Just popping in to tell you how great your work for this (relatively) small fandom is. It must've taken so long to go through all those races make all those pointers and observations and compile a list thank you. If batsplat has no fans then I am no longer in this world etc etc

that's so sweet... honestly the compiling bit didn't take that long; this is all based on notes that have been sitting in a google doc for aeons (a lot of them were a product of the pandemic lol). it's nice to share them for a change, and I'm glad people have enjoyed the write-ups!

of the idea that miguel is not using his full strength? like if i were to put an arbitrary figure against it, let's say he uses about 70% of his full potential, on average? maybe less? for reasons that may revolve around, or relate to... him being not so keen to lean into the more spidery aspects of his messed up existence? because he, perhaps, still wants to approach things with a human perspective?

None of the characters in Honkai Star Rail have confirmed birthdays, except March if you want to count the day she was found as her birthday. This kind of makes sense in the game's context. Time doesn't work the same across all of space, and it's likely that every world uses a different calendar unless otherwise standardized by the IPC's Amber Eras (which aren't even consistent with each other to begin with), besides the moot point of a singular date being pretty insignificant to most of the universe in the grand scheme of existence.

However, I really like Genshin Impact's birthday mail sending you messages and gifts from the roster of playable characters. It's a shame HSR doesn't do that. The closest we've gotten to that is the mail where Silver Wolf "hacked" servers to send out 10 fuel to all players, but that was more so for shits and giggles as part of her promotional campaign during her banner.

What I'm trying to say is that I've now unofficially declared February 16th (or the 17th depending on your timezone) to be Yanqing's birthday. That's the day his Character Introduction was posted on Hoyolab, so that's kind of like the day he was "born" and introduced to us. And if that was the day he was found by the General Jing Yuan, that could make for a sad and joyful story too, what with being days after Yuanxiao/the Lantern Festival... I'm cooking, let me sit on this.

man, between the fact that the next scadrial arc is called the ghostbloods and what we've seen of scadrial in the space age via (probably) sixth of the dusk and (definitely) the sunlit man, they... definitely aren't quite being set up to be the good guys here.

i wish i liked more dubstep. i really WANT to like color bass (esp. the people who either have good melody or in some way push the style forward) but it just like. does not click. also tearout brostep, those basses are fucking COOL but it's just so Not For Me as a song

so many fucking killer melodic elements in color bass all wrapped up in Yup that's a song alright. skybreak is so tragic for me cuz for a bunch of his songs i am in love with everything AROUND the drop just not the drops themselves, with some exceptions like most of Parachute remix or honestly all of Accelerate w/ Teminite

Accelerator: yeah he's just named that control all vectors. Is introduced as an antagonist who has to kill a set number of ranked espers to proceed to the highest rank. Yes he's a government experiment but is having fun in his fucked up manner. Also since there aren't many people of the required category, the government made a bunch of clones of a single girl and he has to kill all the clones. Levelling up game style. Got no jutsued or sth by the protagonist and is currently babysitting a little girl version of the clones he was supposed to kill. Still fucked up though

Allen Walker: To start, his left arm is a demon hunting weapon that can turn into a sword that he at one time stabbed himself through the chest with intentionally. His uncle lives in his mind and is trying to take over his body. His left eye was cursed by his adoptive dad after he tried to bring him back to life. He has gone through so much in his life and there is still soo much that we don't know about him. And there is so much more I could talk about but won't. Vote Allen if you like characters that have never had a break in their life
