I wonder if this was that event that was talked about, during ABC's special, saying that Aaliyah put her foot down (to be the artist to close the show) in her hometown??

Kelly goes remix, I said ok let's see & from the start I loved it, that remix that video, love it! Everytime I see that video even today I still think about that time when I first saw this video in '94 & I still love it!

Aaliyah attends an “Aaliyah” album signing in Dallas at Sound City Music Store in Dallas TX {August 17, 2001}. This would be the last time she holds an event for an album signing for her diehard fans. 8 days later in a tragic plane accident, her and 8 others pass away.

December 10, 2002, Compilation album “I Care 4 U” is released. Blackground Records and Universal Music decided to release a posthumous record that included songs from her studio albums and previously unreleased tracks and demos, recorded between 1993 and 2001; including “I Miss You”, “Don’t Know What To Tell You” and “Erica Kane” along with a few of Aaliyah’s greatest hits such as “One In A Million”, “Are You That Somebody” and “At Your Best (You Are love)”. Aaliyah performs 'More Than a Woman' on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. {July 25th 2001}  Although this was not her last TV appearance, this would be her last TV performance. Aaliyah passes away one month later (8/25/01) with eight others in a plane crash accident.
