I feel weird about Thea but I can’t really put into words exactly why? So I’m writing down some things I’ve thought.

-> He will stay with you the whole time, mostly because he was too lazy to go back to class, and the fact that he was really only trying to impress you and since you're not there anymore it didn't matter to him. Though he will make sure to ask every couple minutes if you're okay, even if he looks like he's falling asleep against your shoulder

✮ - Was actually half falling asleep against your shoulder before you had to move him slightly when the nurse gave you an ice pack, which woke him up and that’s when he realized what was actually happening, to which he did end up staying awake to make sure that you were okay. Checking on you every couple minutes with a quick “You good?” or “You’re not dying. Right?”. He’s trying his best, but normally Reo takes care of him, he’s never been on the other side of this. The nurses will always slightly laugh at him, because he looks kinda worried but actually has no idea on what to do to help you. Is the only one who will actually take the ice pack off of you, not because he was trying to prevent healing, but you said your nose was cold and bro just fixed the problem, well that was until you laughed at him and he was hella confused. (please explain to this man about the great thing to athletes and injuries that is an Ice pack). Though he was super sweet other than that and did try to learn a bit and pay attention when the nurse finally let you leave with just some instructions on how to take care of it.

“Next time, just pay attention.. So we don’t have to go through all of this again. How I wished first aid kids that just auto healed worked in real life..”

-> Stayed with you, but he laughed. The whole time. Man has almost been in tears twice sitting next to you, thinking about the way the ball came right in the center of your face and now it's all bruised. The nurses at this point also wanna give him a bruised nose so he can finally shut up

✮ - He was trying to contain his laugh the whole time he walked you there, plus in the office when the nurses were trying to help you, by getting tissues, an ice pack, and possibly some sort of pain medication. You probably have already given this man so many dirty looks and glares, but he just doesn’t seem to care whatsoever. Now, not to get this confused. He is concerned for your safety, but the fact that you got smack dabbed hit in the center of your face with a football is just so freaking funny to him and he’s just watching it over and over in his head. Had it been a whole different injury, one that didn’t look so funny, he would probably be more serious about it, but come on, it was pretty funny. Though, he’s probably also gotten hit a couple times with a ball so he does at least know the basics of making sure that you’re okay. So another one that makes sure that you keep that ice pack on the whole goddamn time, unless obviously, freezer burn. (I’ve had it, it sucks.) Though again, everytime he sees your nose, all red and starting to get bruised he will indeed laugh. But at the end of the day he’ll also be pretty helpful in making sure that it gets better, since his past experiences, if you can deal with the constant teasing.

-> Always making sure that you're okay. You move? He's asking. You made a funny face of pain? He's asking. You even looked at him? he's asking. He's really just worried and wants to make sure that you're okay and that it won't be all that bad or anything

✮ - This man has not left your side the whole time you’ve been sitting there. He’s constantly asking and making sure you’re okay and don’t need anything. Not to mention, he’s also been holding your hand the whole time, just in case. The only time he ever lets go is when the nurses come to make sure you’re okay. He’s just being cautious, hey, maybe you’ll need two hands to hold something or whatever. The only time he will keep his hold on you is when they come to move it around to make sure it’s not like broken or anything, then he’ll keep it there so you can squeeze it to deal with the pain, hey, hurt noses are nothing to sneeze at (please somebody laugh at that). Whenever your hand gets tired (or just cold) of holding your ice pack, he’ll take over. He’s just so freaking helpful and all the nurses love him for that. Though being an athlete himself does help a lot, he’s pretty good at knowing how all this stuff works. Checking to make sure that you’re following what the nurses said and making sure that it’s not getting too bad. Though once he sees that it’s all red and stuff he will chuckle a little, as worried as he is.

“Maybe next time you keep your attention on the field and not in whatever world you were in, okay?”

Reo Mikage

-> He was still laughing a little bit, and chuckled when he was reminded of the event, but for the most part was pretty worried about you and made sure that you didn't touch it too much so you didn't accidently hurt it anymore. Like Isagi, he also made sure to ask if you were okay every couple minutes, he just really wants to make sure that it won't cause anything long term.

✮ - He was sitting in the nurse's office with you, making sure that you were okay, asking if you needed anything. Water? To take off the ice pack for a second? Another tissue? He’s got it all covered. I mean he’s been taking care of Nagi for how long, this isn’t all that different. Well besides the fact he also gets a laugh or two out of it. (he won’t actually let out a laugh until you’re leaving the nurse’s office, and when he’s sure that it’s starting to get better). He just thinks it’s a little funny, watching the scene replay in his head of you getting hit in the face with the football. He knows that he shouldn’t laugh at your demise, but you can’t blame him. Though he’ll make sure that you always have everything you need for the next couple weeks, or at least until it’s healed. After the initial injury he might be a little more easy to make laugh, and by that I mean every time he sees your slightly bruised nose he’s letting out a chuckle. Was he worried at first? Yeah. But now he just sees it as a memory of you spacing out at the worst time.

“I know that I look good on the field, but next time pay attention to the flying ball and not at your amazing boyfriend~”

-> Staying with you. No matter what. The nurses most likely hate him at this point, he's silent and he really isn't doing anything besides being next to you. Though, what they don't know is that fact every time he sees you twist with discomfort or make a face he's reaching over to ask if you're okay or you need anything

✮ - The nurses have come over a couple times at this point, once to give you an ice pack, once just to double check that you were okay, and once to give you some pain medication and water. Though on the right side of you, Sae has just been looking over at some of the other patients, and nurses walking around the office. After everytime one of the nurses walks up to you or does anything he will turn his attention back over to you and ask you a quick “you okay.” slightly looking at either your face or body language. If he ever can see that you’re lying to him, good luck to you. He’s an athlete, man has most likely gotten hurt in his career, and he knows lying and saying you’re fine isn’t doing anything, it’s actually most likely making it worse. So in turn he will glare at you until you finally say that you’re not okay. He just wants you to be honest, especially if it hurts and it’s something that can be fixed. Though also with his background he knows how to take care of things like that, and might possibly be the best one to have in this scenario, well if you can deal with him constantly not (facial) showing that he cares.

“I live here” she chuckled. “Why so surprised?”

“I wasn’t expecting you until later.” 

“I can tell… Are you hiding someone in your room?”

“What?” I asked. 

“I saw the beer bottles in the living room, and I don’t see you drinking all that on your own.”

The beers. Oh, good. I was so… gone after saying goodnight to Rúben and his kiss, and also so worried about Julia, that I had totally forgotten about them.  

“No, no. I shared them with Rúben.”

“Oh my God, is he in your room?” Lucy asked, lowering down her voice.

“What? No! He just stayed for a bit after we put Julia to bed, nothing else” I said, my face definitely looking bright red.

“Just a bit? I counted six beers.”

“Ok, fine. Maybe it was a bit longer.”

“And did anything happen?” Lucy asked with a playful smile.

“No. We just talked.”

“Really? You were drinking with a man like that and nothing happened?”

“Yeah” I shrugged. But it could have happened. I’m pretty sure he was planning on kissing me before Julia woke up.

“Do you like him?”

“What?”

“Rúben. Do you like him? Because I think he likes you.”

“He doesn’t like me” I snorted, crossing my arms over my chest. Why was I acting so… defensively?

“I met him not long after Julia was born, and he had never invited us to a game or come over for a movie night. Though it would have been a bit weird, because my ex was super jealous of him.”

“He was jealous of Rúben?”

“Oh, he was. Rúben has always adored Julia, he loves kids. And every time we crossed paths he would ask about her, make her laugh… those cute things. And my ex would get so mad… More than once our arguments started because he was jealous, thinking that I was flirting with Rúben when I was just being nice.”

“What a dick. He was the one actually doing the cheating, not you.” Because that was the reason why he and Lucy had divorced. He had been cheating on her with Julia’s piano teacher, and she probably wasn't the first.

“Exactly! So you can imagine our fight when I found out. It was… nasty.”

“I’m sorry, Lucy.”

“Oh, don’t be. I’m so much better like this… And I am not interested in Rúben in any shape or form beyond admiring how hot he is. He is all yours” she winked.

“I don’t…”

“Mami!” Julia said behind me, running towards her mum. “I’ve missed you so much!”

“So have I, princesa.”

“I am not a princess, I am Queen Elsa! She is the princess, princess Anna" she explained. "And Rúben is Kristoff.”

“Is he?” Lucy said, looking at me. “Isn’t he Anna’s boyfriend?”

“He is. But oh, mami, I have to show you the doll I got on my Happy Meal last night!” Julia said, jumping from her mother’s arms and running away.

“Anna and Kristoff, uh? Even Julia knows.”

“You won’t believe what Julia’s teacher told me yesterday when I met with her” Lucy said. Since this weekend Julia was with her dad, we met to have lunch together just the two of us and organize everything for the traditional Christmas party all the neighbours celebrated together. Each year a different one was the host, and it was her turn.

“Is she struggling?”

“Oh, no, she is doing great. She actually is one of the best in her class, so I guess I have to thank you for that. But this was about a personal matter.”

“Personal? What do you mean?”

“Apparently, kids have been asking Julia if she has two mums, because someone is going around saying that the reason why my ex and I got divorced, was that I cheated on him with the piano teacher. You.”

“No way” I gasped, almost choking with my drink.

“Yep. You suddenly showed up one day, Julia said you were her piano teacher, there had been rumours about one being the cause of our break up, and they decided that that was what had happened. They believe that I sacked my old nanny and that it is you now taking care of Julia because we can finally live our love and don't have to hide anymore.”

“I… wow" I chuckled. "What about Julia, tho? What has she told the other kids? Because she hasn’t said anything to me.”

“She doesn’t understand what they mean. But her teacher told me that if they ask again, she’ll explain to them that Julia has a mum and a dad, and use that to explain to them that these days there are different types of families and they all are valid.”

“Oh, good. And the mums? Are you gonna tell them something?”

“Nah, it isn’t worth it. I’ll just wait until one day you show up with Rúben and leave them confused” Lucy smirked while taking a sip of her wine. 

“Lucy…”

“Sorry, I’m sorry. But I already told you. I think he likes you, and you definitely like him. And I know you don’t have much experience with guys and dating, but trust me, he is one of the good ones. I don’t know if he is your one or not, but whatever happens, it will be worth it” she winked, making me blush. Because I knew what was crossing her mind in that moment. “Anyway, there is something else we must discuss.”

“About the party?”

“No, but it has to do with my apartment. One of the things the mums at the school are gossiping about is that you and I are living together. And to be honest, we kind of are, aren't we? So I think we should make it official. You should move in with Julia and I.”

"I don't know, Lucy...”

“Like I said, you are basically living with us already. You have your own room and most nights you sleep there, so why pay the rent for your apartment and have to worry about missing the bus, when you could just live with us and save all that money?”

“I guess it makes sense. But are you sure? What if one day you want to bring someone home and I am there?”

“Then I’ll kick you out and send you to Rúben’s house.”

“Lucy…”

“Sorry, sorry” she apologized again. “But it is an option. And if you move in with us, it means you can see him more often, get to know each other a bit more, and see if there is something going on. I think it is a win-win situation, and Julia would love it.”

“Fine, ok” I said after thinking about it for a few seconds. It all made sense, didn't it? The Rúben part included. “I’ll move in with you.”

“Great!” Lucy said, clapping her hands just as Julia does when she gets excited. “Let’s order some champagne to celebrate.”

“I thought we were meeting to organize the party” I chuckled.

“Oh, yes. We can do that later” she replied, calling for the waiter.

“Oh, for fucks sake!” I yelled, sitting on the floor. 

It was moving day, everything was going wrong and it was all my fault.

I thought I could do it all by myself, but turns out that I had way more shit than I remembered, and I ended up with two huge suitcases and a bunch of boxes, all of them very close to exploding. Which was what had happened the moment I made it to our floor. 

I left one of the boxes on top of a suitcase but it wasn’t well balanced. When I saw it was falling I tried to catch it, failed, and both the box and the suitcase fell to the floor, making a horrible noise that I’m sure everyone in the building had been able to hear. And to make it even worse, the suitcase’s zipper had broken and half my clothes were scattered all over the floor.

While I was picking everything and cursing, I heard a door opening. 

“Please don’t be Rúben, please don’t be Rúben” I said under my breath.

“What the hell happened here? Are you ok?” Rúben said, bending down next to me.

“I’m fine, don’t worry. My suitcase, not so much.”

“Let me help you” he said, picking up some of my clothes. Or to be precise, a bag full of knickers. 

“I don’t need help with this” I said, quickly grabbing the bag from his hand, my face burning. “But you could pick those boxes over there and bring them inside.”

“Ok” he smirked. Because even though I wasn’t looking at his face due to how emabarrased I was, his voice was saying it all. “Are you sure you don’t need help with that suitcase?”

“I…” I needed help. The zipper was completely broken and I wasn’t strong enough to carry it. He, with his big arms, definitely was. “Ok. But don’t open it.”

“I won’t, I promise.” 

As expected, he lifted it with ease and I followed him inside the house while carrying the other suitcase. 

“Where should I put this?”

“My room. Over here.”

“Are you… are you moving in with Lucy and Julia?” Rúben asked after leaving the suitcase on the floor.

“I am, yes. Lucy thought it was the best idea since I spend most of my time here.”

“Are gonna be proper neighbours?”

“We are, yes.”

“Well, my door will always be open for you. Whatever you may need.” 

When he said that, I made the huge mistake of looking at him… and there it was. That smirk that made my knees feel like jelly. 

“Thank you” I muttered. “And for helping me too.”

“Do you need anything else?”

“The will to unpack all of this” I sighed.

“If you aren't in the mood for it, why don’t we go out somewhere? The Christmas market is already open, so we could have a look, get a hot chocolate...”

“Are you allowed to drink hot chocolate?” I chuckled.

“I am allowed to eat and drink many things. I just choose not to do it because I like being healthy. But when you are around, I can’t help but sin.”

“Sorry.”

“Don’t be. It is worth it” he smiled. But it wasn’t one of those smirks he liked giving me when he was being cheeky. This was different. This was an honest smile, though there was something else there…

“Rúben!” Julia said, running into my room and throwing herself at him. “Why are you here? Are we watching "Frozen" again?”

“Oh, hello” Lucy said from the door. “Didn’t know we had company.”

“I was just helping with the move.”

“One of my suitcases exploded in the hallway” I explained. “Anyway, why are you here? Weren’t you going to the park?”

“We were” Lucy said. “But Julia saw the lights of the Christmas market, wanted us to go there, and I had forgotten my wallet. That’s why we came back.”

“Do you want to come with us?” Julia asked. “We are going to buy decorations for the tree.”

“Oh, yes, come with us! We can have like a welcome party there and get ourselves some hot chocolate. Do you drink hot chocolate, Rúben?” Lucy asked, making us laugh. “Why is that funny? Am I missing something?”

“Nothing, don’t worry” Rúben said. “But I like the idea of the welcome party. I’m in.”

“Then it is settled. It’s three against one, and we can’t have a welcome party without the main guest. Get a scarf and a hat, it is cold” Lucy said, not giving me a chance to complain.

Some super stray thoughts I had while reading STCO so far:

Knuckles would NOT prioritize his past over Tikal’s suffering are you crazy in the head!!!!

Zak Simond-Hurn’s art is really charming, if it wasn't for the digital onomatopoeias, I wouldn’t mind having this style by a base for an official sonic comic! The design for the red echidna villain however… HM. Not pleasing to the eye.

I like that Ebony are having a bigger role on the fist few issues! But also Ebony’s constantly referring to Super as his friend and doing things to bring him back. Like I get it but also is this going to be her only trait now? Girl��

And porker is going on adventures again. Actually I don’t think they ever explained why Porker went back to being more adventurous in the og comic, participating in Chaos defeat and all. Not against it, and I like to see he still has a bit of bite and wasn't reduced to only a coward, tho it would’ve been cool to see at least a comment on how hes back on “adventuring”.

It’s cool to see Amy dealing with grief over Jhonny (I’ve given up trying to write his name correctly, too weird for me), but IDK. Amy probably was the best grounded character in that situation, so it feels weird to see her distressed over it? I don’t know how to explain it but in my eyes, Amy’s grief for Jhonny would definitively be more melancholic than scary/guilty. I’m glad they are trying to flesh out Amy more, but it doesn’t feel very cohesive with the comic to me. And Jhonny-zombie the killer… a bit tacky but in a funny way.

WHO…. Designed Vichama. I just want to talk. Tell me why you made him look that way. What is that. What went through your head. Dude. I get that Ebony has considerably more anthro body features than the other animal characters, but I feel like Vichama crosses the line into the “gross valley”. If he were drawn closer to how Zachary is I probably wouldn’t care, he probs would’ve looked like an Archie character. But the bulging muscles are kinda upsetting to look at. Cover up man.

So Shadow was created by some enemies of the echidnas. Noted.

Big and the Drakon prosecutor are actually really cute. I like them. Knuckles trying to break Ebony’s spell on Tikal is making me fume. HE WOULDN'T TRY TO DO THAT!!!!! He maybe would be a little desperate trying to trigger some memories but he wouldn't knowingly hurt someone to get information!!!! There is a pannel tho in this part of the comic that makes Knux ask “Where is Porker” and then “Where is the emeralds”. THAT is Knuckles to me, checking in on people before anything else.

Knuckles not being able to carry Big is bullshit. KNUCKLES PUNCHES ROCKS IN HALF LMAO. It’s fine I assume they need to be separated for a reason.

MMMMN. I like that Sonic is consistently arachnophobic. Really nice continuity. How he first met Shadow tho… It felt underwhelming? Like yeah we know they were going to meet some time but IDK. The framing/pacing is weird to me. Either have them meet quickly at the start of the issue and Sonic is like “IDK WHO that guy is but I don’t like him!!!” or have them meet at the end of the issue, but only show Shadow in shadow (lol) to hook to the next issue. Shadow’s bland ass “I am Shadow” has the same energy as two kindergartners introducing themselves first day of school.

Shadow’s personality is interesting tho. I like him being a bit cocky but not too much, it’s a good take on him, plus he bounces off Sonic pretty well. I do wonder what the hell they’re going to do with him tho.

Tikal being given more of a spotlight is neat. It doesn’t give her much, but it’s refreshing to see her thoughts and intentions. However, I can’t help but think that she was mainly inserted to aid Knuckles and be a well of angst. Like IDK, Knuckles has moments mourning his past, or wondering if he will ever understand his ancestors, and Tikal well… She sees things rather than feel? If that makes sense? Like in this comic she is able to see a bit of the past and think “wow this is horrible! Must be a nightmare!” but she doesn’t feel despair? Or anything much? The only moment so far she felt despair was to make Knux Angst, like “ooooh shes suffering so we need to wipe her memories, that means Knuckles wont have his backstories :(“. Smells fishy.

Oh wow, Shadow has an actually interesting backstory here. It gives a reason to follow Robotnik, hate Sonic, not give a shit, aaaand its ambiguous enough you can probably pull off whatever. Fucking congrats STCO writers.

Bro what’s with this Knuckles characterization. He would NOT be mean to Tikal. If anything he’d probably be a bit overbearing, trying to give attention to her even if she didn’t want it. I get trying to tie him living his whole life alone being overwhelmed and feeling frustrated that Tikal can’t give him answers, but he wouldn't treat her like crap what is this. I like Porker’s and Knux bro moment, but that doesn’t make up for treating Tikal badly for no reason. Where’s her catharsis? She’s probably just as confused and desperate as Knuckles but she doesn't get any of these moments. Sigh. This idea could’ve definitely worked if Tikal was pushier or more imposing, but like she doesn’t do much, so Knuckles just snaps and it feels off. Knuckles’s stories are probably the issues with the biggest potential, but the writers for sure squander him the most, whomp whomp.

“One of Sonic’s fears is seeing Amy settle down with someone else” no it isn’t shut the fuck up. And the fact they put this on the same level of fear as Jhonny death is deranged.

The tonal whiplash between character comics is p funny honestly. You’ll have one really serious comic followed by a comedic one, lil bit of a mood killer. I guess STC also did this, but to me it at least wasn't jarring like this. Like how am I supposed to process Big getting shot, after Knux and Tikal experiencing the worst nightmare of their lives, living the trauma of seeing million of dead echidnas, after Vector put angel island as a security fund for his ship LMAO.

These Shorty and Tekno comics…… I don’t know what it is about them but god. I just don’t like them! Firstly that now it seems they are a completely separated duo from the rest of the team. Like They don’t interact with Sonic or Amy or whatever. Secondly.. Shortfuse is TOO nice. It doesn’t feel like him where is his tantrums??? And this isn’t a diss on the artstyle itself, cause I think it looks pretty nice and cute, but I don’t think it’s really fitting for the characters? Tekno and Shorty look like they’re in a shoujo manga.

I really like how Sonic is now a loser LOL. He got canceled to hell and back.

Finally Rouge makes and appearance. Kinda only realized how little she showed up during the SA2 adaptation.

Grimer destroying Sonic’s reputation is actually kinda nice. I like that they acknowledge his Robotnik situationship depression, tho I think it’s a bit over the top have him be behind EVERYTHING. Still like it tho. Go gross boy go! (Also the art in this issue is REALLY solid, wow, Zak Simond-Hurn really is my favorite artist from the STCO group).

At some point I think I need to stop complaining about Knux’s characterization. But I Do Not Like How They Write My Boy. Doc Zach is still serving cunt so that’s great. Go grandpa go!

It’s kinda awesome to see how the issues expanded through STCO’s run, but I think having so many stories at the same time kinda makes stuff bloated. Like I’m sure I’ll forget some parts of this, even if they are short bits. Like do we really need to follow 2 sonic stories and 2 amy stories at the same time? I think it would’ve been better to pace this with a limit of 3-4 stories MAX per issue. And then once a character story is done, release the next story with the same character. Sonic and Knuckles are kinda always going to be there, having the biggest pull on the comic’s lore and story, so the other ones could cycle out between amy, tekno, shorty, tails, sonic’s world, chaotix, and so on. I haven’t read some of the other non-sonic stories like decap n attack, but those could be thrown in the cycle too!

Actually I love that DP is just hanging out in Big’s restaurant. It’s goofy I really love it.

I wonder how old Sonic’s gang is supposed to be here. Like in theory some years have passed in the comic, but how many. It’s not important at all but Amy is seen drinking wine with Chrysalis and it’s like?? Is she a kid?? Is she an adult?? Is she underage drinking? Again it’s not a big deal, and I don’t even think these characters need a specific age but IDK this was odd to me.

Oof the multiple stories at the same type problem came instantly. I like how Amy acknowledges the losses of the group, Sonic is “evil”, Jhonny is dead, Tekno is missing and stuff, Porker has PTSD and cant fight… But like. That feels so weird when you have a story right next to it with Amy and Tekno together!!! This is why the pacing and bloating feels whack, the comic has continuity with SOME of the stories but not all so its confusing. I know the OG comic had moments like these but because it had less stories per issue, it was way less noticeable, and usually were one-off stories I think.

And on the topic of Porker, I did mention before how he just kinda.. went back to being more adventurous? But know the comic insists that he can’t do it? Man this is kinda messy. I don’t mind Porker starting to become more adventurous again and then maybe regressing a bit in recovery, being too much for him, but it doesn’t feel like that is what it’s being intended here. It feels like someone read STC and maybe skimmed on STCO and then wrote this, so it feels out of place? Like you have porker in the first issue of STCO going on a mission no problems at all, but then on another issue he goes on a mission to blow up an eggman database or smth and hes freaking the fuck out being nervous all the time. Like which is it!!!!! I don’t mind him progressing and regressing on his trauma but at least acknowledge or be consistent with it! Is it because the underwater mission didn’t involve Robotnik? Is that it? Who knows.

I get that Knux and the crew planned to bait Zachary and shit, but like, then why did they act like that in the previous issue? Like the plan was to break the shield so why did Porker said to Knux be careful about it? Girl. This information is only given to bait and switch the audience and it doesn’t work. Porker and Knux have no reason to pretend to not have a plan when they are alone what.

Really liked the #250 issue (Tho its funny that I complained about the number of stories per issue, and then #250 has ONE story LOL)! It’s awesome to see the different arts from the varied artists on the STCO team. And even with my complains and whining, it’s an impressive project full of love, good to see stuff like this!

The art on this issue is great but some of the flow of the dialogue is off, as in, sometimes I don’t know which speech bubble I’m supposed to read next, cause usually you go left to right, but it seems this story follows top to bottom for speech bubbles and left to right to panel. Not awful but it did throw me off, and it does fuck up the pacing.

So yes I gained over 50 followers (now it’s over 60 since I woke up) which some might think that’s too little to celebrate. But if you put them all in one room I sure would panic from that so i say that is a big amount. Tbh I’m shocked because I only meant to drop some Rain fics since I wasn’t seeing enough and just dip. But we can all see that it has become more than that and now I write fics. I knew it would happen one of these days and it has. The story behind this is that I made a post on Reddit and it got a bunch of upvotes which was a shock. I basically asked why he stands so weird and everyone yelled that he serves cunt. Someone drew it out for me as well which is where I even thought of the quote. So I quickly drew him up cause i couldn’t stop thinking about it and yeah. And if you saw this on Reddit that means you also found my Reddit account. Not so fun fact I had a dream where I wrote a fanfic about him and people were eating it up. I fear it may come true with the things I’ve seen.

I take a writing class and this was part of my short story. The teeth are supposed to look fucked up like that which someone said grossed them out when they critiqued it lol. I do plan to slow down a little because I think it’s a lot for me. When I’m writing fanfics in my dreams that means I need to step away. I don’t want to burn myself out too early especially since part of my major is writing. Hopefully no one jumps me for wanting to slow down if I ever do. I’m a people pleaser I will literally walk on hot sand so y’all can wear my flip flops.

911 s1e2 Part 4 (previous part and part 1)

Poor girl, I feel for her 💔 She’s obviously hurting so much and mourning but she decided to track down this firefighter she was mean to (not without cause, ‘cause Buck was pretty tactless) to apologize. And also to explain the situation to him, I wonder if she noticed he was also feeling guilty about what happened

Okay this is really interesting. Because the therapy session ended when it did, Buck got to the heart of the problem but they didn’t really talk about how to move on. Realizing you have a problem and what exactly that is is just the first step, overcoming it is a completely different ball game. It doesn’t just come naturally!

But I like how they went about this: he struggled, talked to his friends (and a therapist) about his issue, listened to their perspectives and then took from them what he found most useful. Abby’s words clearly had the biggest impact on him and helped him the most (which makes sense because it was really good advice)

I also like that he made the biggest progress when talking to someone else who was struggling. Dealing with someone else’s fears and thoughts is much easier than dealing with our own. Seeing the sister feeling guilty for her brother’s death made him realize that there was nothing she could do which in turn meant there was nothing he could do

Mmmh I’m a bit torn on this one. On one hand I’m loving Carla’s energy and attitude and what she’s doing for Abby (taking her out, encouraging her, convincing her to call a cute guy), but on the other I’m not feeling this Abby-Buck thing at all. I can’t really put my finger on why tho

I also think Abby SHOULD think more about herself and have fun and go out with a guy if that’s what she wants, but does it have to be Buck?

I don’t know, I liked Buck’s kind words to Abby in the first episode and Abby’s advice to Buck and how that played out here but can’t we just leave it at that?

I think this feels like… how do I say this? If I were to ask the writers “where is this coming from, why is this happening?”, the answer would be “because we said so” and not a word more

I’ve barely seen them interact tho so maybe that will change… they’re not even together or going out so maybe I’m getting ahead of myself

This scene is so cute! I may not have liked the lead up but this scene was worth it.

Abby being so happy she had the nerve to call Buck regardless of his answer, Buck’s answer actually being mature and kind, Abby understanding the rejection with no drama… this is really really cute and a good message

I was meant to go into work today (only volunteering at a charity shop) But i got no sleep last night so i didn’t go 😔 went into town anyways with my mum to get some bits for the house, also got my dad a toblerone bc his birthday is soon!

i got him a wine bottle holder that’s in the shape of a car for his main gift (he wanted it i don’t get the appeal tho). He’s made a little man cave for himself at the house, made his own bar and a pool table that turns into a flat table to play ping pong on (it’s v cool) he also makes all his own wine now???? Not complaining tho, he’s got so many bottles it means i can steal one or two here and there without him noticing :P

Speaking of alcohol, I got invited to go to a party with my friends and their freinds this friday but i said my mum wouldn’t let me go bc i didn’t want to hang around a bunch of people i hardly know, get drunk, and then have to get either a bus home or call my mum whilst drunk and i didn’t want either of them :P

My ex-girlfriend (let’s call her H) has been msging me a lot recently, she wants to meet up in aug when she’s back from a holiday. I don’t reallyyyyyyy want to… I love her (as a friend now) but she’s been pretty rude to my bsf and her bf recently (my bsf ‘S’ Her bf ‘Al’). She told both sides that the other was $hing bc of being in a relationship and how ‘stressful’ it was. Although S has struggled w that before and currently, she was not doing so bc of a relationship, and Al doesn’t and hasn’t????? H is just such a liar honestly, it’s been the same since we first met, she’ll just make shit up: one example of this was when we were in yr9, she told me that a girl in our yr had called me ‘fat and ugly’ so she punched this girl in the face (in front of other people), gave her a black eye, and told her to go to the nurse and say that she’d just walked into a door or fallen over or smth.

Reasons i know this is fake/a fat lie:

1. She supposedly did it in front of others, if this was the case it would be a big thing, my whole yr were pretty close at the time so this story would’ve spread quickly. I never heard anything about it happening.

2. H would not tell me who it was. I was genuinely upset and surprised that someone had said that abt me, and wanted to know who had said that so i could either confront them or just stay clear away from them. She made it into some sort of game, where i had to guess who it was who’d said it. This upset me even more so she told me it was sm1 who i went to primary with. For the rest of the week i scouted out every single person at that school who went to the same primary as me to see if anyone had a black eye or looked injured but no one did.

3. When i asked H about it more recently she told me it was this girl called ‘T’ …. i hadn’t spoken to T since at least yr3 and had never interacted with her in secondary school, why she would care abt what i looked like makes no sense… H also supposedly had a crush on T during yr10, why she would have a crush on a girl she punched in the face i have no idea…

So i doubt that really happened. She also just lies about little stupid things, the sports she plays, the careers she has/had, Apparently she was supposed to play Enid Bingham (the emo one) from stranger things but she turned the roll down bc of school (she would’ve been 11/12 at the time of casting, enid is supposed to be 16/17) (maybe, idk but a lot older than 12) and supposedly she’s been in tons of films and shows but she just doesn’t want to tell anyone what she’s been in…. sureeeee

You should see some of the shit she sends me jesus christ, all of that soppy shit on tt like the ‘This is how i see you’ slideshows that are art pieces, don’t get me wrong it was cute when we were dating, but now that we’re not i find it kinda weird. i should tell her but knowing her she would cause some shite bc of it.

Recently she blocked everyone on our gc for ‘no reason’, S then asked on this gc ‘So you blocked us and made us upset and worried for you for ‘no reason’?’ she got PISSED at this ( copy and pasted from the gc)

(Quick lore dump of me and H’s friend/relationship)

- i had a fat crush on her in yr9 and so did she but we never said anything

- She then dated my bsf and i felt v awkward abt being around them both

- Yr 10 a mutual ‘Friend’ drove us apart

- End of yr10, this ‘Friend’ was a pos who ‘Exiled’ (their words not mine) me and my friend (we’ll call her ‘K’) from our friend group for not hanging out with M (the ‘friend’ for less than 3 days…)

-end of yr 10 Me and H are friends again ‼️‼️‼️

- (yr 11) At S’s house for a sleepover, both drunk and during truth or dare she gets asked by sm1 ‘what’s the longest you’ve ever had a crush on sm1?’ She says just under 3yrs. How long had we been friends? Just under 3 yrs, coinky dink i think not.

- One thursday i do drugs for the first time (in school ik please don’t judge i was going through it) I feel like shit all day, passing out being sick ect but refuse to go home. Next day i stay off bc im coming down and still feel like shit. Sat morning i get a big confession text from her ‘i’ve liked you forever i feel bad hiding it from you i don’t like lying to you’ (but she does…. so often…) later that month we’re dating. It’s awkward. It’s horrible. She never talks to me in person and always avoids me which takes skill bc we go to the same school and are in a lot of the same lessons so???? She wants a ‘break’ bc GCSEs will be stressful, i say ‘let’s just break up then’ bc i was pissed at her for doing it over text rather than to my face, a few gcse’s later me and S are walking around town after an exam and she tells me ‘H really wants to ask you out again and is just wating for exams to be over’ I say ‘ew’ i msg her saying ‘i don’t want to be in a relationship with you again, im saying this now so i don’t have to potentially turn you down face to face in the future’

She says okay i’ll stop

She doesn’t, she keeps on being flirty sending me texts about how much she loves me or misses me (it’s so much worse if she gets drunk) and i try my best to let her down gently each time but she never seems to get the hint.

underutilized sorry. sooo much more could’ve been said could have been done et cetera. the ramifications of the divine luck are underused his coming back in sdra2 was underused etc etc. there’s sooo much that could be said with him and it’s so easy to do it is the smallest fucking reach and linuj is like. this is utsuro he is like kamakura but with divine luck :). and everyone was like omg so true!! and he’s reduced down and isn’t handled with actual depth. like. there’s Reasons for why he is the way he is. aaa!

- The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

system. for utsuro specifically i think he struggles a lot with detachment and has frequent dissociative episodes. he’s not quite prone to third person/out of body episodes but i think he struggles with orienting himself in the world (spatial awareness) and staying aware of his surroundings.

cute! sometimes it looks a bit off to me but i think that’s just a matter of hues/undertones. i reaaaally like his color palette in sdra2, it hits right there. i’ll always think the color choices of the uniform were a bit silly but ultimately it looks cute!! in dra it’s just a weird mix of warm hues vs gray undertones (this applies to like.. skin and hair not just clothes) but sdra2 looks very nice!!!

hoo okay I can already tell this is gonna be long but manga thoughts!! i only read up to roughly 150 I think (Also hi hi I’m off anon! anxiety has been overcome >D<)

quick lil context of me even getting into this also! so my roomie and I have a tradition of watching really bad animes during finals weeks and this time my rookie suggested we watched black butler 2 (still so funny it’s just 2 not season two not book of ___ no. just two. Peak comedy) first half of that was laughably bad and then like ep 7 onward it was frustratingly good. Some bizarre pacing some bizzare writing choices but I liked it overall. anyways over winter break out of nowhere I got manga spoilers on my tiktok for Agni’s death and. It emotionally devastated me bc I loved him sm bc of the like one ep in 2 where he appeared. i told my roomie that and we decided to like actually watch the good parts of the anime so I could get a taste of the actual plot (and eventually we watched s1 lmao)

so yeah that bit didn’t impact me as much when I actually read it but 😭 Agni I miss you dearly you’re like one of the only people I’d trust to hold my drink in this series I KNOW you would take care of it and not spill anything. Also, I read the entire (post campania) manga while procrastinating studying for my organic chemistry exam bc chemistry is a pain in the ass and I didn’t want to look at it

Other arcs. so the school arc has some BIZARRE pacing- (and i never got used to the just casually dropping the F word even if it was used iba like historical context) I was half skimming some of the pages bc I thought it was gonna be basically a fluff filler arc so that end caught me off guard- deffo enjoyed the soma content though! i sure hope he stays happy and nothing awful happens to make him stop smiling! hahah fuck.

Emerald witch arc is kinda funny to me. like yeah, okay queen of England, send this 13 (14?? I forgor) year old child to a different country to deal with werewolves. this isn’t even ur country girly what. Wolf and miss sullivan (can’t spell her first name) r fun characters I like their addition a lot. Could’ve done without the uh. weird scenes with sullivan but. whatever. (The scenes with finny taking care of ciel also were so sweet Omg I will cry- finny is probably one of my top 5 charas I love himmmmm he scares me tho )

that being said I fuckcking RECOGNIZED that shit was chemicals as soon as I saw that circle thing oh my FuckKING GOD. I literally put down my phone and stopped reading for a good while. I haven’t talked much about dead city for the last couple weeks, but here’s some thoughts on tonight’s episode all in one place instead of making separate posts as we go. As usual, spoilers ahead:

SAVIOR NEGAN MY BELOVED. Legit got emotional seeing Lucille again. Savior Negan’s mustache hurts my soul a little but idc he still looks Good. but also gives the possibility of him and Simon having semi-matching mustaches at one point which is extremely funny

Negan designing the walker fence, maybe? That’s kind of what that looked like. If it was, then the walker fence was a relatively new thing when we saw it in the main show, since he already has the Kingdom working for him at this point.

Good to see Simon’s arms have doubled in size since we last saw him, jfc. But seriously, I had the Simon cameo spoiled a while ago but it was so cool to see him again

Hmmm maybe I should let y’all know about the random ass dream I had last night. It was weird.

Context: this random aah shit popped up in my yt shorts right before I went to sleep. It jumpscared me and I cannot for the life of me fathom what insanity led the algorithm to summon my demons from my past. Why is Jace peeking. Why.

So of course my brain decided to make the shafowhunters main characters in my dream. But it can’t be in a NORMAL way, oh no no no. Instead, I am graced in my sleep by the following insanity, as any good dream must not make sense according to the laws of the universe.

We open in DC. How do I know it’s DC (as in Washington DC, the capital of the US)? You fool, this is a dream and nothing makes sense and questions are forbidden. It looks nothing like dc, but it is dc and that’s all you need to know because that’s all I knew and just like me you must accept this fact. I was with my godsister, who is a year younger than me (this is important), and Sirius black from TERF BOOKS fame in his dog animacy’s form. However, in this dream he is simply a normal dog who I knew was also Sirius black and those two things coexisted and yes this makes sense because it’s a dream don’t overthink it.

Back to the dream. We are in DC. We are at a river, and there is a concrete staircase up to an overlook with no fence that drops off in a sharp cliff into the river. There is a no-dogs sign. My godsister wants to go up there. I don’t want to because Sirius is a dog and there’s a no dogs sign. My godsister goes up anyway, and like the good older gos sibling I am I sign and follow her ao she doesn’t fall into the river and hope we don’t get arrested. We read the top and we start taking photos of the river and I see a tiny bunny the size of half my palm (and which also looks suspiciously like if a half-transparent lavender coloured Peep (the marshmallow Easter treat) was just a bit more anatomically correct) sitting on the bank of the river opposite us and suddenly it starts racing across the river and it’s so light and so fast that it literally runs on the water without falling in until it reaches the other side. It’s very cute.

You may be wondering, Kit, where are the shadowhunters? I’m getting there.

So I point this out to my godsister, because it’s adorable, and suddenly I fall off the outlook.

I am transported to another universe. I am suddenly transformed into a stereotypical Jungle Fantasy Movie Powerful Hot Lady (think the token girl in the 2016 jumanji movie who also played that robot chick in the guardians of the galaxy movies but make her more buff). I am in a jungle full of dinosaurs but they’re mostly friendly. Also my godsister is there but now she’s my bio sister despite me being an only child irl and there’s no explanation for any of these changes. Also now my mom’s there too and Sirius is gone and my mom looks nothing like nor does she act like my irl mom but I Knew She Was My Mom, because dreams.

But enough exposition. I’m in a new universe and I befriend an Anklyosaurus. I know I gave him a name but I do not remember what that name was. I’m deeply sorry for that. I’d assume it was something silly like Timmy but dreams are weird so I can’t guarantee that. For all I know he had a professional magicky name like Horus or Archibald. Anyway, back to the story.

The As Of Now Unnamed Anklyosaurus Friend (let’s call him Friend, for short) kills the Lightwood siblings, who are there too for some reason. Not the youngest one tho, he wasn’t important enough to be in my dream.

Moving on, I meet a Grand Wizard, who isn’t Magnus becuase he also wasn’t present despite my brain deciding I needed a Grand Wizard which I personally find very funny. Also I ride Friend around using a saddle which spawned in once I befriended him earlier, because that’s cool.

The grand wizard implies he’s the reason I’m here now but doesn’t tell me why and then he disappears in a puff of colour full smoke after pointing me in the direction of my now-sister and mother.

I meet them under a tree. They now live in a minifridge. My sister has fallen in love with a foam block. It’s sentient. No, I do not know why.

I go on an adventure and explore some before going back to my sister and mother and the foam block (it’s a greenish grey colour by the way) in their mini fridge house. My sister reveals she and her foam block boyfriend now have a goat child. It’s biological, I don’t know how I know that, and I do not know how it happened or why and I certainly don’t know why my brain has inflicted this upon me.

But, alas, it’s happened and I must be supportive of my sister and her foam block and goat family because I love her.

Jace and clary appear. They insult my sister and her family. This is a grave offense, I punch Jace in the face (haha rhymes) and challenge them both to an honour duel. We walk down the dirt path though the jungle mc Friend beside me, and arrive at a menacing spiked wooden log gate to the arena in which I shall duel them.

And then I wake up. I am deeply offended that my alarm went off before I could fight Jace and clary to the death with the help of Friend, but alas, it was not meant to be.

Now, I have always had very vivid and strange dreams. My mom says it’s our Native American heritage, but I think it’s probably the drugs I have to take to sleep and stay emotionally stable combined with my awful sleeping habits. However, this dream was particularly odd even for me.

I’m not sure how to end this post. But I guess that sentence should be good enough.

concluding thought: i think there’s so muc wasted potential here and yeah ends pretty disappointing :( positive (singular), ncuti is great, he has so much charisma and confident and is so joyous to watch. he seems like he’ll be perfect for the doctor and particularly a fresher take on the doctor. okay negatives, the ending is underwhelming and borderline patronising. bewildering that rtd thought that playing a game of catch and the toymaker simply misses the ball makes for a thrilling conclusion 🙄 the bigeneration is super silly and unnecessary. there’s no reason for it other than to wank off a certain doctor. the spilt means 14 still is the main protag of the episodes and 15 becomes a side character and a second thought. not to mention all the icky tropes 15 endures similar to the fugitive doctor. ncuti and jo deserve better. repeating the ending of journeys end is even more frustrating in that russell has literally done this plot before. also repeating other elements is lazy writing but at least it’s only his writing he’s plagiarising this time(!) annoying there no real plot reason that the ‘old face comes back’ and the insinuated reason is because of Trauma™️ which we’ve only address this episode. idk to say this changes regen lore of not being able to change back into an old face as written by russell himself is frustrating, again if we’re making lore please at least make them good and not waste everyone’s time. it would have been so easy and simple to attribute this to the toymaker but no, dt gets another go at being the doctor because… fuck everyone else that’s why. the specials overall certainly did not feel like a celebration of a breadth of dw’s history and felt more like simply stroking a certain person’s ego. im sure another story could have been written. imo ncuti could have helmed the special(s) himself with other elements added to pay homage to the show. despite this seemly being an unpopular opinion i do think ncuti has been done down in his regeneration and now has to continually talk about dt in his press run instead of being able to talk about himself and his doctor. other points being that donna doesn’t really do anything to contribute and just follows the doctor around and mel is… here. big ch*bnall companions vibes 🙃 i don’t know if i have any more energy to waste on this episode but i least i don’t have to watch it again. 4/10
