My name is Szkicel and this is where I talk about my upcoming webcomic about bugs!

I will be talking about lore, the characters (spoiler free ofc), reblogging things that inspire me (insects, nature, art etc), and I will answer any questions you guys might have regarding the project :D

The plot

Sayta & Neska are two cockroach sisters working as bounty hunters to put some food on the table. Sometimes Neska’s best friend Artun also tags along to help them out. They all live in the remains of a human house, where a lot of other bugs built their towns and cities.

Everything seems fine, until a certain someone walks into their lives to change them forever…

Roden „Rivalle” - a mysterious person operating an RBD (Robotic Body for Disabled) from an unknown location. He’s a criminal but also takes bounties to earn some money - which is why he often gets in the way of sisters’ work.

Berin - Neska’s close friend and Rasha’s work partner. He’s a fellow bounty hunter with a cheerful personality. He loves exploring and history

Lucas - Artun’s childhood friend. They lost touch when Artun moved out of their hometown, but they reunited by accident in their adulthood. He’s a pretty shy firefly, but gains more confidence around Artun. Works as an assistant for one of the detectives at a police station.

Rasha - Sayta’s ex, who has a huge beef with her after their break up. She’s another bounty hunter, working with her best friend Berin. She’s pretty calm and reasonable, but kind of loses her patience around Sayta which leads to many arguments and fights. She likes writing poetry in secret.

a few days ago I had a weird but entertaining dream

uh CW for cannibalism I guess (or more like a character being eaten by feral bugs)

I dreamt that someone made a very cool fan animation with Artun. The colors reminded me a bit of Hollow Knight (you know that muted blue that is everywhere in HK? Or just colors of City of Tears? Yeah like that) as well as the „texture” of art (like the style wasn’t HK-style simplistic, but the shading and lighting was). The short animation was about Artun getting cornered by some white isopods (or like those white crustaceans at the bottom of the ocean that eat remains) and slowly getting eaten. It was surreal and kind of horror-like, bc while there wasn’t any gore surprisingly, there was a lot of emotional turmoil at the start which slowly turned into like. Ecstasy. I couldn’t tell if it was for perverted reasons or because he was relieved to be dying (even if in a painful way). It ended with Artun disappearing, leaving only the isopods behind - laying in the same formation they were devouring him in

it was very well made and when I woke up i was like „shit was that a dream or did someone actually do it” and I immediately looked it up. Well, nothing came up obviously lmao. It was weirdly in character for him (but not canon obviously)

Anyway I haven’t touched procreate dreams since I made the first short animation tests, maybe i should make sth similar 🤔 maybe not like this exact thing (bc it felt too horny for someone getting eaten by feral animals lmao) but sth also slightly disturbing 🤔🤔🤔
