November 26-án a Miskolc Pesti úti feltáráson a friss hóban készíthettünk volna hóembert vagy hóangyalkát is, de bevallom, már nem sok hangulatunk volt hozzá. Azonban az s300-as számmal jelzett római császárkori kemenceomladék horolásakor a képen látható leányka pattant elém. El kell ismerjem sárosan, laposan, lekerekített szélekkel, elsőre kavicsnak nézve, majdnem egy távolabbi meddőn végezte, de a tárgy szimmetrikus alakja megállította a mozdulatot. Elsősorban középkorral foglalkozom, így egy távoli emlék kezdett derengeni: egy idol? Felhasználva az akkora már olvadó hó tisztító erejét, Galkó Józsi kollégám adta meg a pontos választ: valóban, egy késő bronzkori, hegedű alakú idol. Gyorsan beküldve a fotót korszakos kollégáknak is, jött a válasz. Gyönyörű!, kevés hasonló akad a gyűjteményünkben (Miskolcról, Oszlárról, Pácinból és Vattáról). Az sajnos valószínűleg örök titok marad, hogy a Kr. e. első évezred elejéről származó kultikus tárgy, hogy került egy Kr. u. 3-4 . századi germán család kemencéjére vagy kemencéjébe… Minden esetre, akkor délben a „Miskolc, MI-SHOP” ásatás legszebb leletét tartottam a kezemben. ☺️

The Advent Music Box

It started with a music box.

Steve’s parents had sent him a care package that arrived on the first of December and in it was some snacks, a few items clearly intended as Christmas presents and the music box.

There was a sticker on it saying there were cookies inside it too but he took most of the morning to figure out that instead of taking a lid off like most tins needed, he had to remove the bottom of the music box.

That was what gave him the idea to fill it and challenge the kids to get the treats from inside. Since they didn’t actually go to his house very often he took it into Family Video, sure at least one of the kids would turn up sooner or later.

Perhaps he could even swing seeing them every day if he said he’d fill it with at least something small for them each day.

Advent Part 1 - Download Newsea Counting Stars with elastic in black - Download Newsea Counting Stars with elastic in Jewel colors

Suprise! I have something special to share this December. My list of hairs that I still want to retexture was getting way too long, especially for the female hairs! So I have decided to focus on the female hair meshes by Newsea this month. I did not have time to make 24 retextures for a full advent calendar, but there are still plenty of retextures to share one every other day until Christmas. Consider this mini advent calendar my final gift of 2024 for you! I will tag them under Advent 2024. I hope you will like them!

The first gift is a retexture of Newsea Couting Stars. This hair has 2 elastics. I have made one version in which the elastics are black (shown on the left) and one version in which I used Aelia's Jewel colors to give every haircolor a different colored elastic (shown on the right).

December 5th - Pokemon Advent

Did this really quick and I don't like the look too much, but that's just me

Toedscool clock!

This was from a multipack with cards like Gardevoir EX, Toedscruel (shiny), and a few others. I chose toedscool because he was in the top of the stack when I opened it. Also, squid clock.

I'm caught up now, and I got to make a land squid clock, so a win-win.

🎁0️⃣8️⃣🎄Amikor valami nem az, aminek elsőre látszik 😊

"Kis méretű, kerek gödör, mely szürkésbarna színű betöltéssel jelentkezett...." Így szerepelt a foltleírásban. Aztán egy hűvös őszi reggelen az egyik bontómunkásunk feladatául kapta, hogy bontsa félbe az S586-ot (ez volt ugyanis az azonosító száma). A szorgos munka során végül előkerült egy tál szinte teljes egészében. Ekkor gyanús volt, nem egyszerű hulladékgödörből van szó, melyekből általában  kerámiatöredékeket szoktunk gyűjteni. A bontását ezután Simon József kollégánk folytatta. A közelben sírok helyezkedtek el, amelyek szabályos sorainak egyikébe végül szépen beleilleszkedett. Így az egyszerű gödörből a legméretesebb sírgödör lett, melyben egy, a rézkor idejében élt nő csontváza feküdt. Mellé sok, egészen pontosan 18 szebbnél szebb edényt helyeztek az akkori szokásoknak megfelelően útravalóul a túlvilágra, melyeket évezredek múltán elsőként mi láthattunk, érinthettünk meg újra.🙏

Hay Day

Sunny and above freezing, but the wind is cold! Turned Chester out while I unloaded hay.

First Sunday of Advent means the wait has begun for Jesus' arrival. In the meantime, Mary is gonna play with the lamb. 💙
