Demibino
It started with an attempt to try something out , that seemed to be very well received (which of course made me very happy๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ) and then it became several pictures โ™ฅ

So... with the ideas of crossovers still jumping around in my head, I figured I would revisit one again and try figuring out how I could mesh the two universes. Once again, it is SMT and the Hades games.
Thinking about if Zagreus was added as an optional boss in SMT, I imagine he would he sort of like the Mitama in a way, where every time you run into him, his weaknesses and resistances are different. If there is one thing I would make a pretty consistent thing about Zag, it would be that he has a pretty high agility Stat, being able to dodge attack pretty easily, so you need to debuff his evasion. Same thing could even go for Melinoe as well. Imagine them being an annoying duo boss where it's about debuffing their evasion while still trying to keep but consistent damage, as maybe they are also a bit more willing than some others to use healing. There's also the chance they have Death Defiance as a skill, allowing them to continue a battle with something like half health if they die in battle once.
Imagine if after defeating them enough time you get the chance to recruit them. Imagine that their weaknesses and resistances change every time they fall in battle. So, if they die in one fight with the capability of blocking fire, the next fight they may have the capability of resisting Charm. So, potentially if say joining the group for a battle with Demi-Fiend, Zagreus could be a big boon or bane for the fight. Same could go Melinoe. Also, for that reason, letting Zag and/or Mel die in battle does have the potential to be beneficial. For balance reasons, the weaknesses and resistances would not if you revived them during the same battle however. If either are brought back during the battle with Demi-Fiend, if Zag blocks charm, he still blocks charm. If Mel is weak to electric, she is still weak to electric. If you got both on your team, I can imagine they have the chance to use a special Magatsuhi skill, maybe called something like "Blood & Ghosts," where they call upon their bonds and increase the party's stats for however many turns.
I imagine for their builds, each of the children of Hadea would lean more towards physical or magical capabilities. Zag for the former, Mel for the latter. Maybe each could learn Almighty spells, just that Mel could reach those much faster than her older brother can.
One way I could see them being added is that they are explicitly from another world, maybe the justification for Zag being on the surface in Da'at is that his usual rules don't apply there. It would be a surprise for him and I imagine he would like being on the surface for a time, but would quickly get bored because it's pretty much just sands and ruins, nothing like the surface on his world. Even Mel would get tired of it, as despite being a bit more surface dwelling than her older brother, at least from what I can tell, the sand and ruins would get old for her as well. Oh, and imagine the headaches they would probably give everybody, from the Nahobino, to Demi-Fiend, to especially Abdiel. Oh, the fun! Imagine them annoying Dagda, wanting to know what his world like.

To be honest, I think the reason I love Ichiro Dazai so much as a character is that he was the best part of the original SMTV. His development from a naรฏve kid trying to make a name for himself and prove himself to others to becoming a religious zealot as a means to attach to something secure.
Tumblr media
SMTV Vengeance lets him take a bigger role in the story after his switch and gives more context on that side of the story onto why. He feels like he doesn't deserve anything. His friends are only his friends as his parents are rich and everyone sees him as a nuisance.
He spends most of the game trying to help the main cast, but they often brush him aside or lash out onto him. His only support figure is Abdiel, who begins to like him for his motivation and desires. Mastema was the final push onto his transformation. I really love the way he feels realistic.
I love Ichiro Dazai as a character because he feels like the most realistic person in the setting of SMTV; he feels isolated. He's scared of the new world around him, so he latches onto the one person who he feels might keep him safe then parrots her views as his own.

SMTVV SPOILERS
I think my main issue with Dazai's writing in V and my main issue with his writing in VV are largely the same but also different. In V, I hated how abrupt that heelturn was, but like... I could almost justify it. I could almost write it off as Abdiel's control over him, and his desperation to protect in a fucked up Law alignment way. It still isn't GOOD by any means, but I have to jump through less hoops to not hate him as a character. In VV, that heelturn is there but even LESS justified. I think the lack of the Pandemonic Summit and the political drama of the Nahobino defying the condemnation (which is why I still think that it should have been in Vengeance, in some manner, and that should've been where the Tsukuyomi Nahobino should have showed himself -- you know in V, how Koshimizu stands up to Abdiel in the way that makes you like the Chaos route more than Law? Yeah. imagine that but the Nahobino, unfused to reveal it's Tsukuyomi who defied the condemnation, the ultimate act of spitting in Abdiel's face) really works against Vengeance's story. I don't dislike it, obviously but Abdiel and Dazai feel like even LESS of characters here. And I know why. They aren't really needed for Law anymore. The Law vs Chaos dynamic is better in Vengeance, sure, but now it's between the originally unaligned Tao Isonokami and the new Yoko Hiromine -- for the large part, the previously Chaos Yuzuru and Koshimizu become Law aligned. They largely want what Tao wants, a preserved and idealized Tokyo. it's done in a way that does not feel disingenuous to their characters, and doesn't feel like it's shuffling things too much. But now there are a lot of characters who are law aligned. And the chaos alignment is just a little bit too radical for someone like Abdiel or Dazai. So where does that leave them? It falls apart pretty easily. Abdiel and Dazai really have no grounds to stand on. They want law, but without Abdiel being willing to become a Nahobino (which I actually surprisingly think is more true to her character, I do not think she was pushed hard enough to justify becoming a Nahobino and defying the condemnation in V) and without their stance being more overtly "I hate the Nahobino and wish for them all to be purged", they aren't really left with a proper place in the story. In the least fucked up way possible, I think they should have been killed off as shock value rather than allowed to stifle as bad characters in the story. It would've added fuel to the fire of either alignment, and also not allowed Abdiel and Dazai to suffer from the writing disease of "I don't know what to do with these characters so I'll just make them Bad".
