Grepre characters but as cats;

Laurent - asshole attention whore cat who will splay himself out on top of whatever ur trying to do instead of paying attention to him. Licks himself shamelessly in front of you on a regular basis. probably a long haired cat, with a very bright coat.

 Makoto - orange cat at heart. never knows what's going on, constantly bewildered and falling off things. not sure why, but he’s short haired. amazingly behaved if he likes you, but has been known to make eye contact and push glasses off tables.

 Cynthia - the type of cat that loves to snuggle, then randomly bite you once she's done instead of just walking away. She would throw up on your shoes if you gave her anything but expensive wet food (as would Laurent, probably)

 Abby - they found this cat in an alley picking fights. grumpy, hates being touched, but will lurk in the same room as you then act like it's a coincidence. she would be a tortoiseshell, like my old cat.

I can already smell the roykeeley discourse a mile away talking about who did or didn’t like the way they got back together so this is me giving a preemptive CUT IT OUT. STOP IT. YOU BAFFOONS.

that whole scene was perfect??? it wasn’t over the top or cheesy or unrealistic, but there was still a very subtle, gentle swell to it. in the larger context of the season it would have felt maybe a little less abrupt had jack not been around for so long but that does not by any means make it rushed.

roy realized he had to do the growing on his own, he did it, and then he went to her heart in hand to apologize. and the most important part of that was that he wasn’t trying to win her back!! he wasn’t trying to get her to give him a chance, he was just genuinely humbling himself before her like a goddamn period drama husband, letter in hand, telling her how powerful she is and how he fucked up and letting her know he never wanted to hurt her. that he was sorry. that he was working on his shit. if it’s enough for keeley (who was still very much in love with him and if you haven’t been reading that in her scenes all season then wake up babes!!) then it should be enough for you too. they finally grew into the place they needed to be to be together!!

I feel like posting for the really under rated shows and movies like santa clarita diet, my babysitters a vampire, and there’s an alien in the attic because i’ve been looking for any kind of posts on the characters for so long and on different platforms like wattpad AO3 and on here and there’s relatively nothing and it makes me so sad. These characters are so good but there’s no recognition.

My thoughts on Great Pretender Razbliuto (warning spoilers)

I’ve just gotten round to watching the spin off show and I’ll be honest I didn’t think we were going to get anymore content, i know they hinted at it with the showing of Dorothy at the end of season 2 but I didn’t think GP was popular enough so the fact that we have a spin off is a blessing haha. I know there is always that hope when you watch a spin off to see the original characters and I know it’s not guaranteed but I wish we could have more than a name drop for Abby and Cynthia. I will say I really did like how they built up the tension at the end for Laurent’s reveal. I like most of the new characters I think they have fun personalities that make me laugh ( I’ll be honest when I watched the trailer I thought Hayashi was a masc lesbian.. haha ). The artwork is still stunning especially the colourful backgrounds and character designs, the linework somehow looks even more fluid than the actual original show if that’s even possible?! The plot is fine, I think I’m just nostalgic for our main 4 ganging up together on a target that it feels kinda weird having an “on the run” type plot instead of a high tension personal scamming game. The music is excellent as per usual. The visual Parallels were so well thought out!

I would say overall it’s pretty good, I prefer the main series but I’ve always liked Dorothy as a character so it’s fun to see her more also I think that this is probably going to be the last piece of great pretender official content that we’ll get ( unless the artist who’s drawing the manga gets better ) so I’m quite happy with this film :)
