The light from within the box shines through Anubis’ profile. Each of the Box’s edges become openings.

Remus knows it’s the last part, already knows this one works because it had before. The last piece of paper shakes in his hands.

“It is your lip that makes for you, it is the knowledge of your mouth,” he says, the words different in context of his day with Sirius, alive through speaking them into warm skin. “I have brought you your enemy, for him to be offered beneath you. I have balanced your mouth and bones for you.”

The moment he speaks the last words, the Box opens up like an origami bird. Unfolds at the edges, slowly falls flat. The light from inside shines a blinding sheen, then dies away. The inside is black, onyx-like, with hieroglyphs carved into the stone. A gilded cage floats above it, electric currents running through the prongs. Inside of it a flower suspended in the cradle of magic and a vial with pearl-sheen, whispy, mist-like liquid.

“Holy fuck, Remus, you did it.”

So like I'm still trying to process everything because mentally I'm like a week late from everything that's been happening so far.

I already made a post about Jaiden leaving the server but I think it's just kind of hitting me now that I'll never get to see qjaiden interact with Empanada or be part of the breakfast village or get an answer about her wings and connection to Cucurucho. And I'll probably watch old clips or vods and just feel really sad that it's over but so glad that it happened.

Because like, do y'all remember that one day before the ice chamber gang joined the server and Cellbit, Foolish, Bad, Jaiden, and I think Roier were just hanging out and spending time together until they got kicked out of the server.

I think the Jaidens' entire adventure is and will always be one of my favorite days too.

Oh! And of course, Festa Junina and Jaiden finding out about Cellbit and Roier and her comforting Roier and subtly threatening Cellbit for breaking his heart.

Not to mention she is literally the most iconic lawyer ever. Like juanaflippa's trial will always be one of the most iconic server moments because of Jaidens' speech. Literally blew everyone away.

And of course... I'll never forget the day Bobby died. That day, that trip to the dungeon is one of the only two times I cried for the lore of this server. Many things make me emotional but seeing qJaiden climb up on the tree alone, watching the sunset and grieving her dead son...fuck man, it felt so real...

There's just so many moments of qJaiden specifically from June to September, that just stick out to me and I'll always look back at them with a bittersweet fondness.

It's been so long since I properly thought about qJaiden, but now everything is coming back to me and man... I'm just...I guess I'm more happy that we got qJaiden and everything she did and was a part of is there to look back on.

For me, even though the qJaiden brainrot wasn't hitting as hard as it used to, I think she will always be a part of the narrative because there was just so many amazing moments with her and I will always be a fan of her lore and this character will always be close to my heart.

Sending nothing but love to Jaiden and the admins. Especially Jaiden. Thank you for letting us experience this wonderful journey <333

Ethubs and gempearl double date?

uh so we’re ignoring the fact it took me a month to do this uh and also the fact that this is definitely not a drabble anymore

fic under cut!

When Gem had suggested a double date, this was not what Etho had in mind. He was thinking more of a restaurant, not.. wherever Gem was leading them? As they rode along, they passed Etho’s base. Gem refused to tell any of the other three where they were going, insisting it was a surprise, and that they would “all love it and have so much fun! Etho got a bit lost in thought, following Gem to wherever they were going. Eventually, after what felt like forever (but was probably like fifteen minutes) Gem came to a halt in front of a very dense forest. She wordlessly placed down a couple fence posts and handed out leads for them to tie their horses up, before grabbing Pearl’s hand and leading them into the forest. As they walked through, the branches and vines seemed to bend out of their way. Eventually they came to a clearing where Etho could hear rushing water.

As it came into view, he spotted a majestic waterfall and a beautiful picnic blanket laid out with a delicious spread of food on it. Gem instructed them all to put their stuff down and headed over to the waterfall and water basin. Bdubs grabbed Etho’s hand, tugging him over to where Gem and Pearl were splashing around in the water. Etho carefully stepped in, sitting down on the bank with his feet in the frigid water, whilst Bdubs swam around, playing with Gem and Pearl and occasionally splashing Etho.

After a while, they got tired of the water and headed back to the picnic. Gem must have enlisted Xisuma’s help to work some admin magic, because the food was somehow still piping hot (or cold). Etho grabbed some fruit and a sandwich and put it on a plate, engaging in some lovely conversation with Pearl about the postal system. As the afternoon turned to evening, the sunset made gorgeous colors in the sky. Eventually Pearl and Bdubs started to get tired, curling into their respective partner’s sides

As night fell, Etho’s ears perked up as he heard the quietest ticking of a redstone circuit. Suddenly the sky lit up in the beautiful vibrant colors of Cub’s fireworks. Bdubs perked up, pulling Etho into a kiss under the display as the fireworks made beautiful shapes in the sky. As Etho pulled away to get a breath, he saw that Pearl had fallen asleep on Gem’s lap, tail wagging as if she was having a happy dream. Silently, Etho got up, starting to pack up the picnic with the help of Bdubs since Gem was currently preoccupied.

As the four made their ways home, Etho and Bdubs headed to Etho’s base, with Bdubs getting more and more sleepy the closer they got. When they arrived, Etho noticed that Bdubs had fallen completely asleep, and so after tying up their horses, he carried Bdubs into the base, setting him down on the bed before climbing on and falling asleep.
