i've decided to try to do @the-slumberparty's December Daze advent calendar challenge, and i'm excited to get into the holiday spirit!! i feel like i don't normally write a lot of christmas/december holiday fics so this should be fun!! 🎄❄️

a couple notes: instead of doing every day like a true advent calendar, i'm aiming for every three days (mainly because i'm trying to be realistic and give myself room to work on other things at the same time). still, this is going to be a very loose posting schedule. also i'm deciding on characters as i go along so i'll add those in only once i've decided.

Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are both time and space travelers whose mission is to protect and bring balance to the different realms in which they're sent by the Force.

Anakin and Obi-Wan are also bonded by a very rare and ancient prophecy, making them a Dyad in the Force, tied by souls and magics one can only begin to understand.

Every year, whatever the time, whatever the universe, they find themselves reunited on Christmas day, for 24h.

Year after year, meeting after meeting, they fall a little bit more for each other. Until a single day a year is not enough for all they want to say, for all they want to do. Until the moment they have to say goodbye becomes more painful than the joy of seeing each other.

They spend a lot of time trying to break the curse, to desperately extend time, but as surely as the Sun goes down every evening, the second the clock strikes midnight they're both sent back in different times and spaces. Condemned to grow old separately without knowing if the other will make it next Christmas.

Can their fate be changed eventually ?

Snowball fight on base

Literally what's going on

The title pretty much gives it away.

"I prefer the old base actually...", Sam mumbled under his breath, but you and Mikaela heard him.

"Don't be a wuss, it's only cold if you go outside."

"He's scared of the Polar bears.", Mikaela snickers, adjusting her scarf.

You turn to look at your brother. "Polar bears...? In a severely feced, supervised and protected area like this? There are none here. Outside of the fence, yes but as long as you don't go there you'll be fine."

"Hrmph", was the only thing he brought out, regretting ever leaving the warmth of the base.

The three of you didn't walk for long, when you spot a group of bots and soldiers having an intense snowball fight.

After getting a closer look you noticed that there aren't any teams, just them throwing the cold bullets everywhere.

Before you could ask to join, a snowball hit Sam's arm. You take this as an invitation, bending down to grab some snow and running towards the battlefield.

Ratchet and Ironhide had a rather bitter 1v1, and you couldn't figure out what fueled it for the better of it.

"Alright, let's form teams.", you say looking into the round of bots and humans alike.

"I will not be in HIS team.", Ratchet states, shooting a glare at Ironhide, who already held two snowballs, one in each servo.

With that, the Medic walks over to Jazz.

"Fine, we'll win.", the weapon's specialist grumbles, staying next to you.

"Wait, you're participating Ratchet?", you ask rather confused.

Usually the medic distanced himself from such activities.

"If I can get some sense into this bot's processor I'll do this."

"That's the spirit.", Epps chuckled, standing next to the Medic.

"Oh come on Epps, that's betrayal!"

"That's what you get for eating the last coconut macaroon. Now that is betrayal"

He points at you. "You gotta make more of those."

You show a thumbs up at him. "Will do!"

"Come over here.", Jazz calls to you.

Shaking your head, you decline, forming a snowball in your hands.

"No chance, I wanna beat yo ass!", you yell, laughing.

You look over to Lennox, who walks up to you, armed as well.

"Alright everyone, walk over to the your team of choice.", Lennox shouted for everyone to hear.

"And keep it even!", you add.

After some rustling, uncertainty and more yelling, everyone had found their teams.

Your team consisted of Ironhide, Lennox, Mudflap, Jolt, Dino, Mikaela and 3 other soldiers.

Jazz's team got Ratchet, Bumblebee, Epps, Skids who was adamant on beating his twin, Arcee, Wheelie, Sideswipe, Sam

"That is not even!", Skids complains in frustration.

A snowball hits him right in the face.

"Cuz we ain't 20 people. We're 19 so live with it!", Mudflap shouts across the freshly formed battlefield.

This was the non communicated sign to let the fire begin.

In the span of 5 seconds, what was a peaceful spot turned into a storm of flying snowballs.

You realized that you didn't agree on any rules, the rather big snowballs hitting you being a cruel reminder of that.

"Try not to make the humans fly away with your throws!", Ironhide calls out loudly, saving your and the other human's behinds.

Bering and Wells Advent Calendar

A bit spontaneous, but this is a fanfic collab event we just came up with today on the discord server, us being @birdofdawning (idea for the fic) @lavendelhummel (advent calendar idea) and myself (collab idea):

24 days of Bering and Wells ficlets, creating a (semi-)cohesive getting together fanfiction! If you want to write for one of the days, sign up in a reblog addition or ask, and your name will be put on the list! You write your ficlet and aim to post it on the corresponding day of December, but as long as it’s posted some time in the month it’s fine. If you can coordinate with the people who post the days before yours, maybe tell us your planned summaries so everyone can adjust accordingly, that’s cool, but if the ficlets don’t fit together perfectly that’s alright, we’re just here to have a fun B&W advent time!

“Never get involved with a roommate!” The fanfic idea is: each day’s title is something Myka tells herself not to do in order to avoid getting involved with Helena, and of course ends up doing anyway.

No minimum wordcount - you can write a drabble as long as it fits the theme!

The setting we came up with on discord is an AU in which Helena and Myka live in the same apartment - less baggage than canon, but just as many feels! More details to it can be found here!

Here's a prompt, challenge or encouragement for every day this December. You can queue some of them, and ignore others. They're designed to be done one each day, but you can pick and choose what suits you.

Write a winter holiday starter!

Find a winter themed meme and reblog it.

Muse headcanon prompt - what, if anything, do they celebrate? And how do they feel about it?

Change your blog theme to fit the season. If that feels overwhelming, just change your avatar picture.

Go through your mutuals and write up an ask that details everything you like about them, be it anonymously or not.

Write an open holiday starter that anyone can join and open the proverbial doors.

Make an effort to send out a few memes to your mutuals and followers, extra points if it’s holiday themed.

Muse headcanon prompt - what do they wear to the holiday office party?

Write holiday letters or postcards from the POV of your muse to another muse and post them on your blog. 

Write a starter where winter is the enemy - be it because of a violent blizzard or a terrible winter witch.

Muse headcanon prompt - if they went on a holiday vacation for the season, where would they go?

Clean up your muse bios and make them ready for the new year.

Find or make some winter themed moodboards and post them to your blog. 

Write a winter poem to the RPC and post it. Tag it with #RPCpoem, so we can all see them!

Take a break. We’re mid-december and things are getting stressful for a lot of us. Leave tumblr for a bit and carve out some time for IRL recovery today, even if it’s just 10 minutes by yourself in the bathroom.

Find a winter fairy tale and write a starter OR a headcanon based on that (from https://fairytalez.com/ for example). Doesn’t have to be fairy tale themed, just take some inspiration.

Make a pinterest board of your muse and their holiday celebration during winter. If they don’t celebrate, show us what they’re doing instead.

How would a winter holiday with your muse sound like? Make a playlist.

Search the open starter tag (or any RP tag you follow) and take the plunge. If there’s an open starter you like where the blog is open for newcomers, reply to it. If you find a blog you like, follow them. 

Send someone in the RPC a gift. For example: Write a little drabble, just one paragraph, of what your muse would give their muse. Or see if you can tip their blog, if you’ve got the finances to. Or just send them that picture or pin that made you think of them, even if you don’t dare to.

Muse headcanon prompt - this is usually a time for family, found or otherwise, which is either a good or a terrible time. How does it look for your muse and what is their relationship to their family like? 

Mistletoe time. Make a starter call for some winter kisses, see if anyone takes the bait. 

It’s time for another break! This time, try shutting down the internet and your computer a little earlier before bedtime.

Day 6 and therefore the last day focusing on watercolors. In this case, Pen Store had even written the challenge to create something using all the new supplies that have now been added. I tried to use as few extras as possible. Just a few of my watercolors, a larger brush for the larger areas and drawing gum on the loose petals. Apart from that, I worked exclusively with the loot here. We had started this section with Underlust, so - since Rosie the Rose is the first character I thought of who has this color combo - we'll finish this section with Underlust as well. Started with the most tainted character of this  Undertale AU and ending with the purest. 🌹

Ey wake up, there's weird stuff outside!”

You shriek as Jazz opened the door in his holoformhis eyes wide.

“What?”

He gestures wildly with his hands.

“White! It's white everywhere!!”

Jumping up from your bed you pull the curtains open, mouth agape as you see what he was talking about.

“It snowed!” Balling a fist in triumph, you smile, turning around to face him again.

“I'm gonna go outside now!”, you say excitedly, quickly throwing on a jacket and scarf.

With him right behind you, you make your way outside.

Entering the main hall on your way outside, you meet a very confused group of bots standing at the main entrance, not daring to step out.

The sight of you seemed to relax them at least a little.

“What is this nonsense?!”, Ironhide complained loudly.

Bumblebee was the only one who understood the situation, playing Christmas songs over his radio.

🎶Let it snow let it snow let it snow🎶

“Guys, what are you doing?”, you ask as you walk past, out into the snow they seemed to fear so badly.

“You're not going out, are you?”, the weapons specialist questioned.

“Why not? It's the first snow of the year. Might as well enjoy it.”

Now it was Optimus who spoke up, his voice carrying a hint of incredulity.

“So this is a natural occurrence? Snow?”

“Yes, of course. Is this your first snow?!”

They all look at each other, shrugging.

“Alright, let me explain it to you. When it's cold, the water you know as rain, comes down as snow. The little white flaky things.”

“Could you please explain why that happens?”

“The further you go up, the colder it gets. Clouds are made of water. This water is actually frozen and melts on its way down to earth. When it's cold enough it doesn't, making it snow.”

You nod towards the outside. “This over there. It's harmless as long as you keep warm and don't stay outside for too long.”

And with that, you walk pass them into the white blanket of snow.

The crunch sound your feet make with every step, raised their curiosity and Bumblebee was the first one to step a pede out. Beeping excitedly, he jumps out completely, kicking the snow around.

“See?”, you ask amused. “Totally harmless.”

Like a flock of birds, they stand there, Ratchet being the next one to try and walk into the snow.

He shakes his pede, unsure of what to think, while Ironhide stomps out next to him.

Jazz walks out as well while Optimus and Ratchet stay inside, away from the strange white material.

“This is gonna be hilarious.”, you chuckle.
