And I put that cape on, and I just fantasized about what it would be like to fly all over the world, no one picking on you, live forever … I was a pretty shy kid, so I didn't have a lot of friends. But I'm sure you can understand that? nandor: Not really. I was rich and a jock … but I can imagine. Must have been very, um … hard.

or: it was in this most recent rewatch of 6x03 that i realized that nandor's superhero proposal, while very random on the surface, is actually about him trying to give guillermo his lifelong dream of what it would feel like to be a vampire, since actually being a vampire didn't fulfill it.

When Solas says

and

it makes me cry SO MUCH because that "for now" really implies he was planning ahead, that he was hoping Lavellan would accept his full identity, and they would stay together.

That "for now" means he already had more gifts in mind, more ways to show her what she meant to him. In that moment, in that glade, under those circumstances, he could only give her the truth she deserved - so words, knowledge, love and respect in the form of a spoken revelation -, but what about later? What was his next gift to her going to be? Something tangible, like a love memento, something precious to wear and show everyone? More knowledge and wisdom to share with her? Memories and scenes from his old life?

Weekes said Solas was ready to tell her the truth, forget about his duty, and lose himself in Lavellan, but chickened out at the last second. So I'm really curious to know what kind of future he envisioned in those blissful last moments before he lost his courage - what other presents and displays of love he was ready to give to her.

The last time Edwin saw his own face was probably when he was still alive and the most recent glimpse at himself in hell was when his face was covered in blood with deep claw marks running through almost half of it, so I imagine his image of himself has to be quite murky as of now

So when Charles draws him (as an act of love) and Edwin sees the drawing, he goes

"Oh that's very skillful of you, Charles. You are quite good at portraits. And this one even has a bow tie like me, how delightful! Do keep at it."

And since the drawing is just so beautiful, he can't even imagine it being of him

I just noticed another Mikio/Taigen parallel.

The end of this relationship is Mizu throwing a knife at Mikio (what he thought he was teaching them), which kills him.

Awaiting the tea party with Heidi Shindo, Mizu and Taigen sort of start to bond. Mizu throws a chopstick back at him, reminiscent of Mikio’s death.

But Taigen catches it.

I feel like this symbolises the two men’s very different reactions to Mizu’s true nature and fighting ability. Mikio is caught off guard by it, Taigen is able to match it. It’s why Mikio leaves Mizu, and it’s why Taigen follows Mizu. It leads Mikio to cast Mizu aside, it leads Taigen to respect Mizu. Mikio calls Mizu a monster for it, Taigen admits Mizu is better than him.

It’s such a small thing, but it feels like Mizu goes “this is me”, and it’s Mikio’s downfall, but Taigen *catches* it.
