billy goes through a stage where he’s just. angry all the time.

and it’s not just after the big move.

he’s pissed when they get to hawkins. sure. but he’s not angry all the time. most of the time he doesn’t really feel anything.

it’s actually when he’s younger. a few years after his mom leaves. that’s when the anger comes out.

and it’s not just sometimes, either. it’s not even most of the time. he’s angry all the time.

because it just. hits him suddenly. one day.

his mom left. left him.

he loved her so much. he idolised her.

and she left him with neil.

and suddenly. he hates her.

he hates her so much. so fucking much.

because she left him. her kid. her billy.

and billy doesn’t know. doesn’t know what he did wrong. why she left. why she didn’t take him.

so he starts fights. he leaves holes in his bedroom wall. he slams doors. screams into his pillow at night.

and it all comes to a head one afternoon.

he’s in the bathroom. sitting. back against the tub.

he’s got this mirror. her mirror. this fucking. handheld thing.

he’s looking at himself in it.

and then he sees her. his mom.

staring back at him. through his eyes.

he looks down.

there’s a photo of her. resting on his knee. a photo from a day at the beach. when he was six.

when she was still around.

he looks at the photo. looks back at his reflection.

his knuckles turn white. plastic creaks in his grip.

he laughs. once. it’s too loud a sound in the silence of the house.

and then it happens.

billy’s still in the bathroom an hour later. only now he’s surrounded by glass.

the photo lay on the floor. ripped up.

billy’s throat feels raw. his eyes are swollen. they hurt.

blood drips from his knuckles.

he presses his forehead to the wall. the tile cold against his skin.

he jumps when he hears the front door slam. when neil shouts through to see if billy’s home.

billy feels sick. nauseous.

he looks at part of the photo. a scrap. lying just by his hand.

he whispers. lips barely moving. it’s almost a mantra.

i hate you. i hate you so much. i hate you, mom.

a knock at the bathroom door makes him jolt again. brings billy crashing back to the present.

“billy? you in there?”

billy moves his hand. feels a sort of. sick satisfaction as the cuts on his knuckles reopen and bleed anew.

“yeah, dad.”

he pulls his sleeve over his hand. wipes his eyes.

i hate you.

his knees buckle as he stands.

so much.

he tucks the photo scrap into his back pocket.

“coming.”

Rahul reads Mercedes to sleep, Savannah took herself to the potty and climbed in bed while Mercedes was getting changed. Cassandra needs to lie down but once both girls are in bed she can’t help herself. She gets up, waddles across the house, and kisses them each goodnight.

Mr Cluckton: *crows* Hear ye, hear ye, IT'S TIME

Cassandra: The coop is further away and he still manages to- AH dear watcher

Rahul: Does that mean what I think it means? Is the baby ready?

Cassandra: Yeah, I’m pretty sure they’re ready to come out

Rahul: Okay, you get to the cars and we’ll drop the girls at your brothers on the way

Hospital time!

Cassandra: Where is Dr Eriksson?

Rahul: The nurse said she’s not here at the moment but don’t worry, she could still show up

Cassandra: Can you help me? My lower back is killing me

The couple move over to the exercise ball and Rahul sets about trying to massage some of Cassandra’s pain away. He’s not very successful though.

Cassandra: Rahul, for the love of the watcher, please go shave that beard, it’s stressing me out

Rahul: Right away my darling

Cassandra stands and her water breaks dramatically over the floor.

Cassandra mopes sadly on the bed while Rahul is busy.

Dr E: Did someone call for a doctor

Cassandra: Thank goodness, I really need some painkillers

Rahul: Do you know how wonderful you are

Cassandra: I don’t but I do have this husband who tells me such things

Cassandra: Thank goodness, we had a bunch of girl names ready but hardly any boy options

Dr E: It looks like we will have to await the melanin awakening again unfortunately

Rahul: So long as Viola is healthy, that’s all that matters

Dr E: That’s a lovely name

Cassandra: We think so

Dr E: I’ll just close up then you three can head home

Back home and it looks like Viola is keeping to tradition by inheriting Rahul’s eyes.

Mercedes: Mama papa back!

Savannah: You gone forever

Rahul: It didn’t take that long I don’t think. Now who is ready to meet their baby sister

Last film: Well, apart from the shooting/war/action films or the obligatory Bud Spencer ones that my boyfriend watches while I try to read in peace next to him or the Paw Patrol movie that I watched with my daughter... 🙈😂 The last two films I watched were "Leave the world behind" - strange - and "Saltburn" - didn't shock me, but captivated me in a weird way.

Last song: Whenever I ask Alexa to play some music for me, all she ever does is providing me with Taylor Swift. 🤗 So, there is that and I certainly won't complain about that. Also, I love some good 80s playlists. 💃

Currently reading: There is Heartstopper 5 waiting to be read since the middle of December 🥰🥰, and I also started "Mama's boy" by Dustin Lance Black recently.

Currently watching: I lost track of "The marvelous Mrs. Maisel" somewhere in season 3, but I totally intend to dive back in one day. I started "Surviving Summer" a while back, because it is set in Australia, involves a lot of beach life and surfing and I enjoy the Australian accent so much. 😍😍🇦🇺 Also, "Young Royals". 🥰

Currently consuming: Way too much rwrb fanfiction 🫣🫠, too much ice cream and diet coke. I'm also thinking about buying that one pair of Doc Martens, but I assume I have to be an responsible adult for one and rather invest that money into a new mattress (in hope that my back gets better). 🥲

Day 314: Friday November 10, 2023 - "This was 28 Months"

A whirlwinding-wind 2 years+4 months. Such a funny imaginative time, where task loading now seems more to do with staying out in front of all the imaginative ways to have a meltdown, while creating core experiences. From rattling his rocketship through Tucson's streets, to home sick with a fever in Mama's arms - from loving the trees in Flag to loving books in Daddy's arms. He is the fireworks of our world, the ups and downs and all arounds that is parenting together, and living and loving together in our own little world that we create. We got a lot of time together in the 28th month.

hnghhhhh thinking about how chara not only sees killer as a 'friend', a 'partner-in-crime', but potentially a 'sibling' too. just thinking how chara would say to killer "asriel and i always wanted a younger sibling" while smiling and crushing him with their hug. chara is teaching killer about the world, just like what they used to do with asriel when they were alive. like, chara's relationship with asriel can be so fucked up, but we'll never know. i do think that chara genuinely loves asriel and views him as basically better than them in every way. yet, everything chara touches just decays and turns to dust. i think chara would hate flowey because he is an inferior version of what asriel is supposed to be (and also a possible mirror of chara's self and ideology), yet they would still care for him because that is/was asriel. i imagine that hatred for flowey naturally transfers to killer as well. chara cares for killer but they also want to rip him apart.

idk how killer would take being seen as a sibling figure to chara. would that somewhat trigger his emotions and memories for papyrus? maybe he subconsciously leans into it because it's something familiar and safe to him. maybe he enjoys small moments of chara comforting him, only to endure terrible things afterwards. bcabdcjbaks this is so sad 😭😭 dysfunctional/doomed siblings always kill me...

Uhdodje. I love the sibling angle with Killer and Chara too—really I wouldn’t be at all surprised at all if their relationship went through phases of just about everything. Strangers, mentor/teacher, child/parent, friends, partners in crime, siblings, enemies. We have no clue just how long they spent together—no one being really real enough in their eyes to measure up to the other.

It also gave me the thought of something like, Killer often instinctively leaning into this dynamic because it feels familiar for reasons he doesn’t fully understand, but whenever Chara turns on him or hurts him after, there’s always this ache in his soul that he can’t place. He knew it was coming, it always does—so why does it still cause his body to behave as if it’s something so genuinely soul crushing. As if there was some type of betrayal, as if there was anything for Killer to have ever lost in the first place.

They aren’t actually siblings, after all. He doesn’t even know what having one felt like. (Just this sense of something like, “I had a sibling once. You took me from him” that Killer just can’t actually fully understand or comprehend in Stage 2.)

○ as you guys sung the song, venti waved your phones flashlight around like a lighter.

○ him always being a bit stand off ish and not interracting with others much but he just can't seem to get his eyes or his hands ofd of you

○ anyways, like he qas with most people he was very quiet around your parents. was it anxiety? was it just him being xiao? we'll never know

○ but all of his worries went away when he spotted the old wii console under your tv

○ he tugged the fabric of your clothes gently and motioned over to the console, his face a slight tint of pink

○ when you realised that he wanted to play on it you because as excited as xiao was when you agreed

○ you didn't have much games that still worked on it but you did get to play a wii version of call of duty that yo found at the bottom of your disks case

○ since xiao is a loser valorant player, he quickly adapted to the game but still struggled a bit with the controller.

○ time flew as you went through all of the cds that still worked.

○ from just dance, which xiao sat on the couch at got perfects while yoy actually stood up and danced and got goods. (xiao was secretly holding back laughter)

○ to the old tangled game you found that actually still worked, you two breezed through the games that were avaliable to you.
