I've only ever watched the event from afar before... And when she asked if I could show it I wasn't really sure what to say... or think. But getting out of the house and spending time with someone nice was probably what I needed.

Though it hurt, being surrounded by such a theme.

I was reminded of Neoma's rejection, after all this time... So I just tried my best to make sure Alari had a good time, her excitement was distracting. She even bought me treats, themed for the season. Then when her joy was crushed by a price tag on jewelry, I got it for her. It was the least I could, as a thanks for sharing her happiness so kindly.

I think one of the funniest possible dynamics going into DAV is like... you've got Quiz going "Oh, we have to find Solas and talk him down" and then Varric tries that and fails miserably and then Rook kicks in Solas's door like "What's up Dick Wolf, do you really live like this, anyway this is my house now, you look like you might actually need eight asshole roommates to get drunk in your library and fuck on your furnishings" and then that inevitably can actually work. I want to (lovingly) bully Solas into turning over a new leaf. His dear friends from the Inquisition can't do it but this asshole and their seven closest friends will get through to him whether he likes it or not.

Alari came to the kitchen while I was cleaning. All cooking was done, so, it was just for anyone to come and have what they liked. She wanted company, so I had a snack while she ate a hearty meal and... while we talked I guess I... asked about something sensitive... I felt bad, causing her grief like that so I brought her a dessert. I panicked, I didn't know what else to do to cheer her up...

Then more people showed up. Many unfamiliar faces... And Eir, too, which was a comfort. But I wasn't sure about our guests, so many not from the company... I ended up retreating into the kitchen, where I could be alone, again...
