Meet Prinz Xtra, the buzzing Afrobeats Singer signed to Skolars Entertainment

Skolars Entertainment has fully stepped on the scene with their debut signee, Prinz Xtra – tipped to become one of the most sought after Ghanaian Singers, soon.

Prinz Xtra, who found his passion in music during his high School days devoted time and effort to hone his craft from his younger years; he began with organizing and involving himself in rap competitions on campus to showcase his talent. Starting out as a rapper later found him transforming himself into a singer who now churns out sweet melodies and fine lyrics.

Before stepping into the big space with his contemporaries, Prinx Xtra had already tested the waters with singles like “Alele”, “Buried Inside”, “Mon Bebe” and “Money Icon”

Early Life And Education:

Prinz Xtra was born on April 9th as Prince Teye Matey, in Odumase Krobo, Eastern Region of Ghana. He sadly lost his father at a very young age, and had to keep under his mother’s parenting, into his adulthood.

He has his basic education at Starward School in Agormanya, and later furthered his high school Education at Akwamuman Senior High in Akosombo. Prinz is currently enrolled at Mount Mary College of Education in Somanya.

Music Career:

In 2019, Prinz Xtra discovered his artistic potential while in high school. Driven by passion, he organized rap battles on campus and performance to showcase himself and others to the audience. In 2021, he had the opportunity to perform on one of the biggest stages in the Eastern Region during the “Eastern Arts and Music Awards” where he performed alongside other artistes.

Was thinking about a lil kaishin hc again, as I always do, but then again, I'm me, ans I thrive for side effects of the aptx antidote

Post Conan, I think shinichi would have a lot and I mean ALOT of side effects. Having grown in the body of a child for... let's say 2 years maybe? (I think it'd take a while to finally take down the Black org and when they actually do, the antidote isn't there and they have to end up taking down other branches of the organisation for anything about the poison and then they cheer).

First of all, My favourite one, he has chronic pain. It's mostly from the amount of temporary antidotes he's taken, so the size of bones and muscles changing so many times, yea, that kinda develops it.

He'd have that on and off pain where when it'd come to a random time, he'd just feel ache and stinging everywhere. The first time it happens, he thinks it's the antidote not working and that he's gonna turn back to Conan, but it happens MULTIPLE times for weeks, so he ends up building up a fake name and identity with his mother's help and gets it checked out.

I like to think that shinichi would hide it from kaito during their getting together days. He doesn't wanna worry people anymore, so he ends up unintentionally hiding it, the only people who know are haibara, since she's his kind of doctor, then there's the professor for obvious reasons cuz shinichi just tells him everything, and then Ran. He doesn't directly tell her, she just witness it .

Kaito only finds out when he's coming back from a heist where he noticed that shinichi wasn't there. So he kinda doesn't care to change put of his KID uniform and just barges into the house through the window, and there it is, Shinichi sitting on the bed with a heating bad on his lap and painkillers in hand.

It's hard for shinichi to explain it, so haibara is there instead, and kaito doesn't get it at first and doesn't know what to do, shinichi is fine with that, ye never intended to have kaito deal with it, but then is later surprised when the pain comes back again and suddenly kaito is the most professional care taker put there, (he totally didn't spent the next hours after finding out about it just doing research and going around as an intern or student in hospitals to see how professionals deal with it).

Shinichi doesn't think he's ever fallen for a man harder, he's squealing and kicking his feet at the next moment he can.

Another one I really like to write is the him not realizing hes not conan anymore, and so is his body (and we actually wintesses that in an ep and i found that really funny).

I feel like from changing between the body of a 7yr old to an adult so many times, it's just cause an alternation in everything in his body. I think he'd forget that he should eat in amount that an adult should, and ends up with a kids serving , or even when he's eating out with anymore, like kaito or heiji, one of them just goes "You're not Conan anymore yknow?" And then he just mentally slaps himself and orders something else.

Other than that there's the childishness, shinichi, as shinichi, not Conan, saying alele KILLED me, and he might definitely keep going with that or other terms he's used to. I feel like whoever someone's amazed at how quick he works , he'll just send them that childish grin all happy and stuff. The person who'd catch onto it most is Takagi, he's all like. "Conan used to do this too... hmmm.. what if- no- but- no"

In kaishins pov, I think shinichi would mostly act normal, he's used to being himself around kaito, so it's easy to adjust to him being back again, but maybe he'd make the voice or say something when hanging around with someone who knew him purely as Conan. And kaito would tease him about it for the rest of that night.

The part where his body has alternated is in like. His immunity, which would make him sick a lot more, or blood issues. That guy would 101% get anaemia from that kids serving he eats throughout the day (he definitely forgets to eat) , so you just find the guy all pale and zoning our more often and always tired. It gets to a point where he passes out when out of a trip with kaito, and kaito being himself, DRAGS shinichi to a near by medical center or doctor them finds out shinichis iron or haemoglobin level is like, 4 when the normal is 12, and kaito is struck harder when he finds out it takes A LONG time to get it back up to normal again.

Not to mention he always has some cold or fever, hes basically making kaito his personal 24/7 illness caretaker, and at first it's sweet, kaito being careful and stuff ti starting to think shinichis faking it (he's going through his denial era, don't mind him) and he's all huffy and just forces shinichi to stay in bed all day, then realizes it's real and goes all sweet again.

Shinichis reaction to all this? Tired, he just wants to go on cases and heists but he's always watched by kaitos doves to do that.

How should nekomimi be inherited to not look weird?

I think that if they are simply humans with certain animalistic traits then it can be done like irl phenotypes, basically "some mixed kids inherit them, some don't" and leave it here, so there can be a community of mostly cat people with some individuals with fully human features to not make it look weird (and vice-versa, some nekomimi people amongst "normal" humans who don't belong to any of the cultures of cat people).

But what about some more complicated feline features like vision or dietary needs and such?

And even more importantly, is my idea of how to do nekomimi genetics in a fantasy setting not weird in itself?

It's NOT weird. The only thing better than catgirls are catgirls who fit in the worldbuilding.

Now, if you want a technobabble excuse, you could always use homeobox genes that you could say develop different kinds of ears, tails (biologist note: this is NOT exactly how homeobox genes work, but they do kinda work as an technobabble excuse) inside a wider, let's say, "humanoid" species or genus. These could be inherited as diverse alleles of such traits (for example, the 'ears' gene could have cat-like, dog-like, human-like, etc. alelles) and also have mendelian or non-mendelian distributions. Suppose you want to make a fantasy mendelian system, you could say "cat ears are recessive, human ears are dominant" (note: "recessive" and "dominant" don't mean "worse" and "better" it just means than an allele is "hidden" or deactivated by the dominant one. Sorry if I make a mistake, I learned all this in Spanish) and figure out inheritance from there, just traits that are cleanly inherited in regular proportions. This is not how most genetics work, however. There's multiple kinds of non-mendelian inheritance... multiple alleles, codominance, sex-linked inheritance, and of course quantitative genetics which is when alleles don't manifest in a single discrete trait but rather a continous measurable one (such as height)... now I feel I'm doing my genetics course again, but I'm sure you can tell how such things can work if you read an intro text about it.

There's a bunch of caveats here, and I'm gonna speak very broadly here. In humans, there aren't single, well defined genes that codify appearance for, for example, hair texture and color, skin/eye color, etc. in the sense that there's a "blue eye gene" or "curly hair gene". In fact this is the case for most genes, most are multi-allelic or quantitative with different 'weights' for a continous trait. Or BOTH. People tend to inherit different genetic 'weights' (very unscientific term here, sorry) from one parent or another and this can be very random, with some expressing different traits even if having the same family (this is why you see people who resemble almost perfectly to one parent instead of a "mix" of both, and of course those who indeed look like a mix of both. And these in turn have nothing to do with genetic diseases, blood types, or other inheritable things) There are hundreds of genes involved in each trait of human appearance and they all interact with each other, and most aren't even known, we don't fully know the genes that regulate skin, hair or eye color, just to give a few examples. So it's almost never stuff like "dominant purple flower, recessive white flower", Mendel was VERY lucky and smart to pick out discrete alleles to find out his laws. Most traits aren't like that at all, especially in animals.

Which brings me to my next point. It's very unlikely mendelian inheritance of traits such as ears or tails would have evolved naturally in animals. The development of characteristics such as ears or tails is deep, deep in the early embryo development, a very fragile period for animals. A species that has such huge genetic variations in such key periods of development faces severe selective pressure and it's unlikely these extreme "alleles" would remain, errors on them would cause extreme malformations or just embryos not developing at all. Even humans have this trouble, the loss of tails in apes, for example, has let us to suffer from spina bifida, every body plan change has a huge cost and this is why animals are sometimes very conservative with it, most body plans are the modification of existing features rather than the apperance or removal of different ones, and this is at evolutionary scales, not even living populations. Of course, some animals are more, let's say, plastic, like dogs, but even they have a general body plan, there aren't dogs without ears or tails, for instance. Even dogs are the consequence of tens of thousands of very intensive artificial selection which did not happen naturally at all, I mean, it's not like poodles or daschunds have any sexual or natural selection advantage for themselves, they are adventageous for us. You can see that wild and feral dogs, without the pressure of human artificial selection tend to converge into a more general dog plan (the so called "pariah dog", but also see dingos, and of course wolves, I'm skipping a lot of stuff here), adapted to local climates.

Surprisingly, I can see diet being less problematic in this sense. After all, we know there are for example human populations adapted to lactose. Dogs have also evolved enzymes to digest carbohydrates which wolves don't have, while not as nutritious as their carnivorous diet it works better with our human diet. Different bacterial flora can also help digest things that are surprising though, such as cellulose (though bacterial flora is still an underrated and ongoing field of study) It's also much easier to imagine changes in dentition than the whole head plan. So I can easily imagine different populations adapting to different diets. Same with eyes, I mean, daltonic and colorblind human population exists, the EYE is mostly the same, but it works differently. But again, the body plan remains the same. Humans or dogs might have different aptitudes for diets, but they don't stop being omnivores or carnivores.

Of course, tis' fantasy. So why expect things to follow natural evolution? Hell, why even expect fantasy people in a pre-industrial setting to know about homeobox genes? Depending on your setting, it might be that these traits are stable and inheritable because of a magical curse/blessing, or that the gods or the inherent magic of the world said so. However, if you have a species that has multiple, very different appearances and those are inheritable, you're dealing with some rather heavy stuff here that redefines your concept of humanity. In Dungeon Meshi, for instance, they talk about this, as the typical "elf, dwarf, halfling, human" fantasy races all can and do have children with each other, and (spoilers!) they seem to have a common origin, and thus all are actually called "humanity" which is a very interesting concept, because, indeed, what else are they if they don't actually have any real biological barriers. Meanwhile, the differences with other more "distant" species? races? such as orcs and kobolds (canine-like) are shown as rather arbitrary and depending on the culture, in fact, even humans (or rather "tallmen") get excluded from "humanity" in some cases. (not even tackling the whole long-short lived races thing). Similarily, you could say these "nekomimi" are just humans with a particular blessing or curse (again, in Dungeon Meshi, there is Izutsumi), but that works on the particular designs of your fantasy world and magic system... and let's say that when such concepts have appeared in real life, well... I don't need to tell you these are rather heavy and controversial topics to tackle. I don't think you should shy away from portraying them, but again, it's something to think about very carefully.

Since this is a heavy topic, I'm gonna take you out of fantasy for a sci-fi perspective. In my biopunk setting (it's on the tag "soft biopunk" on my blog) there are kemonomimi people all around, and in fact, all sort of genetic cosmetics, in fact, one of the main characters is indeed a communist catgirl. Most of it, however, is made in adults, much like getting tattoos or piercings. Tegument (i.e, skin) in humans and most vertebrates is surprisingly plastic, and one can 'grow' ears and implant them, or estimulate the production of feather or scale genes in the skin. Meanwhile, things such as tails have a little more involved surgery, since you also need to take into account nerves, muscles, circulation, etc. Meanwhile stuff such as muzzles and others require very extensive surgery, so it isn't as common. So these are implants (non inheritable) rather than expression from embryos, what geneticists would say germline modification. Such things also occurs but is done way more carefully and is more extensive, and it's nothing you would do just for the sake of cosmetics, when you're doing that, you're basically starting a new branch of humanity with all that implies. On the other hand, sentient "uplift" cats, dogs, and many other animals do exist, but they aren't animals that act like humans, they are sentient animals with a way of thinking and behavior very different to us, you aren't talking to a "cat with human intelligence", you're talking to an intelligent cat (when they want to talk, anyways). So, you can't REALLY turn a Felis catus into a catgirl, but a Homo sapiens can do a rather passable one.

Well, this has been a lot of fun to write and think about, so I hope you enjoyed it, and sorry for the walls of text! I promise to make a better post with some better illustrations of hot catgirls. X-Files Collector's Edition: The Crack Fic Life of One Fox Mulder

The crack fic continues.

I love all of these so, so, SO much-- Mulder crashing in on Scully at all hours of the night with his portals of love, clawing up Skinner's desk when transformed into a fox, laughing with Doggett over the Beverly Hillbillies black oil case, baffling Scully with his atrocious hair care choices, Teletubby-suiting into Area 51 with Scully, having a cheapskate for a mother, troubadouring after his S8 return, and more-- that I cannot recommend them enough.

""Out of what she blames as compulsiveness to comfort, she pets him, taking special care to rub behind his ears.

He seems to like that. He lays his head in her lap, which is fine, it wouldn’t be the first time (she thinks of dark nights in forests while he sleeps with his head in her lap and asks her to sing), but he definitely didn’t purr before.

“This is weird,” she says, and he makes it even weirder by licking her hand.  “Gross, Mulder,” she mumbles, and wipes the fox saliva on his back.""

S5 Scully is stuck with a petulant Mulder (who's been cursed into fox form) while trying to locate the Greek goddess who cursed him (after he mouthed off to her.) The blend between real Mulder and his fox form is staggeringly impressive; and the belly rubs and subtle humor gets me EVERY time.

""She questions him at length while they eat. "What were you doing when it appeared?" He notices that she seems to have conceded the point and wonders if she actually has come to believe him or if she is just biding her time until she's able to come up with an explanation that more neatly fits into the careful, rational confines of her worldview....

Right in front of him this time. All he'd had to do was slide his feet off the couch and jump in. That gets a reaction from her.

"You didn't think to investigate first before you just ... leapt right in?"

He shrugs and gets a devastating eye roll and head shake combination plus a mutter which is either 'some head of lettuce' or 'so impetuous', both of which he finds incredibly offensive.""

S5? Mulder is portaled into Scully's house over and over and over. Frohike tries to be intercessor; and Mulder uses his heartsick love for good by rescuing his grumpy lady love from a beast dog on a case.

AU S5-- Scully decides it's a grand idea to bring her dead loved ones back to life with a wish potion; however, Melissa, Pendrell, X, Deep Throat, and Queequeg return to clutter up her apartment and insult her life choices.

AU Pre-Dreamland Mulder drags Scully to Las Vegas and finds old man Elvis. She is promptly dumped as Mulder chases after his obsession, apparently losing 6 days when they’re both captured by Morris Fletcher and his goons; and Scully nearly loses it several times while being swamped by reporters and Yappi (who secretly terrifies her.) This is the one and only time Kersh, Diana, and Jeffrey Spender actually help the duo (and the Bureau) out of a pickle. 

Scully's-_laughter's Restricted Area

""How’s the autopsy going, Doc?” Mulder winced internally.

Scully proudly held up the metal blob, smiling.

“I was going for a human heart, but this laser is harder to control than it looks. It resembles Antarctica though, don’t you think? On the map?” She handed the piece of metal to him. “Might make a good key chain.”

Mulder looked like she just gave him an alien with a bow on top. Then he scrambled to put his key ring through the hole. He had no idea what Antarctica looked like on the map.""

AU-- Post Dreamland II Scully is dragged into TLG and Mulder's "raid Area 51" shenanigans... in Teletubby-tech bubble wrapped suits. There are, indeed, lasers; but what's more bothersome is Morris Fletcher's pee stream.

Post Milagro Mulder misreads Scully's shock for PTSD. Days later, his 7-in-1 hair treatment is mysteriously replaced.

SCULLY: Mulder, why is your mother buried in North Carolina when your family never lived outside New England?""

AU-- Post All Things Mulder can't reciprocate, revealing his brain disease. Scully immediately turns it into an IVF discussion; and the transcript-style fic continues dissing and lampshading all the other horrendous S7 decisions.

""I'm Fox Mulder.

"Agent Mulder, I'm Dana Scully. I've been assigned to work with you," she said, in that way she had of refuting all of my hard-fought beliefs with one toss of her green hair. But I wasn't going to back down, not now, not ever. I'm a private eye. And I'm red-green colorblind, which is part of the reason my eyes are so private. One's red. The other's green. I think. How should I know? I'm colorblind.

"Mrs. Stevens, bring me a cup of coffee, and a towel so the lady can dry off from the rain," I shouted through the misted-glass door, forgetting that I didn't have a secretary or a misted-glass door. Mrs. Stevens returned seconds later and handed me an iced tea.

"Thank you, ma'am," I said, with a tip of the fedora. Mrs. Stevens straightened her stocking and exited through the misted-glass door I still didn't have. I gestured for the dame to sit down.""

Mulder is a quick talkin' noir detective-- slick and cool, living in grays and blacks-- while Scully lives in reality and observes his insanity.

Within AU-- The Alien Bounty Hunter did not, in fact, want Mulder; but they form a nice little alliance by using Mulder's reinvigorated brain powers to spy on Krycek's plans. The aliens have a lot of compassion for Mulder, getting him in touch with Scully and FINALLY getting him to clue into his impending fatherhood. Oh, and the head alien, in payment for Mulder's good behavior, asks only one more thing from him: a shrubbery.

S8 AU-- Mulder is returned from his abduction unharmed but armed... with a troubadouring guitar. Scully's annoyance grows when he celebrates her announcement with a song; but it grows even stronger when he keeps TALKING in verse.

David Stoddard-Hunt's Pret' Near Midnight

""Mulder," Doggett said, taken aback by a sudden thought, "if Ms. Drysdale's uncle was like those men we encountered on the oil rig in the Gulf, then he woulda had the ability to infect other people without losin' the contagion himself, like with, uh, like how you found, early on."

"With Krycek," Mulder supplied sourly.

"Yeah," Doggett said mildly, "like with him. That would help to explain a lot of things, for me anyway, about, uh, out west."

"Hollyweird," Mulder snorted.""

S9-- Ellie Drysdale of 'The Beverly Hillbillies' fame calls up Monica and Doggett for help. Doggett and Mulder nearly split their sides laughing until Scully shuts them up with the fierceness of her wrath. Once they're sorted into better behavior, the gang realizes that the black oil was behind old man Drysdale's success the whole time.
