We continue the Cleric quest line of Hillsfar by going to way too much trouble to find some stolen incense sticks. We visit pubs, ruins, haunted mansions and sewers when we could have just gone to the corner shop to get it.

HOLY SHiRE- Fuori il nuovo album "Invincible"

Fuori “Invincible”, il terzo album dei milanesi HOLY SHiRE, (Ghost Record Label/AWAL UK). L’album arriva a 6 anni di distanza dal secondo lavoro “The Legendary Shepheds of the Forest”. Composto e prodotto dalla nuova formazione che si è stabilizzata negli anni post pandemia, è stato registrato e mixato da Frank Altare (Orion Recording Studios), masterizzato da Riccardo Parenti (Elephant Mastering) e presenta 10 nuovi brani e un’outro sinfonica. L’uscita dell’album sarà presentato stasera live al Rock on the Road di Desio (MB). Dopo l’estate uscirà il secondo singolo con il video girato in collaborazione con la prestigiosa Scuola del Cinema di Milano Luchino Visconti, “The Seduction of Hollowness”. La musica presenta l’impronta melodica dei precedenti lavori, ma con una maggiore apertura alle sonorità nu metal, la presenza caratteristica del flauto suonato da Kima e delle due voci femminili (Aeon – dragon vocals e Julie – Unicorn Vocals) e i testi legati al mondo fantasy, con Tolkien che rimane la principale fonte di ispirazione. La copertina è stata disgnata da theMaxx (batteria), come nei precedenti due album.

L’album si apre con la marcia dei nani di “Misty”, primo omaggio della band a “lo Hobbit” di Tolkien, per poi scivolare nell’incubo lovecraftiano della cupa “Dagon”, si torna alla luce con “Dragonfly”, dove il flauto descrive il volo della magica libellula, “Voice of Reason” con energia accompagna l’ascoltatore nel mondo di The Witcher, per poi approdare sui lidi della ballad “Waves of Misery”, uno dei singoli, che racconta la dolente storia della sirenetta. “The Cathedral” apre le porte di un sogno dove un giocattolaio misterioso esaudisce ogni desiderio, e di nuovo nel mondo Tolkeniano con Black Thorn ispirata ad una della più struggenti storie d’amore de “Il Silmarillion” e, altro singolo, “The Seduction of Hollowness” che sinuosamente come Grima de “Il Signore degli Anelli” ipnotizza con la magia del flauto. “Dream of you” è il dolce e acustico preludio al primo singolo dell’album “M9”, il brano sicuramente più aggressivo e metal dell’intero lavoro che racconta della mostruosa trasformazione della bellissima Medusa. Il lavoro si chiude con un breve divagazione orchestrale, quasi “timburtoniana”, del tema di Misty.

Chapter 3: Windy Arrival

Narrated by Aeon.

Marina: Aeon!

Narrator: The familiar voice breaks me out of my reverie and drags me back to reality.

Marina: Why didn't you come meet up with us?

Aeon: Sorry, I got lost.

Narrator: Marina stuffs a bunch of souvenirs into my hands.

Nikki: We got this heavy metal album in a record shop. Marina insisted.

Narrator: Before I can thank her, Marina has already run off to play with the sand on the beach.

Momo: Can't believe you like music this loud. I could barely handle listening to it in the store.

Narrator: Momo complains, rubbing his ears.

Nikki: We went skateboarding in the park and did a bit of painting in a studio. That was why we took so long.

Narrator: Tired from the day, Momo slumps onto the ground. Marina, on the other hand, is still energetic.

Momo: She's really a handful, that kid...

Aeon: Sorry for leaving her to you guys.

Narrator: I study the brightly-patterned album in my hands.

Narrator: In the distance, the crowds sing on, their voices leaving light, pleasant hues in the air. Like watercolor.

Narrator: Heavy metal, my favorite genre, is more of a rich, inky sort of color.

Narrator: Perhaps life on the Ark is too much like a plain piece of paper. I needed the colors to spice up my life.

Nikki: Look, Aeon, Marina painted this. A picture of all the things she saw today.

Narrator: In the drawing, I see a beach, crowds, hostels, and village roads. All sights she saw today indeed.

Narrator: How nice. She no longer has to rely on her imagination to complete paintings.

Narrator: From now on, she has real memories of her own. Just like me.

Narrator: As night falls, the crowds on the beach disperse. The smooth sea, reflecting a galaxy of stars, is all that remains.

Narrator: I sit down by the waters and gaze into the ocean.

Narrator: Marina comes trudging over, rubbing her eyes. Perhaps she's not used to sleeping in the new environment yet.

Marina: Why aren't you sleeping, Aeon?

Aeon: The ocean is calm today. I want to sit here for a while.

Marina: I'll watch the ocean with you, then.

Narrator: When we were on the Ark, we often watched the Ocean of Memories together. Now, in Miraland, we have a real ocean in front of us.

Narrator: It's so serene, almost surreal. Like a dream.

Aeon: Marina?

Narrator: Marina's barely sat down for five minutes before dozing off, leaning against me, breathing even.

Narrator: In her hand is the drawing she did today. She mutters in her sleep, something about wanting to see fireworks.

Narrator: Gazing down at the album Marina bought me, I make a wish to rolling waves...

Aeon: I wish Marina and I can go see fireworks in Miraland together.

Narrator: The Ocean of Memories is where emotions and memories meet. Yet Marina and I don't have any memories of our own.

Narrator: We know nothing of our past.

Narrator: But from today on, our past will no longer be blank.

Narrator: We'll fill our sheets of white paper with colors, alongside our new friends.

Narrator: A petrel comes gliding over and lands next to me, as if it's brought me blessings from the gentle night breeze.

Narrator: Someday in the future, we'll return to the Ark.

Narrator: I hope when that day comes, I'll be able to savor the memories I have while gazing over the Ocean of Memories.

VEGGIETALES was a brilliant vehicle for an upbeat child-friendly presentation of the world's most popular spiritual instruction manual. Its producers and staff also demonstrated a gift for cleverly lampooning pop culture. The embedded videos above are among their finest works.

MFF is proud to present recently unveiled images of their spectacular take on the ever-popular APOCALYPSE. This vegetarian edition of the Bible's intimidating conclusion must surely be one of the most important lost classics of film history – conveying both the abject terror and awe-inspiring hope embodied by the legendary REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.

The original director’s cut of the film evidently included LARRY THE CUCUMBER singing one of his signature Silly Songs: a jaunty little ditty about the proper way to stir fry vegetables, featuring many of the Veggies perishing in Satan's wok. Because of this ill-advised detour into dark humor, the film was understandably not released by the studio – for fear of boycotts by the Religious Right, the Young Republicans, and the Vegan Mafia.

Fortunately for us, AI artist NAT SHARPE has unearthed the images displayed in our gallery. On his Twitter account, he writes: "What happened to VeggieTales? Their last movie was The Book Of Revelation. Test audiences were so traumatized [that] the studio canceled the project – and shut their doors. All that remains is a handful of leeked concept art."

So finally... finally... Aeon Dream Studios made a Twitter post, announcing their hiatus. 

“Fantastic!” I thought. “They finally linked the blog post!” Curious, though, that it came on the tail end of Egle (aka Stormvalkyrie) quitting, citing mental health issues.

And then I saw that the blog post was not... the original. As you can see from my photos, the original hiatus post was considerably longer, and now... it is gone. Replaced by this one, where Ajané (aka Xel) is... what? Throwing yet another one of her former team members under the proverbial bus.

This is not the first time she’s done this. Her blog posts and personal Twitter - not to mention the TTEOTS account she also runs - are rife with blame-shifting.

This is incredibly disappointing. It is, in fact, highly unprofessional.

She has shown time and time again through her reactions to former fans that she is incapable of taking criticism, and in fact seems to believe that she cannot possibly be to blame. Instead it is Gess, the third original founder and the original artist. Or now perhaps it is Egle, another founder and lead writer.

It can’t possibly be that Ajané decided to put TTEOTS ahead of her obligations to Kickstarter backers for Mystic Destinies (now more than a year behind schedule). Or that she chose to go ahead with it using the likenesses of members of BTS - without waiting for permission from their agency, BigHit. 

The ensuing legal issue because what was originally supposed to be a free game suddenly had paywalls - and suddenly meant BigHit had huge legal cause to issue a cease and desist - also most certainly isn’t her fault.

Except it is.

Look. I was a backer for Mystic Destinies Deluxe, and Echoes after that. I was a huge fan of Serendipity of Aeons. I told friends about it, I pointed out the gorgeous art, and the fact that - while it had some issues writing-wise - it was a pretty solid first game, and worth looking at. Worth following.

Not any more. The things that made ADS a company worth backing have been run out, run ragged, and are suffering mental health issues because of it, and I’m pretty sure I know the cause.

Changing the hiatus announcement - the original of which was never posted anywhere but the blog - to mentioning Egle’s leaving, and then - and only then - posting it to Twitter for all to see... that is manipulation, pure and simple. It is disgusting, emotional manipulation designed to encourage empathy for her.

She doesn’t care about the fans, she only cares about how much money people are willing to give her.

Well, she’s not getting any more of mine.

TTEOTS AU where PHASe is evil. Lowkey ZeroxReader. 

“W-we can run away, we can run and never look back!” Seven desperately tried to touch Zero who was covered in dust and blood. Thankfully, it was someone else's. Seven kneeled beside him, ignoring what was happening in the background. She only focused on him. Zero seemed shaken, he couldn’t meet with her eyes. He kept looking at this one particular spot on the floor, not even blinking. So Seven tried again. “Zero.. We can run away.. Jungkook..” With that, Zero’s eyes focused on her. “Stop.. O-okay..?” His voice was barely a whisper. “Stop! We can’t run away! N-no one can run away! And s-stop.. Stop calling me that name! I don’t have a name for years!” He stood up, his voice now shaking and he had teared up. “I DON’T HAVE A NAME! NONE OF US DO! THEY..” He quickly glanced at the PHASe operatives far away from them. “They took it from us! We are just fucking numbers and casualties to them, Seven! NOT TO MENTION I AM NOT EVEN NORMAL! THIS.. THIS BODY YOU’RE LOOKING AT IS JUST SOME LAB RAT LIKE OTHERS WHISPER WHENEVER THEY SEE ME!” He was shaking now. Seven tried to reach and cup his cheeks to calm him down but he stepped a few steps back. “S-stop.. J-Just.. Just stop. We can’t run away.. I— I never had a life outside Olympia. I don’t e-even have a name.. We are going to die in here without having a real name.” His words hit Seven like a knife. When she tried to refuse, he shook his head. “Look around you! What do you see except blood, dust and dead PHASe operatives?! This is where we are going to end up, Seven! We are going to end up dying for no reason! HOW CAN YOU EVEN SAY I HAVE A NAME AND THAT WE CAN RUN AWAY?!” He stepped back further, not letting her touch him. He wiped his tears quickly and rushed away from her at an incredible speed. — Even days later Seven couldn’t forget that scenery. Blood, dead operatives and.. And Zero. It was almost 4am and all she could think about was his words. What if he was right about PHASe being careless and selfish? What if.. She shook her head, trying to push the thought away. She looked up at the stars but for the first time, it didn’t help. Instead, it made her think about him even more. “W-what if my brother was right?” She whispered to the sky, waiting for some kind of answer. What if he was right about PHASe being evil? Trying to push the thoughts away, Seven lied on the floor, watching the dark sky. “He can’t be right, can he..?” She mumbled to herself. “That’d explain a lot of things.. Why he’s there, why Kairos feels like home..” She breathed heavily. She focused on the stars once more, trying to name each and every one. Being a drifter they had always used stars as a guide through their journeys. Stars felt safe, they were always trustable. She felt herself drift away, getting sleepy. ”What if he is right?” An unknown voice spoke behind her. Seven rushed up in a second and pulled out her blade as she turned around. Her breath hitched. There he was with his black outfit and hoodie. He had a similar waist scarf but it was completely black as the stars on it shined. He had a weird smile on as if he knew what she was going through. His hair was almost silver with similar highlights to Seven. With only one move, he kicked the blade away from her and grabbed her both wrists tightly. “Nish..” She mumbled. “Hey, sis.” He smirked. His voice was deep yet soft. “What if I was right, huh? Is that what you were thinking of? You’ve seen the bodies there. Not to mention blood is PHASe’s signature now. Are you still going to force yourself to believe they are good?” She couldn’t answer, focusing on his eyes. “Now.. There is someone else waiting for you in KAIROS so we better go.” He whispered, not letting go of her wrists. “Be a good girl now, sis.” He placed a blindfold over her eyes and Seven felt something being injected into her neck. “Wha— Nish!” She felt the drowsiness taking her away almost instantly. “This is for your own good.” She heard him speak. The last thing she remembered was him carrying her as gently as possible.

Our last dance

"You keep pointing that gun at me and blabbering about how much you've been wanting to kill me. I'm beginning to doubt your commitment..."

I heard him say with nonchalance, not even seemed to be concerned by the gun I'm pointing at him, finger on the trigger.

But he was used to it. This wasn't the first time we were like this, gun in hand, finger twitching on the trigger, staring into each other soul while the tension was slowly building up between us before it suddenly exploded.

This was something we were used to.

It's may seem terrifying to say that we were used to almost kill each other but what could I do about it.

There were peoples who usually meet in a particular place during a specifically day or to do something together during a special day or something else, there were so many examples.

Us, it was that. Trying to kill each other.

"Oh but I really want to kill you. I'm just taking my time to appreciate this moment."

I replied with a smirk. He only rolled his eyes before looking back at me.

We stayed like this for like an eternity, eyeing each other in a dead silence.

The tension was slowly building up, like always.

Building up until it reached a breaking point.

A breaking point in which everything exploded and bursted out.

And we reached this point.

Bang

A moment of silence.

Nobody talked, nobody moved.

We just stared at each other soul until he looked down and saw a red flower slowly blooming on his chest.

He just stared at it for a few seconds before meeting my eyes again.

He wasn't even shaking, only standing like a perfect healthy man who hadn't taken a shot.

Even in a weak position, he was still strong.

I thought while studying curiously his tensed features like I was seeing him for the first time.

He was really handsome when you took time to look at him properly and not in trying to shoot or hit him.

Red looked beautiful on his pale skin and clear eyes.

"All that blood looks good on you. It really brings out your eyes."

I said as I stared directly into his icy blue eyes.

Clearer than a crystal, colder than ice and sharper than a knife.

What beautiful but yet frightening eyes he had.

"I'll really miss them."

I muttered under my breath before raising once again the gun.

I let myself drown one last time in his eyes before pressing the trigger and...

Bang

An another moment of silence.

No sound, no mouvement.

I watched closely the man in front of me expecting him to fall or to see an another red flower blooming on him.

But nothing of that.

Instead, I was greeted by a gun pointed directly at me.

And then I felt a sting in my chest.

I looked down and stared with disbelief at the dark stain slowly spreading across my shirt before looking back at him, a sly smirk adorning his lips.

And then I realized it.

He shoot me.

He really did it.

"Same for you. All this red really suits you, it makes you look more radiant."

I only let out a mere chuckle at his words. I then examined the sight of both of us, noticing he was doing it too.

A man and a woman in all red.

Weren't we good looking in this color ?

In this color I loved so much.

I faintly smiled.

"What a pity..."

I mumbled, loud enough for him to hear.

Guess it would be our last night together.

I voiced my last words of the night, words in which he seemed to agree to.

"If I had known that it would be our last dance, I would have dressed for the occasion."

Let's Play: Curse of the Azure Bonds (1989) - Part 10

Clearing out the town of Essembra we find Owlbears in league with a Drow mage, and returning to Phlan (the location for Pools of Radiance) we fight some Red Plumes which want to set up some Zentharim. We then return to our main quest when we start out to get rid of the mark of Moander in the town of Yulash.

Creating the first BTS Visual Novel Game (Aeon Dream Studios)

Hello fellow ARMYs :D

For the past few years, Aeon Dream Studios have been working on a huge gaming project inspired by BTS and their concepts.

To The Edge of the Sky Demo Review.

Enter the year 2077 and become Seven, the newest addition to Phantom Alpha, a secret team who operates under the enigmatic government organization known as P.H.A.N.T.A.S.M.

After joining, you find yourself befriending the other rookie on the team, an incredibly skilled youth known to you only as Zero. As you meet the other members, you realize that despite being a team, they all vary drastically in personality, background, talent and ability.

Regardless of your differences, Phantom Alpha diligently completes missions alongside each other. But together, you soon discover that on the other side of the radiant world of light, lies an equally dark world of shadow.

Everything to this game has been updated in terms of art and assets for the GUI system and it looks beautiful! All the character have a futuristic look to them that go well with the setting of the game -- they are  all dangerous but they are all hiding something even more, just like the wonderful city that they live in. Olympia City is as gorgeous as ever, but it is great to see more areas that will be important to the story. Aeon Dream Studios is putting everything that they can into this game, and the story doesn’t fall behind either. 

 As in the earlier demo, Evren is heading towards Olympia City when she suddenly crosses paths with some bandits. At the same time, she meets a group of young men and they help each other against the group of bandits, as the young men introduce themselves as Zero, Four, and Nine. While, they don’t seem to have the best first time interactions, they end up meeting again as she enters the group as well. Evren ends up meeting Dr. Park and is explained why she was chosen for this project and from this point, the player is allowed to see some extra character scenes. 

I really enjoyed seeing the scene with Zero and that they were able to sort of bond due to being the newest members of the team. Evren’s scenes with Four and Six are a bit more complicated due to their personalities and positions on the team, but it will be intersting to see how that develops over the course of the story. Though, they are only referenced in the game, I am also excited to see the rest of the team in the full game. From how Evern reacts to the city she has been hoping to see for so long, it seems that there are a lot of issues in play within the game, so it would be nice to see just how they develop within a full game because it has the potential for a drama and and growth for all of the team.
