Billy Lenz

*slaps him like the hood of a car* “do you know how much autism you can fit in here?”

Billy struggles with loud noises especially repetitive ones. He often holds the phone far away from his ear when calling the sorority because he can’t stand the call tone. please get him some headphones or ear defenders

Despite this he enjoys making a lot of noise through vocal stimming/echolalia, picking up on words or phrases he hears from you or the others at the sorority. He usually has a record playing to keep him from getting under-stimulated, though this can be a delicate balance because sometimes it helps and sometimes it’s too much and annoys him.

Billy is hyper verbal (this may be more of an adhd thing I’m unsure) he has so many thoughts he needs to voice to the point where it feels like he’s going to explode if he doesn’t get them out audibly. He does struggle knowing when it’s his turn to talk though so he may accidentally talk over you.

Billy tends to get along with animals better, connecting to them just feels easier and more natural. He loves to hang out with Claude and rub his face against his fur.

Billy often throws and breaks things during meltdowns, doing it in the heat of the moment and regretting it later if it was something he cared about. Please reassure him it’s not his fault and help him clean it up/ fix it when he feels ready to be around people again.

Bubba sawyer

Bubba stims in a lot of ways. Flapping his hands in excitement and doing little dances. I think She would play with the charms on her bracelet she took from Pam when they don’t feel safe to openly stim, say he’s in public somewhere he’s not familiar with or dealing with victims.

They have a habit of hitting their head with their fists during meltdowns and pacing (as seen in the og movie when she’s upset about the victims breaking in when no one’s home)

Bubba is also hyper empathetic, other peoples emotions have a big effect on them, sometimes making it hard to settle when their family is distraught.

Non verbal- speaking feels unnatural and straining for her, her family have never pushed him to talk since it’s clear it’s uncomfortable so she’s happy to communicate via noises and body language. Communication cards may be helpful for when more complex answers are needed.

Loud noises aren’t really a problem for her since he’s running around with a loud ass chainsaw all day but it can become grating after a long day if they’re overstimulated already, they’ll push through it and get the task done but he’ll need some time alone in his room to recuperate after.

Doesn’t leave the house super often, they’re much comfier to be home around people they know. She does occasionally go shopping with Drayton and their siblings but it’s very taxing on her because of all the stimuli so it’s not super often.

Michael Myers

I think he’d have a very specific pallet, not liking inconsistencies in its foods and preferring to stick to the stuff it knows it likes. he has such a sweet tooth and eats a bunch of candy. It likes the texture differences in different kinds of sweets, jelly is a particularly good one. Mikey eats a lot of grilled cheese to, it’s mum used to make it for him a lot as a kid and it’s a staple safe food for him. He likes his food bland and beige (me to mikey)

Very specific about his clothing, labels are an absolute no go and need to be cut out. He only likes to wear one brand of coveralls because they’re the only ones it feels sits right without making him want to crawl out of his skin. So basically its wardrobe is just a bunch of the same brand coveralls. (Like SpongeBob with his identical wardrobe lol)

Non verbal through choice, mikey can talk but finds it uncomfortable to do so it usually doesn’t. If he really needs to get something across that he can’t then it’ll use sign.

Low empathy, Michael feels empathy for people close to him like his mother or you but not for others. He doesn’t really understand why he should care about people unimportant to him.

It’s part of Michael’s routine for you to go to bed together at the same time, it gets gradually more antsy the longer you stay up over bedtime. Eventually if he deems what you’re doing not worthy of staying up for he’ll just pull you away from it and carry you to bed. It also sleeps in a specific position, he has the whole bed to sleep in but prefers to curl up in the same way he did back at smiths grove, apart from there he didn’t have a choice. If you’re asleep and splayed out Michael would rather sleep on the sofa so he can be in its comfy position. He also probably won’t touch you if your wearing pyjamas with a bad texture, brushed cotton is a no and he won’t be cuddling you unless you’re in a safe textured set.

Doesn’t like eye contact much, he feels more comfortable in looking at peoples face if it’s wearing a mask, it’s less intimate and awkward.

Brahms Heelshire

Brahms can go from very clingy to not wanting to be touched very quickly. He adores being attached to you anyway he can, like cuddling you from behind when cooking or wrapping himself around you in bed. Despite this Brahms can get overwhelmed with touch sometimes, the feeling of ‘to much’ buzzing under his skin. If this is the case then he’ll likely need time to himself back in the walls.

Brahms likes everything to be on schedule and to follow the rules. Like we see in the movies he gets upset when his rules are ignored since it throws of his routine and schedule. If you need to do anything extra or take something off the schedule please let him know in advance so he has time to process it.

Low empathy but only for people not super close to him. He understands how he’s expected to react socially to peoples problems/pain and can show it through masking but it’s purely because he thinks it’s what he has to do.

The walls are a safe space for him. His room was the place he felt calmest after what happened with his parents, its decorated to his taste and dimly lit as not to hurt his eyes. His room has everything he needs within close distance so if he’s feeling low on spoons then the fridge is only a few steps away. Plenty of blankets for pressure/burying himself into.

Also we can’t ignore the fact he literally masks with his porcelain doll mask lol

I think Brahms would use too much eye contact as opposed to none, he was taught it was polite in his lessons as a boy and took it slightly to literally. He loves to stare at you affectionately < 3

Asa emory

Special interest in bugs and entomology! I headcanon that he mostly became a professor so he can info dump about his special interests all day to his hearts content. He can get frustrated quickly if he feels he’s not being listened to.

(Ignoring the shitty enclosures in the collector bc I say so) I think proper husbandry would be important to him, he researches for days before he feels comfortable setting up a home for his specimens. If he’s feeling overwhelmed he likes to sit with his bug enclosures, watching over them and rocking himself.

Asa connects to his bugs more, finding them easier to understand , bugs tend to have more readable body language so it’s easier to tell when they want to be left alone without pressing to far. A person may say they’re not upset but are only hiding it to be polite. A tarantula will bare its fangs and let you know when it’s had enough.

Asa is very precise in his traps, planning them thoroughly before assembling, however he can get overwhelmed and upset say if a wire snaps repeatedly or the trap won’t work as it’s supposed to. He can feel himself boiling over and will abruptly stand from him chair, taking himself over to his bug collection to distract himself and hopefully avoid a meltdown.

Since I said before that Leo (Rise) and Danny would get along, I feel like either Timmy or Spongebob would get along with 2012 Mikey. Mikey could teach Timmy some video game tricks and pranks and Spongebob could learn some of his ninja moves + them cooking together as well.

I feel like they start off as scared but then they get angry at it and try to fight the "ghost". Mikey nearly gets yanked through the window when they grab it but the others manage to grab him before. Then for years later Pah and Peh tell the story of the one time they beat that ghost.

Rediscovering "The Mighty B!"

During a late night browse on Paramount+, I rediscovered a somewhat familiar little cartoon about an over-zealous girl in my recommended shows. It was next to a ton of cartoons, some familiar, some not so familiar, as I think I am a bit old for "The Loud House" at 22, I didn't grow up with it, but I love looking back at this quirky little cartoon I fondly remember. I wouldn't exactly categorize The Mighty B! alongside shows like Kappa Mikey and even the weird little cgi toon, Robot & Monster. Probably because I actually remember waching this show, albeit vaguely, during the actual DAYTIME hours on the home channel Nickelodeon, rather than sister channel Nicktoons, where cartoons that were not quite Spongebob go to die. Basically the hospice for cancelled and soon to be cancelled cartoons. Hell, I even remember playing many of the flash games for the show.

Upon my rewatch, I felt her voice sounded so familiar to me as an adult. The main characater, Bessie Higgginbottom is actually voiced by the great Amy Poehler! Complete with a lisp and all, Amy's quirkiness she invokved in the character is very fitting for this weird little cartoon. It is a shame is only lasted 2 seasons, as I feel it deserved atleast one more, but then again I am surprised it even lasted that long. 2008 Nickelodeon was very cuttthroat if you didn't hold a candle to the yellow sea sponge, and this is years before the network tried to rival Cartoon Network with random humor garbage such as Sanjay & Craig. Amy Poehler was also a producer for the show, citing she wanted a girl-lead cartoon. Bessie is not a small child, but still not quite yet a tween, and is oblivious to the somewhat harsh world around her, however in a very cute way. At the end of the day she is a quirky little determined girl regularly going on quirky adventures, hoping to collect all the badges for her Honey Bee troop, as she thinks she will transform into "The Mighty B!" a bee themed superhero with super strength, complete with a tight bee costume. While having staff from other shows such as Spongebob & The Fairly Odd Parents, I'd say there really is nothing like it, or atleast there wasn't at the time. Hell, I'd even say I get more humor and enjoyment ouf ot this quirky show than I did as a child!

Behind The Scenes - Chapter 3: Changes

Rose was sitting on the couch with Steven watching SpongeBob Squarepants, and Greg was listening to the raido at the minibar.

“And we're back! make sure to dial our station’s number, so you and five other lucky people can see LINKIN PARK live in Madison Square Garden on July 1st and you will all have backstage passes to meet LINKIN PARK themselves!” Greg dialed the number as fast as he could and called him.

“Hey, your listening to ROCK 195.7 Deleware’s hottest station for all things Rock! what is your name, man?”

“Greg Universe.” The raido host did a double take, to make sure that he wasn’t hearing things. The fact that the male was talking to THE Mr. Universe.

“Well, Mr. Universe, you have won yourself and six other people to go see LINKIN PARK LIVE in Maddison Square Garden, congratulations!”

Greg jumped up and pumped his fist in the air. “YES!” Steven and Rose looked up from the TV and to the man. “Guys!” he said.

“What’s up, Greg?” Rose asked her husband, Greg grabbed her and kissed her cheek. “We are going to see LINKIN PARK!” Greg said, Steven jumped up and hugged his dad.

“No way! you won them?” Steven asked. Greg smiled and nodded, he was excited to take his wife and son to this concert.

“When is it?”

“On July first,” Greg said. Rose smiled and kissed her husband again. “I can’t wait!” her eyes had stars in them, Greg chuckled at his wife and smiled.

“Me too, mom! I hope we meet Chester Bennington.” Steven said.

“I think we are, Steven. These are backstage passes. All I have to do is email them our address.”

“Oh, for the passes?” Rose asked. Greg nodded and took his laptop that was on the couch, opened it, and emailed the station their address so he could get the backstage passes.

Steven was excited to go to New York, the only state he visited was California to see his mother’s team members or his grandparents from his mom’s or dad’s sides or all three. Rose was excited to see her favorite band play LIVE and with her husband. She fell in love with their music when they started dating.

Steven was also excited to see them. He grew up on the band and other bands too. Like Lifehouse, which is another one of their favorite bands. The song, You and Me was played on their wedding day. Steven looked at the picture of them on their day on the wall.

Greg had a suit and tie on, and Rose had a large white dress with a star where her navel was so her gem was showing. (like the dress she wore for the gem war) Greg was holding their son for the picture, their son was only a year old in the picture. Greg stared at the picture also, They were the perfect family.

Steven continued to watch SpongeBob, but Rose tapped him on the shoulder.

“Steven, we can invite your friends, Lucas, Lance, and Mikey.” Steven’s eyes lit up as he smiled widely. “Really? thanks, guys, you guys are awesome!” he said, hugging both of them. Greg put a hand on his hair, Rose kissed his cheek and they both smiled at their son.

Steven was at an indoor basketball court with Lucas, Mikey, and Lance the next day, Steven was making some buckets while talking with them.

“So, your dad won backstage passes to see LINKIN PARK Live in Maddison Square Garden?” Lance asked. Steven smiles.

“Yeah! We’re going on July first! which is next week! then maybe we can see my mom’s teammates that live there.” Steven said, shooting the ball with all his power into the hoop and making it.

“Maybe that’ll be a cool idea,” Lance said.

“I heard stories about your mom’s teammates,” Lucas said, undoing his tied-up dreads and putting them back up into a ponytail.

“Yeah! they're awesome! there’s Garnet. She was the muscle, Pearl was like the strategist and the second in command of the group, and there’s Ameythest, she’s like the reinforcements. I think Pearl had a thing with my mom before meeting and marrying my dad. I don’t know, I want to ask her but, at the same time, I don’t” he said. The three boys look at Rose shooting around, Steven looks at her fly up and dunk it.

“Was she in the WNBA before meeting your dad?” Lance asked. Steven looked in confusion at his friends.

“No, just a commander for the rebellion,” Steven told them, as he passed the basketball to Lance, Lacne shot it into the basket.

“Oh, Steven,” Lucas said.

Steven looks and nods. “I hadn’t told you this or you guys but… My parents and I are moving to LA. My dad got a job offer at Cartoon Network’s studio.”

“Awesome!” Steven’s eyes lit up into the shapes of stars, But then, he became sad.

“Wait… This means that you’ll move forever and we won’t be able to see each other anymore…”

Rose turned her head and overheard the boys talking.

Rose then approached them talking, Rose touched Steven’s shoulder. The hybrid looked at his mom, then back at Lucas. Lucas was shocked about the news also. “When did he tell you?” Steven asked.

“Last night.” there was a pause. “You know how he was looking for a new job for a while now? Well, he found a job that pays great, and his parents live in LA, so, instead of seeing them twice a year, I can see them all the time now. We're moving in the middle of July.”

“Congrats, Lucas!” Rose said Steven put on a smile for a friend, but inside he was hurting. Steven wanted to do nothing but go and hide in his room. But, at the same time. Steven wants to make the last few days with his friends as memorable as possible.

Steven was in his father’s van with his mother, Steven was going to a sleepover at Lucas’ house, he also brought his bathing suit, so he could go swimming, Steven was excited to sleep over at his house and have fun with his friends.

Steven saw two other cars lined up by the driveway, Rose parked her husband’s van, and Steven undid the seatbelt, grabbed his pink backpack, opened the door, and got out.

Rose killed the engine and walked with him to the door, Steven knocked on the door and Jasmine opened it. She was holding a cat, it has classic tabby traits with its prominent stripes and the recognizable 'M' marking on its forehead. Its eyes are alert and focused on the two people standing by the door, conveying a sense of curiosity or attentiveness. The cat was lying in Jasmine’s arms.

Steven gasped and his eyes lit up, stars in his pupils, Rose had the same expression on her face as well.

“Can I pet him?” Rose and Steven both said at the same time. Jamiene smiled and giggled.

“Come inside first.” Jasmine went inside the house with the cat. “What’s his or her name?” Rose asked.

“Oh, we named her Diamond,” she said.

“Aren’t you just the most precious cat I have ever seen in my life!” Rose said, petting her fur, her fingers went into it, leaving little marks where she petted her. Steven took his hand and petted the cat’s back as well. “She’s so soft!” he whispered, turning to his mother. Rose grinned and giggled at her son. He loved cats as much as she did.

“Alright, Steven. I’m going to go now, bye.” Rose said, kissing Steven’s cheek. Steven smiled, watched her leave, and looked around the room.

“Hey, Jasmine? where’s Lucas?”

“Oh, Lucas should be up in his room,” she said. Steven walked up the stairs and went to his room, Steven opened the door and saw Lucas drawing. “Hey, Lucas,” Steven said.

Lucas turned his head and put his pencil down, he stood up and hugged Steven, and Steven smiled.

“Lucas, did you get a cat?”

“I did, we adopted her today.” he smiled, and Steven nodded. “I want a cat. And I think my mom wants one too, we are huge cat people.”

“What about your dad?” Lucas asked.

“He is too, we're thinking about adopting.”

“You should, this cat changed my life.” Lucas smiled as his cat entered the room and jumped on his bed. Steven climbed on the bed and stared at his cat.

“She is adorable,” he said, smiling. Lucas went to his closet and grabbed his bathing suit.

“I’m going to change,” Lucas said, going to the bathroom, Steven went to use the guest bathroom to change also, he took off his clothes and changed, He looked at his gem and thought to himself. I wonder when will I grow… I’m sick of being so small all the time.

Steven walked out of the guest bathroom and walked back to Lucas’ room, he dug into his backpack, which was on the hardwood floor, and found a bottle of sunscreen that his mom had packed him. She also packed him extra clothes and underpants.

He jumped into the pool as Drake was playing on the stereo system in the house that was connected to the speakers. Jasmine bought a Drake CD called ’So Far Gone' a few weeks ago, and she and her husband listen to him in the car.

“Lucas! let’s race!”

Both Steven and Lucas went to the edge of the pool Steven put his feet on the wall and Lucas counted down.

“Five…Four…Three…Two…One…GO!” Steven and Lucas both swam to the edge, and Lucas won. He surfaced and looked for Steven but didn’t find him.

“Steven!” He said, looking around. “Steven!” he said panicking this time, dunking his head back under the water, Steven was not moving, he was lying there motionless under the water, Lucas resurfaced and took a deep breath, he swam towards him and grabbed him, Lucas kicked his legs and walked up the steps, out of the pool and set him on the tile flooring.

“Steven!” Lucas shook his shoulder but nothing was happening. “MOMMA!” Lucas calls out to Jasmine, Jasmine opens the door, she has a kitchen towel in her hands. “I’m making you guys some - OH MY, STEVEN!”Jasmine rushed over. Lucas looked like he was about to burst into tears.

“How did this happen?”Jasmine asked her son.

“We were racing, and then Steven drowned!”

Thankfully, Jasmine was an EMT, so she knew what to do. She put her hands on his chest, her left one horizontally and her right one vertically, and she started chest compressions. Lucas watched his mom, for what felt like forever. Then, Steven’s eyes shot open, and he sat up and started coughing violently Jasmine rubbed his back as his coughing died down. Steven looks at her and hugs her. “Thanks, Jasmine.” The hybrid said. Jasmine smiles and nods.

Steven and Lucas were at the table, eating fried chicken that she made herself, SpongeBob was playing on Nickelodeon.

“I wonder how SpongeBob likes working for Nickelodeon,” Lucas said, dipping his tender into a cup of ranch dressing.

“I think he loves it, like look how happy he is when he’s working on the show,” Jasmine said, getting into the conversation that the boys were having too.

“I think that he does,” Lucas said.

“Hey, Jasmine. Can I have more water?” Steven asked. Jasmine nodded and she grabbed his glass and filled it with water from the water dispenser. She placed it near Steven. Steven smiles and continues watching the show.

“Woah! This is your game room?” Steven asked, looking around. The room was covered in hardwood floors as well as the rest of the house, Arcde machines were lined up on the walls such as Super Mario, Pac Man, and others, Steven saw a pool and foosball table in the middle of the room, A PlayStation 3 was sitting on the TV with a big screen TV sitting on the floor. A black couch was facing it, Steven looked at the games. He saw that they had Call Of Duty World At War, Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, and others. Steven pulled out the game that he wanted to play ejected the disc that was inside and put the one that he wanted to play inside.

Lucas switched it to the right input and they played.

Lucas and Steven went to bed in Lucas’ room, Diamond was lying in between both human and hybrid. Steven closed his eyes and went to sleep.

ok still not able to draw turts rn but i am gettin a bit of th fixation back so heres some rise headcanons;

donnie is average at best at video games but will play them for hours (the purple game was designed for him so im gonna say that it was specifically designed so he could beat it) meanwhile leo is cracked at games but will get distracted and switch between like 8 games within half an hour

mikey will often serve food for his brothers at different stages during the cooking process to accommodate their sensory issues and allergies, raph and him are usually the only ones who eat the "fully completed" recipe

raph hates cooked vegetables and thinks all vegetables should be crunchy as god intended. he has also eaten an entire watermelon in one bite before (with great difficulty)

leo and donnie convinced mikey that freddy fazbear was real when they were little but splinter made them apologize after mikey had a nightmare abt him appearing in the sewers and cried to raph abt it. donnie initially refused to apologize because "thats stupid the water down here would mess up his circuits" but mikey cried again and he felt rlly bad abt it

leo got into medicine because of april, one time when they were kids playing in the sewers she fell and scraped her knee and since she was like idk 6 and 6yr olds are stupid she started wailing and was like "the poopy water down here is gonna infect my cut and then theyre gonna cut my leg off and i wont be able to see you guys EVER AGAIN" nd leos like. WHAT!!!! just wholeheartedly believes her and donnies in the corner trying not to throw up. she was fine she just went home and washed it and got a bandaid but th turts were so scared bc she was like a day or two late to their usual playdate nd they thought she died. leo asked for "healing books" on his next birthday

mikey saw ppl getting duct taped to the wall online nd thought it was so cool he asked raph to do it but they had to have him face against the wall to not harm his shell and halfway thru he was like "this suck actually let me out" nd raph was like "no lol" nd left him up there for a while

leo fully believes quicksand is a common problem he will have to face

they would film their own "youtube videos" as kids bc they wanted to join in on the whole youtuber craze but didnt post them anywhere for obvious reasons. april had a great time showing them to jr post-movie despite all their embarrassment

they tried the ice bucket challenge on mikey and he almost went into brumation

donnie thought spongebob was real as a little kid and was super mad at splinter for like a day when he told him it wasnt

mikey will climb on top of raphs tail and have him drag him along (alligator tail raph real) raph will sometimes swish his tail and mikey has to hold on for dear life

Hide & Seek references compendium

I put so many little easter eggs and hidden things in my Hide and Seek fic, so here is my little ongoing list of references I purposefully put in the fic for those of you who like this kind of thing idk man

Chapter 1, Disney's Hercules: "Hey, Mack! Ya wanna buy a sundial?" Disney's Jungle Cruise: “Trader Sam’s! Come shop at Trader Sam’s! He’ll give you a great deal on shrunken heads! Two of his heads for one of yours!” the Holmes Hotel, Hugh's Pies is a reference to Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron series, Lilo's Stitches and Embroidery is a nod to Disney's Lilo and Stitch, "Crusty the Crab" is a nod to Spongebob Squarepants, Chell's Portal Stop is a reference to the game series Portal, and the final scene is from the ROTTMNT episode "Hidden City's Most Wanted".

Though this is not technically a reference or Easter egg, I wanted to add this note… I made a point of referring to Splinter as Lou Jitsu when he was mad or angry or selfish, and as Hamato Yoshi when he was scared or sad.

Chapter 2, Leo's determination to have Raph call him "the world's greatest ninja" is a reference to the film, Leo's quote "Land safely!" is taken from the episode "Mystic Mayhem" as well as the episode "The Evil League of Mutants", Leo's complaining to be leader is a nod to his future role, Raph referring to his father as a "sewer monster" is a reference to the episode "Man vs. Sewer", Splinter has a flashback from the episode "Goyles, Goyles, Goyles" and the line "OW! Why, you little--!" is also taken from that same episode.

Chapter 3, Mikey's dream is obviously a nod to all that he will do in the future.

Chapter 4, The origin of Lace Face from the episode "Man vs. Sewer".

Chapter 5, Phineas and Ferb "Escape from Phineas Tower": "That's some mole!" The line "Raph! Your enormous body is crushing me!!” is a reference to Disney's Lilo and Stitch, "sweater town" is a reference to the Gravity Falls episode "The Hand that Rocks the Mabel", the line "I didn't want to believe it, but... *sigh* science." is taken directly from the ROTTMNT film as well as a moment when Leo mentions that Donnie was wrong, Donnie uses two really's, a reference from the episode "Breaking Purple", Donnie gives Leo the comic seen in the episode "Jupiter Jim Ahoy!"

Chapter 6, Splinter's tv flips through several channels which include clips from media. These include a Thomas Sanders vine with "Weatherman Al", the quote "My leg!" from Spongebob Squarepants, part of the Fairly Odd Parents' theme song, Mrs. Cuddles' catchphrase "Let's be friends forever!", "I've got bad feeling about this" is a quote from Star Wars, the fake show about "Goosey" is an easter egg to @gooeseyleo and her Gooseyleo series. When Leo goes onstage, he does "a few improvised dance moves", which is a nod to Ben Schwartz and some dance moves he did in the Netflix improv comedy special "Middleditch and Schwartz”. The Lou Jitsu play the boys perform is a parody of the Godzilla franchise and the Pacific Rim films. Donnie's line "I strive for accuracy" is a reference to @sleepis4theweak 's comic (which I think about every gosh darn day), Horsebot-3000 and Splinter's line "I liked Horsebot-3000" are references to the show Community, season 3 episode 7: "Studies in Modern Movement".

Chapter 7, in the illustration Leo and Donnie are wearing Transformer and Decepticon t-shirts, respectively, and in the background you can see spray paint that spells out "Atomic Lass", as well as a drawing of the turtles' weapons.

Chapter 8, a young BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY make an appearance, as does a very young Harvey Hokum from the ROTTMNT comics. When Bebop tries to sell Leo, he calls him “Shelly”, a reference to my pet turtle of the same name. In the illustration you can see a goldfish on the shelf, which is meant to be Piebald.

Chapter 9, How It's Made, APRIL O'NEIIIIILLLL, Harvey Hokum, Warren Stone and Kendra are referenced, "Operation Blue Suede Shoes" contains the title of a song, a reference to how in the show there are several similar code-names used for the characters ("Purple Rain" for Donnie, "Yellow Submarine" for April, etc.) Leo says that Mikey has empathy amplified, a reference to the fanfiction of the same name written by @filsa-mek on AO3.

Chapter 10, the boys watch "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit". Leo promises to never leave Raphael alone and to always find him. Raph offers several scenarios that actually happen in the future where Leo searches for Raph - sewer monsters (a reference to the episode Man Vs. Sewer), getting captured by bad guys (the episode Bug Busters), and aliens attacking (the events of the film). The chapter as a whole is also based off of a few sketches I made - one of which shows the boys watching the film with Splinter, and one where Raph has a bad dream and wakes up to seeing he hurt Leo, who offers to help and gets the bros together for a turtle pile.

Chapter 11, the episode is heavily inspired by an episode of the audio drama series Adventures in Odyssey, specifically the episode "Mandy's Debut". The line "Wow, the shortcake of death" is a reference taken from said same episode! During Leo's flashback, a reference to the meme "She knocked that smug look off my face, but fourtunately I had a smaller smug look underneath" when Leo takes off his sunglasses to reveal a cooler pair of sunglasses underneath. Leo and Raph make a note to the fact that Leo is not the eldest in this universe.

Chapter 12, Raph, Leo, and Mikey teach April a game they play in the episode "Late Fee". When using sign language, Donnie tells Leo to "Stop yelling at me", which is inspired by a moment in Spy Kids 4. April introduces Raph to Ghostbear's starting career. Mikey repeats a line from the episode "Bug Busters", which is "Remind me not to ask questions anymore." Mikey uses the phrase "hydrate or die-drate", which is taken from a meme but is also something I say constantly as well. When in the Hidden City, Splinter hears people calling out to customers, one uses the lyrics to the Fairly Odd Parents' theme song, another is selling Mary Poppins' umbrella, a third is selling the three mystery journals from Gravity Falls, the fourth is selling Cinderella's glass slippers, and the last one is selling the Stanley Parable bucket of reassurance. Ochimizu is a Japanese mythical elixir of eternal life. The introduction and origins of Loathsome Leonard and the Mud Dogs. Malicious Mickey uses the "creepy doctor" line from "Stuck on You".

Chapter 13, Donnie delirium is directly based off of my own experiences with delirium, as well as his and Leo's conversation about whether or not Leo would miss him when he dies (which was an actual conversation I had with my mother when I was sick with croup as a little girl). The second half of that conversation was adapted from a scrapped fic called "The Kids Are All Dying". Donnie references the song "Big Yellow Taxi". The seven-tailed fox comes from Japanese folklore, but specifically this one was a reference to Naruto! Mikey sings the first line of the "Wonderfilled" song by Owl City. The secret ingredient being a discontinued soda was inspired by the ending of the musical "Be More Chill". The toad yokai becomes Heinous Green.

Short story, in the illustration you can see several signatures and sketches on Leo's cast, such as Raph signing "Mad Dawgs" and Mikey drawing his stickers. On the wall behind Leo is an eye exam that has the words "RISE" and "PHOEBE" on it. There's also a computer monitor in the back with Leo's vitals on it, as well as a notification about the trackers, and a list of all Hamatos Donnie tagged.

You know how actors say they’re most known for certain characters they’ve played? I feel like I always know them (when I rarely do because I don’t keep up with newer stuff) it’s something so obscure to the rest of the world. Either it’s “too old” or wasn’t that popular? I don’t know.

Prime example: Everyone knows Jewel Stait from Firefly, a show I have never seen, but remember people talking about in high school. I know her as Catalina, and she’s the reason I always wanted to dye my hair. Though I’m still afraid of doing a full rainbow like that because I’d mess up the lines somehow.
