Allison and Luther having a relationship is reflective of the abuse and isolation they went through which made them latch onto each other and having only each other (the entire academy) as companions for a good 18 years made them develop crushes on each other. And none of this makes either of them a creep (especially directed towards the Anti-Luther people). This is something both of them should get to grow out of and is not, in my opinion, something that should never have existed in canon like many claim.

15. Hex

It was a simple step, and one she’d always wondered about. Allison Hargreeves had the power to manipulate reality with her words. Initially it seemed to be limited to persuading others to do her will, but how far could she go?

She first experimented with Luther as a teen. Always eager to help her out, he listened attentively as she shared her thought with him. Could she rumor something into existence?

“I heard a rumor you had a bracelet for me in your drawer”

With an eager grin he went over to his desk and pulled the drawer open. He dug through his pencils and trinkets, but unfortunately came up empty. He checked the next drawer, and the next, then his dresser and nightstand, but nothing. He came back to sit beside her on the bed with a contrite look.

“Sorry Alli”

“Don’t be, it’s not your fault. It would have been impossible anyway��� she shrugged and let her eyes fall to the comforter she was sitting on. Luther was quiet for a moment, then hopped up again and returned to his desk, rummaging for a moment before turning around with a triumphant look and his hands behind his back.

“How about this?” He said as he presented her with a blue rubber band. She laughed and offered her hand.

“Oh Luther, it’s stunning! Wherever did you find such a magnificent piece?” His only response was to smile simply as he stretched the band over her hand; playful banter was never his forte, but she doesn’t mind. That’s what she has Klaus for. No, it’s the way Luther bears his genuine heart so earnestly on his sleeve that she likes so much. He places the rubber band and lightly rubs his thumb across her wrist, and Allison feels a subtle shiver run through her body. Hesitantly, she raises her eyes to meet his, sees the same uncertainty reflected back at her.

“I just couldn’t have you looking so disappointed” he tells her softly. “This counts, right?”

“Yeah, this counts”

She wraps her arms around his neck in thanks and is just about to lose herself in the moment when she realizes: this does count, doesn’t it? It may be a loose interpretation of the word, but is this rubber band not, in essence, a bracelet right now? And it would never have become one had she not spoken her will.

Last Minute Ramblings from a Fiktor fan

Watching the Umbrella Academy throughout the seasons, I've always wondered about the possibility of Fiktor.

My observations were that Alluther=explicit (as in acknowledged by the characters themselves), Horrance=slightly explicit (esp Season 3) but mostly implicit (esp Season 2), Fiktor=implicit ... so, when were they going to bring Fiktor to the forefront? Why did they set up Five and Viktor in romantic lighting in Viktor's apartment in Season 1? Why include that line in Episode 1 about the fluffernutters (and Five and Viktor never being able to resume their childhood closeness despite missing each other dearly as if there's something stopping them)? Why is the first thing Five does after he thinks he stops the apocolypse in Season 1 is to ask his brothers about love and return Dolores to a store (also conveniently keeping him away from Viktor's return to the academy)? Why do none of Viktor's memories in Season 1 and 2 include Five (this is interesting with a theme in Season 4 being changed or altered memories)? Why did the Season 3 Fiktor talk parallel their talk in Season 1? Why have the final interaction of Season 3 a look between them? There are definitely more examples (and I've been procrastinating on completing my re-watch) but these are the things at the top of my head.

As a Fiktor fan, I'm 50/50 on the final season leaning into Fiktor. If it does happen, I don't think it will be explicit, it will be implied. We will get crumbs at best but they will be there. Honestly, even as a Fiktor fan, I never wanted the actors to engage in anything romantic on screen because of *obvious* reasons.

In my opinion, the great thing about Fiktor is the writers gave us just enough material to give the fans the feels that a big romantic declaration of love is not necessary. Fans can read their relationship through subtext, symbolism and narrative. It's the type of relationship that gets expanded upon in fanfic and fanart.

I'm just really happy and thankful they gave us Fiktor at all. The comic book counterparts of Five and Viktor despise each other. Viktor is closest to Diego, not Five. Somebody in the writers' room really said let's make Five and Viktor close childhood friends who missed each other dearly, let's have Viktor be the one person Five trusts the most, let's have Five and Viktor have a complex dynamic throughout the show with Five trying to stop the apocolypse and Viktor causing the apocolypse.

I really do love them and will get excited at any interactions or connections between them. Enjoy Season 4 everyone!

I actually only got one tua submission and it was klaus/diego so I don't think any tua ships are going to be in the poll sorry :/
