You know the problem with having talked in depth for so many years about how to spot antisemetic dogwhistles and how people use conspiratorial thinking and bad faith derailing arguments to promote bigotry against Jews. Is that now everyone knows how to do it on purpose. Lol.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but famed civil rights leaders Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X were not talking about pogroms or shooting up music festivals and daycares when they said “a riot is the language of the unheard” and resistance “by any means necessary” respectively.

I'm sorry - ALL OF ISRAEL is committing atrocities huh?? The whole country?? That's quite the feat, getting that many people on board
Unless, of course, you're placing all of the blame on every single person in Israel instead of blaming the people in charge, because God forbid your standards be equal across the board - country to country. God forbid you talk about Israel the same way you talked about Russia, the same way you talk any time something awful happens due to government choices in literally any other country.
It's "don't blame the whole country, don't blame the average citizens, make sure when you discuss this you make it clear who exactly you mean" until it's Israel.
It's "don't go after the citizens" until it's Israelis
It's "don't go after innocent people" until you see a Jewish person
And of course - it's "everyone has a right to their homeland" until that homeland is Israel
No no. Israel is just evil right?? Everyone and everything there is evil. Condemn it all, group everyone together - gotta make sure you don't miss any group you could possibly blame and thus attack "with good reason".
Israel isn't a perfect country, no country is, but stop talking about it like it's the devil's pit of ultimate evil

I don’t think I can even remember seeing one singular post about antisemitism since 10/7 (and I’ve seen a lot) that wasn’t met with outright doubt (“has this actually happened to anyone?”), suspicion (“weird that OP hasn’t said anything about X in this post that isn’t about X, must secretly mean something about what they think that they’re not telling us, and it must be bad” or attempts at moral slander to delegitimize whatever incident the person was talking about (…as if OP being a shitbag in whatever way suits your fancy would make the antisemitism okay? …Do you scream racial slurs at transphobes and the like too? Do you think bigotry stops being bigotry or becomes okay if a person “deserves” it? Do you think bigotry can be earned?)
And if the thing being talked about is something like… a worldwide problem tons of Jews all over have been dealing with and talking to each other about, there’s always someone who asks the OP for the burden of proof, when it’s either an easily google-able thing, (from synagogue shootings, to magen davids being banned at pride events and general feelings of being unwelcome from queer Jews, to the hate-crime rape of a 12 year old, to harassment of Jews from college protestors) or in the most annoying cases, said proof/example is sometimes even just sitting in the comments of the same damn post for any old idiot to see with their eyes.
…Do other minority groups normally get this level of straight up disbelief over our experiences from the very people who claim to stand against the kinds of things we’ve experienced and are experiencing, or do people just make a special exception for us?

if I’m honest, I have never seen so much blatant actual antisemitism in my life as I have in the past 2 weeks. overwhelmingly on the left, but on the right too. I didn’t know it was this bad.

I'm terribly sorry for not posting much these days, I've been busy and sick and working on Down Below the Trench all at once. I'm having alot of fun working on DBTT and doing some comic research/skimming on the side for it but otherwise it's been alot of procrastinating and stress this past month.

idk man i've reblogged and said things about how certain people on this site and the bird one are putin defenders, syrian/ukranian genocide deniers, outright white supremacists, avowed antisemites, etc. pointed out the ways in which the current moment is being happily hijacked by white supremacists with very strong and obvious agendas. and some of you guys have reblogged and liked those posts, and then immediately gone on to continue reblogging violently antisemitic things from the very same people. so i don't think it's sinking in tbh
(and like, the posts in question are never anything useful or links to articles or anything remotely "worth" platforming genocide deniers, just the usual "DON'T SCROLL PAST THIS, POSTING IS ACTIVISM" shit)
#if i had a nickel for every kpop blog making weird inflammatory posts about how the most important thing to do is Keep Posting bc donations#and calling reps are wastes of times#i would have many nickels#not even just this last month i mean like just in general it's a very popular position among that crowd#seeing people say ''we're winning'' about something like this is just....sick doesn't begin to describe it#i've lost so much respect for so many people. people i've known for years#who will apparently turn around and retweet fucking hasanabi and even jackson hinkle and other nazis#btwn this and the heard trial debacle last year the mask has been ripped off the online left tbh#and because people are going to call me a zionist for this (since they know they're not allowed to say kike) i'm not fucking talking about#antizionism i'm talking about ''ship the jews back to brooklyn'' ''israelis control the world media'' ''jews expressing concern about risin#antisemitism are personally killing palestinians'' ''the hamas attacks didn't happen/were justified'' invoking the holocaust joking about i#etc etc etc etc#just mask off shit#it's the genocide deniers who have really broken me i had no idea how many of this website's big funnymen think putin is a cool dude#but they care about palestine. allegedly. hm#txt#inb4 people come to me with ''it's so easy to not be an antisemite why can't people do it :('' no actually it's hard#that's why they won't do it. because it's too hard for them.

everyone is wildly primed to have their anger and fear used against them right now, so while you are advocating and protesting, make sure you’re not falling into shit that is going to cause more harm
The genocide in Gaza is horrific. And it is a genocide. The words coming directly from the mouths of those in charge of Israel’s government are those that demonstrate an intent to utterly erase any Palestinian from Gaza, whether through displacement or death.
Do not let people convince you that this is the fault of Jews. Do not let yourself be swayed into conspiracies that Jews control Hollywood, or the government, or are otherwise collectively conspiring to do harm. It’s bullshit. It causes real, measurable harm and fear. It continues to make rising antisemitism worse. And not only does that antisemitism lead to death, it rightfully increases the fear of more horrors happening.
The attack on Oct 7 was also horrific. As is the rising antisemitism around the world. And the fact that there has been almost no space to honor those dead is a tragedy.
Do not be convinced that the only way to protect the Jewish people is to build a State where only one religious or ethnic group is allowed to live freely. Do not be convinced that safety is dependent upon protecting that State at all costs. When one State is allowed to defend itself by any means necessary, any means will be used and any action will be excused. And do not be convinced that all Arabs or Muslims are responsible for those atrocities. Islamophobia is also on the rise and is also causing real, measurable harm and fear.
Your anger and fear will be used to excuse horrors if you let it.
Don’t let it.

who's the real villain: the massive and chronically colonizing imperialist countries that constantly give Othered ethnic, religious, and/or racial groups false incentive to kill each other and the weapons to kill each other better with so they can step in and reap the rewards after the fires die down, or the largely marginalized ethnic/religious group who experienced a loss (genocide) of over 6 million lives a suspiciously short amount of time before Israel was established? hmmmmmmmm

It's funny how people will say that the media hasn't been reporting on the Israeli violence towards Palestinians that has lead up to this while that has quite literally been on the front page of every major news outlet in the world every day for the past few weeks. Tell me you get all your information off of tiktok without telling me you get all your information off of tiktok.

It's jarring to see so many antisemitic bloggers take a break from posting their regular insane antisemitic conspiracy theories so that they can pay homage to the victims of the Holocaust :/
