Florida bill could end all trans legal recognition
– In one of the most extreme bills of the last decade targeting transgender individuals, a new bill introduced on Thursday afternoon in Florida seeks to end all legal recognition of transgender people and mandates mass biological sex affidavits for both transgender and cisgender Floridians.
These affidavits would be necessary at the DMV for license renewals, enabling the state to gather records of the biological sex of all individuals in Florida who apply for driver’s licenses. The affidavits could allow the state to compile lists of transgender people with Florida driver’s licenses.
They could then be used to enforce other anti-trans laws in the state. Additionally, the bill would impact every law in Florida that references sex, effectively removing all legal recognition of transgender people in the state.

In late August 2023, Ilya Gambashidze was in a conference room at the office of Social Design Agency, a Russian IT company he founded that is based in Moscow, close to the world-renowned Moscow Conservatory. Gambashidze was relatively unknown in Russian politics at the time, but just a month earlier his name had appeared on a Council of the European Union’s list of Russian nationals subjected to sanctions for playing a central role in a sprawling disinformation campaign against Ukraine.
In the conference room, Gambashidze was laying out his plans for a new target: Along with his colleagues, he began drafting what would become known as the Good Old USA Project. The project was supposed to influence the outcome of the US presidential election in favor of former president Donald Trump, specifically targeting certain minorities, swing-state residents, and online gamers, among others, in a scheme that included a full-time team dedicated to the cause.
On Wednesday, Gambashidze and his company were named by the US Department of Justice among the architects of a disinformation campaign known as Doppelganger that has for the past two years been targeting Ukraine and, more recently, US elections. The Doppelganger campaign uses AI-generated content on dozens of fake websites designed to impersonate mainstream media outlets such as The Washington Post and Fox Business, using a network of fake social media accounts to disseminate pro-Russian narratives targeting audiences across the globe. Doppelganger is a Kremlin-aligned disinformation campaign that was first linked to the Kremlin in 2023 by the French government.
On Wednesday, the Justice Department announced the seizure of 32 internet domains it says are linked to the Doppelganger campaign which violate US money laundering and criminal trademark laws.
“Today’s announcement exposes the scope of the Russian government’s influence operations and their reliance on cutting-edge AI to sow disinformation,” FBI director Christopher Wray said in a statement. “Companies operating at the direction of the Russian government created websites to trick Americans into unwittingly consuming Russian propaganda.”
The Treasury Department had previously sanctioned SDA and Gambashidze in March for its part in the Doppelganger campaign. But the court documents unsealed on Wednesday contain a treasure trove of documents and meeting notes from Gambashidze and his colleagues, outlining in unprecedented detail the goals and tactics that the Kremlin has been deploying in order to influence the outcome of the 2024 US election.
The records also reveal the plan was discussed at the highest levels of the Russian government, with Sergei Kiriyenko, the first deputy chief of staff of the presidential executive office, playing a key role. The notes appear to show that President Vladimir Putin may have been updated on the campaign; in one meeting with Russian government officials, Gambashidze wrote that government officials told him they had “reported to the President about the project,” which the FBI agent who authored the affidavit said he took to refer to Putin.
The documents show that the orchestrators of the campaign targeted existing divisions within US society, using racist stereotypes and far-right conspiracies to target supporters of former president Donald Trump.
"They are afraid of losing the American way of life and the ‘American dream,’” Gambashidze writes in one document outlining his “guerrilla media” plan. “It is these sentiments that should be exploited in the course of an information campaign in/for the United States.”
The same document is full of racist and conspiratorial claims, including that Republicans are “victims of discrimination of people of color.” It adds that white middle-class people are being discriminated against with high inflation and rising prices, while “unemployed people of color end up being privileged groups of the population.”
And the goal of the campaign, from the beginning, was crystal clear: “To secure victory for [Donald Trump],” Gambashidze wrote in the Good Old USA Project planning document.
The Good Old USA plan openly admits that “none of the significant American politicians can be considered pro-Russian or pro-Putin,” and so rather than focus its efforts on trying to convince people that Russia is great, the plan called for promoting the idea that the US should be focusing its resources less on Ukraine and more on domestic issues, such as rising inflation and high gas prices.
“It makes sense for Russia to put a maximum effort to ensure that the Republican Party’s point of view (first and foremost, the opinion of Trump supporters) wins over the US public opinion,” the Good Old USA Project planning document reads. “This includes provisions on peace in Ukraine in exchange for territories, the need to focus on the problems of the US economy, returning troops home from all over the world, etc.”
As well as getting Trump elected, the campaign’s secondary goals included increasing the percentage of Americans who believe the US is doing too much to aid Ukraine to 51 percent, and reducing the percentage of Americans who have confidence in President Joe Biden down to 29 percent.
The plan lists a variety of audiences the campaign specifically wants to target, including residents of swing states, American Jews, “US citizens of Hispanic descent,” and the “community of American gamers, users of Reddit and image boards, such as 4chan.”
The document describes this category of gamers and chatroom users as the "backbone of the right-wing trends in the US segment of the Internet.” In recent months, the Trump campaign has embraced many of the most influential figures within these communities, including many who share deeply misogynistic rhetoric on a regular basis.
To spread their narrative, the plan called for the creation of YouTube channels that shared pro-Trump content as well as other viral videos (“music, humor, beautiful girls etc,” according to the documents) in order to appear at the top of search results for “US elections.”
Meanwhile, Gambashidze and his colleagues used Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit to create community groups of Trump supporters, with one sample name given as “Alabama for America the Great.” The document also reveals that the Russians planned to use Reddit as a vector to disseminate their propaganda as it is a platform “free from democratic censorship.”
Gambashidze’s plan outlined how Doppelganger would create 18 “sleeper cells” on social media platforms in each of the swing states, which would “at the right moment, upon gaining momentum, become an important instrument of influencing the public opinion in critically important states and portals used by the Russian side to distribute bogus stories disguised as newsworthy events.” It’s unclear if these so-called sleeper cells were created and, if so, whether they are still present on the platform.
The campaign also used targeted ads on Facebook to not only promote their narrative but also to gain valuable insight into what messages were sticking and which were falling flat. “Targeted advertising in Facebook allows tracking reactions of users to the distributed material in real time and directing the psychological response group to contribute to comments thereof,” the document reads. “With the help of a network of bots the psychological response group moderates top discussions and adjusts further launches depending on which group was affected the most.”
One of the key aspects of the Kremlin’s campaign is also to engage with influencers. According to the FBI’s affidavit, Gambashidze’s company “extensively monitors and collects information about a large number of media organizations and social media influencers.”
According to the Good Old USA project document, the Kremlin was seeking to work with influencers who are “proponents of traditional values, who stand up for ending the war in Ukraine and peaceful relations between the US and Russia, and who are ready to get involved in the promotion of the project narratives.”
Among the types of influencers listed as possible collaborators are actors, politicians, media representatives, activists, and clergymen.
The affidavit references one document maintained by the Social Design Agency, which is not included in the unsealed court documents, that contains a list of more than 2,800 people identified as influencers. While this list is global, US-based influencers account for around 20 percent of the accounts being monitored, including many US lawmakers, according to an analysis of the list by the FBI.
The Social Design Agency also maintains another list, again not included in the court documents, that tracks over 1,900 “anti-influencers” from 52 different countries, with US-based accounts. The FBI agent who authored the document assessed that “anti-influencer” refers to accounts which post “content that SDA views as contrary to Russian objectives.”
In a note from one of the meetings with Russian government officials discussing the campaign’s use of influencers, Gambashidze wrote: “We need influencers! A lot of them and everywhere. We are ready to wine and dine them.” Though no links have been confirmed, hours before the Doppelganger affidavit dropped on Wednesday, Tenet Media, an organization that features a slate of right-wing commentators, was alleged in an unsealed Department of Justice indictment to have been largely funded by Russian state-backed news network RT.
The Social Design Agency operation appeared to be extremely well-run and well-resourced. There is a “project office” consisting of four teams that include one entire group dedicated to monitoring the social media posts from GOP lawmakers in order to generate ideas for topics to cover.
These would then be handed to a “text factory," with orders to whittle down the topics handed to them by the monitoring team to four to five main issues, along with eight to 10 basic posts for social media platforms and 40- to 60 comments to post under those social media posts for the network of bots. Another team was called the “manga editorial office,” which was charged with producing a daily output of three to four images, including memes. Finally, a video team was tasked with producing three to four videos each day.
“In order for this work to be effective, you need to use a minimum of fake news and a maximum of realistic information,” the document’s authors wrote. “At the same time, you should continuously repeat that this is what is really happening, but the official media will never tell you about it or show it to you.”
Antibot4Navalny, a group of anonymous Russian researchers who have been closely tracking Doppelganger’s activity, are doubtful that the affidavit will have a significant impact on the campaign’s activity.
“Frankly, I believe it's whack-a-mole as long as EU providers keep doing business with [Social Design Agency], and UK-registered shell companies keep helping SDA with its operation,” the researchers told WIRED, citing their own investigations earlier this year.

The whole article is worth a read but I pulled some money quotes.
They also specifically wanted to erode support for Ukraine and Biden and targeted gamers as the back-bone of the right-wing movement.
As well as getting Trump elected, the campaign’s secondary goals included increasing the percentage of Americans who believe the US is doing too much to aid Ukraine to 51 percent, and reducing the percentage of Americans who have confidence in President Joe Biden down to 29 percent. The plan lists a variety of audiences the campaign specifically wants to target, including residents of swing states, American Jews, “US citizens of Hispanic descent,” and the “community of American gamers, users of Reddit and image boards, such as 4chan.” The document describes this category of gamers and chatroom users as the "backbone of the right-wing trends in the US segment of the Internet.” In recent months, the Trump campaign has embraced many of the most influential figures within these communities, including many who share deeply misogynistic rhetoric on a regular basis.
And of course, they targeted social media, making sleeper groups intended to sway the election.
Meanwhile, Gambashidze and his colleagues used Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit to create community groups of Trump supporters, with one sample name given as “Alabama for America the Great.” The document also reveals that the Russians planned to use Reddit as a vector to disseminate their propaganda as it is a platform “free from democratic censorship.” Gambashidze’s plan outlined how Doppelganger would create 18 “sleeper cells” on social media platforms in each of the swing states, which would “at the right moment, upon gaining momentum, become an important instrument of influencing the public opinion in critically important states and portals used by the Russian side to distribute bogus stories disguised as newsworthy events.” It’s unclear if these so-called sleeper cells were created and, if so, whether they are still present on the platform.
They also targeted and looked at influencers, including politicians.

Jose Pagliery at NOTUS:
Rep. Matt Gaetz attended a drug-fueled sex party in 2017 with the 17-year-old girl at the center of the alleged sex trafficking scandal, according to legal documents filed to a Florida federal court shortly before midnight Thursday, which cite sealed affidavits from three eyewitness testimonies.
The minor, who was a junior in high school at the time, arrived in her mother’s car for a July 15, 2017, party at the Florida home of Chris Dorworth, a lobbyist and friend of Gaetz’s, according to a court filing written by defense attorneys who interviewed witnesses as part of an ongoing civil lawsuit Dorworth brought in 2023. The lobbyist claimed he had been unfairly dragged into the alleged sex trafficking scandal that has dogged Gaetz and his allies for years. Dorworth ultimately dropped the case, but lawyers filed these documents in an attempt to recoup attorneys fees for a lawsuit they say should never have been brought.
One eyewitness cited in the court filings, a young woman referred to as K.M., provided a sworn affidavit that claimed the teenage girl was naked, partygoers were there to “engage in sexual activities,” and “alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy … and marijuana” were present. The teenage girl was identified in the filings only as A.B. “The discovery taken in this case to date reflects that on Saturday, July 15, 2017 … Dorworth, hosted a party at his residence … with the following guests present: (1) A.B.; (2) K.M.; (3) B.G.; (4) Matt Gaetz,” lawyers wrote in the filing, also listing several others. The defense lawyers filed testimonies from those three women — who the attorneys say placed Gaetz at Dorworth’s house that night — under seal pending a judge’s approval to make the records public.
Additionally, Gaetz’s own ex-girlfriend — who was present at the party — provided testimony that lawyers say rebuts Dorworth’s claims that he was not there. NOTUS independently verified that Gaetz and one of the women who testified were previously involved in a relationship; she is only identified in the court filing by her initials, B.G.
The congressman’s ex-girlfriend’s eleventh hour testimony on Sept. 3 came just two days before Dorworth dropped his lawsuit, defense attorneys said in the filing. The defense lawyers also relied on Dorworth’s geolocated cell phone records, which showed that he communicated constantly with the congressman that day. The defense’s court filings show a hired digital forensic examiner identified Gaetz’s number, which has a Florida panhandle 850 area code and texted back and forth 30 times that day and then called Dorworth twice in the hours before the evening revelry. “B.G., another attendee at that party, confirmed A.B.’s testimony under penalty of perjury,” defense lawyers wrote.
This marks the first time that sworn testimony has been referenced in public court filings alleging that the congressman attended one of the long-rumored parties tied to an alleged underage sex scandal. Previous reports have revealed details of ex-politician and Gaetz friend Joel Greenberg’s confession letter that was never made public, which described how Gaetz would allegedly pay him to arrange several sexual encounters with young women — including a 17-year-old girl. Greenberg is serving an 11-year prison sentence for a list of charges, including fraud and sex trafficking with a child.
New filings reveal that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is at the center of a party he attended with a 17-year old girl in 2017 that featured drugs and sex.

Is Media's Support of Kamala Harris doing more Harm than Good?
I wanted to hear from All Sides before going over the Presidential Debate. In My Opinion, The Winner of the Harris- Trump Debate was Dr. Jill Stein. Her Presidential Campaign w/ Running Mate, Dr. Butch Ware is gaining steam following their Interviews w/ The Breakfast Club & Mehdi Hasan. They look like the Adults in the Room. The ABC sponsored Debate generated a lot of feedback, but neither Candidate performed very well. Kamala Harris appeared poised, but her Message is [still] too general. Time is running out, so Kamala should be more specific about what a 'Harris- Walz Administration' will look like over the next 4Yrs. Donald Trump looked comfortable in 'Enemy Territory', but may have overestimated his readiness. The Man's debate performance resembled a Sales Presentation; he appeared to be ad libbing off a list of Bullet Points, opposed to the Talking Points that Kamala Harris used. NEITHER were effective in explaining their Agenda, so I gave both Candidates a Grade of 'C'.
Following the Debate, Kamala Harris gave a brief interview to Philadelphia Action News Anchor, Brian Taff that rose eyebrows. In that Interview, Kamala lacked the poise displayed during the Debate; she was back to her Bad Habits. Body Language Experts had a field day comparing & contrasting Kamala Harris' mannerisms from the Debate Stage, to the Action News Interview. A few Content Creators began to ask if Kamala was prepped for the Debate. Meanwhile, critiques of ABC Debate Moderators, David Muir & Lindsey Davis began to echo across Social Media Platforms. Harris' next appearance, at the NABJ Forum in Philadelphia didn't help. Despite a warm reception & softball questions from the Moderators, Kamala Harris appeared uncomfortable, uncertain, & eventually bothered by the questions being asked. She barely shook hands w/ the Moderators before leaving the Stage. Around this time, Post Debate Poll Numbers were coming out.
The Harris- Trump Debate was anticipated, but did little to change hearts & minds. Kamala Harris Supporters felt that she not only handled Trump, but clearly won the Debate. Donald Trump Supporters admit this wasn't his best Debate performance, but they say that Trump held his own in a '3 against 1' Fight. Even CNN pointed out that ABC Debate Moderators fact checked Donald Trump far more than they did Kamala Harris. The usual back & forth between Pundits followed, but was brought to a full stop when an ABC News Whistleblower released a letter that accuses ABC/ Disney of colluding w/ the Harris-Walz Campaign. In a Sworn Affidavit, the Whistleblower says that Harris Staffers dictated which Topics were off limits, while ABC provided Harris w/ sample questions. Using Post Debate Interviews as a Standard for Comparison, Kamala Harris' Opponents point out how much her Pre & Post Debate Interviews contrast w/ her Debate Performance. They cite them as proof that ABC prepped her for their Sept. 10th Debate. Kamala's association w/ Disney Co- Chair Dana Walden & Anchor Lindsey Davis didn't help matters.
The Takeaways from the Debate were:
The Border Crisis
Late Term Abortions
Transgender Surgery for Illegal Immigrants
Haitian Immigrants eating Ducks, Geese, & Cats in Springfield, Ohio.
Despite the narrative of a Harris Victory, Post Debate conversation hasn't benefitted Kamala Harris or helped her Poll Numbers. Any percentage bump that she may have gained was quickly nullified by a 2nd Assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a neighboring Golf Course near his Mar A Largo Residence. Political Insiders say that regardless of what Polling Trends may show, Kamala Harris is in the Electoral College 'Danger Zone'. Her numbers are starting to plateau, while Trump is on the rebound. This might have been the inspiration behind Oprah's Town Hall Rally in Michigan. In yet another DNC friendly environment- complete w/ Celebrity Endorsements, Kamala meandered her way through some pretty straight forward questions. Oprah had to lend an assist on more than one occasion, & very few missed it. Her overall performance was underwhelming; even Oprah had to admit that Kamala failed to answer questions. The Harris-Walz Campaign attempted to shore up deficits in Pennsylvania & Michigan, but did little to influence Rural or Muslim American Voters in either Swing State.
In what has been a very busy News Cycle for Presidential Politics, an unexpected comment from Janet Jackson has created yet another Media Storm. In an interview w/ The Guardian, Janet was asked her thoughts on a 'Black Woman' winning the Election for POTUS. She replied: "Well you know what they supposedly said? She's not Black. That's what I heard. That she's Indian". When the reporter tried to insist that Kamala was BiRacial, Janet doubled down on her answer. Democratic Shills- from Joy Reid & the Ladies of 'The View', to DL Hughley & Roland Martin had something to say about Janet's opinion. To Date, I think I heard Kamala say that she is Black ONCE. This came after seeing a number of Campaign Ads that identified her as a 'Black Woman of Asian Descent', & hearing several Democratic Shills say [relentlessly] that Kamala Harris IS Black. For The Record, BOTH of her Parents identify as 'Caucasian' (Aryan) on their Birth Certificate. I don't understand what the DNC is trying to accomplish. Kamala has yet to be specific about her Agenda for the next 4Yrs. She has begun to put Policy Measures on her Website, but hasn't explained how she will attain Policy Goals.
Mainstream Media has provided cover for Kamala Harris, like they covered for Joe Biden. DNC Friendly Outlets share the same tactic; a knee jerk response of gaslighting Harris Critics & Undecided Voters that contest her History or Agenda. It's painfully clear that Kamala Harris is struggling on Policy Issues. Her response to specific questions has been so redundant that critics believe she's reading from a script. After 3Yrs 8Mos of serving as Vice President, more is expected out of her. Shills like DL Hughley have said that [the Office of] Vice President is not a position of relevance, but Harris casted the Deciding Vote 33 times during her Tenure. In contrast, Mike Pence did this only 3 times. Clearly, Kamala has been an integral part of the Biden- Harris Administration & should be able to ride w/o Training Wheels. The fact that so many 'Aides' have to set her up has Harris Critics & Undecided Voters questioning her ability to Serve effectively.
We know that Obama Operatives like David Plouffe & Eric Holder have been inserted into the Harris- Walz Campaign, so catch words like 'Energized', 'Freedom' & 'Joy' aren't surprising. Mainstream Media has been literally paving a Yellow Brick Road for Kamala Harris to work her Magic, but she lacks the special sauce of a Barack Obama or Bill Clinton. The Truth is, Clinton & Obama did MORE DAMAGE to Black America than either Bush [41 & 43] or Trump. Kamala Harris is in the unfortunate position of following in their wake. She can't run the same Game on Black America that they ran. Blackfolk have Buyer's Remorse & won't tolerate a 3rd Serving of 'DNC Double Talk'. Hillary Rodham Clinton had the same dilemma w/ Black Voters in 2016. Like Hillary, Kamala lacks a Silver Tongue, but has an expectation of privilege that is supposed to carry her into The White House. Mainstream Media has foregone any appearance of objectivity in their effort to make Kamala Harris a Political Rock Star. Unfortunately, this effort has put a spotlight on her consistent inconsistency.
In their attempt to present Kamala Harris as a brilliant Presidential Candidate, Journalists & Shills are revealing that she is not ready for Prime Time. Is this by design? I recall a rumor that started not long after Kamala's 'Selection' that she was being Set Up for a Great Fall. According to the rumor, Barack Obama & Nancy Pelosi weren't pleased w/ Joe Biden seeking a 2nd Term in Office. Americans aren't satisfied w/ the performance of the Biden- Harris Administration, so Gavin Newsome, Gretchen Whitmer, & Josh Shapiro were among those being considered as potential Candidates; Kamala wasn't in the conversation. The Biden- Harris Campaign War Chest necessitated keeping Kamala on the Ballot, but there was a rumored concern about Joe Biden's 'Legacy'. Apparently, the Obama- Pelosi Camp don't want him to have one. Barack & Michelle withheld their support for Kamala, to leverage placement of 'their people' into Harris' Campaign. This increases their influence while diminishing Joe Biden's influence on a 'Harris Administration'.
Billionaire Donors have thrown Hundreds of Millions of Dollars into the Harris-Walz Campaign, but it only appears to be treading water. As We approach the Home Stretch to Election Day, NEITHER Candidate on the DNC Ticket holds a strong position on Important Issues. BOTH have to rely on Media Support & Emotional Buzz Words to keep potential Voters 'in line'. The General Public is more focused on Kitchen Table Issues like The Economy, than supporting 'Forever Wars' in Ukraine & Gaza. This is hurting Kamala Harris w/ Young Adults & Muslim Voters. Taking a step back to review how We got here, I have to ask: Are Democratic Elites & their Donors manufacturing a losing scenario intentionally? Are Content Creators being On Point when they theorize that the DNC wants to weaponize Kamala Harris- in an effort to destroy Joe Biden's 'Legacy,' while they begin the process of selecting a 2028 Presidential Candidate?
All I know, is Kamala Harris had the lowest approval rating of ANY Vice President; then Joe Biden 'bowed out' of the Election & she suddenly became a Political Rock Star. It's pretty clear that Kamala is not living up to all of the Hype, but is it her fault? -Afterall, she is who she is.

Before and After...
Coltan Vaughan Bowman, South Carolina inmate 386974, born 2003, incarceration intake January 2022 at age 19, scheduled for release June 2035
Manslaughter
In October 2019, a deadly double shooting appeared to have stemmed from a firearm sale that was never completed.
Police found two shooting victims in the side yard of a home.
One victim, 18-year-old Roy Calhoun III, died at the scene. A second teenager, 17-year-old Dylan Newby, died from his injuries later that week.
Affidavits stated that a juvenile witness who knew both victims said Newby was involved in a potential firearm sale in that area before the shooting. The witness stated that Newby decided against selling the firearm, which prompted the intended buyers to return to the residence and shoot the victims.
The documents added that Newby received payment for the firearm before the transaction and that he was obtaining the guns from vehicle break-ins. Both victims were found with firearms that were determined to have been stolen from a vehicle break-in.
Authorities used video surveillance from the area and the collection of evidence resulted in the discovery of two people being connected to the crime. Affidavits also stated that a second juvenile witness, who was with one of the suspects about an hour before the shooting, told officials that the suspect said that he was going to "cap somebody."
Coltan Bowman was arrested by U.S. Marshals in New York. The second man, Camron Addow (South Carolina inmate 386284) was apprehended by officers with the help of U.S. Marshals. Addow was is scheduled to be released November 2030. Addow received a shortened sentence in a plea agreement to testify against Bowman.

A mom has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for having “ambushed and injected” her estranged ex-husband with a fatal dose of poison after he dropped their children back at her home.
Amanda Hovonec, 37, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, pleaded guilty to the murder of Timothy Hovanec in front of a district judge on Tuesday.
Investigators attained dash cam footage from the victim’s car that showed her wrestling him to the floor, before she injected him in the shoulder with M99: an anesthetic used on Rhinos and other zoo animals that is up to 3,000 times the strength of morphine.
The 36-year-old father-of-three, who worked as a US State Department researcher, was returning the couple’s children after they stayed with him during a weekend visit on the evening of April 24, court documents revealed.
Timothy’s job demanded they live in South Africa between 2018 and 2020, in which time Hovonec was engaged in an affair with Saffa Anthony Theodorou. The couple divorced shortly after a return to the US in 2020.
At approximately 7pm, Hovonec and her mother Anita Green were waiting beside the garage outside her residence when the dad pulled into the drive, the court heard.
According to prosecutors, the mom walked up to the car and told her children: “I have a surprise for you inside.”
As Green ushered the children inside, Hovonec leapt on her ex-husband on her driveway while he was unloading the children’s car seats, according to a sentencing brief.
What the heck are you doing? Did you just assault me?” Timothy could be heard wailing in an audio recording captured by the car’s dash cam that was given to investigators. “Get away from me… get off of me.”
Edging into the camera’s view, Hovanec was filmed yanking her ex-husband’s shirt and wrestling with him as he tried to pick up his cellphone, officials said.
Taking him to the ground, she held the victim by the neck until his body went limp and he lost consciousness prosecutors said.
After plundering his phone and smartwatch, Hovanec switched off the vehicle’s engine and, with it, the dashcam, prosecutors said.
She placed a plastic bag over the victim’s head and body over fear of “fluids secreting” from his remains, according to court documents.
Hovanec revealed to investigators that she injected her ex-partner in the shoulder with M99. She knew that the poison would kill him within minutes, prosecutors said.
The defendant also confessed to where she claimed to have sourced the poison: Theodorou.
The paramour, who had traveled to Ohio at the time of the murder, had not only allegedly supplied the M-99, he admitted to digging a shallow grave a day prior to Timothy’s death.
On April 25, Green drove the pair to the burial site at a farm that the defendant’s grandfather used to own, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Green’s taxiing of Hovonec and Theodorou was “inescapable conclusion that she helped facilitate a murder,” District Judge James Knepp II said.
“Hovanec’s violent and intentional actions were cold-blooded, calculated, and cruel. Her extreme malevolence toward her husband and complete disregard for how his murder would affect their innocent children is incomprehensible and unforgivable,” said US Attorney Rebecca Lutzko for the Northern District of Ohio said in a statement released on Tuesday.
“We know that no amount of time served can bring back a family’s loved one. But our hope is that the victim’s family may find some sense of closure as they painstakingly work to heal from this unimaginable and horrific tragedy.”
Green, the defendant’s mother, pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the crimes committed by Hovanec and Theodorou. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by two years of supervised release. She was ordered to pay $2,108,559 in restitution.
Hovanec’s lover, Theodorou, is scheduled sentenced on Thursday.

This guy was destroying the home he shared with his sister, planning to shoot up schools and was trying to build a bomb. But sure therapy before transitioning is delaying healthcare.
By Genevieve Gluck December 1, 2023
A trans-identified male has pleaded guilty to Second-Degree Assault for threatening to target three schools in Colorado Springs, Colorado. William Whitworth, 19, accepted an arrangement and entered a plea of “guilty” to a class 4 felony offense on November 6.
Whitworth was arrested on March 31 on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder after a concerned family member called the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office. At the time, he admitted to planning to commit shootings at local schools and deputies dispatched to Whitworth’s residence discovered a labeled floor plan of a school. Whitworth was born male but uses “she/her” pronouns and refers to himself as “Lilly” or “Lily.”
Police were sent to Whitworth’s address after his sister called and claimed that he was punching holes in the wall and had made references to school shootings. According to the affidavit, Whitworth’s sister used “she/her” pronouns to refer to her brother. Police also referred to Whitworth using feminine pronouns in their affidavit, though recorded his sex as “male.”
When police arrived, they found Whitworth drunk in his room, which was littered with filth. The house was in extreme disrepair, and deputies noted that “there was trash piled up all around the house to where it made it hard to walk inside.”
During a search of the premises, authorities discovered a “manifesto” which included the names of several school shooters, as well as additional drawings and floor plans of schools. There were also photos describing a make-shift bomb and detonation device. While speaking to police, Whitworth stated he had gone onto YouTube to learn how to make a detonator for a bomb.
Contained within Whitworth’s notebook was also a list of firearms with 3D printing instructions, and a list of political personalities, including commentator Lauren Southern, with comments.
According to records, there were three schools Whitworth had intended to target, including Timberview Middle School, Prairie Hills Elementary, and Pine Creek High School. While Whitworth confirmed that Timberview was the main target, he also stated he had a desire to attack churches as well.
Initially Whitworth was booked and held on a $75,000 bond. But, while in jail, Whitworth reportedly told a prison official that he still wanted to carry out his plans if bonded out. As a result, his bond was increased to $750,000 in order to make it more difficult for him to leave pretrial detention.
In the press release detailing the plea agreement from the Office of the 18th Judicial District Attorney, Whitworth was referred to by “they/them” pronouns.
Whitworth faces a maximum prison term of 16 years. Sentencing is scheduled for January 19, 2024. His case is part of a worrying trend that has seen an escalation in threats of violence, or actual violence, carried out in US school systems this year.
In November, a trans-identified male was indicted on 14 felony counts following sinister threats to commit a school shooting and murder children “on behalf” of the transgender community. Alexia Willie, born Jason Lee Willie, also promised to rape young girls in public restrooms in retaliation for transphobia.
Court records reveal that Willie threatened to rape young girls in bathroom facilities, in addition to stating his intention to carry out a copy-cat killing of a horrific March shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. During that incident, a trans-identified female left 6 dead, 3 of whom were children aged 9, in an act of brutality that left the nation stunned.

Tameka’s kids have essentially been out of school since COVID hit in March 2020. She and her kids have had a consistent place to live, but nearly everything else in their lives collapsed during the pandemic. (Tameka is her middle name. The Associated Press is withholding her full name because Tameka, 33, runs the risk of jail time or losing custody of her children since they are not in school.)
Tameka’s longtime partner, who was father to her children, died of a heart attack in May 2020 as COVID gripped the country.
His death left her overwhelmed and penniless. Tameka never graduated from high school and has worked occasionally as a security guard or a housecleaner for hotels. She has never gotten a driver’s license. But her partner worked construction and had a car. “When he was around, we never went without,” she says.
Suddenly, she had four young children to care for by herself, with only government cash assistance to live on.
Schools had closed to prevent the spread of the virus, and the kids were home with her all the time. Remote learning didn’t hold their attention. Their home internet didn’t support the three children being online simultaneously, and there wasn’t enough space in their two-bedroom apartment for the kids to have a quiet place to learn.
Because she had to watch them, she couldn’t work. The job losses put her family even further below the median income for a Black family in Atlanta — $28,105. (The median annual income for a white family in the city limits is $83,722.)
When Tameka’s children didn’t return to school, she also worried about the wrong kind of attention from the state’s child welfare department. According to Tameka, staff visited her in spring 2021 after receiving calls from the school complaining her children were not attending online classes.
The social workers interviewed the children, inspected their home and looked for signs of neglect and abuse. They said they’d be back to set her up with resources to help her with parenting. For more than two years, she says, “they never came back.”
When the kids missed 10 straight days of school that fall, the district removed them from its rolls, citing a state regulation. Tameka now had to re-enroll them.
Suddenly, another tragedy of her partner’s death became painfully obvious. He was carrying all the family’s important documents in his backpack when he suffered his heart attack. The hospital that received him said it passed along the backpack and other possessions to another family member, Tameka says. But it was never found.
The backpack contained the children’s birth certificates and her own, plus Medicaid cards and Social Security cards. Slowly, she has tried to replace the missing documents. First, she got new birth certificates for the children, which required traveling downtown.
After asking for new Medicaid cards for over a year, she finally received them for two of her children. She says she needs them to take her children to the doctor for the health verifications and immunizations required to enroll. It’s possible her family’s cards have been held up by a backlog in Georgia’s Medicaid office since the state agency incorrectly disenrolled thousands of residents.
When she called for a doctor’s appointment in October, the office said the soonest they could see her children was December.
“That’s too late,” she said. “Half the school year will be over by then.”
She also needs to show the school her own identification, Social Security cards, and a new lease, plus the notarized residency affidavit.
She shakes her head. “It’s a lot.”
Some of the enrollment requirements have exceptions buried deep in school board documents. But Tameka says no one from the district has offered her guidance.
Contact logs provided by the district show social workers from three schools have sent four emails and called the family 19 times since the pandemic closed classrooms in 2020. Most of those calls went to voicemail or didn’t go through because the phone was disconnected.

San Myshuno Family Court - The Hon. Shirley F. Turner Presiding
Judge Turner: Good morning, Mr. Dalton. I understand that you're seeking an emergency order of protection for your client?
Will: Yes, Your Honor.
Judge Turner: And is the responding party present?
Will: No, Your Honor. Due to the nature of his behavior towards Mrs. Santoro, we're requesting an ex-parte order.
Judge Turner: I see. What's occurring to make you think this is necessary?
Will: On Friday night, my client informed her husband, Justin Santoro, that she intended to pursue a divorce. He became irate and left the house. Since then, he has sent her 377 text messages, and attempted to call her 89 times. He's also attempted to reach her several hundred times through her social media pages. That's an issue for my client's ability to support herself and her children - she relies on those pages to make a living, and she's had to temporarily shut them down.
Judge Turner: Goodness. Mr. Santoro has certainly been...busy. Do any of these messages contain language that could be interpreted as a threat?
Will (offscreen): The phrase "you'll be sorry" is used over a hundred times. I would certainly consider that a threat.
Will: Furthermore, Your Honor, on Saturday Mr. Santoro showed up at a hospital where a close friend of my client's had just given birth. He assumed that she would be there to visit. He harassed her friends for information about her whereabouts, and was escorted out by police, although not arrested. I have sworn affidavits to that effect.
Judge Turner: Thank you, Mr. Dalton. Based on the evidence presented, I have more than sufficient grounds to issue an emergency protective order until the preliminary hearings in the divorce proceeding can be scheduled. At that time, Mrs. Santoro, you'll be free to seek a long-term restraining order against your husband. Now. Do we have information on where Mr. Santoro is currently residing so that the order can be served?
Taylor: Y-your Honor? May I say something?
Judge Turner: What is it?
Taylor: I-I don't really know where Justin is right now. He said something about Chestnut Ridge, and I know he has a good friend there, but I don't know more than that. If you can get someone out, though...I know exactly where he'll be at about 3 pm today.

HELLO! Are you or someone you know confused about voting or have a weird situation and haven’t figured it out yet?
I have some helpful infographics for you!!
Can you still register?*
*Information found here, please double check. Some weird circumstances like moving after registering before may still allow affidavit voting, sometimes asking in person or over the phone may be best to make absolutely sure you can’t vote.
Can you early vote right now?*
*Information found here, please double check. This is referring to early voting in person. This should avoid the longest lines on Election Day and works if you can’t easily make it that day. Check the hours and places available in your region.
Can you still apply for mail in ballot?*
*Information found here, please double check. This is referring to applying for absentee or mail in ballots and when the application needs to be received. Some states have different rules on what qualifies or last minute emergency exceptions past this, so again, calling or asking in person helps. Some states have specific offices to do this. The time of day of the deadline can differ.
Can you still send in a mail in ballot?*
*Information found here, please double check. This is referring to when mail in ballots have to be postmarked or received. This often differs if handed in person, sent by mail, or handed in my an emergency designated person. If you lose it, you can often vote in person instead and sign an affidavit that you won’t send in a second vote etc. The time of day even differs on these deadlines or where you can drop them off.
**More Disclaimers: Some states require identification, some require proof of residence, the point is there are a lot of niche rules so you should act now if you are eligible to vote regardless of circumstance to figure out if it’s at all possible. Don’t assume anything. So many people are disenfranchised by this confusing process, do the best you can to ensure they can’t do it to you. Even down ballot voting can be life or death for some people right now, and generally a lot of impact on yourself and others, so if you can’t vote this time around ensure you register for future years. If you are reading this not in 2024, these maps will be outdated since some deadlines are days of the week before elections and not calendar dates.
Here’s another post that has more helpful links for registering figuring out where you can vote, checking your registration etc. A helpful FAQ if you will. Both of these took forever to make but it was very rewarding if it helps anyone. This is a really anxious time for a lot of us, so doing something really helps, even if it’s just getting the word out and sharing.

The bill would have allowed law enforcement to immediately remove suspected squatters in Arizona.
Author: Kevin Reagan
Published: 5:46 PM PDT April 23, 2024
Updated: 5:57 PM PDT April 23, 2024
PHOENIX — Gov. Katie Hobbs has vetoed legislation that would have allowed law enforcement to immediately remove suspected squatters from a residence.
Senate Bill 1129 permitted property owners to request help from law enforcement and to remove someone they say is unlawfully occupying their home. The homeowner would have to fill out a sworn affidavit asserting the occupant is not a current or former tenant.
After receiving the affidavit, police would have to verify its author is the property owner and proceed with removing the unwanted occupant.
Democrats argued the bill's powers could be used by domestic abusers to exert economic control over victims.
"This bill fails to leverage existing legal mechanisms, respect the due process rights of lawful tenants, and minimize unintended consequences, such as for victims of domestic violence," the governor wrote in her veto letter.
Republicans disagreed and argued the legislation was needed to safeguard the rights of homeowners, especially the many snowbirds who leave their Arizona homes vacant for several months.

Murder of Robert Eric Wone
On August 2, 2006, Wone was fatally stabbed while staying overnight at a rowhouse on Swann Street in Washington's Dupont Circle neighborhood, owned by Price and his domestic partner Victor Zaborsky, where they lived with Dylan Ward as a polyamorous family unit. Wone had gone to Price's residence at approximately 10:30pm after working late, as had been arranged days before. Neighbors reported hearing a scream, later identified as Zaborsky's, during the 11:00pm newscast (i.e., before 11:35 PM). Zaborsky made a 9-1-1 call at 11:49 PM and paramedics arrived five minutes later, followed by the officers of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPDC). Price phoned Wone's wife, and Wone was pronounced dead at George Washington University Hospital at 12:24 AM on August 3. Price, Zaborsky and Ward all initially spoke with the police without attorneys, and video recordings of those interviews were shown at the subsequent conspiracy trial. The three men denied any involvement in Wone's death and speculated that an intruder had killed him. The three also denied any sexual relationship with Wone, and Wone's family have described him as both "straight and happily married". All three men attended Wone's funeral, where Price served as a pallbearer. Future U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who at that time worked at Wone's former employer Covington & Burling, called Wone "a kind and gentle man" who was "killed in the most horrible of ways". Paramedics responding to the emergency call "found the three residents’ calm behavior unusual; none were screaming or even helping direct the paramedics". According to Ward's attorney, detectives who interrogated the three housemates on the night of the killing informed them that they were the main suspects in the case, and asked many sexually charged, accusatory questions. Three days after the killing, the Gay and Lesbian Liaison Unit of the MPDC were called in, but unit head Sgt. Brett Parson declined to discuss the unit's involvement. Within two weeks of the murder, police publicly alleged that the crime scene had been tampered with. Investigators spent more than three weeks examining the Swann Street rowhouse in detail, "removing flooring, pieces of walls, a chunk of staircase, the washing machine, even sink traps". Allegations that the area around Wone's body had been cleaned were revealed in an affidavit in support of a search warrant for Price's offices at the D.C. law firm. The case remains unsolved.

1-year-old Virginia boy strangled to death by father for not listening while his mother was at work
usnn.com
FRONT ROYAL, VA – A Virginia man has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly strangling his 1-year-old son, police say.
Nathaniel Lee Edmonds, 24, of Front Royal, stands accused of ending the life of his toddler. Authorities were alerted to a child in cardiac arrest on the afternoon of September 18 and responded to a home on the 300 block of North Royal Avenue. Medics from Warren County Fire & Rescue transported the boy to Warren Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to a police affidavit, the child’s mother left for work, entrusting Edmonds with his care. Upon her return, she found her son unresponsive and Edmonds missing from the residence. Edmonds was later located by police using a phone locator in north Front Royal, walking along U.S. 522 North at Fairground Road. He was arrested and subsequently interviewed by the authorities.
During the post-arrest interrogation, Edmonds reportedly confessed to using both hands to choke his son for several minutes because he was frustrated with the boy’s behavior. He described seeing his child foaming at the mouth as he carried out the act.
Law enforcement has withheld the victim’s name due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation and declined further comment.
Edmonds, who has a prior arrest record for domestic violence-related charges from last year, is currently being held at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail without bond until hs next court appearance which is scheduled for December 19.
The Front Royal Police Department urges anyone with additional information about this case to come forward.

The head of the Haitian nonprofit organization Haitian Bridge Alliance has filed criminal charges against Donald Trump and JD Vance for their inflammatory lies about Haitian immigrants.
https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-haitian-nonprofit-in-springfield-files-criminal-charges-against-donald-trump-jd-vance
"The leader of the nonprofit Haitian Bridge Alliance filed charges against former president Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, for the chaos that ensued from their uncorroborated statements about immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, eating pets, according to the Cleveland law firm representing the agency.
RELATED: Residents of Springfield, Ohio, hunker down and pray for a political firestorm to blow over
The Chandra Law Firm says the nonprofit used a state statute allowing private citizens to "file an affidavit charging the offense committed."
The following charges were filed:
Disrupting public service — by causing widespread bomb and other threats that resulted in massive disruptions to the public services in Springfield, Ohio;
Making false alarms — by knowingly causing alarm in the Springfield community by continuing to repeat lies that state and local officials have said were false;
Committing telecommunications harassment — by spreading claims they know to be false during the presidential debate, campaign rallies, nationally televised interviews, and social media;
Committing aggravated menacing in violation — by knowingly making intimidating statements with the intent to abuse, threaten, or harass the recipients, including Trump’s threat to deport immigrants who are here legally to Venezuela, a land they have never known;
Committing aggravated menacing — by knowingly causing others to falsely believe that members of Springfield's Haitian community would cause serious physical harm to the person or property of others in Springfield; and
Violating the prohibition against complicity — by conspiring with one another and spreading vicious lies that caused innocent parties to be parties to their various crimes.
The charges were filed in Clark County Municipal Court.
Through the filing, the nonprofit asks the court to affirm probable cause and to issue arrest warrants.
The court must have a hearing before rejecting the affidavit as part of the legal process."
