Is this a Herondale Birthmark??

I don't know whether I'm crazy and reading into this way too much or if this is only a coincidence, but I'm rereading the Greenhouse scene from CoB and I noticed this line:

("I wanted to cover my chicken pox scar." She [Clary] pulled the strap of the tank too aside slightly, showing the star-shaped white mark at the top of her shoulder.)

That description sounds like the Herondale birthmark. Also, it's too random of a thing for Clare to put in for no reason.

Naturally, I went to the TSC Wiki and tried to see if the Morgenstern family is somehow connected to the Herondales. Spoiler alert: they're not. Or at least to our knowledge they're not.

Another counter argument is that the birthmarks are passed down to the male descendants of Will Herondale...

Update (after reading into it a bit more):

So, it's just a random fact, right? Well, no. Because if you delve deeper into the Herondale Birthmark Wiki page, you'll see the Trivia:

Jocelyn and Clary Fray have the scars too because of the angel blood from Ithuriel Jocelyn was injected with during her pregnancy. (apparenyly Jocelyn reveals her scar in ch17 of City of Glass)

Weird that I didn't remember that, but, anywho, case closed!
