunne was honored numerous times for her philanthropy from Catholic organizations and schools, receiving the University of Notre Dame's Laetare Medal, and the Bellarmine Medal from Bellarmine College. She received numerous honorary doctorates, including from Chicago Musical College (for music), Loyola University and Mount St. Mary's College (both for Law). In 1953, she and her husband were made Lady and Knight of the Holy Sepulchre, respectively. For her film career, she was honored by the Kennedy Center, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6440 Hollywood Blvd, and displays in the Warner Bros. Museum and Center for Motion Picture Study.

- B I O G R A P H Y -
Life long resident of Chicago, IL
The oldest of five kids. He’s got three younger brothers and a younger sister - they’re not all that close.
He suffers from OCD and Mysophobia, and a mild case of Claustrophobia - all of which developed when he was a very young child.
He had spent the summer with his aunt in Springfield, while his parents went to Mexico to visit his paternal grandparents. His Aunt Marina, unfortunately, turned out to be a massive hoarder. Her house was an absolute nightmare - disgustingly filled to the max with literal garbage, and other useless, dirty junk that she’d collected over a good ten or so years. There was no livable space anywhere, not even a proper bed, except for a very small nook in the corner of the house. He remembers vividly, to this day, the infestation of roaches, mice, rats and dead carcasses of rodents and cats, and not to mention all the fecal matter of said animals, that he’d come across that summer. The smell alone...
Even to his then four year old brain, it had been more than enough to traumatize him for life, despite not remembering much else about it.
Nowadays, he wears a pair of black leather gloves wherever he goes.
He's the owner of Malnati Pizzeria - has owned the place for ten years, his dad owning it before him. When his papi passed away, the business was then passed to Zeke.
Is divorced. He's got a vindictive ex-wife, two teen daughters (twins) and an 8 year old son - all three of whom he hardly sees these days because his ex-wife's such a bitch and has gotten the court to deny him visitation rights. So he's bitter, and angry, and HATES that woman with a passion.
His childhood was not terrible, but it wasn’t all that great, either. Especially for a kid who did suffer from OCD and who was a germaphobe.
For a good portion of his life, his family always struggled with income, and growing up in poverty in a large city like Chicago was not exactly a blast. They lived on the north side of the city, in a small, cramped, rundown apartment - it had two bedrooms, one bathroom, and it was always infested with cockroaches and mice, and spiders. His literal nightmare.
The walls were super thin, the floor tiles loose or broken, and the AC and heater rarely worked, so it was often way too cold or too hot, but never comfortable. With a family of seven living within it’s walls, it was...claustrophobic to say the least.
Things started to change gradually when he was around 12. His papi got fired from his job as a taxi driver due to him being a liability after being in one too many road-side accidents, which desperately drove him to search for work elsewhere. Somehow, and Zeke never did get the full answer from him, Miguel Marcolas wound up working for the O’Sheas. He was eventually given Malnati Pizzeria as a ‘gift’, a place of business that he could call his own, so long as he stayed loyal and did his part to keep O’Shea business running smoothly.
Zeke had always been a highly intelligent individual, scarily so, so he was quick to pick up on the changes in both his father and their financial situation. They went from barely having anything to eat or any clothes to wear, presents to give out for Christmas or birthdays, to having all that and more...more than any of them had ever had before. Of course, he wasn’t one to knock a good thing like a newfound well of money. Questioning where the pizzeria came from and how his papi was able to afford ownership wasn’t something Zeke cared to do, or know the answer to. It didn’t matter.
Though he knew deep down that whatever it was his papi was dabbling in, definitely wasn’t honorable or lawful...but again, the kid didn’t care. It eventually got him and his family out of that shit apartment, and that was a godsend in his eyes.
The older he got, the more he started helping out at the pizzeria, and by the time he was 14, Zeke had met a fair share of the members of the O’Shea gang. Because he wasn’t just another stupid and naive kid, by that time he’d already figured out exactly who his papi worked for; instead of being scared like most kids might have been, what with being surrounded on a daily basis with some of the worst criminals that the city had to offer, Zeke had felt safe in their presence. He felt in awe of those men and women and the power they held.
The uppers that passed through Malnati had their eyes on him from day one, it seemed. They clearly saw the keenness in his eyes, and the idolization, but also a great potential, because they kept him around. His father, not an affectionate or loving man by any means of the word, watched on proudly as his associates took an interest in his eldest son, quickly shaping and morphing his impressionable young mind.
At the age of seventeen, Zeke proudly received his Chi Rho, joining the O’Sheas as a sentinel. Like many, he’d have to prove to them all that he was worthy of the tattoo, and boy was he ready...and he sure as hell proved that, to.
Zeke was as loyal as one could be to the O’Sheas, and despite his OCD and Mysophobia that he had to contend with, he had his ways of working around that, and he quickly became a deadly killing machine under the close training of his General handler at the time. He rose rapidly through the ranks, until he reached his desired position among the gang - Bonebreaker.
He’s been a Bonebreaker for going on fifteen years now, and he was still thriving. He was a stone-faced killer, a psychopath with no emotions, no qualms about taking out whatever hit he was assigned. There was no remorse for what he did, and he doubted that there would ever be...he wasn’t capable of that kind of emotion.
- W A N T E D   C O N N E C T I O N S -
Ex-Wife - He didn’t get worked up over a lot of things; it actually took quite a bit for him to even show that much emotion, but his ex-wife was certainly capable of pushing all of his buttons. He absolutely hated her, and the only reason she wasn’t dead, was because of his children’s sake. Despite not outwardly showing his love for his daughters and son, he did love them...as much as he was able to. They were about the only thing he truly felt any sort of positive emotions towards.

Background
Mainly known in certain circles for being a smuggler in hell, Vic is a reserved man, but true to his word in business and recognized for risking his neck to get things that others cannot. Previously, he was a hitman in a band of rather ruthless murderers, so the ones that remember him from those days use to have some fear or resentment of him. Those who know him as a friend, or a drinker / Sponsor of the Latino bar “Los Condenados” may have a very different look from him, being friendly, funny and protective of his buddies.
Early Life and more background:
He grew up in poverty and was natural to lean to a path of crime and drugs from an early age, joining a drug cartel in life. He doesn't seem to have ended a good relationship with his family because of this. His death seems to have led to a very violent act, while trying to save someone. Only Zaza and Francis seem to know what it was like in life. And in hell, before meeting Zaza he was a very different person.
   Relationship with the Characters:
Alastor
Vic knows about his reputation well, so he knows that he is not someone to directly mess with. Although he would not be intimidated by him or  coerced to do his bidings. His personality seems exaggerated and too narcissistic. Before the hotel, he only saw it rarely, in companny of Husk.
Angel Dust
Knowing his family on business, Angel's figure and personality seem contrasting. He knows his reputation as a porn actor and drag, but coming from where he comes from, he seems to be someone with much more personality and willpower than one would think to have followed that different way of life. He prefers to keep his distance and ignore his jokes or sexual advances. But if they talked normally, they would probably enjoy some of their humor and personality as long as their attitudes are no reason to bother Vaggie.
Charlie
The lovely princess of hell may look like someone too idealistic, but he appreciates her gentle heart. No doubt, just hearing about her from Vaggie, he already likes her. Her overflowing energy may seem even childish, but Charlie seems like a reasonable and friendly person, with whom he can appreciate things without having to be on guard. Deep down, she supports her relationship with Vaggie and thinks she is a better option than him in every way.
Francis (OC)
Francis and Vic are usually business partners. While Vic is more a provider of merchandise and services, Francis is more a mediator and deal maker, full of contacts but worthless alone. Francis met Vic alive and they seemed to have a similar relationship back then. Knowing each other for so long makes one and  other understand each other, and although they may sometimes be on opposite sides for business, they try not to confront each other and meet at the end of the day at the bar as friends.
Husk
Drinking and gambling companions, he likes the badly spoken cat very much. Although they do not have much of a relationship  outside the games and cards, the bitter personality of Husk amuses Vic,  and both are good drinkers. Like Alastor, he usually calls him with many nicknames, such as "Husky" or instead of "Husker" "Oscar" making fun of how his name sounds for someone of Spanish language. The Bully seems to return sympathy, even if it is also insulting him in between  the words and has  Vic as a drinker almost at his level. And at least a worthy rival in the cards. Husk was about to beat Vic, Francis and another group of friends  in the poker game when Alastor kidnapped him by transporting him to the Hotel.
Madelaine(OC of Jlaiyon)
Vic was Madelaine's client and lover, frequenting the nightclub where she worked and sometimes taking her to the bar “ Los Condenados” with his friends. They had a semi-stable informal relationship for a while, where from the beginning Vic assumed that she only wanted him for his money. Having a good time with a girl with a crazy but sweet attitude, he doesn't care too much about being left with empty and ragged pockets. Like most demons, Madelaine cared little about the dirty works Vic did, so after a particularly hard day of work, and even smelling of victims' blood she would receive it, smelling of sex and cupcakes, to help relax with her body, voice and drugs. Both appreciated the other not to be smokers and to be great dancers (although Vic has no feets). Vic was especially in love with her singing and even accompanied her to a couple of auditions. Zaza remembers Madelaine with more misgivings, because Vic had spent entire days just drugging and just laying down with her, risking falling into her old vices and a more violent and mindless personality. That and that if any of her whims were not fulfilled or after any small discussion, the little one could end up poisoning him and his acquaintances. Dispite  of all this, the relationship with Vic did not end badly, seeing her little but even considering her a “friend”, that being said, he did not re-hire her services or eat her cupcakes, only watching her shows very occasionally.
Maria (OC)
Maria is the last member to join the bar, with her focused and calm personality, in addition to her physical strength and ability, it immediately seemed a good idea to put her in charge of the Bar Security. She and Vic may not be as intimate   friends with each other as they are with Zaza, but they respect  and appreciate each other as friends and fighters. More than once  they trained together. Vic appreciates that she is not only size and muscle, she seems to be a reserved, witty and intelligent woman, so he tries to behave and make others behave with her.
Ohio (OC derived from the interpretation of a client of Helluva Boss)
Derral, nicknamed "Ohio" by everyone at the bar, is a truck driver and playmate and drink buddy of Vic. Sometimes knowingly or not, he ends up helping to transport some of the products that Vic trades. Vic see him  like a crazy, silly, loud redneck, but he also knows how to have fun with him, so he has learned to appreciate hum. For all the uneducated and ill-spoken that Ohio is, he appreciates that he seems to be loyal to his friends, and respects the atmosphere and the owners of the bar "Los Condenados" without creating problems very often. More than once he has had to put it in place when he has his tantrums.
Vaggie
Vaggie is Vic's main romantic interest. He knew her casually for her hotel project. Although when they met face to face at first she rejects him when he tries to approach, he immediately thought it was someone worth defending and knowing about. Her personality, appearance and ability, everything seemed to get his attention right away. Perhaps deep inside, Vaggie's initial hostility and the need to be defensive reminds him of himself a little bit. Although Vaggie has not told him about her past, he would also bet that they have similar issues as he feels their past lives and origins  can relate, more so with both of them  being Latinos. Beyond that, Vaggie is already different from other demons because of the cause that is involved. Although Vic wonders how much Vaggie believes in her cause for herself and not for following Charlie's dreams. In any case, she seems admirable and appreciates the friendship and trust that she gradually provides. While his feelings for her grow even he always prioritizes wanting to see her happy, he doesn't feel up to her next to Charlie's love.
Vinnie Vermin (OC)

One thing I'd like to see this volume/maybe during a flashback while everyone's out looking for Oscar is seeing someone from RNJR asking Oscar what it's like to basically have be 2 people in one body. Or if the flashback shows a scene where RNJR, especially Ruby where trying to get to know Oscar & at one point Ruby mentions the book that Blake was reading back in V1 "The man with 2 souls." Maybe this conversation along with V5 C5 ends up being what brought them close/cemented their friendship.
That’swhat I’m talking about Nite. This is why I’m hoping that C9 is an Oscar-worthyflashback episode with more memoriesfrom Mistral with Oscar’s time with RNJR.
Ilike your idea about one of the RNJR crew asking Oscar about what it’s likesharing a body with Ozpin. Technically thatwas the question Ruby asked him back in V5 C3. She basically asked him if it was weird having another soul in his body.
Nora: Did he age backwards?Jaune: He’s possessed!Ren: Or reincarnated?Ruby: Oh, isn’t it weird?
Outof RNJR, Ruby seemed the most curious about Oscar’s predicament as the Man withTwo Souls so if there’s anyone I’d expect to question the farm boy further onthis, it’s her since she seemed to most enthusiastic about knowing more.
Tumblr media
Ifwe are granted that full episode with RNJR Oscar-themed memories from Mistralthen here are the memories I’d love to see:
Oscarsharing a trainingsession with Jaune after finding himtraining at night like Ruby did during V4. Ruby did pull those two together in V5 C4,so I’d love a sort of continuation ofthat scene where Oscar gets a shot at training with Jaune on how to parry withthe Oz-cane. The same way how Pyrhha was able to teach Jaune, I’d love it ifthe two shared a small bonding moment like that. Perhaps Jaune and Oscar have alittle spar while Oscar asks Jaune about the Pyrhha recordings he still listensto. Mind you, by the time Oscar meets with RNJR in Mistral, we’re not sure ifQrow informed him and Oz of Pyrhha’s death.
I’dlike to think there’s a missing Mistral memory where Jaune tells Oscar (and Oz)about Pyrhha through a one-on-one training match. We know that Oscar learnedabout Pyrhha’s sacrifice from Ruby. Maybe Jaune will tell him the same storybut from his point of view from the night Beacon fell. About how powerlessJaune felt being so helpless that Pyrhha had to send him away while she wentoff to fight alone. We can all assume that the reason Jaune pushes himself sohard is so that in the event of a crisis, he’ll never let another one of hisfriends go off to fight by themselves.
He’ll be there to fight alongside them.To protect them. He won’t be a liability to anyone anymore. He’ll be the best support he can be. That’s what Jaune confides in Oscar andthe two make a promise to spar again anytime Oscar is up for it. An excuse to see these two actually getting along.
Tumblr media
Mynext Mistral memory idea I’d love to see is with Lie Ren. We all know that Ren isbasically thekey chef of the heroes, right? Perhaps…on thefirst night after Oscar had first moved in with RNJR and had fully integratedinto their group, Ren decided to cook a celebratory dinner of known Mistraliandelicacies that he felt Oscar would like.
Rememberwhat Ruby told Oscar back in V5 C5? She said “Come on, if you don’t hurry, Nora’s going toeat everything. It wouldn’t be the firsttime.”
Perhaps…this could be Ren’smemory with Oscar. Ren preparing the freckled farm boy a feast to help him feelwelcomed onto the team only for Nora to greedily eat the whole thing; much toRen’s dismay as all his hard work went right into his girlfriend’s stomach.Imagine Nora devouring Oscar’s celebratory feast and Oscarsmoothing it over by saying he also likes pizza or some other takeout dish thatthe group decide to go out and eat instead. I’d love it if that’s Oscar’smemory with Ren.
Perhaps cooking meals for guests is something Ren rememberedas a customary tradition from his childhood living with his family in Kunoyuriand it’s a tradition he wants to uphold given the fact that he lost his familywhich he will tell Oscar. Who knows? Maybe after Ren tells Oscar that helost both of his parents to a Grimm that took over his entire village, Oscarwill disclose that he also lost both of his parents and that’s why he wasliving with his aunt before. That’s how I can see Oscar and Ren bonding.
Tumblr media
Nextup on the Mistral memory list is Nora Valkyrie. I’m trying to come up with ideasthat already tie into things in revealed in the canon. The only thing I canthink of to connect Oscar to Nora is ironically the ‘Cute Boy Oz’ nickname.Despite Ozpin telling Nora not to call him that back in V5, when Nora shoutedit in V6 C7,I noticed that Oscar actually looked up as he heard it. He acknowledged the nickname. I knowthis could be a small coincidinks however now I’m thinking of a memory fromMistral where Oscar came to accept that his new pet name for Nora’s sake.
LikeI’m imagining a memory where Nora keeps calling Oscar by that pet name and himbeing really uncomfortable with it at first until one day Nora pulls Oscar asideand explains why she calls him by a nickname. It’s because it’s her way ofwelcoming Oscar into their little family circle. What if…Nora even goes on to revealthat when she looks at Oscar, she sees him as the kid brother she would have liked to haveif she still had her family; hinting at her past.
Afterthat, Oscar started to allow Nora to call him that as his way of accepting heras the big sister he would have liked to have. I think that’s a cute way toshow Nora and Oscar bonding and it can fit into the canon. But it’s just anidea.
Tumblr media
Finally, there are the Mistral Memories with Ruby Rose. Since Ruby is currently the closestperson to Oscar on the heroes’ squad, I’m going to be biased and give her two memories instead of one. Remember how helpful to Ruby Oscarwas back in V5 C5?What if…thereis a follow-up memory that ties into the first part of V5 C8. After Yang stormed off whenshe revealed she was still angry towards Blake for leaving, Ruby surprisinglywasn’t the one to go talk to her. As we know, it was Weiss and Ruby only showedup by the end to see if everything is okay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if…there is a missing memory from that episode where Ruby sought out Oscar foradvice after how helpful he was back in V5 C5 and she and Oscar shared anothernice chat with one another which basically ends in Oscar telling Ruby to trustin Weiss to help her sister. Ruby may be the leader and the voice of reason andguidance among the heroes but she’s just as fragile aseveryone else. She may possess a quantifiable spark that inspires others in thedarkest of times but she should also take better care of her own mentalitybecause while she’s busy mending everyone else, who’s there to keep her fromfalling apart?
That’swhat I like most about the Rosebuds and findvery interesting about Oscar’s rapport with Ruby. By my observation, Oscar hasdesignated himself as someone to look out for Ruby and keep her from losing herspark. He’s there as a support for her and I’d love a memory that cements thatabout their friendship.
Anothermemory I’d like to see is one that takes place during Oscar’s recoveryfollowing the Battle of Haven and before the group leave for Argus. V6 C2 highlighted Ozpin being the one to speak to thegroup after regaining consciousness. I’d like it if we got a moment where Rubyshows up in Oscar’s room to check up on how he’s doing before everyone departs. And from this memory, Oscar will reveal the final clue to where he would go inArgus.
Sincemy theory is that Oscar will be found at the Wall of Argus, what if…ina past memory, Oscartold Ruby that once the team arrived in Argus, he’d love to visit the Wall since he heard that the Argus Wall is one of thetallest places in Remnant and he wanted to go up there just to watch thesunrise. So Ruby makes a promise for the two to see the sunrise together fromthe Wall once they’ve settled things in Argus. That’s when Ruby will get theidea to go to the Wall.
Tumblr media
Again, they did not make Oscar look up at the Wall in C7 for kicks. This is wherehe’ll be found looking at the sunrise, at least by my theory.
Butyeah, these are all just my ideas of things I’d love to see from the MissingFarm Boy Arc. I could be wrong but, again, I’m hope I’m right at least aboutseeing memories from Mistral with RNJR and Oscar. I’d really love to see that.

How to Grow Your YouTube Channel? 10  Ways
Tumblr media
There's no denying that video marketing has become more popular and accessible to businesses in recent years. Despite the fact that popular platforms such as Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even your own website are excellent places to invest, YouTube continues to be the market leader. Individuals spend a billion hours every day watching material on the internet. If you know a few tactics, YouTube, nicknamed the world's "second largest search engine," will help the videos be discovered quickly and deeply interacted with.
Here are 10 ways to grow your YouTube channel:
Upload to YouTube at least once a week
Recent studies show that YouTube channels that upload more than once a week perform significantly better and receive significantly more suggested views.
If you're just getting started and trying to build an audience, aim to upload a video to YouTube three or more times every week. Maintaining a weekly posting schedule of multiple posts will quickly improve your channel's algorithm rating.
Creating a big volume of content on similar subjects early on will help the channel do well in the algorithm and establish a catalog of content that will move viewers from one video to the next, increasing their viewing duration and encouraging them to subscribe.
Create a video production workflow that will last
Even if you're generating Oscar-worthy short films and videos, if each one takes six months to make, your YouTube channel won't grow. People return because there are consistent video uploads at predetermined times.
Choose material for any films you want to make that you can generate and build on a daily basis, and identify ways to streamline the production process, whether it's by setting up a workshop, constructing an editing prototype, or hiring assistance or a production team. Continue to fine-tune the subjects and production procedure until you've got a well-oiled machine.
Each video should begin with an engaging hook
It's up to you and your content to pique people's interest. If a video includes a project of any kind, show the completed product first. People are interested in learning how you arrived at such a remarkable result. In DIY and makeover shows, this strategy works wonderfully.
Telling a narrative is another approach to get people's attention. People are wired to tell stories from the moment they are born. If you start your video with a plot, people will naturally want to stick around to watch what occurs. Personal experiences also endear the host to the audience and provide a useful segue to more sophisticated subjects.
It'd be nice if you kept titles and opening credits to a minimum
The attention span of the ordinary human is only a few seconds. If a video begins with a lengthy title or credit sequence, viewers may lose interest. People don't want to watch the same long series over and over, therefore a protracted first episode deters binge watching.
Instead, keep the opening title and credits short and sweet. Allow the opener to last for at least 5 seconds.
To promote your videos, channel, or website, include end screens
End screens are animated graphics that link viewers to another video, playlist, channel, or website, or encourage them to subscribe to your channel. As the feature name implies, you can only include end screens in the last 20 seconds of the film, so you'll need to think about where they'll start.
One option is to structure the content of your video in such a way that end screens are available. The viewer's interest will be maintained if you talk over the end screen.
Alternatively, where the end screens will be placed, you should install a slate with an icon or logo. Choose choice if you don't want the end screen to interfere with your content.
Create thumbnails that will entice YouTube consumers to watch your video More than anything else, thumbnails have the potential to make or damage your YouTube career. What is the rationale for this? Videos that have been recommended.
The most popular source of organic traffic on YouTube is suggested videos. While someone is watching a video on YouTube, the video thumbnail must stand prominent when it is in the right sidebar as a recommended video. When YouTube recommends your video, it's essentially marketing it by insinuating that someone viewing another video could also appreciate yours.
Make the thumbnail relevant to the video's title and content. The quickest way to cause visitors to click away is to show a video that has nothing to do with the thumbnail. The audience believes they have been duped. Not only will you alienate your audience, but you'll also have insufficient viewing time, which is the most important element in the YouTube algorithm.
Try to describe a storyline with your thumbnails. Show a picture that establishes or teases the scene. Allow the audience to be intrigued by what will happen next or what has already occurred.
Many users utilize the 1280 x 720 pixel video thumbnail size that YouTube recommends. Although the images are stunning, no one on YouTube ever sees a thumbnail that small.
FS Poster is a powerful auto-posting plugin with a lot of features. You will be able to post your blogs immediately to 15 social media networks from WordPress. Try out our Demo version.
Make videos longer to enhance the amount of time people spend watching them
Even if you wish to keep your credits brief, make your actual video material as long as it makes sense for your subject. Making extended videos seems counterintuitive given the famously poor attention spans on the internet. Shorter videos were thought to be superior. Longer videos, on the other hand, result in more watch time, which increases the amount of content in the algorithm.
Finally, the optimum video length is just long enough to convey all of the relevant information without becoming excessive. If you make a video longer only for the sake of making it longer, you will lose viewers. You should, however, prepare your video content with lengthier videos in mind.
To expand your YouTube channel, try going live Live-streaming is a smart method to get a lot of information out there without putting in a lot of effort. While live-streaming has a steep learning curve, once you've mastered the format, it's the simplest way to create video content.
Live broadcasting is increasingly recognized across all social media platforms. Because you can speak directly to your viewers in this video type, it allows for a lot of interaction. Live video also has a property of long watch times.
You may start broadcasting live footage with your smartphone or a webcam. In addition, webcams that are relatively inexpensive will produce high-quality film.
Collaborate with other YouTubers Collaborations are films generated by other content creators, and they're one of the most successful ways to expand your YouTube audience. Working with another content creator, whether it's a business or a YouTuber (or both! ), will bring new viewers to your channel.
People are heavily influenced by social evidence. When one content creator collaborates with another, their audience interprets the collaboration as a recommendation. A viewer can try out your channel in as little as a few seconds, and if they like what they see, you've got a new subscriber.
People frequently overlook the reality that YouTube is primarily a social networking tool. Some of the most well-known developers become well-known as a result of collaboration and cross-promotion. It's tempting to let your competitive side take over when you see a platform receiving more attention or developing quicker than yours. Instead, consider their achievement as an opportunity for you to grow with them.
If you want collaborators with recognizable audiences but distinct material, ask your fans who else they enjoy viewing and search for names and shared videos in the comments.
Collaborations do not have to be limited to two individuals. Different producers may collaborate on animations to obtain exposure to a wider audience.
The larger your platform becomes and the more relationships you develop, the more opportunities for multi-creator collaborations will arise. Many of the more prominent YouTube channels do this on a regular basis since the other producers become friends with them and hang out with them in person.
Create video series
Binge-watching is a terrific method to get more viewing time out of a show. Finally, you want your viewers to be able to "lean back" as they transition from one video to the next. Series playlists, an underappreciated feature on YouTube, are one of the best ways to do this. However, you'll need to employ them in a specific order.
You may build a series that focuses on high-performing content. Indeed, numerous popular YouTube channels have multiple episodes, each with its own focus on the subject and thumbnail image type.
When you share videos from your series, you can create a series playlist. If you use a sequence playlist, YouTube will automatically add the next video in the playlist to the Up Next section at the top of the suggestions. If a viewer's computer has autoplay turned on, the videos in your series playlist will play one after the other.
Conclusion
To expand your YouTube channel, you must create YouTube content with your audience and the algorithm in mind. Make sure your thumbnails grab people's attention and deliver on what you said you'd do. Start your videos with a strong hook and modify the material to keep it intriguing. Overall, you want to create an atmosphere that encourages viewers to keep watching.
Thanks to the YouTube algorithm, boosting the number of clicks and keeping people interested boosts the exposure of your videos and, as a result, your website. Engaging content that encourages viewers to push the play button and results in a long viewing period and session length will increase the number of views for your YouTube videos.
