This is just a friendly reminder to all those out there with poor eating and drinking habits.
Remember to HYDRATE.
I was released from the hospital a couple days ago for Severe dehydration to the point where I developed Metabolic Acidosis, which can be fatal. On top of Hypokalemia which basically means you're potassium starved.
I had a severe crash out after helping a guy push his car from the road into an autozone parking lot and I went into shock. My chest was extremely tight, I was fighting to simply breathe and stay awake, my legs couldnt support my weight from standing, and my vision was extremly blurred. Not something I'd ever wish on anyone.
Please remember to take care of yourself. I haven't done so myself for multiple reasons.. still trying to figure out my self worth problems. But I don't ever want to feel like that again.

It should say rapid breathing -> respiratory alkalosis (not metabolic alkalosis). For anyone with tachypnea, get as aspirin (salicylate) level.
Treat salicylate toxicity with urine alkalinization (D5W with NaCO3 100 mEq) to ionize aspirin. May need dialysis.
EtOH ingestion in a child can cause constricted pupils and hypoglycemia.

THE OCCURRENCE OF BLOAT AND ACIDOSIS METABOLIC DISORDERS AND MORTALITY RATES IN GRAZING SHEEP | Journal of Global Agriculture and Ecology
2000 Gizel sheep in six flocks were evaluated for bloat and acute acidosis from mid-March to late-October. The sheep were first given alfalfa and grain field residue in the morning and afternoon. The amount of time spent grazing in an alfalfa field was shown to be an effective factor in the development of bloat, whereas the residue of grain fields was found to be an effective factor in the development of acidosis. The results revealed that the index number of observed bloat and acidosis relative to the entire herd was influenced by alfalfa grazing duration and grain residue. In addition, the number of bloats seen in the afternoon was much higher than in the morning. Furthermore, the index number of When compared to the entire herd, grazing time had an effect on bloat mortality, and the death rate was significant. Treatment duration and type impacted the number of deaths caused by acute acidosis relative to the total quantity of acute acidosis observed. The sheep that were treated more quickly and by professionals died at a lower rate. Please see the link :- https://www.ikprress.org/index.php/JOGAE/article/view/355

Review: One of Important Metabolic Disorder is Sara Correlation between Milk Fat Depression-Juniper Publishers
JUNIPER PUBLISHERS-OPEN ACCESS JOURNAL OF DAIRY & VETERINARY SCIENCES
Abstract
Rumen acidosis is a digestive disorder that occurs when ruminants consume carbohydrate-based feeds that can be fermented easily. Under normal conditions, the pH value of the rumen is between 5.5 and 7.0, while the critical value for acidosis is 5.8. Acidosis categorized in different forms is known as acute and subacute (SARA) or more frequently clinical and subclinical acidosis. Acute acidosis occurs whenthe pH value of therumenfallsbelow 5.0, SARA, which occurs on a flock basis and results in severe economic losses, occurs when the pH value is between 5.0 and 5.5. Many studies have shown that the cause and theconsequences of thedecrease in pH value lead to acidosis. The accumulation of volatile fattyacids (VFA), which is abolished by the degradation of carbohydrates, decreases the pH value of the rumen accumulation and decreases the pH value, thus reducing the feed consumption.
Keywords: Acidosis; Ruminant; SCFA; pH value; Fattyacids; Carbohydrates; Acidosis; Feed stuffs; Bovine disease; Acetic acid; Butyric acid; Propionic acid; Endotoxins; Lypolysis; Insulin; Diagnosing; Grains
Ruminal Acidosis
Ruminal acidosis is a bovine disease that affects ruminants that are fed with high-grain diets. Easily fermentable carbohydrates inclusion creates short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) within a short time after consumption, which can cause a reduction in ruminal pH [1]. It can be present in different forms, is known as acute and subacute or more frequently clinical and subclinical acidosis. Factors affecting of acidosis are not only high grain diets, but also type of ration meaning of the ratio of for age and concentrate, the source of grains, processing methods of feed stuffs, moisture of feed, feding system, feding with different diets without adaptaion period and sometimes my cotoxins and unsaturated fatty acids.
According to results of some studies the prevalence of SARA in dairy herds is atrange between 11% and 26% [2,3], although on account of no clinical signals, this prevalence might be even higher.
Signals of SARA
Since SARA has a non-clinical symptom, the points to note that is important for farmers and nutritionists are summarized below.
Due to the SCFA accumulation, the ruminal pH drops. This parameter also crucial for acidosis however the essential point is not only reduction of pH but also the number of hours of reduction, because the fluctuations that occur during the day due to feeding estion are ordinary. Because of the high production of SCFA resulted in lower ruminal motility that can be caused dry matterin take reduction, since the bacterial endotoxins release and the osmolority of rumen increase as well [4].
The SARA also alters the faeces particle size that may be enlarged around 1-2cm or including undigestible grains and consistency that can be described as bright yello wish with foamy appearing and a sweets our smell [5]. Additionally, SARA can be caused the depression of milk fat due to the high grain-poor forage diets because of the acetic acid comes from forages.
Milk Fat Depression
Inruminants, milk fat is produced by de novo synthesis with aceticacid and B-hydroxybutyric acid. Lower forage: concentrate ratio in diets reduces the concentration of acetic acid and therefore the amount of milk fat. On the other hand, Higher concentate diets increase the propionic acid concentration which has anticetogenic effect that decrease the usage of B-hydroxy butyric acid. Additionally while propionic acid increase, Vitamin B12 production levels decrease. This leads to a reduce in milk fat synthesis from acetic acid in udder. The last correlation between SARA nad the milk fat depression is that high concentrate and limited forage increase relative glucose and then insulin activity which causes a decrease in plasmatrigly cerides due to lypolysis [6].
Conclusion
Taken together, it is possible to prevent the negative effects of SARA which causes significant economic loss especially milk fat depression, through managements and feding strategies. Firslty, farmers and nutritionists should be a good observer by monitoring the cows and take precautions in the correct way. Because the signals of SARA is crucial for diagnosing this metabolic disorder.

Keep your Blood pH Alkaline
Keep your Blood pH Alkaline
Alkaline vs Acidic The pH level of a substance is the measure of potential hydrogen on a scale of 0 to 14. On this scale, a measurement of less than 7.0 is called acidic, and greater than 7.0 is alkaline. In this way, pH is used to measure acidity versus alkalinity in everything from the soil in your garden, and the water in your swimming pool, to the blood cells in your body. Why is Alkaline…

“Amai molto di più i tuoi dilemmi. Amai molto di più le tue disarmonie che le armonie. Amai molto di più le tue stonature che le intonazioni, più le tue incertezze, le tue ossessioni, i tuoi insuccessi…e i tuoi regressi. Ho sorseggiato, premurosamente, il flusso delle tue lacrime. Ho amato e ricorderò i tuoi ciclici inverni con il rimpianto vorace di come, insensatamente e illimitatamente, avrei potuto anche amare le estati di te.”

What Health Issues Are Related To Acid PH?
The idea of acid alkaline imbalance as the cause of disease isn't new. In 1933 a New York doctor named William Howard Hay released a groundbreaking book,"A New Health Era" in which he asserts that all disease results from autointoxication (or "self-poisoning") due to acid accumulation in the body.

Bacteria, Germs, Microbes, Yeast, Fungus, Mold, Viruses - they are NOT the enemy, they are a natural part of our biological terrain and serve a purpose. For clarity and for purpose of this write-up, these microscopic aides are collectively referred to as “bacteria”. Also, I have written this from a human perspective but the same information applies to ALL animals, even our beloved pets.
Bacteria are everywhere and are an integral part of every living being. They aid us in a multitude of tasks within the body including digestion, metabolism, development, and detoxification. They really help keep us going and I would hate to think of where we would be without them. Sadly, the teachings of modern medicine try to convince us that some of these bacteria are “bad”. They tell us stories of sickness and death to make us fear them. Then they use our fear to sell us hope and “health”… in a bottle. And we buy into it again, and again.
But health doesn’t come in a bottle. And there is NO SUCH THING as BAD BACTERIA. There is just… bacteria. Ingeniously designed by nature, bacteria act as the “garbage men” of the body by removing wastes and toxins during the detoxification process. They are created by the body’s own cells and can be transformed into different types (yeast, fungus, virus, etc.) depending on the specific toxins that need to be addressed. Often times, they are the first indicator of a dis-ease process currently underway and are the “messengers” telling us to take heed and correct the offense. Your bacteria are made by you, for you! Let that sink in for a moment.
The symptoms of illness that we experience are the outward signs of the natural detoxification process taking place within the body. And they are signs you should not ignore. However, if your first response is to grab drugs or “remedies” (natural or not), you will NOT be doing yourself any favours! Anti-biotics, anti-fungals, anti-virals, anti-inflammatories, etc. Do you see a trend here? They are all ANTI-something and that SOMETHING is an essential part of the healing process.
ANTI means opposed to, or against a particular thing. BIOTIC means pertaining to life.
ANTIBIOTICS = AGAINST LIFE
Antibiotics, Antifungals, antivirals, etc. kill off the body’s “garbage men” and other living cells too! What would happen to your house if you could no longer take out the trash? Think about that!
When the trash piles up, inflammation occurs due to constant irritation from toxic materials. Inflammation or fever is a crisis response to a life-threatening situation. Inflammation is the body’s most intense effort to cleanse and restore itself. They are healing activities. The idea of suppressing the body’s attempt to heal itself is the equivalent to hitting a drowning man over the head so he will stop struggling. And that’s exactly what the doctors do! They prescribe ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES! I could go on, but I think you get the idea….
So what happens when you administer “remedies”, whether natural or unnatural?
You kill the messenger (bacteria)! You know, those microscopic aides who were working so tirelessly to rid your body of the harmful toxins that caused your flu, cold, yeast infection, UTI, etc.? You’ve killed them!
Your symptoms stop and you feel better. But don’t be fooled, you weren’t “cured”. You interrupted the detoxification process, sent the wastes back into storage and forced the body to deal with yet another, but more important toxic load than the original offense. Congratulations, you have effectively ADDED to your existing toxic load!
Whether it be days, weeks, months, or a year even, your symptoms WILL COME BACK (does flu season ring a bell? Or recurring ear infections or UTIs?). It does not matter if your doctor calls it the flu, or cystic acne, or even cancer - they are all the same dis-ease: toxemia (acidosis). And toxemia will stay with you until you have properly addressed and removed the cause(s).
SO please, next time you reach for a remedy to your unpleasant yet often short-lived symptoms, think about what you are doing. Will it truly help you, or are you adding to your dis-ease?
Also, don’t be duped into believing that natural “remedies” are harmless. Though many are less toxic than pharmaceuticals, they can still cause harm the body and upset (or stop) the detox process.
Colloidal Silver - Anti-biotic with anti-viral and anti-fungal properties
Honey/ Bee Propolis - Honey is bee vomit - it is not a food. It is highly acidic and has antibacterial and antibiotic properties, which means it is toxic.
Apple Cider Vinegar - ACV may neutralize the acids, but the problem is that it can greatly interfere with digestion. Anything accompanying vinegar into the stomach will not be digested (Dr. Herbert Shelton (see comments for link to more information).
Garlic/ Onion - Garlic and onions are toxic to pets and humans alike. The toxin they contain, called "allicin" is nature's way of keeping the plant from being eaten by fungi, bacteria, and other little critters, including, perhaps, fleas. I guess even fleas are smarter than humans.
Tumeric - Turmeric does nothing to address the root cause of disease and acts in the same way medications do by reducing inflammation. Inflammation is part of the healing process.
Oil of Oregano – anti-biotic and anti-fungal agent
Probiotics – contrary to popular belief, the body is designed to manage its own flora population
Cloves – anti-viral, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties
Bone Broth - https://www.nomorevetbills.com/2018/bone-broth-for-dogs/
Milk Products – meant for feeding a growing baby of the same species and should not be fed to adults; otherwise, it is considered highly acidic and mucus-forming.
Yogurt & Fermented Foods – highly acidic and mucus-forming. Fermented foods will cause gas, which can lead to pain and discomfort, panting and in many cases diarrhea as the body tries to flush the fermented product out quickly so the alcohols don’t cause cellular damage.
Brewer’s Yeast - a popular high-protein supplement, contributes to uric acid formation in the body. It is a waste product of the brewing industry, resulting when the barley is turned into malt. The industry then has no use for it. It is a “dead” food, because it is heated before marketing to destroy the yeast organisms. It should never be included in the diet.
