In a brilliant essay, “Decolonial Theology and Changing the Global Church” on the Berkley Forum, Dr. Debora Tonelli says that “At the end of official colonialism, religion has often been the space in which colonized people have fought to build their new identity.” With regard to Indigenous nations and peoples, I would suggest a slight modification of that concept: “...the religion of the invaders has often been the space in which dominated and colonized peoples, those who have survived the intergenerational onslaught, have fought to build a new identity under an imposed system of domination.
My inspiration for that modification comes from a number of Vatican papal decrees issued by various popes during the fifteenth century (1436, 1452, 1454, 1455, 1456, 1481, 1493, 1506, and 1514). The Latin language of those documents is quite useful. It provides insight into the church-state coalition that served as an engine, so to speak, for establishing a system of domination over distant non-Christian lands during the so-called Age of Discovery.
Are the Papal Bulls Political Documents of Christian Empire?
While present-day Catholic Church experts tend to say that the language of those papal bulls is not part of official Church teaching, this is beside the point. Years ago, in 1992, Bishop (now Archbishop) Charles J. Chaput told me that the papal bulls I was referring to were “political documents.” I think he meant that they are not based on and do not express official church teachings.
I understand his use of the phrase “political documents” to mean that those papal decrees expressed the political intention of the popes of the Holy See, an intention to extend the system of domination of Western Christendom to distant lands in a spirit of “Christian empire” (Christiani imperii, in the Latin language of the bulls). This was to be accomplished by “reducing the barbarous nations” (ac barbarae nationes deprimantur) to subjection or domination.
The more egregious political language of those documents, going back to the Dum Diversas of 1452, expressed the directive to “invade, capture, vanquish, and subdue” non-Christians; “reduce their persons to perpetual slavery”; “take away all their possessions and property”; and “convert” the land, meaning to unlawfully or wrongfully take away that which belongs to another.
That kind of language provides us with the insight into what happens when free and independent nations and peoples have been invaded and deadly colonial patterns have been brutally imposed on them for generations, in the name of “the state” and Jesus. A resulting system of domination will then become “the space” within which Dr. Tonelli says that colonized people have fought to build “a new identity,” and within which they will perhaps “struggle for independence.”
However, this “new” identity will be a “colonized” rather than a liberated one. The colonized will then be working toward a form of independence under and subject to the imposed Christian European system of domination. Curiously, Dr. Tonelli’s account does not envision dominated (colonized) nations and peoples working to restore their original free and independent existence, by liberating themselves from the imposed system of Christian empire and domination.
Dominorum Christianorum: Christian Dominators
During a 2016 meeting with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, I said to Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, “With respect, I believe there is much of your own history you don’t know. Let me ask you, have you ever actually read the papal bulls” from the fifteenth century? He replied, “No, I must confess.” The point being that most Catholics and even some of the highest Church officials have never studied the Latin language of those Church documents, and certainly not from an Original Nations or Indigenous peoples’ perspective.
A book published by the U.S. Library of Congress, just a few years ago, contains replicas of the papal bull of September 26, 1493, the Dudum Siquidem. That line is taken from the middle of the papal bull dated May 3, 1493, “que sub dominio actuali temporali aliquorum dominorum Christianorum constitute non essent.” This refers to lands discovered and to be discovered in the future “that were not established under the domination of any Christian dominators.”
Whether the intent of domination expressed by that language is part of “official Church teachings” is irrelevant in my view. What is relevant is that, throughout the world, the present-day context and conditions experienced by “Indigenous” nations and peoples is an outgrowth of the patterns of domination and dehumanization expressed in those many documents issued centuries ago by the Holy See.
In State of the World’s Indigenous People (2009), published by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, there is section titled “The Concept of Indigenous Peoples.” After saying that no specific definition has been “adopted by any United Nations-system body,” an example of a “working definition” is provided. It refers to “Indigenous communities, peoples and nations” which have “a historical continuity with pre-invasion and pre-colonial societies that developed on their territories.” Terms such as “pre-invasion” and “pre-colonial” suggests a post-invasion and post-colonial period, or, in other words, after the claim of a right of domination has been asserted and maintained.
Furthermore, the international working definition says that Indigenous peoples “consider themselves distinct from other sectors of the societies now prevailing on those territories, or parts of them,” which means “now dominating.” It also says that Indigenous communities, peoples, and nations “form at present non-dominant sectors of society...” The opposite of the non-dominant is the dominant, or the dominating states, which are the non-Indigenous. Despite these clear connections, the UN working definition never uses the word domination. Nor does it focus on the fact that the phrase “Indigenous peoples” is accurately interpreted as meaning “dominated peoples.”
Here’s one thing the Vatican papal bulls are able to teach us: Over a period of more than five centuries, a system of domination (the dominio of the dominorum Christianorum) was globalized by means of the language patterns found in the Vatican papal bulls of the fifteenth century.
That system now serves as the linguistic and behavioral “space” in which colonized Indigenous peoples, without being aware of it, have been working to build an identity as dominated peoples within the framework of the United Nations, which is an organization of “states” of domination. The question arises: How do we end the global system of domination and its devastating effects on the planet?

So I was googling Gal Gadot because I was curios if she is in anything upcoming or what not, turns out she just had a baby, mazal tov to her and her family.
and there was a tik tok about her and one of the comments was something like didn't go where I expected so I thought oh maybe this is something positive about her
it was not, it really wasn't. and it is just so upsetting because I then when and looked at when this comedian did this set bc the tiktok was clip of this set and it was from april 2024 so it is after Oct 7th.
and I found the full and the full clip is even worse. and like I need to share this because it is so gross and antisemitic.
I do hope you will forgive me for sharing this disgusting antisemitic screed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3h6Rx7pWQKE
But I just need to not feel crazy and alone in finding this revolting.
WOWWW! This video is a little microcosm of modern day Jew-hate.
So get this! This little whiny ass bitch from Australia, who benefitted from growing up in Australia, is turning around and taking the GUILT he feels for having benefitted from living in an ACTUAL racist country that ACTUALLY genocided their indigenous population — and he's dumping that GUILT he feels onto Jews.
This whiny ass bitch actually has the fucking AUDACITY to call Jews the "Master Race."
This little BITCH has the fucking gall to call the Jews of Israel "white colonizers."
This just proves that he is slandering an entire country without even looking at pictures of the people of that country. Because nearly 70% of the Jews in Israel are from MENA countries. Jews are not white, but most of the Jews in Israel are not even "white passing."
This dude grew up on STOLEN LAND in Australia, and yet he's accusing the indigenous Jewish population of Israel, who came to Israel as refugees when they were ethnically cleansed by Muslims in MENA countries -- he's accusing these Middle Eastern Jews of being "white colonizers."
But I know what this dude is up to. He let his mask slip halfway through his set.
He said: "Australia is a fictional country."
This dude is a Muslim of Bangladeshi descent, who was born in Saudi Arabia, and he grew up living between Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Australia.
But from the age of 13 on, he lived in the suburbs of Melbourne, and that's where he grew up. He's an Australian.
And this little shit feels GUILTY about that.
And so what does he do with that guilt? Does he lay the blame on white people in Australia? Oh, no. That would be WAY too risky. He would be putting himself in danger there.
No. He does what every whiny bitch from Hadrian to Hitler has done.
He blames the Jews.
He LIES and calls the Jews the "Master Race."
He LIES and says that Jews are responsible for every societal evil.
All because he feels guilty for benefitting from growing up in the Melbourne suburbs. All because he feels guilty for growing up in the "fictional country" of Australia.
And that's not even touching on the question: Why does Bangladesh have a Muslim majority population?? Bangladesh is a country that used to be part of India, whose indigenous population are Hindu.
This dude didn't even TOUCH on Arab Muslim conquest and colonization in India, and in Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) countries.
I see right through him. I see what he's doing.
And I see through all of you bigots who use the rhetoric that this dude used in his set.
WE JEWS WILL NOT BE YOUR FUCKING DUMPING GROUND FOR YOUR GUILT.
You whiny bitches need to OWN your guilt. You need to OWN your shame.
If you grew up in Australia, the US, Canada, or anywhere else that genocided your indigenous populations, you need to sit and process that.
Stop using Jews as your fucking trash can for your guilt, you disgusting bigots.
We Jews are NOT your scapegoats.

Returning Soldiers (May, 1919)
(W.E.B. DuBois’ editorial in The Crisis about African American men returning from World War One.)
We are returning from war! The Crisis and tens of thousands of black men were drafted into a great struggle. For bleeding France and what she means and has meant and will mean to us and humanity and against the threat of German race arrogance, we fought gladly and to the last drop of blood; for America and her highest ideals, we fought in far-off hope; for the dominant southern oligarchy entrenched in Washington, we fought in bitter resignation. For the America that represents and gloats in lynching, disfranchisement, caste, brutality and devilish insult—for this, in the hateful upturning and mixing of things, we were forced by vindictive fate to fight also.
But today we return! We return from the slavery of uniform which the world’s madness demanded us to don to the freedom of civil garb. We stand again to look America squarely in the face and call a spade a spade. We sing: This country of ours, despite all its better souls have done and dreamed, is yet a shameful land.
It lynches.
And lynching is barbarism of a degree of contemptible nastiness unparalleled in human history. Yet for fifty years we have lynched two Negroes a week, and we have kept this up right through the war.
It disfranchises its own citizens.
Disfranchisement is the deliberate theft and robbery of the only protection of poor against rich and black against white. The land that disfranchises its citizens and calls itself a democracy lies and knows it lies.
It encourages ignorance.
It has never really tried to educate the Negro. A dominant minority does not want Negroes educated. It wants servants, dogs, whores and monkeys. And when this land allows a reactionary group by its stolen political power to force as many black folk into these categories as it possibly can, it cries in contemptible hypocrisy: “They threaten us with degeneracy; they cannot be educated.”
It steals from us.
It organizes industry to cheat us. It cheats us out of our land; it cheats us out of our labor. It confiscates our savings. It reduces our wages. It raises our rent. It steals our profit. It taxes us without representation. It keeps us consistently and universally poor, and then feeds us on charity and derides our poverty.
It insults us.
It has organized a nation-wide and latterly a world-wide propaganda of deliberate and continuous insult and defamation of black blood wherever found. It decrees that it shall not be possible in travel nor residence, work nor play, education nor instruction for a black man to exist without tacit or open acknowledgment of his inferiority to the dirtiest white dog. And it looks upon any attempt to question or even discuss this dogma as arrogance, unwarranted assumption and treason.
This is the country to which we Soldiers of Democracy return. This is the fatherland for which we fought! But it is our fatherland. It was right for us to fight. The faults of our country are our faults. Under similar circumstances, we would fight again. But by the God of Heaven, we are cowards and jackasses if now that that war is over, we do not marshal every ounce of our brain and brawn to fight a sterner, longer, more unbending battle against the forces of hell in our own land.
We return.
We return from fighting.
We return fighting.
Make way for Democracy! We saved it in France, and by the Great Jehovah, we will save it in the United States of America, or know the reason why.

Following Al Thawabet in Palestinian liberation is paramount because it is by those on the ground and centers those on the ground. I’ve tried relentlessly for the past 10 months to share this with my circle as soon as I learned about it. I saw principled Palestinian liberationists get widely ignored and yet Al Thawabet outside of our settler states here are what the Resistance Axis and factions follow, and what the Palestinians on the ground have held steadfast to in order to overcome the occupation and their imperialist allies.
Seeing my own circle cling to liberalism meanwhile asserting that because of their identities they’re entitled to holding elections that we know are wrong to hold on stolen land (Turtle Island) is hurting my heart fierce.
I’m so angry and barely have anyone to turn to to process all of this. But I know what’s right and I know what’s wrong - settler colonialism is the ‘root’ of all this terror, the primary contradiction. I’m not “a communist” or “a Marxist” or “an anarchist” etc; Frantz Fanon and Klee Benally and Kwame Ture have opened me up and I believe whole-heartedly in the global decolonial movements. Decolonization is key.
And I want to support the Resistance Axis. And I want to support African countries who are decolonizing. I’m learning about the success of the Algerian revolution in decolonizing from French occupation. I have been listening whenever I can to martyr Nizar Banat speak on corruption within PA and Western-led NGOs and about Liberal Zionist infiltration. Martyr Bassel Al Araj has many words and lessons left after his murder by IOF (don’t give in to defeatism whatever you do; do not circulate the news or media of the occupation; follow the principles of Al Thawabet). Martyr Ghassan Kanafani of the PFLP held steadfast to the principles, and rejected “peace talks” with the occupation.
Principled Palestinian liberationists have spoken about who liberationist accomplices are accountable to - it’s not our friends, family, employers, Zionists, liberals, other settlers, etc - we are accountable only to: the martyrs, the prisoners, those on the ground, the resistance axis and the principles they hold firmly.
I’ve tried holding conversations with my circle about this at the very least, and spend the rest of my time trying to self-educate even when I’m working, even when I’m tired. Everything I do these days reminds me of things I’ve learned and things I’ve witnessed. The lens is through all of that, even as I live isolated and mostly alone. I’m so hopeful and so enraged all at once.
I’m angry at the artists I like, the friends I’ve had for years; I’m angry at liberalism and at settler-chauvinism, and at the values of white supremacy that pervade our entire existence here in the settler-states. I’m angry at Zionism and at those who still want to laze about where they stand against it. I’m angry that my fellow queer friends are turning into selfish people when they should be the ones who know we cannot have our liberation on stolen land, and esp not before the fall of settler-colonialism. (Why do they talk up Leslie Feinberg when Leslie said: “I do not believe that our sexuality, gender expression and bodies can be liberated without making a ferocious mobilization against imperialist war and racism an integral part of our struggle."
Trans rights advocate/lawyer Chase Strangio admitted yesterday that he was going to vote for any Dem presented; that he must because he’s working “from the inside”. It made my insides twist up when he compared a principled act of not voting in these elections to “purism”. It made me sick to see commenters on his post applaud for him and say what he’s saying is “beautiful”. And it made me sicker to see many of my peers, who use hammer and sickles as accessories, shrug and say “me too, oh well” - and immediately start up with their nihilistic senses of humor about it. Like it’s funny. Like it’s a bad joke.
It’s been hard to feel close to anyone I know. I do liken it to watching people excuse Nazism - except settler-colonialism is tied just about to every cause of suffering globally (white supremacy, genocide and ethnic cleansing, gender violence, patriarchy, homophobia, colorism and racism, ableism, houselessness, resource theft, climate and eco destruction, capitalism). It’s hard to find people around me immediately who give a shit in a meaningful way.
As for me, I don’t want liberation just for me because I’m a settler on this land and I only see queer liberation as attainable only after we join the fight of decolonization against settler-colonialism. My peers, no matter what I present to them, no matter what I ask them about, no matter the conversations I’ve had with them or attempted to have, no matter the principled words and lessons shown - they only seem to want their’s, they only seem to delve further into selfish individualism that is directly perpetuating all this atrocity. I’m heartbroken at this.

The Profits Of Slavery And The Recompense Owed
Tumblr media
Imagine that your parent's or grandparent's house was invaded by bad men and their wealth and property was stolen. In addition, they were forced to work for these marauders, as were their children, without pay. Some time later on, you find yourself walking down the street and come across that house. It has been done up with lots of improvements and manicured gardens. Ask yourself how you would feel about the situation and the owners of the property now. These are the circumstances many Black people find themselves in. The progeny of gross injustices committed not so long ago in the bigger scheme of things. The profits of slavery and the recompense owed is something we need to talk about.

Talk About Recompensing The Enslaved So Woke
According to the right wing media, Rupert Murdoch’s minions, the anti-wokesters and their ilk this is all water under the bridge. The world has moved on and there is nothing to see here. The beautiful mansions with their gorgeous gardens are gentrified homes for the rich and privileged. Born into wealth these elites have inherited power and opportunity. History is something that happened in dusty old books. It has no bearing on today’s realities, according to the progeny of these white skinned winners of the economic race. This is one of the reasons why these descendants of the wealthy are keen to portray themselves as self-made men. Donald J Trump is the perfect example of just such a former rich kid turned celebrity billionaire who trumpets a narrative about being a self-made man. This story is a bunch of lies and exaggerations, as his father Fred Trump was a very wealthy property developer. “By the time Fred passed away in 1999, he’d amassed a fortune of around $300 million and gained a reputation as "the Henry Ford of the home-building industry." So how did the son of a German barber lay the foundations for the Trump Organization? – the man who watered down paint, was arrested at a KKK rally, and made "The Donald" an eight-year-old millionaire.” - (https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/realestate/meet-fred-trump-donald-s-scandalous-millionaire-father/ss-AA19misu)
Economic Productivity Whipped Into Profitability By Slavery
Slavery and the profits engendered by this barbarous practice filled the coffers of American and British families, businesses, and banks. Throughout the Americas and West Indies slavery was the economic model that many labour intensive activities were run on. The western world grew rich on the dividends of slavery in the sugar, cotton, and mining sectors in particular. Australia was home to blackbirding where Indigenous islanders were exploited in slave/servitude conditions for lifetimes by the families operating and owning plantations. This is not ancient history, this is relatively recently in terms of the economic impact it has had on the wealth of families, states, and nations. In the deep south of America, individual African American slaves had daily picking targets and were whipped if they did not surpass these. Studies by forensic economists have confirmed this by examining the extant books kept by the plantation managers. This in conjunction with the historical evidence left by the slaves themselves and their descendants reveals this vile state of affairs. The growth in productivity was driven by brute force. Slavery was no cake walk, as is often portrayed by the white descendants of the slave owners. Many white folk continue to believe that their ancestors were doing these black human beings a huge favour by enslaving them. Whipping them into shape perhaps? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUfMkIx7Ypg I know myself from working in target orientated business models, where pressure is exerted on the sales team and individual sales people to achieve and beat revenue targets how this works. Obviously, we were not whipped for falling short of productivity targets but I know how that economic model functions and the continued pressure that exerts on the individual. There was a class of slave bosses called overseers and it was these men who whipped the slaves to drive productivity and control the stock. Slaves were stock, considered to be like any other animal on the farm or plantation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1-zI-lwn8M “During Peter's enslavement on John and Bridget Lyons’ Louisiana plantation, Peter endured not just the indignity of slavery, but a brutal whipping that nearly took his life. And when he joined the Union Army after his escape from slavery, Peter exposed his scars during a medical examination. Raised welts and strafe marks crisscrossed his back. The marks extended from his buttocks to his shoulders, calling to mind the viciousness and power with which he had been beaten. It was a hideous constellation of scars: visual proof of the brutality of slavery.” - (https://www.history.com/news/whipped-peter-slavery-photo-scourged-back-real-story-civil-war)
Tumblr media
The United States of America fought a war over slavery called The Civil War in 1861-65. President Abraham Lincoln was murdered in its wake by Southerners hell bent on their revenge for losing that war and what it brought them economically. The violence generated by slavery and what it morphed into in the South and throughout the US never really went away. The 400 million guns currently residing in America may, also, have something to do with it as well. Imagine a vision of a New World built on the misery of millions of dark skinned human beings. “According to the 1860 census tables found on S. Augustus, Mitchell's 1861 Map of the United States... the population of the United States was 31,429,891 million, an increase of 8,239,016 as recorded in the 1850 census. Of those 31 million, as also reported on the tables accompanying the map, 3,952,838 were slaves. The map also provides statistics on the free and slave populations in each state as recorded in the 1850 and 1860 census.” - (https://www.loc.gov/rr/geogmap/placesinhistory/archive/2011/20110318_slavery.html#:~:text=AugustusMitchell's1861Mapof,themap3952838wereslaves.) America is not a happy place for many of its inhabitants. Poverty and entrenched economic unfairness are baked into the system there and in many Western nations. The world is not a fair and just place. However, there are those among us who seek to trade on the misery and unfairness for many of its inhabitants. These people and the system that supports their actions need to be stopped and brought to justice. The profits of slavery and the recompense owed must be realised. It is not a ‘woke’ issue in the way the dominant cohort within our populations proclaim, rather it is a very real economic fact. If the profits of slavery built our empires and hegemonies then a reckoning is due to balance the books for future generations. Capital gains must be added up and payments that should have been paid must be subtracted with all necessary interest. The truly amazing thing in all of this is how patient and gracious those dispossessed have been for so long. However, now it is time for a reckoning and dues must be paid. Indeed, what is overdue must be paid in full. This spring, Darity and his wife, Kirsten Mullen, made the most comprehensive case for a reparations program in their latest book “From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century.” They argue a meaningful program to eliminate the existing Black-White wealth gap requires an allocation of between $10 trillion and $12 trillion, or about $800,000 to each eligible Black household. But not everyone agrees that now is the time to pay reparations.  “Our national debt is already now up to around $26-27 trillion given the money we’re spending on Covid,” says Michael Tanner, senior fellow at the Cato Institute. “And we’re losing more money because we’re not picking up the revenue because economic growth is so slow right now. This hardly seems the time to burden the economy with more debt, more taxes. Essentially what you want to do is stimulate economic growth for all our benefits.” https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/12/slavery-reparations-cost-us-government-10-to-12-trillion.html Robert Sudha Hamilton is the author of Money Matters: Navigating Credit, Debt & Financial Freedom ©MidasWord Read the full article

Changeling the lost 2nd edition pirate bay
Tumblr media
The magnolia withers at a touch, revealing the decay at its center. The coal towns of Kentucky and the mill towns of the Carolinas bear witness to the economic deprivations of many Southerners. Poor whites continue to eke out a meager existence on subsistence farms in the mountains and in the Deep South, missing out on the privileges and prosperity claimed by their wealthy cousins in the Tidewater and Basin regions. Native Americans have not forgotten that these lands belonged to them until the ambitions of the white colonists cut them out of the American Dream. Southerners of African descent remember their ancestors’ enslavement by the plantation owners before the Civil War and the decades of segregation and Jim Crow laws. Old anger smolders in the breasts of those who do not forget, though. The willow stretches it branches to meet the winds of change. Here, they say, lies the future, and the people of the South will form the vanguard of tomorrow. Penetrating the stifling atmosphere of changelessness, a burst of anticipation stirs the hearts of Southerners. The clash of old guard against new breed manifests throughout both the mortal and changeling worlds of the Southern United States. His shrewd ambition and canny adaptability have helped propel Atlanta into the frenetic, competitive tempest of the modern world. Since his return during the Resurgence to the lands he occupied before the Shattering, he has dreamed of the future of his kingdom. King Meilge, scion of House Eiluned, rules his sun-dappled, fragrant realm from Willow’s Heart, his grand freehold set in the core of metropolitan Atlanta. One figure looms above all the other changelings in the Kingdom of Willows. Their stolen dreams seek a chance to make themselves heard once more. Here also reside remnants of older dreams: the Nunnehi, the dream children of the Native Americans who once populated the coastal plains and fertile valleys from the Atlantic to the Mississippi. The sidhe, though divorced from the region’s turbulent and often bloody history, nevertheless symbolize the stagnant dreams of the aristocracy to the commoners, whose own stories reflect the changing directions of the new South. TMZ Discusses Lineage-Based Reparations for Black Americans in California with AB3121 Task Force Chair Kamilah Moore
The ancestors been watching & waiting for this for us – their children, their descendants of U.S. chattel slavery. By states starting with Cali is one thing, but a federal rollout needs to be in close proximity. Y’all not getting off that easy. Everyone flooded here because of the dollar our ancestors bodies generated through forced labor and priced as stock to create this country’s wealth and “bootstraps” people have been pulled up from. The Dream off of the backs of the enslaved Americans.
Tumblr media
In 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said he was going down to Washington to get his check. Then they killed him.
Locking our Freedmen’s bank during the brief Reconstruction era. (Fuck you, Kamala. Get away from the damn bank.) Jim Crow. Burning and bombing our businesses. Redlining. White terrorism. Income disparity. The highest mortgages to us. The long list of our inventions out of enslavement denied the right to be patented by our ancestors. Just taken. Where the fuck is the straps for the boots people be talking about?
We’ve had 15 million acres of land stolen and left with damn near 1 million. (I can’t wait until y’all uncover the paperwork of y’all heirs property and/or the land your people were ran off from before heading west or north during the Great Migration for what they thought was “safety,” and now somebody or a corporation is occupying your said land 👀. Chile, getcho shit.)
What does reparations look like for Black Americans? We don’t want no programs. No grants. No scholarships. No bullshit. Just cut the check like it's been done for every other ethnic groups in this country or who’ve oddly received redress from this country at the hands of another country 🥴 without a problem, mumble or pushback.
"How much," especially annually per person, is only the business of those instructed to analyze the correct value amount for centuries deep repair & rebuilding and those whose accounts it will go into based on lineage. Stop pocket watching.
Also we need to be reclassified, but this time on our own terms and by which we agree to for fucking once. It’s time. African-American is an immigrant ethnicity, which Black Americans who are tied to this land have never been. I don’t understand why that’s so confusing for some, but I understand why Kamilah is using it: we don’t currently have another federally recognized name except for Black and we know how that goes. I’m convinced Jesse coon Jackson gave us that reclassification (African-American) on his own accord in the 1970s so we could appear to be untied to this land by ethnic name and eventually be invisible by Africans who rightfully identify with African-American or those who racially identify as Black but have a differing ethnicity.
Obama abolished Negro in law on his own accord, which is the given name on our people’s paperwork, kicked off in full during the reclassification of American Indians to Negro before the $5 Indian Dawes Rolls, which is a whole ‘nother rabbit hole story. The copper colored folks. (The Church of Latter Day Saints needs to release all those kept records. We know who’s been lying. Just show it.)
Jesse, Obama and everyone else knew what we were always heading to: Reparations. People who are not racially Black feeling a way is no surprise when their dream is to see us as a permanent underclass that they can latch onto to fight their battles, reap from or head into poverty, which has been projected to be zero by 2053 unless redress. Not happening.
But people who are racially Black feeling a way ain’t a damn shock either. That’s what they were positioned to do whether those who run for office or those who’ve been appointed as public figures, no matter African, Caribbean or (Pan-African - “it should be for everyone Black” or coon ass - “reparations is stupid and divisive” like Ben Carson) Black American.
Tumblr media
Have a fucking seat. Shit 😂.
The lies just to undermine us or latch on. Cut the fucking cord. Damn lol. In the past, we’ve included others and even muled for them to our own detriment without reciprocation. It’s lineage-based not race-based. I just can’t fathom how anyone can immigrate to a country headed by incoming white people and the descendants of colonizers who took the position of the long list of colonizers, experience race-based harm because they share our skin color, then continue to stay here at their own will in hopes to receive redress when they hear long-awaited “reparations” that were paused for people who share their skin color is on the way. Like...It ain’t clicking. Bitch, I could never. It’s beyond disrespectful and thievery again. Like shit..
Black Americans can literally trace our lineage under 30 minutes to the 1870 census, unless there were certain cases like adoption, for one example. That’s why there’s going to be genealogists aboard to help those who need assistance in looking through the United States’ heavily detailed and kept records dating back to the 1500s. It’s easy. On one line alone, I’m in the damn mid-1400s going into Europe 🥴. Black to Colored to Negro to Mulatto to former American Indian birth names and tribes to Europe, per this paperwork. You do the math.
Like I’ve said before, the U.S. keeps a receipt on everything and everyone who’s voluntarily immigrated here, they’ve assigned as enslavers or they’re purchased for forced labor. We know.

I'm with you on how terrible we found Fantastic Beasts. Now let me ask, how would you have written/built the Fantastic Beasts storyline?
I have not watched the 3rd movie so it’s possible that they have managed to turn it all around, but to start with I would give some actual connection to the movies beyond the title and characters. Otherwise it just feels like those children books: “X goes to the park”, “X in the supermarket”, where we see the same people in different situations but they are disconnected from each other.
I probably would have gone a different route all together, but suppose Warner has already hired the actors and started building the sets so we must use at least some elements from the movies. In that case I would make a story of discovery and reflection in three parts, with narcissism being the main theme.
First movie
Newt goes to NY with his magical bag. Most of the film is the same, but we get a sense of Newt being less childish (less painfully obvious and thinly surreptitious wand waving around muggles) and a bit more selfish. However, we should like him more for it.
Newt is, to the society of the time, completely mental. Rather than going on hunts and collecting trophies, he is recuing animals! I would emphasize that the animals he keeps have been compromised and can’t be safely returned to their habitats and since conditions and wizarding zoos are deplorable, he keeps them with him. The exception is that thunder bird he has come to release.
And that’s his goal, releasing the thunder bird, which he pursues with extreme focus. He doesn’t care about anything else which is why he is so open to Jacob the Muggle. Newt could be imprisoned* and Jacob would be obliviated into a stupor, but Newt doesn’t care about personal risks so he doesn’t care about the danger he poses to others. He is selfish that way. A generous kind of selfishness, sure, but dangerous.
I’m sorry, but the President of the MACUSA is not a woman nor a POC. It must be a white man surrounded by white men, one of whom might be either Catholic or Jewish and that’s all the diversity you see. Are there POC wizards? Yes. But not in positions of power. There is a bigger emphasis on the separation of wizards and No-Maj, with waaay more surveillance and harsher punishments. Suspicion alone may be enough to break your wand in some cases.
* And that’s how I could believe that POC wizards and witches (WWs from now on because “magicals” sounds weird) aren’t intervening in muggle spaces. They must be suffering similar levels of racism. They are tolerated, maybe they have better prospects that POC muggles, but that’s it. I can’t believe none of them would show some solidarity to the Non-Maj, unless it meant being summarily executed.
(Oh, and there would be this scene in which we see law-abiding and conscientious Tina stalking the house of an African-American muggle family. Nothing is said of it, other that Tina used to work with a muggle-born partner but now she works alone. Keen-eyed viewers will notice some hoodo trinkets in Tina’s flat, and a photograph of Tina with an African American woman, and then we will know).
I don’t remember Credence’s storyline very well, but it doesn’t matter. What is important is that Graves (powerful white man Graves) develops some sort of empathy. He doesn’t want it, but it’s there in his heart now. Maybe something with Newt’s animals. Some “beast” (look at how they say beasts and not animals) should have maimed and eaten Graves, but doesn’t because Newt is there in all his animal-loving glory. Graves gets to see the monster as merely a scared and hurt animal and learns to treat others with some decency and kindness.
That would be a nice classic movie, (prejudiced man gets over himself), but we can’t end it here. I would even allow for Tina’s scene stalking the house to be cut in order to have time for the climax: the moment when Graves realizes his society and his government may not always be right and defies direct orders by helping Credence. As I said, I don’t remember what the deal with Credence was, but Graves fixes it. There will be a personal cost to his career, but losing a promotion is nothing compared to saving a life, which is what he does. No ambiguous explosion or cloud of smoke. Credence is evidently and irrevocably safe at the cost of Graves being demoted.
There is no Gellert Grindelwald whatsoever, except maybe some government secretary mentioning they like that guy from Europe.
Second movie
Set in London rather than Paris. Newt receives the visit from a lovely, lovely, gentleman who, as it turns out, doesn’t think Newt is a fool. The charming gentleman asks Newt about the dragons, specifically the ones in Gringotts and oh, oh, Newt is against it. It’s abominable and unethical. But Newt would rather not think too much about it because, what can he do? He would rather focus on helping those he can and on spreading his thoughts on animal conservation. He is publishing a journal, although he admits it doesn’t do too well. He has twelve subscribers and seven of them openly mock his papers during dinner parties.
The charming gentleman says, but what if Newt could do something about it? What would Newt be willing to do? Would he break the law?
Newt laughs. He is forbidden from leaving the country. He is no stranger to jumping, crossing, tampering or breaking the law.
Marvelous! The charming gentleman reveals that he, like Newt, is unhappy with their society. It is weak and corrupt* and someone must do something about it. They have to fix it.
So the charming gentleman introduces Newt to some other like-minded friends and together they plan a heist to get into Gringotts and release the dragons. It is time to build a society one can feel proud of!
We get the heist, which is clever and delightful. The charming gentleman is brave, smart and powerful with his magic. There is a moment when some of the co-conspirators, and even the charming gentleman himself, get inside some vaults. This is not what they had planned! Not at all. But the charming gentleman assures Newt that he has good reasons.
They get out. And here comes the Nagini moment. Meaning I really, really, really, don’t need to see an Asian woman condemned to whatever that was in the second movie. I don’t need to have beautiful Neville kill a woman who has been turned into a snake and then a Horcrux.
But, do you want an “oh no” moment? Here it comes.
Because of the heist, Gringotts revises their security measures. That poor dragon in Deathly Hallows? The one with scars who had been conditioned to fear a certain sound? Newt’s fault. And the charming gentleman doesn’t care.
We have established in the previous movie that Newt is somewhat selfish and short-sighted. He rejects his society and cares only about his animals which is very nice. Newt is well intentioned, but that is not enough. Not caring about politics is the privilege of those in the elite (and despite Newts’ eccentricities he is very much the elite). The previous movie had Graves’ awakening. The man discovering something about himself in this movie is Newt.
Newt realizes that he must be an active participant in society. Sadly, he only realizes it after he has helped Gellert Grindelwald steal a number of very important artefacts as well as some gold to fund his project to reform Europe.
The epilogue of the movie has Albus Dumbledore visiting Newt, telling him not to be too hard on himself because he, Dumbledore, also fell for Gellert lies. And if Newt wants to do something about it, Dumbledore has some ideas.
* History fans might not realize immediately, but hopefully they will catch on the fact that all of the beautiful arguments from the charming gentleman are about weakness of the state, which is a common fascist trope.
Third movie
In which characters from previous movies are brought back without having to completely destroy their personalities.
Graves is in Europe and he pays a visit to Newt to ask for his help. Graves is using his new found empathy (that he didn’t want) to investigate a series of highly suspicious murders and incidents. The victims were all Latinas so it was dismissed, but Graves thinks there is something.
Two scenes later in comes Tina, who has quitted her job in order to track the murderer of some friend’s friend. An African American child is dead, no it was not the No-Maj, it was someone else, someone who wanted to cover their tracks and leave no witnesses and Tina is going to eat their heart.
Is it possible that Graves and Tina are after the same person? Yes and no. It is two different henchmen but Dumbledore has no trouble going beyond the small picture to see the pattern. He knows Grindelwald always had an interest in powerful artefacts, not just the Deathly Hallows.
Grindelwald has stolen the Macguffin, a powerful artefact belonging to a Latin-American community. With that and the Elder Wand he will be unstoppable. Oh no!
But! Newt realizes there is something missing. The raven is not a symbol of death in all cultures. Grindelwald might not fully understand what he has taken or how to use it.
So Graves and Tina go fight Grindelwald’s organization and be awesome together, delaying Grindelwald’s big coup. Meanwhile, Newt illegally leaves the country, goes back to NY, takes Queenie and deploys her. Because Queenie is nice. She plays the vapid pretty woman, but she is above all nice and if someone can make a hurt and distrustful community open their door to strangers, it is going to be Queenie with the help of Jacob’s bread.
And, indeed! They succeed. The bruja Latina explains about the Macguffin. Grildelwald doesn’t understand what he has stolen. It is not meant to be used like that at all.
They go back to Europe quickly, Newt relays this information to Dumbledore and he steps to his duel with Grindelwald armed with the knowledge and insight that comes from showing some measure of respect to other people for once.
(And if it seems that Dumbledore’s victory rests on other people’s work, well, Dumbledore’s main trait is his ability to earn people’s trust and devotion. But I guess Newt and Queenie could have brought the bruja with them and after a nice chat with Dumbledore she agrees to share their secrets with him, so he has the opportunity to show he is different).
Rather than having a man realize something, this movie is about the consequences of not opening your eyes: Gindelwald’s fall. It would also nicely establish Dumbledore’s best manipulative traits. If we must have het couples, Tina saves Newt’s from some mook and taker a kiss. Graves goes with the pretty Lestrange, I guess, to have a long life of morality sanctioned crimes.
(A TV show. Twelve episodes. Cancelled after the first season. Graves and Lestrange are back in the States helping oppressed communities and dodging the MACUSA and whatever the equivalent of the FBI was back then).

Leave the Ruins Where They Lie - chapter 12
No, you definitely didn't see me accidentally post this as chapter 11 shhhhhhh.
AO3 link here
Chapter 12
The museum does not look like much. It is Steph’s first thought when she rounds the corner and sees the building that will be her loot’s new home. A grey cinderblock buiding with prison-bar windows, she would not call it grand, more imposing. If she were in Gotham she probably would have assumed it was some kind of dingy office block or administration building, the kind that would be tucked away far from the glitzy Diamond District. It is, however, charming in its own way. The gardens are full of lush trees and shrubs, and also a cannon that Steph would like to think is actually functional, though she didn’t read the sign. A gaggle of small children chatter outside, near the front steps, gleefully ignoring their exasperated teachers. The whole thing is blissfully normal.
Inside, she buys a ticket from a bored young woman, surprised by the low cost, and steps into another world.
The ceiling is low and the lights dim, like a cave, and filled with treasures. A flash of gold from the corner of her eye, dazzling jewels, brightly beaded tunics and headdresses - unworn for centuries - displayed with as much pride as the precious jewels that would fetch a far greater price. She walks as if in a daze, like Aladdin in the djinn’s cave, and all her worries about being able to enjoy this trip that was business as much as fun melt away to nothing. She had not paid for a tour, but a museum worker takes pity on her anyway, this poor awestruck tourist, and tells her the stories of the artefacts encased in glass, the kings who wore that crown, the people who made those bowls, who donned that armour and tossed those spears, the children who played with those toys. He shows her the bones of Lucy, Dinkinesh, one of humankind’s earliest ancestors, and, next to her, Selam. There are photo reconstructions and Steph gazes at their faces, feels time unspooling between them, and there is a connection there between Steph in her ratty backpack and bright clothes, standing on her own two feet, and the quiet strength in Lucy’s jaw and brow, the joy in the bright grin that splits the child Selam’s face, their shared soft brown eyes. They were people, once, in their own way. They were born, they had families, loved, lost, laughed, lived, then died. And now, all these millions of years later, Steph has found them again for the first time.
It isn’t that they didn’t learn about this in school, they did, just that Steph hadn’t quite grasped that it was real.
There are tears in her eyes. Her impromptu guide says nothing as she wipes them away, just looks at her with understanding. She wonders what toys Selam played with, how similar life over three million years ago was to now, in all the important ways. They will never know the answers, only rough approximations at best, every aspect of the lives they lived reduced to dust and imprints left in stone. The evidence of them, the things they loved, the remains of those they cared for, trapped behind glass forever.
By the time three hours have passed and her tour is over, her and her guide have struck up quite the rapport. Steph has never been afraid to ask questions, and makes good use of his presence to find answers to every thought that crosses her mind. Sure, she has lied to him (he thinks she’s an anthropology and archeology double major from a made up college on the west coast) but every question she asks and comment she makes, all her interest and starry-eyed wonder, comes from the the heart. She had asked why some of the display cases were empty, and he had explained that European museums liked to borrow their exhibits to tour, or, sometimes, that the missing artefacts were part of a set that had been stolen or looted during the days when white men roamed the African continent looking for wonders to cart back home. Leaving a gap is a statement of intent, of protest: they will get their history back some day, some how, and when they do it will be displayed in that empty space. One day the museum will be full, and the stories complete once more.
They return to the front entrance and Steph has done absolutely none of what she was meant to do. She has not cased the joint, has not taken stock of entrances and exits, of security measures and how the guard rotations work, has not found any potential hiding places for her precious cargo. Steph has a good memory, has a mental map in her head of every exhibit and plaque, but she has no idea how she’s meant to succeed in her mission. There’s nothing she can do about it now, though. She’ll just have to wing it - it’s what she does best after all. Despite the worry lingering in the back of her mind - where she shoved it when it came to the surface - she is glad she did not once think of the mission, that she has learnt something, enjoyed something, in this first trip out of Gotham.
Her guide shakes her hand, scribbles down his email address on a leaflet at the front desk (ostensibly so she can contact him if she wants any of his input for future school projects, in reality, Steph just likes talking to him and thinks Tim probably would too). “Thanks,” she tell him, sincerely, “and for what it’s worth, I’m sorry for everything my people have done to yours, for all that your country has lost because of us.” He grins, bright and wide, but nods gravely. “Thank you for your kindness, Stephanie. I wish you safe travels, and good luck in your studies.”
She waves as she walks backwards down the steps, and he waves back before slipping away into the museum proper.
She takes the long way back to the hostel, winding down the quieter streets, through green parks and past towering churches. She stops at a grocery store and buys some bread and soft cheese and a couple of truly enormous tomatoes so she could have sandwiches for lunch the next few days. Her hostel room was graced with a teeny tiny mini refrigerator and she intends to use it. By the time she gets back to her room it is almost time for dinner, so she takes a quick shower, cold and refreshing, and tosses her clothes back on before heading down for whatever the hostel has to offer.
Taking a bowl of stew - she doesn’t dare ask what’s in it, not when the kitchen staff glare at her, and the queue behind her stretches almost out the door - she retreats to the long bench at the back of the cafeteria. It’s just like a school lunch hall, food served at the front, long bench tables at the back, except for the open ceiling, the massive palm tree in the middle of the room and the borehole to fill waterbottles. She chats shit with some of the other guests - a backpacker from the Netherlands, a South African architect, a Canadian med student on a weeklong break from the aid camp she’s working in over summer vacation. They’re so so cool, and Steph - 16 and feeling every year they have over her - cannot match up to them. They think she’s cute, spunky; they think she’s mature. They think she is what Gotham made her, but they do not see her as an equal. It’s a shame really, because Steph would like to be friends with them.
The Dutch backpacker at least knows where the really cool places to visit are, which means she gets the insider scoop on where she should go tomorrow, but does mean she now has no plans for the evening. Her new ‘friends’ are going drinking. Steph cannot.
Instead of opening google maps or trip advisor when she gets back to her room, Steph opens up her messages and drops Tim a line. He responds immediately, as if he’d been waiting for her, with a barrage of questions. Steph couldn’t hope to answer them all, even if she tried, and she doesn’t intend to try. dude, calm down she tells him. It doesn’t work, because of course it doesn’t. tell me EVERYTHING he replies, and, well, that she can do.

It is said that one of the europeans biggest pleasures was blowing a line of mummy dust, and thinking that would make them immortal.
Yeah, we know how that works out - because we have a living example of this stupidity happening right now in africa; called kush
youtube
THIS IS NOT A RELIGION THIS IS A DRUG PROBLEM
Stop listening to people telling you what they heard from someone who made it all up. Use African Traditional Religions as they are intended. Let the gravediggers have the bones and lies

freer by chisomkanma
In this generation we are freer. We do not appreciate this for our knowledge of the painful past in our heads is shallow. In this generation we are freer. Freer to love who we wish in the shadows of curtains that reflect on the naked bodies intertwined in sweet unison. Freer to dance on the shores and never be considered mad but to be envied for our peace. Freer to bask in our vanity to the point that we earn our livings from it. Freer to diagnose ourselves with the pain that aches our soul and search for cures. Freer to soar to high lengths politically and unite or tear apart the word with our radical thinking. Freer to go against gender idealisms and make for ourselves what we were truly called to be. Freer to scream down the man when he forced us to suck under the tits of restriction and ideals. Freer to go against orders and be made the hero for it. Freer to think past religion and sects and worship ourselves instead.
We never appreciate it. We never know the joys this privilege holds. As I read the histories of the less popular heroes, unlike the known stories of he who made a country independent or he who sailed around the world, I realized we have so much more to be appreciative of. Once upon a time a woman was told she could not be an author in the heart of the Eiffel and fought till her name was heard. Another man had put to jail many a criminal but was never given the recognition because of his colour. A woman stopped the killing of twins in the west of the African plains, going against the crude traditions. The women who faced torture in the behind the bars for they dared to ask for their fundamental right to vote. A couple, white and brown married in the first legal attempt to love. A woman who’s child was stolen from the suckle of her tit because she loved another woman. The poet and writer jailed in the midst of his creative genius for he saw the fair skin of the mature golden haired lad to whom he gave all his love. A married man wore his wife’s dresses in public for the sake of the little game they played for the sake of erotica. Rich history we neglect, distracted by vanity.
So we must remember; when she storms into conference rooms filled with people awaiting her presence and is welcomed with hearty cheers. Her skirt hugging her curves for that is only her choice of cloth. Never taken less serious for we are judged now by what we have to bring to the table and not the way we dress. The toxic masculinity steaming down so the open mindedness of a man shall finally set in and allow him function properly. When she steps up the podium to give a speech to the whole world and it stops for she is loud and proud and her words through the atmosphere resounds.
So we must remember; when he can walk through the world with his hands in his pocket without being shot down for fear he holds a weapon. Abolishing the belief that the darker the skin shade the more the evil that lies in it’s pores. Right now it only seems the darker the skin the more pain and trauma anticipated only for the response of the world. When race is no longer what guides our ways of life. And we all merge into the beautiful colours intentionally created to live in complete unison. As we no longer rate each other by stereotypes but stay restoring our cultures and adapting new ones together as a race and a family. As we no longer put each other at different ends of an incomprehensible food chain and are free to move and dream just for the face that we are human. When we realize there is only once race, the human race.
So we must remember; when she cuts her hair and ties her bosom in a cloth so tight it holds each breath. As he applies the finishing touches to his makeup on his way to work. When we realise that we have the freedom to be whoever we wish to be and appearance, like art, is a way of expressing the true self one chooses to be. As I walk in the store with my sisters and brothers to buy a pair of heels for the party we are to attend. As she decides to go topless to the function.
So we must remember; when we spend weekends where ever we wish for religion is no longer being forced down our throats like hard hot coals. When we flow free through the universe choosing to reverse who ever and whatever we wish. Going to church only to have true connections with our lord. Bowing at the temple for we knelt down on our own accord. Singing at the shrine for the songs of the gods touch our eyes as drops of true satisfaction graze the ground. Or standing still and soaking up the energy of the universe with each breath. For we choose this, it was not passed down to our generation.
So we must remember; when he stands at the corner of the crowded room with loud music playing in the background and his eyes meet the love of his life. When they both meet in the center of the room hand in hand and spun to the beat that played as the crowd cheered in acceptance as it would every couple. When their beards grazed as they went in for the slow dance, the first one they would have. The one they would recall in fond memories to their children and grandchildren for generations to come. The one they would recall at family and friend gatherings as smiles light up the table in imagination of the beautiful story. When they toast to a good life on their wedding day, each of them splashed with the colour of the rainbow.
So we must remember; when they march to the center of the war that the strong headed have irrational spun to fight radical anger with radical peace till all is won. When we come up with treaties that are followed and the new generation war leaders become peace conductors. When each sect drops down the fire and ice to coexist with much pain but too many joys at the end. When head wraps, long garments, and green army cloth are laid down on the floor to dry up all the blood. When the splashes to be heard hitting the concrete could only be the rain and the bangs in the sky heard far and wide is thunder.
So we must remember; as the mutilation stops and the education drops. When the girls with covered hair sit with smiles on their faces to learn what is said in school. All sexes with hands held reading the texts for the words taught. When the abduction of fellow man starts only for the reason that they are another culture. When world domination is not the only goal and we only wish to live sweet lives in body and in soul.
So we must remember; when the words flow from the tips of her fingers. Vigorously typing whatever she feels without fear of what the elders would think for she is free from their scorn and backward ways. They only scorn with jealously for they wish they had only realized this freedom sooner. As she goes on to publish best sellers of collections of thoughts that everyone believes in. As she is the medium of expression for many who stay afraid, quiet and silent. She knows nothing lurks in the shadows but a better tomorrow where freedom is even freer and our ideologies do not stop us from achieving true peace.
So we must appreciate our freedom for what it is worth. Be thankful to our ancestors for what it cost. And with all this beauty we shall soon burst. And peace and unity to all the world.

Stolen from Twitter
I owe my Trump-supporting friends an apology.  I’ve been critical of the Trump presidency these last four years, and am still exhausted from the experience. But to be fair, President Trump wasn’t that bad, other than when he incited an insurrection against the government, mismanaged a pandemic that killed nearly half a million Americans, separated children from their families, lost those children in the bureaucracy, tear-gassed peaceful protesters on Lafayette Square so he could hold a photo op holding a Bible in front of a church, tried to block all Muslims from entering the country, got impeached, got impeached again, had the worst jobs record of any president in modern history, pressured Ukraine to dig dirt on Joe Biden, fired the FBI director for investigating his ties to Russia, bragged about firing the FBI director on TV, took Vladimir Putin’s word over the US intelligence community, diverted military funding to build his wall, caused the longest government shutdown in US history, called Black Lives Matter a “symbol of hate,” lied nearly 30,000 times, banned transgender people from serving in the military, ejected reporters from the White House briefing room who asked tough questions, vetoed the defense funding bill because it renamed military bases named for Confederate soldiers, refused to release his tax returns, increased the national debt by nearly $8 trillion, had three of the highest annual trade deficits in U.S. history, called veterans and soldiers who died in combat losers and suckers, coddled the leader of Saudi Arabia after he ordered the execution and dismembering of a US-based journalist, refused to concede the 2020 election, hired his unqualified daughter and son-in-law to work in the White House, walked out of an interview with Lesley Stahl, called neo-Nazis “very fine people,” suggested that people should inject bleach into their bodies to fight COVID, abandoned our allies the Kurds to Turkey, pushed through massive tax cuts for the wealthiest but balked at helping working Americans, incited anti-lockdown protestors in several states at the height of the pandemic, withdrew the US from the Paris climate accords, withdrew the US from the Iranian nuclear deal, withdrew withdrew the US from the Trans Pacific Partnership which was designed to block China’s advances, insulted his own Cabinet members on Twitter, pushed the leader of Montenegro out of the way during a photo op, failed to reiterate US commitment to defending NATO allies, called Haiti and African nations “shithole” countries, called the city of Baltimore the “worst in the nation,” claimed that he single handedly brought back the phrase “Merry Christmas” even though it hadn’t gone anywhere, forced his Cabinet members to praise him publicly like some cult leader believed he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, berated and belittled his hand-picked Attorney General when he recused himself from the Russia probe, suggested the US should buy Greenland, colluded with Mitch McConnell to push through federal judges and two Supreme Court justices after supporting efforts to prevent his predecessor from appointing judges, repeatedly called the media “enemies of the people,” claimed that if we tested fewer people for COVID we’d have fewer cases, violated the emoluments clause, thought that Nambia media, stopped holding press briefings for months at a time, “ordered” US companies to leave China even though he has no such power, led a political party that couldn’t even be bothered to draft a policy platform, claimed preposterously that Article II of the Constitution gave him absolute powers, tried to pressure the U.K. to hold the British Open at his golf course, suggested that the government nuke hurricanes, suggested that wind turbines cause cancer, said that he had a special aptitude for science, fired the head of election cyber security after he said that the 2020 election refused to go along with his unconstitutional Muslim travel ban, hired Stephen Miller, openly discussed national security issues in the dining room at Mar-a-Lago where everyone could hear them, “stand back and stand by,” fucked up the Census, withdrew the U.S. from the World Health Organization in the middle of a pandemic did so few of his duties that his press staff were forced to state on his daily schedule “President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings,” allowed his staff to repeatedly violate the Hatch Act, Part 3 continues… seemed not to know that Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, stood before sacred CIA wall of heroes and bragged about his election win, constantly claimed he was treated worse than any president which presumably includes four that were assassinated and his predecessor whose legitimacy and birthplace were challenged by a racist reality TV show star named Donald Trump, claimed Andrew Jackson could’ve stopped the Civil War even though he died 16 years before it happened, said that any opinion poll showing him behind was fake, claimed that other countries laughed at us before he became president when several world leaders were literally laughing at him, claimed that the military was out of ammunition before he became President, created a commission to whitewash American history, retweeted anti-Islam videos from one of the most racist people in Britain, claimed ludicrously that the Pulse nightclub shooting wouldn’t have happened if someone there had a gun even though there was an armed security guard there, hired a senior staffer who cited the non-existent Bowling Green Massacre as a reason to ban Muslims, had a press secretary who claimed that Nazi Germany never used chemical weapons even though every sane human being knows they used gas to kill millions of Jews and others, bilked the Secret Service for higher than market rates when they had to stay at Trump properties, apparently sold pardons on his way out of the White House, stripped protective status from 59,000 Haitians, falsely claimed Biden wanted to defund the police, said that the head of the CDC didn’t know what he was talking about, tried to rescind protection from DREAMers, gave himself an A+ for his handling of the pandemic, tried to start a boycott of Goodyear tires due to an Internet hoax, said U.S. rates of COVID would be lower if you didn’t count blue states, deported U.S. veterans who served their country but were undocumented, claimed he did more for African Americans than any president since Lincoln, touted a “super-duper” secret “hydrosonic” missile which may or may not be a new “hypersonic” missile or may not exist at all, retweeted a gif calling Biden a pedophile, forced through security clearances for his family, suggested that police officers should rough up suspects, suggested that Biden was on performance-enhancing drugs, tried to stop transgender students from being able to use school bathrooms in line with their gender, suggested the US not accept COVID patients from  a cruise ship because it would make US numbers look higher, nominated a climate change sceptic to chair the committee advising the White House on environmental policy, retweeted a video doctored to look like Biden had played a song called “Fuck tha Police” at a campaign event, hugged a disturbingly large number of U.S. flags, accused Democrats of “treason” for not applauding his State of the Union address, claimed that the FBI failed to capture the Parkland school shooter because they were “spending too much time” on Russia, mocked the testimony of Dr Christine Blasey Ford when she accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, obsessed over low-flow toilets, ordered the rerelease of more COVID vaccines when there weren’t any to release, called for the construction of a bizarre garden of heroes with statutes of famous dead Americans as well as at least one Canadian (Alex Trebek), hijacked Washington’s July 4th celebrations to give a partisan speech, took advice from the MyPillow guy, claimed that migrants seeking a better life in the US were dangerous caravans of drug dealers and rapists, said nothing when Vladimir Putin poisoned a leading opposition, never seemed to heed the advice of his wife’s “Be Best” campaign, falsely claimed that mail-in voting is fraudulent, announced a precipitous withdrawal of troops from Syria which not only handed Russia and ISIS a win but also prompted his defense secretary to resign in protest, insulted the leader of Canada, insulted the leader of France, insulted the leader of Britain, insulted the leader of Germany, insulted the leader of Sweden (Sweden!!), falsely claimed credit for getting NATO members to increase their share of dues, blew off two Asia summits even though they were held virtually, continued lying about spending lots of time at Ground Zero with 9/11 responders, said that the Japanese would sit back and watch their “Sony televisions” if the US were ever attacked, left a NATO summit early in a huff, stared directly into an eclipse even though everyone over the age of 5 knows not to do that, called himself a very stable genius despite significant evidence to the contrary, refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power and kept his promise, and a whole bunch of other things I can’t remember at the moment. But other than that. . . Please share. This is how history books will read, because these are PROVABLE FACTS! Truth

Proper reference for My Deputy! Here’s some backstory for those who like reading: Kiara was born in South Africa and lived with her dad on a farm in the veld, and she never really knew her mother, so she grew up with her dad who taught her how to ride horses, camp, and he loved spending nights in the veld (which just means like in the open African wilds) with her. Though, one very real problem was always on her fathers mind.. Farm murders.. (which is a very real thing in South Africa) whites who lived on farms were targeted by blacks, due to past problems, apartheid, which is how her mother died. But he never told her that, how could he? Her father would call her his "Wolf" because she LOVED dogs and wolves, and never had struggles getting by on her own in the veld, as she grew older she saw the deeper meaning, which we'll come back to later.  As she reached her teens, around 17 of age, she already knew how to hunt, use firearms and survive out in the wild, but she always had her father to help her. Her weapon of choice has always been a bow however. One day when she came back from a hunt, with her dog by her side, the dog started barking wildly as they came closer to the house, in a way he would bark if a predator was near.. She knew something was wrong, and rushed inside with her bow drawn, she cried to her father with no response. The farm has never been this quiet before.. no birds, no farm critters, chickens, nothing. She ran upstairs to find her father in his room, a letter clenched in his hand, and a large black man towering over his body, a pistol in his hand. Out of fury and fear, Kiara put an arrow right between his eyes, through the back of his head. This was the first time that she had killed someone.. To save time, Im not going too deep into the letter, so lets just skip ahead a few years Oh but also, she knew it wasnt any robbery, because nothing was stolen, nothing was broken, all that was taken, was her father's life. So she spent the next few years shifting from living in the veld and motels, she could not return to school. Her life to her had been perfect, and it all fell apart like it were a bad dream she wished she could just wake up from. The heaviest burden was not her fathers death, but that she felt that it was her fault.. she wasnt home.. she could have saved him.. She should have saved him..  An important item- Her father gave her a hunting knife, on its handle, there was a slot that a cross token could fit into. So she carried the knife, and her father the token around his neck, to carry a part of each other with them at all times. He had made that knife and token himself for her. It was the most important item to her. She took it with her EVERYWHERE, and would beat up anyone who dared touch it.She took the token, now carrying it as a necklace and carried the knife with her as a promise of justice.  Ahead in the future, she joined the police force, and raised to the top of her class quite quickly due to her experience. Academies in Montana saw her progress, and would pay for a one way ticket if she would join the academy there. This was in her early 20's. Though Montana was different, there was no veld, no tribes in the wilds of Montana, the flora and fauna were different, and the people were.. Kinder? She promised her father justice, and joined the police, graduating top of her class once again. Many at the academy bullied her, how did she know how to use a pistol so well? Had she killed before? What illegal past had she hidden from them? She NEVER opened up about herself to anyone. No one had ever been there for her other than her father, so why would anyone new? And so on, she finally got assigned to Hope county, as her first arrest, which they said would be easy- Also my story differs from the canon story, but the main elements are still there. So her tattoo, As I said earlier, her father called her "Wolf" She came to understand why, when she got the tattoo, while she was in the academy. The Wolf is a symbol of independence, strength, and to show that she wanted to see herself as a pack alpha, but she knew, mostly, it just showed that she was a loner, She was fearless, she didn't fear death nor torture, she could handle herself, but she has one fear, one fear that would tear apart all her strength in a blink of an eye. Rape, which she had experienced multiple times in her years alone- The rose is a symbol of love, softness and care. She cares about everyone, wants to save everyone, no matter who they are or how well she knows them. She never wants ANYONE to feel the pain she had been through, thus, she tries to help anyone she can, whether it be emotional, or physical. The rose is a reminder to her, her father told her that it is good to be brave and strong, but in the end, nothing is more important than love, friends and relationships. Her father raised her Christian, and her morals were clear. The rose saddens her however, she has so much love to give, but never had anyone to give it to.. Kiara has one Super weapon though, one that cannot be taken away. Honesty. She ALWAYS, ALWAYS keeps her word, and rarely lies. If she says she will do something, she does it, even if it takes years to do. This, however makes her powerful, for if she tells someone something, they ALWAYS believe her, if they have known her long enough. The resistance follows her every command because of this. She is never questioned, because she never lies.. or does she..?

Cherishing Columbus is a characteristic of white history, not American history.
“in fourteen hundred and nightly three, Columbus stole all he could see.”
Someone recently said to me that America has the greatest propaganda system ever created. Then my mom said to me that the people protecting the Columbus statue at Marconi Plaza in south philly probably do not know all the horrible things he represents. That I am blessed to have an education and an interest that is more expansive. She said they don’t know what they are depending. So I decided to compile a list of the things that make Columbus basically one of the worst historical figures. He is known for two things. 1- stealing the land and the genocide of indigenous peoples. 2- starting the transatlantic slave trade. I have provided ample primary sources as evidence. I am not clear on where the confusion lies….willful ignorance? Thats as kind as I can go.
So one concern may be that its not right to judge historical figures based on todays standards. Columbus was a slaver and a pedophile. The founders were slavers and the Greeks were pedophiles but we revere them. The point is not that Columbus did these things, the point is the way he did them was barbaric and inhuman. The point is that Columbus was not just a slaver or pedophile but a war criminal who committed atrocities against indigenous peoples and stole their lands. But MY point is that the story of Columbus has an insidious message, the history we teach our children is full of lies created as a system of propaganda and myth building. The myth of Columbus teaches us to identify with the oppressor, to ignore the perspective of those the land was stolen from, and the rhetoric of discovery implies only the feats of the white man matters.
“Not understanding their past renders many Americans incapable of thinking effectively about our present and future”
“Students of the dominant social group are taught lies in the guise of fact creating an ‘inverted world’ view which hide the unjust distribution of power in the past so they do not have the tools to identify them in the future.”
Myth: Columbus was bold and brave, ahead of his time while his crew was fearful of sailing over the edge of the world. “The people of your earth believed the earth to be flat; Columbus proved it was round.“-star trek
Fact: In Columbus’s time all educated people and most sailors believed the earth was a sphere.
Proof: It looks round. It casts a circular shadow on moon. Sailors see its roundness when ships disappear over the horizon, hull first, then sails.
Proof: Washington Irving made up flat earth fable in 1828
Propaganda: The lie makes Columbus a man of science who corrected our faulty geography That those who direct social enterprises are more intelligent than those nearer the bottom.
2. Myth: Columbus on the first voyage with the pinta, Nina, and Santa Maria braved a dangerous journal and the crew almost mutinied.
Fact: It was smooth sailing and at worst rained only the last day when they knew they were close to land
Fact: there was no mutiny, at best some grumpy sailors
Fact: the journey was no more than a month and they stopped at the Canary Islands and were given aid.
Propaganda: Columbus bravely succeeded in an arduous journey even while dealing with superstitious sailors.
3. Myth: Columbus was a skilled navigator and leader who hid the distance of his journey from the crew so they would not think they had gone too far from home.
Fact: Columbus had false entries in the log of Santa Maria to keep the route to the Indies secret. Columbus was a less experienced navigator than the Pinzon brothers who captained the Nina and Pinta
Proof: Columbus admits this later in his journal
Proof: argument from Salvador de Madariaga that we would have to think the others on the voyage were fools. Columbus had no special method available only to him whereby distances sailed could be more accurately reckoned than by the other pilots and masters
Propaganda: Those at the top are smarter than those at the bottom. Columbus was a genius navigator.
4. Myth: Columbus died alone and poor without recognition for his deeds
Fact: Columbus died well off.
Proof: He left his airs well endowed with the title: ‘Admiral of the Ocean Sea’ now carried by his 18th generation descendant
Propaganda: Columbus’s story is a tragedy of a brave man wrongly treated by the world
5. Myth: Columbus did not know he had reached a ‘new’ continent
Fact: He knew.
Proof: His journal entries
Propaganda: to humanize Columbus and maximize his greatness
6. Myth: Columbus discovered a ‘New World’
Fact: It was new only to Europeans
Proof: People had lived in Americas for thousands of years
Propaganda: the white European conquest was right and natural. Implies we have a right to this land and subtly says it was empty of anyone who mattered
Propaganda: justifies American exceptionalism and natural right to the world. In 1989 President George H.W. Bush invoked Columbus as a role model for the nation: “Christopher Columbus not only opened the door to a New World, but also set an example for us all by showing what monumental feats can be accomplished through perseverance and faith.”
7. Myth: Columbus ‘discovered’ America
Fact: Columbus not the first to discover America but the last
Fact: the rhetoric of discovery has been used to justify the stolen land
Proof: How can one person discover what another already knows and owns?
Propaganda: All the important discoveries are traceable to white Europe
Propaganda Analysis: “So long as our textbooks hide from us the roles that people of color have played in exploration, from at least 6000 BC to the twentieth century, they encourage us to look to Europe and its extensions as the seat of all knowledge and intelligence. So long as they say ‘discover’ they imply that whites are the only people who really matter.” -Lies My Teacher Told Me page 66
Use of Propaganda: words matter: In 1823 Chief Justice John Marshall of the U.S. Supreme Court decried that Cherokees had certain rights to their land in Georgia by dint of their ‘occupancy’ but that whites had superior rights owing to their ‘discovery’. How American Indians managed to occupy Georgia without having previously discovered it Marshall neglected to explain.
8. Myth: Columbus was the first to voyage to the Americas across Atlantic.
Fact: The Norse, The Phoenicians and Africans sailed to America long before Columbus.
Fact: Columbus was not the first, just the first white catholic to make it
Fact: Phoenicians beat Columbus by over 2000 years
Fact: at best students are taught the Norse came a little earlier but they failed where we succeeded. No mention is made of the vast amounts of evidence that show other peoples traveling across the ocean
Proof: There were people already there and all humans originated from same place, so the indigenous peoples had to have traveled somehow
Proof: the huge face stones in Mexico have distinctly African features
Proof: archeological discoveries of tools and art
Propaganda: Only the feats of white people matter. All important developments can be traced to white Europeans
Propaganda: students learn that black feats are not considered important while white ones are.
9. Myth: Native Americans walked across the Atlantic in an Ice Age
Fact: Native Americans came to the Americas between 70,000 and 12,000 BC, from Siberia to Alaska
Proof: It is impossible to walk across the ocean even in an Ice Age
Propaganda: the natives people were primitive and European whites were smarter and more advanced
10. Myth: Columbus came for exploration and trade
Fact: Columbus’s purpose from the beginning was conquest and exploitation for which he used religion as a rationale to force the indigenous peoples to work for him
Proof: the Spanish sought gold, they killed Indians, and Indians fled and resisted.
Propaganda: Columbus’s venture had good intentions and his efforts were religiously motivated
11. Possible Myth: Columbus was a Catholic Italian
Fact: this is an unproven story
Fact: some scholars believe he was a jewish convert from Spain hiding from the inquisition.
Proof: He wrote in his journals in Spanish and could not write in Italian
Propaganda: Italian American Nationalism
12. Probable Myth: Columbus yelled ‘Tierra!’ Or ‘land’ when he spotted the coast and his first act on ground was to thank god
Fact: There is absolutely no proof this is the case
Proof: Considering all the other embellishments to the myth of Columbus it seems reasonable to think this is a lie as well.
Propaganda: focus white American identify with Columbus and the moment of ‘discovery’ not what Columbus did to the native peoples and lands he ‘discovered’
13. Myth: White Europeans invented navigation and sea fairing ships
Fact: Not true. White history says the design started with Henrey the Navigator of Portugal between 1415 and 1460.
Fact: Egyptians and Phoenicians where sailing long before white Europeans. Portugal probably saw their designs and that is where Columbus got his ‘new ship’.
Fact: There was nothing special about Columbus’s navigation abilities
Proof: massive amounts of archaeological data, including coins from ancient Rome.
Proof: If everyone originated in same place, then how did any people get there before Columbus?
Propaganda: all important discoveries came from white europeans and the natives where primitive and fortunate to be ‘civilized’
14. Myth: White Europeans conquered because they are/were naturally the stronger smarty people
Fact: History tells us it was one man but it was actually many cultures
Fact: White Europeans learned medicine and without the help of the native peoples would have starved for lack on knowledge of local agriculture
Fact: Democracy came from Indigenous Peoples
Fact: ‘Syncretism’ is combining the ideas from two or more cultures to something new.
Proof: Muslims preserved the wisdom of the greeks and enhanced it with ideas from china, india, and africa, then passing it on to Europe via Italy and spain
Propaganda: only white Europeans are strong and a multiracial society is not rational. Clearly, all advancement and progress has come from the white man.
Propaganda: European world domination is natural and inevitable
Propaganda: all culture and modern Tecnology comes from white europeans
15. Origin Myth: He was good and so are we.
Fact: Some people cannot accept Columbus as a villain. “But an honest account of history does not mean Columbus was bad and so are we. Textbooks should show that right morality or immorality cannot simply be conferred upon us by history. Merely being part of the United States, without regard to our own acts and ideas, does not make us immoral or moral human beings. History is more complicated than that.”
Truth of the Legacy of Christopher Columbus:
Columbus changed the world and revolutionized race relations.
His Legacy: the class of cultures and system of domination that still exist today
A bloody atrocity that left a legacy of genoicide and slavery that endures to some degree to this day.
Christopher Columbus changed the world in two ways: Colonization in the form of genoicide and Slavery
The taking of land, wealth, and labor from indigenous people in Western Hemisphere, leading to their near extermination.
Sunday October 14th 1492: “I could conquer the whole of them with fifty men, and govern them as I pleased.”
Columbus returned with Haitian Slaves and Ferdinand and Isabella outfitted Columbus for a second voyage with 17 ships, 1200-1500 men, cannons, crossbows, guns, cavalry, and attack dogs.
The War of the Worlds allegory
When the ‘primitive’ peoples were terrified by the advance Tecnology of the aliens Wells wanted us to sympathize with the natives on Haiti in 1943 or on Australia in 1788 or in the upper Amazon jungle today
Haiti
Conquer them he did. Columbus and his men demanded food, gold, spun cotton, women, ect.
Columbus used punishment by example to ensure cooperation
When an Indian committed even a minor offense, the Spanish cut off his ears or nose. Disfigured, the person was sent back to his village as living evidence of the brutality the Spanish were capable of
At first the resistance was passive but eventually they took up arms, their resistance gave Columbus an excuse to make war
Ferdinand Columbus’s biography of his father: “The soldiers mowed down dozens with point-blank volleys, loosed dogs to rip open limbs and bellies, chased fleeing Indians into the bush to skewer them on sword and pike and with God’s aid soon gained a complete victory, killing many Indians and capturing others who were also killed.”
Columbus’s created a tribute system where natives received a medallion after paying tribute and were safe for three months where they would have to provide another tribute or have their hands chopped off.
The encomienda system came later but was of Columbus’s design
Pedro de Cordoba wrote a letter to King Ferdinand in 1517 describing the Haiti that Christopher Columbus had created, "As a result of the sufferings and hard labor they endured, the Indians choose and have chosen suicide. Occasionally a hundred have committed mass suicide. The women, exhausted by labor, have shunned conception and childbirth . . . Many, when pregnant, have taken something to abort and have aborted. Others after delivery have killed their children with their own hands, so as not to leave them in such oppressive slavery.” -Lies My Teacher Told Me pg 57
The Haitians impaled themselves, drank poison, jumped off cliffs, hanged themselves and killed their children
Haiti Pre-Columbian
Estimates as high as 8 million.
1496 estimates of 3 million
1516 estimates of 12,000
1542 estimates of 200 full blooded Haitian Indians
1555 none.
The methods unleashed by Columbus are the larger part of his legacy. Other Nations rushed to emulate Columbus. “In 1501 the Portuguese began to depopulate Labrador, transporting the now extinct Beothuk Indians to Europe and Capa Verde as Slaves. After the English established beachheads on the Atlantic coast of North America, they encouraged capture and sell members of more distant tribes. Charleston South Carolina, became a major port of exporting American Indian Slaves. Pilgrims and Puritans sold the survivors of the Pequot War into Slavery in Bermuda in 1673. The French sipped virtually the entire Natchez nation in chains to the West Indies in 1731.”
2. The transatlantic slave trade which created a racial underclass
Columbus sent the first slaves across the Atlantic
Columbus sent more slaves across Atlantic than any other individual (5,000)
On Haiti Columbus did not find gold at first so he found another source of wealth
Columbus in letter to Ferdinand and Isabella in 1496 on Indian death rate: “Although they die now, they will not always die The negroes and Canary Islanders died at first.”
“there now began a rain of terror in Hispaniola”- Hans Koning
On The sexual slave trade
Columbus rewarded his lieutenants with native women to rape. They raided villages for sex and sport
Columbus wrote to friend in 1500 “A hundred castellanoes are as easily obtained for a women as for a farm, and it is very general and there are plenty of dealers who go about looking for girls; those from 9 to 10 are now in demand”
African slave trade
To replace dying Haitians, the Spanish imported tens of thousands more Indians from the Bahamas, to extinction
Because the Indians died, Columbus imported slaves from Africa. Beginning the massive slave trade the other way across the Atlantic, from Africa
Haitian revolution
Site of first large scale revolt, when blacks and American Indians banded together in 1519. The uprising lasted more than a decade and brought to end by Spanish in 1530s
In 1791-1804 Haitians Revolted in the first successful slave rebellion in the West
Who are our US History Textbooks written for?
Who are ‘we’? Columbus is no hero in Mexico even though Mexico is must more Spannish and might be expected to take pride in this hero of Spanish history. Why not? Because Mexico is much more Indian than US, and because Mexicans perceive Columbus as white and European.
‘the fundamental epistemic asymmetry between typical white views of blacks and typical black views of whites: these are not cognizers linked by a reciprocal ignorance but rather groups whose respective privilege and subordination tend to produce self-deception, bad faith, evasion, and misrepresentation on the one hand, and more veridical perceptions, on the other hand’
Continuing to use terms like ‘discovered’ and ‘civilized’ allow whites to think of selves as master to the native (even though colonization is over) and superior morally and intellectually.
“When history textbooks leave out the Arawaks, they offend Native Americans. When they omit the possibility of African and Phoenician precursors to Columbus, they offend African Americans. When they glamorize explores such as de Soto just because they were white, our histories offend all people of color. When they leave out Las Casas, they omit an interesting idealist with whom we all might identify. When they glorify Columbus, our textbooks prod us toward identifying with the oppressor. When textbook authors omit the causes and process of European world domination, they offer a history whose purpose must be to keep us unaware of the important questions.” -page 69, Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen
