✨Reasons why I Think Gwyn isn’t getting her own POV✨
1) We already know so much about her.
In acosf we get a ton of information about Gwyn. We get her reveal of her deep rooted trauma, how it affects her and her starting to overcome her fear. We also get background info on her lineage. We learn alot of about her personality and we see her start to really grow. If she was getting her own POV SJM would have saved most of that for her story and her POV. Let’s look at Lidia and Yrene for example. We got little bits and pieces of info about them before their POV but we didn’t get to learn their true story or traumas until their pov. We see them start to grow and overcomes their pasts through their pov. Let’s contrast that with characters like Asterin & Fenrys. They are strong supporting characters but we got their trauma and start of their growth from Manon & Aelins POVs. We got their feelings about what they went through, through someone else’s POVS. Just like we did for Gwyn.
2) She is not tied to the over arching plot.
Gwyn has never even met Feyre, the main character to the story. Gwyn is tied to the Valkyries and to Nesta but not to the over arching plot. Let’s look at Yrene for example. Yrene came in in Assassins blade in Aelins storyline. She was directly tied to the over arching plot through Aelin and being a healer. Now contrast that with Asterin. Asterin was important in Manons story and she was tied to the 13. While a important character in Manons story she was not tied to the over arching plot. Just like Gwyn is important to Nesta and the Valkyries.
3) There was no hints to her in Hofas.
When SJM is bringing in a new main character she leaves little hints leading up to it before we get there. Again Yrene we got hints to her in assassins blade and aelin remembers the healer she met then at different times, Lidia had building up since the first CC book. Now since Gwyn came in in Acosf the only other book she could have had some hints to is HOFAS. And we got absolutely nothing for her. Which honestly suprised me regardless because this would have been the PERFECT time to give a little something something about Gwyn seeing as this was the world crossover and Gwyn had been working with Merrill studying the possibility of other worlds.
If you go but SJMS writing style it doesn’t seem likely Gwyn is getting her own POV. I know anti elriels like to try and equate Gwyn to Yrene but Gwyn is acotars Asterin. Both great characters and important as supporting characters but we get their story through someone else POV. If Acotar was written in multiple POVs (3+ POVs per book at times)like TOG or Crescent city then I could see maybe but since SJM has said the last 2 remaining books & Novella will be focused on 2 different couples I don’t think it’s likely Gwyn who is the newest character, is not tied to the over arching plot and has already had a growth arc is going to get one of those.

I know there’s stuff about the cauldron being corrupted, but I think it’s a lot deeper than that. I think the entire land of Prythian is corrupted.
The magic chooses MEN to be the rulers, despite the far acknowledging and worshipping an absolute FEMALE goddess. Irl this would usually correlates to a matriarchal society
I really hope SJM does something with this because as a person who studied theology she knows that (or maybe she is just a bad writer idk 🤷‍♀️)

So, everyone thinks Feyre = Mother, Elain = Maiden, Nesta = Crone, right? WRONG.
Well, Feyre DOES = Mother, but I argue that Elain & Nesta should be switched. Why? I’m glad you asked.
NESTA = MAIDEN
was an actual maiden when she went into the Cauldron (notably the only Archeron sister who was still a virgin)
prythian quivered when she was "born" or Made
canonically, the only character who can Make things
persephone, the greek goddess represented the Maiden, is associated with death and destruction as well as life and growth
part of her growth & healing journey was embracing girlhood and expression of self, a reclaiming of things the Maiden is associated with
ELAIN = CRONE
is a Seer, pertains to wisdom and endings (she predicted death but also prevented it with some of her visions)
crone is associated with midday (her mate is Lucien)
associated with nurturing - Elain gardens
Elain must learn to accept change and come to terms with the "death" of her old life, things the Crone is known for representing
hecate is known as the Crone, goddess of witchcraft, ghosts, necromancy, etc
Seers in the Maasverse are first introduced with the Ironteeth witches in TOG, and remain strongly associated with them throughout that series

Another opinion cause I'm bored.
People only ship Mor and Emerie because they're one of the canon queer characters.
Yeah, I said it. Sue me.
Yes, Emerie blushed Mor during solstice but she also blushed at Rhysand. And since it's Rhysand, he's so handsome and beautiful and blah.
Blushing at someone doesn't imply they will end up together.
Mor said that Nesta should be tossed in the court of nightmares and to toss her back to the mortal lands.
The court of nightmares where she was heavily abused by her father?
Nesta, who is Emerie's best friend and sister?
And people think Emerie would like her, let alone be with her?
This ship is ASS but do what you wanna do.
Anyways, what about Cressida? That's a good ship.
Remember, this is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

The hottest thing Cassian did In ACOSF wasn’t the headboard scene…
It was when the queen was gonna have him kill Nesta and he decided to kill himself instead

to be clear: I hate Mor because she’s not a girl’s girl (though she loves to pretend she is)
I might have considered hating her less if it turned out she was so cruel to Nesta because she was wildly attracted to her and was jealous because she could see how Nesta and Cassian had a thing between them, but she’s clearly just upset at losing the attention of one of the toys she’s had fawning over her for 500 years

If SJM has it revealed that Rhysand was always the villain he was in the beginning and Feyre has a realization of how much he used/abused her I may have to admit that she’s a much better writer than I give her credit for.
The bad guy who pretends to be the soulful sweetheart was putting on an act plot twist I would love to see.

Rhys isn't good guy playing bad. He did bad things and sometimes felt bad about it.
Eris technically doesn't do anything wrong. People believe he did. He doesn't deny the rumours and plays along.
Eris is the real good guy playing bad.

Imagine being R4ped, SA and tortured for 50 years. Apart from your family, isolated and alone. Having to put on a mask to make everyone hate you but deep down you’re just trying to survive. Imagine being locked up in a cell deep within a mountain; where you’re tortured, made fun off, mentally and emotionally drained, day by day you’re losing your humanity and eventually you die only to be brought back to life as a strange new being.
Imagine going through all of that hard journey; losing yourself, losing the ones you love, fighting for a chance to be happy and once you finally get your happy ending it’s invalidated. You dont “deserve” it. You’re villainised and hated. Since other characters have gone through “more” trauma or deserve their happy ending more then you deserve yours. Or to make another character seem better, your entire story is undermined. Your trauma minimised compared to theirs.
Idc what this fandom says; Feyre & Rhys went through literal hell. They had to make tough choices and decisions but it was all for the ones they loved. They deserve to be happy & don’t deserve the treatment certain parts of the fandom are giving them.

If you love Feyre ending up with Rhysand after he physically emotionally and sexually abused her by todays standards….
If you love Ruhn and Lidia after he straight up shoots her in the leg to stop her from trying to go against someone and protect her sons…
If you love Rowan and Aelin after he literally punched her in the face and told her she was better off dead like her family….
If you love Aedion & Lysandra after she conspired with his cousin to trick him and use him to have babies behind his back if it came down to it and then when he finds out is upset and throws her naked in the snow…
If your ok with ALLLLL of that…don’t go after people who still love Tamlin/Nesta & Chaol. Or people who want Tamlin to get a happy ending too.
If you don’t think it’s problematic for all these other couples to be together after the things they’ve done in the books then you have no right to say anyone’s problematic for wanting another fictional character to get a happy ending too.
& to be clear this is all fictional. I don’t think there is anything wrong loving any of these couples or romance stories because they aren’t real. They take place in a fictional world with different morals/standards ect. I actually love most of these couples too… but you can’t sit here and ignore allllll of this and super problematic themes and romances for all these couples but then judge others who just enjoy different fictional characters/ships.
“But it’s different because SJM put a domestic violence hotline in the books so it’s her intention to make tamlin abusive and no one else”
I can guarentee you if a man ever did to her best friend in real life what rhysand/rowan or 95% of the other men in her series did she would 100% think it’s abuse. It’s even ironic in Hofas rhysand explodes a room in anger towards nesta and it triggers Ember. SJM wrote this but you think she wouldn’t think this is abuse? Come on now.
We all have different triggers and that’s very valid. We all like different characters and ships and that’s very valid. But I am so tired of people excusing allll of this and all these forms of abuse BUT then vilifying and judging anyone who still loves tamlin/nesta/ chaol or anyone who wants tamlin to get a romantic happy ending too after he heals.
If the abuse bothers you then call out ALL abuse. Not just for the characters you don’t like. Or at the very least stop judging people for liking other characters when ALL of these characters would be considered very problematic in real life.

I never thought I’d be out here defending SJM on something, but I’ve seen the sentiment that her writing has gone downhill during/after ACOSF
Yk she has children right? She doesn’t have the same priorities or time to focus solely on writing, and that’s fine. For people who get up in arms about people disliking Feyre’s pregnancy arc, you sure don’t extend the same grace to a real woman.
And on top of that people are complaining about her work slowing down? Like sorry you got spoiled with a book a year, but that also ensures more quality, which you were literally just complaining about.
ALSO
Her writing did not go downhill with ACOSF, y’all just hate Nesta and therefore hate the book. You can complain about her ruining characters or what not, but they acted the exact same as they usually do, you just get the pov is someone whom their actions don’t benefit.
Y’all are the same people who argue that she knows her character best, and because she and the narrative say that Rhysand and co. are good people, then they must be so.
Her writing has been consistent and ACOSF is no more problematic or poorly written than her past books (which are already pretty poor, so complaining about it now makes no sense). Honestly, imo, ACOSF is one of her better written books because it carries a lot of nuance and pulls from her own life. Do I like the book? No. I dislike how she treats Nesta’s mental health and boundaries, but all her books have the same issues. Just say you didn’t enjoy this book and move on, but don’t bash any more than the rest just because it didn’t focus on your favs.

Stop saying Tamlin is boring because he's a vanilla type of guy (in a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 way)
First of all, him and Feyre banged in the grass after he proposed to her. Many times I believe.
Second of all, he's good at playing the fiddle, meaning he's good with his fingers. And Feyre tells us so (acomaf, chapter 2).
Third of all, he's a nature guy. He could use vines to tie you up or some shit. Nature shibari.
Fourth of all, he's got a beast form. There are some monster fuckers out there so yeah... Do what you will with that.
Fifth of all, he can shapeshift. Himself and others. If you want to experiment, he's down. If you wanted to be shapeshifted into a man, he'll shapeshift into a woman and y'all can go to TOWN. Pull his hair, those luscious locks.
Sixth of all, he's got nice, sharp nails. He'll drag it down your back. Feyre mentions it in Acowar when he drags his nails and Tam smiled. HE A FREAKY GAL.
Seventh of all, he eats pussy like it's his last day on earth. He will make you see heaven again and again and again. AFTER HE BUSTED A NUT IN FEYRE, HE WENT DOWN ON HER. HE ON FREAKY TIME.
Anyways, take care✌🏾
