ctwc 2024 is this weekend!

the two agreed favorites to win the whole tournament would probably have to be alex and fractal - alex has been on fire these last few months, and fractal will look to be defending his world championship title after a ridiculous streak of wins at the start of the year!

sidnev and blue scuti are perhaps the next most likely contenders for the title! blue scuti got 3rd at the world championships last year and has since become a cultural phenomenon - and as for sidnev, she'll want to improve on her 2nd place from 2023 and win the whole thing!

but even in this new era of tetris, we can't count out the artiaga brothers... since 2020, at least one of them have made the top four, and it's usually been both of them! could andy win his first world championship, or could dog become the first and only person to win the title with two different playstyles?

with how good tetris players are getting in 2024, though, someone unexpected could always come out of nowhere and pull off an incredible bracket run! noah, myles, danv, rahmations, huff - all of these players are regulars to the top level and have potential to cause some chaos for the favorites! or maybe even... someone else???

the classic tetris world championships are taking place june 7th to june 9th, and all the action will be livestreamed on the ClassicTetris twitch page! be sure to check it out this weekend

Supergirl star Azie Tesfai confirmed to CBR that Kelly will see Chyler Leigh's Alex Danvers suit up for the first time in the Season 5 finale.

Supergirl mainstay Alex Danvers will suit up as a masked vigilante in the Season 5 finale. After a brief tease in last week's episode, Kelly Olson actor Azie Tesfai confirmed Alex will make her debut as a costumed hero on Sunday.

"I have a scene -- the finale is in two days, I hope this is okay to say -- but I've kind of said it before when we shot it, because Chyler [Leigh] and I thought it was so cool, but Chyler and I have a scene in the finale that is pretty epic. The stunt double in the scene was a Cirque du Soleil performer. I think it'll be a fan favorite scene," Tesfai told CBR. "That's all I think I can say. But it is incredible. Kelly will get to see vigilante Alex for the first time in the finale, which is really exciting."

But finally, finally, the producers seem done with rehashing all the drama. They both turn to look at Alex and Maggie.

“Alex and Maggie,” Vanessa says. “You guys had a bit of a rocky start, didn’t you? Let’s take a look.” Alex buries her face in her hands. She knows what they’re going to show. Maggie rubs her back, slow and soothing, and Maura squeezes her knee in a show of anxious bisexual support. They show the first date, when Alex cried. They show Maggie talking about it with Jane, and Alex’s confessionals where she was completely freaking out. “Alex,” Vanessa says softly. Alex pulls her face out of her hands. “What was it like, to come out on television?” “Ummm.” Alex draws it out, and all the other queers laugh. “Horrible.” She smiles, a little painfully, and Maggie kisses her ear. “No, not really. But it was…man. It was really intense. I had people—people who I hadn’t talked to in ten years—popping up everywhere, finding me on social media, or stopping my mom on the street of my hometown, all kinds of ridiculous things, just to say that they saw it. Or that they already knew, or whatever. It was…I don’t know. I guess I knew it would be public, but I hadn’t thought people would care that much.” “But they did,” Vanessa says. “They really did.” “Do you have any regrets?” “Um…” Alex scratches her head a little bit, her shoulder pressing into Maggie’s. “If I had it to do over again, I would maybe try to come out to my sister before I went on the show. So that I could have been like, more chill about it on camera. Like, if I’d said it once or twice before, maybe I wouldn’t have cried in front of Maggie like that.” “I liked it,” Maggie says, and her voice is husky and low, and Alex wants to rip her clothes off and just lay next to her, naked and comforted and safe. “Aww,” Vanessa coos. “But see, it worked out!” Alex nods. “It did. And I’ve gotten a lot of really nice messages from people, who have been questioning, or who are in their late twenties or thirties or forties or fifties, and just starting to figure it out. It’s been really amazing.”

Kalex trauma headcanons.

1.) The Earths mergein Crisis. Kara remembers precrisis Earth 38. Alex doesn't. Kara has to deal with the question of "is this my Alex or a stranger?"

2.) Kara is still trying to save Lena, but push comes to shove, and Alex ends Lena. It's Astra all over again.

3.) Kelly is out of town visiting James, and Kara decides to drop in and visit Alex, only when she gets to Alex's apartment, Alex is very drunk. Kara tries to put her to bed, but Alex kisses her and tells her that she's in love with her. The next morning Alex doesn't remember a thing, but Kara has to live with the memory of the kiss.

Camp Monitor Sanvers AU

So me and @tinyevilcookie were talking at 2 am and this happened. We’re to lazy to write a proper fic so… but if you feel like it, just let us know :)

- Alex and Kara have gone to this camp every summer since Kara was 12 - and this year alex is going to be a monitor for the first time and she’s really excited - because she spent her whole teenage summer years in this camp and she really loved it - so she was excited to do it justice - Maggie has never been to this camp, but after a stressful year at the police academy she decided it couldn’t hurt and accepted her friend’s suggestion - She had to deal with assholes all the time, taking care of kids would be easy, right? - Just watch them play soccer and shit and make sure they weren’t hurt. Easy - Turned out not easy, cause they called her last minute to be monitor to Cabin 2 - She knew nothing about taking care of teenage girls from the age of 13 to 18. - She couldnt say no because the girl who asked her to fill in was really adorable - It was Kara Danvers - Her first day went terribly. - To break the ice, she took the girls to the soccer field - But then this beautiful girl, another monitor, came and almost kicked her out of there saying she already made reservations for that hour - She just saw her name in the tag “Alex Danvers”, and realized it was a lost battle. “See you around Danvers” - In the monitor’s room, Maggie chatted with some of the other girls, trying to get tips on how to handle teenagers - And tried to get to know this Alex Danvers - But when she asked how Alex managed to teach these girls discipline - Alex just looked at her like she asked to steal the Indepedence Declaration and took off - Some of the other monitors felt bad for Maggie and explained to her Alex was monitor of the cabin 1 - And cabin 1 and 2, of course, were the first ones in this camp - And always had some rivalry - No one knew what started this rivalry but the two cabins were always trying  to prank and beat each other in everything - Maggie thought they were exaggerating ofc - Until she woke up with her girls screaming about frogs in the bathroom - And there were a bright green ribbon near it. Green being Cabins 1 color. - Okay, a little pranking no big deal right - Except when they had their first activity for the day - soccer- Alex Danvers  and her girls were acting like this was some kind of battle and they were the winners -“Oh Danvers, it’s on” - then it started, the most epic war between cabin 1 and 2 - It started with more innocent stuff - Like stealing paddles or changing shampoo for paint - Alex was super pissed when she got out of the shower with her hair bright yellow aka Cabins 2 colour but Maggie thought the colour worked on her - It was fun for a while but Maggie and Alex started to get crazy with this so called war - Besides the fun parts the campers had some training to actually learn and to compete against the other cabins - But at one point, neither cabin 1 or 2 were having fun anymore - Both monitors scheduled training at the most strange hours so they wouldn't  be caught in a prank - They were both so focused on beating each other that the kids were training almost all the time now, which was just not fun - Plus some girls had become friends with girls from their rival cabin and wanted to interact with them without Alex or Maggie telling them to stop spying. - So they teamed up and decided  that this rivalry had to end. - Alex kept a close eye on Cabins 2 girls every time they interacted with her girls, she didn’t want anyone spilling their schedule or strategies. As did Maggie, you could never be too careful. - Which means when they saw one of their girls leaving the rival cabin they decided  to follow. Totally normal monitor of a summer camp stuff ofc. - They weren’t thinking about secrets being spilled, ofc not that would  be irresponsible, they just wanted to make sure the girls were okay, yeah that was it. - They followed the girls separetedly just to make sure they were okay, obvs. - They never saw the exact moment the two girls met, bc they were too busy looking and pointing at each other. - They started to whisper acusations to one another. To Alex, it was obvious Maggie had some shaddy plot against her cabin. - Maggie tought the same, otherwise, why would Alex be there? - That’s when they finally had a proper look on those young girls. They were holding hands, smiling shyly at each other. Then, one of them placed an inoccent kiss on the other one’s lips. - Oooh… Alex and Maggie stared dumbly for a few seconds and then quietly walked away leaving the girls in peace. - Silently, they agreed that this war had gone too far. They almost ruined young love for a stupid rivalry.

Would anyone be interested in more? We’ve got tons of ideas :)

Another Reason Why Sanvers Breakup Is Sloppy

I think most of you guys know by now that Maggie Sawyer isn’t exactly the show’s original character. The way I see it, she is the combination of two of the girlfriends of Kate Kane’s, the vigilante Batwoman, in the form of Maggie’s name and Renee Montoya (GCPD detective and vigilante Question). In this post let’s just say she’s just Maggie, and I want to talk about why comic Maggie broke up with Kate, or rather, why Kate broke up with her.

For over thirty issues of Batwoman (New 52), Kate and Maggie were happy. There were some trust issues then identity reveal and proposal, which means they were about to marry, just like Maggie and Alex in the show. And they were forced to break up as well for a reason. Someone decided that superheroes, or in this case superheroines, don’t deserve happiness, and ordered the writer to break them up. The reason was fucked up as well, but there was a reason. The plot was forced to turn this way, just like the show.

(It’s kind of unfair to say “just like the show” when the comics came out much earlier but I’m just drawing parallel so please bear with me)

And just like the show, the couple themselves were so perfect they just had to work on some other factors, which is, bingo, kids.

But you know what’s different?

Maggie had a daughter. With her homophobic ex-hadsband. Who decided to bring a lawsuit against her for their kid after he learned about Kate because he thought it would have bad influence on Jamie.

And my Jewish lesbian goddess made a deal with this douchebag. Him dropping the case in exchange for Kate staying away from Maggie and Jamie.

So they broke up.

You know what I’m trying to say, right? If you don’t, go back to the headline.

The breakup is forced, yes, but that’s not a good reason for a shitty plot. Seriously.
