Let's put Good Guys into 40k: The Kin Divided...
Eldar are in sorry spot in these times, broken, shattered and few. But, some learned from their mistakes, some will listen to others, there is some hope yet to their species....it's just a god is after their souls and their own gods are almost gone....
But what is a god if not a large weapon, and what is a weapon if not a tool, and...what can you do with a broken tool? Reforge and remake it of course...

Let's put Good Guys into 40k: The Broken Kin
The orks fallen a great distance from days of krork, now just fighting all things and each other, forgotten many goals that old ones might have had with their species....but at least one krork remembers it... And thus, with some glorious violence, the ork waagh follows their new leader...into a "trap" of sorts....

Let's Put Good Guys into 40k: The Ravenous Kin
Patch dealing with the horrors of the void...the things like her that want her mind subsumed and consumed..yet for now she resists...and perhaps eventually they will find way to deal with it for good...

Let's put good guys into 40k: Slave-Warrior children of the God-King?
And on this part...less action, more talking as the poor children of men are abused by some weird chaos cult....or so is assumed by the illinformed band of good natured aliens, however, perhaps it will work out, for massive change now is wholy possible....

Let's put Good Guys into 40k: Warpstorm. Second episode of the tale, as the crew of Third-Fang find themselves in the heart of a warpstorm...while it itself is no true danger in the end, it does reveal something that would crush most souls....the galaxy is in much worse state then they expected, chaotic, messy...angry... But, perhaps this is the reason why they are here? Maybe..it's time for someone to help galaxy that doesn't want to be helped....

And so...into 42nd millenium we go....starting out small and simple - what happens when a group with sun torpedos find themselves...in a star system where stole just got stolen?
Tumblr media
Let's put some good guys into 40k - A little comic idea that came to me, inspired by concepts of "star trek crews would beat the snot out of most of 40k" as discussion of crossovers. It got me thinking, that you can do it, with 40k lore as is, for 42nd milenium is when galaxy is old, broken and tired.... So what happens when you throw in a group of really just good decent people, with enough firepower to make sure no one really bothers them.....
Well this is that story here....or more precisely, how..those poor fellows end up in the worst galaxy there is for em...

someone got really mad at me for being pro-pornography so i'd like to be annoying for a little longer:
-there are enormous problems with exploitation in the porn industry that harm and endanger the people within it, and that harm is carried out mostly against women and minorities
-this is Bad
-however the last century of passing laws against pornography hasn't actually helped any of those problems, and what sex workers tend to advocate for is the legitimization of their labor, so that they can then access the same protections and regulations that people in other industries can access
-for instance football players, miners, roofers, and warehouse workers are also exploited and endangered by their professions, have to work long hours, and can end up traumatized and disabled by unregulated and unsafe working conditions. these people are used up and thrown away by powerful bosses they can't individually challenge.
-however because these industries are not de facto illegal to participate in, when these people form unions and demand better working conditions, they can at least fight for their rights.
-sex workers, who engage in heavily stigmatized work that's also often illegal, have little recourse to demand better treatment.
-even if you don't like porn, and especially if you don't like porn, if you care about the women who are exploited in pornography, you need to advocate for the legality of pornography.
-the more illegal the porn industry is, the less safe and fair it is, and people will still be working in it, no matter how illegal it is.
-again: the porn industry should be regulated like any other industry and subject to laws guaranteeing fair compensation for labor, safe working conditions, and legal resources for workers suffering exploitation and abuse.
-once it is legal to do sex work, then women can bring charges against the men who have broken their contracts and abused them.
-and that is why i push back against posts saying that pornography is evil. it is an entertainment product, made by people, to meet an ongoing demand. criminalizing the consumption and production of it may slightly lessen the demand at the incredible cost of endangering everyone involved. and i think that is what's evil.

KHORNE
An interpretation of the Blood God, I wanted to portray him as this conceptual being of rage, with changing and morphing form. Every part of his body filled with wrath, like flowing and pulsating red-hot metal.

Wait Orks reincarnate?
Basically. Kinda. Orks definitely believe they reincarnate. The belief is that, when Orks die, their souls go to their particular psychic realm/afterlife (Da Great Green) and are eventually placed into new bodies.
It's not a "full" reincarnation most of the time. If you kill Grozbit Axebreaka, he's not inherently going to come back as Grozbit Axebreaka. His soul, his fundamental consciousness, genetic memories and psychic spark of life, will be reused to create a new Ork.
There are exceptions to this (Like Makari and potentially Da Red Gobbo) who always come back as themselves. You also will also see the occasional Greenskin who remembers bits of previous consciousnesses, or retains personality elements.
Pulling back from the Orks' view on it, it does make sense that they possess these features when you consider what they were. The Krork were (as far as we know) a warrior species designed by the Old Ones to assist the Aeldari in the War in Heaven. The ability to be rapidly formed from a psychic storage point with genetically encoded information already in you would be exceptionally useful, and necessary given the scale of the war and the death tolls involved. Since that time, the Orks (and the Warp) have both degraded, so what we see of them is, ultimately, an imperfect, less consistent rendition of the original.
I recommend the Ghazghkull Thraka novel by Nate Crowley if you want to take a look at a narrative that more strongly explores/infers what Orks were, and how alien they actually are. There's a great scene where, if you read it purely from the Ork perspective, Ghazghkull has a seizure, has a vision from Gork and Mork, and then tells everyone that they need to clear off from the planet they're on because Gork and Mork are bored of it. If you read past that, though, it becomes clear that he's straight up had a seizure due to an informational overload drawn from his genetic lineage, and has basically done freehand astrophysical equations to predict the approaching death of a nearby star based on the appearance of the aurora it was projecting. Lots of shit like that.
Anyway, I digress. Yes, Orks can sort of reincarnate, and it's very interesting.

the actual explanation is funnier. He orders them locally made because necromunda just makes those but doesn't really export em much.

I am actually mad about this. I don't care how big a deal Lord Helmawr thinks he is, disintegrators should not be so commonplace in 40k that you can equip your enforcers with them.
